Cordova struggled against the silver restraints as best he could, fighting the paralyzing sensation of the searing pain. His body was stretched out and bound to a table. He couldn’t believe how reckless he had been, to allow a human to catch him by surprise.
The silver door opened, the human looking at the rabid vampire with a tired expression. “Don’t you guys ever sleep, all you’ve been doing is making noise since I brought you here. Aren’t you tired?”
Cordova growled in response, attempting to pull himself up off the table. The human pressed a button and the table lifted itself so the Cordova was at an incline. He leaned forward and tried to intimidate the human, “I swear, when I get out of these, I will rip your throat out and ring you dry.”
“Jeez, you don’t even want to introduce yourself first. I thought vampires were suppose to be all proper and shit. Fine I’ll start, my name is Rojan, now what’s your name?”
“Like I’d tell you, human.” Cordova growled.
Rojan sighed. “You know, being all mean and gloomy isn’t going to help your case. Not that I’m going to treat you nice or anything, but you might catch me in a good mood.” Rojan grabbed a silver knife out of the holster on his left side. “I wonder… have you ever been cut by a blade before… have you ever experienced pain in your life up until now. I doubt it.”
Cordova tensed but his defiant attitude didn’t waver. He glared down at the human, constantly looking at his neck.
“You’re probably wondering what you’re doing here. Not that it’s much of mystery, but I want to tell you a little bit about the reason why. You see, I’m sure you’ve noticed, but I’m not that young anymore. I have a family, or well, it isn’t so whole anymore. My daughter… she was taken from me… by a vampire. My wife and I, well, let’s just say we made a hobby out of our family trauma. We kidnap, torture, and kill vampires… because we don’t want anyone else’s kid to be swooped up by monsters like you. So, although you didn’t take my daughter specifically, you were going to take someone’s the night I took you. I couldn’t stand idly by.”
“You think I give a damn what you think of me human. You’re weak and pathetic…”, Cordova chuckles, “and clearly your daughter was too.”
Rojan was furious. He walked up to the struggling vampire and laid his blade on his chest. Cordova hissed and bared his teeth at the human. Rojan pushed his blade down into Cordovas chest and pulled his knife down, creating an opening that revealed his ribcage. Cordova held back a scream but couldn’t stop a tear going down his cheek. He had never felt pain like this before. He could feel his body attempting to seal the wound, but the human didn’t let up. Every time the wound closed, he would reopen it over and over… and over again. Until one time, the human decided to cut a little deeper, exposed organs made Rojan smile.
“Now this is where it gets fun.” Rojan stared at Cordovas insides like a kid on Christmas. He simply touched the tip of his blade to his liver and Cordova wailed. His body was shaking, he couldn’t describe what he was feeling, it was unnatural, unholy. Rojan laughed at his pain and moved onto his intestines. He made a long precise cut and Cordova could barely make a sound. Tears were streaming, his eyes wide, and despite healing fast, that didn’t stop the pain.
Rojan continued to play with the vampires insides, constantly reopening wounds for what felt like hours. At some point, with Cordovas head lolled to the side, Rojan decided to see how the vampire was doing. They made eye contact, only there was no defiance in Cordova anymore. With pleading eyes, he looked down at Rojan and croaked out a simple, “please…”, barely above a whisper.
“Oh poor vampire, but I was just starting to enjoy this.”
Cordova sniffles back his tears, relieved that the human took a break from cutting, even if it was just to answer him.
“Tell you what, if you tell me your name, I’ll stop for today. Deal?”
Cordovas eyes glazed at the thought of being relieved of this torture. Defiance wasn’t on his mind, at least not for now. All he wanted was to heal. “I-it’s Cordova”.
“That’s quite the name. I guess I’ll leave you alone for now. Oh, but do you mind holding onto this for me?” Rojan plunged his knife straight through the vampire. He missed the organs, but pierced through his back. Cordova cried out as his skin attempted to heal around the knife, the handle peeking out as a reminder. He stayed perfectly still, not wanting the feel the knife touch his insides. His breathing was heavy, and he couldn’t take his eyes off of the handle.
With a big smile, Rojan said, “Well then, see you tomorrow… Cordova.”

Cordova didn’t sleep, the presence of the knife in his body was unnerving. The handle sticking out acted as a reminder of how easily he could remove the anomaly if he wasn’t bound by the silver bindings that had been burning his flesh. Every time he tried to relax the knife would brush against any organs near it, causing him to stay tensed.
The silver door scratches the concrete floor. For the first time Cordova looks away from the handle and stares at Rojan. His eyes flare a bright red and he bares his teeth. Rojan sighs as he walks in with some sort of a book.
“You do realize that you don’t look all that intimidating when you’re bound, right?”
“It would be an entirely different story if I was free, you would be shaking, screaming, begging me not to kill you.”
“Well obviously, but that’s not the case now is it. Here, let me show you something.”
Rojan pulled up a chair and sat in front of Cordova. He opened to the first page of the book.
“This is like my scrapbook. Every vampire I’ve ever killed is in this book. Now you’re going to be my 25th kill.” Rojan lifts the book so Cordova can see the page. “See, I put their name, their age, how many days it took for them to ask me to kill them, and one of their fangs. Like a little momento.”
“Do you think I give a shit about your weird custom human? If anyone’s going to die here, it’s going to be you.”
“Says the vampire with a silver knife in his body.”
Rojan stands up and places the book on the seat. He walks over to Cordova who, despite knowing how useless it was, was still trying to break out of his restraints. Rojan placed a firm grip on the handle and pulled the knife out with all his strength. The wound quickly sealed, along with the one on Cordova’s back.
Cordova sighed with relief, it was the first time he had relaxed since it was placed there. Rojan grabbed a handkerchief and wiped the blood from the knife before placing it back in his holster. Rojan slightly chuckles getting the attention of Cordova.
“Sorry it’s just, I mean I thought you vampires were supposed to be like apex predators or whatever, but it’s so easy to catch you guys. I mean all I had to do was wrap a silver chain around you and kick you into a silver box. For such strong creatures, you’re not all that impressive.”
“You dare insult me with your cowardice ways human.”
“Oh please, it’s more like leveling the playing field. Besides, you can live for hundreds of years. Speaking of which, how old are you?”
“Why, so you can put it in your book? Why should I give you the satisfaction human?”
“Because if you don’t then I have a fun activity we can do today. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but do you see that circular shape in the ceiling.”
Cordova looks up and sees it. “What about it?”
“Well, that circle opens up to the sky, and it’s the hour where the sun is at its highest and hottest. Would you like to bask in the sun for a little bit?”
