I just fucking realized that the people in Icyridge are essentially Mister Riffraff Stans. They stan him so hard that they are willing to do anything for him, even going as far as keeping Louis Fanclub members out, they probably even simp for him too. (I mean who doesn't) I wonder how'd they'd treat Portia, she's technically a DoodleCo employee, an Executive even. But she's also Mister Riffraff's daughter and he deeply cares about Portia.

Yoo Portia finally has drip, after so long she finally has drip (C!Portia is just a mess) She be goin around with them wheelies, like she is so coded I love her so much so so much you won't believe me if I told you how much Also replacing her cone with a satelite is so creative and still fits her goofy asthetic

Crazy theory guys!!1! Portia from Doodle World is Steven Universe from Steven Universe. Don't believe me? They both have pink in their designs. And they even both wear blue jeans. They both try to help everyone even if they aren't qualified for it. Both get pressured from the adults around them to be just like their mom. (Adults that aren't really qualified to raise developing children) Both have dead moms. Both have negligent fathers. Both are most certainly dealing with something but keep it away from their loved ones.

Imagining that Teneson was the one having to take Portia to get new stuff like a dad would, making up for Lucas not being there, yet he sucks at that. He sucks as a dad. He sucks a dad. Teneson: Alright Portia, you ready to get some new notebooks and protractors and slacks? Portia: I want blue jeans... Teneson: You're getting SLACKS.

I feel like the reason why people ship Suzie with a lot of characters in Doodle World, such as with Portia and Quincy, is because she's the only character that's actually emotionally and mentally stable. (Long Post, Rambling) For Portia, she came from an upbringing where she lost her mom and her father ran away, any semblance of connection had been severed, disjointed or not really that well established. The only two people that she cares about is Ellen and Quincy, she is so starved for connection that she is willing to look past Quincy blatantly disregarding her and calling her annoying, for a chance to be his friend. And with Suzie, she doesn't have to try too hard of impressing her or anything. She can just be herself and hang out with her. She is so often viewed as an executive that she doesn't get to be herself, people view her as "Rebecca's daughter" or just a worse version of Rebecca. With her friends, she actually gets to be her own person, her own legacy. She gives me Steven Universe vibes by the way she has a hard time living up to her mother's shadow. Now with Quincy it's a bit different, at least for me. (Omg rare Richcandy shipper here!!1!) Quincy is a rich snobby kid at the start of the story, but as time goes on, he learns and grows. His dynamic with Suzie is one where he gets more and more comfortable of letting himself be... himself like with Portia. We know he can be kind through his actions rather than his words, and with Suzie, it brings out those aspects even more. Suzie is someone who wouldn't judge or care about status, she came from von Sweetsville after all, the hood. Which is why she's so great as an option with Quincy. (I'm a sucker for the trope of rich snob being with the poor yet sweet character, it's too good)

Looking back on it... The entirety of the Development & Research sector of DoodleCo is either unhinged, on weed, or both. First there's the Professor at the start, who has a weed turtle. Then there's Jan, the interim Head of D&R who is more than into some kinky shit. And there's Rebecca, who's depicted with weed and the most unhinged out of the Founder Trio. Which Portia takes after, she's basically her mother, but with depression and daddy issues. Yeehaw.

here’s Portia, Suzie, and Inari

TJ's such an outlier on so many of the character's usual patterns. Like no wonder he's an anomaly. Example one... TJ's the only one that's social enough to be talkin' to other people before the Key Hunt, hence why he managed to blend right in with the people of Icyridge. But the others? They can't be social or have friends to save their LIFE. Quincy? We already know his whole deal. He even says he's not a great conversationalist during the ride of the lift to Suzie's prison level. Suzie? She was bullied and treated unfairly due to her taste buds, as her dialog in Icyridge says. While she might not have been "shy" or "reserved" or "anti-social" like the two executive children, she was still unable to get any friends before the Key Hunt. Player? They're silent kid, they are constantly called "special" (Which may or may not be an allegory for autism) and yet they seem to have no friends with anyone before the key hunt began. No evidence whatsoever, they're constantly called weird for being so quiet before Icyridge. Portia? She has no one to talk to, not even Quincy, and that should be enough to tell you she doesn't talk with anyone.

