YOU’VE NEVER LIKED PARK SUNGHOON.
from the very first moment you both met, he was always a step ahead of you—academically, athletically, socially.
even when he wasn’t trying, it seemed like he was out to get you in every way.
whether it was the way he’d breeze through math equations that left you staring at the chalkboard for minutes on end— or how he managed to charm every teacher with his charming wittiness and smooth-talking nature, he just seemed… infuriatingly perfect.
but what made it worse was that he knew it.
“better luck next time, y/n,” sunghoon would say after every test you lost to him.
“don’t worry princess, you’ll get there eventually.” he’d say with a smirk.
and every single time, you would grind your teeth, roll your eyes, and ignore the smug grin on his face.
he was constantly teasing you, acting like your rivalry was all just a game.
he didn’t even take it seriously!— meanwhile, you were constantly working your hardest, pushing yourself to beat him.
but no matter how hard you tried, he was always there, effortlessly flawless. ─── 𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘌 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘊𝘜𝘛 !
the teasing got worse during group projects, where you were often paired together due to your similar grades.
while you were focused on getting things done, sunghoon was focused on teasing you at every opportunity.
“come on, you don’t need to work so hard,” he’d say one afternoon when you were hunched over your notes in the library.
“you’re gonna get wrinkles from all that frowning. besides, you’re cute when you smile.”
you scoffed. “you’re delusional, sunghoon. maybe if you focused more on the project and less on making stupid comments, we wouldn’t be here all afternoon.”
he leaned back in his chair, flashing you that infuriating smirk.
“but tell me, where exactly is the fun in that?”
you hated how his teasing always got under your skin.
and even more than that, you hated how sometimes, when he wasn’t being his cocky self, you caught glimpses of something else.
a small, genuine smile when he thought you weren’t looking—the way his eyes seemed to soften, just for a split second, whenever you were caught up in your work.
but you told yourself it didn’t matter. he was your rival, nothing more.
until one day, everything changed.
it started on a regular afternoon—you were heading to the library to study, the dread of another upcoming test hanging over your shoulders.
you were determined this time to beat sunghoon, no matter what it took.
you had stayed up late the past few nights, reviewing your notes and going over practice problems.
there was absolutely no freaking way in hell you were going to let him win again.
as you approached the library, you spotted sunghoon sitting at a table near the back.
at first, you were ready to ignore him and focus on your work, but then you noticed he wasn’t alone.
a girl sat beside him, leaning close as they whispered and giggled together.
your footsteps faltered, something sharp making its way in your chest.
you didn’t know why, but the sight of sunghoon laughing with someone else—someone who wasn’t you—stung in a way that left you breathless.
you had never seen him like this before— his face was relaxed, open, and there was something intimate about the way they were sitting together, their heads close, completely absorbed in their conversation.
sunghoon’s usually cool and detached demeanor had melted away, replaced by something softer, something you didn’t understand.
and it hurt.
before you could stop yourself, you turned on your heel and walked away.
your chest was tight, and the rational part of your mind tried to convince you that it didn’t matter.
sunghoon was free to talk to whoever he wanted—you sure weren’t his girlfriend, and you certainly didn’t care about what he did outside of your academic rivalry.
but that didn’t stop the flood of emotions crashing through you.
the anger—jealousy—confusion, and somewhere, buried deep beneath it all, was the tiniest flicker of something else—something you refused to acknowledge.
for the next few days, you did everything you could to avoid him.
you stopped going to the library at your usual times, sat farther away from him in class, and when he tried to talk to you, you’d brush him off with a cold remark lacking your usual bicker or pretending you were too busy to listen.
if he noticed, he didn’t say anything, but you caught him glancing your way more often than usual, a frown tugging at his lips.
to distract yourself, you started hanging out with your friend wonbin more.
he was easygoing, fun to be around, and most importantly, he didn’t make your emotions spiral out of control the way sunghoon did.
you’d spend lunch together, study in the library in a different corner from where you and sunghoon would, and soon enough, he became your go-to when you wanted to take your mind off things.
but of course, sunghoon noticed.
it started with the glances—you’d be sitting with wonbin, laughing at one of his jokes, and you’d catch sunghoon watching from across the room.
his usual confidence was replaced with something darker—his jaw clenched, his eyes narrowed.
it unsettled you, but you told yourself it wasn’t your problem, he had no right to be upset when he had been laughing with that girl just days ago.
then came the confrontation.
you were walking to your next class, distracted by a conversation with wonbin, when you felt a firm hand grab your wrist.
startled, you spun around to find sunghoon standing there, his expression hard.
his grip wasn’t tight, but there was something urgent in the way he held onto you, as if he couldn’t let you leave without hearing him out.
“can i talk to you?” his voice was low, but you could hear the tension brewing beneath it.
“not now, sunghoon,” you replied, trying to pull your arm free, but he didn’t let go.
“no, we need to talk. now.. please?”
wonbin gave you a concerned look, but you forced a smile and told him you’d catch up later.
as he walked away, sunghoon tugged you into a quiet, empty hallway where no one could overhear you.
“what the hell is your problem?” he asked, voice barely above a whisper but filled with frustration.
your heart pounded in your chest.
“seriously—my problem? you’re the one acting like an ass.”
“i’m acting like an ass? you’re the one ignoring me for no reason and hanging out with him all the time.” his eyes flicked toward the direction wonbin had walked off in, his jealousy evident.
“oh, so i’m not allowed to have friends now?” you shot back, your voice rising in frustration.
“why do you even care?”
sunghoon’s jaw tightened. “because it’s driving me crazy, okay? seeing you with him—it drives me insane. i don’t know what’s going on, but—” he ran a hand through his hair, his frustration clear.
“why are you avoiding me, y/n? did i do something wrong?”
the vulnerability in his voice caught you off guard. you weren’t used to seeing him like this—raw, open, and confused.
it made your heart ache in a way you weren’t prepared for.
“i saw you,” you finally admitted, crossing your arms in an attempt to keep your voice steady.
“in the library. with that girl. you were laughing with her, and i just—”
you swallowed, unable to finish the sentence. “nevermind—it doesn’t matter.”
sunghoon blinked, his confusion deepening further.
“wait, what girl?”
you glared at him. “don’t play dumb, sunghoon. the girl you were whispering with the other day.”
realization dawned on his face, and for the first time in the conversation, he looked genuinely taken aback.
“you mean… my cousin?”
your stomach dropped. “what?”
“the girl in the library. that was my cousin, y/n. she was visiting for the weekend, and i was just showing her around.” he paused, his lips twitching as if he was holding back laughter.
“wait—no way… are you jealous?”
heat rushed to your face, and you immediately looked away, mortified.
“no! of course not—are you crazy?”
but your weak protest only made him laugh softly, his earlier frustration replaced by amusement— he stepped closer, his tone gentle now.
“you are— don’t lie to me, you’re totally jealous.”
“i’m not,” you mumbled, refusing to meet his eyes.
your cheeks burned with embarrassment. how could you have been so stupid?
sunghoon chuckled, his voice lowering as he reached out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
“you’re really cute when you’re flustered, you know that?”
before you could respond, he leaned in, his lips brushing against your cheek in the softest of kisses.
the warmth of his plush and soft lips on your skin sent shivers down your spine, and for a moment, you forgot how to breathe.
when he pulled back, his own cheeks were dusted with pink, and he suddenly looked just as flustered as you felt.
“uh… i’ll, um, see you later,” he stammered, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly before quickly turning on his heel and walking away, leaving you standing there, heart racing, utterly speechless.
what the hell are you going to do with park sunghoon?

YOU WOKE UP TO A WARMTH YOU’RE NOT USED TO FEELING SO EARLY IN THE MORNING.
it’s comforting but so unfamiliar—as your eyes slowly flutter open, you realize that someone’s arms are wrapped securely around you, holding you close and coddling you as if you were a giant plushie.
the room is still dimly lit, the curtains drawn, but the soft sunrise of the early morning light seeps through, just enough for you to see the messy hair and familiar features of your boyfriend—park sunghoon.
sunghoon isn’t usually like this—he’s not the type to show his affection so openly.
he’s reserved, sometimes distant, always keeping his emotions carefully guarded behind his cold and icy demeanor.
so waking up like this, feeling his body pressed so intimately against yours, his face nuzzled into the crook of your neck, sends a rush of warmth and butterflies through you.
it’s as if he’s silently begging you not to move, as if he’s afraid you might slip away.
you tried shifting just a little, testing to see if you can turn over and look at him properly, but his grip only tightened in response, almost instinctively. ─── 𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘌 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘊𝘜𝘛 .ᐟㅤ
his arms are firm around you, his breath steady and soft against your skin, and you can’t help but smile, even though you’re still a little—very confused.
“hoon?” you whisper, voice soft and gentle, not wanting to break the warmth of the moment.
you tilted your head with a pout to try and get a glimpse of his face, and you can see his eyes are still closed, his brows no longer furrowed in that typical stern way of his.
instead, he looks peaceful, maybe even vulnerable.
he doesn’t say anything at first, he just lets out a small sigh as his eyes blink open, the usual sharpness softened by exhaustion.
he looks at you for a moment, his gaze lingering on your delicate features, and it almost takes your breath away how different he seems—how unguarded.
“is everything okay, hoon?” you ask, your voice barely above a whisper, your eyes searching his, it’s unlike him to be this close, to be this... needy.
he doesn’t answer immediately, and for a second, you think he might just close his eyes again, retreat back into the comfort of silence and sleep.
but instead, he shifts a little, burying his face deeper into your neck, his lips brushing against your skin as he speaks, his voice shy and quiet.
“i just... i don’t say it enough,” he murmurs, his words barely audible to your ears.
“i don’t say it at all, actually. but i love you.”
his confession is soft, almost hesitant, like he’s afraid of how you’ll react. it catches you off guard, and for a moment, you forget how to breathe.
sunghoon, who rarely lets his emotions show, is telling you he loves you—it’s as if all those guarded looks and hesitant touches have finally found their voice, their body.
you feel his arms tighten slightly, his heart beating steadily against your back, and it makes your own heart explode with warmth.
letting out a soft a breath, your lips transforming into a gentle smile.
you turn your body just enough to face him, bringing your hand up to cup his cheek.
his eyes are half-lidded, watching you, nervousness radiating off of him.
you can tell that it took a lot for him to say those words—he’s always shown his love through actions rather than declarations.
“sunghoon...” you whisper, your thumb brushing gently along his cheekbone.
“you don’t have to say it for me to know, you know that?”
his gaze drops onto the covers for a second, as if he was unsure, but you lift his chin slightly, making him meet your eyes.
“you’ve always shown me you love me,” you continue, your voice filled with warmth.
“the way you remember the smallest things about me—like how you always make sure my favorite snack is stocked or how you know just when i need some space and when i need you close, or when i’ve had a horrible day and you rent my favourite movies on overpriced subscriptions.”
you see his expression soften, his eyes holding a glimmer of something more tender, and it makes your heart swell even more—if possible.
you lean in, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. “i love you too, hoon,” you whisper against his skin.
“i always have and will. your actions have always told me everything i needed to know.”
he stays silent for a moment, and you feel him relax against you, his forehead resting against yours.
there’s a hint of a grin tugging at his lips, his eyes closing as if he’s savoring your words, your presence.
his arms pull you even closer, if that’s even possible, and you feel his breath against your skin, warm and steady.
“you’re too good to me, pretty..” he mumbles, his voice muffled slightly by your proximity.
“i know i’m not the best at showing it... but i’ll keep trying. for you.”
your heart flutters at his words, and you shake your head slightly, smiling.
“you’re perfect just the way you are,” you say softly, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“i don’t need grand gestures. just you, like this, is always going to be enough.”
he looks at you, his eyes holding a softness that’s usually hidden behind his icy expression.
his lips stretch into a small, shy smile, and he leans in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.
it’s sweet and soft, filled with all the words he hasn’t said, and it makes your heart flutter in your chest.
when he pulls back, he rests his forehead against yours again, his eyes closing as he lets out a content sigh.
“i love you,” he repeats, the words sounding more confident this time, as if he’s finally allowing himself to believe in them.
“i love you too,” you reply, your fingers threading through his hair, holding him close.
you both fall into a comfortable silence, the morning sun slowly brightening the room, but neither of you wanted to make any move to let go.
for once, sunghoon isn’t afraid to show how much he cares, and you can feel it in every gentle touch, every soft breath.
it’s a side of him you’ve always known was there, hidden beneath his coldness, and now, wrapped up in his arms, you feel like the luckiest person in the world to witness it.