Cordova’s heart skips a little at the thought of burning. He’s never been touched by the sun, but he’s heard other vampires accounts and they had all claimed it was the worst pain they had felt. It was bad enough getting burned alive, but to not be able to die after the excruciating pain is horrific. He tried to keep a poker face to not play into Rojan’s threats.
“Or you could just tell me your age.”
Cordova glared, not saying a word.
“Suit yourself.”
Rojan walked past Cordova as he pulled down on a lever on the wall. The circular doorway slowly opened, exposing the bright blue sky. Cordova’s body tensed in preparation. His chest rising and falling faster as the sky became more visible.
Finally, a ray of sunlight peered through, just missing Cordova’s feet. All he could do was stare at the light as it creeped closer to him. Rojan came back into view and sat in the chair holding the book.
The sun touched Cordova’s feet and immediately got to work at burning his body to a crisp. His eyes went wide with fear and panic as it took little time for the searing pain to cause his skin to dry up and practically bubble as if he was being boiled. His screams filled the room as the table shook violently from his thrashing. His dry skin flaked off, his blood boiled, and whatever was left would be charred to a crisp leaving the lingering acrid smell of charcoal and sulfur filling his nose. The sun climbed up his body as the minutes went by. Every time Cordova thought he would get used to the sensation, an untouched area would go through all the stages of torture, causing him to yell and cry. His lower body was burned, unrecognizably melted away. He hadn’t even noticed when Rojan stood up and walked to the lever, closing the opening in the ceiling.
“As much as your screams were music to my ears, I don’t want you to get used to the worst forms of torture so early. It’ll ruin the fun of breaking you.”
Cordova was breathing loudly, he stayed perfectly still, not wanting to feel his burnt flesh sticking to the table. He could feel his body healing, but at an exponentially slower rate than ever before. He dared to look down and witnessed his blackened skin that had also fallen onto the floor. He gagged at the sight, and the smell was enough for him to wish he couldn’t breathe.
“So, did you have a change of heart, or should I leave you to the sun’s will?”
Cordova shook his head, it was hard for him to get a word out. His throat felt thick from all the crying, and strained from the screaming.
“Well then, how old are you vampire?”
Cordova cleared his throat as best he could and quietly said, “120.”
“Wow, you’re the youngest vampire I’ve caught. No wonder you were so reckless.” Rojan wrote in his scrapbook. “Well, that’s it for today. I do hope you heal up fast, tomorrows going to be a special treat.”
Rojan stood up and left the room, shutting the silver door. Cordova had a constant stream of tears flowing. The stench of his own flesh consumed his nose. It was a smell he wouldn’t forget. It was getting harder by the day to stay strong, but he was still determined to find a way to get out, to find a way to kill that human.

Cordova hadn’t slept, he was exhausted. A lack of blood didn’t benefit his situation either, and it was starting to show in his healing speed. Although his bottom half showed progress in restoring itself, it was relatively slower than it should have been. Occasionally, Cordova would look down to see the progress, and each time he was disappointed to see his melted, flaky, charred body. The smell had long dissipated, or so he thought, his nose could've easily become numb to the stench.
As much as Cordova never wanted to see that human's face again, he began to hope for a distraction from this agonizing process. Coincidently, the sound of the door scrapping the floor echoed throughout the room as if his request was fulfilled. Cordova forced himself to eye the human down, glaring and bearing his teeth as he did before, only this time was different. He relaxed his face into a confused and curious expression as he saw another figure behind Rojan. It was a woman, her hair was dark as midnight and contained by long, thick braids. She had a golden hue to her light eyes accompanied by a pale complexion.
"Hey Cordova, I said today was going to be a special treat. Meet my beautiful wife, Lilith. She will be accompanying you today while I take a break. Just a recommendation, try to stay on her good side. She's also not as social as me, so don't be surprised if she doesn't answer you. Okay, I think that's it, so good luck. Bye amor."
Rojan kissed Lilith and left her and Cordova by themselves. Lilith proceeded to walk towards the confused vampire. She stopped a couple feet in front of him and simply stared at the creature, almost observing him. She finally set her eyes on his legs. They practically sparkled at the sight of them as a small smile appeared on her face. This was unnerving to Cordova, he had remembered the other human speaking of his wife and him hurting vampires together, so he's not surprised by this reaction, but unsettled nonetheless.
Lilith stepped closer and crouched down to be eye level with Cordova's legs. She tilted her head playfully while raising her hand. She reached for the melted, charred flesh which warranted the vampire to flinch at the sudden proximity. She notably retreated her hand back for a second, only to reach back out and graze her fingers on the grotesquely mutilated legs that shivered under her. Cordova couldn't help but growl and hiss at her in an attempt to stop her from irritating his injuries, but she never faltered. Lilith continued to examine the burned flesh and as she hovered over a flaking piece of skin, she instinctively ripped it off without a second thought. The vampire groaned and she looked up to see him glaring with bright red eyes. She returned his defiant expression with an ominous smile.
Lilith stood up and walked behind Cordova, out of his view. The sound of metal clanking together behind him undoubtably made his heart rate rise, but he didn't show it. She came back in front of him with a tweezer and a scalpel.
"Don't even think about using those on me, human." He tried to sound threatening, but his sore throat only allowed for a hoarse voice to be strained out.
Lilith didn't pay any mind to the vampire as she crouched next to the melted flesh again, readying her tools. She used the tweezer to grab onto whatever flesh was peeling away, and continued with the scalpel by slicing the decaying flesh off, laying it gently on the ground. Every time she cut away a piece, Cordova would pull and tug at the restraints as he growled and hissed from the pain of his removed skin.
When she finally took a break to admire her work, Cordova took a peek at his lower half and had finally realized how much the human had cut away. He could see his tibia bone along with his actively reconstructing nerves and tissue. He even noticed an increase in speed in his healing, as if the decayed flesh was prohibiting the process. Did that woman do it on purpose? Cordova thought that couldn’t be the case. His leg closed up in no time and the rest of his lower half did what it could without the dried out skin in the way.
Lilith placed the tools in her right pocket and picked up the pieces on the floor in a delicate manner. She then walked behind Cordova once more. She came back with a broom and swept away the left over shavings. Cordova couldn’t figure out what her deal was. Did she not intend to hurt him? Was she’s putting up a front? He could never understand humans, although it’s not as if he ever bothered to try. As he was lost in thought, the sudden jolt of the table made him acutely aware of his surroundings. The table resorted to a horizontal position, forcing him to lie on his back and face the ceiling.
“My husband calls you Cordova, that is your name, isn’t it?”
The humans voice was soft, gentle, almost like she was talking to a delicate animal she didn’t want to scare away. Cordova had always had a soft spot for women, but that didn’t stop him from hurting them. “Yes… what are you planning to do with me human?” The snap of a glove echoed dramatically.
