Being young is kind of a freedom but also like a burden cuz u literally can excuse ur mistakes by saying I’m young and idk better and fuck up as much as you want but at times the thought of reaping what you sow .. and the concept of not knowing won’t save you from being held accountable is also scary and also the thought of how you are being perceived by older people around you and how much they can read into you cuz they most probably have been there and they are reminded of their younger selves is kinda unsettling … like the thought of someone observing you go through the day and thinking “reminds me of when I was young “ just kinda feels off and in a way makes me feel like my every day life and how I behave is not a unique experience… but again it’s comforting too at times cuz it tells me this too shall pass

The fact that I was binge watching SATC for the first time and it got to Carrie cheating on Aidan with Big I just fully dropped it. When I found out she ends up with him and then he goes runaway groom in the movie?!!! Yeah no I’m good. I choose peace.
im not looking forward to this 😭that knowledge has me on the ground, and the main reason i started watching SATC is bc of a tiktok analysis series and someone commented she ends up being in a situation ship for 27 years??!!! WHAT
also how is there that much SATC content, ik about the show and the movie and i think “just like that” is either a movie or a spin off show??
and i just found out the carrie diaries is a SATC prequel, i’ve never watched it but i’ve seen people talk about it and that never clicked 😭

you’re okay!! i’ve never watched it before but i got into watching it bc of a video series psychoanalyzing carrie and big and their relationship so ik some major plot points but i just don’t know when they happen or have context lol
for the record i already knew about the runaway groom thing and i had already seen carrie cheat on aidan!! i’m at middle-ish season 4 now and the biggest developments have been;
carrie inviting big to aiden’s country home (which took me OUT), carrie finding an engagement ring and throwing up (😭), and miranda getting pregnant with steve’s baby and deciding to keep it
i have sm thoughts on each character, but i find it so interesting that they never seem to give samantha any major or developing story lines, maybe bc she’s the one that has the most sex on a show called “sex and the city”, she’s the “raunchy” comedy’s version of a comedic relief character?? idk i wish they’d try with her a little more she has sm potential
and just like that is a continuation of the satc show. There is weirdly a lot of content for this universe, 6 seasons, two movies, a prequel and an ongoing sequel show. That show had women in a chokehold for decades.
oh, i’m so glad ive stumbled onto this i love having stuff to watch, especially longer shows, idk i find it hard to get into shorter shows (like those 1 season 8 episode shows that netflix always makes and cancels) bc by the time the characters have developed enough for me to care, it’s over
i’m very entertained but also a little annoyed from time to time, like when you yell “don’t go in there!!” at a character in a horror movie
