Here comes my Canadian Grand Prix 2022 rant:
McLaren looked decent in practice and I almost had hope.
Quali was absolutely something, one of the best qualis so far in my opinion, DANIEL MADE IT Q3 I WAS BURSTING WITH PRIDE
Race was a mess, at first it started boring then McLaren fucked up a fucking disaster with pit stop and I think calling both of them back to back for pit was a mistake. Also what was wrong with the car?? Lando was fucking stuck in P14-13 poor guy, also Daniel and brakes? COSTED HIM ONE POSITION BRUH, also that overtake on Yuki was truly good, I wanna see Vettel’s overtake. I’m really disappointed in McLaren though, they didn’t deliver for their drivers.

i’m just. i’m honestly just so proud of Mick for fighting through every single challenge that was thrown his way.
he came into single seaters with a name that hung heavy over his shoulder, with people saying that he would never be able to match up to his pedigree, in some of the most tumultuous years of his life, and he proved everyone wrong. he won the championships, in some of the most competitive feeder series years, and he proved that he had what it takes.
he finally made it to formula 1 and joined a team that had put $0 into developing the car he was about to drive, next to a teammate that didn’t deserve to be there and who was hellbent on making life at the team as goddamn difficult as possible, all because his father held the chequebook, and Mick accomplished things they never should have been able to in that car – getting through to Q2, not just once! holding off and fighting a Red Bull for 15+ laps, putting the car in a position to actually race, not just follow – once again, proving everyone wrong.
then he was finally given a car with some pace, and a teammate with experience, and all it took was one bad accident to be back at the start of his single seaters careers, with a name that rang too heavy and a ton of naysayers yelling about how he didn’t deserve his seat. the team ran his name through the mud, they strung him along until the literal last possible second, and still, the things he accomplished this season are huge – Q3′s, points, true racing battles, winning the race head to head against a teammate who’s had 7 more seasons of experience.
and i know he’s going to come back and prove them wrong again. because he has the fire and drive and passion and LOVE for this sport, and most importantly, because he’s shown how much he’s capable of and how much he can grow when given the chance. i can’t wait to watch his comeback.
for now – cheers to Mick for his unshakeable spirit. come back stronger and better and ready to prove them all wrong. all the love always.

As much as Haas is a trash team they do have the social media admins like Ferrari in a sense where their Social Media team is what saves them. They know what the people want and they give it to them. Mick thirst trap, check. Gunther merch, check. Top quality Twitter memes, check.