“Nothing worse than the sun, I can assure you of that.”
Not that Cordova trusted her, but he’d much rather take anything other than the sun again. The sound of a cart being pushed on the right side of the vampire could be heard. Lilith stopped next to his head as Cordova looked on curiously at the assortment of instruments laid out. He had no clue what humans used them for, they were all so foreign. “Are you going to torture me?” He couldn’t help but get the question out of the way.
Lilith rolled up in a chair with wheels and sat next to the cart. She tilted her head slightly. “What gives you that idea?”
“Well you’re not exactly letting me go, and you’re acquainted with that other human who’s already put me through pain, so call it a hunch that you want to do the same.”
“Bluntly, yes, I will. At least to you it’ll be torture, for me it’s science.”
Cordova noticed a pattern in the woman’s manner of speech. She always said things matter-of-factly. In a way it was comforting knowing exactly what he was getting into, but it creeped him out how nonchalant she was.
“My husband says you’re 120 years old. Pretty young, most vampires we’ve had, have been at least 300 years, if not older. They’ve had more experience with pain, unlike juveniles. I would like to test your pain tolerance.”
“I’m still older than you woman.”
As Cordova’s eyes focused on the circular door in the roof, a sudden jolt of electricity flowed throughout his body. His body tensed up and arched off the table. He screamed mostly from shock than the pain. It was more of the unnatural sensation that threw him off, and it felt as if his nerves were being zapped. A constant stream of electricity used his veins as currents to flow all the way to the tips of his body. It finally stopped and his body slumped back onto the table. He was breathing heavily and he quickly shot a glare at Lilith who looked at him with curious eyes.
“Did that hurt?”
Cordova tried to scare her by tugging at all his restraints in unison and exposing his fangs as his eyes glowed red. She didn’t even flinch, not even a blink, just that ominous smile.
“I’ll take that as a yes then.”
At least she was right about one thing, electricity was nowhere near the power of the sun, but if anything it felt more internal then scorching the surface did.
“Have you ever lost a nail?”
Cordova didn’t bother hiding his confused expression. Who loses nails, he wondered. Lilith grabbed pliers off the table and rolled over to Cordova’s right hand. She gripped his pointer finger and he immediately attempted to tug his hand away, but it only reminded him of the burning silver bindings he had long gotten used to. She placed the pliers on his nail, digging slightly under the bed before gripping the tip. In one swift motion, she pulled his entire nail out as if it had never been attached to him in the first place. “FFFUUCK… you biTCH.” Cordova groaned and banged the table with his head in pain and frustration.
“No need for vulgar language Cordova. You can simply say that this experiment hurt.”
In a fit of clouded rage, Cordova spat out at Lilith. “You fucking psychotic bitch, when I get out I’m gonna rip you to shreds and give you to the ravagers so they can tear you apart limb from limb and devour every piece of you till your just bones for dogs to chew on.”
There was a long pause of silence, only Cordova’s heavy breaths were heard and a low chuckle overcame them. The vampire turned his head towards Lilith to see her smiling and holding her stomach with one hand as she laughed. When she was done, she placed the nail on the tray and stood up.
“I can see why my husband gave you the sun so early. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such a truculent subject. I have an idea.”
She walks somewhere out of Cordova’s view and the table readjusted itself to be in an upright position and turned 180 degrees to the area Cordova had never been able to see. It was almost a reflection of other side, except there was an entire wall fool of tools, as well as a tables scattered with boxes and organizational systems. Lilith made her way to a switch and laid her hand on it teasingly.
“How about we give your lower half a break and focus on tanning that face of yours.”

With Lilith’s hand rested lazily on the lever, Cordova could feel his vision blur as he started to zone out. He began to feel his heart pounding as if trying to escape, his body was working overtime to compensate for the speed of his heart rate. His breath was labored as if there wasn’t enough oxygen in the world for him to breathe. He could feel the tips of his fingers tingling almost numbingly. He could have sworn that he could here his own blood circulating in his ears. His body was incredibly tense and yet he felt like his soul could leave his body at any second, if he had one that is. What’s happening to me? He had never experienced such an event, all he knew was that he wanted it to stop, but it wasn’t showing any sign of letting up. His chest was heaving and his hands shook against the silver restraints.
“Woah, no way.” Lilith looked on curiously. “You’re showing symptoms of a panic attack. I didn’t even know you could experience those. Fascinating.”
Cordova felt a his chest tighten as if a weight had been dropped on top of him, followed by a lump forming in his throat. What’s a panic attack? Am I really having one, is this normal?
“Listen, I’m not one for comforting, but maybe if I open the roof then you’ll snap out of it on your own.”
Through his wide-lens view, he saw Lilith pull the lever down enthusiastically. Almost immediately he was brought back to reality, his fight-or-flight trying to activate. He had never felt so much fear in his life, but he knew he never wanted the sun to touch even a hair on him ever again. The ceiling rumbled as the doorway to the sky was peeling itself away. He finally pushed the lump on his throat deep down and found his voice. He didn’t even think about what he was saying, it didn’t matter. “WAIT! WAIT! PLEASE! Please stop, please please please I’m begging you, please don’t let the sun in, please please, I can’t take it again, do anything you want to me, ANYTHING, just please don’t… d-don’t burn me.” Cordova continued to mutter incoherent pleas like a broken record player.
Lilith grinned from ear to ear as butterflies swarmed her stomach. She brought the lever to a middle placement to stop the ceiling from opening any further, but it didn’t retreat back. Cordova looked up at the ceiling and took a breath of relief as he laid his head back on the table.
“Oh, poor vampire. The sun frightens you so much that your own fear induces a panic attack in response to your trauma. I’d almost consider that human. But tell me, why shouldn’t I burn you? What’s going to stop me?”
Cordova lolled his forward so he could see Lilith. Her fingers danced along the lever as she leaned her back against the wall. How could I make her get away from that thing? He tried to think of what made her go over there in the first place. He remembered her faltering slightly when he cursed and threatened her, when he lashed out she seemed to want to correct his behavior. Is that it?
“Nothing to say? Well I tried.”
Lilith pushed the lever down, the opening grew wider. A ray of sunlight beamed past Cordova. His whole body shivered. “W-wait wait, stop, I-I’ll cooperate. Please stop it.” Lilith raised a brow, then leveled the lever.
“Cooperate? What makes you think I can’t force you to do what I want you to do? I mean, if you’re burnt to a crisp then that’s less restraint and struggling on you’re end which would make my job a whole lot easier, don’t you agree?”