THE SOUND OF SUNGHOON’S LAUGHTER FILLED YOUR EARS AS YOU STOOD JUST OUTSIDE HIS ROOM.
it was late in the afternoon, and sunghoon was in the middle of his usual stream, his loud voice echoing through the slightly opened door.
you peeked in and saw him sitting comfortably in his gaming chair, headphones snug over his ears, his eyes focused intently on the screen.
he was mid-game, his brows furrowed in concentration, the corner of his mouth lifted in that slightly mischievous grin he often wore when he was feeling competitive.
you couldn’t help but smile, warmth blooming in your chest—there was something so endearing about the way he interacted with his audience. ─── 𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘌 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘊𝘜𝘛 .ᐟㅤ
his voice switching from playful banter to serious commentary, his expressions fluctuating with each moment of the game.
it was evident that sunghoon genuinely enjoyed his time streaming, sharing parts of his world and joy with the people who supported him.
you leaned against the doorframe, watching for a few moments.
you weren’t sure if he’d noticed you—after all, he was in the middle of an intense match.
but just then, his eyes flicked to the side, catching sight of you.
his entire face lit up, his eyes softening immediately—his lips curved into a smile meant just for you, and you knew you were the only person in his world at that moment.
he subtly gestured for you to come in, his fingers making a small “v” shape that usually indicated he’d muted his mic and turned off his camera.
hesitantly, you pushed the door open and stepped inside, trying to keep quiet so as not to interrupt his stream.
when you reached his chair, he leaned back slightly, his gaze never leaving yours as he moved one arm away from his keyboard to gently rest it around your waist.
“hey,” he mouthed, his voice so low that only you could hear it.
his eyes were warm, a tender, lovesick smile tugging at his lips.
without hesitating, sunghoon gave your waist a light tug, pulling you onto his lap.
you tried not to laugh as you comfortably settled onto his thighs, your hands automatically going to rest on his shoulders.
he was so affectionate whenever you were close like this, and you loved the way his presence seemed to wrap around you.
“did you finish your errands?” he asked, his lips brushing against your ear as he leaned closer, his breath sending shivers down your spine.
his voice was gentle, just for you—completely different from the hyper tone he used with his viewers.
“yeah, i got everything done,” you whispered back, running a hand through his soft, dark hair.
he gave a contented sigh at the sensation, his eyes closing briefly, as if savoring the moment.
you couldn’t help but smile at how he relaxed under your touch, his body leaning slightly into yours.
“i missed you..” he said with a smile as you melted more into his embrace at the warm words.
for a moment, you simply looked at each other, and you could feel the intensity of his gaze.
his eyes were full of adoration, the kind of gaze that made your heart swell with love.
he leaned in, closing the distance between you, his lips finding yours in a soft, slow kiss.
you melted into him, your fingers brushing through his hair as you deepened the kiss just slightly.
his arms wrapped around you, one hand resting on your back, holding you securely in place.
you pulled away slowly, brushing your nose against his, your forehead resting gently against his.
he looked at you with nothing but tenderness, and you gave him a shy smile, feeling your cheeks warm under his gaze.
suddenly, you heard a burst of noises—the familiar ping of alerts, notifications going wild on his computer screen.
you turned your head, your brows furrowing slightly.
it was odd, given that sunghoon was usually pretty focused during these moments, but something was definitely different.
the chat was going crazy—lines and lines of comments flying by in a blur, filled with emojis and excited messages.
you squinted, leaning closer to the monitor as you tried to make out what they were saying.
“omg is that his gf???”
“sunghoon forgot to mute lmaooo.”
“they’re kissing on camera?? i’m screaming.”
“i knew it!!! i knew it!!!”
your eyes widened, and you turned to look at sunghoon nervously.
he was staring at the chat with a mix of shock and horror, his eyes practically bulging out of his head.
“oh no…” he muttered under his breath, panic evident in his voice.
his face turned bright red, and his gaze darted between you and the monitor screen as if trying to process what had just happened.
“i—i thought i muted the mic and turned off the camera…” he stammered, his fingers fumbling over the keyboard and mouse.
he quickly clicked through the settings, ending the stream with a rushed, “okay, uh, bye guys, see you next time!” his voice wavered, and his cheeks were flushed red in embarrassment.
finally, the screen went black, and silence filled the room—you blinked at him, trying to keep a straight face, but a giggle escaped your lips, and before you knew it, you were laughing.
you covered your mouth with your hand, but it was no use—you were laughing too hard.
sunghoon groaned, burying his face in your shoulder to hide his flushed cheeks.
“stop laughing,” he mumbled, his voice muffled against your shirt.
you could feel the warmth radiating off his skin, his embarrassment making you laugh even harder.
“i—i’m sorry!” you managed between giggles, your hand moving to his hair, fingers threading through the soft strands.
“it’s just… the way you panicked… it was so cute and adorable, hoon.”
he lifted his head just enough to glare at you, though his expression softened almost immediately, his lips twitching in a reluctant smile.
“i can’t believe they actually saw that,” he muttered, shaking his head.
“hey, it’s okay,” you said softly, cupping his face with both hands, your thumbs brushing over his flushed cheeks.
“really, i don’t mind. i think it’s kind of sweet.”
his eyes searched yours, a hint of uncertainty in them. “you really don’t mind?” he asked quietly, his voice almost vulnerable.
you shook your head, smiling at him as you cupped his face in your hands.
“not at all, hoon. i think it’s nice that they got to see how much i love you,” you said, your voice sincere.
his expression softened even more, his eyes filled with love as he gazed at you.
“you’re amazing, you know that?” he whispered, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your forehead.
he lingered there for a moment, his lips warm against your skin, and you closed your eyes, letting the moment sink in.
eventually, he pulled away, resting his forehead against yours.
he was still blushing, but the embarrassment had faded, replaced by something softer, something tender.
“so,” you began, a playful and teasing smile tugging at your lips.
“are we going to make this official next time?”
he blinked, his eyes widening in surprise. “you mean… like do a stream together?” he asked, his voice laced with excitement and a hint of nervousness.
you nodded, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to his lips.
“yeah. i think it could be fun. besides, it’s not like we can hide it anymore, right?” you teased, your smile growing.
sunghoon laughed, the sound soft and full of warmth—he wrapped his arms around you, holding you close as he looked at you with so much love that it made your heart swell.
“yeah, i guess you’re right,” he said, his voice affectionate. “i’d love to do a stream with you. but just know, they’re probably going to tease me the entire time.”
you grinned, brushing your nose against his. “that’s okay. i’ll just have to protect you from the teasing.”
he chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “i’m holding you to that,” he said, his tone playful.
you leaned in, pressing your lips to his once more, this time slow and sweet.
he kissed you back, his hands moving to rest on your hips, his thumbs brushing over your sides gently.
when you pulled away, you gave him a soft smile, your heart never felt more full.
“i love you, sunghoon,” you whispered, your voice filled with sincerity.
he looked at you, his gaze tender, and he smiled, his eyes twinkling. “i love you too. so much.”
and in that moment, with sunghoon’s arms wrapped around you, his eyes filled with nothing but love, you knew that whatever would happen—whether it was facing the teasing from fans, or doing a stream together—you’d do it together.

THE CAR MOVED QUIETLY ALONG THE DARKENED ROAD,
the headlights reflecting long, dim beams across the empty street—the world outside the window is silent, asleep in the quiet of the late night, and the only sounds in the car are the soft buzzing of the engine and the faint, slow song playing from the radio.
the air is heavy with the weight of something unspoken, something that lingers between the two of you, and you don’t know if it’s the night, or the realization that these moments are always slipping through your fingers too quickly.
sunghoon’s hand rests on the gearshift, his knuckles brushing against yours, and you feel the familiar warmth spread through you—the same warmth you’ve felt every time you’ve been this close to him.
the streetlights flicker as you pass, and in those small glimpses of light, you see his profile—the sharp line of his jaw, the soft, messy strands of his hair falling into his eyes, the way his lips press together in concentration as he drives.
he looks beautiful, in the quiet, under the gentle glow of the passing lights.
it’s like something out of a dream—something too perfect, too fragile to be real. ─── 𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘌 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘊𝘜𝘛 .ᐟㅤ
his eyes glance over at you, and for a moment, they soften, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, as if just seeing you there beside him makes all of this worth it.
it’s a smile that holds the weight of all the secrets you share, of all the stolen moments between you.
you look down at your intertwined hands, your fingers grazing the edges of his, and you can feel that familiar pang of longing.
the kind of longing that comes from knowing that you can’t stay in this car forever, that eventually, this drive will end, and you’ll have to go back to reality—the place where being with him isn’t as simple as just being in love.
you’ll go back to the house that’s waiting for you, the one with your parents, who will never approve of someone like sunghoon.
it’s a world that’s filled with expectations and rules and boundaries that you’re never allowed to cross.
but in this car, it’s different.
it’s just you and him, no rules, no eyes watching, no consequences—just two people who found something in each other that made it impossible to stay away.
“are you okay?” sunghoon’s voice is soft, cutting through the quiet.
his eyes flicker to you again, and you can see the concern in them, the gentle way he’s always cared about you, even in the smallest of ways.
you nod, swallowing the lump that’s forming in your throat. “yeah, i’m okay,” you whisper, even though you know it’s not entirely true.
you’re okay now, here, but you know it won’t last.
it never does. but that’s why you hold onto these moments, because they’re all you have, and they’re everything to you.
he gives you a small smile, the kind that reaches his eyes, making them crinkle just a bit at the corners, and it makes your heart ache.
you reach out, your fingers brushing against his cheek, and he leans into your touch, his eyes fluttering closed for a brief second.
it’s such a small thing, but it feels like everything—like in that tiny movement, you can feel all the love you have for each other.
“sometimes i wish i could just keep driving,” he admits, his voice so low it almost gets lost in the roar of the engine.
“just keep going, until we’re so far away that none of it matters anymore.”
his words hang in the air between you, and you feel the tears prick at the corners of your eyes, that familiar sense of longing growing inside you.
you want that too. more than anything. you want to be with him without having to look over your shoulder, without feeling like every kiss, every touch, every whispered word is something that could be taken away at any moment.
you want him without all the obstacles that come with it, without the expectations that keep pulling you apart.
“i know,” you whisper, your voice trembling. “i wish that too.”
his fingers tighten around yours, and he looks at you, his eyes filled with something raw, something that you’ve seen so many times but never get used to.
it’s love, pure and simple, and it’s so strong that it scares you—because it’s the kind of love that makes everything else fade away, the kind that makes you want to risk it all, even when you know how much it could hurt.
he pulls the car to a stop, the gravel crunching beneath the tires as he parks on the side of the road.
you look up, seeing your house in the distance—the lights still on, even at this hour, because they’re waiting for you.
you can already feel the weight of the world creeping back in, the walls going up, the distance that’s going to grow between you as soon as you step out of this car.
sunghoon turns to you, his eyes searching yours, and for a moment, neither of you say anything.
there’s no need for words, not when everything you’re feeling is written so clearly across your faces.
you lean in, your forehead resting against his, your eyes closing as you take in the moment, the warmth of his skin, the scent of him—everything about him that you want to remember when he’s not with you.
“i love you,” he whispers, his voice cracking just a little, and you feel the tears slip down your cheeks, your heart aching at how much you wish you could hold onto this forever.
“i love you too,” you whisper back, your voice breaking.
he kisses you then, his lips soft and warm against yours, and it’s filled with everything you can’t say, everything that’s too big for words.
it’s a promise, a vow that even if you can’t be together in the way you want, even if the world is determined to pull you apart, this love is real, and it’s yours, and no one can take that away.
you pull away, and he looks at you, his eyes glassy, his expression filled with a sadness that mirrors your own.
you reach for the door handle, your fingers trembling as you open it, the cold night air rushing in, pulling you back to reality.
you step out of the car, your feet touching the pavement, and you turn back to him, giving him one last smile.
“goodnight, sunghoon,” you say, your voice barely above a whisper, and it feels like goodbye, even though you know it’s not.
“goodnight, y/n,” he says, his voice breaking just a little, and you can see the way his hands grip the steering wheel, like he’s trying to hold onto something that’s slipping away.
you turn away, your heart heavy as you walk up the driveway, the distance between you growing with every step.
you can feel his eyes on you, watching until you reach the door, and you pause, looking back just once.
he’s still there, his silhouette framed by the dim glow of the car’s headlights, and it makes your chest tighten, knowing that this is where it ends—at least for tonight.
you give him one last wave, and he raises his hand, a soft smile on his lips, and then you turn, opening the door and stepping inside.
the warmth of the house surrounds you, yet you still feel so cold—the weight of the expectations fall back onto your shoulders, and you close the door, shutting out the night, shutting out sunghoon.
you lean against the door, your eyes closing, the tears slipping down your cheeks, and you wish, more than anything, that you could have stayed.
that you could have kept driving, kept holding his hand, kept feeling that sense of freedom that only comes with him.
but for now, you’ll hold onto the memory of tonight—the warmth of his hand, the softness of his lips, the love that you felt, even if just for a moment.
and maybe, someday, you’ll find a way to make it more than just a fleeting moment.
maybe, someday, you’ll find a way to keep driving, together.

