Just how many times in s13 are they gonna say WIG?
Rebloging for the comments in the tags, I totally agree and really like how you put it @glam0urmuscles

rcg don’t let us down challenge :/
I’m watching Inception before the new episode airs tonight and was struck with the idea that
The Gang Does a Clip Show and PTSDee are linked through themes of false reality
A main detail to how time is spent while in a dream versus reality is that much more time elapses in the dream while it’s only been a fraction of that in reality. For example, in the movie, a group of people come together everyday for three or four hours in real time to spend 40 hours dreaming a shared dream.
This reminded me of the seemingly out of place moment from more recently in the show from PTSDee (s12 episode 7) when Mac is just dozing on the couch in Charlie’s apartment while Charlie and Dennis are over by the windows doing what is the focus of that scene.
And Mac is first revealed to have been sleeping when he suddenly startles himself awake from a dream and worringly asks how long he has been out sleeping.
Dennis and Charlie reply dryly, like what are you talking about, you’ve only been sleeping there for 35 seconds. And the episode continues on without any specific reason for that.
I think this is Inception/The Gang Does a Clip Show (s13 episode 7) related.

In reviewing the whole episode, the majority of the scenes are intensely dream related.
This episode is mostly a dream.
A rundown of the dreams and false reality themes, always involving Mac:
The episode begins with a fake out scene where Mac and Frank are soldiers with guns drawn going through an abandoned building and Frank ends up shooting a child who is appearing to offer them water. This causes Mac to try to revive him with cpr and at this the perspective changes to show that Mac is performing these motions on nothing in the middle of Paddy’s with him and Frank wearing virtual reality gear as Charlie and Dennis watch on from their seats at the bar. They discuss with each other how Mac and Frank have been playing in the virtual reality nonstop for days. [instance #1]
Mac later emerges from another war scene that is a surprise again to the viewer in that he wasn’t playing the game with virtual reality goggles, but was actually dreaming this time of elements of the game, combined with an emotional appearance of his father Luther; trauma involving father issues is arguably the main topic of the episode. [instance #2]
Mac gets up from bed in his and Dennis’ apartment from this dream to go see Dennis in his room, calling out to him saying that he had a dream seeing that his light is on. He opens Dennis’ door and this is the very well known scene where Dennis is practicing his stripper routine and goes to kiss Mac, but Mac wakes up from this too, shooting up in bed - The bed he, Dee, Dennis, and old black man share in Dee’s apartment. [instance #3]
Mac looks over to see that Dennis is missing from his side of the bed, seems to second guess himself and his surroundings at this point and when he goes to see Dennis doing a similar strip tease in the main room, with Dennis approaching Mac and getting very close up to nearly kiss and closing Dee’s bedroom doors instead.
This was a dream (the war scene) within a dream (waking up in his own bed in his and Dennis’ apartment and going to Dennis’ room to see him dancing and Dennis holding his face and leaning in to kiss him).
In Inception, the goal is to go deeper than ever before - To achieve three layers, which is a dream within a dream within a dream. Only two layers had been done, just as in Always Sunny. So I also think that Clip Show with have this goal as well, having a three layer fake out, a deeper layering than ever before.
Frank describes Mac (at the veteran’s support group) after this is disclosed to him over the phone in the middle of the night as “He doesn’t know what’s real anymore!”
Now the scene that came to mind while watching the movie, Mac on Charlie’s couch. The scene opens as Luther looms over Mac as he’s sleeping in bed with the others at Dee’s. As he attempts to kill him after he wakes up to see him standing there instead of saying he loves him, Mac wakes up in a panic from sleeping on Charlie’s couch. He worriedly asks how long he’s been asleep there and Charlie says “You got here five minutes ago and have been asleep for like thirty-five seconds.” [instance #4] Mac soon falls asleep here again.
The final dream revealed is right after this, where Frank and the stripper dad appear to be playing the game in virtual reality, but that is shown to actually be Frank’s dream as Mac wakes him up to go see the strip show. Mac explains how he and the stripper dad finished the game without him after he fell asleep and how Mac brought him there to the back office, because he wanted him to get some sleep after he felt better after finally sleeping for 10 hours. [instance #5]
Could this show be so well thought out ahead of time that Mac’s ability to dream in layers to incorporate themes he and the gang are struggling with will be used as a way to travel back to past episodes to create, and stick with, new timelines?
PTSDee was the first episode after Hero or Hate Crime, the first episode after Mac permanently comes out to be comfortable with being gay. The main theme is father issues (Mac dreaming of wanting Luther’s love, Charlie and Dennis analyzing how Charlie grew up without a dad, Frank, who is Charlie’s real father, dreaming about telling how he loves ghouls, just as Charlie is known for, Dennis exploiting different facets of ‘daddy issues’ for his stripper persona with Charlie as more and more his son, going on to have a loving game of catch with him be their strip show, and Dee manipulating a father to do an explicit lap dance for his daughter).
Of the final three episodes of that season, s12 episode 8 The Gang Tends Bar and s12 episode 10 Dennis’ Double Life are infamous for Mac and Dennis analysis and feeling secondhand pain at seeing both their sadness and emotional frustration at what decisions are made where situations could have been different if certain opportunities were seized rather than things being left unsaid or abandoned.
This season is trending towards delving deeper into the characters, and there’s a lot loaded in the chamber ready to play with if they’re altering reality.
I still have my tabs up from trying to figure out which song it might be from before the season began ahaha, yeah I’ve been confused where the dancing queen expectation first came from
guys. mac in “mac finds his pride” will dance some ballet sequence to sigur rós it has been confirmed at the script reading at TCA18

