Day 1: Your Scholar in a Costume

Megan, my Scholar, is a big ass nerd (surprise surprise.) She spent 60 bucks on this store bought version just to spend another 100 going in and manually re-detailing this thing. 

Gotta love perfectionists.

Special thanks to @cottonandpennies for, basically, my life?? Tablets are new and scary and Nemo is warm and squishy. There’s some life wisdom for you.

Day Two: Your Scholar playing in the leaves with friends

I don’t know if “set the leaves in the yard you were supposed to be gathering up on fire to make roasted sweet potatoes” but that’s more or less what panned out here. You can see in the bg @lycanicnovelist and @cottonandpennies ‘s Scholars doing the traditional ‘play’.

Tadashi’s having an internal conniption over whether to yell at these guys for setting things on fire or to go on over and get some good ole yakiimo like the Japanese man he is.

Update: He got his potato.

Day 3: Your Scholar in Fall Clothes

I was gonna make his outfit a lot simpler until I remembered I’m not limited to the clothes I myself have in my wardrobe. Whooooops. 

That’s a little melon bread clip in her hair. Listen she’s tryin to be cute but she has a chronic case of resting stinkface. She’s probably thinking about something like when’s the next time she can allow herself to eat deep fried carbs. She crave the cronch.

Day 4: Your Scholar Committing Pranks

For once, we aren’t pranking Tadashi! Kind of. @cottonandpennies and @lycanicnovelist were instrumental in ‘Karolina Day’, but getting Tadashi on board was the piece de resistance. Behold.

Megan Kudo would be a dead woman if it weren’t for Tadashi in a skirt. Now she’s just Conflicted ™. If Neha and Tegan are anything to go by though, we’ve got a success.

Day 5: Halloween Makeup

Did I ever mention I was a big fan of Persona 4? Or Persona 4 Arena’s Halloween advertisements? Thank you flat colors.

Day 6: Your Scholar in a Zombie Apocalypse

What Zombie Apocalypse?

Tried an experiment with Plantea’s Color Palette meme and honestly? This isn’t the cleanest thing I’ve ever done, but it was pretty fun only working with colors and mid colors! Not that I know color theory but hey, good practice!

Day 7: Your Scholar as a Child

I had radical perspective I swear, this wasn’t just bad anatomy. THEN I put in a straight set of doors and…there it went. Woosh.

Here’s Megan as a baby! Before they told her the Asian girl couldn’t be Aurora, she had to be Mulan. I’m gettin tired cranking out so fast I think, lots of errors in this one, so I better save day 8 for tomorrow.

Tell me I’m wrong.

Oh final note! I made the mistake of drawing her with brown eyes–I forgot Megan actually has blue-to-periwinkle dark eyes, so I went back and edited any old pic of her with colored in eyes! 

Day 8: Your Scholar in a Horror Movie universe.

I’d like to think she escaped.

The Angel Trap leaves WAY worse wounds than this but I chickened out and also don’t know how to draw intense gore so….whelp. Whatever shall I do. Honestly come on I burned part of her hand off with acid what more do you want from me.

Day 9: Your Scholar in a Horror Video game.

Easiest way to scare Megan? Anything really. But Jhorror. Jhorror will do it.

Did I mention how much I love Fatal Frame? Did I mention how aesthetically pleasing it is, how interesting the Lore is? Did I mention I’m scared to hell of Fatal Frame???

God I have such a love hate relationship with horror media.

Day 10: One of the cast as a Disney Villain

Oh my GOD this one tried me. It’s not perfect, it’s not even clean. I don’t care. I don’t care I’m DONE with this one. Axel you have tried my patience with your Male-ificent for ONE DAY TOO MANY

Day 11: Your Scholar and their Crush (?) Sheltered (???) from the storm

I’m gonna be real here, I have no idea of Tadashi is my guy. It’s between him and Tegan, but any guy in the cast more or less got a shot. But I’ve been focused on Tadashi, and frankly, clowning on him is continuously funny. 

Megan’s got a rough time expressing herself genuinely in romantic situations anyways. When things get too vulnerable she shores up and memes. She’d prefer to make people laugh than consider the possibility of becoming vulnerable with someone. As the kids say, y e e t. I’m too far behind to color this properly. So b&w today! Gag credit to Monthly Girl’s Nozaki-kun.

Day 12: Your Scholar in a Historical Time

I’m pretty sure that Megan’s got some shrine maiden in her blood. Also I just really really wanted to draw a miko. So sue me.

Day 14: Your Scholar and Crush (?) In a Haunted House

Nice and quick for this one. The problem with explosive anxiety and an itch for control of the situation is that when someone jumps out at you, you punch it into subjection immediately.

Moral of the story is, don’t jumpscare her. Just don’t do it.

Day 15: One of the kids in a costume picked by your Scholar

Neha appreciation day! And did I mention Megan is a nerd? Cause she is. Specifically a Nintendo fangirl. 

Raquel would honestly fit the Octoling better, both visibly and athletically, but that gun is able to spray actual ink and like hell we were gonna give her that one. She’s terrifying enough with a gun that CAN’T shoot anything.

Day 16: Ouiji Board

If Tyler so much as tries to put a hand on that planchette he’s gonna plan-regret. Catch Tegan NOT catching those hands thanks.

In all seriousness tho, people can do what they want. But as soon as she hears ‘Come on it’s just a game’ she’s either educating or vacating. A little bit of none of that in her life.

Day 18: Your Scholar and Crush(???) in a Shakespeare Play

Takarazuka-Style 12th Night? Yes. Yes sure.

Since I was flip flopping between Tegan and Tadashi for crush, this was supposed to be his debut art–I was gonna fancy this up, add a nice Tegan in there, make it really theatrical

And then my computer crapped out on me and got rid off all of my layer information. 

So this is more or less what we can do here. Ah, well. The show must go on.

Megan’s Viola, Tegan’s Duke Orsino, and Karolina’s Olivia. As you can imagine, it’s an awkward time for all. Honestly Megan’s main gripe is being in a non-musical…

Day 19: Your Scholar and Friends telling Scary Stories

And then Claire had the nerve to wonder why no one had slept come next morning. It’s always the quiet ones…
