Do better bidding Ramadan Farewell

If you didn't welcome Ramadan in a better way, then at least bid it farewell well!

إن الخيل إذا شارفت نهاية المضمار when the race horse knows that it’s nearing the end of the track

بذلت قصارى جهدها لتفوز بالسباق it exerts all its effort to win the race

فلا تكن الخيل أفطن منك do not allow the race horse to be more clever than you!

فإنما الأعمال بالخواتيم for verily deeds are judged by their conclusions

فإنك إذا لم تحسن الاستقبال لعلك تحسن الوداع so if you didn’t do well with welcoming ramadān, then perhaps you will do better bidding it farewell

Ya'kub AlayhiSalam Had Specifically Told Yusuf AlayhiSalam To Not Speak About His Dream To His Brothers.

Ya'kub AlayhiSalam had specifically told Yusuf AlayhiSalam to not speak about his dream to his brothers. He had foreseen the jealousy of his brothers towards Yusuf, and he for his safety, and for the fear of their mischief, made sure that Yusuf AlayhiSalam wouldn't suffer from their evils. But, even though after all the precautions and care, his brothers still found a way to get rid of him. They still out of the already existing jealousy, caused him to be separated from his beloved father. This shows, that sometimes in our lives, we might take all the necessary steps to prevent a misfortune, we might be very cautious to not step on cracked glasses, but if its meant to happen, the feets will still bleed. If not from glass pieces, but with thorns that we couldn't see in our way. This is what Qadr is. Imagine the pain a father had gone through, when he earnestly tried to protect his one son, from his another sons, and still had to loose him to supposed death. But this doesn't mean we should loose hope when our plans fail. We should still be hopeful, even in intense grief and sorrow. This is what sabr upon the Qadr is.,that Ya'kub AlayhiSalam possessed, only to meet his son, in a much dignified position one day. As a Rasul, and a righteous ruler.

One more thing we are reminded from the story of Yusuf AlayhiSalam is that love and dislikes are a forms of rizq. No matter how handsome, and loving Yusuf AlayhiSalam was, his brothers still could never bring themselves to love him until he helped and forgave them after years and years of their last encounter.

Also, no matter how much his brothers tried to take his place in their father's heart, they couldn't. Even if he was supposedly dead, Ya'kub AlayhiSalam couldn't bring himself to love any other son more than he loved his Yusuf. The love and hatred we have, its like a share we've been given for each and every person who holds some position in our life. We cannot make someone love us, we cannot force them to care for us. And we cannot even love someone despite having resons to ! Similarly we cannot make someone hate us ,those who are meant to give us love, they will. Those who aren't, won't. We might hate people without any reason, until one day we realise, it wasn't even justified and we will need our own time to process things. Everyone does. Things come, when its time for them to come. Not early. Nor late. But on their appointed time. At the very perfect time, Allah makes things happen!

There are many beautiful lessons from this story.

First, is the power of dhikr and istighfar – it opens doors to blessings and is a means for your du’as to be answered.

Second, there is a connection between the baker’s remembrance of Allah and his service to others – his dhikr didn’t prevent him from fulfilling his (halal) job; and crucially, that dhikr softened his heart so that he was not only mindful of Allah but also mindful of the needs of others.

Third, a general lesson is the profound importance of hospitality, even to strangers – those guests bring with them great blessings, and we should never turn them away.

Fourth, Allah is Al-Lateef! The One who is Subtle in His plans, and Sensitive to people’s unspoken hopes and dreams. Something that at first seemed negative (being refused by the mosque) ended up being the means by which something positive could happen for both the Imam and the baker.

And finally, we learn about the humility of Imam Ahmed – he could easily have utilised his fame to his advantage! He only needed to tell the mosque caretaker, or anyone for that matter, who he was and he would have received the best hospitality imaginable. But instead, he refused to turn his knowledge into a privilege. He refused to have an advantage above other people simply due to his fame, and was willing to be treated the same as everyone else. A further testament to his lack of ego was the way he observed the baker while he worked through the night – the great Imam Ahmed was open to learning from others who were not as learned as him, and realised that truth and wisdom is often preserved and passed down by those who have no name. He constantly sought to learn, even from a humble baker.

We can always learn from others, no matter who they are.

We All Remember How Allah Saved Bani Israel Through The Prophet Musa AS From The Tyranny Of Firaun. Bani

We all remember how Allah saved Bani Israel through the Prophet Musa AS from the tyranny of Firaun. Bani Israel saw Firaun drowning with their own eyes, and they easily crossed the same sea where Firaun had drowned. After crossing the sea, they were in an open desert and they had to return to their city. When they reached the gates of the city, they realized that there were some people inside who were ready to fight. Bani Israel were told to fight them and take back their city from them, but they refused.

Now look, there was a difficult situation in their way, and they were told to face this difficulty, fight it, and assert their rights against it. Because we all know that when a person walks in the path of Allah, he is surely tested. And this was their test. Allah will not create a way in the river everytime. Sometimes Allah creates such ease for us that we get a green traffic signal at every turn, but it doesn't happen every time. There are times when we have to work hard, make efforts, and struggle to move forward.

First, a path was made in the river for those people. But now they were told to fight. And what did they say? They said, "No! We will not fight, we are too scared, we will not even try." Then that city was forbidden for them. They were forbidden for forty years. For forty years, those people wandered in the desert without a home.

During this time, Prophet Musa AS also passed away. It is said that there were two people among Bani Israel who said to everyone, "Come, let's go fight for the sake of Allah. Let's at least try. If Allah wills, we will win and we will get our home back."

