Karasu Tabito :

im not really that deep into his character but i think he'd be quite interested in learning sign language to show his dedication to you.

of course , it takes time and patience. And he's willing to have that for your sake , and so he can help you communicate with others , and you feel really flattered by it. he's taking online classes , he's watching videos about it.

it starts appearing on his fyp constantly and you'd see him trying out the word/sentence it'd be so cute.

i believe that during the process of his learning he'd give you a small notebook so you write your answers during you convo (duh) and he'd help you up with any activitey that needs talking.

He'd encourage you to share your ideas , whether w sign language or writing because he wants to make sure you feel like a normal person who is able to express themselves normally.

trying to order some food ? he memorises your favourites , with detail. someone messed your order (let's imagine you just pointed at the option and that he wasn't there) i feel like he'd be ready to throw hands.

I think it'd be really lovely to see him make an effort into becoming your personal translator to have an excuse to be at your side at all time❤️❤️

Side plate : i think you'd watch him sometimes when he practices and you clap for him from the sidelines , and it boosts his ego and melts his heart. And if you know how to play you'd have some frequent football sessions togsther 🫶🫶

Alright let's see , the cutie patootie (looks are decieving this mf is a sadist ahem) is quite attentive to your situation.

First of all he does NOT hesitate to start learning sign language , he has too much time to spare so he spends it trying to learn how to communicate with you , no matter the way.

So im picturing this , videocalling you to have some convos as he tells you about his day and asks you tell him back and he tries to understand as a form of practice.

And at the same time he voices out his stuggles about his learning process and shows you what he learned so far.💙💙🤏

I believe sometime he'd invite you over so he introduces you to football if you're interesyed in learning , telling you the rules , showing you some famous matches and players and events..etc

Or if you already know or a footballer you'd have some conversations about diffeent opinions in football so you get to express youself comfortably about a topic you enjoy.

Again , would encourage you (if comfy) to voice out your opinions and thoughts in any way to make sure you always feel heard.

Well....i would say , at first , when you're not really close i don't think he'd pay any attention to it and he would be slightly irritated when you try to say something in sign language or by gesture and he doesn't understand (sorry if ooc)

He'd treat you like any other side girl he had , but slowly and over time , he'd grow interested in you and how you talk. If you guys grow closer , he would probably get out of his way to try and learn sign language for your sake and try to understand you a little further.

And let me tell you , it's one hell of a slow burn

But eventually , if you're really important to him , if you're diffrent , he's willing to give it some extra effort so he can listen to you ramble with that adorable smile on your face.

He's kinda shy with pda but if you take his hand while walking around the aquarium he would love it a lot

He can stay a lot of time around jellyfish, the color it captivating

He can be loud around bigger animals like sharks or tortoises

Absolutely wants a matching keychain with both your favorite animals

He's most likely to play around if you're in places like parks so he would initiate contacts more

But he also like to take a plaid and lay down with you while toi read or just make fun about people around you

Rin Itoshi was always overshadowed by his older brother, constantly being referred to as “Sae Itoshi’s lil bro”.

He’d be lying if he said it didn’t bother him

Even the girls at school were only interested in him for the fame

But you were “nOt LiKe ThE oThEr GiRlS 🤪🥺” (lord save me)

You’ve seen several of Rin’s games, including the most recent one. He wasn’t quite playing as well as he usually did, but this went relatively unnoticed by fans

After the game, you took a gamble and decided to approach the boy

“Hey… Rin Itoshi right? Great game!” she tried to optimistic and complement him

“...Huh?” He just stared 😭 “Who are you…??”

“We’re classmates…? I just wanted to say I really liked watching you play! That last move was amazing, I can see why you went down the left side instead of the right, with defense being so tight and all..” she was starting to regret talking to the dry boy and laughed awkwardly “Well… Good luck with your next game!” she bowed and left

Rin just kinda stood there ;v;

“Huh… someone actually was watching me…” Bro had the smallest smile on his face

You and Sae were roommates, everything worked out pretty well between you two

In fact, half the time, he wasn’t even home. Like now, for instant, he was out on a business trip and wouldn’t be home for another day

So imagine your surprise when you were peacefully watching Chainsaw Man in the living room, and your front door flies open

In the doorway stood a tall tanned man with blonde hair and pink eyes

“SAE MY LOVEEEE~ IM HERE FOR YOU” The man practically chanted, you had no clue if he knew whether or not you were there 

He finally notices, and you two have a moment of awkwardnes

“... Wtf are you doing iN MY HOUSE???”

“WTF ARE YOU DOING IN SAE ITOSHI’S HOUSE??”

“WE’RE ROOMMATES?!?!”

“...Oh”

Mentally facepalming at this man’s stupidity- “Sae isn’t home right now, also how did you get in??”

Shidou just shrugged “There was a key under the doormat” he spun it around his finger

You looked this man up and down, tbh, if he was an intruder, there was no way you could take him “You’re Shidou Ryusei right? I remember you from one of Sae’s games…” you said, mentally recalling the guy scream about dopamine

“Yessirr~” he grinned “Best striker in the world right here!”

 You could do nothing but sigh as you reached for your popcorn and prepared to get back to watching, “the tan man will sort himself out…” you wished thought

His eyes shot to the screen as you resumed the show, “Are you watching Chainsaw Man?” he asked

“Yea…??”

“YOOO THAT’S MY FAV, LEMME JOIN IN”

And before you knew it, he was curled up beside you eating your popcorn as you two binged the night away

>Sae

Sae’s perfume had ran out recently, and he found himself strolling through the mall for a new one

You, on the other hand, were called in for a last minute shift in the store since your co-workers cancelled on you. So, here you were, sitting in your little store, all by yourself

That is, until a ashen-brown haired man walked in

The first thing Sae noticed is you. You in all your beauty, standing behind the desk, sifting through the perfumes

He wondered why you worked for a scent store and not a modeling agency. That was until he actually got closer. 

Your sweet smell embraced him, instantly feeling comfortable in the small store

“Hey, you sell perfumes, yea?” he asked, with a small tilt of his head

“Mhm! One for every occasion, how can I help you?” you replied with a warm smile

“An everyday sort of thing. Nothing too strong…”

You thought for a bit, then one particular scent came to mind, you shuffled through the store to get it “Here, try this one.” 

It was a simple one with a slightly stronger undertone. It was a bit on the pricey side, but seeing how he was dressed, you were sure he could afford it

He tried it out on his wrist, and b the look on his face, you could tell he liked it

“Hm. Quite nice, I think I’ll take it.” he handed you back the bottle with a nod “Actually, I’ll take two.”

You smiled, just happy to make some sales “Great! I’ll get that packed for you.”

You bagged the two perfumes and handed it to him with a bow “Thank you for your purchase! Please come again!”

Sae walked out the door feeling much lighter than before, “It must be the perfume…” he thought, but why was it that he wished to know your name… 

>Niko

He comes and asks you to join his soccer team (Niko 11)

You had heard about what happened in one of the other classes, a boy named Niko had challenged the soccer team to a duel in 100 days. From your knowledge, Niko was not one to put himself out there “hm. Those Yu-Gi-Oh cards must mean a lot to them…” you though “Surely I won’t get dragged into this… right??”

Oh how wrong you were. You knew that he was recruiting teammates, and being one of the fastest people on the track and field team, it only made sense that he came to find you

Niko knew that you were pretty, but he didn’t know you were that pretty. Especially now that he was standing in front of you. “Uh- Hi….” he tired to keep his composure 

“...Hello, Niko, right? I have a feeling I know what you’re gonna ask…” You said, looking the boy up and down. His face was tinted with a bit of blush, it was clear the boy was not used to talking to people

“Y-Yea…” He muttered, he couldn’t tell if you were happy or not “So then- would you be willing to play on a soccer team with me?”

