The ocean was full of mysteries and secrets that no one has, nor should ever be discovered… the big body of water that was so beautiful yet so terrifying.
You, a regular Victorian girl who enjoyed reading novels under the big tree which sat next to a normal river, finding joy in being able to put yourself into the characters that you read in the book. Feeling as if you were the main character, growing a connection with those around you.
“Y/n, you tend to isolate yourself too much dear… wouldn't you like to spend more time with us? Your family?” Your mother found herself asking, looking directly at you as if she expected you to answer enthusiastically.
Truthfully, no. You were fine being alone and it was when you felt at your best. Being alone in the comfort of your books and imagination.
“If I'm being honest, mother, I do not think that being alone is a burden, as I quite enjoy the silence of going into the forest alone.”
Your mother and sister stared at you, unknowing of what to respond with. You hated the look of pity that they showed towards you, as if enjoying the company of one's self was something that should be looked down upon. The opinion of those older could never be the same as someone younger. The mind was simply at different levels of development, causing disagreements between the two quite regularly.
Looking around at the family who sat around the table, picking yourself up from the chair and grabbing your book from your lap to prevent it from falling.
“I believe I have some important manners to take care of…” you completed, beginning to make your way out of the dining room.
“Y/n, before you go you must be aware of something.” Your dad spoke, catching your attention and causing you to turn around to face him.
“What's wrong?” You responded, somewhat intrigued.
“Because me and your mother have been speaking about a better career opportunity for our company. I wanted to make you aware that next month we'll be moving over to a different town. Not far at most.”
You despised moving… however this time, it would be near an ocean. Meaning you would be capable of observing the same water that your current book, ‘A Hidden Atlantis’ was referencing. The same town and ocean that had been where the novel had taken place.
A Hidden Atlantis was a one of a kind book, you'd truthfully never read anything like it before. The topic of humanoid creatures whose legs resembled that of a fish was always interesting to you.
Something like that could never exist in the real world… could it?
It would only ever be real in paintings, books and imagination. It's place was not the real ocean that was full of mysterious creatures.
However… in the low chance possibility that something like a half human half fish existed. It'd be so beautiful yet terrifying. The same way its habitat was.
Your obsession with these types of mythical chapter books started when you found a ring on the floor of your new (now old) house. You were young, so the red ruby that sat brightly inside the ring wasn't something that appeared valuable to you, it was only ever stunning.
You kept it, never sold it for money… even though it would probably be worth a fortune. You always felt some sort of odd connection to it, causing you to never be capable of selling it. It was too special for you, despite the mystery that could've been a curse that attracted you to it and it's red gem
___
They told you to stay inside, but you found a way out nevertheless. They were silly if they didn't know you well enough to see it coming.
This was the very ocean right outside of your new home. The very ocean that the book described, it was right in front of you along with the same town and streets that the book’s main character walked on before in the history of the novel.
Sirens didn't exist, but maybe you could catch a glimpse of something that slightly resembled that of the mythical creature throughout your stay. It would make sense wouldn't it? Possibly if you were a believer.. but unfortunately you weren't.
Even so, you still enthusiastically made your way to the sandy beach located right under the cliff which your house sat over, finding a comfortable rock to sit on as you opened your book and lit up a candle
The young girl, Sharon left everything behind. From her friends and belongings to her town, all due to financial struggles between her parents. However the kind girl looked at things in another light, becoming understanding of her parents' situation and avoiding internal conflicts between herself and her family.
She took out the box which carried the old jewel inside. Seeing the gem glow bright red, reflecting off the same color as that of her eyes. Staring into the piece made her confident in the color of red, it was a beautiful color that many people associated with the wrong things. It was a treasure, and it made her feel the same connection and reassurance that she had felt since the start… since the first ever day she laid eyes on the ring.
She slipped the ring onto her hand, feeling the jewel slide off of her small fingers. However, she kept it on as she made her way to the dark waters that almost felt as if they awaited her.
She walked the path down the forest, catching a glimpse of the bright moon illuminating the cold ocean. It looked beautiful, almost magical as she walked near. Sitting on a rock and brushing her feet against the water, feeling as if it had been bringing her skin smoothness and youth.
“Beautiful night,” The young girl found herself whispering, as she looked far up into the distance to see the figure of a sunken ship, located right behind a chapped rock.
It’s boards and wood sinking down and dissolving into the water as it overflowed.
The news of the sinking ship was everywhere:
“Ship sank under unidentified circumstances.”
“Ship mysteriously begins sinking in the middle of the sea.”
“An unidentified ship reappears on the shores of...”
It was all over the newspapers, disaster would always be destined to happen.
The light of the fire which illuminated the candle flicker off, the strong winds didn't allow it to keep the fire. It was time to head back home and continue reading inside your room, where the wind couldn't get to you despite your delicate windows. It seemed as if a storm was approaching.
You smiled looking up and at the direct spot that the book described, not spotting a single sunken ship. Even if it was there at one point in history, the likelihood that it was actually the fault of a group of sirens and their enchanting voices and illusions was little to none.
As much as you wanted to believe, you knew something like that could only stay in your imagination. The same way dragons and vampires did. They could never exist in the real world, it would just be too dangerous.
Picking yourself up from the rock, you carefully climbed your way down and allowed the light from your barely lit candle to lead you back.
This ocean was close enough to your house that you were able to see the lights turned on in specific rooms. Best get going now if you hoped to not get caught sneaking out like you were strictly told not to.
Walking on the light sand before feeling your shoe step on something hard…
A rock maybe?
You tilted your head to look below you, bending your knees to get a better look at the object.
It was a ring… a blue diamond ring, washed away on the shore of the ocean. It must've been left behind by some tourist or someone who happened to be traveling the water’s. And really you didn't care to find out, as it was left behind and far too valuable to ignore.
You'd simply treasure it. The same way you did with the red ruby ring that you found in your old house when moving in.
“Y/n!” A young boy called out, running over to hug you tightly, almost as if you hadn't seen each other in a long time.
Turning around, you came face to face with a pretty young boy, beautiful cat shaped eyes that glowed as brightly as the day.
“Jungwon? What are you doing here..!?”
He smiled brightly and picked out a bright yellow dandelion from the grass, gently shoving your hair behind your ear and placing it right in between.
“I came to say hello to a friend,” He responded enthusiastically.
You shook your head and looked up, happier than ever.
“I understand but shouldn't you be with a doctor!?” You questioned to which he responded with a giggle and smirked at you.
“They told me that I should be outside a lot and have fun! So I'm following their instructions!”
Face palming yourself, you looked back up softly and picked up a bright yellow dandelion, mimicking his acts and placing it on his hair right above his ear.
He kept his gaze fixed on you, that was until you picked yourself up from the ground and began running around in the small garden right in front of a noble looking home.
Being a kid himself, he followed and chased you across the garden.
You looked happy… excited… like children…
Finally, your brain snapped back to reality.
“What the hell was that…?” You muttered to yourself, being unable to comprehend the vision that gave you more than just deja vu.
You looked into the dark and gloomy ocean, spotting a figure of a young man looking in your direction. His bright brown eyes which seemed to illuminate more than the moon pierced straight through your soul in an almost terrifying manner.
Shaking your head and rubbing your eyes… you convinced yourself to be seeing things.
You looked back in a panic and there was nothing… no figure… no eyes… simply nothing..
“Of course… I must be lacking sleep…” you managed to stutter, snapping back up to your senses and running back home. After all, not getting caught was your main priority right now.
***
And so the kind girl Sharon ran back home, stumbling upon an object which appeared to be a gem, closely resembling that of her own. The young girl picked up the ring and placed it in her pocket, she couldn't just leave it behind. She'd collect it.
Upon looking into the distance, she found herself staring directly into the eyes of a creature in the ocean.
Her kind heart forced her to yell, “Are you alright dear sailor, do you need assistance?”