“B-but, y-you don’t h-have to do that. I-I swear, you really don’t need to. I…” Cordova couldn’t believe he was stooping so low, so low as to apologize to a human, even begging to her put a dent in his pride, but nothing compared to the sheer force of the sun. “I’m s-sorry. Sorry for curs- c-calling you a bitch, a-a-and threatening you. I-I swear I won’t do that again, I’ll take anything you do to me w-willingly. I-I’ll answer your questions. Just please don’t do it, don’t burn me… Lilith.”
It showed on both of their faces that each of them were equally surprised by the use of her name, especially from a vampire. Lilith chuckled and sighed loudly.
“Well, how can I say no to that?”
Lilith pulled the lever up and the ceiling began to close. Any tension in Cordova’s body disappeared and he finally felt good enough to breathe. Lilith was practically skipping over to Cordova, humming amusingly. When she stopped in front of him, he could feel his chest start to tighten again.
“So, what should we get started with?”

Lilith had her arms crossed across her chest, her fingers tapping rhythmically on her bicep. Her eyes were scanning Cordova’s body top to bottom. She finally fixed her eyes to his feet and Cordova’s gaze followed.
“You know, I might have been able to help your legs heal faster by cleaning them up, but your feet are in no position to heal anytime soon. I could cut them off if you want them to heal faster.”
Cordova’s eyes widened. He was finding it harder to believe that she spoke of the act of amputation so nonchalantly. Of course he didn’t want to lose any limbs, he knew they would grow back, but who would wish to be amputated, let alone experience the pain? “N-no it’s fine, I-I can wait for them to heal.”
“Oh please, I’m providing you the mercy of amputating your limbs that have basically become ash. You won’t accept my help?”
“I-it’s not that. I-I just, um, I’ve been without bl-”, Should I say that? What good would it do to tell her I need blood? She obviously knows that and hasn’t offered. “I’m not exactly healing at the highest rate right now.”
“That’s true, you need blood to keep up with your regeneration. Either way, the dead skin has to come off somehow and I don’t have hours to just to peel it off myself.”
She turns around and walks straight to the tools, more like torture devices, and hovers her hand above them as if trying to feel for the right one. She reached to her right and grabbed a chainsaw.
“I think this one would be able to do just the trick. It’ll be able to go straight through the bone. This is definitely the most efficient way. I promise it’ll be worth it.”
Lilith crept forward, teasing the sound of the saw. Cordova’s body shivered. She stood in front of him, holding the chainsaw so that it grazed his right foot. He twitched at the cold steel and his heart rate exponentially increasing with every individual tooth of the saw that took turns touching his skin. “I-I d-don’t think tha-”.
“Didn’t you say you were going to cooperate? That I could do anything I wanted? Why are you being so defiant when you know it won’t change the outcome?”
“I-I’m just-”, scared, “-will you get it over with quickly?”
“If you don’t struggle, it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. I’ve had practice.”
Lilith places the saw firmly just above his right ankle. Cordova’s whole body tensed, his fingernails squeezing into his palms, he shut his eyes and faced away as if it would help him forget about what’s about to transpire.
“I’ll tell you what, tomorrow I’ll tell my husband to not do anything to you, so you can heal. Aaannd if you behave, then I’ll consider throwing in some pigs blood.”
Was she seriously bargaining right now? Of course I don’t want to get hurt, and pigs blood tastes like shit but it’s better than nothing. Cordova simply nodded hoping that was enough for her as he prepared himself. Lilith took that as her cue to start immediately.
The sound of the chainsaw echoed off the walls and filled Cordovas ears. The moment the chain hacked into his flesh his shut jaw was pried open by his drowned out screams. He could feel his blood splatter onto his thighs and hands. He reeled his head back as far as the table would allow. His wrists pressed into the silver restraints causing a searing pain that couldn’t compete against what he was experiencing. The chainsaw, relentless, moved passed the muscle and tendons and provided a new sensation that stopped any noise from coming out of his mouth. The chain hit his bone with a force that caused it to rattle up his right leg. Cordova swore he could feel it crack with the power of an earthquake. His foot was hanging slightly off on one side, practically doing some of the work for Lilith as it pulled on the other side. She finished but cutting off the remaining flesh. His foot hit the ground with a thud as the chainsaws visceral sound died down. Cordova hadn’t realized he was crying until he heard his own sobs, he grimaced as he inhaled sharply as if trying to keep his screams to himself.
“One more~”, Lilith said in a singly voice.
Before Cordova could mentally prepare himself, Lilith started to repeat what she had done to his left foot. Halfway through, Cordova was barely conscious, not making a single noise, eyes fluttering. His other foot dropped to the floor. Lilith placed the chainsaw down on the floor and picked his feet up like they were shoes. She walked towards the table and pulled out a waste bin dropping both into it. She wiped her hands on her coat and picked up the chainsaw as to put it back where she found it. Lilith pressed the button and the table leveled itself out horizontally. Cordova didn’t react, if anything it made it easier for him to slip into unconsciousness. Lilith made her way out, but before closing the door she turned to look at Cordova.

Cordova, although practically forced into unconsciousness, had his first rest since he had arrived. Unbeknownst to him, Rojan was sitting on a chair across from him, he didn’t wake up to the door opening. Rojan considered forcing the vampire awake, but Lilith made it clear that there shouldn’t be any pain today. Even though he agreed to that, he couldn’t believe that she was willing to give this pipsqueak pigs blood. Its probably because he’s younger.
Rojan got up and walked around Cordova to asses the injuries. Any sign that he was ever burned was gone, no sign of burnt flesh anywhere. He saw the two amputated feet and realized how quickly he was regenerating. Lilith said she cut just above the ankle, and yet I can already see the heel of both his feet. That’s fast for a vampire who hasn’t been given a consistent source of blood. Is it because he’s young or is it something else?
Cordova stirred. He tried to pull his hands up but was stopped by the restraints. His eyes felt like they were forced to stay closed, but his mind was awake. He could hear footsteps walking around him, soon stopping next to his right side.
“Hey, wake up.”
Cordova recognized Rojans voice and his head turned to his left side as if trying to avoid him. His body tensed and his hands balled into fists. Even if he could open his eyes, he didn’t want to now. He just wanted to stay asleep, nothing happened when he was asleep.
“Cordova, I’m not gonna hurt you, don’t worry. My wife already chewed me out about it. Look I have something for you.”
Cordova carefully opened his eyes as he looked towards Rojan. His eyes immediately darted to the bag of blood in hand. He could tell it wasn’t human, but it was blood. Saliva started to build up at the mere sight of it.
“Now I’m going to take the restraints on your hands off. If you don’t do anything stupid, then you can have this whole bag, got it?”