THE NIGHT WAS SUFFOCATINGLY QUIET, JUST LIKE IT HAD BEEN THE PAST FEW WEEKS.
the kind of quiet that pressed heavily against your windows, making the outside world feel impossibly far away.
you sat at your desk, staring at the pages of your textbook, though none of the words are registering.
your mind is far from the lines of text in front of you—it’s with sunghoon.
you sigh, closing your eyes, the aching in your chest growing unbearable.
you missed him—you missed him more than you could put into words, and it hurt.
it had been weeks since you last spoke, weeks since your parents found out about your relationship and threatened to ruin everything if you didn’t end it.
they were furious, telling you that someone like sunghoon—a boy with a reputation, from a family not up to their “standards”—was not worthy of their daughter. ─── 𝘔𝘖𝘙𝘌 𝘜𝘕𝘋𝘌𝘙 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘊𝘜𝘛 .ᐟㅤ
it felt like they’d ripped a piece of your heart out when they forced you to cut off all contact.
they took your phone, made sure you couldn’t see him at school, warning that if you even spoke to him again, they’d get his parents fired from their jobs.
and you had no choice but to listen—for his sake, you pulled away, doing what they wanted, even if it shattered you in the process.
suddenly, a soft clink breaks through the silence of your room, startling you.
you blink, lifting your head, your brow furrowed.
the sound comes again, this time louder—a sharp tap against the glass of your window.
you stand, slowly crossing the room, your heart beginning to race—you pull the curtains back, and what you see makes your heart stop.
sunghoon.
he’s standing below your window, his dark eyes locked onto yours, his hair messy from the wind.
he’s breathing heavily, and you can see the exhaustion in his posture, but there’s a familiar determination in his eyes that makes your heart swell.
you push open the window, your voice catching in your throat. “sunghoon?” you whisper, your eyes wide.
“hey, princess,” he says, a small smile tugging at his lips. “can i come up?”
you nod, stepping back, your heart pounding so hard it feels like it might break through your ribcage.
you watch as he pulls himself up, his arms straining as he climbs through the window, stumbling slightly as he falls onto your bed, panting softly.
you stand there, frozen, your eyes filling with tears as you take in the sight of him—his familiar face, his tired smile, the way his eyes soften when they meet yours.
he looks at you, opening his arms, and his voice is gentle, filled with love. “come here.”
it’s all it takes for you to break—you let out a choked sob, launching yourself towards him, your arms wrapping around his neck, your face burying in his chest.
he holds you tightly, his arms wrapping around you as if he’s afraid you might disappear if he lets go.
you feel the tears spill down your cheeks, soaking into his shirt, and he doesn’t say anything—just holds you, his hand rubbing slow, soothing circles on your back.
“i missed you so much,” you sob, your voice muffled against his chest. “i—i didn’t want to, but they—”
“shh, i know, baby,” he whispers, his lips brushing against the top of your head. “it’s okay. i know.”
you pull back slightly, looking up at him, your eyes red and puffy, tears still streaming down your face.
“they said they’d get your parents fired,” you say, your voice breaking. “i didn’t want to lose you, but i couldn’t let them do that to you. i’m so sorry, sunghoon.”
his eyes soften, and he reaches up, cupping your cheek, his thumb brushing away the tears.
“hey, don’t apologize,” he says, his voice gentle. “i get it. i know you did it for me.”
you nod, a shaky breath escaping you, and he pulls you closer, his forehead resting against yours.
“i hate them,” you whisper, your voice trembling. “i hate that they’re trying to keep us apart. if they knew you were here, they’d kill us.”
a small smile tugs at his lips, his eyes filled with a warmth that makes your heart ache.
“at least i’d die with you,” he says, his voice soft, and you let out a breathy laugh, the sound caught between a sob and a giggle.
“you’re an idiot,” you whisper, your fingers tangling in the fabric of his shirt.
“yeah, but i’m your idiot,” he says, his lips brushing against your forehead, and you close your eyes, a sense of peace washing over you.
in his arms, everything else fades away—the fear, the worry, the pain of being apart, none of it matters, not when he’s here, holding you like this.
you pull back slightly, looking up at him, your eyes meeting his.
there’s so much love in his gaze, so much emotion that it takes your breath away.
he leans in, his lips brushing softly against yours, and it’s gentle, almost hesitant, as if he’s trying to memorize the feel of you.
you kiss him back, your hands cupping his face, and it feels like coming home—like you’re finally where you’re meant to be.
when you pull away, he smiles at you, his forehead resting against yours.
“i love you,” he whispers, his voice barely audible, as if it’s a secret meant just for you.
“i love you too,” you whisper back, your heart swelling with so much emotion it feels like it might burst.
he pulls you back into his arms, holding you tightly, and you close your eyes, breathing him in, the scent of him filling your senses.
you know this moment won’t last forever—that eventually, he’ll have to leave, and you’ll be back to pretending, back to hiding.
but for now, you have this. you have him, and that’s enough.
and as you lay there, wrapped in his arms, you know that no matter what your parents say, no matter how hard they try to keep you apart, they can’t take this away from you.
they can’t take the love you have for each other, the way he makes you feel alive in a way you never thought possible.
and maybe, someday, you’ll find a way to be together, without all the secrets and the fear.
but until then, you’ll hold onto this—onto him—and you’ll fight for the love you have, no matter what it takes.

PROLOGUE
Scribbling down random notes in your notebook, you notice they all say one thing, Mrs. Park y/n. It was already past sunset and he was still running through your mind. A lady’s voice comes from the radio, “When you see a shooting star, make a wish and your wish will come true.”
You quickly rush to open your curtains and walk out onto the balcony. Looking up, you see thousands of stars shining throughout the sky. Shining like diamonds, you can’t help but admire them. Never having to deal with endless feelings, all they do is just look pretty.
As you're admiring the beautiful night, a shooting star passes by. You gasp, remembering the words from the radio, you put your hands together and make a wish.
‘I wish I can tell Sunghoon how I feel about him.’
You smile after thinking about the said boy for the 100th time that night. Walking back into your bedroom, you shut the balcony door and jump right into bed.
-
As the sun starts to rise up, you get up out of bed and start to get ready. Sliding the skirt over your waist and buttoning up your shirt, you slide your hands against the clothes, smoothing them out. Looking at yourself in the mirror, you smile brightly.
Your dad always said not to dress up so pretty for boys, but instead for yourself. But you couldn’t help it. You were going to be talking to Sunghoon for the first time in your life. Of course you wanted to look your best.
Once you arrive at school, you’re instantly running around the high school looking for Sunghoon. Other students have already started gathering at the school, yet there was no sign of him.
Finally, you see him walking towards the entrance, alone. You smoothed over your uniform for the thousandth time that morning and let out a deep exhale while receding your letter in your head.
“Dear Park Sunghoon,
Nice to meet you Sunghoon. My name is l/n y/n, I’m in Class F. You don't know me, but I know you. Since you made a speech at the entrance ceremony two years ago, I have been admiring your intelligence and handsome face.
There is no way that I can be in the same class as you, this is why I am writing this letter to you. When I first saw you, I felt like I was hit by a shooting star. I started to have special feelings for you.”
You slowly start walking towards him with a smile on your face. “Excuse me.” You say facing him. He gives you a stern look with a blank expression and answers, “Who are you?”
You take a breath again before continuing, “I’m l/n y/n from Class F. Could you please read this?” You hold out the letter with both of your hands and smile, waiting for him to take the letter.
He stares down at the letter and then looks back up to you. Your smile widens but it quickly falls when you hear his answer.
“I don’t want it.” He states while walking away, not sparing you another glance. You’re standing there frozen with students passing by and staring at you.
Your body felt stuck. As much as you wanted to move as not to get more embarrassed your body wouldn't let you. The wind picks up and blows the letter out of your hand, but you’re in so much shock that you can’t even comprehend to go look for it.
As the letter sweeps through the air, it finally lands right in front of Sunghoon who steps on it accidentally, but he doesn’t bother to look back. He keeps his head up and continues walking to his class.
I LIKE YOU ⸺ PARK SUNGHOON

genres! fluff, best friends to lovers
word count! 649
warnings! minor profanity, mention of undergarments and being partially nude
synopsis! in which park sunghoon likes many things, but he’ll always like you the most

Sunghoon liked the ice—or more so he liked the feeling of gliding on it, especially when it was freshly polished. He liked the vibrations in his feet and legs whilst skimming the frozen water, he liked the sound of the blades on his skates scratching against the transparent crystalline solid, and he liked how the small particles of frost would spray up in the air after he landed a trick, showering him in white crystals, it felt magical, but his favorite part was you standing at the sidelines, cheering him on, calling out his name, smiling at him, clapping for him.
His friends, family, peers, and even you; his best friend were always under the impression he liked being on the ice the most, but what Sunghoon really liked the most was being able to spend quality time with you, preferably just the two of you, the ice just makes allowance for it.
Sunghoon liked autumn, it was his favorite season of the year. He liked the crisp air, the warm tones of orange, yellow, and fiery red leaves clinging to the branches of the trees until they dropped to the ground, and the rustling noise they made as they floated around the sidewalks, mixing and mingling in piles as if waiting to be crunched underneath his shoes. He liked the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon and other spices mixing together that seemed to waft through the city, courtesy of the myriad of cafes in Seoul. Notably, he mostly enjoyed it for the coca and cider.
But the part he liked the most? The sacred tradition of campfires in your friend group, always having to roast your marshmallows for you because you would burn them and complain about the taste of your s’mores being too chalky, never minding the fact that he would freeze his ass off by lending you his jacket because you refused to wear one, claiming it would “ruin the fit”, but above all, he liked the way you would cuddle into him later into the night when the air became slightly more frigid and you said no to going inside the tent because in your words “a hoe never gets cold”, instead you would seek his warmth, sitting between his legs and leaning back to rest your head on his chest, his arms wrapping around your waist in turn while resting his chin on the top of your head.
Sunghoon liked autumn, or perhaps he just liked autumn with you.
Sunghoon liked the color white, the purest of all colors, or maybe it just looked that way when you were wearing it, or maybe it was because he often dreamt of you in a particular dress of that color as you made your way down the aisle towards him where he waits at the altar, bouquet in your hands and a soft melody playing somewhere in the background. White was the color of serenity and simplicity, a symbol of a new beginning, much like the future he imagined with you, he hoped one day you and him could start fresh, not as best friends but as lovers and it would be serene and simple, not messy and complicated because he hated that, he had spent too much of his life loving you for it to come to that.
But as Sunghoon sits across from you at the library table, wondering how in the hell he's supposed to confess to you after all these years, you snap him out of his thoughts.
“Wanna get some snacks?” You ask in a whisper.
He looks up at you from his laptop, the bright screen illuminating his face; creating a gleaming reflection in his ebony eyes, almost like the facet of a Milky Way glowing in the dark abyss of space.
That's the way you've always seen Sunghoon, your best friend since kindergarten and even now in your junior year of university. You thought the world of him, the way he could always manage to brighten up your day no matter how gloomy your mood was, and if the multiverse were real, you were fairly certain that you and he were best friends in every single one of them because, for you, a life without Park Sunghoon was a galaxy without its stars: impossible.
The raven-haired young man nods in agreement and you both get up from your seats quietly so as to not disturb the other studying students, and saunter out of the library, towards the vending machines placed at the front of the building.
Sunghoon pulls out his wallet before you can even though you'd already told him you'd pay on the walk there, and just as you are about to open your mouth to protest, you catch a glimpse of a familiar photo in the transparent pocket of his wallet, stopping you from your objection as a cheeky grin makes its way on your face, a mischievous glint in your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest and melodramatically breathing in the scent of petrichor the rain from earlier left behind.
Your sudden change in behavior doesn't go unnoticed by your keen best friend as he continues with his purchase from the automated food and beverage apparatuses while keeping his eye on you from his peripheral vision, not bothering to raise a question regarding what snack or drink you want since he already knew your favorites.
“What kind of scheme could you possibly be plotting in that pretty head of yours?” He probes playfully, internally analyzing every small detail of your current situation for an answer to your puckish comportment but fails to come to a conclusion.
“You have a picture of me in your wallet?” You inquire but the teasing tone in your voice tells him it's a rhetorical question and he knows he's busted.
a delicate pink blooms on the skin of his cheeks as he rubs at the back of his neck, to his luck the merchandise drops from the spinning coils inside the machines and he quickly grabs the snacks and bottled drinks from the slots, shoving yours in your hands before rushing back into the library, completely avoiding you.
The rain had returned by the time you and Sunghoon walked back home, deciding it was best to make a beeline for his apartment which thankfully was only down the street.
The raindrops fell in a downpour as you both carefully sprinted towards shelter, the cold relentless droplets soaking your clothes, leaving goosebumps in their wake, as soon as you entered his apartment he offered you one of his hoodies to change into after telling you to take a warm shower and he follows suit once you're done.
To your relief, your bra and underwear remain dry and you slip them back on along with Sunghoon’s black hoodie, a part of you feels slightly awkward about being partially nude under your best friend’s pullover hood, but you are mainly grateful it fits like a dress, the hem stopping at your thighs.
You sit on the marble countertop of the kitchen island as Sunghoon cooks ramen on the stove, clad in grey sweats and a pullover hoodie similar to yours with the exception of being navy blue in hue, the situation feels domestic and its moments like this in your friendship that you think you and Sunghoon have the potential of being more than just best friends.
For a moment you imagine you are brave enough to tell him your feelings, how his embrace feels like the safest place you could ever be, how his smile never fails to wonderstruck you as if you’ve just been shown all the secrets of the universe, how his comforting presence is the only thing you need after a bad day, how “best friend” was too weak of a word to describe what he meant to you because in truth he was more than that, he was a part of you, a part of your soul, and he had a way of being in your life that nobody else did, he understood you even when you didn't understand yourself, and who knows? Maybe one day you will, maybe one day you'll tell him everything your heart has left unsaid.
“Hey, Hoonie?”
“Yeah?” He turns to face you.
“That picture in your wallet,” you speak softly and sincerely with a gentle smile. “Keep it there.”
Fuck it. Sunghoon thought to himself, how could he not do anything when you were smiling at him like that, especially when you were wearing his clothes, and the sweet look in your eyes only ignited the candle in his heart, the flame burning brighter than it ever had before.
In one swift movement, Sunghoon steps forward, cupping your cheeks in his big hands as his lips press into yours, not too rough and not too gentle but filled with passion.
You close your eyes and allow yourself to relax, a sense of bliss washing over you, your lips move in sync with his, they are soft and warm, and you can taste the flavor of his chapstick. He bites down harshly on your bottom lip before sliding his tongue into your mouth, your wet muscles swirling with each other feverishly, his hands dropping down to grab your waist, his grip tightening as he pulls you in closer to him so your chest is pinned against his and you wrap your arms around his neck.
Slowly you pull away from one another, pressing your foreheads together as you both catch your breath, opening your eyes a few moments afterwards.
He clenches his slender fingers, squeezing your waist lightly as his eyes bore into yours, “I like you, I always have, and I always will.”
You chuckle and peck his lips before replying, “And I like you, Park Sunghoon, always have and always will.”

