hi, I read your post pokeguys with affection and as an ikarishipper I really liked the headcanon about them. Want read more of your headcanons about them😍

I sort’ve wanted to expand on this, so hope you don’t mind!

When Dawn realizes that she loves Paul, she does not handle it smoothly. She panics, denies, and avoids the thought and subject entirely because how in Arceus’s name did she fall for him?

They were in a casual relationship. Paul was making his way to being Sinnoh Champion, and after her win as Top Coordinador she was getting more attention from the public.

Dawn had dated her fair share of guys before she got together with Paul, and even then, she knew she was quick to fall in love. She was always the first to give into feelings and pursue the relationship further.

When her and Paul started dating, it was an unspoken thing that it wouldn’t be serious. They both had things going on, and frankly, no one thought that they would last long. They were too different.

But now, a year into the relationship, and they were still together. They just seemed to fit; they worked on their differences and grew together, taking each day step by step. Paul opened up to her more than he did with anyone else, and Dawn was touched that he trusted her enough with his feelings. It seemed even Reggie didn’t know Paul as well as she does.

Paul may not be the most physically affectionate, but he was very observant. He gave her gifts that he knew she’d been eyeing, asked her how she was when she was having a bad day, gave good advice when she was having problems, and helped her when she needed it.

She liked when they went out on dates, how he seemed to remember things she said or did because they were important to her. How he shared his thoughts with her, because having feelings for someone and trusting them with their heart were two entirely different things.

And Dawn … Dawn loved him; from his ambition to his confidence to his dedication to reach his goal.

She loved that, and loved him — but she also knew his flaws. She knew that he would reject and pull away from anything that would take him away from his dream.

And it crushes her, knowing she wasn’t worth it. It hurts, having to bite her tongue if she feels an “I love you” bubble up.

Selfishly, Dawn keeps the realization to herself because she doesn’t want to scare him off.

So if her eyes shine brighter than normal whenever Paul wins a battle, or if her smile is wider than before when they kissed—

No one was none the wiser.

Surprisingly, Paul is the first one to say “I love you”.

It’s been two years since he and Dawn have started dating, and Paul was surprised that they lasted that long. They were too different, and Paul was shocked at how easily she slipped into his life. How easily he got used to her.

It was insane; Dawn had a smile that was as bright as her personality and eyes as expressive as her heart. Her encouragement made him believe and drove him to do better and her enthusiasm made him smile. Her sarcastic comebacks and snarky one-liners both amused him and drove him crazy. Her temper kept him on edge and her anger keeps him up for days on end.

Dawn was kind and compassionate and fierce and independent. She was confident and driven, and would stop at nothing to achieve her goal. He liked the small things about her: how she said no need to worry when there was a definite need to worry. How she was always smiling and bubbly, even if it was annoying. He even liked how she took her coffee, even though that amount of sugar she put should be illegal.

He never thought he’d fall for someone. He never even knew that these types of feelings existed.

Dawn is in his apartment after staying the night (he has no idea how that happened) making breakfast. She was humming to herself while she cooked as Paul sat at the counter and watched her.

It suddenly occurred to him as he watched her do little spins in the kitchen how much he liked this: Dawn in his kitchen, in his apartment, in his clothes as she spun around cheerfully; with her bright smile and her shining eyes and her messy blue hair.

He liked this, which was weird since Paul didn’t really like anything, but … he wanted this. Her, here.

“I love you.”

The words slip out before he even realizes it. They hang in the air, too late to take back or mull over. He says it like a realization, and it was— a realization that Dawn’s been in his life for so long and he doesn’t know what to do without her in it.

That he wants her in it.

Dawn drops the plate in pure shock. She whips around and stares at him. “What?” She laughs nervously, bending down to pick up the broken pieces of the plate. “I’m sorry, could you repeat that? Cause I could have sworn that you said—”

“You didn’t,” he interrupted. “I love you.”

Dawn dropped the broken pieces of the plate.

Paul stares back, waiting.

He was nervous, Dawn realized. His eyes were wavering and he was fighting to keep his hands still and his shoulders were tense.

Something in her gut relaxes. Then we’re both in the same boat, she thought.

A pink blush climbs its way up her face. Her eyes shine and she smiles, not taking her gaze of Paul’s.

“I love you, too,” she says, finally.

❀Iris Headcanons❀

• Drayden is Iris's adopted father, but she calls him Grandpa because he's kinda old lol

• Her outfit was based off of a Tennyo! (Japanese heavenly Maiden)

• When Drayden adopted her, he gave her the name Iris. ("Shaga" being his Japanese name it would make sense)

• Ever since she met Cynthia, Iris pushed through further to become Unova's Champion.