The way those teal eyes looked at yours, you just could not say no ;)

>Kaiser

Ness has been spending less time with him, and he’s wondering why. He soon finds out it’s you

“HUH?? What do you mean you’re ‘busy’ tomorrow??.” Kaiser demanded an answer from the poor boy.

“I-uhm… I’m going out with a friend…” the magenta boy gave him a weak smile “You should come with, I think you two would get along great!” 

Kaiser only rolled his eyes and scoffed “Your ‘friend’?? You mean the same one you’ve been texting for the past TWO WEEKS???”

Ness flinched “Y-Yea…” he looked up at kaiser “Is there a problem with that?”

Kaiser glared at him. Usually Ness would bow his head and spit out a thousand apologies. This new found “rebellion” was NOT supposed to happen. “It’s probably the doing of that ‘friend’ of his…” The blue haired boy thought

“Fine.” he looked Ness in his eyes “Let me meet them. Let’s see if they really are worthy of my prescance.”  

>Ness

He’s sent to a vending machine by Kaiser to fetch some food, but he forgot his wallet. Lucky, you’re a decent person :D 

“Ness.” Kaiser glared at the scared boy “Get me a drink. Anything but milk. Go.”

“I-Yessir!” Ness bowed before running off. Kaiser was in a bad mood, he didn’t want it to get any worse.

“A drink… where’s the vending machine…??” He looked around. And finally, he found one.

He leaned on the glass of the machine, catching his breath. “Hm. An energy drink maybe?? Or does he want some juice… no no, he had juice this morning. An energy drink it is.” he said to himself and reached for his wallet

“... oh sh1t-” 

Ness had been in such a rush that he forgot to bring money. He feel to his knees and let out a silent cry of despair

You, on the other hand, stood right behind him, trying to contain your laugh from the events unfolding in front of you. Unfortunately, you couldn’t stop a small chuckle from escaping, which you quickly tired coved

“Uh- Are you… alright??” you looked the boy up and down. He stared at you, eyes wide and mouth agape 

How could he embarrass himself in front of someone so pretty!! He covered his face with his hands, still on the floor.

You could only laugh “Forgot your wallet right? Here, let me pay” you felt kinda bad for the boy, but also slightly amused, which just made you feel worse.

You could practically see stars in his eyes. 

As you paid for the drink, he gave a grateful bow “Thank you so much, you saved me!” and before you knew it, he ran off

You could only shake your head and laugh at the interaction 

>Otoya

^Reader is assigned Otoya for secret Santa, and reluctantly gets him some gifts. He’s quite shocked when you get him things he actually likes

“Otoya” The teacher called, “Your Secret Santa gift.”

“Oh?” the boy took the gift from her hands. It was a gently wrapped box with a feeble attempt of a bow, which he could only laugh at. He noticed that the wrapping paper used was a green that was similar to the streak in his hair, and the ribbons to the rest. He had never seen such a carefully packaged gift. Even the ones he had gotten from his girlfriends exes were usually lame store bought ones.

That's why when opening the gift, he was so careful to not tear the paper.

As the teacher went around passing the other gifts around, Otoya opened his box and inspected the contents 

Inside he found 2 churros (his favourite), a set of headphones (he broke his a few days ago), a small phoenix (his favourite animal) figure, and a handwritten note.

He wondered who could know him this well, to have gotten him such personalized gifts. He deduced that it could only be his best bud, Karasu.

“Yo” Otoya approached the crow boy “thanks for the gift.”

Karasu could only stare “Gift? What gift? I didn’t get you anything… sorry”

Otoya showed him the box “These, did you not get them for me?” he was confused.

Karasu picked up the letter “Why don’t you try reading it? Maybe it’ll tell you who it is”

The white haired boy neatly tore open the note and read it.

“Hm. It’s nothing but a simple ‘Merry Christmas!’ and whatnot…” he muttered. Now he kinda wanted to know who it was from 

Karasu took the card and analyzed the handwriting “Oh. That’s their writing” the observer said and pointed at you, watching them from across the room

“Ungrateful brat…” you swore under your breath, of course Otoya thought it was from Karasu. But come on, you hated getting gifts for a fboy like him. You should’ve at least got some credit

you sighed and left the classroom, considering that you got a crappy candle as your Secret Santa gift, you were pretty frustrated

Otoya caught up to you outside the room “Hey, [Y/N] right? Thank you for the gift” he flashed the best smile he could manage

“Yea…” you muttered, still sad about your candle “Hope you like it… Least you didn’t get something lame like this…” you turned the saran wrapped gift in your hands “Actually, how do you know my name? I’ve always tried to avoid you…”

“Oh uh…” he laughed awkwardly “I was your Secret Santa…”

>Karasu

You take notes very interestingly, using a different font for every subject. He tries to decode one of your notes, you catch him in the act and teach him

You always had a silly habit of encrypting your notes. They were simple observations you made on your classmates, but if anyone read them, you might be in a bit of trouble…

“Nagi keeps looking at Isagi… But isn’t he with Reo??” you quickly noted, automatically translating into your encryption. It wasn’t anything too complicated, it was pretty easy to get used to, it was just for an extra layer of protection. Surely once someone saw it was encrypted, they’d just give up reading it… right??

Wrong :p 

Karasu had been watching you write these for quite a while, but couldn’t figure out the pattern. But he never had the chance to actually see one up close

And that’s why he took the chance after class while you were in the bathroom.

He quickly pulled out your notebook from your bag, and flipped it open. He sat on the desk and got to work, trying to figure out the code

“Could it be numerical… no- that wouldn’t work…” he muttered to himself, unaware of the figure standing behind him

To be honest, you found this quite amusing. The class analyzer struggling to decode your notes. You couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

The look of fear and shock on this mans face as he turned to face you, it only made you laugh harder

“LMAOOOO- having a hard time, Mr. Genius?” you teased 

Karasu could only frown “Shut it…”

You smiled, and decided that this was too funny of a story you could tell your friends later. It was only fair you taught him your encryption in return

You sat down on the desk beside him, and started pointing out the pattern

He seemed to finally get it, everything clicked together like a puzzle in his mind “Ohhh, I get it. That’s really dope.” 

You could only laugh “I know right?”

>Reo

He’s practicing his soccer at school, and you stop by and judge him. You then point out everything he’s doing wrong, and leave. Man is stunned XD

You were just grabbing a drink from the vending machine before you left the school campus to go to your soccer team’s practice. 

Being in such a prestigious school meant only academic extracurriculars were provided, you you had to play club

As you grabbed your drink from the slot, a sound caught your attention. “That’s definitely the sound of a soccer ball…” you thought to yourself, having heard that sound several times “Who from this school would play soccer??”

You walked towards the campus exit, which just so happened to be the same direction as the field. And there he was, a purple haired boy, practicing his shots on a make-shift goal. 

You recognize him as Reo Mikage, I mean, the whole school knew him. You decided to get a better view and move closer

Upon further observation, it was clear that he was new to the sport, you could help but feel a bit bad as you laughed

Reo turned to you the second he heard your tease. He frowned “What.”

You composed yourself “Sorry sorry, I was just… admiring your soccer… skills. Yes.” You said, sounding more unsure of yourself than he was of you

He scoffed, “Please, what do you know about soccer?”

“Enough to be a starter on a good team” you shrugged smugly “You on the other hand… You could work on your passing. The ball’s trajectory changes every time, try making contact with the ball on a more consistent spot, and put more speed in it. Also- when you dribble, make sure to at least be somewhat aware of the field in front of you. I could take that ball off you instantly.” you laughed and left, remembering you still had practice to go to.

Reo on the other hand, was left there stunned, “No way… Someone else here plays soccer!” He made a mental note to find you tomorrow, before packing up.