synopsis! in another life, you and park sunghoon are lovers, just not in this one
note! this fic was inspired by a quote from the movie ‘everything everywhere all at once’ also I'm not very good at writing angst because I hate it but I did my best

“Congrats, big shot,” a familiar voice says from behind you, and you can hear the teasing smile in his tone, “actress of the year award, you're in the big leagues now.”
You turn around to face Park Sunghoon, a renowned figure skater and your ex-boyfriend. You haven't seen each other in almost a year but the sight of him still has the same effect on you it did all those years ago.
He's hauntingly beautiful and you're a house of horrors.
You offer a polite smile, but it's bittersweet as if you were greeting death itself.
“Congratulations to you too, you're becoming a bit of an A-list yourself since you won the Olympics.” you quip, and you both know what kind of game you're going to play tonight.
It’s the same one you always play, the one where he pretends you didn’t break his heart and you pretend everything is fine.
Sunghoon smiles at you too, like you're everything he's ever had and everything he's ever lost.
“Maybe we should exchange autographs like middle schoolers trade Pokémon cards,” he says, and you both chuckle.
“Hmm, I have a feeling mines will be more valuable.”
He playfully puts a hand over his heart. “That’s hurtful, y/n, but I can’t deny that it’s also true.”

The gala was still roaring with life when you stepped out for some fresh air, you sat on concrete stairs, not caring if you got your 20,000-dollar dress dirty. You couldn't care about a lot of things lately.
You and Sunghoon had long parted ways, the conversation only lasted about five minutes before you were seated at your respective tables, you didn't see him again after that.
You’ve gotten everything you ever dreamed of at this point in your career, and you accomplished all your goals, in the beginning, it all seemed so impossible, but now that you're here and you've done it, you’re not so sure what's left anymore.
The sound of the door opening catches your attention, a tall, pale figure steps out, dressed in a purely black suit, and you recognize him instantly.
“Following me?” you prop your chin in your palm as your elbow rests on your knee, carrying the weight of your head as you tilt it playfully.
He’s not startled by the suddenness of your voice, which tells you, yes, he was looking for you.
He smiled. “Maybe.”
He sat next to you on the stairs, not caring if his 5,000-dollar suit got dirty, though it wasn't actually because he didn't care about the suit, but because he just wanted to be close to you.
You're both silent for a while, simply appreciating being in each other's presence after so long.
Or maybe it's because you don't know what to say and he has too much to say, so you settle for the piercing silence of unsaid words.
Sunghoon has been silent his whole life, but he promised himself tonight he wouldn't be.
“Was it worth it?”
Ah. There it is.
You think as the corners of your lips curl upward, you knew this question was coming, you sensed it the moment you saw him again.
If he had asked you that a year ago you would’ve said yes, no hesitation, no second thoughts, just a straight-up yes, and you would have meant it too.
Suddenly the silk fabric of your dress starts to itch your skin, your diamond embroidered heels start to hurt your feet, and your pearl jewelry feels too heavy.
In only a single minute, Park Sunghoon has stripped you of your persona, called you out for the fraud you are, and seen the real you.
And he accepted you.
You lie to save your pride, it's a habit of yours that he knows all too well.
He doesn't think you're perfect, but you would never have to be for him to love you.
“Sometimes,” you say.
You don't bother lying, he’ll know.
You had always been a good liar until Sunghoon came into your life.
He gently nods in understanding at your response, “Do you ever think about it? About us?”
With a chuckle, you reply, “Of course I do.”
It's true that sometimes leaving him is worth the life you're living now, but there are fragments of times when you imagine what your life could've been with him.
In another life, you never left Sunghoon, you got married, bought a home together, adopted a dog, and had a child.
On the surface that sounds nice, but in another life, you are a housewife with broken dreams, you bought a home together but it wasn't the one you always dreamed of because you had to compromise with Sunghoon, you adopted a dog but you were never really an animal person, and you had a child but motherhood was never for you.
In another life, you are happy to be a housewife, you and Sunghoon bought your dream home together, you adopted a dog that you both love, you had a child and you are the most loving mother.
In another life, you are not a housewife, you and Sunghoon bought a home even better than your dream home, you adopted a dog but you're more of a cat person, and you never had a child but you always wanted to be a mother.
In another life, you and Sunghoon work from home, you bought a decent home together, and although it's not your dream one, it's good enough, you adopted a cat, and you never had a child but because that's the way you liked things.
In another life, you and Sunghoon are divorced, the home you bought together is just walls and a roof with painful memories, you don't adopt any pets, and you never had a child.
In another life, Sunghoon is a househusband, you don't care about having a dream home because any place is home with him, you adopted a dog and a cat, and you had a child who has everything they could ever want.
In another life, you and Sunghoon are teenagers again falling in love for the very first time, and you have no idea what the future holds for you.
In another life, you and Sunghoon are just a little bit younger than you are now, in the kitchen of your shared apartment, and you are trying to figure out how to do laundry so all your clothes don’t turn blue again and how to properly calculate your taxes so you don’t go to prison for tax fraud.
In another life, you and Sunghoon have grown old together, and you are experts at doing laundry and taxes.
In another life, you are the bottles of salt and pepper on the table of a random diner and things are entirely less complicated.
In another life, you never meet Park Sunghoon.
The possibilities are endless, and the truth is, you never know what will happen in your life, and that's scary, but you hope in another life you learn to accept the bad just as easily as you accept the good.
“What does it look like?” he asks.
“Laundry and taxes,” you shrug.
You both laugh at that.
“What about you?” you ask.
“Taxes and laundry,” he smiles.
You both laugh again.
The party inside is completely forgotten about as you and Sunghoon spend what feels like hours just sitting and talking, until the realization that it’s time to go home dawns on you.
Sunghoon gets up first, holding his hand out for you to take, and you do, but when he helps you to your feet he doesn't let go just yet, instead, he looks into your eyes and you feel his thumb caress your knuckles.
“It was nice to see you again, y/n.”
“It was good to see you again too, Sunghoon.”
He finally lets you go and you already miss his warmth.
He almost walks away but turns to face you one last time.
With a hint of a smile on his lips, he says, “You know, in another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you.”
And then Park Sunghoon walks out of your life forever, and you let him.
In another life, things didn't end that way.

Sunghoon x reader
Angst, slight fluff
The way that the members are depicted in this story has nothing to do with how they really are or how I feel they are. It is all solely for the storyline so please bear that in mind 🫶
I would also like to add that I know literally nothing about rugby 😁
Summary: Sunghoon was notorious for being cold-hearted to everyone and he’s aware of how many girls at school are dying to melt his frozen heart. Surely nothing would change once Sunoo introduces his friend to the boys
Heeseung is in his final year, 02z are in their 3rd year, Sunoo & Y/N are in their 2nd, and Jungwon & Niki are in their 1st
F/N = female name
Warnings: cursing, slight violence, name calling, gaslighting (please let me know if I need to add any more 🤍)

It was just like any other day at Hybe Academy and the 7 boys known as Enhypen were making their way to their lectures. The high-pitched squeals of girls asking how their day was or if they were free to “hang out” was nothing new to them.
Don’t get it wrong though. They never asked for all of this attention but being the top players of the school’s rugby team, they were bound to attract the eyes of the girls, as well as the odd few envious eyes from the guys.
The 7 boys were a tight knit group ever since they were little. Their parents were great friends and wanted their children to all get along just like they did. Heeseung being the oldest, was extremely protective of all of them and provided them with an older brother figure to guide them through everything. And once the youngest of the group Niki was born, they finally felt that they were complete.
They have been inseparable since day one and nothing was going to change that. Yes the odd few girlfriends would come and go but they never lasted more than a few weeks. But it didn’t matter to them when it came to relationships because at the end of the day, they would always have each other.
Out of all of them, Sunghoon was by far the coldest one. Of course he wasn’t like that around his friends but once the popularity started to build up, so did his walls. You see, Sunghoon was naturally introverted and any hated attention on him. It made him feel so crowded as if he was some kind of show animal.
His mysterious personality paired with his god-like visuals only pushed for girls to want to win his heart over. And trust me, they were persistent. Especially the captain of the cheerleading team F/N who just so happened to be in the same year as the 02s.
Every rugby practice would end with F/N clinging onto his arm and asking if he wanted to join her for whatever party was going on that week. Of course Sunghoon would decline every time with a scowl on his face as he could see through her act.
F/N was a pretty girl but she had been trying to weave her way into the group for ages. Was it for popularity? Was it just to brag? Who knows? And who cares? Certainly not them.
F/N had already tried to suck up to Jay and Jake but there was no going through them. So she went to her final target because why not kill two birds with one stone? She could be apart of their group AND say she was the girlfriend of the ice prince. Nothing was going to stop her and no one would dare to.