I have this head canon that Zane, Erika, Quincy and Portia are all just rich privileged kids that act like siblings together. (I mean I head canon Zane, Portia and Quincy as siblings due to Ellen being their adoptive mom) (And I also head canon that Erika is Teneson's adoptive daughter with how highly he talks of her) I head canon that unlike Zane, Erika and Portia, Quincy actually doesn't like coffee. He tried his father's coffee once to "be mature" and immediately disliked it. Something about its taste just doesn't bode well with him. >Zane drinks hot coffee (specifically made in Doodle Lodge) >Erika drinks cold coffee like an iced latte or something >And Portia will drink anything as long as it's sweet Quincy just isn't like them in their like of coffee. That's why. ... Also because Alice cussed him out for ordering a "small" coffee

It's honestly so sad for Portia. We constantly hear about Rebecca's achievements and how much better she was than Portia, yet we haven't heard anything about her and her mother as a mother-daughter relationship. No line from Portia like "Oh yeah, I used to do this with my mom" or "Yeah, me and my mom did this when I was a kid" No personal experiences from Portia about her own mother. Portia probably has no sense of self worth due to the constant abuse she gets from Teneson and Cortes about being lesser than her mother. She likely views her mother's work as very high since well, they're so advanced but what if... Portia probably holds a bit of resentment towards her mother personally. Like what if due to Lucas leaving soon, Rebecca rushed her artificial runestone project and thought nothing of it, only to die. Portia never wanted to be in her mother's position yet forced into it. She holds resentment for that right? I gotta do a Rebecca analysis.

I just want to say... Portia being unable to maintain the printing machine which sometimes results in misprints. Which to some people is a bad thing, especially for DoodleCo who expect nothing but exactly what they want. But for someone like... Player, who would definitely appreciate the occasional misprints that come from the machine. And Ellen who LOVES misprints. To me, it feels like no matter how much Portia tries to uphold her mother's legacy, she'll always fall short to some people. But to other people, her shortcomings are who she is, what makes Portia herself and not her mother. She'll never BE her mother and... that's okay. While some people will only see her as Rebecca's shadow, others may just see Portia in a shining light. Like Quincy and Ellen.

Her last project that she worked on was the Artificial Runestone project if I recall. And she is in the middle of that. She's working on them as we speak, even has two working ones. Though knowing Charles or Rebecca, it'll involve probably overcoming death. I mean the Runestones are made up of dead doodles, what if they tried to make something that can use that energy to bring something back to life. Is what I'm predicting.

Doodle World Executive Headcanons!

I headcanon that Charles writes in really old cursive, like the Declaration of Independence type of cursive. I mean he is one of the founders of DoodleCo, and he's a father. And I imagine that Teneson is the only one that can read his writing, not even Rebecca and Lucas can read his writing. Teneson is the only person Charles trusts to do anything when he isn't there to do it. So, Cortés ain't getting that position lmao. Cortés is a big fan of battling and trains his Adventure Unit really hard is because he loves the attention and how much it boosts his ego. And if someone boosts his ego, he'll tolerate them just a bit more than other people. "Yami" uses his sword like a walker, because he's that old. Old geezer. Ellen likes shiny objects and has loads of shiny rocks from Portia. I mean, in canon Ellen already has like... 500 misprints 💀💀 It's clear she likes shiny things. Quincy even gives her shiny coins he has when he was a kid, and she still has them. Joseph gave Ellen a ✨Misprint✨ Louis in order to impress her and get her to like him (he really trying to be Lucas) She took the Louis because she likes misprints but she just doesn't... like Joseph 😭😭 When making Artificial Runestones, since there was no reference for how to make one, Portia decided to make the ones that needed some extra strength, like Owol, Calamander, Hypnotl. (don't ask me how tf Portia knew Ostigon existed since I have no idea)

I was just listening to some Pokémon and had this Food for Mind Rebecca's last project was her Artificial Runestone project before she ended up dying, which made me question a few things 1) 'Why did she start the project in the first place?' 2) 'What could've happened during the project that led to her demise?' But to answer these things, we need an answer for just how or why she does things. From what we know that the healing stations that DoodleCo uses is highly likely made by Rebecca. And the printing machines are definitely by her. While I may not be able to bring an answer to the second one. I have an idea for the first one. ... ... My initial theory for DoodleCo's foundation is that Rebecca wanted to help doodles and people, by giving them quick access to healing, researching more about them, helping doodles. That last part. Helping doodles Keep in Mind that Rebecca's last project involved Artificial Runestones, things that help and allow Doodles that served on Verdrok's side of the war to push beyond their limits just like the Doodles that were on Somniere's side of the war. But specifically, to weak doodles. Such as Calamander. Speaking of which, it's stated that in its Doodlepedia entry. 'Many believe that without the aid of DoodleCo, its species would not continue to exist.' Considering how much DoodleCo is described as altruistic, this likely refers to both Rebecca and Charles. Rebecca is for the doodles and Charles is for the people. I have this idea that Rebecca started the Artificial Runestone project not just to help Doodles to become better in battle, but to help the doodles with whatever problem they had. Such as helping Calamander by making it feral, aggressive, so it wouldn't be eaten anymore along with making it bigger. Or Hypnotl by helping it no longer suffer from the parasite attached to its head. And Portia is merely following in her mother's footsteps in that regard. Helping these doodles overcome their inherit weaknesses. She's trying to do what her mother couldn't, respecting her last wishes. All she wanted is to make this doodle world a bit better. ... ... ... But I doubt that Rebecca ever thought of the heavy burdens her legacy and her death would leave to those around her.