However, she received no response…
Chills ran down her spine as he stared at her intensely, not even blinking once throughout the entire process… Sharon, upon feeling uneasy decided to run and make someone aware along the way of a possible sailor that could've been in danger.
Little did she know that she had stared into the eyes of that of the most dangerous…
All because she touched what was his… and you should never touch anything that belongs to a siren…
____
“Jungwon. For dear god’s sake, why are we doing this?”
Jungwon turned around once again and sighed, “For the 100th thousand millionth time, it's because that young lady took my ring. So I'm returning for it.”
“Indeed but this is a bother. Someone's going to find out one way or another and we'll be dead… Why can't we return to the shore and find you another identical ring? There's plenty in the ocean-”
He froze mid sentence upon seeing the eyes of his little brother staring at him. Despite being older, Jungwon intimidated him and he couldn't deny it. Jungwon’s strong point was his eyes and he fully took advantage of that.
“Jake- if you would like to return you can always do so… I didn't need you to come either way-” Jungwon managed to mutter softly.
Jake frowned, “I'll stay with you. I don't want you out here in the human world alone with absolutely no one supervising you.”
Jungwon smiled and nodded, “Alright then, let's make this fast.”
Jake followed his little brother. He had always doubted the connection that Jungwon claimed to have with his ring up until now; more like up until a year ago. Whereas Jungwon dropped his ring while traveling in the oceans at night and was somehow able to find it immediately after he noticed. Retracing his steps and locating the small object in the depths of the massive ocean. Jake was sure that he had a tracker on that thing because that would've been otherwise impossible.
And right now was no exception, in fact it was only convincing Jake furthermore that there must've been a hidden tracker somewhere within the tiny corners of that small ring.
Jake’s frown only turned into an annoyed stare as he watched Jungwon get ahead of himself, leading them to who the heck knew where. “Do you even know what she looked like?”
Jungwon shook his head, still keeping his gaze forward, “Absolutely not.”
Jake sighed, “Why did I expect that… with that keen eyesight of yours I really would've expected you to at least see her hair color.”
“It was dark hyung-” Jungwon completed, noticing Jake nod in agreement.
“I know but for some reason you can spot everything about a person at night except for the thief of your ring… and what if she sold it already?”
Jungwon sighed and shook his head, “I’d rather not think about it but in that case scenario then we'd have to purchase it again-”
Jake stared at Jungwon, “You can't be serious.”
Jungwon turned around, “Should I rephrase that? I'd rather say- I'd have to purchase it again.”
“There's dozens of trade shops on land- how are you gonna locate the exact one!?” Jake asked, almost yelling to which Jungwon backed away nervously and blinked a couple of times before answering.
“I'll find it, don't worry.”
Jake was upset but he wanted to support his brother. That ring was special to Jungwon ever since infancy and he didn't want to say anything rude or careless, let alone both.
“By the way, lower your voice because other people are going to hear you and will suspect us. You're going to throw us both under the bus with your yelling-”
Jake bowed to his little brother and apologized repeatedly, “I'm sorry, it's a little complicated to contain my emotions to a certain volume.”
Jungwon shook his head in denial. “It’d be quite alright if you hadn’t told me earlier that being on land was far too risky. I know just as much as you do so you have to keep in mind that one wrong move could land in us having our heads chopped off,” he expressed, to which Jake simply put his palm up to his forehead.
“Don’t even mention it.”
Suddenly, Jake crashed into a woman who had been walking the same streets they had been, maybe around her early 20’s. Despite the cloak that had been covering her face she looked quite beautiful. Long hair neatly put up in a ponytail and perfectly arranged across her shoulder.
“Oh, I beg your pardon as I was distracted-” Jake stuttered out nervously, noticing her turn around and bow in apology.
Jungwon’s gaze swiftly shifted onto her eyes, his alert up high.
“I apologize- I was a little careless myself.” You chuckled. Jake froze in silence, ultimately overcome by the beauty that he never knew could belong to a human.
Jungwon smiled, “I excuse my older brother- nevertheless what is such a beautiful young woman doing around here alone? Not to mention you yourself look quite of noble status. Is there a reason behind this?”
Suddenly becoming nervous, you began fidgeting with your fingers. “Haha- was it obvious that i’m a noble?” you muttered, to which Jungwon nodded.
“Your clothes and form of speech give it away.”
You laughed ever so slightly and nodded. “You see, I’m actually new to this area and happened to grow curious about exploring the town as the views are spectacular.”
Jungwon looked over to where you turned; the ocean that he himself had belonged to. The cold ocean that had belonged to him and many others who were just like him.
“I see that you are drawn by the landscape?” Jungwon turned over to you, seeing you nod in approval.
“Correct. I don’t come from a very green place like this one, so this feels almost like a wonderland… like those types of forest or villages that you read in fairytales.”
Bingo.
That was all he needed to know… this was her… the girl who had visited the ocean the other day late at night… the thief of his ring that was so very beloved to him.
“I happen to notice that you have a specific love for reading?” Jungwon questioned, noticing your eyes light up as you looked back up at him.
“You seem to be very good at guessing- yes, I very much do love reading books and novels.” you blinked, a little taken aback by how well this stranger seemed to know you.
“I’m glad. I happen to enjoy reading myself.”
You felt some type of odd aura about him.. You were unsure if it was just you overthinking or if this was actually something that you should’ve been concerned about. From the moment he spoke you felt nothing but comfort, you felt safe. Which wasn’t something an ordinary human could’ve made you feel,
~~~
Walking up to a fruit stand, the lady in front smiled at you.
“I’ve never seen you around before, are you new around here?” she asked, making you nod in agreement.
“You’d be correct, I’m not from here, I hope that is alright,” you responded, seeing her nod repeatedly in reassurance to your doubts.
You looked back at the ocean that you felt attracted to for some odd reason. It wasn’t clear to you whether you only felt that way because of your book or because there was actually something magical about it… not to mention the eyes… those eyes that glowed brighter than the moonlight..
“I happen to notice that you really like our water’s?” She smiled, to which you flinched as you didn’t notice her staring.
“I do… may I ask why no families are down there constantly?” you questioned, noticing her give you a confused glance making you panic in case you asked the wrong question. “I’m a little confused because normally there would be a couple of swimmers, no?” you added, your nerves making you unable to say the sentence correctly.
Luckily, she understood you and waved her hand in dismissal.
“Oh dear, it’s prohibited to swim in any waters around here.”
You stayed silent, confused yet amused. “May I ask why…?”
She turned back to look at you, “Oh dear, haven’t you heard? It became banned around the late 1850’s due to the amount of siren spotting there had been. Not to mention the amount of ships that went missing in such a short period of time around this area recently. I feel so poorly for all the families of those navigators..”
Thoughts began circulating in your mind. That wasn’t possible… After all siren’s weren’t real.. They have never been real. They were mythical creatures.
“By the way dear, be very careful with who you trust on this land. Siren’s are very alluring creatures who roam around this town just as freely as regular citizens. Don’t get confident just because we're not in the sea.”
“Wait- siren’s can shapeshift and blend into humanity too?” You exclaimed, almost yelling in surprise before you caught yourself and covered your mouth, lowering your voice to a lower volume.
The woman chuckled, “Why, of course they can.”
“How can I spot a siren…? Among all these humans…?”
She looked around and signaled you to come closer, you followed her orders and leaned in.
“Siren’s will always have attractive and manipulating eyes… never forget that as it may save your life one day.”
~~~
His eyes were gorgeous… almost hypnotizing to look at, you've never seen eyes so gorgeous like his, they seemed almost unreal.
Face to face with a pretty young man, beautiful cat shaped eyes that glowed as brightly as the day.
Face perfect and screaming off the sense of innocence. Almost making you think that this was in fact the reincarnation of the word itself. Which in itself was odd enough,
But you couldn't judge a book by it's cover. After all you weren't even a believer- just a little frightened by something a woman had said earlier. You needed proof of sirens before you actually believed in them, even though there was no way of explaining what you had happened to see down in the shore the other night.