Cordova’s eyes were practically sparkling as he nodded his head. Rojan took off the first restraint. Cordova could feel his hand betray him as it immediately tried to reach out, but he found the will to stop himself. Rojan chuckled, then made his way over to the other side. He took the restrain off and Corodva couldn’t help but immediately sit up straight. He looked at his wrists, his skin was droopy and loose, pigmented with hot red. He didn’t realize how relieving it would be for the restraints to be off, he had gone numb to the pain but it felt amazing to have them off.
“Sooo, you want this right?”
Rojan shook the bag in front of Cordova. He couldn’t take it anymore. With lightning fast accuracy, Cordova stripped the bag away from Rojan before he could even think. He sunk into the bag and drained it within seconds. His breathing was erratic and his hands were shaking. Rojan looked towards Cordova’s feet and saw them regenerate within the minute. Rojan was fascinated, normally vampires weren’t effected by pigs blood and only ever healed from human blood, it was more of a way to satiate their hunger, but Cordova showed signs of healing from other factors.
“Incredible…”
Cordova was starting to calm down and soon noticed his now intact body. He felt amazing. The pigs blood didn’t taste great but it made him feel just like human blood did. He started to feel energized. Rojan must have noticed it too.
“Alright, time to go back down.”
Cordova’s eyes went wide. His hands were free and all he needed to do was free his ankles… this is a perfect opportunity. “No.” Cordova growled and shoved Rojan as hard as he could. He flew across the room until his back hit the wall. He immediately got to work on his ankles. The palms of his hands touching the silver seared his skin making him hiss in pain. He forced himself to get past the pain and managed to break the restraint on his right leg. He started to get to work on his left leg, but was stopped by Rojans voice.
“Hold still.”
Cordova looked up and saw Rojan standing next to the lever. He froze and stopped immediately. His heart started to pound out of his chest. He was so distracted with escaping that he hadn’t noticed Rojan get up.
“I heard you had a panic attack just from the mere thought of the sun, if it scares you that much then I suggest you lie back down or else I’ll leave you burning for hours.”
Cordova pulled his arms towards his chest protectively as his breathing became labored. He slightly shook his head. Rojan could see his pleading eyes making a grin appear on his face.
“Then lay the fuck back down, or so help me god.”
The vampires shivering body slowly reclined back and he laid flat on the table. He stared at the ceiling with terror, hoping that it wouldn’t move a single inch. Then Rojan appeared to his right, but he didn’t dare to look at him.
“I can’t believe you fucking broke one of the restraints. You know what we’re going to have to do right?”
Cordova finally looked at Rojan with a confused expression, one underlined with fear. Wouldn’t it have been enough to just restrain my hands again?
“We’re going to have to cut off your entire leg.”

“WHAT?”. Cordova immediately sat up, still keeping his arms close to his chest. “Y-you can’t just fuc- you can’t amputate my limbs whenever you guys want to. At least Lil- the other human had a descent reason but what you’re doing is just cruel.”
As Rojan listened to Cordova talk, he couldn’t help but notice subtle differences. He stopped himself from swearing and he was willing to say his wife’s name for a moment. Lilith always had that effect on their subjects, even people. Constantly correcting their behavior. Maybe Cordova was just more susceptible because of his age, but it was fun to watch for Rojan.
“Well if my way is just sooo cruel then do you have an idea for what I should do with your free leg?”
Cordova didn’t have one, more like he didn’t want to think of one. “well it’s not like I want to be restrained at all”, he murmured. Rojan clearly heard him as he sighed in response. Cordova just continued to stare at his feet so he wouldn’t have to look at the human.
“Look kid, ho-.”
“I’m not a kid, why do you humans keep acting like I’m not older than you?” Cordova was so confused, was it his complexion, the way he looked, the way he acted? To be fair, the two humans were certainly aged, but it’s not his fault what he looks like. Rojan ended up laughing in response.
“Alright, alright. I’ll stop calling you kid for the sake of your ego. Jeez. I mean, considering you look like you’re in your 20’s, it’s kind of hard not to. I mean, why do you think we’ve been going easy on you?”
“Easy? You call torturing me, burning me alive, cutting off my body parts, fucking with my organs EASY?”
“Well… yah. Compared to the other vampires we’ve held up that is. Usually we do everything we can nonstop for hours on end every single day and night. I mean we haven’t even gotten to one of my favorite parts of these sessions. You see I’m a sucker for eyes.”
Rojan leans towards Cordova and reaches his hand up. The vampire noticeable tries to lean back in discomfort but can only go so far. Rojan pushes some hair behind Cordova’s ear, feeling him shudder under his touch. He couldn’t get enough of the boys fear.
“I love to gauge eyes out of their sockets and put them in my collection. Sometimes, when they grow back, they shine brighter than before, as if seeing the world for the first time, and I can’t help but take them out when they look that innocent.”
Cordova finally smacked Rojans hand away. He’s so fucking creepy. Rojan simply smiled, then made his way over to the table of tools and torture devices. He quickly looked through his range of needles and settled on the 7 gauge and attached it to a syringe. He walked back towards Cordova and relished the vampires terrified expression and tense form. “W-what are you going to do with that?”
“I’m glad you asked. Well I was thinking of making a deal with you, or I guess it’s more of a deal for you. You see, your healing properties are astounding. I don’t know if it’s your age, or if there’s something about your biology that allows you to heal in different ways, aside from having to drink human blood. So, my proposal to you is that I get to take as much blood as this syringe will allow me to, and I won’t amputate your leg, in fact I’ll just leave it alone. How does that sound?”
The thought hadn’t occurred to Cordova, he knew he healed faster than everyone he knew, but he never considered it out of the ordinary. He certainly didn’t take the time to think about it now as he realized that this was the biggest needle he had ever seen. It was better than experiencing another limb getting cut off, but it was still unnerving. “F-fine.” He said reluctantly.
“Wonderful, I mean that’s the only reason I haven’t restrained you yet. I’m going to need you to stay as still as possible so that I can properly inject this into your arm, okay?”
Cordova just nodded, he just wanted it over with. Rojan grabbed his right arm and extended it slightly. He pressed his thumb down near the bend to see if the vein would reveal itself. He positioned the bevel to face up, aimed at a 15 degree angle, and without any warning pierced Cordova’s skin. The vampire clearly wanted to get away as he started to pull his arm back, he groaned and balled his hands into fists. Cordova stopped himself from moving any further as if remembering the deal. Rojan finally started to draw blood out. For the first time, Cordova chuckled under his breath. “Is this what it feels like to be drained of blood?”
“Basically, it’s not fun, and I’m only taking what I need rather than sucking you dry.”