Rin was warming up for his game, it had been a few days since he last saw you

He didn’t mean to look for you in the crowd, it just ‘happened’, at least that’s what he’s been telling himself 

And he didn’t actually get excited when he saw you he was just… getting in the mood to play! Yea, that’s right… He definitely smiles on a normal basis, this isn’t anything special…

He felt like he was playing better than usual, did your look of awe motivate that… no…?

Once the game wrapped up (they won, obviously) he poked through the crowd to find you. He wasn’t too sure why, his body started moving before Rin could come up with a good excuse stop it 

But you were the one to find him instead. Maybe it was because he was so tired from playing..

He just finished chugging his bottle too, and he was about to go get some more

“Hey Rin, great game! Oh here- would you like some water?” You offered a plastic bottle that you definitelydidn’tbringjustforRin just so happened to have on you

He looked at you like you were his savour before proceeding to down it in 2 seconds

He took a second to catch his breath before thanking you “So, why are you here?”

You could only laugh “I’ve seen most your games, you’ve got a very entertaining playstyle” 

“Oh… ok.”

It was only now that you realized how this made you come off, “Going to every one of Rin Itoshi’s games? It was just to watch, no feelings behind it, right…? Yea.” You thought to yourself “I mean- it’s not like I even know him. He wouldn’t even want to be around m-”

“Do you wanna come to my game tomorrow?” Rin blurted, as he interrupted your thoughts “It’s at a larger stadium, so you need to buy tickets…”

“Oh uhm… yea!” you gave a hesitant smile, never did you expect Rin to invite you somewhere, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity! You didn’t mind spending a few bucks on tickets-

“Great. I actually already have a ticket for you… you’ll be my +1, if that’s alright with you…” he pulled out a neatly folded slip of paper with your information and barcode. 

It was a VIP ticket

You were hesitant at first “Are you sure…? Aren’t these really expensive?” 

Rin just shrugged “Yea, I don’t mind.” he placed the tickets in your hands “Just actually show up okay?”

“Yeah! Of course.” you were screaming inside “I’ll see you there!”

And with that, the boy went on his way.

Shortly after he got a call from his mother

“Rin, have you given the ticket to your brother yet?”

It’s only been a few days after you managed to get him out the house

He ended up staying the night for the first day, and you only got him out by giving him your number 

He had been texting you constantly, telling you the most random things “Omg look at this bird bro, I could lowkey swallow it whole” “HELP I PISSED SAE-SAN OFF AGAIN-” “Will you watch the new csm movie with me?” “PLEASE WATCH THE NEW CSM MOVIE WITH ME” “WATCH THE NEW MOVIE WITH ME PLEASEEE I BEG”

He would NOT shut up about watching the new csm movie, turns out, he doesn’t have any friends that watch chainsaw man… actually, you weren't sure if he had friends at at-

So you finally agreed to watch it with him in the cinema, and he was OVERJOYED 

He bought the tickets and everything

Shidou would come and pick you up in the morning, then you guys would go out to buy some snacks, and smuggle bring them into the theater

Shidou was very happy to have someone hang out with him, and you guys had a lot of fun :D 

>Sae

Sae found himself going to the perfume store for the 4th time this week

It was friday

Did he really need another perfume? No. Has he already bought 12 from you this week? Yes. But Sae Itoshi still wandered the mall, making his way over to your store

“Hello, [Y/N]” he said with a nod, the greeting had become a daily routine 

But it seemed that you were preoccupied with another customer, Sae frowned

The man was almost yelling at you, talking about how useless you were, making inappropriate comments, etc.

Just when Sae walked in, the man knocked over a very expensive bottle of perfume that he requested to “look at”, when you had tried to get him to pay for damages, he just walked out!

If you had more energy, maybe you would’ve gone after him, but it had been a long day, and your shift was about to end in a few minutes anyway.

You finally noticed Sae in the store, and tried to compose yourself

“Hello, Mr.Itoshi, 4th time is it?” You said with a small laugh

“Yes. Hello.” He said as he looked at the broken bottle on the floor “How much was that?”

You sighed “$420….” You grabbed the broom and quickly cleaned it up

“Hm. Let me pay for it.” Sae said, as he pulled out a fat wad of cash

“Oh! Uhm… that’s a lot of money…” You replied, staring at the cash

Sae only shrugged, “No, not really.” He placed the stack on the counter 

You gave a weak laugh as you finished your cleaning “So, what can I help you with this time, Mr Itoshi? I think you’ve already got all our new arrivals…”

“Hm.” He looked around the store. If he was honest, he didn’t even need more perfume, the first one you gave him was perfect. And yet he still came here everyday.

A few seconds of silence passed, Sae wasn’t sure how many. But you were counting

“6…5…4…3…” you kept track in your head “2…1.”

The clock struck 6. You gave a quick bow to the man “I’m so sorry, but my shift is over now.”

“Oh”

“Wait uh-” Sae hesitated “Could… I buy one perfume before you go?”

You checked your watch “I’m so sorry, I have to catch the bus” you apologized “There’s always tomorrow!” you tried to keep it positive (and make sure you have clients)

“Let me get you an Uber.” he insisted “We wouldn’t want you getting wet now would we?”

Once the Uber arrived, Sae walked you out with an umbrella 

You turned to him and gave him your thanks “And what perfume did you want to get? I’ll make sure we have it in stock tomorrow if you pass by again”

“Oh… I was wondering which one you used…”

“My perfume?”

“Yea.”

You smiled and looked through your purse, pulling out a small bottle and handed it to him “It’s this one, I’ve had it for a while” 

He was caught off guard by the action “Really? Are you okay with me having it?” He examined your facial expression

“Yes, I insist.” you laughed lightly, “You are indirectly my main source of income too so yk-”

Ness smiled “Yea…” he was scared that you and Kaiser were going to break out in a fight at any moment 

Kaiser was deeply offended by your remark, and felt the need to make a comeback, but you had already moved off the topic

“So, where do you wanna go, Ness? There are quite a few places nearby…” You checked the map on your phone

Ness only looked at the other boy, “Is there anywhere you want to go, Kaiser?”

Kaiser stared down at you “Where do you want to go?”

You did not expect that, someone like him asking for your preference? “Not gonna lie, I’m pretty hungry… I’d be down for a cafe.” you gave him a warm smile as a thanks

Kaiser looked back at Ness “Let’s go Karaoke.” 

“WHATTTT??” your jaw dropped. He asked for your opinion to choose the most tiring activity?? You glared at him. You were going to out-sing this man if it were the last thing you did.

And out-sing him you did. Kaiser only scoffed and said he wasn’t taking it seriously anyway.

After karaoke, you guys did a lot of other activities, shopping, watched a movie, laughed at babies crying, you were having so much fun that you completely forgot about your hunger. And your grudge against Kaiser. Alright, fine, you tolerated him. But you weren’t going to tell him that! He can inflate his own ego.

“Hey Liebling,” He called, using a nickname he picked for you just a few hours ago (you had to ask Ness what it meant, but Kaiser told him not too) “You still hungry?” 

If you hadn’t known any better, you would’ve thought he genuinely cared!

“Depends….” you examined his expression to figure out his intentions 

Kaiser only laughed “Alright. Let’s go pick up some food at the Cafe.”

This was too good to be true! So you kept your guard high

Ness giggled at your expression “You know, he’s not alway a jerk, just… 95% of the time!”

“Wow, thanks Ness, so very comforting.”

When you guys arrived at the cafe, you were immediately attracted by your favourite dessert. You looked through the display to see the one piece left.

“Oh? You like that dessert?” Kaiser popped up behind you, teasing

“What? No-” you lied

“Really? Then… I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I bought the last piece~” Kaiser taunted you as he grabbed his wallet

“You wouldn’t dare” you glared at him. You could put up with him being a jerk for the most part, but your dessert? Unacceptable.

And he still bought it!!

You were outraged, literally about to fight him.