However, his eyes were that of something supernatural and you felt it.
___
You found yourself walking late at night alone in the streets of the town; surrounded by people and their terrified whispers.
“What time did you say sirens come out again?”
“I think I may have just run into a siren- it's eyes look surreal-”
Sirens, surreal looking eyes. Put together it made sense.
Something not human could never fully shapeshift or become a human. There will always be something that gives it away.
However, this was going too far.
“Hey, we meet again.” A voice from behind you called, snatching the magazine from your grip and rolling it up in between his hands.
“Oh- good afternoon..?”
“It would be good night as of right now.” He smiled. You'd be lying if you said you didn't get flustered the moment he did so, seeing him smile with such a handsome face. There was no way you couldn't react.
Smiling back, a bit of pink flushing over your cheeks. “Yes, I apologize. I happened to be making my way back home right now; I hope you can excuse me.”
His face became a small smirk, almost teasing as he looked back at you. “From what I can see, you don't happen to be accompanied by anyone?” He asked, despite your guard going up high, there was no use in lying, you had run into this same man earlier and you had been alone, so you simply nodded.
“Would you like me to come with? Better not get tricked by any sirens.”
You felt your cheeks warm up again, flustered by this man and his alluring personality.
“What did you say your name was again?” You asked, realizing you had never gotten his name in the first place. Unconsciously beginning to walk, making your way back home.
This almost felt familiar….
Sharon walked her way back home with the claimed stranger which she had seen earlier that day.
Questions arose from the young girl's mouth, not anything wrong, at least not to the ears of something so magical and mythical like a siren.
“What was your name again?” Sharon asked in a low pitched muffle.
“I couldn't catch that.” His eyes glew in the dark as his mouth spoke. Something about this man was so alluring and she couldn't catch a grip of what it might've been.
Maybe his attractiveness? His eyes? Seductive and teasing nature perhaps? Everything about him seemed surreal, the way his words were able to manipulate her to make decisions that she wouldn't have made otherwise. It almost seemed effortless.
Sharon smiled nervously, “Your name. I didn't manage to catch it.”
He grinned, “Edward.”
One of the rules about a siren, they only ever said their first names in an introduction, never their last. They didn't have a last name to give, at least not now.
Sharon looked back at the man who walked behind her, his eyes locking on hers as she kept the eye contact for a hot moment. It wasn't willingly, because something about his eyes felt as if there was some type of rope connecting and bonding their souls, as she was unable to look away.
“You have beautiful eyes Edward.” She smiled, noticing him nod knowingly.
“I've been told before, young Sharon.”
It felt odd, they were both young, around each other's age perhaps. It was likely a form of speech however it was still off putting. Sharon could never get used to being called young by someone who looked so young themselves.
“Alright then; Edward, how old are you.”
It was a forbidden question and she knew it. Sirens didn't have an age, at least not that they were aware of. Normally becoming unable to answer the question properly, ending up in them executing their plans earlier than expected, causing a scene that would be far too messy to clean up afterwards.
“Not sure. I was abandoned at a young age and have no idea of when something so basic like my birthday is.” He responded, voice lowering as he turned to his side.
Good answer, Sharon thought. Looking back at the young man and smiling.
“You look fairly young. Edward.”
He was taken aback, he normally disliked the mention of just his first name because of how disrespectful it sounded, and this… this had been the third time she directed him by his first name solely.
He looked at her sharply, “If you could, I'd really appreciate a title in the beginning like Mr before my name.”
The young girl turned around enthusiastically, still skipping towards the direction of her house rapidly as she laughed softly. Her face giving off nothing but innocence.
“But why? Edward is a pretty name. A last name like … would suit you impeccably!” She exclaimed.
“Jungwon.” He answered.
Walking up the pathway which sat on the hill that led up to your house, grass awaiting you at the top.
“Well then, Jungwon do you believe in sirens?” You asked, almost testing him for an unknown reason that not even you knew.
It seemed like he had caught onto this, as he half sighed, half chuckled. “You really can't believe nor not believe in something you haven't seen before. There will always be those who claim to have seen other worldly creatures, you can't believe them, but you can't proclaim them as liars either.” He smiled.
Good answer, you thought.
“Say, Jungwon, how old are you?” You grinned, noticing him do the same.
It's a test, he thought to himself, unable to think of the correct answer if there even was one. As a siren one of their biggest pet pieves was lying. He couldn't even make up something to protect himself unless if he wanted to be looked down on.
“Not sure, I don't even know something so simple like my birthday.” He frowned. You looked back, sincere nostalgia hitting you the moment those words came out from his mouth, however you were unable to pinpoint why or where it was coming from.
“I see,” you added, turning around and looking at him directly.
Unable to hold back, you looked back at him and sighed.
“Do you believe sirens are as evil as humans depict them to be?” You found yourself asking, continuing to walk forward even if the answer he'd give held you anxious.
He grinned and kept his gaze on you, despite not looking at him you could feel his eyes pierced through your skin.
“I think it's similar to humans. There's bad people out there and there's good. I don't see why something so similar should be any different. Sirens are technically human, that's why they don't have too much trouble blending into humanity, they can pull it off rather easily in a matter of fact.”
Your shoulders fell in relief, not even noticing the way they had been so tense.
“I'm glad to hear that,” You smiled, “It’s better to not take guesses about creatures we have never seen or met before.”
He nodded.
“She's different.”
“Well, Jungwon, it looks like we've arrived.”
He nodded and peaked his attention to the house he found himself at.
He had forgotten completely, he was here for a reason and he was going to leave with that one reason fulfilled. He didn't need any doubts.
“It has been an honor my lady.” He leaned down, asking for your hand.
You gave it to him, and he landed a singular kiss on the tip. It was a regular gentleman act at the time, however your cheeks could help but rose and warm up, it was a little shameful to have fallen head over heels for a stranger.
“Yang Jungwon?”
Snapping, he immediately looked up at you.
Yang Jungwon, Yang Jungwon, Yang Jungwon
That name rang in his ear like a bell, repeatedly. What was this? Why did it sound so familiar to him?
“I'll hope to see you another day.” You smiled.
He simply smiled back and waved, nodding in response regarding your statement that had been said a little unexpectedly.
Tears rolled down your cheeks, as you looked at the bed with the pale kid who was at once a healthy boy... your friend.
“I would like to give you this.” He handed the hand which had been clenched shut, holding onto the piece tightly. “I unfortunately don't have much time left, however I would like to give you this. That way if we ever reincarnate again, I'll find you.”
You couldn't contain your emotions, the tears streamed down your face and a wave of emotions hit you.
You entered your home, closing the door behind you while holding your fingers and making your way upstairs to your room. You wanted to take a cold shower before heading off to bed.
Slipping off the coat and relocating it onto a chair that sat in front of your desk. Looking down at your fingers and noticing the bright blue ring missing. Only being left with your original red ruby ring.
You looked everywhere in a panic. Had you dropped it on your way back? It would've been possible as it slipped off of your tiny fingers constantly. It was far too oversized for you.
Suddenly the memory overcame you. He kissed your wrist, in contact with your hand and fingers directly.
Looking out the window, seeing the moon glowing bright blue with a tint of red on a few corners of it. The water in the ocean splashed as if something or someone had just went back in. Enough time has passed, the ring was his priority
Yang Jungwon, who are you?
It was about time, Sharon thought.
There was always going to be different habitats for every living organism. Humans would locate on land, you'd find them there if you ever found yourself searching. Maraine animals would be found in the water, and wild animals would be in the depths of the trees.
Just like marine animals don't belong on land, humans don't belong in the water. The same was wild animals wouldn't belong in the ocean, they wouldn't survive.
It was the same way that the world worked, it was cycle.
Sharon wrote furiously onto the sheets of paper, many stacked up on the side and many scattered on the floor, it was unavoidable to anyone who experienced the same that she had.