It was finally time for lunch and everyone slowly started to filter into the cafeteria. At the moment the boys, apart from Sunoo, were sat at their designated table having a catch up on their day and planning on who’s house they were going to hang out at after school.
“Has anyone seen Sunoo hyung?” Jungwon asked.
“He’s probably busy in the library or something. He did mention that there was a partner project coming up so he’s probably sorting that out.” Jay responded
“Hey Sunoo hyung!!!”
The whole cafeteria quickly turned to their table after Niki shouted across to his friend.
Heeseung chuckled “Talk about a grand entrance or what”
Sunoo walked over with his head down after feeling embarrassed by the youngest member. “Could’ve been more obvious you know Niki”
“Sorry hyung. I was just so scared that you weren’t in our presence and just felt so relieved that you’re alive!” Niki exclaimed with a hand on his heart
With a roll of his eyes at Niki’s dramatic answer, Sunoo explained “I was just having a conversation with Y/N. We’ve been partnered up together for this project and had to sort out when we could meet up.”
Niki’s eyes widened “Y/N?! She was the one that helped me and Jungwon hyung find a lecture hall in our first week. You should bring her here when you meet up Sunoo hyung. She was so nice and I never got to properly thank her”
At this Sunghoon, who had peacefully been savouring his tiramisu, couldn’t help but scoff at what Niki said.
“Really Niki? She’s probably just like every other girl just trying to get our attention. She probably knew that you two were close to us and put up a cute act to make it seem like she’s doing it out of the kindness of her heart.”
His comment caused a sudden feeling of overprotectiveness to come up in Sunoo.
“Yah don’t talk about her like that! Y/N is the most genuine person ever and we’re great friends actually. She’s been helping me a lot since we started here but I never brought her up because I knew you’d react like this”
The members were startled at Sunoo’s outburst as it was the first time he had raised his voice in a serious matter.
Before anything could escalate, Jake stepped in to mediate the conversation and turned to Sunoo “Look, I’m sure Sunghoon didn’t mean to insult your friend like that. You know that he can just say things that sound harsher than he intended”
“But that doesn’t excuse anything. None of you have even properly met her and you jump to conclusions about anyone who shows an act of kindness”
Sunghoon spoke up again “I’m sorry Sunoo. I know we can be harsh when it comes to letting new people in but we’ve been fucked over way too many times and I don’t want you to end up getting hurt again”
Sunoo understood where he was coming from. Throughout his life, people had taken advantage of his kindness and used him as a stepping stone to gain the attention of his older friends. But he knew you were different. You never once diverted the topic of the conversation to his friends or remotely showed any sort of interest in getting to know them.
“I get that but I’m telling you that Y/N is not like everyone else. I know it’s what everyone says but I’m being serious about this”
Heeseung spoke up and said “You know what, maybe we shouldn’t be so stuck up and let Y/N sit with us next time. She seems to be someone that you trust a lot Sunoo so there’s no harm in her sticking with you”
Both Sunoo and Niki cheered at their hyung and happily carried on eating their lunch. But Sunghoon still couldn’t help but feel slightly wary about you.
The next day
Y/N’s POV:
“Hey Y/N!”
I turned around with a smile on my face and was met with Sunoo making his way towards me. Sunoo and I became very close since first term where he turned up late to a lecture and took the empty space next to me. His bright smile and bubbly personality always made my day better and it turned out that we had similar interests.
One of our favourite things to do together was to rant about the unbearable cheerleading captain from the year above. Her fake, high pitched voice pierced through our ears every time she found an attractive guy come within her vicinity.
“Omg Sunooo! Where is Hoonie?!? I’ve been looking all over for him and he’s no where to be found! I’m planning for my birthday party in a month and I need him so we can match our outfits” F/N shrieked as she grabbed onto him whilst completely ignoring my presence.
“For fuck sake F/N. First of all, don’t call Sunghoon hyung Hoonie, it’s disgusting and he hates it. Second of all, when will you take the hint that he wants nothing to do with you?” Sunoo snapped back
“Well for your information, Hoonie is just playing hard to get. I know likes the thrill of having the most gorgeous girl of this school chasing after him but he knows at the end of the day, we’re perfect for each other.”
I don’t think I’ve ever had a stronger urge to throw up after hearing her cringy words. I could tell that Sunoo was having none of it from his side eye directed towards F/N. Seeing the obvious look of disgust, I couldn’t help but slightly chuckle at him. Only then did F/N finally acknowledge me with a glare.
“What are you laughing at? You’re just one of those sad losers that try so desperately for any guy to even look in your direction. That’s probably why you stick around with Sunoo isn’t it? You just want to be one of us so bad don’t you” F/N got in my face and started taunting me.
Sunoo was ready to go and roast her like a turkey on Thanksgiving but I quickly responded “One of you? From what it seems F/N, you seem to paint the perfect description of yourself. You know, the desperate puppy chasing her precious Hoonie who wants nothing more than to send you off to a shelter. But I can see that you’re not the brightest and can’t comprehend logic very well so let me spell it out for you. I want absolutely nothing to do with you or Sunoo’s friends. I stick with Sunoo because I care about him and we get along well. Obviously you wouldn’t understand that concept since the people that leech onto you are just your minions that use you to their advantage with the cheer team.”
I could sense Sunoo silently hyping me up from behind, but what can I say? He taught me well.
F/N’s face turned red and she screamed back “HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT YOU BITCH! You’re just jealous of me aren’t you? You’re salty that you thought you could be the cheerleading captain but you’re just shit and excused it as you having an injury! You can’t handle the fact that I have everything you dream of”
“You really think that I’m jealous of you being captain of the cheerleading team? Well I hate to break it to you F/N but I have a life outside of cheer and have moved on. I have people around me that actually care about me but what do you have? Just an obsession with someone who won’t spare you a glance I guess.”
The built up rage in F/N made her raise her hand to slap me but I grabbed her wrist
“Look F/N I don’t want to deal with you ok. You always find a way to get in my face about the most ridiculous shit but I’m sick of it now. I’m not dealing with your bullshit any more”
*School bell rings*
“I’m not finished with you Y/N. You better watch yourself before you regret it” F/N spat as she snatched her wrist away and stormed off.
Other students in the hallway started mumbling about what just happened but I couldn’t care less about what they had to say.
I turned to Sunoo and said sarcastically “Oh so scary! Shiver me timbers 😱”
We both laughed with each other and got ready for our lecture
Time skip
“Hey Y/N, we should probably get started on our project. Why don’t you sit with me and the boys for lunch since I have practice after school?”
“I’m not sure Sunoo. I don’t want to interfere with you guys and after everything that happened this morning with F/N, I’m not exactly interested in having her coming over and causing another scene.”
“No Y/Nie! I swear it will be ok for you to sit with us! They said they don’t mind you eating lunch with us. That’s if you’re comfortable with it though”
“Wait you told them about me?”
“Yeah! They know we’ve been partnered for the project so they won’t bombard you with questions. Also Niki and Jungwon really want to talk to you since you helped them during their first week here.”
Oh I remember those cuties. They were walking around in circles and bickering about which direction to go to in the maths department.
“Ah Niki and Jungwon? I’d love to catch up with them! They’re so cute!”
“But I’m cuter though”
“Of course you are Sunoo”
At the cafeteria
The students looked at me and Sunoo in shock as we both made our way to the boys’ table. I didn’t look at anyone since I knew that I would just be met with envious eyes
What is Y/N doing with them?
I bet she’s just trying to get with one of them
Didn’t she just accuse F/N of doing exactly what she’s doing right now
Well isn’t this fun? I’ve stayed out of drama for my entire time I’ve been here and all of a sudden I’m the centre of the gossip.
“Don’t listen to them Y/Nie. If you want I can roast the shit out of them?” Sunoo whispered
I laughed at his overprotectiveness and responded “It’s ok they’re just finding any way to get some gossip”
We got to the table and Sunoo introduced me to everyone. I was met with charming smiles from everyone. Well, except one.
“Hi Y/N! It’s nice to finally meet you. Sunoo has told us a lot about you” Jay said politely
“Ah hope there was nothing bad” I responded nervously
Jake laughed “No of course not. He’s been going on about how amazing you are and we also heard that you’ve already met Jungwon and Niki”
“Hi noona!” The two younger boys greeted
We all fell into a comfortable conversation as we got to know each other but I could see Sunghoon sitting quietly, sending me the odd glare every now and then.
Heeseung saw as well and spoke up “Sunghoon are you ok? Why don’t you get to know Y/N as well?”
All Sunghoon did was scoff and mumble “Nah I’m good” before getting up abruptly and leaving the cafeteria.
There was a lingering awkward silence before Sunoo reassured me “Don’t mind him Y/Nie. Sunghoon hyung just has a hard time warming up to new people, that’s all.”
I gave him a small smile and thankfully we all carried on our conversation and steered off the awkward moment that just happened.
Time skip
As it turns out, the boys are the sweetest people ever minus Sunghoon and we’ve been hanging out almost every day since. They called me their little sister (ofc older sister for the younger ones but still little in terms of height 😤) and it really did feel like I had a bunch of protective brothers with me.
I’ve been trying to get to know Sunghoon as well, especially since I feel guilty of just turning up in the group out of no where. But I still wanted to respect his boundaries so I never pushed. When I did have the chance to speak to him, they all felt very one-sided on my part as he only responded with short answers before leaving.
For the past few weeks, everyone has been stressing as we all had exams coming up which contributed to 50% of our grade for the year. The older ones were practically living in the library with barely any time to sleep or eat. I knew they felt the most pressure since they were in their final years and the grades that they got now had an impact on if they could graduate or not.
Even though I have exams coming up too, I’ve been a bit more chill since they weren’t as intense. So during my free time at home, I’ve been making lunch for the boys since there’s no way of getting them away from studying if it’s not rugby practice. It’s not much but at least they’re not starving.
I woke up extra early today to make them all some lunch and packed it ready so I could go to the convenient store on the way to school and buy extra snacks.
At the convenient store
I picked out a load of snacks and ramen so the boys could have a bit of energy during their study time. It was mostly just some generic snacks but I still made sure to pick out everything mint choco flavour for Sunoo (aka my favourite person). In the dessert aisle I saw tiramisu and remembered that Sunghoon would eat it for almost every lunch. Hopefully he won’t think I’m some creep 😬 He had still been distant but it was better than him storming away from me every time he sees me.
Time skip to school
Just as the school bell rang, Sunoo and I packed up my things and I quickly brought out his snacks so he could eat some on the way to the library.
“Ah thank you Y/Nie! I actually got you some of your favourite snacks since you’ve been feeding us all so well the past few days”
“Sunoo you didn’t have to thank you so much! This is why you’re my favourite” I smiled at him as we traded snacks
“Of course I am” Sunoo said smugly and flipped his hair before we laughed and went to meet with the others
At the library
The boys greeted the two of us as we arrived and I started handing out the food that I made and snacks. Their faces lit up at the sight of food and they were quick to thank me for it.
As I got around to Sunghoon, I handed him the tiramisu and the boys started to tease him with Niki asking why he got special treatment.
Sunghoon rolled his eyes but I could see a small smile as he thanked me and started to eat.
We spent a few hours studying and every so often we’d have a small break. I felt thirsty so I decided to refill my drink
“Hey Sunoo I’m just going to quickly go to the water fountain, make sure Niki doesn’t try to break my laptop pleaseee”
“Haha of course I can”
The corridors were basically empty at this point so I didn’t have to worry about there being a queue for the water fountain. There were the odd few students who sent me a smile but other than that, it was a quick trip.
Just as I finished filling my bottle, I could hear faint footsteps but I didn’t think anything of it.
“Hey Y/N. Can I quickly talk to you?”
I turned around and there was Sunghoon standing awkwardly and avoiding eye contact with me.
“Sure, is everything alright?”
“Yeah. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to get food for us”
I was shocked at what he said. Not because he was thanking me, but because he came to talk to me first.
“No worries Sunghoon! I know you guys are stressed and you need to look after yourselves so this was the least I could do” I responded with a bright smile
And if I wasn’t shocked enough, he sent back a shy smile to me. Maybe he doesn’t hate me that much then…
We both made our way back and the rest of the guys were having a small conversation
“Hey Y/N you should come and watch us practice tomorrow” Jake suggested
“Really? I mean I guess it would be nice to see”
“Yeah! I’m gonna show noona that I’m the best player” Niki bragged and the rest of the boys started to playfully argue with each other that they were the best.
At rugby practice
The boys were warming up as I went to find a seat with the best view of them. Unfortunately for me though, I also had a view of the cheer team practicing by the field. The sight of F/N and her minions alone was enough to ruin my mood
Just then, the boys started their practice game and my attention was quickly turned to them. Seeing how well they worked together was truly amazing and it was no wonder why they were the top players in the school.
As I carried on watching them, my eyes couldn’t help but land on Sunghoon every so often. And to my surprise he started to look back at me as well and we’d hold eye contact till I’d try to divert my attention.
Their coach told them to take a break and the boys made their way over to me, where their water was. I told them how well they did and they all smiled and thanked me before jogging back onto the field. But Sunghoon stayed back a bit longer and I could see the gears turning in his head
“Do you think I did well?” He asked
I could feel the blush creeping up my cheeks as I answered him “You did amazing Sunghoon!”
He flashed the brightest smile and I thought at that moment my heart had stopped.
I was so distracted by the beautiful sight in front of me that I couldn’t feel the burning glare aimed towards me from across the field.
The next day
I could barely sleep last night. I still felt giddy about the small interaction with Sunghoon during practice yesterday. But I felt energised at the thought of seeing him again.
Wait what am I thinking?!?
No there’s no way
Do I have a crush on Sunghoon?
I mean if I do, is there anything wrong with that?
All these thoughts clouded my mind at the thought of me liking Sunghoon. But if I say anything or act on it, he might take it the wrong way. Especially since it’s taken time for me to try and build a friendship with him. Maybe I’ll just carry on as usual and not rush things. Then I can make sure that these feelings are genuine and not spontaneous.
At school
The rugby team had a meeting before lunch about their next big game that will take place a few weeks after exams are over. So I was by myself, waiting for Sunoo in the corridor when all of a sudden, I hear this agitating, grating voice (iykyk 😂)
“Oi Y/N”
I really didn’t want to bother engaging with the owner of the voice so I tried blocking her out and walking away
“Hey don’t ignore me you bitch. I need to have a word with you.”
I rolled my eyes and turned towards her
“What do you want F/N?”
“I don’t know who the hell you think you are but you better stay away from my Hoonie. He belongs to me and he doesn’t need to be constantly cornered by a desperate rat.”
“What makes you think he’s yours? Sunghoon and I are clearly just friends and we can actually have conversations together because unlike you, I treat him like a person, not some trophy to be won and shown off for my own pleasure.”
F/N laughed with pity as she snapped back “Really? You guys are friends? Come on Y/N. I know you don’t have any friends of your own which is why you stay with Sunoo all of the time. But I can see through your act. You like Sunghoon don’t you? I could tell from the way you looked like a lovesick puppy yesterday but guess what? He will never like you back because he’s way out of your league and he knows it. Think about it. Why do you think he warmed up to you so quick when you guys barely talked? He doesn’t care about you. He’s playing with you so he can have a bit of entertainment and you were just gullible enough to play into his game. So give up. He’s had his fun messing with you now and it’s time that him and I make our relationship official.”
Her words pierced through me like a knife but I wasn’t going to let her think that she could hurt me.
“Oh give me a break F/N I already said that Sunghoon and I were friends so why does it bother you so much? Is it because he at least looks at me? If you’ve been waiting so long to make your relationship ‘official’ then why hasn’t it happened yet? Just because Sunghoon hasn’t as much as spared you a glance, doesn’t mean you should take your insecurities out onto me.”
Before she could respond, I stormed off and I felt the stinging tears starting to fall. I knew that she said all of those things to purposely hurt me a try to make me back off from the boys. But she doesn’t mean shit to me and there is no way I would take that bitch’s word over theirs.
Time skip
I had finally calmed down before I got ready to meet the boys in the library. Sunoo had called me during lunch to tell me that their coach had bought the team food so I wasn’t able to see them then. The thought of seeing them made me feel slightly better and almost made me forget what F/N had said before.
When I entered the library, I saw everyone but Sunghoon with their work out and their heads down in concentration. I put on the brightest smile I could muster greeted them all, which they returned and started to hand out all of their food.
I looked up from my bag and saw Sunghoon standing stoically as it looked like he paused on his way over. I flashed him a smile, ready to show him the food I had made him but he rolled his eyes and walked away.
Sunoo was the only person that witnessed the encounter and he angrily spat “What the fuck crawled between his ass cheeks?”
I was absolutely stunned by what just happened but I still said “I don’t know but I’ll go talk to him.”
“Do you want me to go with you?” Sunoo asked
“No don’t worry. You guys carry on with what you’re doing” I gave them a quick smile before running out.
“Hey! Sunghoon is everything alright? I’ve bought you some f-”
“Stop Y/N! Why won’t you just leave me alone?” Sunghoon turned to me with a cold look on his face
“I-I’m sorry Sunghoon. I thought you’d be hungry after studying and just wanted to make sure you’re ok” I was at a loss for words with the way he was acting. Tears began to form in my eyes as he stared at me with burning hatred. Did he figure out that I might have feelings for him?
“You know I really thought you were going to be different from the rest of them. And seeing how much Sunoo adored you, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt because maybe, just maybe, you were someone we could trust. But I can see it now and I was too blind before. You’re no different to them. You’re just as desperate to try and get in between my brothers and I. And for what? For some dick? I should’ve trusted my instincts from the start but now I see how pathetic you are, thinking you could buy our friendship and try to get in our pants. It’s actually quite funny how ridiculous you are”
I could not believe the words that I was hearing. Did he really see me like this? F/N was really telling me the truth and now I look like a complete fool.
Without thinking, I slapped him across the face. The rage built up inside me after hearing his vile words and my tears started pouring down
“How fucking dare you Park Sunghoon. I did nothing to try and interfere with you and your friends. I decided to be nice to you all and make an effort because Sunoo wanted me to sit at your table. Not once before that did I ever give a flying fuck about you and your friends but seeing how nice the others were, I thought it would be worth the effort for Sunoo’s sake. I truly and deeply care about each and every one about you. Do you really think I’d put in all of this effort trying to get to know you all and wake up early to make sure you guys are fed if my goal was to just sleep with you? That is absolutely disgusting and I refuse to let anyone, especially you talk down to me like that. Before this all happened, we didn’t know shit about each other and now you think I would all of a sudden try to gain your attention now? Well I’m sorry your majesty but you need to pull that stick out of your ass and come back to Earth because surprise surprise, not everyone in this school just wants to fuck you.”
At this point I didn’t care if people were staring at me having a go at him with tears streaming down my face.
“You know, I really thought there was someone sweet under the hard facade you put up but it turns out that you really are just a cold, stuck up bastard. I can’t believe that I thought that I was starting to fall for you. But thank you for waking me from that ridiculous fantasy. Goodbye Sunghoon”
Third person’s POV
Sunghoon was left absolutely speechless the whole time as you walked away. He so desperately wanted to grab you and ask what you meant but he remained still. He really fucked this up didn’t he? He thought he was doing the right thing to protect him and his brothers but seeing how genuinely hurt you were, it was clear that he got the wrong end of the stick. How will he explain to his friends what happened, especially Sunoo.
Wait you liked him? Ah shit. All Sunghoon could think about these days was your adorable smile. The way you remembered the small details about everyone and their favourite things. How you looked at him with the softest eyes during rugby practice. He wanted to let you know how he didn’t mean what he said and that in reality, he fell for you too. But it’s too late and now you hate him.
Well done Sunghoon. You just pushed away another person who really cared for you…
Author’s note: So how are we feeling? 😅 maybe we need a part 2? 🤔😏
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my work I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoyed it
I would also like to reiterate that the way the members (especially Sunghoon) are shown in this fic has no correlation to how they really are or the way they come across to me. I love them all so much 🩵