“You sure he’s not always a jerk?” You questioned Ness as you glared daggers at Kaiser

Ness rolled his eyes playfully “I think he actually quite likes you”

“Really? Is mockery his love-language?” you joked sarcastically 

“Yes, actually.”

You rolled your eyes as you looked back at the other deserts, about to chose one

Kaiser scoffed and lightly tapped the boxed snack on your shoulder “Yours.”

“...Huh??” 

He glared at you “It’s for you. You're welcome.”

You took the box quickly and thanked him. Maybe Ness was right… me wasn’t always that bad…

As the day ended, you guys shared a last moment.

You gave Ness a quick hug as you were about to leave, and thanked Kaiser for the dessert 

Kaiser rolled his eyes “Do I not get a hug?”

You couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, but you gave him one anyway.

As you were about to pull back, Kaiser grabbed on to you,

“Next time, let’s go out together without Ness” he winked at you before departing 

Ness totally heard him say it too, but pretended like he didn’t, for the sake of his own safety ;)

Despite it being a week since he last saw you, he was thinking of you constantly. I mean, how often does he meet someone so nice and pretty?

At this point, Ness was volunteering to go to the vending machine for Kaiser, even spending his break there, just waiting to see you again

When Ness saw you again, he just starting going off about how thankful he was, and how he “didn’t deserve your grace” (the drink you bought for him was $4)

Once Ness had composed himself, he offered to buy you something in return!

And you weren’t one to deny free food, so of course you accepted 

“If you don’t mind me asking, you’re Alexis Ness right?” you asked as you opened your drink

Ness was overjoyed to hear you say his name, “Yes! Yes yes, that’s me, how’d you know?”

“I think i’ve seen some of your games, you’re the midfield for Bastard Munchen? You’re pretty good”

Ness tired so hard to contain his screaming “Really? Do you think so? I’m so honored!! Actually… I have a game tomorrow here, if it’s alright with you, can you come watch? Please? I’ll pay for tickets and everything!”

He was practically begging you, it made you question how his stricker treating him

“Great! I’ll get you VIP tickets! Just for you!” he seemed so excited to have you there “But um… there’s one small problem…”

You stared at the time on your phone, it read 11:59pm. You two were supposed to meet up 29 minutes ago.

You sighed and shook your head, you couldn’t say you were surprised, but still. You assumed Otoya had some human decency in him. So you told yourself you’d wait 30 minutes. If he still didn’t show, then maybe you’d give Karasu a call and see if he was busy…

You looked back at your phone, 11:59 turning into 12:00.

You mentally facepalmed for ever thinking Otoya would actually show and got ready to leave.

Just then, you heard you name getting screamed across the mall from behind you

“[Y/N]!” Otoya collapsed on to your back, trying to catch his breath, “Sorry I’m-... A bit late-”

You gave him a judgmental look while pushing him lightly off you “A bit?? Where were you!? I waited for 30 minutes!!”

“Yea about that..” he laughed awkwardly while brushing himself off “I forgot…”

You glared at him, slightly pissed. “Why did I ever agree to this…” you rubbed your temples “Should’ve gone out with Karasu instead..” you mumbled the last part before composing yourself 

“So- wanna grab some food? I’m kinda hungry…” he asked you while eyeing another women. What a great start to your first date.

You calmed yourself before agreeing, and the two of you made your way to the food court.

You were quite hungry as well, waiting for Otoya took much longer than you would’ve thought. So the two of you stood at the Churro stand while browsing the menu.

“Let me pay” Otoya offered with a smirk “As an apology for being late.”

You gave him a skeptical nod, “... You brought your wallet- right?”

His face froze for a second, before he started digging through his pockets.

Your eye twitched as you placed your order (and Otoya’s bc he always get the same thing) and pulled out your card to pay

But before you could tap, Otoya did instead, and the payment went through (surprisingly)

You gave him an amused smile as he gave a smug one (more to himself than you) seeming proud to have found his wallet

“Great job so far Eita.” He thought to himself, “10/10 date, I’m sure she’s in absolute amazement at my rizz.”

He took the Churros from the worker with a wink and handed you yours. Otoya smiled before taking a bite of his, “So, where’d you like to go?”

“Hm… there’s a new clothing shop nearby… how bout we check it out?”

Otoya nodded before following you closely, soon entering the store.

He helped you pick a few outfits out, and surprisingly, he knew exactly what you were comfortable in and what you looked good in. He even carried the bags for you after!

You two wandered around a bit more, stopping by whatever shops you felt like. He won a few claw machine games for you, and even hit on the cashier for a free donut(also for you-)!

As your date slowly came to an end, he made a short but proper apology for being late, and offered to walk you to the station.

Before you hopped on the train, you gave him a quick kiss and a wave, heading off

He’d never admit it, but he was blushing for the next 20min XD

[Seasonal Festival]

You looked at the map on your phone as you followed the path to your destination. He had invited you to the annual Lantern Rite, and you’ve never been before so you figured you should get there early/while it wasn’t entirely dark yet.

“Should be around here…” you mumbled, seeing that you're in the right area on the map- before bumping slightly into someone.

“Hey, thought you’d be here early.” Karasu laughed, seeing your surprised expression

“I- yea…” you were a bit flustered to be caught

Karasu laughed even more, and you just glared at him as he did so. “Sorry sorry- *wheeze* I’m fine now” he gave you a smile before reaching out his hand, “Here, let me hold your things for you.” he took the bag off your shoulders and carried it before intertwining your fingers with his, “You ready to go?”

He took you around the festival while commenting, “This year’s theme is Kites, have you flown one before?” He turn to look at you, still holding your hand

You thought for a second before responding, “When I was younger, yes. But it’s been a while.”

Karasu gave you a smug smirk, “Well, I’m basically a pro. Here, let’s try.”

He guided you to the dock selling kites before looking around. He was about to get one before realizing that it was the most popular. Then he worried about looking mediocre in front of you and decided against it, only to get it in the end because ‘it’s the best one there’.

He hoped that you didn’t see him argue with himself as he walked over to where you were looking. It was the child's section.

“Karasu look! This one’s a crow!” You showed him the kite you picked with a smile

He tried to keep in a laugh “Cute, I mean, if you like it.”

The boy paid before following you out to fly. The scenery was beautiful, kites everywhere, lanterns lighting up the festival, and the quiet chitter-chatter of the bystanders on the lower floors. And yet his eyes could only focus on you.

You unwrapped the string of your kite, standing at the edge of the wooden flooring while Karasu leaned on the edge of the railing, watching you with a smile.

As you finished setting up, you looked at him with an amused expression, “So, you gonna do yours too? Or just watch me?”

He was snapped out of his trance before turning his back against you to hide his red face and starting unwrapping his kite too

The two of you got ready to fly them, Karasu did a little countdown. “3, 2, 1!”

You both let go of your kites as you watched them soar, your’s immediately going higher than his. The two kites looked so pretty flying above the ocean water, you watched them in awe.

Karasu was a bit salty that yours was higher than his, but seeing the smile on your face made it worth it. Still, he thought he was a bit mediocre because he couldn’t show off to you.

The two of you made small talk as you watched the kites and he watched you also your kite

“You look really beautiful, you know?” Karasu suddenly blurted out, trying to keep his smile as calm as possible

You struggled to form a sentence for a second, but then whispered out a “Thank you” (his face was redder than yours LOL)

After you pulled your kite back in, the two of you set off to wander the festival a bit more. Karasu bought you some tanghulu and sparklers (those sticks you wave around?)

As the day came to an end, he offered to bring you home as it was dark out. The two of you walked hand in hand as he delivered you home.

“Thank you for joining me today, [Y/N].” he thanked you with a smile

“Of course, thank you for taking me out.” you gave him a quick kiss before heading inside your house “Safe trip home!” 

He nodded before smiling to himself, internally freaking out over the small action. This Lantern Rite was his favourite, and probably will be for many years to come.