• She views Cynthia like an older sister.

• Iris's ethnicity is South Asian (Indian) 👀

• Before Drayden, Iris grew up in Blackthorn City, she doesn't really have parents but the people around look after her.

• She hides pokemon (if they're tiny enough!) in her hair, and sometimes her pokeballs. Her pokemon on the other hand will hide berries in her hair.

• The hardest pokemon she had to train was Hydreigon due to neglect from it's previous trainer.

• Iris got her Lapras by saving her from Pokemon Hunters. (Lapras are really rare in the Unova Region, and elsewhere too.)

• After becoming Champion, Drayden saw how competent she was and started getting her invested in politics so she could take over as the Spartan Mayor.

• Although Drayden's wealthy, he's been teaching Iris to be frugal about money.

• She's interested in Unovan mythology and some interest in Sinnoh mythology sparked for her when she met Cynthia.

• Iris has a bad habit of trying to imitate adults. She wants to act like one, but doesn't know how.

☆ (Probably knows Red and Blue well given that all three of them became champions at a young age! Prodigies y'know what I mean)

You know what I want? Culture clashes between the pokemon regions.

Someone from Unova travels to Kanto/Johto wearing a t-shirt with a big R on the chest. They get dirty looks for it and have no idea what’s going on.

A Kalosian meets someone from Sinnoh and keeps standing too close to them. The Sinnoh native keeps stepping back uncomfortably, but the Kalosian keeps stepping closer.

Someone from Johto goes to Unova and ????EVERYTHING IS SO BIG=????

A Hoennian meets up with a Kalosian and the Kalosian goes for cheek kisses while the Hoennian goes for a gentle head butt.

I can’t help it, but as soon as Ra’s found the alien artifact in Batman and the Outsiders, my first thought was “Man, that would be cool if that was a Pokéball.”

Wonder what kind of Pokémon he’d have? Wartortle is an obvious choice with the whole longevity schtick (as well as the similar “hairstyles”), but as grandiose as Ra’s is, I could just as easily see him going after Xerneas or even Arceus himself. Girantina is a logical choice, as well. So many possibilities! He’d definitely put any evil Pokémon team to shame, and might actually pose a real threat to the Pokémon world. Good luck finding a group of ten year old kids who can outsmart this guy.

In any case, if anyone ever writes a Batman/Pokémon crossover where Ra’s has a Pokémon, let me know and I’ll read it.

I did the second panel, with my own designs of Trevor and Nate (who I like to think are childhood friends, because Trevor is both Unovian/Kalosian in my headcanons.)

Headcanon that the Budew’s outside the players house in sword/shield are also their Mom’s Pokémon and when Eternatus is in the backyard they used them as a mini playground.

I have the same headcanon!! It goes with my other headcanon that pokeballs are more used for easier storage and transportation for pokémon, rather than just being for containment. That's why pokémon are shown to be able to exit their pokeballs on their own (Misty's Psyduck, Brock's Croagunk, Ash's Oshawott, most of Jessie and James' pokemon). This could also be why battling a pokémon is so important, they're seeing if you are worth going with (which is why most of Ash's pokémon still wanted to battle before being caught, even though they already bonded).

Really still surprises me how so very few trainers have tried catching Meowth and how they all failed, Meowth must be pretty strong to refuse capture every time don't you think?

It's implied (canon??) that a pokemon has to willingly be caught in a pokeball or have some sort of respect for the trainer attempting to catch them. this is why evil organizations like TR tend to just use nets and cages to catch pokemon

Meowth would have to WANT to be caught but he often sees himself as more human so he just lives free

Pokémon headcanon:

Instead of regular swear words or using the Lord’s name in vain, characters in the Pokémon use curses that feature Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. They also do this for blessings as well, or any situation where you would want to swear.

Examples:

“Arceus” : catchall curse. (“Dear Arceus” , “I swear to Arceus”)

“By Dialga, I hate changing time zones.”

Of course these curses and blessings can also vary by region.

“May Zekrom smite you where you stand” (Unova)

“Giratina’s curses be upon ye” (Sinnoh)

“May Xerneas grant you good health and long life” (Kalos)

“Rayquaza, put an end to Kyogre and Groudon’s wrath” (Hoenn, during rain season and earthquake season)

“Ho-Oh’s blessings be upon ye” (Johto)

“May Lugia watch over you” (also Johto)

Sinnohan high schooler studying for a math test: “Uxie, grant me the knowledge to ace this test. Azelf, grant me the willpower to study for this test. Mesprit, grant me any emotions other than frustration with how hard pre-calculus is.”

