Oh, another good one. I already linked my silverusso playlist. As someone who never outgrew their emo phase, I would say it's more that I have bands that I associate with ships.
For some reason I always associate Taking Back Sunday with teen Lawrusso. Brand New as well. The whole long island scene at the time.
I really really need the Ra'sTim baby to be the antichrist if only because it's funny.
Ra's, an heretic. Tim, an atheist. And their baby is the incarnation of the eternal fight between good and evil meant to end it all.
Tim and Ra's can't believe it. Tim thinks their baby (Anthony) is too adorable as to be the antichrist! Although the fact that his baby spits fire, has fangs and manipulates everything around him might not be so normal.
Ra's? Ra's went to visit Lucifer himself and asked if he had screwed his spouse. Lucifer laughed, and said "It was only written the antichrist would be born from a devil and his spouse. They never specified which devil."
In the end, Ra's and Tim just embrace that Anthony might bring the world to its destruction. Or maybe he will calm down and just be Ra's 2.0, except he has cool magic and Tim's eyes.
It's adorable tho. Anthony is a mamma's boy, and he will stop all evil he's doing whenever Tim is close, raising his little chubby hands and begging to be carried. When Tim sings him to sleep, Anthony becomes a truly angelic baby.
Ubu, in the other hand, isn't paid enough for this.

Estimated audience, I (immortal male) am dating a lovely young man (23). We are exquisitely infatuated with each other, and we shall marry next spring on my palace during a full moon as tradition dictates.
Nevertheless, it seems our families despise our engagement. It offends me when others dare to imply we fell in love to spite our families, as if we hadn't crushed into each other under the rain and suddenly realized what was missing in our lives.
This is, my estimated audience, why I come here to you and ask: "Is it incest to marry the adoptive child of your daughter's ex boyfriend?
Is it perhaps uncomfortable if my fiancee happens to be the biological son of said ex boyfriend's new wife (my grandson's stepmother?)?

There's something so peculiar in this phenomenon where the people writing Ra's al Ghul's children decide to justify their characters by ruining Ra's' character and everything he meant. He has gone from a man trying to save mother nature to a pure, awful abuser. From a man who loved his wife so much he can't even think of remarrying to a man who killed his wife. He has been made a mockery of what he was, a racist caricature.
And no one cares, of course. They want their favs justified, so go ahead! Destroy Ra's! Who cares about the old man? Let him rot.
This is so... Hilarious. It's depressingly ironic. The fandom who adores Ra's' children and the lore that was his and his alone will celebrate the ruin of his character. And then there's this small, almost tiny fandom: Ra'sTim fandom.
And only in Ra'sTim fandom will you find Ra's being treated as an individual. Only there people care enough about Ra's as to acknowledge his forgotten stories. Only with Tim, Ra's gets an spotlight for him. A man who loves. A man who cares. A man who is trying to save the world.
You won't find "gen" fics where Ra's has some depth to his character. He is nothing but a piece to prop up others and ships, humiliated and turned into something he isn't. But with Tim? The most exquisite parts of Ra's blossom: Once again a man with freedom, with choices, who has his own emotions and ideas.
It's quite poetic, perhaps. In a way Tim truly manages to save Ra's, even if it's only here, in a tiny side of the internet's words, where few people remember who Ra's used to be, and love him for that, and dedicate their love with stories where he gets to be himself.
DC might never show respect for Ra's again, and yet, in this corner of the vast web, there's people who remember. People who give life to the old, lovely Ra's that used to fight for mother nature and who loved so strong it ruined him.
What a strange yet wonderful event.

It's an early night, all bats outside in patrol (a privilege Tim lost ever since his pack decided he was to be a mother), Alfred busy in the kitchen. Of course Ra's would appear, that arrogant smile of his being the closest thing to bring a feeling to Tim's body.
It's - nothing.
As always, Ra's has been waiting in the shadows, perhaps even amused at the bats' game. Tim can tell that Ra's is satisfied, probably even overjoyed at his past words becoming true.
Fourteen months ago, Ra's and Tim had seen each other for the last time. And Ra's had laughed cruelly and coldly, saying that Tim wouldn't find happiness in that ridiculous pack of his nor in playing mother for them. But Tim was a bat, and he couldn't just run away with a villain. So, he had pretended not to listen.
Now they are here, with Ra's chuckling at the view of Tim's failed motherhood.
"I could fix this," Ra's proposes, a familiar warm hand cupping Tim's face, managing to make the omega feel, "If you come with me."
Tim looks at the baby he-feels-nothing-for sleeping peacefully. They don't even know their mother hates them.
"... Okay," Tim gives up. After all, he hasn't been a real mother. At least as an orphan the baby will hate Tim less.
"Good," Ra's purrs, carrying Tim off the floor, walking to the balcony & jumping away from the manor.
Tim knows it's wrong. But he can't bring himself to care.

I also didn't recommend stories coming from - let's say anti fandom, that mistreats Ra's in order to prop up another ship or even as a mere racist caricature.

Ra's raises an eyebrow, never stopping his work and signing paper after paper. Ra's could send the Batman's child to a dungeon, that's true, but the child is an omega, and Ra's doesn't feel like being cruel to Timothy. That doesn't mean he finds him any less irritating each time they meet.
"Tired from what, exactly?" Ra's asks, not really interested.
"From trying to get my parents to break up," Tim points, teenager sarcasm on his tongue, "Dad isn't leaving my mom. You know that. Why let her do all of this?"
Ra's stops his work this time, looking at the boy that plays in the carpet. His blue eyes are cold, Gotham-like.
"... She wants him," Ra's declares, although the question has hit on his pride. He is aware this has become - ridiculous.
"Why not get your heir in the traditional way?" Tim wonders, getting up and walking towards Ra's with the kitten on his arms, "Or are you unable to get it up?"
Ra's chokes. Not even 800 years of life prepared him to have this omega-child saying such inappropriate words
"Excuse me?"
"You'd just have more children. You know, get it up and breed some omegas. Aren't alphas supposed to be horny dogs or something?"
Ra's' eye twitches.
"If you don't close your mouth," Ra's growls, taking Tim by the arm and pushing him against the desk, "I will rip your clothes and breed you, Timothy."
The kitten jumps. Tim smiles.
"Sure. Why not? But you'll need to take some viagra."
Before Ra's allows himself to become a beast and teach the omega some manners, Batman breaks the window. Always the hero.
Hours later, Ra's finds himself frowning, thinking of Timothy Wayne swollen in pregnancy, face ruined as Ra's' cock fucks his pretty mouth.
Maybe Timothy is right. That sounds like a solution.