ngl im a sadist watching macdennis shippers discussing thousands of theories on every upcoming episode that will take further or finally confirm macdennis and then it doesnt happen

Mac Finds His Pride meanings:
1. Mac is more open and prouder than ever to be gay
2. Mac discovers and joins an lgbt group, “his pride” referring to a collection of like-minded people
AND/OR
3. Mac is able to be proud of Dennis finally being open about himself and his emotions with him
Mac obtains what is his pride (which is a healthier Dennis) and can be happy at his loved one’s personal achievement, knowing that he had a part in him making that progress and getting to be there for him for it.

Dennis is Mac’s pride.
Mac finds Dennis.
(Mac is able to see Dennis and discover parts of him that have been concealed because of what happens)
Additionally, Mac finding “his pride” doesn’t have to mean only his own (as he already seems comfortable with being totally open with his sexuality, though if it’s true that he still has insecurities that make him reluctant to do certian things then that would be addressed) in that Mac could “find his pride,” Dennis’ pride.
Mac also seems proudest of being gay and most comfortable with it when it’s in relation to Dennis.

this is the sunny liberals want :/

Or Luther actually could be nice and some idiotic misunderstanding on the gang’s part ruins it, like how he really did want to take Mac to the Hall of Fame, not kill him (at that point)

it took mac so much courage to come out to his friends and now hes gonna come out to his asshole dad who will either not give a shit or be mean to him
Love this analysis of what’s to come with what info we’ve been given!
We also know that part of the scene during Mac’s dance will be similar to the classic ending of the movie Sullivan’s Travels, which to make a parallel to, especially in that episode, makes a statement about Always Sunny’s layered goals and the purpose of what topics and situations they’ve chosen to involve in the show, while categorized as a comedy. Both hold serious notions in each hilarious absurdity, and demonstrate that the best way to aid in resolution of actual hardship is through an element of comedy.

It’s also self-referential in a way, in that rcg successfully pursued their dreams of acting and creating their own show about people trying to pursue their own dreams (originally in the plot they were all aspiring actors - It’s Always Sunny on Tv).
Sullivan’s Travels is one of the most highly acclaimed movies about movies, and Always Sunny is one of the most high quality shows about other shows (highlighting and subverting known cliches and scenarios of established popular fiction) in order to make self-aware statements on negative behavior/societal dynamics.

these are the three scenes from the official season trailer that we still haven’t seen, i think. all of these look to be from mac finds his pride, with the possible exception of the last one (frank has no injury/different outfit) except why would they be in the apartment still in the gang wins the big game? also, the trailer for gang wins the big game contained almost exclusively clips from charlie’s home alone, so it’s safe to say we’re pretty much going in blind and there are reasons rcg doesn’t want to reveal literally anything about the ep before it airs.
we have slightly more information for mac finds his pride, based on interviews, the official trailer, and screenings. we know mac is going to come out to luther via interpretive dance to a sigur ros song, we know it won’t go well, and we know frank will try to find mac a boyfriend. looks to me like frank is showing off cricket to dee as an option – god, just look at what cricket’s wearing. we all know frank is into some kinky shit and has in all likelihood worn something similar before & he’s probably trying to make him seem sexy and viable for mac. i’m just saying, if cricket’s being presented as an option for mac in the same episode that mac tries to get closer to luther, that’s two people off the machelor list right there. correct me if i’m wrong, but i don’t think the mcpoyles have been in this season yet, and they’re, like, staple side characters – i’m pretty sure i remember rcg saying, like, “it’s not a season of sunny if it doesn’t have the waitress, artemis, and the mcpoyles” so it’d make sense to put them in the finale, especially seeing as they’re fan favorites. another machelor person crossed off. frank will probably use a mcpoyle (liam) & cricket, possibly among others, to be mac’s boyfriend (seeing as the gang is on decent terms w about five people and the mcpoyles/cricket are two that have been openly gay in the past, for one reason or another), and push mac to come out to and bond with luther. none of this will work out. none of them will fill mac’s “hole”, literally or emotionally, as the machelor said. and who did mac end up choosing in the machelor? dennis.
i’m not saying the machelor prophecy but uh! the machelor prophecy! fingers crossed lads
The Blood of Youth sequel predictions and analysis
To preface this, I have not read the novel and am going mainly based on my knowledge of season one. Thus, there are spoilers at least for season one (and possibly season two, if my suspicions are correct).
This will probably be a bit unhinged and won’t focus on the main cast outside of the parallels there may be between them and the characters that I’m focusing on. The characters I’ve selected are the ones that I suspect of playing a larger role in the second season.
1. Marquis Lanyue