Liko&Roy headcanons ( NOT A SHIP )

Roy can in fact sing very very well and Liko on the other hand is dog shit at it, but she can Whistle so Roy and Fuecoco sing Liko will whistle in tone with them

The LOVE to Star gaze on the top of the ship as much as Friede tells them not to and to sleep, do they ever listen to him? No no of course they dont. They ended up accidentally falling asleep on the dake once and got sick Mollie almost killed them

Speaking of Mollie, they both call her big sis and as much as she tells them to stop they don't

Liko more often than not has nightmares, and Sprigatito tries its best to calm her down if it's really bad then it will call of Fuecoco and in turn, fuecoco will wake up Roy and he will go to help Liko (one time they had to get Friede to help, not fun :( )

Going off of the nightmares thing Liko is an insomniac and has a lot of trouble sleeping so she draws on her tablet or walks around the ship, Roy is a light sleeper and always hears her so they talk, star gaze and play 20 Questions till Liko falls a sleep ( When she was in the academy Anne would do that for her instead)

Roy is the sun while Liko is the moon

Are both very protective of each other (mostly Liko, Roy thinks she is a bit overboard)

Roy like to do-up Likos hair and he's not bad at it, he does this bc he needs something to do with this hands bc you know ADHD baby just hoping around

Liko is self-sacrificial and does not care that much about her well-being and by GOD do the volt-tackles hate that with a passion

Roy likes Z-moves while Liko likes Mega evolution

The shiny rayquaza belongs to both Liko and Roy and they share it, rayquaza loves Roy and Liko the same

Liko x Anne Headcanons ( As a ship)

As mentioned in the Liko&Roy hc Liko is an insomniac and has a hard time sleeping so Anne will talk to Liko and play 20 Questions. If that fails then she will just cuddle with Liko till she sleeps

Liko was a sketchbook with drawings of Anne, shpricatito and Osuwat. Liko thinks that Anne does not know this and has never knowtest her sketching Anne. But Liko is sort of obvious and Anne thinks it's cute

Liko was a nervous as fuck about there first date and planned everything out perfectly (Roy and Friede made fun for her for it relentlessly, Orla and Mollie thought it was cute and Murdock and Ludlow were being supportive) did things turn out as Liko planned? No, the explorers ruined everything, bit of was the most fun Anne was ever had!

They talk every day online for hours on end

Anne is one of the only people that Liko trusts with her pendant along with Roy

Anne is oblivious as hell and Roy had to tell her that Liko likes her after months of failed flirting to the point where it was making Roy mad

They like dancing but they both suck at it and always end up falling over, that was how Liko got her first kiss unironically enough ( on the cheek don't be weird there only 12)

Liko is clingy and hates it when Anne has to go to the academy but she always hides it only Mollie knows

Anne has every intention to go to Galar get an applin and give it to Liko, Liko on the other hand wants to give Anne a Pwami because she likes them a lot (and bc Liko is a helpless romantic )

Anne is the best a comforting Liko after a nightmare, she is only second best to Likos grandmother

Again Liko is a self-sacrificial baby, and Anne had a heart attack the first time she almost give herself up to the explorers. Anne almost killed Liko after that and broke down

Anne worries about Liko a LOT so she always texts her and if she does not respond within 3-4 hours then she's calling/texting Roy and if that also fails then she knows shit is up

so a while back I mentioned to @bl00diedhell​ that I believe that the eternatus we see in game is not complete. so I drew some concepts for what a complete eternatus could look like.

more info about each concept under the cut!

the first concept was me treating eternatus as a skeleton and trying to construct musculature onto it. I made it by taking a screen shot of eternatus and then drawing over it, which is why that drawing looks different from the other two. I then threw a galaxy overlay on it because why not.

the second concept I tried to make something that looked more natural than concept 1, yet was still recognizably eternatus. I ended up going with an exposed skeleton/bone armor design.

the third design was me just doing whatever I wanted to in the name of artistic licence. 

First off, I take no credit for this theory! It belongs to @tetheredavian74 , she just gave me permission to make a post about it!

Her theory is this: Rose is a time traveler.

Something horrible happened a thousand years in the future and he went back in time to make sure it could never happen by any means necessarry. That's why he had his whole speech about how the people of galar today wont matter in a millenium and talking about how he's going to change the course of history. It's also how he was able to develop such advanced technology. Plus he turns himself in afterwards. He doesnt try to run or hide or say he was in the right; his job was done.

The Pokémon fixation is creeping back to me so I made some Pokémon ocs ((and headcanons too ig))

these silly little guys are Mikao and Ranon and they’re friends, adventuring together and ((trying to)) doing their best to stay out of trouble