Cordova rolled his eyes. Rojan finished filling the syringe and left to go lay it on a clean tray. The hole quickly closed in Cordova’s arm. “So is that it Doc? Am I gonna get a lollipop or something?”
“Are you cracking jokes? I swear I didn’t give you anything for you to be this relaxed. I mean I’m not complaining, I like people with a sense of humor.”
Cordova was confused about his behavior too. Maybe it was just his way of coping with his fear, or just dealing with this situation he was stuck in. “Are you calling me a person?”
“Well, yah, you’re a person, you’re just not human.”
“well I’m half human…”, Cordova whispered.
“What was that?”
“N-nothing… soo what’s gonna happen now.” Cordova was fiddling with his thumbs nervously.
“Well now it’s time to restrain your arms again.”
Cordova couldn’t help the sad expression on his face as he looked at his healed up wrists. “Do I have to be restrained?” He asked sadly.
“Yes kid, you have to be. Don’t make it harder on yourself. And don’t forget the fact that you threw me into the wall the moment you had a chance. Can’t have you doing that to my wife.”
He has a point. The vampire laid down, still holding his arms close to him. Rojan reached for Cordova’s right arm and quickly restrained it, then moved onto the left.
“Remember, I let you keep your leg, so I’d appreciate it if you didn’t do anything stupid.”
The vampires hands flinched at the burning silver. Cordova hissed in pain.
“See yah later kid.”
Rojan left with the syringe of blood and left Cordova to devise a plan.

Cordova waits long enough for him to be sure that Rojan won't be able to hear anything. He immediately uses his free foot to kick off the restraint on his other foot. At first the silver burns his heel and he has to take a break. Once his skin heals from the burns he hits the restraint one more time and it go flying across the room. He waits in silence to make sure nobody heard him. The coast is clear. He picks his lower body up and folds in half. His feet are now near his retrained wrists. It's an awkward angle, and in no way comfortable, but he manages to get a few good hits on his right restraint before it falls off the table. He takes a break and catches his breath. This time he uses his free hand to hit his left restraint once, it's practically split in two from the sheer force. Any sign of the silver burning his skin has been erased by his healing. The adrenaline is clearly keeping him motivated to keep going and to stay on his feet.
He freezes when he hears a sound come from the corner of the room. He turns his head slowly in the direction of the sound. He's pleasantly surprised by the sight of a mouse squeaking in the corner. He's clearly on edge. He gets off the table and quietly walks to the door... it's silver. Fuck. He was able to handle the small silver restraints, but even looking at this tall, purely silver door makes him feel dizzy. Cordova tries to hold the handle of the door, but immediately jumps back from the pain now lingering in his palm. How is he going to get out of here?
He looks around the room for anything that can help him. There's thick towels stained with red. He grabs them and practices holding the restraints with them. He doesn't feel anything. This could work. He walks back over to the door, taking a deep breath, Cordova reaches for the handle with the towel in hand. No pain. A smile appears on his face, he pulls the door, but immediately stops when he hears it scratch the floor. He waits for any indication that someone is coming.
Nothing. This time he pulls the door in increments of two feet until it's wide enough for him to get past without touching it. Cordova quickly steps out of the room not wanting to waste another second in there. Theres a hallway leading straight to a flight of stairs. As he walks down the barren corridor he sees the old tattered metal wall flaking, the concrete floor holding a hint of smeared red that lead into other doors found on either side.
Cordova is light on his feet until he makes it to the flight of stairs. This time, to his delight, the door at the top of the staircase is wooden. He carefully makes his way up and lays his ear against the door. He can hear something bubbling, but no voices or footsteps. Is it possible that they are both gone? He grabs the knob and turns it until the door cracks open. He peeks through. He sees a kitchen and a dining table. There's a pot on the stove actively boiling something. They're still home. He doesn't see them or hear them, where are they? Pushing the door open quietly, he steps into the kitchen. On the right there appears to be a living room and a hallway that leads to the rest of the house. No sign of them. Cordova takes a look at the curtains. There isn't anything shining through. He tugs at them to see if sunlight floods in, nothing. He peeks outside and sees the sun setting.
He jumps slightly at the sound of the pot boiling over on the stove. Then the sound of a door clicking open makes his heart jump out of his chest. He quickly gets under the dining table out of panic and didn't make a sound. Why am I hiding, I'm a vampire? He thought to himself for only a moment before seeing footsteps walk past the table and towards the kitchen, effectively reminding him why he's terrified. The pair of white heels stood by the boiling pot, Cordova had assumed Lilith was the owner.
"Rojan! Dinner is ready!" Lilith yelled, it was the first time Cordova had heard her voice so loud.
Rojan soon came down the hall in his brown combat boots, his footsteps were heavy, indicated by the creaking floor boards.
"I'm starving Lilith, everything smells so good right now." Rojan said in an eager tone.
"Well maybe you should make dinner once in a while so that you won't have to wait on me." Lilith said annoyed.
"I swear I'll cook tomorrow, I'll grill some burgers for us, okay love?"
"Fine. I suppose thats acceptable." Lilith couldn't help but smile a little.
Cordova... he was sitting as quiet as a mouse under the table unsure of what his next move should be. This wasn't the best outcome of the situation, but he had yet to be caught. He suddenly saw Lilith came over to the table and Cordova tucked his legs against his chest. She placed the pot on the table and both her and Rojan pulled their respective chairs out from under the table. Cordova quickly pushed himself as far as he could against the end chair blocking his way. The legs of Rojan and Lilith accompanying him under the table.
"You know love, I do believe I smell something divine, don't you?"
"I do believe I smell something exquisite as well."
Cordova held his breath, his heart rate increasing, his palms beginning to sweat. Why were they talking like that? Nobody moved a muscle.
"Cordova~." Rojan said in a singly voice.
Cordova's heart dropped into his stomach. His breath was shallow and his body was shaking.
"Would you be so kind as to come out so that we won't have to force you to." Rojan's voice was calm and almost lighthearted.
Cordova had hoped that they were just bluffing and were just being paranoid. They were just trying to pry a reaction out of him, but how could they know he was there? He didn't move, he held onto to the hope that they weren't being serious and that they didn't actually know he was there.
Rojan slammed his hands on the table while pushing himself off of his chair. The table shook and Cordova put his hand over his mouth as if it would help him. Rojan crouched down and looked under the table, his deadpan face accompanied by his silver eyes didn't let on a hint of mercy for the cowering vampire. Cordova hiccuped into his hand, and that triggered Rojan to give a cheshire smile.
"Cordova~."