If he isn’t revealed to be a villain, I’ll be shocked. The way his supposed lack of ambition is pointed out numerous times is remarkably suspicious. He has a big scary sword that was hyped up but barely used. He outright threatens one nephew, only helps another because he decided he wants to protect the healer taking care of him, and is pretty antagonistic in his internal dialogue towards the other nephew. There is definitely something weird going on between him and Prince Chi early on that seemed to fizzle out at some point, right around when Marquis Lanyue started helping out his other nephews. Anyways, this might be a crazy guess, but I kinda wonder if he’s going to work with Ye Ya the Night Crow to reanimate Prince Chi (at least, I think the Night Crow is still alive, unless I missed something). As a less crazy guess, I think he’ll be the main or major villain.
2. Mu Chunfeng

He has some interesting parallels to Marquis Lanyue that may become more prominent in the next season. Both characters are defined by their lack of ambition, but in Mu Chunfeng’s case, it seems more genuine. He actively goes on a quest to make sure his older brother can inherit the responsibility of leading the wealthy Mu family, which otherwise wouldn’t happen due to the older brother’s implied medical condition that renders him unable to produce heirs. This shows Mu Chunfeng’s disinterest in seizing power rather than the telling that accompanies the question of whether Marquis Lanyue is ambitious. Both Marquis Lanyue and Mu Chunfeng form an attachment to the healer Hua Jin, albeit of differing natures (father-daughter vs student-master). Mu Chunfeng, like Marquis Lanyue, also has a powerful sword that is hyped up but barely used. It should be noted that Emperor Mingde, who isn’t known for his ability to trust the right people, directly accused Mu Chunfeng of having ulterior motives. Anyways, my more measured prediction is that Mu Chunfeng’s older brother will die. For a more intense prediction, I think Hua Jin will end up dying, likely by accident, culminating in a battle between Mu Chunfeng and Marquis Lanyue.
3. Xiao Chong

The main thing with him is that it’s easy to forget that he’s very much a player of the game of thrones, so to speak. With all that Xiao Se does to earn his trust later in the show, it can distract from how Xiao Chong was making alliances with Wushuang City and how he was able to safely waltz in and out of a conversation with the fearsome Dark River. Even now that he’s risen to the throne, Xiao Chong will likely continue pulling strings. The point of the first season was that Xiao Se wouldn’t make a good emperor, but I do wonder if his arc in the second season will put him into conflict with Xiao Chong.
4. Bo Yong

This one is a bit of a stretch, I admit. His actor was one of the first I saw sharing the news about the sequel, but even before that I had some suspicions about his significance. In the scene where Jade Deity hides Jin Yan from the Director, he is notably absent. Could he have ratted Jade Deity out to the Director? He seems to have been involved in the plot to sneak Wuxin into the palace, which the Director appears to have known about. Anyways, given the events of the first season, the Five Eunuchs need their ranks replaced. Ling Jun and Bo Yong seem to be the most likely candidates, and will likely be involved in any palace drama.
5. Jin Yan