Okay, follow me for a moment!
A little context is needed to understand the dire situation in witch I find myself.
I'm a graphic designer, I was born in Campania, Italy, but I moved very early to Bologna, still in Italy but in another region, with mom and dad who are now little more than acquaintances to me, where I spent my existence until my 22nd birthday, when I moreover found out that my idiot boyfriend was cheating on me, with his cousin.
I didn't have time to feel bad about it, because I was pretty disgusted in general. However, it wasn't that I was in love with him, I simply found myself a bit lost - with the only known relatives inhabitants of small remote little cities in the Campania hinterland, who haven't seen me in at least ten years, and a failed career as an advertising graphic designer.
Unable to maintain the hectic pace of business, not to mention the harassment and constant mansplaining I was suffering, I retreated into freelancing. By being able to manage my schedule, I could also manage me, and think about the future.
For several months I contemplated going to Spain but then one of the few friends I had left at the time, after hosting me in her house for some strange reason in Sorrento (in Campania!), always kept secret from her, proposed me to leave with her for Seoul.
It was the fashion of the moment, I had heard about it, but I was too focused on self-pity to be interested in such frivolities - as a matter of fact, while we had been planning the trip for months, I got a little obsessed myself.
She likes BTS, for me too overblown, too famous. I used to focus more on the up-and-comers, there was one band in particular, it consisted of one guy who was better looking than the other, however, not being a kpop senior yet I sometimes confused them, I couldn't even pronounce their name.
So you can imagine my excitement when, just two months after moving to Seoul, I was contacted by a Hybe agent who, after looking at my portfolio found on a website, said he was pleasantly impressed and would like something in my style, for the cover of ENYPHEN's next album, that's how he pronounced it!

After I heard him say those words over the phone I was silent, not because I was thinking about it - of course I was speechless.
It had to be some scam, it had to be! There can be no such coincidence in real life.
The man emailed me his calling card, so I could look up the information on the Internet, and a place to meet.
At Hybe's headquarters.
Are you kidding me? Ester said thus. "Do you think I would let you go alone? What if he is a maniac?"

I didn't speak Korean at the time, but I knew English pretty well, so, yes, I was able to get the job, but in the end, for some reason, my illustration was used for the SIDE B of the album, completely different, official but not primary concept version. I was quite hurt at first, but then I realized that it was already absurd to be able to work with them, I really had no complaints.
Of course, we never met either BTS or ENHYPEN, although once I went alone (I couldn't always go with Ester), I saw Beomgyu from TXT who I have a very heavy crush on, although he always gave me very strange vibes. I obviously didn't even get close to him and looked at him from a distance, however, he was in a hurry anyway, so it's not certain that he would stop.

Okay, let's move on!
After the collaboration was over, I pocketed good money, we ate takeout for at least two weeks in a row, we went in clubs all the time, while every now and then I had flashbacks of my ex-boyfriend, for whom I had begun to feel a strange empathy, as if he were mentally ill. It wasn't the cousin thing as the fact that he had no need to look for a lover - we pretty much did it all the time! It was one of the few things I did well and fucking gladly!
But maybe, I wasn't good enough?
Months passed, Ester taught me Korean, which she had taught herself, and while she was having fun with a lot of guys, I had entered a new state of paralysis. After working with Hybe I expected many requests, many contacts, would come, but instead nothing. Small jobs for small activities with small monetary and psychological rewards.
I didn't do the same as Ester not because I was demure - that adjective was never a part of me - as much as because I still couldn't understand let alone speak Korean, and not everyone knew English, so sometimes it happened that I felt uncomfortable, out of place. I managed to use the time of work paralysis to engage in study, I had to have a social life too! Independently of Ester!
Eventually I decided that for ten hours a day Ester and I could communicate only in Korean, she agreed without thinking and began the experiment. After three months I was able to speak Korean almost fluently, to the point that sometimes we did not even return to speaking Italian.
I was ready to embark on enterprising and exciting multi-ethnic relationships, socializing, and trying to understand South Korea better!
I discovered that it was a terrible place.

Not so much from the foreigner's point of view, but for the Koreans themselves, all very rigid with each other and with themselves, always competing, but also misogynistic, macho, not to mention the jokes about foreign women I heard! Terrible.
Tired of South Korea, after only a year, I talked to Ester about going back-it came out as a hypothetical, after all, I was going to do what she wanted anyway. I didn't want to be alone, and she seemed happy to live with me.
She convinced me to stay a little longer, she wanted to introduce me to her official boyfriend, a good one, really, not interested exclusively in sex! Yes, they are all like that, I had experienced it myself.
Just before I could meet him, however, the two broke up. Sad for Ester who looked devastated, but underneath happy, maybe to be able to go back to Sorrento, to breathe clean air, I consoled her for a whole night, we stayed up drinking and laughing, or crying.
Before I went to bed, in the early hours of dawn, I looked at my cell phone as usual and noticed that Hybe had texted me, again!
Sleep disappeared, I went back to Ester, who had fallen asleep on the floor in the living room, and woke her up to tell her the fantastic news, fuck, I was so excited! Who was I going to work for this time? TXT? BTS? Seventeen?
Copyright violation: that was the subject line, and oddly enough, the entire email was written completely and exclusively in Korean. I was being sued on behalf of Hybe for infringing the copyright of a Pakistan artist who had in turn sued Hybe, because of my design, and won!
What great news! I had gotten incredibly good at Korean.
"Ama, are you okay? Oh, Ama? You look pale!" Ester had said, grabbing me by the shoulders and shaking me.
"Hybe wants compensation of eight hundred million won," I had said, under my breath, incredulously, "that's like five hundred thousand euros."
"But you don't have it!"
"I know I don't have it."
"Then you can't give it to them, sue them!"
Yes, it would have been nice and easy but I had no idea how the law worked in Korea, and anyway I couldn't sue them because the contract I had signed had exactly one copyright clause in it. If I had in any way caused damage to the agency's image, through copyright infringement, I would have been called upon to compensate them one billion won, which however had been generously raised to eight hundred million, to make it easier for me, understand?
I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. Reach Mexico? Return to Italy? Apply for a loan? And would they grant it to me? Ester advised me to talk to them directly and look for a reasonable solution, offered to accompany me, but when we arranged to meet, they told me to show up alone, or with my lawyer, although this was not necessary because we would talk about it cordially.
I knew Korean quite well now, and inside Hybe practically everyone spoke English. I'll go alone.
I met the CEO himself, a man with round glasses and a kind, smiling, serene face, Park Jiwon. He told me to make myself comfortable and congratulated me for going without a lawyer, since what he was going to propose was best heard only by me.
"Changing the illustration from SIDE A to SIDE B, that was your greatest good fortune, wasn't it?" He had said, smiling in that gentle way that was now chilling.
"I am deeply sorry Mr. Park, I have never seen-"
"I know you can't pay - he had politely interrupted me, getting up from his desk and motioning his secretary to leave. - I'm here to offer you something beneficial, in which you'll always be safe and won't have to worry about, however, it's up to you to decide whether you'd rather return the money or not."
It's called the Jyp method.
Are you curious? This is a funny story.
Korean idols, whether male or female, are people of extreme beauty. It's unthinkable that they won't touch or let anyone touch them for years on end, but that's exactly what the fans want - who feel they are in complete control of their bodies.
Creepy, I realize, but it is quite normal in some parts of Asia.
So how can these poor boys "let off steam"?
The males are given a girl to live with them, together they can have as much fun as they want but within the limits of the host's safety and preferences.
For females it is a bit different but he still wanted to explain it to me, in fact for them multiple partners are needed and these partners do not live with them, but they can make appointments, as if they were gigolos working only for them.
The reason why this is used is because of scandals, any outside relationship cannot really be monitored by the agency. If girls and boys do not need to look for a stable partner and can simply take out their sexual desires on someone, the risk of scandal decreases significantly and their popularity is safe, as are the earnings on them.
In contrast to male guests, female guests tend to be a bit more problematic, which is why only one is usually chosen.
He makes it clear up front that it is forbidden to have relationships with idols, both parties must behave respectfully, and for any complaints from the guest, the agency will take appropriate action, so it is a completely safe situation, understand?
It is called the Jyp method because it was the CEO of the music label of the same name who invented it.

What do you care, you should do it! That's what I thought too, I mean - the band in question was really Enyphen! That way you won't have to pay for it anymore and you'll be hanging out with a lot of pretty boys! That's what you're thinking, it's obvious, really - I thought it first.
Yet to say yes, just offhand, I didn't feel like it.
Mr. Park told me to think about it calmly, giving me two days.
I talked to Ester about it; she did not give me any advice.
She just told me to read the contract well, this time, in case I wanted to accept it, but still she would not judge me, and then I could present them to her - even though I still knew nothing about how the matter was going to unfold.
Clearly I agreed, it was obvious, wasn't it? Otherwise we wouldn't be here.

READ THE FIRST CHAPTER:

"I'll wait for you to sober up a bit." Sighs Jay, laying towels on my arms doorways toward him.
I sincerely laugh, visibly nervous. "They call you mr. kindness?
"Look at your condition, doing it now…. - he tells me, lowering his gaze as he strokes my cleavage exposed by the plunging neckline of my humble t-shirt with his index finger. - It would be so easy."
"I don't have to if I don't want to." I remind him, dazed, now less by the alcohol than by him.
My breath is suddenly short, even though I'm not looking at his face I can see his neck, his pronounced jaw, the way his skin fills with breath, puffing up his broad chest, even too much seen so closely.
"True, but since you won't be able to refuse for another four days, I'd really take it - he explains almost in a whisper, as his fingers move over my neck, then pick up strands of hair to tuck behind my ear - on the personal."
"Not… care."
"Do you really want to lose your only ally here? In fact, the strongest."