Rojan quickly grabbed the vampires ankle and dragged him out from under the table. Cordova yelped and tried to scramble back under the table. Rojan had a firm grip. He grabbed a knife from the table and stabbed it into Cordova's leg. Silver. The vampire groaned as the utensil seared into his skin. He was pulled out again, this time he didn't move. Rojan pulled the knife out, then stepped above the vampire, crouching down closer to his shaking body.
"Poor Cordova, so close... yet so far."
Cordova pushed Rojan into the door that led to the basement. Cordova quickly got up and ran into the hallway, he could see a door at the end of it. He sprinted and quickly grabbed the door knob. Electricity flowed through his hand, up his arm, and spread like wild fire all throughout his body. His hand released the knob and he stumbled back. His body twitched from the lingering electricity. It was difficult for him to focus, but his arm reached for the door.
"COME HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Rojan seethed with anger and kicked Corodva's body into the door in front of him. "That's TWICE you've thrown me into a wall you fucking blood sucker."
Cordova was sightly winded from the impact of the door. He turned around and faced Rojan, pressing his back against the door.
"You're in for a world of hurt kid."

“You’re in for a world of hurt kid!” Rojan was seething with rage.
Cordova took a step forward, Rojan was on guard, that was until the vampire pushed all of his weight back onto the door. Cordova plummeted to the ground as the door cracked beneath him. He groaned from the impact but quickly recovered and got back on his feet before Rojan had the chance to grab him. As the vampire began to run Rojan snarled at the act of defiance... but he didn’t move, he didn’t chase after the vampire. Cordova was rightfully confused when he glanced back to see Rojan standing in the doorway, but he didn’t stop running, he didn’t stop for a long time.
It was early in the night, and Cordova covered a lot of ground. He hated to admit it, but he was lost in the woods. How far am I from home? He might’ve not been in any mortal danger, but it still wasn’t a good situation to be stuck in with his weakened state. He always remembered his parents telling him that if he followed the direction of Orion’s belt then he would always be led back home. His eyes scanned the starry night and identified the constellation with ease.
/Time/
He felt as though he had been running for miles on end, no notable progress with the endless trees. Where the hell did these humans take me? How far away is home? If his father could hear his thoughts right now, he would be called immature, weak... is this what being homesick feels like?
/Time/
Cordova ran for the entire night, still nowhere near home or even civilization. The sky’s color gradient shifting from a dark blue to a soft orange and pink hue. While he was running, he made sure to stay aware of possible shelter options, he new that a mile back from where he came there was a cave that he could rest in for the day. He ran back to that suspiciously carved out cave in the hill side. He couldn’t exactly be picky about his options. He sat down on the damp, cold ground of the stone cave. He finally takes a breath for himself and leans back against the rigid wall. What a day... couple of days I guess. Shivers travel through his body at the mere thought of what he had to endure. His father always told him to never trust a human, they are only blood bags. They catch you and the first thing they want to do to you is torture and rip you to shreds. Yet, he couldn’t help but hear his mothers voice echoing in his head to not hold hatred towards all humans... that wasn’t fair considering she was human herself. Cordova shook his head and tried to distract himself. He looked around the cave and noticed how moist the walls and the ceiling was, like it was dripping a continuous fluid that wasn’t exactly water. He couldn’t bother to care about his new environment when a wave of exhaustion hit him and he couldn’t help but let his eyes rest and his body go limp.
/Time/
Cordova woke with a start as his ears picked up the faint sound of a vehicle barging through the forest. He quickly jumped onto his feet, his adrenaline started to skyrocket at the thought of humans finding him trapped in this cave during the day. Unfortunately for him, the cave was shallow and didn’t provide hiding spots so he resorted to pressing his back against the wall. The heavy, clunky, getting closer rapidly. It stopped just outside of the cave. All too familiar thick combat boots crushed the dying leaves that lead to the cave. Cordova’s heart skipped when he saw that man’s face… Rojan.
Rojan clapped his hands as he entered the cave and stepped towards Cordova. The vampire stepped off the cave wall and took a couple steps back deeper into the cave.
“Well well, good job Cordova, you made it all the way here in one night.”
Rojan kept walking towards the nervous vampire. Corodva synched his steps with the man in front of him until his back flushed with the cave wall. Rojan took a large step forward and blocked anyway for the vampire to escape.
“What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?”
Corodva could feel his hands shake as he clenched them. Was it from anger, fear, anticipation? He stared at Rojans pure silver eyes. “H-how did you find m-me?”
Rojan laughed softly finding the question amusing. “Oh Cordova, I knew you were young but seriously? Did you never consider the possibility of me putting a tracker in you?”
Cordova’s eyes widened slightly at the implication that he had something foreign in his body. Obviously no scars were present to indicate that such a thing and been done, and it was hard for him to even grasp the thought. He carefully looked down at his body, examining himself as if it would explain anything.
“Tch Tch Tch, poor Corodva. Do you remember the last thing I said to you?”
The shaken vampire looked up with an anxious expression as he recalled the last encounter he had with the human. He tried to push himself impossibly further against the cave wall. Rojan leaned forward slightly, not providing Corodva with any personal space. He whispered in a sadistic manner.
“You’re in for a world of hurt kid.”
The vampire very noticeably sunk further down, as if trying to make himself smaller. His breathing hitched as his heart worked overtime from the lack of oxygen being supplied. As much as he wanted to run, to kick Rojan back and sprint into the trees… the radiating heat held no comfort for him. He considered possibly hurting Rojan, if he got all his strength and managed to pin him to the ground he could kill him… but he had never killed a person before, he wasn’t sure if he would even be willing to.
Rojan carefully grabbed the vampires arm and began to pull him as he made his way to the front of the cave. Corodva didn’t fight at first, paralyzed by his thoughts as if he was in a trance. That was until he was snapped back to his distressing situation when the sun inched closer, second by second. Cordova dug his heel into the ground and pulled back on Rojans iron grip. His heart pounding and a cold sweat evaporating in the heat. Rojan turned to the vampire with a look of disappointment that was shown with a menacing glare.
“I swear to god if you don’t come with me right now Cordova, I’ll carve you open and expose your organs to the sun. Do you want that?” His voice was stern and course.
The vampires eyes widened at the grotesque description. His fear was still overpowering his body and all he could think about was the pain he would experience right now, and not the pain in the foreseeable future. He shook his head frantically while still holding his ground. “R-Rojan… I-I r-really don’t want t-to go in the s-sun.”
Rojan glared intensely as the shivering vampire. “Do you think I give a shit if I walk you through this sun? I’ll drag you by the car and let the sun burn you to a crisp all the way back if I want to.”