[Art museum]

You entered the wide doors of the art exhibit, carefully surveying your surroundings, well aware that some of the “art” here cost more than your life (even if it’s just a canvas that looks like it’s been pissed on)

“My my, who knew that art could be so hot? Maybe I should pin you to a wall” you looked Reo up and down, jokingly flirting 

He turned around and frowned, before rolling his eyes with an amused smile “Hello to you too. I was just looking at this actual piece of art.” He turned back around to an empty glass on display 

“...” You looked at the piece, then back at him, “Is that an Ikea cup-”

“It’s art. Don’t think too much of it.” he took your hand and dragged you away “shh, the owner gave us-well, me- early entry tickets, that’s the whole reason why we’re here. And he’s literally watching us.” he whispered to you under his breath, bringing you to the next room.

You composed yourself and tried to act as sophisticated as Reo (though you wondered how he kept a straight face). There were a few people gathered around this piece, you wondered what could cause such an attraction. You were about to push your way through before Reo brought you around the few people instead.

Once you saw it, your eyes shot open and you tried to hold down a laugh. But that back-fired horribly and you started choking. 

Reo hits you lightly on the back, not to help you stop choking, but to tell you to compose yourself. Though he himself was having a hard time not breaking down in front of the art and all the rich people staring at them

You cleared your throat, and stood up straight (A/N: YOU TOO READER- I SEE YOU AND YOUR SHRIMP POSTURE) “Ah yes, what a wonderful piece of… art.” you scrunch your face at the art in question on display

It was a simple stone carving, not having many surfaces, giving it a geometric look. The edges were smooth, clearly being cut carefully, the piece looking much like… a ‘rocket ship’.

“The rock must be… very hard” You gave a weak smile, trying not to laugh

This time Reo was the one to break, even if it were just for a second. He quickly stifled the laugh though, but you felt a bit of pride in getting him to break.

“Hey, this rock must get wet pretty often, huh?” you nudged Reo lightly.

You were speaking fairly quietly to only be heard by him, but someone else seemed to have heard you. 

“Yes, you are quite right.” an older man approached you, “This is one of my best pieces, made from a special rock that comes from the sea. The natural wetness made it a wonderful material to work with!!” he gave a gleeful smile

“You don’t say? It looks beautiful, the shape is amazing, so much thought must’ve gone into it!” you doubled down and returned a smile, matching him in enthusiasm.

He nodded, very excited “Yes yes! Finally, a true art connoisseur! I’ll tell you what, I’ve carved a smaller version of this piece, it is available in the gift shop if you ask.” he quickly scribbled down a note and handed it to you “Just give them this and they’ll let you buy it” he gave you a quick wink before going back to assisting the other people there

You turned to Reo with a smile, and he was trying his hardest to keep a laugh in. His face turned slightly red from doing so. He let out a quiet wheeze followed by the quietest laugh. You covered your mouth and did the same, very amused at the recent interaction. It took Reo a good few minutes to recover, you had to drag him away from the room to not offend the artist.

You quickly walked past the other exhibits before reaching a small isolated locker area. Reo immediately lost it, he fell to his knees, laughing his ass off “OMG YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT LMAOOOOO” his laughs echoed through the small corridor, soon followed by yours. The two of you couldn’t believe what just happened, you were impressed with your quick thinking. After the two of you had a good laugh, you helped him off the floor “Did you want to go back to look at the other exhibits?”

“Nah not really” he brushed himself off, “Did you want to go to the gift shop and pick up your carving?”

You grinned and made your way over to the store. Reo held the door open for you as you entered, looking around. 

“Damn…” it quickly hit you that the things in here were all very expensive.

Reo walked up to the cashier with a small wave, he gestured for you to come over as well. You pulled out the slip of paper and handed it to the worker who read through it quickly and nodded before disappearing into the back.

“So, how much do you think it is?” Reo asked you while leaning on the counter 

You shrugged “I dunno, like $200?” You’ve never gone to an art museum before and it showed

Reo gave you a questioning smile “Really? Just $200?”

“Fine, how much do you think it is!?”

“Like $50k+” Reo laughed, but he seemed serious 

The worker came back out with the miniature carving, placing it carefully on the table. “That’ll be $52k” she smiled at him.

Reo smiled back before pulling out a cheque and filling it out quickly before slipping it to them

You, on the other hand, were flabbergasted. $52k for a rock?? You couldn’t even begin to comprehend that.

Reo took the bag from the worker and handed it to you, “Take good care of it okay?”

You held the item carefully, “Thank you, Reo… This is a lot tho-”

He waved it off “It’s nothing, really. Barely make a dent in my account.”

You gave him a hug and he laughed, “Is that all?”

You looked up at him questioningly. He pointed at his lips with a smirk

You rolled your eyes before leaning in and giving him a quick kiss. But before you could pull away, he held you by your waist and pulled you back in for another.

“Mm, much better.” he smiled, still not letting go of you “I’d say that was well worth $52k”

You pushed yourself off playfully, “Whatever you say, rich boy.”

Reo laughed, “Let’s get you home, love.”

Ness sat with Kaiser and his family at the table, sorting through Kaiser’s many love letters

“Wow Michael, this must be a new record” Kaiser’s mother laughed “Who knew so many people had bad taste?”

Kaiser glared at his mother “Least we know I didn’t get my pretty genetics from you.”

Ness held in a laugh as he sifted through the pile of love letters. Kaiser’s birthday was over the weekend, and today being Friday, all the fan-girls sent him mail.

“This one girl had sent me like 20…” Kaiser picked up a fat stack, all with the same name signed 

“That’s dedication…” Ness stared in awe at the stack.

But he eventually snapped out of it and continued looking through the pile

“Oh hey, this one’s for you.” Kaiser pulled out a slightly crumpled envelope (from him just shoving it into his bag) “At least it has your name on it… did you send it?” he was hesitant to believe that someone liked Ness

“No I don't think so…” Ness took the letter and inspected it carefully, it was in fact his name written on it. “Lemme read it real quick…” his small smile indicating that he was actually very excited to have a letter sent to him

Kaiser gave him a side-eye before going back to counting his own, silently jealous that someone liked Ness and not him

Ness, on the other hand, was having the time of his life. “AHHHHHHHHH WHAT IF [Y/N] SENT IT TO ME!! AHDOIFHABWIEUFBI”

He was smiling like crazy, he knew well that the handwriting, signature, and writing style was yours, he was all to familiar with it

For good measure, he pulled out a piece of your English homework and compared the two (how he got your homework? Don’t ask)

It was definitely yours, he was sure. You did have 2 classes with kaiser that day (don’t ask about that either), and you walked past them 6 times in the hallway.

At this point Ness was quietly squealing, he was so excited that you liked him back!

Kaiser silently laughed at this, not quite understanding why Ness was so happy, but also knowing full well that he may or may not be slightly(??) obsessed with you, so he didn’t bother

Ness was then day-dreaming for the next several minutes, and would even blank out occasionally for the rest of the day

“For f#ck’s sake Ness, just write back to her already…” Kaiser was getting annoyed at the heart pupils in his eyes “I swear if you’re gonna be like this on my birthday-”

“OK OK SORRY!!” Ness apologize before slipping the letter away “I’ll do later” he promised himself that he’d make it perfect, just for you :3

“No thank you, I’m alright” Otoya gently pushed the girl off his chest, the girl looked up at him with confusion 

Hiori and Karasu’s jaws dropped while Yukimiya just laughed, “See, told you. Pay up”

The two other boys grumbled as they pulled out a few coins “There’s no way he actually did that, wasn’t he making out with that girl just a few weeks ago?” Hiori questioned, it wasn’t like Otoya to reject a girl, if anything, he was usually the one making the first move. Something must be going on.

“I told you” Yukimiya collected the few coins “I swear there’s some other girl he likes, why else would he stop talking to the others?”