I smile amused, isn't she going to have inferiority complexes or something? The situation in the house didn't seem that desperate at all, but it's true that I haven't spent even twenty-four hours in here and Jay doesn't seem like a fool to me, though, I mean…
I suddenly lift my gaze: shouldn't I think better of it instead? After all, I'm going to sleep with someone else sooner or later anyway, and it's not certain that "this" is intended as a bargaining chip for others as well - so if there really was a strange situation in this apartment, I could at least think of myself with an ally.
"Do you understand? You will give weight to my words when you see it."
"What's going on? I can still … try to get out of it…."
"That made you give up so quickly? And I was trying to persuade you nicely." He grins in surprise.
I shift my eyes in embarrassment. "You're putting pressure on me."
"I know." He says, and his hands begin to slide down my exposed arms. His touch is slow and heavy, I can feel every millimeter of my body under his fingertips.
"T-Then stop doing that."
"I think I will - he says. - If that's the situation, I should just take advantage of it, right?"
How? How dare he? First he offends me, then he calls me an object practically, then he decides to take such liberties, like lifting my t-shirt a few inches from my bra, and in all this, I don't react. It's not the alcohol, I know.
I can smell him perfectly, it's not perfume, he smells like a man. He hasn't showered yet, probably, but his fragrance is aphrodisiac as it penetrates my nostrils and seems to engulf me in a spell.
And to say they make a lot of memes about his hygiene - if only they knew how untrue it is!
Jay grabs me by the hips, lifts me onto the sink. Before he kisses me he looks at me, perhaps still seeking my consent, but my eyes are already full of him and I don't care enough whatever he thinks of me to pull back. I'm the one who instinctively pushes my lips against his, he doesn't pull back either, instead he tightens his tapering fingers behind the back of my neck, pressing my head against his face.
He bites my lips, caresses my hips, kisses my neck. I barely catch my breath between kisses, he's especially passionate, I don't quite understand what's going on but I feel like I'm on fire, like I have a fever. Deep down, I didn't think I could ever be in a situation like this, realistically.
To be able to see the pores of his skin, to feel his touch, to know what his lips taste like, it's all simply divine.
"Are you at least good at it?" He whispers, pressing his mouth to my ear as he clings to the elastic of my black leggings.
"Let's hope so." A shy tone comes out in my voice.
I hear him chuckle, it's pleasant, I don't know why.
"Hold on to me." He says, handing me his shoulders to which I meekly cling, he uses the opportunity to slip off my pants, I am left in my underwear in seconds. He looks into my eyes, then at my breasts, I feel it even fuller and more beautiful under his eyes, then he places his hand on my hip, grasping it.
"Don't… look at me like that." I whisper with shame.
"I like it to the point of annoyance."
I stare at him, feeling like smiling but for some reason not following my instincts. "Really?"
"I don't tell lies."
He unhooks my bra and caresses my modest breasts with his cheek. He bites the nipple rather aggressively, to the point that I gasp in pleasurable pain, but he abruptly uses his tongue to treat the wound, and only confused, stifled moans come out of my mouth.
"Really? From now on," I say, bravely sinking my fingers into his hair, clutching him to my chest for him to keep licking, to make me gasp like this, "if you tell even one lie, I won't believe anything you've told me."
"The all-or-nothing rule is fallacious, you know?" He asks, amused, as he sucks my breast, squeezes it, massages it.

I am completely defeated, voluntarily surrendering to his will.
After taking me in his arms like I don't weigh, he pushes me against the wall. We kiss again, and I am increasingly addicted. His kisses are impetuous, his tongue is expert, moving slowly, and as a few drops of pleasure slip between my thighs I can feel his fingers exploring my intimacy.
He puts in only two but they are enough to make me gasp again. I cling as if desperately, I don't do it on purpose, but it is hard to enjoy so much in such a position, and although his grip is firm and he holds me even with his leg as his swollen sex rests in my thigh, I still feel precarious.
He's different from all the guys I've been with; it's like I'm experiencing new sensations. It's not like I've never had a one-night stand with a beautiful boy, as in this case, and it's nothing more than that (aside from the fact that he is an established celebrity from one of the most famous bands in South Korea), sure, but maybe deep down I'm living every fan's dream of this guy.
I'm not a little girl anymore, I delude myself it's different but this situation is really dangerous, didn't the Hybe agents foresee this? I find it hard to believe that a rich, independent woman would still be able to handle something like this.
What if I became so infatuated with them that I wanted to ruin them? Well, maybe the Hybe goons would kill me.
But maybe that's okay, because then the woman loses so much value that she can never be anything to them - or even a problem for the company. What will remain will be the end of a delulu era and a few tears, but it will still be a funny page in my life, albeit a dangerously borderline one.
"I'll put it in, okay?" He says, pressing his lips to my cheek, he's laughing, still doing it.
I nod, lost in him now.
"You don't talk much, during…" He says, as I feel him rest his cock on my opening, then willingly let it slip a little between my large lips, which moisten it.
"I would just say - I moan, surprised to feel him enter suddenly and before I can finish the sentence, using my fingernails to grip his bare skin - obscenities."
"I want to feel them."
Man, man.
It's a little girl thing, isn't it? My heart is pounding.
I don't have time to notice because his pelvis literally punctuates the rhythm of my breathing, I feel him enter me with ferocity, it's as if he uses his whole body to pound into me, I feel full to my sternum.
I hold on tight, I don't want him to stop, I really don't want him to stop.
"S-Slower…" I try to say, slurring my words.
"And why?" He whispers amusedly, as if he already understood.
It sounds bad to say I'm desperate, doesn't it? I am desperate because of him, I never want him to stop, I need this moment to last longer, I want to feel him in my belly, along with the butterflies I haven't had in so long, he shakes them all.
He lifts me abruptly, to better weld his grip, but what I sense is only how he pulls his length out of me, inserting it again and abruptly inside me, trembling because of him.
My breathing is desperate, my gaze blank, he is desperate. He's not lucid either, I can see it in the way he squeezes his eyes shut, the way he breathes erratically, the drops of sweat that bead his forehead, too focused on the pleasure we are sharing.
Is the clock still ticking? I don't understand it, I don't know anymore.
"Ah… Jay… - I swallow, my mouth is full of saliva, like I'm hungry, resting my chin on his shoulder as his steady, assaultive strokes bounce me back onto him holding me by my thighs, resting his hands on my buttocks as he steals one kiss after another - more…more…"
"Please ask." He whispers so close to my ear again.
"Ple…please …"
He means it, maybe because I asked so pitifully, but he manages to go even faster than he has so far, and I don't understand how he doesn't sound the least bit tired after all this time holding me up.
I can't control my voice anymore, I feel him deeper and deeper inside me, the more he moves the more my breathlessness increases. It may be because he is a dancer, a professional, but what kind of stamina is this?
I can't even control my body anymore, I start to convulse, I need to stretch, he's going too fast, so fast I can't even hear my own thoughts. I see him take on a strange expression, very focused but also in pain. I am too focused on his beauty to realize it - ""luckily"" he notices and puts me down.
He's pulled it out, holding his majestic cock with his hand, breathing deeply. I am confused, guilty.

I was too involved to remind him that I take the pill on Hybe's orders.
I look at him wearily, as strands of hair dampened by sweat and the warmth of the bathroom, which normally shouldn't have such a high temperature without even having bathed, slip past my distraught eyes.
"Oh, what an ass." He says in a relieved tone.
"W-What?"
"I didn't want to come yet." He explains.
Yes, it's great, but I can't look away. What is… that stuff? Was it really that big? Is that why I felt it all the way to my sternum? Should I stop staring at it? I can't, anyway.
"Do you like it?" He asks, still holding it up and turning his body toward me.
Guilty.
"So what do you say…" with his gaze he points to his cock, big and veiny, perhaps the first I've seen of this kind, in Korea.
He doesn't say anything else, his smirk is enough for me to realize that I will bend on my knees, prostrate myself to him helplessly, it doesn't matter anymore who he is, or I am, there is nothing else in this moment, in the world.
It is strange, my heated skin makes contact with the cold floor but not a shiver. The heat is inside my body, burning like a forest has just been given to the stake, every inch of my skin is on fire because of him.
I can smell my scent mixed with his as soon as I take him in my hand, and as I languidly lift my gaze to his, Jay caresses my head. He doesn't push it, he doesn't need to, he knows I'll do what I can, I want my lips to be able to touch his pubes, although judging by the thickness and partly by the length, that will prove to be a tall order.
"Good." He says, as I begin to lick him, moving his hand from my hair to my face.
Why? That annoying fluttering again. No Amanda, don't let your daddy issues take over, deal with it in a mature way, don't brood over it.
I do what I can, it's not easy to take it all in my mouth, my hand tightens around the base, moving with the movement of my lips, for a second I swallow over half its length, and a second later I pull it out with difficulty, as lines of saliva build bridges between me and him. I want to go deeper, I want to have more.
I hear him moaning, differently than before, now he is not exerting any force, pressure, he is completely free to surrender to the pleasure and as he lifts his chin making almost guttural sounds, I can only continue, inch by inch, to have more and more.
Perhaps I don't want him to think me inexperienced, perhaps I want him to have a good memory of it so that I can once again take advantage of him, of his body.
When I suffocate, literally, because of him, I see him burst out laughing as gently pulls my head away from his sex. "You did good, now let me do it."
Did he laugh at me? I failed, I guess.
And so he grabs both my hips, spinning me around, this time my back is to him and I can't look at his face, a little sorry. At the same time, however, feeling him knead my ass, as his intimacy presses against mine again, reddened and swollen, because of him, erases all doubt.
"Are you on the pill?"
"A-Ah… - I stammer, continuing to do so in front of him, starting to annoy me - yes."
"That's great. You know, you shouldn't tell other people…" He advises me, though it doesn't have the dispassionate tone of a recommendation at all, but of threatening advice, as he plunges it into my humors, suddenly.
I groan, it's inevitable. "M-Maybe I will, m-m….maybe I won't…"
That no from me is enough for him to gather my hair, twisting it in his hand, tightening it like a rope, pulling it, but I feel no pain. "Now you don't beg anymore?"
He pulls me to himself, arching my back I can feel his size even more, inside my belly, inside my body. "No…"
Jay doesn't answer, at least in words, because he begins to charge animalistically into me, he is more comfortable, he can force his legs up and you can feel it all, the force I mean. My body bounces like lifeless on the rhythm of the song that produces his. Yes, because his every movement is music to me at this moment.
After long, intense minutes, what comes out of my mouth are inhuman verses, a mix of tiredness, weakness and total addiction. My body is devastated, because of him. I feel like convulsing, he holds me by the arms, I have my cheek resting against the now-warm marble of the sink.
I hear him gasp louder, then hold back, I know what is happening, I can feel it because my belly has just warmed up. After a long stream of warm pleasure inside me, Jay stays still, breathing or trying to at least.
I am exhausted, to the point that as soon as he slides out of me, I fall to my knees. I am devastated, physically as much as psychologically, because it hasn't felt this good in a long time, no, maybe it never has. It's a first for me, in a way.
"Are you… okay?" He asks me, as he lifts up his black pants, which have fallen to his ankles the whole time.
"Yes…"
"Really?" He holds out his hand to me, seeming to recover.
I still have his humors dripping down my inner thigh, but he looks at me as if nothing has happened. "Really."
Afterwards, he explains to me how to use the bathroom, we manage to talk normally, or rather, he acts normal, and this sincerely gives me the feeling of being a colleague, wanting to be nice. I spoke little, still in shock.
"If I'm already asleep when you come back, wake me up. I'll move."
"I'll try not to." I smile weakly, still tired.
"If you touch me when you sleep, it's okay. Just not too close."
"I'm not going to-"
He freezes me, puts a finger over my mouth, presses it so that I stop moving my lips. "Lock up, anyway."

When I walk him to the door, Jay heads to his room but I can't help noticing there's someone else across the hall, I turn away when I sense his presence closer.
"Have you started yet?" He asks, surprised but amused, I think.
"Ah…no. I mean-"
"Even if you are here for that, you could have waited a while."
I was wrong, I'm a pest to him, too.
It's not that I'm surprised, they may be handsome and famous, but they are men, and men are strangely too equal to each other, as if in an unspoken camaraderie. There will be different ones and there will be good ones, I'm sure, but I haven't met any yet, so they must be very few.
However, being a fan myself, I feel bad about it. I mean, it's normal for me to feel bad about giving such an idea to people I like so much. Besides, I had a different idea about him, I thought that he himself would be the least critical - but why did I think that?
At the very least, I reflect, seeing them like this will make the mystical and pure aura that hovers around them fade away in my eyes.
"I do what I'm here to do." I answer him, suddenly fearless, my pride is blatantly wounded.
"It was just a advice, why do you get hot?" Heeseung asks, laughing and moving closer.
"I'm not warming up."
He is one step away from me when he stops. "Don't wear it, I read it ruins tits." He advises me again.
I chase the direction of his gaze, right - even though I'm dressed I'm not wearing a bra, and judging by my nipples, it shows. "But…"
"You wore it before, didn't you?"
Now I look him in the eye, it devastates me but I try to maintain some form of dignity by remaining serious.
I am too embarrassed to realize how beautiful he is up close.
"What do you want?"
"I'm giving you another advice."
I step back into the doorway, not quite lucid enough for him to make fun of me, and no matter how much just looking at him makes me feel like the center of a tornado, he's annoying me.
Heeseung puts his foot in the door before I can close it. "You don't listen to advice, do you?"
"Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Actually, I feel my privacy has been violated by a stranger."
"Then ask them to send me away, maybe they will listen to you. You're quite authoritative, aren't you? You're Lee Heeseung."