The main message the young girl left for anyone and everyone who dared to pick up and look at the contents of this novel which started out as a diary.
History repeats itself. Never doubt it.

“Okay, Y/n you're up next.” A voice said behind you.
It was Jungwon, your leader and main dancer who had debuted in the same group as you.
Before participating in I-Land you had been recruited by the company staff and became a trainee under HYBE Labels. You hadn't been there long before participating in the survival show, and you ended up ranking fairly high, ending at the final rank of 2nd place.
Being a fan favorite and one of the idols with the most fangirls barely mattered to you. You only enjoyed the company of your members and became fond of making music. Particularly enjoying the act of dancing and performing alongside the members of Enhypen.
Today’s schedule was a photoshoot for an upcoming magazine that was particularly aimed towards young adults. But for sure anyone who happened to be a fan of the group and stumbled upon it would for sure purchase it. That was without a doubt.
You came up to the front, the black clothes complimenting the color of your hair.
Niki walked up to you, one of the members you were particularly close with.
“I bet you requested that attire didn't you?” He said teasingly, to which you simply nodded, looking over to the man who would be assisting you in helping your shoot go smoothly.
“It would only make sense wouldn't it?” You smirked, knowing he'd react indifferently to that.
“Right, right. Either way dark colors look good on you. So I'd say your fashion suits you, it's unique after all.” He smiled, catching you to mutter a small ‘thank you’ in response. Not a lot of people complimented you, so you genuinely liked it when someone paid attention to that aspect of yours
“Y/n!!” a loud voice yelled from behind, practically jumping over your shoulders and hugging you from behind.
Oh of course you would know who this was-
“Jake Hyung-! Y/n is about to have his photoshoot, you're going to mess up his hair!” Sunoo yelled from the other room, most definitely having his hair done due to the sound of the hair dryer running.
You turned around and looked at Jake, or in other words: your boyfriend. A bit confused on what he needed you fully turned your body to face him and scratched the side of your cheek.
It hadn't been long since you two had started dating so you were still a bit nervous around him.
“I'm assuming there's something you must have to tell me…?” You muttered in a low voice, chuckling slightly at the sight of your boyfriend smiling brightly at you.
“I wanna take you out for dinner later, it doesn't have to be anything too expensive but we should go shopping for new clothes after this shoot.” He beamed, making you flustered a bit before hearing your name be called from behind.
“Okay, I'll make sure to keep it in mind.” You smiled back, seeing him wave at you before making an encouraging fist.
Sunghoon came out of his room, drying his hair due to the water usage in his pictures and going to sit down with the others at the table, “Finally Y/n’s turn?”
“Yeah, he's handsome.” Heeseung said, leaning his cheek against his fist as he sighed. Ever since I-Land took place Heeseung had always admired you, which was a huge honor. Not only were you in his words ‘one of the most handsome men he'd ever seen,’ but you were also talented. Especially having only had limited time as a trainee in the company, you were a recent yet a threat to most of the others training at the company
Jay stared at you blankly before shaking his head and snapping himself back into reality, “I feel like I get hypnotized every time I look at him. His color scheme is just so unique and creative that you just can't help but space out if you look at him a second too long.”
“Right? He's so pretty.” Sunoo added, crossing his arms and rocking his chair back and forth.
Heeseung turned over to face Jake and teasingly nudged him on the arm, “Tell us your secrets. How do you attract such beautiful men?” He said, winking the moment Jake turned to look at him.
“Pure luck I guess.”
_____
Jake ran through the aisles, picking out every piece of clothing that he thought would look good on you, black or not.
He was particularly insisting on a plain white T-shirt, which he claimed, 'would look good on you.' However, since it wasn't your regular go to, you found yourself rejecting the actual process of trying it on. Let alone buying it.
“Y/n, it won't hurt to put on a white shirt. White compliments black am I right?” He smiled, making you look up at him and cross your arms in a form of an ‘x’
He frowned, looking over and spotting a black leather jacket which would combine with the shirt he had picked out.
“How about you pair it with this?” He said half enthusiastically, half defeated.
Being your boyfriend, he wanted to see you wear more variety of colors, especially those he thought you'd look good with. There had only been two occasions when you wore a color beside black, and that was only because it was a track where the outfits wouldn't match if one was of a darker scheme.
You always requested a full on dark outfit, you liked it that way and of course most stylists tried to respect that desire of yours. After all it was your form of representation, anything dark was considered a trend created by you and your unique sense of fashion.
White was one of the colors he so very badly wanted to see on you. Not only that but he also wished to see you wear the traditional blue jeans, any time you bought a pair they'd be black or gray, that was that and they'd be no-one changing your mind.
But of course, Jake being Jake thought that it was worth a shot.
“Look, I appreciate the consideration but I don't think I want to-”
Jake sighed lightly, not letting you finish your sentence before he silently turned around and walked back to the clothing section
You looked at him, sighing in relief that you finally managed to convince him and he'd be leaving to put the clothes away-
“What if we paired it with these pants?” He yelled enthusiastically.
“What!?”
In the end, you ended up putting on the outfit he picked out for you. You didn't particularly dislike it, however it just felt unusual.
“I don't really know if I like this..” you muttered as he fixed up a couple sides and smiled back at you.
“For me you look great. I'd appreciate it if you wore this to dinner tonight.”
“I don't think I'll be confident if I wore this.” You muttered, looking down at the jacket and pants.
“It's not a bad outfit, but it's just not for me.”
He frowned, looking up at you as he took the basket from his arm and handed it over to you.
“Check over these as well.”
This time, the basket was full of dark clothes, mostly containing hoodies and slightly oversized jeans that could be easily adjusted with a belt, preferably your favorite types of clothing.
You tried them on and there was no need to say that you definitely prefered the new chosen clothes better; however, Jake insisted on buying the previous outfit for you and you just couldn't bring yourself to convince him otherwise.
Back at home, organizing your newly bought clothes and putting them in their designated areas. You turned back to look at the brighter outfit which would look out of place in your normal everyday closet, you couldn't bring yourself to put it on whenever you had been getting ready for your casual dinner date with your boyfriend.
You really wanted to sacrifice all your regular clothing for this new outfit which you would most likely only ever wear once, however…
“Why aren't you wearing the outfit I got you!!??” Jake yelled, immediately catching you off guard as you just stared blankly at your lover.
“I unfortunately couldn't bring myself to put it on, however I did put on a pair of the new hoodie and pants you got me.”
Jake stared at you, he was unable to comprehend what he was seeing. You smiled knowingly as he just stared, sighing and shaking his head in his palms.
“Alright then, if that's what makes you comfortable.” he said, approaching you slowly and leaning in to give you a kiss on the cheek.
“Thank you for understanding.” You smiled, seeing him nod gently as he caressed your shoulders. “I can't force you at the end of the day. You're still my handsome boyfriend no matter what you decide to wear.” He teased, making you chuckle lightly.
“Let's go inside now- I'm hungry.”

Planning, drawing, writing, new page, repeat. Unfortunately, those 6 words were all you needed to say in order to describe your regular schedule. Everyday was the same. Sometimes asking if you would ever have a break, or ever be successful enough in order to have your manga have its own anime adaptation, it'd be a huge step forward and might end up bringing in enough money so you didn't have to constantly work on a new series.
Unfortunately, despite the numerous amount of animes that existed; the chance of getting contacted by a producer was rare. And even though your two series were pretty big among readers, the day you'd receive a call or even just an email would likely never come.
You wrote away, brainstorming new ideas in this competitive industry. Your newest manga, had recently come to an end, ending at the manga number of 34. You had to admit, you were pretty happy with how it was written, especially since recently you seemed pretty dry and void of motivation.
The public seemed to agree, approving of the manga and giving you the thumbs up to reassure you that it was indeed a well written series. The pressure was a bit much, after finally finishing an almost 6 year series you were already seeing posts online titled:
“Can't wait for L/n Y/n’s next manga!”