“Rejecting girls for another girl?” Karasu also found this really suspicious “Unlikely. That would imply that he actually isn’t a total ass. Which we know isn’t true.”

Otoya rolled his eyes “Who do you think I am? Also- if you’re gonna discuss your little ‘bets’, maybe don’t do it right in front of my locker.” he laughed, not answering their questions

Hiori and Karasu frowned, “cmon, tell ussss!!” Yukimiya nodded in agreement “I must say, I'm curious too. Who’s the lucky or… unlucky girl?”

Otoya scoffed “No one. I don’t like anyone.” he laughed “Do you really think I’d get attached to someone so easily? Only a fool would do that.”

As he said that, he opened his locker to grab his jacket, when an envelope fell out. It spun in the air before landing on the floor, face down with the signature showing.

“ ‘[Y/N]’, heart.” Karasu read, “Is that the girl?”

Otoya swiped the envelope up quickly, “You saw nothing.” he shoved it in his bag, pretending nothing happened

“[Y/N]? Do you like her!?!”

“Does she like you!?”

“Why is it signed with a heart!?”

“Is it a love letter!?”

The three boys bombarded Otoya with questions, to which he didn’t answer. “I dunno what you guys are talking about.” He laughed with a smile, but his heart was beating so fast. He was asking himself the same questions, “Does she like me? Do I like her? Is it a love letter? Why is it signed with a heart???”

“Wait [Y/N]? She’s in my chem class, I have a project with her.” Karasu remembered working on it with you

“Lucky bastard…” Otoya whispercursed with a smile under his breath, Hiori and Yuki gave him a side-eye, not knowing what he said

“Wait, doesn't she have a boyfriend-???” Karasu looked at him

“Does she?” Otoya internally panicked, there’s no way you were already taken by someone else. “That’s fine, I can work with that.” he shrugged it off

“Why would she send him a letter then?” Hiori questioned

Karasu laughed, “That was a trap, I just wanted to see if it really was her.” he gave a prideful huff “She is in my class though- I’ll ask her tomorrow.”

Otoya froze in playful betrayal, “I don’t like her. I swear”

Yuikimiya rolled his eyes “Right right.”

Otoya laughed before grabbing his jacket and bag “Whatever. I’m gonna go home now, cya tmr.”

“Make sure to read it!”

“Remember to write back!!”

“Bye lover-boy!!”

The three boys teased him about the newfound crush. Otoya only scoffed and smiled, before walking home, reading the letter on the way. 

He looked around him to make sure no one was watching, before smiling like an idiot at the confession. “Hm. Knew she’d like me.” He felt a surge of pride, “Now i’m guaranteed to win her over.” He tucked the letter away, already thinking about what to write back.

[Adding on from First/Second Encounters, SchoolAU!w/Otoya, Hiori, and Yukimyia]

You and Karasu had been passing each other notes for quite a while now, sometimes in class, or just in the hallway, whenever, really.

The two of you even went out a few times, as friends(??) of course. Eventually making your own codes together as a fun pass-time

Karasu was just eating lunch with Otoya, Hirori, and Yukimiya when you stopped by and slid him an envelope before walking off.

“oOooo, your girlfriend just gave you something~~” Otoya teased, knowing well that he liked you

Karasu just laughed, “She’s not my girlfriend.” He picked the letter up and looked at it carefully

“Not yet.” Hiori added, “You’ve been trying to confess for weeks now, but you always chicken out.”

“Yea, it’s getting kinda depressing.” Yukimiya nodded

Karasu just rolled his eyes before going back to the letter written in code. He took a bit to decipher it, reading it word for word

“What does it say?? I literally can’t read that-” Otoya squinted at the paper

“I think that’s the point…” Hiori commented, before looking back at Karasu “Looks like we lost him…”

Karasu just sat there, smiling to himself, not hearing a single word the other’s said. He was much too caught up in the fact that you had basically confessed, he was worried he mis-read it. He looked over the words again, before tucking the letter away, and covered his stupid smile with his hand, but his whole face was red.

“The words may be hard to read, but his face sure isn’t” Yukimiya laughed at Karasu’s expression “I’m guessing she confessed?”

“What? No?” Karasu tried to play it off, but he really couldn’t stop smiling.

“Awwwww, such cute love birds.” Hiori teased, “When will your relationships be this innocent, Otoya?”

The fboy only shrugged

“Back to Karasu,” Yukimiya turned to him “What are you gonna write back?”

“Don’t worry about it.” Karasu stuffed a spoonful of crappy-cafeteria food in his mouth, still somehow smiling, “You’ll see though. If I’m lucky, the next time you guys meet her, I’ll get to introduce her as my girlfriend”

“Reo, can we please take a break” Nagi whined

“Alright, we’re done anyway.” Reo took a sip of his water, finishing up their training. 

The two of them packed up, bagging their things before a small envelope fell out of Reo’s duffle.

“Hey Reo, what’s that?” Nagi pointed at the slip of paper that had fallen in a small puddle, the corner now wet

Reo looked down on it before picking it up and shaking it lightly to get the water off “Looks like another love letter.” He tossed it in a bin with a shrug 

“What if [Y/N] sent it?” Nagi said, knowing 

Reo froze for a few seconds, “What if [Y/N] sent it-” He did a 180° and shifted through the trash for the letter

He felt slightly embarrassed to be digging through garbage, but whatever. He picked the letter back up and inspected it carefully, what if you really did send it?

“Wow, what a sight… the richest boy in school is digging his hands in the trash for some letter…” Nagi mentally judged him, but shrugged it off, used to Reo’s desperation by now

Reo carefully slipped the envelope in his pocket, and turned to leave. He used to read all the love letters he got, he’d be lying if he said they didn’t boost his ego. But ever since he started crushing on you, he couldn’t bring himself to, always imagining it was you who wrote to him (until Nagi told him he looks kinda desperate so he stopped reading them all together). But surely reading this one couldn’t hurt, right?

Once he got home, he went to his room immediately. His caretakers found this a bit strange, but Reo was acting weird ever since he mentioned you, so they didn’t bat an eye

He threw his bags down and put the envelope on his desk, tilting his light to face it. It was like he was dissecting an animal.

He sat down, and opened it carefully, making sure not to touch the still wet corner. He took a few seconds to admire the kuromi theme before reading the letter.

Reo tried to keep a straight face while reading it, but his heart was beating 100x faster than before. He had to take a moment to process after he read it.

There wasn’t even a way to be sure you were the one who sent it, what if he was freaking out over nothing? He looked again at the name signed, but it was muddled out from the water. Reo cursed himself for letting it drop into the puddle.

All he could see was the first letter, and it was in fact yours. But Reo knew better than to get ahead of himself, what if sent back a letter and it wasn’t you!?

He sprung out of his chair quickly and went to go look for his parents.

“Mom! Do we have any restoration technicians?” Reo barged into the room, unaware they were in the middle of a small meeting, he gave a quick apologetic bow to the guests in the room

“Reo honey, is it urgent?” Ms. Mikage asked politely, gesturing at the clients.

“Yes. Very.” Reo nodded, 100% serious.

His mother took a moment to think before replying “There should be one in the services department, though I'm not sure if he’s what you're looking for. Ask for Mr. Deez when you get there.”

Reo bowed, “Thank you, mother.” and with that, he ran out the room and towards the Mikage office.

Usually, he’d book a chauffeur, but he didn’t have time for that, he had to get there now. 

He pushed the glass doors open and stumbled to the receptionist, “I’d like to talk to Mr. Deez from the services department-” Reo took a moment to catch his breath

“I- yessir, right away.” The receptionist quickly dialled the man up and poured Reo a glass of water.

Once the recoverist arrived, he sat down with Reo and examined the letter. “Hm, I’m not sure I can do much for you, but I might know a man who can.” he pulled out his phone and started typing, “What did you say this was? A love letter?”

