every time someone does “valyrian culture was more egalitarian than andal culture” discourse i point to the fact that jaehaerys invented the doctrine of exceptionalism and was an evil misogynistic menace to every woman he knew, how visenya was not the ruler of their house despite being older, and how the vale which is STEEPED in andal culture & chivalry & the seven regularly has their houses ruled by women in a way that almost no other region outside of dorne has ntm having the ONLY ruling lady of a paramount house INCLUDING VALYRIAN AND FIRST MEN HOUSES and also i start shrieking
Arryn and Baratheon face claims?
Can’t tell you how much I Do Not Enjoy Baratheon faceclaims and fancasts where they have slim jawlines and tiny little noses NO they need a jaw like an anvil, a heavy brow, and a wide/big nose they are a very sturdy looking bloodline. Even the skinny sickly ones (Stannis) have a square face shape and deep set eyes under that strong brow
And on the flip side, I feel like Arryns would tend to have longer, oval shaped faces. Usually, their eyes would be very wide and round, with heavy lids. Some of their features are birdlike, especially their noses, which are almost all long and straight. Idk just something about slightly eerie looking Arryns

Small wonder her marriage had been so loveless. The Arryns were proud, and prickly of their honor. Lord Jon might wed Lysa to bind the Tullys to the cause of the rebellion, and in hopes of a son, but it would have been hard for him to love a woman who came to his bed soiled and unwilling. He would have been kind, no doubt; dutiful, yes; but Lysa needed warmth.
Finally was able to draw some fan art for Aemma! 😭
I like to think that she’s older in this piece (in my head cannon for this piece Aemma doesn’t end up traveling to Kings Landing until she’s a bit older. There’s a little AU that I’ve come up with where Aemma hopefully ends up with someone else, maybe this time around she gets to live a little bit longer). It’s kind of sad that there’s a very notable lack of fan art for Aemma, so that was one of the main reasons on why I drew this in the first place. This was meant to be a quick sketch of sorts, so I may end up changing her design later on if I’m able to draw more fan art of her.

Also I realized later that Arryns actually had more family members, but they were so in the background in the beginning of the story I completely forgot about them.