Honestly, I’m terrified for Jin Yan’s safety. Xiao Se and Jade Deity kinda have mirror arcs. Jade Deity longs for the Martial Arts World, and Xiao Se validates that. Xiao Se needs to learn what loyalty to his friends means, and Jade Deity shows him that. This, I think, is the reason Jin Yan needed to survive the first season. However, hints were dropped throughout that key episode that he’s done far worse things than some fun treason, and I have my doubts that the plot will continue to be so merciful to him. If he does die, the most heartbreaking and likely possibility is that it will be by Jade Deity’s own sword, as he is currently responsible for Jin Yan’s actions. If anyone else kills Jin Yan, that sword would definitely get covered in vengeful blood—given how many people Jade Deity has already lost, losing Jin Yan would surely cause him to snap. Less likely but still tragic, perhaps Jade Deity dies protecting him or has the injury Jin Xuan gave him act up, in which case Jin Yan may go mad with grief. Or maybe they travel together and live happily ever after… which could actually fit Jin Yan’s arc. He initially lacks meaningful connections, where he isn’t being manipulated/used. Jade Deity counters that as risking everything to protect Jin Yan. It is possible that Jin Yan could have a positive arc where he turns his greed towards building genuine relationships.
Well, it was certainly fun organizing my thoughts about parallels between the characters and exploring ideas related to the sequel. I’ve been resisting thinking of the future of The Blood of Youth for so long, but the announcement of season two has opened the floodgates to some surprisingly clear water.
I JUST HAD A FLASH IN MIND
SO, YOU KNOW HOW HAZBIN HOTEL WILL IDEALLY HAVE 8 SEASONS, RIGHT?!
WHAT IF THE NEXT 7 ARE BASED ON CHARLIE'S GROWTH THROUGH EMBODYING THE GOOD PARTS OF THE SINS???
LIKE, MAYBE IN THE WRATH SEASON SHE IS GONNA KILL VALENTINO TO DEFEND ANGEL
IN THE LUST ONE SHE MARRIES VAGGIE
IN THE GLUTTONY ONE SHE... okay I don't actually know
IN THE SLOTH ONE SHE LEARNS TO CALM THE FUCK DOWN (SHE NEEDS IT TBH)
IN THE ENVY ONE SHE LOOKS UP TO SOMEONE WHO IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF LEADERSHIP (POSSIBLY ROSIE OR LILITH IF SHE GETS TO BE AN ACTUAL GOOD PERSON)
IN THE GREED ONE I HAVE NO IDEA
IN THE PRIDE ONE (THE LAST I SUPPOSE) SHE ACCEPTS HER ROLE AS PRINCESS OF HELL AND MAKES SURE EVERYONE RESPECTS HER BY SHOWING HOW CONFIDENT SHE CAN BE AND DOING SOMETHING BIG LIKE KILLING THE RADIO DEMON WHO BETRAYED HER
OR MAYBE SHE JUST GOES DOWNHILL LOL BUT I DON'T THINK VIV WANTS TO TAKE THAT ROUTE
"BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FIRST?" I HEAR THE LITTLE GREMLIN IN THE BACK SAY!
WELL
WE DO NEED AN INTRODUCTION TO CHARLIE'S CHARACTER, DON'T WE? OR MAYBE THIS IS THE ENVY ONE SINCE SHE KINDA HAD ROSIE AS A ROLE MODEL IN EPISODE 7 AND THE LAST ONE WOULD BE THE EPILOGUE WITH A BIG BATTLE BETWEEN THE VEES/HEAVEN/GOD/LILITH/ROO/ALASTOR AND OUR HEROES OR GETTING SOMEONE IN HEAVEN (ANGEL DUST???)

Some of these are the same but here’s mine lol
A few of these are just me projecting things that happen in my somewhere else au (school but a cult, Annabelle ruins everything, and Gertrude never becoming an archivist)
Some clarification for the “more spiral avatars” one. There’s only really two mentioned in Magnus, and only one of them had a major role.

I saw someone else do this, my predictions for the magnus protocol bingo card. This was really hard lol. Kinda wanted to do predictions on statements and such but it’s really difficult coming up with ideas.
The quick template I made:

Best list of predictions I’ve seen for Ep IX!
12 Things that are definitely 100% confirmed for Star Wars, Episode IX: 1.) Stars! 2.) War! 3.) Lightsaber battles! 4.) Epic classical music! 5.) Big ass space ships! 6.) Small space fighters! 7.) dang we got ourselves a genuine oracle of delphi over here :O
Zavier is so fucking edgy. Like you'll see him brooding atop buildings such as the Academy building or the DoodleCo building in the Oasis. He's trying so hard to be edgy and serious, yet he's trying too hard so it's just him being edgy. Lone wolf kinda guy. It's so funny how he'll try to be all cool and serious. Imagine in Icyridge Part 2, once Suzie meets Zavier, she immediately calls him out on how edgy he's being. Like if girl can read Quincy like a book, then Suzie can read Zavier like a cover. Because that's what Zavier is, a cover for the Quincy underneath.
Tumblr, I have a prediction, What if for Icyridge Part 2... We get a fight with Zavier, but instead of Zavier facing Player, we get Quincy to face Zavier Like Quincy mentions so much on how he'll help with a battle. "One day, I'll help with a battle." Why not against Zavier? It makes sense and it'd be hype as fuck. Imagine we get to play as Quincy for that battle, kinda like how we play as Portia for that one cut away for the Oasis. That'd be sick. And it would really show how much Quincy has changed for the better. Because Zavier is someone who hasn't changed, someone who remains spoiled and uncaring, even lashing out to others around him. Quincy has changed for the better, he's grown more mature and chill, he's gotten way stronger than Zavier just by spending time with Player and TJ. With how many hints there are towards Zavier's eventual arrival with foreshadowing from Quincy and the major foreshadowing with Suzie. I just want Quincy and Zavier to face off. Just want to see the two boys fight, y'know? Because if Player's going to throw hands with TJ, Quincy might as well beat himself up, literally.