Corodva pulled harder against the humans grip. For a human, his grip was unnaturally strong, maybe Cordova was just too out of focus to really break free, but either way he knew Rojan wouldn’t let go. The vampire had a pleading expression plastered on his face. “P-please Rojan, I-I p-promise to go back… I-I won’t resist, just please… I don’t want to get burned.”
Rojan unexpectedly pulled against Cordova, making him loose his footing and stumble forward. Rojan was now in full view of the sun, his skin reflecting the brightness. Cordova’s hand was mere inches away from the suns grasp, he couldn’t take it anymore. “PLEASE!” The terrified vampire shut his eyes bracing himself for the scorching pain… but it didn’t come. After a couple seconds he opened his eyes cautiously and saw that Rojans hand was no longer holding his arm hostage. He quickly pulled his arm back to his chest protectively.
Rojan sighed and kept his gaze sharp and calm. “Will you really come back that easily?”
Cordova quickly nodded his head a couple times praying that the human would believe him. He could hear Rojan sigh again as he turned around and walked back to his car. He got in and casually drove half way into the cave forcing Corodva to back up immensely. The vampire saw a hand gesture him to go into the vehicle. He carefully walked to the passenger seat and sat in the leather chair. The first thing on Cordova’s mind was that the windows weren’t tinted enough. The sun visor was too small. He pushed the seat back before pushing himself down into a small ball under the glove compartment, hoping it would be enough coverage. Rojan noticed the vampires attempts at avoiding the sun and as upset as he was with him he couldn’t help but chuckle from how amusing it looked. He put the car in reverse and pulled out of the cave, facing towards the direction back home. Hell.
It was a long, silent drive back.

Heyooo how be you and how be day also today I saw purple flowers from afar and was like 'ah YAYYY some hyacinths to take pics of :DD ' but they were some other purple flowers hfjfjfjfjfjroe and thank for sharing your fav whump tropes they're my most loved tropes too I used to DIE FOR knives to throats/ held at gunpoint trope I'd search far and wide for it fjcjcjjfjfjfjfj
Another question which of your oc is on your mind these days and what are your plans for them
-Friend anon
I do that too whenever I see flowers that look similar to them, lol. So I have another OC that I adore, but I haven’t shown him on this platform yet, he’s my favorite right now. For now though, I’ll introduce you to Cordova Ardelean.
He’s in my little series pleasure is pain. This might not be his final design, but we’ll see. He’s half vampire/ half human. He’s 120 years old and 5’11” in height. His father is Romanian and is a vampire, his mother is Hispanic and is human. He’s low key Bi, he just hasn’t figured it out yet 🤭.
Pleasure in pain was supposed to be a wip, even just a drabble at first, but I started to like hurting this boy too much. His story is actually on hold right now because I was planning to rewrite some of the story and make it a little better. Especially since I don’t know how I want his story to end or how he’s going to escape, if he does. He might just turn out to be one of those whumpees who doesn’t escape their captor and maybe even moves to a new one. He’s kind of like my experiment.
He might just end up being my drawing practice in whumpy scenes, too. But that’s as much as I have of him for now. Also those random self inserts are me trying to comfort him before I hurt him more.

Pleasure In Pain 🩸
A young and somewhat ignorant vampire is captured, tortured, and experimented on by sadistic humans who find joy in hurting and killing vampires. Cordova must find a way to escape Rojan and Lilith and get back home. That is, if home is any better. Rojan can be a little creepy sometimes. He kind of gives me like intimate creepy whumper vibes, but he doesn’t do anything sexual. He just gets in your personal space and loves pet names too. He thinks it’s funny to make people uncomfortable sometimes. [Specifically Vampires]
He loves reminding Cordova how much smaller he is compared to him. So you’ll find him towering over him on purpose just for the hell of it. It’s also convenient for him to carry Lilith around without any effort. He’s a pretty good cuddle partner too ;)
Some of the scars you can see in this shot are all basically from the vampires he’s hunted and caught. Although, some of the ones on his hands are from him being stupid as a kid and playing with butterfly knives. He loves a good knife.
Side note: My art style changing every other week should be a sin. [Pinterest Reference. I think it’s by Maho]
- 🪻
I’m going to call this a character sheet, even if it doesn’t seem like it, I’m calling it that :). Prepare for long text and info.
Name: Rojan Silfur
Age: 40
Height: 6’4
Weight: [Does it really matter? Maybe] 220 pounds of muscle
Eye Color: Silver
Tattoo: “Lilith” in cursive. [Wife’s name on right arm]
Scarring: Mostly from vampire hunts, but the ones on his hands are from his butterfly knives.
Sexuality: Straight
Family status:
Married: Lilith Silfur
Children: Cornelia Silfur [deceased]
Background:
Rojan is from a lower class background. Didn’t have the best childhood and his parents were never around enough to be in his life. He moved out the first chance he got when he was 18. He also met his wife in high school, so they are high school sweethearts. The military was his first “career” choice, being deployed for 5 years until he had Cornelia, and quit to raise her. Unfortunately, his daughter was killed by vampire ravagers during a late night out at her friends house. This inspired Rojan and Lilith to start a business out of capturing, torturing, experimenting on, and killing vampires. Mainly out of revenge, but was also almost like a coping mechanism for their loss. He’s been vampire hunting for 5 years up till he met Cordova.
Personality:
Rojan can be different depending on the people he’s around. Around people he doesn’t know, or just naturally has a dislike towards, he can be stern, intimidating, and even dangerous because of how skilled he is in combat and how strong he is. He has average intelligence generally, school wasn’t exactly a passion. If he likes you, or even simply respects you, he can be fiercely loyal, kind, docile, even protective. His perspective of you can also be the decision between being merciful or not. It’s only usually around Lilith, but he can definitely be immature and a goofball, even lovey dovey.
Hobbies:
Grilling/Cooking
Playing Guitar

Me when I find a new whump trope and put my characters through it immediately after. Poor Cordova. Excuse me, No. 100613. [613 came from his birthday]
They kind of gave him some drugs to help him sleep before travel because he was feeling claustrophobic and being a bit reluctant. He was shipped safely in the end.
This would probably be an AU where Rojan and Lilith are coping with the loss of their daughter and figure that getting a box boy might help them. I’m not too familiar on roles or positions for box boys, but based on the three I’ve seen the most [Domestic, Platonic, Romantic]. I think Cordova would be a mix of domestic and platonic.
If he needed any discipline, which he definitely would, Rojan would most likely be the one doing most of the punishing while Lilith is more of the carewhumper type. Cordova would definitely be a little biased towards who he feels more comfortable with, but it’s not like he has a choice in the end anyway >:)
[p.s.: realized I forgot to put holes in his box… he totally doesn’t need oxygen.]