“If he releases a new manga then damn right I'm buying it.”
Seeing those posts made you feel bad, causing you to pick up a pen and notebook and start brainstorming.
“You're going to write another one? That'll be 3 series!”
Hand up to your forehead, sighing at your own ideas as you crumbled the piece of paper and threw it away. “Well that's the plan but with how terrible I am at coming up with ideas I'm unsure if there will even be a 3rd series.”
He looked at you and leaned his back up against your bed frame. You found yourself with some of your friends, both in your house to keep you company and to help you think of a manga plot.
Footsteps approached the room, entering and holding a bag of snacks enough for the 3 of you. “Yeah well, your past 2 series have had a large audience, so if you end up writing a 3rd series chances are there's going to be a good chunk of people rushing to libraries to purchase it. So you should think of something that'll attract attention to those in your fan base along with those who aren't.”
“Thank you for the help Aeri…” you muttered to which she smiled, closing the door behind her and pulling over a chair to sit near the 3 of you.
Soobin and Aeri had been your friends since middle school, they knew you wanted to write manga series later on and supported you the entire way through. The 3 of you were inseparable and had stuck together the entire way through.
Pressing your face up against your arms and covering yourself with it, you tried to restart your mind and clear it, that way it'd be easier to communicate a proper plan for the manga.
“What if you try to make it based on an event that happened in your life..?” Soobin questioned, lightly rubbing his cheek as he leaned over to grab a granola bar from inside the bag.
You turned your face to look over at him, and chuckled.
“What type of event…? My life up until now hasn't been very eventful, so I practically have nothing to write about…”
Aeri looked down at the two of you and put her arm up to her chin, “Think a little outside the box…”
You lifted your head and gently sighed, “I'll think of something. What do you guys say we watch a movie or a drama?”
_____
Getting out of your car and approaching the doorway entering the restaurant and finding yourself a comfortable seat to relax in.
Ordering your food and opening up your phone, scrolling through the latest news and lightly vibing to the music in the background which found itself playing in the restaurant speakers.
“That's the group that has been going viral lately right!?”
You glanced over at the table which the talking came from, spotting two friends with their eyes glued on the TV. You couldn't help but grow curious, looking up at the TV screen and seeing an idol group performing their most recent song on a music show.
You would be lying if you said that you didn't like Korean music, because you truthfully really enjoyed it. However it was the least of your importance at the moment because your full focus was on your phone.
Or at least… it should've been.
Suddenly, a soft, soothing voice touched your ears. Causing you an odd sense of relaxation as you found your own eyes tracing over the screen that was permanently stuck onto the wall.
His face… caught you a bit off guard. He was handsome but you got an odd sense of deja vu looking at him, maybe it was nothing and it was just your mind playing weird tricks on you. But this was not one of those cases because you truthfully did recognize him.
This was Sim Jake, a student that you knew from highschool and actually became quite fond of. Other than the fact that you both ate lunch together sometimes and talked every so often, you wouldn’t really know whether you could consider him a friend. Occasionally the atmosphere was a bit tense between the two of you, maybe that was because you grew feelings for him at one point throughout the school year but never spoke about it to anyone except Aeri, and well, you hinted at it to Soobin and by now you were almost certain that he had caught on.
Sim Jake had moved to Korea around mid school year for unknown reasons. There was rumor that he would become an idol, but nothing was ever confirmed; and well, rumor was rumor so you should never completely believe something.
Seeing him on TV felt almost… surreal. Looking at someone who you had met before and had actually spoken to, someone who you walked the same hallways as. You never thought that you’d experience something like that, you truthfully really did feel very proud of him, for achieving something that seems somewhat impossible.
But seeing your old classmate was not the only thing that came out of going to your local diner that night, because you also found yourself with a new idea.
_____
“Is that manga interesting?” Jungwon leaned over, coming to Jake’s shoulder and resting his head on it.
“Yeah, It’s from my favorite mangaka too, I heard they’re actually working on a new series.”
Jungwon looked up at his member and smiled, watching the pages and lightly reading them as the sheets flipped every 7-15 seconds.
Enhypen had recently finished performing on the stage of a music show. It had been a long night of dancing and singing along with cheering for other groups present. On the cold night, they all found themselves going back to the company on the bus, all members slightly shivering as they covered themselves with blankets.
“What’s the manga about?” Jungwon asked, attempting to keep the conversation going as he actively listened, trying to keep himself awake.
Jake loved to talk about his mangas and this being his favorite series, he of course would become excited the moment someone asked such a question. It was such an easy answer for him, and Jungwon listened to everything he had to say, smiling every so often at the quiet excitement that Jake expressed despite being unable to be loud due to some of the members already being fast asleep.
Jungwon pointed over at the cover, signaling the author’s name as he quietly muttered, “Is this their real name? Or a fake one?”
Jake chuckled ever so slightly, “It’s a pseudonym. Many mangakas use them because many like to keep their identities secret. Actually many fans have no idea what their favorite author looks like due to privacy reasons. The closest we’ll get is by these.”
He skipped to the end of the book, pointing at the little representative character that delivered a message to a reader at the end of every manga. Jungwon chuckled as he shut his eyes, making Jake remain silent as he stared at the manga. Despite being in the dark, Jake illuminated the book with a UV light, the type you would use for the visibility to the ink of an invisible pen.
“Y/n, would you like to eat lunch together?”
“Right now? I’m drawing-”
Jake frowned, looking down at you. Sighing, you gathered your supplies and followed him out of the classroom. Stopping to put away your sketchbook and other art necessities back into your locker, as well as pick up your own lunch bag in the process. You followed him out of the school, finding a bench under a tree where the breeze felt nice and cool.
“Why don’t you eat lunch with someone else?” you questioned, biting into the sandwich that you had brought as a bit of a lazy lunch.
“Because I don’t know you too well. In addition, I find myself intrigued by you. You’re always drawing and I wanted to ask, is there a reason behind it or is it just a hobby?”
You flustered a bit, a lot of people have watched you draw and have complimented you on your skill.
“Y/n you should put up your art in a museum!”
“You should write manga when you feel ready.”
“Work as an animation producer when you get older!”
Not to mention the amount of people who had asked you questions that you were almost tired of hearing. Being an artist came with its downsides but it was always good to have an extra skill which could potentially be a career, and pretty well paid as well,
“Well, I guess for now it’s just a hobby.” you muttered, looking down at the food inside the container. Picking up your chopsticks, beginning to eat once again, picking at the rice softly.
Jake’s gaze stayed on you, he sighed and looked forward, “I guess so, you’re practically an art genius so if you decide to start a career from it I bet it’ll pay off.” he added, mouth becoming a small smile that had been directed at you.
Nodding, you thought for a moment. “I don’t really find myself interested in art in terms of career. I think there’s better things out there… you know?”
Jake agreed, opening the small bag of cookies that he brought and handing you some. “Well, I get what you mean, if you turn a hobby into a career then it’ll start to feel more like an obligation rather than something fun. But I think it’s better in a way. If you’re good at something then it's something to take advantage of.”
Staying silent for a moment, you eventually muttered a small ‘I agree’ before going back to eating, he noticed and beamed ever so slightly.
“Y/n!”
Looking up from the pages that you had been working on, you held the pencil and looked at your lover who had been laying on your bed, staring at you knowingly. He was mainly there to keep you company and it had mainly been you who asked for it. It got lonely sometimes after all.
“What is it?” You asked, taking the opportunity to stretch and lay down on the floor for a quick moment, just to redeem yourself from the stress of continuously drawing.
“You've been working on that darn manga for so long, catch a small break.” He scolded, making you laugh in response as you glanced over to the shelves full of mangas that you had written.
3 series, 72 books total that came with multiple awards. Many action figures that had come from the anime production of your most recent complete series which gained an audience you never expected to receive. It gained attention from multiple celebrities and became one of the most popular anime series internationally.