“Don’t worry about that” Reo said quickly “so did you find someone who can help?”

 “Yes, though he’s a bit far.” He showed Reo the location, “This is his shop, he specializes in these things, often working with detective agencies. You can call him Mr. Nuts” 

Reo took a picture of the map and stood up, “Thank you, Mr. Deez.” Before he could blink, Reo was already running out the door. 

Reo checked the map as he ran, it’d be a 27 minute drive, there’s no way he could run faster. He stopped in his tracks before calling his chauffeur.

Once the car got there, Reo hopped in, coffee in hand. “Take me here.” he showed the man the location, and they were off.

Reo tapped his finger as they drove, getting anxious. What if they didn’t make it before he closed? What if they couldn’t help him? What if he finds out that you weren’t the one who sent it? What if-

“Mr. Mikage, we’re here.” the chauffeur parked and was about to open the door for Reo before he hopped out himself

“Thank you, wait here for me.” it was too late to turn back now, he’d already put a good few hours into this

He walked through the doors and looked around, it was a small shop, tools lying everywhere. “Hello? May I talk to Mr. Nuts?”

“Oh? A new customer? Welcome! I am Mr. Nuts, how may I help you?” an older looking man sat at a rusted table 

Reo explained the situation and handed him the letter, asking for his help.

“I see I see, let’s take a look” The man took the letter and put it under a special light

“Please handle it with care.” Reo couldn’t help but worry

The man pulled out a few tools, some napkins to dry it, and put it under a metal machine. “Here, do you see that?” He pointed at a small screen attached “There’s what you're looking for.”

On the screen showed a filtered picture of the letter, and there was your name signed. 

Reo’s eyes widened, it really was you who sent it to him! His entire face lit up, he couldn’t help but blush a little, the long chase had been worth it.

“Thank you, sir.” he took the letter back and held it tightly “For your trouble.” Reo threw a few bills down before exiting the store

The ride home felt much shorter than the ride there, but Reo couldn’t complain. He plopped down on his bed, letter still in hand. His heart was beating like never before, face still flushed.

Suddenly, a notification from his phone snapped him out,

Reo grinned, “Great idea, Nagi.”

Ness had put a bit too much effort into his letter, spending every hour of every day working on it

Kaiser had to drag him out of his room if he wanted to go anywhere

And finally came the day that Ness finished it, now it was time to deliver it to you

But he started doubting himself, and was about to turn back around to redo it, worried that it wasn’t good enough for you

But Kaiser pushed him into you, giving Ness a semi-encouraging smile (but really he was thinking smt like “cmon Ness, just get it over with…”)

Poor Ness could not stop stuttering, with every second his face grew hotter

“I- HERE.” he bowed before shoving the letter in your face and running off

He basically melted once he was out of your line of sight

“ahhhHHHHH KAISER I DID ITT. DO YOU THINK SHE THINKS IM WEIRD?? AGHARG”

“Ness, stop freaking out, it’s literally over-”

“Kaiserrrr, what if she hate’s meeeeeeee ;n; ”

You opened the letter, interested by what he’d write

“Mein Engel, I love you so so much, much more then you could ever believe, I’d do anything for you ♡ Please go out with me? I beg you, I’ll even get on my knees if you ask, please please go out with me. It’ll make me the happiest guy in the world, I’ll be so lucky if you do. I find it hard to believe you like me at all, but I promise I’ll be perfect for you ♡♡♡ Please, just one chance?”

You giggled as you put the paper away, looking forwards to hanging out w/him more

Otoya didn’t see the point in beating around the bush, so he approached you after school one day

“Hey, so you do like me, I was right!” He smirked with a smug face as he put his hands in his pockets

You hesitated, you should’ve expected that he’d be so direct and cocky. “If you’re just here to make fun of me you can go…” you mumbled, slightly embarrassed, and regretted sending the letter

He laughed “No no that’s not what i’m here for. I actually came to ask you out.” Otoya smiled, it seemed genuine, but who knows

“...Huh-?? You fr??” you were understandably skeptical, this man plays around with every girl

“Yea, 100%. I even stopped talking to other girls just for you, so you better accept.” 

“Wait you what-??”

“WHAT I’M TRYING TO SAY- is that I like you and we should go out.” He said, smiling, but his face was starting to flush

You notice this and found it quite amusing, “Alright alright, I’ll go out with you, Mr. F2ck Boy” you teased

He laughed, and gave you a quick kiss on the cheek, “Great, I’ll dm you the details” and with that, he left

Internally he was so happy, you actually agreed! He smiled to himself, looking like an idiot

Meanwhile, Karasu, Yukimiya, and Hiori watched from afar, silently laughing at him

In typical Karasu fashion, he felt the need to one up you. So he encrypted his letter as well, challenging you to decode it

He put the letter in front of you, and sat down on the other side of the table.

He had asked to meet with you, so you weren’t that surprised. You looked at the letter then back at him, “You sure you want me to read this in front of you?” you questioned

“Go ahead and try, this is the hardest one yet.” he sounded proud of himself for coming up with such a complex code

“Alright” you shrugged and picked up the paper.

You glanced through the paper, comparing the patterns and symbols. Karasu may’ve been proud, but this type of cipher was actually incredible common 

“Got it.” You looked up at him, only having stared at it for a few seconds 

Karasu’s jaw dropped “No you don’t- there’s no way you figured it out that quickly!”

You laughed “This is one of the most famous codes used in WWII, you know that right?”

“...”

You gave him an amused look, before reading his letter aloud to him “Dear [Y/N], I actually really like you too-”

“AHHIUSHEFLIUAGE;F- SHUT IT-” he stood up suddenly, embarrassed

You burst out laughing, “What’s wrong? Thought you were okay with me reading it in front of you?”

“YEA BUT NOT ALOUD-!!”

You continued to laugh, before gathering yourself as you read the letter while Karasu sat back down, burying his red face into his arms

You finished reading the letter with a smile, and tapped him on his head

He looked up at you, face still flushed, “So, whatcha say?” Karasu asked, barely louder than a whisper

“Sure, I’d love to” you responded, smiling

“Reo, you should really try to focus more…. And i’m saying that-” Nagi commented. 

Reo had been spacing out for all of practice, and would occasionally groan or cry in embarrassment. He and Nagi were dropping off his love letter earlier that day, and you had caught them in the action. Reo froze up for a few seconds, as Nagi just watched, eventually having to drag him away and run

“ahHHHH NAGII IM SO STUPID” Reo cried, falling to his knees

“Yea I know, but seriously chill out…” 

“ :((( “

“...”

You were just about to grab your things from your locker to go home when you saw Reo sliding the envelope through the slits in the door. You just watched him, slightly shocked as he continued. 

Finally he stood up and turned around, making eye contact with you. 

Reo’s eyes shot open, his mouth slightly agape. He did NOT plan for you to see this- 

You both stood there for a second, before Nagi dragged Reo away, leaving you there to process what just happened.

You shook it off, and opened you locker, then the letter

“[Y/N], I love you, thank you so much for giving me a chance. I promise I’ll be the best man for you, would you like to join me for dinner?”

Despite the actual letter being pretty short, he had a whole speech on how much he loved you, prepared for when you two went out. He had also slipped a few $100 dollar bills in there, just for good measure ;)

This always results with you arguing with him and him never show the effort to console or win your heart back. In fact, he becomes harsher toward you. At some point, he gets annoyed with the constant argument and your breakdown that he decides to end the relationship without properly explaining everything to you first.

Otoya and you where good friends. Best friends even, the two of you where side by side almost 100% of the time. Stuck witch eachother, attached to the hip.

People barely ever saw you two without the other.

Your glad otoya and you are friends. You don't know how you would've survived the first years of moving into Japan without him.

