My nerves were wracking as I waited on the carriage. The road seemed longer than I remembered. “Is it the road? Or is it my heart that has been longing for him for such a long time?”
Dorian and I were neighbours and inseparable when we were little. Whenever one of us would go missing, it was assumed that they would be found in the other’s place. Dorian would never eat unless with me. He would trust me with every little secret of his. In a whole, he was too clingy and very dear to me.
Everything was neat until his grandfather sent him away to the boarding school and I was taken to Sussex to my grandmother’s house where I was trained to become a lady. My heart shattered into pieces. I missed Dorian every single day growing up and I was pretty sure he did too.
It had been ten long years. Finally, I was going back to London to meet him and I could not wait any longer.
“Lady y/n, we’ve arrived.” I jumped out of the carriage as soon as the driver announced our arrival.
Dorian was waiting outside his house to welcome me. I could not believe what I saw in front of me. The evening air blew his hair. He had grew up to become the handsomest man I had ever seen. I looked in amazement.
“Well, well, if it isn’t my dearest friend.” Dorian’s beautiful face broke into a wide smile.
My stomach twisted. Butterflies were flying like crazy to make an escape. My heavy heart started to beat up to my throat. Without a minute’s delay, I ran and put my arms around him. We both couldn’t help laughing.
So I’m re reading Picture of Dorian Gray
it's Oscar Wilde's birthday and I just recently learned some NOT OK info about him, so here's the skinny:
Throughout his adulthood, Oscar Wilde frequently groomed minors, participated in sex tourism, and died at 46 whilst in an "affair" with a 15 yo. He hired sexually trafficked minors and once reportedly "loaned" a kid to a friend for sexual purposes.
Wilde was not all wine and satire and ready wit. He was an unrepentant paedophile. While it may seem valuable to recognize his achievements, who are we to decide that Oscar wilde was a more valuable person than the boys he serially abused?

I think if movie Dorian ever met book Dorian they would be very confused because book Dorian would be like “I am very sad and also not sad and here is my favorite book in many colors and I have rocks” and movie Dorian would be like “I’m hornyyyyy and boredddddd ima go to a brothel so I don’t let the sad thoughts in”

i long to see Mike Faist play the role of Dorian Gray . I saw him for the first time in his role as Art in the movie ‘challengers’ and immediately thought “holy shit that’s literally Dorian Gray”

Every fucking person who were killed, slaughtered and raped in the name of religion, morals and what's natural.
(You are a human person made out of flesh and bones, nature runs within you, that is more natural than murder.)
Remember these people, remember that when you pass comments against a queer celebrity or a book; it will not affect the book or that person, instead it will terrorize your brother, sister, niece or nephew who might not be straight. Look around the place you live: your love, respect and recognition might be the only freedom they receive. Try to understand everything and everyone, even if you cannot, that still doesn't excuse you being disgusted by something that's different. Do not disregard them by saying that they are confused, they have thought about this more than you ever will.
Love is love.
After all, there are worse problems in this world than boys kissing boys.