Not only that but it helped your 2 previous books get much more recognition, which ended up causing your second to become adapted into a video game, which was very well made and had a wide variety of players.
“Well, this might be the last series I write. If not then I might stick to the number 5, that collection is becoming a bit big don't you think?” you asked, still looking over to the shelves that separated each of your series, holding figures, posters, fanarts, and of course, the mangas.
Jake nodded, smiling as he went down and gave you a small kiss on the forehead.
“You're doing great Y/n.” He muttered, making you glance over and kiss him on the lips. It was a feeling you enjoyed, as the feeling of his touch and arms comforted you.
“Thank you. I'll continue trying my best, I promise”
Males, I just want you to know that you guys can also read and enjoy my x fem reader content as well. A lot of my work isn't very gender heavy except for pronouns and possibly form of speech.
Jini 💗
Why did you choose Jini as your name? It's one of the best I've heard and that's why I'm asking, cause it's really cute and aesthetic.
I originally just used it as my @ because of Nmixx Jinni (now Jini). My @ has always been 'Jini' (1 n) from what I remember, afterwards its kinda just became my identity and my pseudonym, so that's kinda the story behind it.
I really happy you like it because it is really adorable 🥺🤧💗🩷

Sugawara
You can't convince me that Suga isn't the type to love showing his partner affection, anytime he sees you, he'll always make sure you know how much you mean to him. He can be more like a mother than a boyfriend; however, he doesn't really care how he shows you his love, it can be by words, or by actions.
Akaashi
He isn't the most touchy guy, yet his words do all the work for him. Hearing this man whisper sweet things into your ear at night, while you both lay in the silence of your bedroom in the comfort of your bed. He can have his clingy moments, but he regularly enjoys letting you know his care by telling you the sweetest things he can think of.
Semi
I don't believe he'd be very affectionate overall, but if you make him flustered he'd be sure to return the favor. He's a jealous guy, not in a distrusting manner; but if he spots or catches onto someone flirting with his s/o, his body will always react before his mind can. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's a softy and you know it.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝
Tooru
Do I even need to provide an explanation? Of course Tooru is the clingy type of boyfriend (jealous too). Anytime he spots you, he'll call you by your personalized nickname, and cutely demand for your attention. And although he may overthink things sometimes; his favorite feeling is the one of you coming up just to reassure him with that voice he loves hearing.
Atsumu
He may sometimes get a little out of hand, due to always speaking his mind out, and well… sometimes he may do it on purpose. He knows fully well that if he does something mischievous it means that you'll have to come and take him away, meaning that it'll be a bonus gift for him. He enjoys any moment you spend together, that's a fact.
ੈ✩‧₊˚ 𝐁𝐨𝐭𝐡
Kageyama
He can have his moments. Normally playing the tough one but later on acting like a baby when you end up cuddling, he'd constantly be switching in between roles, most of the time starting as the one to show his love to you in order to just end up the one curled up in between your arms. You'd make fun of him for that.
Kenma
Being a calm guy, he normally isn't the one to initiate anything of a romantic sort with you. But if he notices odd behavior from you, or feels as if he's not giving you enough attention, he'll be sure to correct whatever behavior he needs to. However, he himself absolutely adores having his hair be brushed and in between your fingers.
To all my new (anyone) followers, please please please read my pinned and note it so I know you read it 💗
Thank you, Jini

Imagine being wrapped in between YangYang’s arms, embraced in his warm touch while he gives you soft kisses on the top of your head. The night sky infilling your room as the dim light of the moonlight enters through the window. And simply the only thing he can bring himself to say is:
“I love you so much and I hope you know it.”
Your breathing becomes more regular, burying your face further into his chest as his soft eyes direct a small gaze at you.
He lightly brushes your hair, licking and giving small pecks to your ears.
Yangyang was your boyfriend, and sometimes it felt too hard to believe.

“My goodness Y/n… are you alright?” concern filled his voice, his gaze not leaving your's as you entered through the glass doors of the coffee shop.
Slightly indifferent, you walked up to the counter and nodded your head. “Just tired.” you muttered, placing your order and deciding to wait by the door as he finished it.
Skeptical, he shook his head. He knew you too well for you to still be ‘playing these games’, but oh well, it was worth a shot, you thought.
“I don't think that's it-”
“I'll be sitting at that table over there. Call me when my order is ready please and thank you.” You were quick to interrupt, smiling back at the friend as he stared at you quite confused.
He had all the right to be concerned for your well being; how couldn't he be when you had walked into his owned coffee shop looking like an absolute train wreck. It was particularly odd for someone like yourself, someone who was always cautious about their appearance, normally being well put together with nice and elegant outfits. You always kept to your image as a business woman, even outside of work.
So for you to walk in with little to no care in your hair, little to no thought into your outfit was less to say, out of character.
He prepared the cup, sealing it with the familiar cap as he placed it in the pickup table.
“L/n Y/n!” He yelled, not all too loud because he knew where you were. In response to your name, you stood up and walked over, picking up your drink and taking a sip on your walk back to the table, feeling comfort at the familiar taste.
You felt comfortable in this setting, it always felt so safe and cozy in the local cafe. The silence of others as there was only occasional chit chat along with the calm and low volumed classical music. It was relaxing to say the least.
“Hey.”
Immediately turning your head and seeing Minho sitting on the chair across from you. You took a sip as you watched his friendly eyes travel back to yours, leaning on the table and looking at you with confidence in his gaze.
“Shouldn't you be working?” You questioned quietly, trying to find the drinking hole which had been on the cap of your drink.
“I'm the owner of this place… what are they gonna do, fire me?” he responded calmly, as if he was expecting your question and had already prepared a response beforehand.
You nodded; he was right after all, he was indeed the owner and the boss of every single person who worked here despite likely being younger than the majority of customers who walked in.
The mood became awkward and tense, he could sense that you weren't in the mood for talking and he was completely understanding of it.
“Would you mind at least telling me what's wrong? We did not build years of a connection for you to walk into my cafe one day all frowny and expect me to do nothing about it. You should at least give me an explanation.”
“It's really nothing-” you started before he cupped your face and stared directly at you, refusing to break eye contact. You shoved your face away from his touch, not feeling in the mood to be toyed with by anyone let alone a male.
He grinned and nodded, standing up from the chair and pushing it back in, you watched him as he slowly made his way back to the counter, patting your head in the process. “Alright then, want me to leave you alone? Then I'll leave you alone.”
You didn't want him to leave you alone, but of course you couldn't say that after the attitude you had shown him, which you really felt bad for. He was only trying to help and you responded to that rudely. Standing up, you walked to the counter and paid, deciding to leave it at that and walk out of the shop.
_______
You were sitting on your couch, cozily wrapped around blankets as you opened your bag of chips and poured yourself some hot tea. Boba sounded nice at the moment but you were not about to order some in the weather condition of the moment, it appeared as if it would rain soon and it was quite windy, dark too.
Turning on the TV, and skipping through the movie options before deciding to just watch a drama that you had stalled on 2 months prior.
You cuddled up in between all your blankets, getting into the mood of the drama as the two main protagonists (who you shipped) were currently in a fight; in a romantic manner if that was even possible, having been rudely interrupted by the sound of knocks coming from your front door.
Picking yourself up lazily from the couch; you groaned and made your way to the peephole, looking outside and finding none other than Minho standing in the hallway of the apartment complex.
Opening the door just enough to poke your head out, he stood in front of you with a smile, holding a bouquet of roses and a bag of snacks, a boba tea in the other hand. You hesitantly opened the door allowing him to come in and smell the fresh pasta that you had recently made.
“Smells good.” He muttered, watching you nod, shut the door, and walk over to the kitchen.
“I didn’t expect you, you could’ve made me aware so I baked some cookies.” You scolded. It had become a tradition since highschool to always make cookies for one another whenever one went to the other's house, just as a treat and signature of your friendship.