One of these two people was Yousha bin Nun, who was a student and servant of Prophet Musa AS. He told everyone to go and fight. Then he prepared the people and led them in the battle, and under his leadership, they fought and conquered the land that was promised to them by God."

In forty years, the entire generation had changed. Weak people had transformed into strong ones, and they had reclaimed their city. Allah had also bestowed success upon them.

So, from this, we learn that when Allah puts us in a difficult situation, He also sends us the strength to face those challenges. We should not say that we don't have the courage to deal with the difficulties. Yes, it may be tough, but if Allah wills, He can make it easy for us. We should make an effort, move forward, and not just sit and wait for a solution to appear on its own. Move forward with courage and determination, trust in Allah and do your part, the rest Allah will take care of.

This is called 'tawakkul' or reliance on Allah. If we are sincere, Allah will bless our efforts. Because if we don't make an effort, what will happen? Look at the example of Bani Israel who wandered in the desert for forty years because they didn't make an effort to attain what was rightfully theirs. It's not a trivial matter. They lost something precious that could have been theirs if they had shown courage. So, whenever you get an opportunity, take action, otherwise, the time will come when you will want to do something, but you won't be able to."

Everyone Who Memorises (the Quran) In The First Two Years Loses Some Of What He Memorised. This Is Called

Everyone who memorises (the Qur’an) in the first two years loses some of what he memorised. This is called the “Marhalatut- Tajmee`”, roughly translated as the “Gathering Stage”. So do not worry about the Qur’an leaving you or making many mistakes. This is a difficult stage of affliction which shaytaan has a portion of to make you stop memorising al-Qur’an. So do not pay attention to his whispers and continue memorising it, for it is a treasure that is not given to just anyone.

Listen up, if you're in pain. Or any situation that makes you feel stuck and you find yourself making Dua for relief desperately...this is for you.

I know, it hurts like hell, you cannot even form words sometimes and all you want is one moment of peace and contentment to enter your heart on what has happened with you. You're making sincere Dua too, I know...but the aching doesn't seem to stop, so you're wondering if your Dua is not sincere enough, what is it that's blocking your way of peace. So remember this, when you ask Allah for contentment in your heart, for healing, don't just sit there and wait for stars to fall in your lap. Allah has repeatedly Told in the Quran, that hearts find rest and peace in the Dhikr of Allah. Yes, you talk to Him, but the biggest physical form of His Dhikr is over there, lying in your shelf. The Quran. His Speech. Glory be to Him. Get up, and open your Mushaf, try reciting with all your heart, go look for the meaning of what you recited, then read it's Tafseer. And then thank Him because He alllowed you to learn something from His Book. Seek His forgiveness for your heedless behaviour towards His Book. Keep doing this as you ask Him to heal you, because in the Quran there is AshShifaa. Cure. The remedy to your bleeding heart, it's there in the Quran. So, seek it.

If you're asking for Eimaan, Taqwa or Tawakkul...do what pleases Him. Leave off desires for His sake. He will grant barakah in your goodness. Don't just ask Him, also show some efforts. Show Him you're trying.

This dunya is a test, you cannot sit in the test and think about answers in the mind...you'll have to lift up the pen and write them down. Mere asking to Allah and not working your part is like waiting for crops without sowing seeds, tending to plants and harvesting. Always remember, the world works by Allah's command, and Allah loves those who are people of cause and action. A Believer doesn't sit idle, he/she gives their 100% at whatever is in their might. In Sha Allah.

So, remember. Dua. Work. And Wait. With Sabr. :)

“You have been given that which suffices you but you desire that which will ruin you. You’re not content with a little nor are you quenched with a lot. How can a person ever work for the Hereafter when he can’t sever his desires from the Dunya (world)? The strangest of affairs is that of a person who believes firmly in the Home of Truth (Paradise) but yet strives only for the Home of Delusion (Dunya).”

Many Have Turned Seeking Knowledge Into An Aesthetic And To Be Honest It Shows That They Havent Really

Many have turned seeking knowledge into an aesthetic and to be honest it shows that they haven’t really studied properly.

Seeking knowledge isn’t coffee and books and cats. Seeking knowledge is sitting for hours listening to a dars, then going home and revising everything else you’ve done and then it’s memorisation and then revising that every single day.

It’s a whole lifestyle, not for the faint hearted.

Not to mention the etiquettes that come with it. The people of knowledge are not the same as everyone else. they don’t behave the same as us, they don’t do anything makruh and they even stay away from some things that are permissible all to maintain their muru’ah

It's not a fairytale journey where everything is there for you nice and easy.

It is HARD and nothing worth having will be given to you easily.

Ibn Masud Reported:

Ibn Mas’ud reported:

While I was sitting and the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, was resting beside me, I beheld men around him in white garments. Allah knows best how handsome they were!

They stopped near me and a group sat by the head of the Prophet ﷺ, while another sat by his feet. They said among themselves, “We have never seen a servant given the likes of this prophet! His eyes sleep while his heart remains awake.

Strike for him a parable of a master who built a palace, then placed a feast within and invited the people to eat and drink. Whoever answered him ate from his food and drank from his drinks, but whoever did not answer him was punished!”

Then, they departed and the Messenger of Allah was awakened by that. The Prophet ﷺ said, “I heard what they were saying. Do you know who they were?” I said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “They were angels. The parable they struck is that of the Most Merciful, Blessed and Exalted, who built Paradise and invites His servants to it. Whoever does not accept Him will be punished or tormented.”