You remember quite well the first time you two met. Surprisingly, instead of turning into buddies Imidiatly, the two of you hated eachother back then

The first few months moving into Japan was weird. The city was different from your home country. The language was weird.

The thing that bothered you the most was the fact everyone looked so much like eachother.

Silky black hair. And milky white skin. It was a complete opposite of your (s/c) colored skin and your (h/c) hair color.

They also had different ways of living, the way of sitting on the ground while eating, using chopsticks. And bowing. The neighborhood was always so quiet, there where bearly any children playing in the parks near the school.

It was a complete contrast form (c/n). Where the cities where so lively. Where the children would rush to get out of school and play a match of soccer.

School seemed to be even harder in Japan. Considering the fact that you didn't know a single bit of the language. Embarrassing yourself everytime you tried to talk in theire language. And yet they'd laugh and giggle at your mistakes.

The stares, the giggles, the avoidance. It was clear. These people where different to you, but to them you where also different.

That's how you had ended up in one of the parks. Alone, playing with an old soccer ball. Putting all of your aggression into a singular kick.

It had been a few months since you've moved. Learning Japan has gotten better, but you still didn't understand a big part of the language. You had yet once again tried to befriend someone today at your new school. But the kids would avoid you like the plague.

Of course nobody wanted to be friends with the 'weird kid'. They would mock you, as if you couldn't understand they're language. While in fact you finally had learned to understand.

Kicking the ball to the wall. All you did was kick, and dribbled and kick. And play with yourself. Then you had an idea, you had seen your favorite soccer player, lavhino, do a special dribbling style. You tried to recreate it. But ending up falling over and Landing on your chin.

"You're doing it wrong"

A sudden voice was heard over the park. You turned around to see a random kid. He looked the same like everyone else in this country. But there was something a little different, Instead of black hair. He had white hair with a green streak in his hair. He had the most stupidest bowl cut you had ever seen.

"How do you know that?"

You bit back, trying to look cool. As if you didn't just land on you chin face first into the ground.

"Cuz you fell down"

He said back, crossing his arms over his chest as if he was all high and mighty. A grumble left your lips as you looked at him with an annoyed expression.

"Then why don't you try it"

You said, snaring at him. Holding out the football for him to show you how to 'actually' do it right

"Okay."

He said shrugging his shoulders. Walking over to you and grabbing the ball. He attempted to do the same move you had done earlier, but he too, fell down and landed on the ground

A laugh left your lips as you pointed at him mockingly

"See you can't do it either"

You mocked. The random kid looked at you with a glare.

"Shut up, I'm just warming up"

He said. Biting back the urge to punch

"No you shut up"

You had said. Glaring back at him. The park turned silent once again, the both of you glaring at eachother.

"I don't shut up, I grow up. And when I look at you I throw up"

The random kid had said. Standing up with the ball in hand, acting as if he just had ruined your career. While you in the other hand cringed.

"Ew, you can't even say something rude"

"Yes I can"

"Nuh uh"

"Yuh huh"

"You're so weird"

"No you're weird"

And the rest of the afternoon was spent with the two of you bickering and playing soccer trying to outshine the other. You've gotta admit, that was the most fun you had ever since you've moved.

It was getting late and the both of you needed to go home, unless you wanted to hear an earful of why you should come home on time. Then the both of them walked to there homes. Finding themselves at the same direction. That was when they both realized they're homes where pretty close by.

Actually they where even neighbors

"Wait your the one who moved here a while ago?"

"Duh, did you never see me leave my house?"

And the both of you went back to bickering. Honestly that's one thing that still hasn't changed.

Both of you whent to your doors. About to step in when the random kid had stopped you

"I'm otoya by the way"

Otoya said. Introducing himself to you.

"I'm (y/n)"

You said a smile was on your face. You had enjoyed that day, a lot. So much so the next day when it was weekend you had mustered up the courage to go to his house. And ask if he wanted to play football again.

And that was the start of you and otoya's friendship.

That little bicker match turned into a friendship. The both of you grew up from small teens to grown teenagers. Soon to be young adults.

The both of you had experienced eachothers ups and downs. The awkward phases you went through. The embarrassing moments spend together. You did it all.

You watched him grow into a rowdy teenager who likes to party. While you where practically his right hand man. Always there to assist him a pass while in a game of soccer.

Or comforting him when he got rejected by another girl he liked.

You where there to experience it all.

You where glad that the two of you had met that day.

He's your best friend. Someone he can trust and count on.

And your his best friend. Someone that can come to for help, and have a fun time with.

Your friendship was perfect as it is the way it is. You wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

You never had the courage to tell him. You knew otoya was into girls. He went from one to another. And you witnessed him having his first kiss with a girl. Witnessed him having his first date with a girl. You witnessed almost everything he did with a girl.

And yet you couldn't help but wonder. How instead of kissing the girl. He would kiss you.

Instead of going out on fun little date's with a girl. He would go with you.

It pained you to see him with another woman. Knowing that he will never reciprocate your feelings.

He's straight, and you funny enough are Inlove with your best friend.

Funny how fate has its ways.

One night otoya came home from a date he had with another girl. She had broken up with him after she knew that he had kissed another girl.

He flew into your arms, resting in your bed. You once again where there for him.

"I can't believe she broke up with me. Like I know I kissed another girl while I was dating her but I mean...it's not that bad right? C'mon woman are always so dramatic in these type of things..."

Otoya rambled on and on, you didn't pay attention as he vented his experiences on to you. How you wished you could shut him up. And say that your here. For him. You where always here for him.

"Why do you keep going from girls to girls anyways?"

You had questioned, sitting beside him on your bed. Having brought a bowl of snacks, and putting it on the nightstand next to your bed .

"I don't know? Woman are boring I guess... They always have something that I like and then the next moment they seem so boring..."

Otoya explained. You never understood why he went from girl to girl so easily. Most guys would take months to get over theire ex, and here otoya was...

"Im not boring"

You muttured out. In a haze thinking about non other than otoya himself.

"What?"

otoya said. Looking at you with a raised eyebrow, you looked at him confused back, until you realized what you had just said. Your face went red. Realizing the mistake you made

"I mean. Of course I'm not boring... Like Im better than a girl"

You tried to explain yourself, but your words only revealed the truth and truth further. Eventually you stopped talking. This had no point. Your face was beat red. And otoya looked hella confused.

Maybe it's time to tell him the truth, you thought. The room went silent otoya didn't say anything, you refused to look at him, you knew he would look at you weirdly.

"I don't think I can hide it from you any longer"

You said. Sighing, either this will got terribly or terrible pick your poison.

"Hide what? (Y/n)...what are you hiding?"

Otoya asked. Still confused, he looked so adorable. And yet you knew that he would be disgusted if you would tell him

"I've been holding it secret, because I valua our friendship otoya... Your a good friend and I don't want this to ruin our relationship"

You said. Still not looking at him. Your hands where shaking and you where scared so scared of his reaction

"(Y/n) What? Which secret?"

You finally confessed, still not looking at him. The room went silent once again. You where scared so scared he'd stop being friends with you, otoya didn't have to be your lover. Didn't have to be your friend. As long as your someone he can't trust and be with for comfort. That is enough, more than enough even.

"Dude...I kinda knew

Otoya said, his voice sounded the same as usual, no mockery, no disgust, No anger just the usual.

"What!?"

(y/n) said turning around to see otoya, he looked normal. Not mad not disgusted, just normal

"Yeah dude. I mean I could kinda tell from the stares. And the fact you kept blushing and stuttering around me at one point"

And before you could give a reaction he kissed you, full on the lips...it was sweet at first before otoya made it into a heated kiss. And here you where expecting a romantic moment.

At the end of the night otoya stayed over at your house. The both of you watched a movie while cuddling. The both of them fell asleep in eachothers arms. A smile on both of theire faces. It was weird. To be this close to your best friend. But y'know what..

For once (y/n) liked the weirdness.