He shrugged, placing the bag down on the table and setting the roses inside of your vase.
“Not necessary every time.” he said teasingly, to which you shook your head and began to get out your cookie dough and pan.
He came up behind you, taking your hand and shaking his head.
“If you wanna make some then let's do it together.”
Flinching in surprise, you took your arm away from his grip. “I have a boyfriend and you know it.” you stated, immediately watching his expression change as you slapped a hand onto your mouth, it made a sound that he knew must’ve hurt.
“Still can’t get over him huh? I watched him go off with other girls and drag you back in with sweet words every time. Now that he’s finally gone and out of your life you happen to be unable to get over him?”
You shook your head, “I don’t think that’s-”
“He broke up with you because you’re friend’s with me... Did you ever watch him reject the advances of another person? He was unloyal and you knew it yet you refused to see it.”
The words stung into you like a needle, shutting your eyes as you let his phrase sink into you.
Noticing your expression, his eyes softened as he walked near you, smiling and pushing your hair behind your ear. Bringing your face up to look at him.
“Don’t live off of lies…” He whispered, pressing your lips against his as he brought you into a warm, wet kiss. You didn’t fight back, allowing him to spend as much time as he wanted, you enjoyed his touch and always had, ever since high school.
He backed away moments later, watching you smile once again with a slight tint of red on your cheeks.
“Why are you blushing? This isn’t our first-”
“Shut up.”
You interrupted, immediately turning back to the cookie box as you removed the cookie dough and began shaping them, finding your own bag of chocolate chips and adding them, pressuring him to do the same.
He watched and smiled in a soft manner.
You were his and you always knew it.

Never hesitated to be the first to get out of bed.
Although he does insist at times to stay in bed and worry about the rest tomorrow.
He always makes sure you're okay and not hurt anywhere.
If you're hungry, say no more, food’s on the way no matter how late it may be.
He always makes you take a shower after.
If it's early he'll grab your skincare products and bring you everything you need for your skincare routine.
Has snacks and if it's not too late he'll ask to watch a movie.
Tries to watch you at all times, wants to ensure your safety to the maximum because at the end of the day he never knows if your legs might be aching.
He attempts to stay near you, because he doesn't wanna leave you alone.
Whatever you want, he'll get it.
Even though you insist that you're okay and for him not to worry, you know damn well he's going to worry.
He's very sweet, doesn't mind doing any favor you ask him to for the next couple of weeks.
But to be fair, it's technically just him being a regular partner with a bit more sincerity.
Makes you aware how much he loves you and how much you mean to him.

INCLUDES | Ciel, Sebastian, Grell, Undertaker, Alois, Vincent,
READER | Gn
GENRE | Fluff, Headcanons
WARNINGS | Mention of the word seductive in a non suggestive way
WORD COUNT | 0.3k (50ish per character)
A/N | Is there any other character from Black Butler who'd you like me to add to these headcanons? Please let me know :D

🪻 𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖎𝖓𝖌
Sebastian
He's the loving type and there's nothing you can do to convince me otherwise. Despite being a demon, he'll make sure you're his queen and he's only ever doing what you ask of him. Of course, due to his personality, he'd absolutely love to tease you, but it's more of a love language for him.
Undertaker
His way of showing affection is far more seductive; teasing you often with heart-fluttering jokes and close proximity. He knows the best ways to edge you on and it's really what he wants, however when you do the same he'd tend to get more intimate (in a fluffy way).
Vincent
This man knows he's attractive and what's the least he can do than shower his S/O with gifts and love. He knows his partner's interests and likes, so it's quite simple to pick out good and high quality gifts, and although it isn't common, he doesn't mind physical affection such as hugs or kisses.
🪻 𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖉
Ciel
What more can you expect from our tsundere king. Ciel isn't the best at expressing his emotions and because of it, it often causes him to come off as cold to his S/O.. however, he is an easily flustered boy, who will definitely become flushed in blush if his partner is just one step too close. He will often buy his partner gifts though.
Alois
He's been through a lot, so he doesn't enjoy the company of someone more than that of his S/O. Now, Alois is a great lover, fight the wall; but he's also quite clingy, and that is mainly because of his fear to lose yet another important person to him, so he'd often have nightmares where he'd need to cuddle up in between your arms.
🪻 𝕭𝖔𝖙𝖍
Grell
There's no need to say, they'd shower you with complements and absolutely die when you do the same. Their affection has no limit and they're willing to sacrifice absolutely anything for you, and of course, they love it when you show the same level of care and sincerity for them.

A/N | It took me a while along with a lot of postponing, but this is my submission for @deoboyznet boyz who bite event. It isn't my best work at all, a bit lazy but it will due :D

“Y/n! What do we do with them?”
You stared at the body which laid on the floor, unsure of how to respond to your colleagues.
The police had called your team because this case looked unnaturally gruesome, something that didn't look like the work of a human due to the extent of it. You were put in charge for the moment; though you weren't the main boss.
“Bring them to the lobby for now. It'd be important to bring them in for investigation.” you finally responded, seeing your coworker nod in understanding and run over to those in charge of caring for the corpse.
You sighed, turning around and spotting Chanhee approaching you, clipboard in hand.
Choi Chanhee was one of the newer guys; he was in charge of concluding what monster everyone should be expecting in a certain situation based on any small clues he could find; this was actually his first serious case.
“Whatcha find?” You asked informally, seeing him chuckle as he took a spot right next to you.
“I found a couple things on the body, such as two bite marks on their neck and multiple stains of unidentifiable blood covered fingers on walls. It seems like whoever, or whatever did this knows that they won't be in police systems.”
You stared at his writing, nodding in response.
“Right so-” before you could finish your question he shushed you with an undeniable confidence. You held your laughter, trying to remain professional, but to be completely honest you thought it was adorable.
“Vampires are the most likely cause.” He stated, making you second glance all the gathered clues and nod.
“It'd make sense; the two bite marks and fingerprints seem to add up.” you started, scanning the room for any other missed clues that had yet to be discovered. You glanced back to see him slowly walking forward, you followed him shortly after.
“However, I also found that the fingerprints carried a certain detail that could prove helpful in our investigation. I took some time to study the previous records that we have on various creatures, and found a seemingly repetitive pattern for vampires. All of them have this certain mark on their finger that they receive depending on their vampire age. The older the vampire is, the bigger and more evident the mark will be.”
He approached a stained wall, locating the mark and allowing you to inspect it.
“Judging by this mark; it appears this vampire is quite young, appearing to only age around 15-25 years old.”
You glanced back at him.
“You found all of this just by looking at a fingerprint?”
He chuckled awkwardly, nodding his head in response. How could such an important factor go unnoticed? Was all you could bring yourself to ask, not out loud, but it was still a worthy question.
“Alright then, best go talk to a superior on this new discovery. You better teach us about this age telling mark.” You said with a tease, watching him grin before nodding.
“Y/n!” A voice called from afar. It was Juyeon, who had been jogging towards you while holding a folder.
“What is it?” You asked, seeing him hand over the folder full of files.
“Your husband… Kim Sunwoo is here to pick you up.”
“What!?”
Chanhee and Juyeon looked over at you with a confused expression. You shook your head to snap out of your transe and decided to accept it.
“Not sure why he decided to do so in a time like this but alright.”
Glancing around, you called out and decided to put Jacob in charge. He was the better option between everyone in the crowd.
Waving goodbye and making your way outside; stepping over the ‘crime scene’ tape as you approached your husband.
“What important event is it today that you had to pick me up early?” You asked teasingly, watching him look up from his phone to return that teasing gaze.
“Forgot our anniversary?”
Your expression immediately dropped as you scrambled for your phone, watching him burst out laughing as the screen lit up and showed a different date.
“I'm kidding.”
“You jerk.” You responded with a laugh, placing your phone back inside of your pocket before looking back up at him who was leaning down to plant a small kiss on your forehead.
“Hey now, that’s a bit rude.” he chuckled teasingly, earning a mimic from you as he walked over to the driver side door. You entered the vehicle and felt the car go into drive. You simply stared out the window as he drove off; the small restaurant which had become a crime scene vanished out of sight.
Far too focused into your own thoughts, you spoke without much of a thought.
“Sunwoo… do you believe in monsters? All those creatures we hear and see in movies and novels?” You asked in a low voice that expressed your exhaustion.
He hesitated for a moment, stopping at the next red light and relaxing back on his seat for a moment as he remained silent. He sighed, “There must be something out there.” he muttered, almost to himself as he leaned back up upon the once red light becoming a bright neon green.
“Something you discovered at work?” He questioned, to which you nodded, not moving your gaze from the window and continuously staring at the outside.
It wasn’t supposed to be said, but Sunwoo was your husband and you practically told him everything that was meant to be kept secret from anyone outside of those in the organization.
“A new body was discovered. Police say that the murder must have taken place sometime around the early hours of the morning.” you groaned, watching him glance at you through the rear view mirror and nod.
“So many new cases of late; have you ever thought they all may be connected?” he questioned, watching you glance over back at him and nod knowingly.
“We have, but it seems that the culprits are all different people and none of the victims seem to be closely related. I suppose the motives should be different as well.”
He didn’t say much after that, simply listened and offered to buy you fast food; and well, you didn’t ask him to say much either, afterall it was a situation between you and your colleagues; something between you and your job.
—-----------
Sunwoo approached the doorway, wiping the red off of his cheek and slipping into the warmth of his jacket; knocking on the door and waiting for the person on the other side.
The door opened slowly and cautiously.
“Sunwoo? How the hell are you walking around like that?” He said, being quick to drag him into the room.
“Don't overthink it.” Sunwoo reassured, entering the small and cozy living space and taking a seat on the couch. “I was cautious when making my way over here.”
“I surely hope you were.” He muttered, breathing a sigh of relief as he passed Sunwoo a black towel to clean himself.
“So what have you been up to Eric?” Sunwoo said casually, earning a reaction from Eric as he immediately turned due to his nonchalant attitude.
“That's what I would like to ask you. What did you do?” Eric redirected, brewing some coffee and taking down 3 mugs from the cabinets above.
Sunwoo stared before sighing and smiling to himself. “I’m not sure if I should-”
“Sunwoo?”
He turned around to the sound of his name, smiling upon seeing Eric’s roommate, Haknyeon, who was coming out of the shower and drying his hair with a towel.
“What happened to you?” He asked, unsurprised by Sunwoo’s current state and messy appearance.
“I'd like to talk about it; but before that let me take a shower. If I returned home like this I'd earn a concerned stare from Y/n.”
Eric and Haknyeon nodded in understanding, Eric's eyes softening upon the mention of his friend's soulmate. Sunwoo walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind him.
***
They all sat in the living room, warm coffee in hands along with small store-bought muffins and pastries. Both Eric and Haknyeon refused to look away from Sunwoo, staring at him until he finally decided to speak up.
“Alright, alright.” He chuckled, placing his mug down and reaching out for a small plate.
“You don't need to speak up, we're just curious.” Eric added, to which Sunwoo shook his head.
“No worries.” He reiterated.
Haknyeon and Eric listened intently, taking a couple sips from their coffee's and paying attention to every word he spoke. Though at first disagreeing they eventually agreed and let go of the entire situation.
—-----------
You stared in confusion, seeing their uneasy stares.
“Please take a look.” He said, making you take the envelope from his hand and stare down at it.
In the envelope, there were multiple photographs of the crime scene from the previous day. At first glance there isn’t anything particularly wrong with them; it wasn’t until closer inspection that you noticed the figure who lingered in the back of the photos. All except one.
“Who is that..? You stuttered, seeing them take glances at each other before shaking their heads.
“We were hoping you would know that...” Jacob replied, the small bit of hope in his voice fading into an abyss of emptiness.
As if on cue, Chanhee walked into the room. His curiosity had gotten the better of him and he decided to check what the sudden commotion was about; heart dropping upon hearing the news of the mysterious person in the back of the captured pictures and almost quitting right then and there.
“This doesn't make sense. Vampires don't appear on pictures. They can't appear on pictures..!” Chanhee exclaimed, making you all glance at him realization.
He was right. Vampires and many other mythical creatures don't appear on photographs due to the fact that they aren't exactly alive; they aren't technically real.
Jacob and Hyunjae tried to reason, maybe it was one of your people though it was highly unlikely. Juyeon stayed silent, although you knew it was just him trying to make himself feel better about the entire situation. You on the other hand, took the time to analyze the photo better, the body shape seemed oddly familiar to you.
“If there was someone else there; I'm confused as to how they went unnoticed.” A voice spoke from the doorway.
You all turned around, coming face to face with Kevin who stood in the entryway of the room. Hyunjae’s face lit up by the entrance of the familiar face; feeling better to see someone reliable and different.
“Or how they got passed the cops who were positioned outside on that manner.” Jacob added, his voice of fear being replaced by annoyance.
However, you remained silent as they all argued, and for that left the room without saying another word. This was more than just a vampire case and you knew it. It was a case of some sort of betrayal.
—-----------
You laid in bed, being joined by your husband soon after who laid beside you, taking you into his embrace and cuddling you, pressing multiple lazy kisses up to your temple.
“Long day?” He asked in a comforting voice.
“Doesn't matter right now.” You smiled, feeling his lips plant another small peck onto your forehead. His breath was shallow, low and solacing; bringing you a relaxing sensation that drifted you off into a deep state of unawareness.
You didn't know what happened next, you fell asleep.
5:27 A.M.
Sunwoo wasn't by your side.
He was gone, vanished from sight..
You waited for a couple seconds, thinking he might've gone downstairs to get a cup of water from the kitchen; but as the minutes went by, you started to discriminate that thought furthermore.
Lifting yourself from the bed, you made your way to the closet, taking out a jacket and finding the arm holes to slip into, zipping up the zipper and finding the door inside of the dark room. Your walk down the stairs was careful, your mind felt like it had been in a dream-like state, which made it difficult to concentrate when you found your shoes next to the door.
It took you a moment before you registered the feeling of the outside wind brushing up against your cheek, hair flowing by the cold air, moonlight shining inside of the house and illuminating the dark space.
“What are you doing awake?” He said, walking inside yet keeping the door open to allow the midnight air to enter of the enclosed area.
“I would ask you the same question.” You said with unintended seriousness that caused him and his stomach to turn.
“I just went out for a walk-”
You shook your head, he was lying once more and this time you wouldn't stand by it. You felt your throat tighten, in a tenseness that you found yourself unable to describe.
“Blood. It's on your shirt.”
Your mouth said it before your eyes had noticed. He looked down and glanced back up, eyes an unsettling red color that hadn't been there before. Something that only appeared now.
“Right.” He agreed, nodding casually at your words as if it was normal to be carrying around a shirt full of red stains.
You knew now,
Vampires were a very real thing.
Something so real that they shouldn't be second guessed. The way humans don't second guess another human's existence.
But vampires weren't the worst of creatures, at least not all of them. There were definitely worse things on this planet; worse stuff than blood sucking monsters who were on the constant look out for a fresh meal.
But some didn't feed off of human blood, others straight up hated it, it was different for everyone. Vampires had their own taste and likes, just like humans did. In fact, humans and vampires were species of similar kind.
Both held similar complexity, and strived to survive from everyday dangers. If any creature had the chance of blending in almost flawlessly with a human crowd, it'd be a vampire.
And of course, finding out your lifetime partner’s secret couldn't be helped. It was an obvious shock, but you learned to accept it everytime you remember his vivid words that night, reaching out his hand to bring you into the night sky with him.
“Will you join me?”