He smiles, as if pitying me, but why should he? "By the way, you said you were a fan, who is your bias?"
Ah. I didn't expect this one, he really changed the subject, putting me in an uncomfortable situation.
Suddenly my hands begin to tingle and my body to boil-essentially, by spending time with Jay, I have normalized that these people in front of me are Enhypen, and that I am still obsessed with each of them.
Why am I blushing? Am I an idiot?
"I don't have it."
"Liar, you took a long time to answer."
"N-No, I mean it."
"Ah, you don't say that because it's really me?" He asks me, with an innocent expression and a dazzling smile, I seem to melt in front of him.
I giggle in confusion. "You wish."
"So you don't want to go against the others? Is that why you won't tell me? Look, I'm not a snitch."
Is he trying to convince me as if I were a child? Ah, that's annoyingly adorable.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Because it seems like an interesting experiment. An engene, in our dormitory, to have free access to every member - she nods, raising her eyebrows convincingly, I continue to stare at the perfect shape of her smiling lips - she will try to conquer her bias, no? I'd like to observe him."
I laugh, genuinely. Can I believe that he doesn't know? Or is it precisely because he knows that he wants to observe him?
Conquer? But who am I supposed to conquer in my situation? It's hard enough to find a normal guy with an open mind, should talented kids who expect everything to be owed to them be?
"Are you kidding me?"
"Just a little." His laughter fades into a warm smile.
And of course, he knows.
"So why did you want to know?"
"Because I'm curious, by nature I guess."
"Then I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you'll never get an answer."
He removes his foot, not seeming at all impressed by my knockout response, but whatever, I close the door without even saying goodbye. Now that I am finally alone, leaning against the sink again, I look at myself in the mirror.
My heart is about to burst, my brain is the on the verge of its worst short-circuit, my muscles are trembling.
Did this really happen? All of this? With Jay? With his…body? And that fits into the korean standard? What about Heeseung? Wasn't he a little too handsome? I can feel it, at this rate I'll end up going crazy.

The familiar feeling of emptiness flooded his body. Sunghoon’s eyes were lifeless as the they gazed at the coffin where his sister’s remains lay.
This was the same feeling he had when his father’s mistress left him at his biological father’s mansion.
He felt the coldness of his father towards him. He felt the hatred of his father’s wife. He saw disappointment in his grandparents’ faces.
He was unloved and unwanted, it was a no brainer.
For a six-year-old child, it was all too much to take. When he was living with his mother, he was treatedlike shit. And when he lived with his father, there was no difference at all. It’s no wonder why he became wary of people. He wouldn’t want to talk to anyone, nor be in the same room as them. He would only go out to eat and return to his room to lock himself up. He even thought back then that his existence was big bad joke.
But one day, a girl with the same dark brown eyes as his went inside his room and forced him to leave the house and drink up some sunshine. He had no other choice but to follow the girl because she would never let go of his hand.
Truth to be told, Sunghoon found the girl irritating, he wanted to hurt her. But when she said that she was his sister and that she would protect him from all evil, he was left speechless. Because for the first time in years, there was a person who wanted to protect him. Her older sister’s smile made him cry, not because of sadness, but because of happiness.
He let out a hollow laugh. He will never see those smiles of her sister ever again. Those good old times would now be just a mere memory.
He slightly turned his head when he heard someone familiar talking behind him. Sunghoon’s jaw clenched as he stared at the cause of his beloved sister’s death, Lee Heeseung. His bestfriend and her sister’s boyfriend.
With heavy feet, he stood up and approached the guy and his father who he was talking to.
“You’re not welcome here, Lee Heeseung. Leave” His voice was hard and heavy.
“Park Sunghoon!” His father reprimanded.
“Uncle, can you please give us a minute? We’re just going to talk.”
“If you want to explain what happened, then let me tell you that you’re just wasting your time.” He said, blankly, not showing an ounce of emotion to the guy in front of him.
“Please, Sunghoon, listen to me. I didn’t want all of this to happen. I-I’m sorry.” Heeseung sounded so pathetically contrite, making him want to vomit.
“So you want me forgive you just like that, Heeseung?” He sarcastically remarked. Heeseung shook his head with a sigh and looked at Sunghoon with pleading eyes once again.
“I know it was partly my fault, and I am also hurting, Sunghoon. You know how much I love your sister, and I wouldn’t ask for this to happen.”
“You wouldn’t ask for this to happen?” He sharply retorted what the guy said. “It was the middle of the fucking night, yet you asked her to go out riding in your stupid car. You asked her to leave even if it was already late. Clearly, you asked for this the happen! You are the reason why my sister is lying there!” He lashed out, pointing at the coffin where her sister’s lifeless body lie.
“It was our anniversary! I invited her out because I wanted to surprise her!” Heeseung’s left hand balled into a fist he was sure the right one would do the same if it weren’t in a sling due to the accident.
“Yeah, and because of that stupid surprise, my sister died.” He saw the look of hurt in his best friend’s eyes, but the pain that he is seeing wasn’t enough for him. He wanted to beat the shit out of Heeseung and kill him with his bare hands, but that would be too easy.
“I didn’t know that a drunk driver would appear and hit us! If only I knew… I-if only I knew…” Heeseung’s eyes reddened with pain.
Sunghoon’s greeted his teeth, turning away. “Leave.”
“Sunghoon, please….”
“Just leave!” he hissed. “Leave and don’t ever show your face to me ever again.” He said in a serious tone.
“Sunghoon?” He was quick to turn his head towards the source of the voice. There stood Y/n, standing next to Heeseung as she anxiously glanced back and forth between the two. “Why would you say that to my brother?”
His lips pressed firmly with a stern expression. “Because his idea of a pleasant surprise is a bad joke.”
That was all he said before returning to his seat. He didn’t bother to look at the two again, and he wasn’t able to see Y/n’s eyes widen in surprise. He only heard the faint farewells of the two to his father.
Once again, Sunghoon confined in his own lonely world. He feels like he was cursed and happiness was forcefully denied to him. Losing his sister who helped him break free from his dark world was painful.
Losing a friend that he considered a family was painful.
Losing the woman he had learned to love was painful.
In just a snap, he lost the people who gave color to his world.

10 years later…
The service crew was very attentive, Sunghoon noticed. The place was modern and cozy. He hadn’t taste any of the pastries yet, but they looked appetizing. All in all, the bakeshop was pretty impressive. There’s no wonder why a lot of people go here.
On the other hand, it was quite a surprise that he’s in the shop. This was the first time he set foot in this place.
He wouldn’t bother to come if it weren’t for something important, especially since the owner of this bakeshop is the sister of someone he despises.
Yes, he knew you owned this place.
Your town is small enough for him to not know that. So, why the hell would he choose to meet someone in your haven of all places? There was a ninety-nine percent chance of him seeing you there. But what can he do about it?
His ‘oh so noble father’ commanded him to meet with the girl he liked for him. Obviously wanting him to settle down already. And because that he is the only son of his beloved father, he has no right to oppose to it.
He felt his phone rang and he answered.
“Yes?”
“Hey, Mr. Park.”
Said the girl on the other line. The voice sound forcefully seductive it sounded cheap to his ear.
“May I know who’s on the other line?”
Sunghoon asked lazily and almost rolled his eyes.
“This is Shin Yuna. I’m the one you’re meeting at the bakery in town.”
His eyes went searching for a woman who was on the phone, probably speaking with him. At the door he saw a woman wearing a tight-fitting yellow dress. The woman had a phone pressed to one ear, her eyes scanning the inside of the shop. Looks like she was the one he’s waiting for.
He ended that call once her eyes landed on him. Evidently, she’d recognize him. A sensual smile appeared on her bloody red lips and she started walking towards him.
He should feel lucky because the woman was a catch. Her skin was smooth and fair, she had shiny, long hair. And in his opinion, aside from her hourglass figure, the girl’s flawless legs were her best asset, free from any scars.
She was gorgeous all right. But it doesn’t have an impact on Sunghoon.
Yuna must be one of those girls who are pretty on the outside, empty in the inside. Beautiful but annoying and boring.
He stood up as the girl approached. He offered his hand but she didn’t take it. Instead, she leaned to give him a kiss on his cheek. Okay, he wasn’t at all shocked by that.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Park” she greeted
“The pleasure is all mine, Miss Shin.”
“Please, call me Yuna.” She said with a wide almost flirty smile. “Then call me Sunghoon.” He motioned her to the seat in front of him. “Please, have a seat.”
“Thank you, have you ordered anything yet” she said as she sat.
Sunghoon shook his head. “Not yet, I was waiting for you. And it’s my first time here, I don’t know what food to choose.” Her hand rested on his arm and he wasn’t born yesterday to not know that she was openly flirting with him.
“Oh Really? You should try their famous gyeran-ppang. It’s a fluffy loaf of bread with a whole egg inside. It’s really good, I suggest you try it.”
Sunghoon suddenly remembered you, gyeran-ppang was your favorite ever since. Be it sweet of savory. He didn’t expect that those two could be brought together.
“If you liked it, maybe I should try it.” He simply said, trying to push away the memories. Yuna’s eyes sparkled, and he wanted to roll his eyes, but Sunghoon retrained himself. What was an hour of enduring this infront of her, right?
“Okay, I’ll just go to the counter to order, since this is a self-service shop.” Yuna said as he noticed a slight frown on her face. “I hope next time they hire waiters here so customers won’t have to go to the counter to do the job.”
Ah, he knew it.
His assumptions were correct, the girl only visually pleasing. Deep inside, she was a typical rich brat. He found his father’s taste in girl quite funny.
“It’s like hitting two birds with one stone. The service would be aster, plus it would provide jobs for jobless people. That way, more customers would go here, and it would reduce the number of unemployed people.” She annoyingly added further.
God help him stop himself from sneering. As if he’d believe that shit. What could this girl possibly know about work and helping other people?
“Yeah, you’re right.” He answered dryly. “I’ll order, I’m the guy here and I should be the one treating you and taking care of things.”
She sweetly smiled at him once again. “Why, thank you, Sunghoon. I’ll have two gyeran-ppang and one iced coffee. And please ask for a fork and knife while you’re at it.”
“Alright.” He gave her a small smile and quickly stood up, immediately walking his way to the counter to escape his date. He wished the serving of their food would last longer, but the workers in the shop were indeed good at what they do. In less than six minutes. He was back at his table with Yuna waiting for him.
“Go ahead and try it.” She urged him to sit down as their order was served. He took a bit of the gyeran-ppang and he instantly knew why it became popular in the area.
“It’s good right?” He simply nodded in response. Yuna then picked up the bread knife and fork that he requested earlier and used them to eat.
“Why use a fork and knife? It’s a finger food.” He couldn’t help but to ask.
“Oh, eating it with my fingers would be a mess, and my lipstick would smudge if I eat it directly.” Sunghoon avoided raising the corners of if his lips.
“I see. I’m surprised that you eat food like this and have that kind of body.” Yuna let out a shy laugh at his statement.
“I’m very conscious with what I eat, but when I tried this a few weeks ago, I forgot the diet. I even bought boxes of it for the orphanage that we were helping, And the kids loved it too.”
She was trying to impress him by mentioning the word orphanage? Would it be a bad idea to laugh? Or was he being too hard on this girl? After all, what did he know about Yuna? He didn’t even bother to make an effort to find out about the girl’s demeanor before coming here. Is her values really worth his time? Sunghoon bit his lip to stop himself from commenting something he’d regret saying later on.
Sunghoon glanced at the entrance of the bakeshop and he swore he felt his heart pounded. A pang of nostalgia when he saw a familiar figure arrive.
You were like an angel minus the wings and the halo. You were wearing a simple with dress that gave you sweet and innocent look. He didn’t expect that you would become even more beautiful than you are over the years. Your rosy white skin was flawless, he longed to touch it. Your lips were full and naturally pink. He almost tasted those once and he suddenly had this urge to kiss you.
He sighed forcefully, everything about him was cold earlier but he felt so damn hot in an instant just by seeing you. He wanted to own you, he wanted to make you his.
Sunghoon felt his heart race at he continued to stare at your face, feeling the rush of warmth in his body.
The beautifully scattered moles on your face made you look more unique ang exquisite to him. Back then, Sunghoon thought he could spend the rest of his life just by looking at your lovely face. Your beautifully sculpted brown eyes with thick and long lashes were still bright and full of life. He wanted to lose himself one day while looking at those hypnotic vivid orbs.
You walked you way towards the counter and greeted your staff with a bright smile.
The sun’s heat was nothing compared to the warmth of your smile. You were like the sun, only brighter, with inky black hair shining.
Now that’s his kind of pretty. You would always be his kind of pretty. Your beauty was ethereal, it was second to none in Sunghoon’s eyes. He mustered all his strength to look away from the person who evoked such emotions from him.
He tried to put his focus on the person in front of him, but his eyes would occasionally wander back to you.
“So, what are you busy with these days?” He heard Yuna asked him.
“Work, I guess.” He shrugged. “We export high quality mangoes to our neighboring countries.”
“Oh. Yeah, my parents and I visited your mango farm once. And I must say, your place is very refreshing.”
“Thank you, how about you? What your work?” He asked to have something to talk about, not because he wanted to know.
Yuna took a sip of her iced coffee before responding.
“I’m an interior designer, I often have famous celebrities as my client.” She said, feeling proud. “You know that one actor in squid game? He was my last client. Tell you what, his mansion was large, so I was very happy that I got the project.”
He tried his best not to look bored.
What does he care about celebrities? He hadn’t even watched this movie that she was talking about. But he needed to endure all this for two reasons. First, he didn’t want to be rude no matter how his inner demon wished to be. And second, to distract himself from your presence.
His only problem now is how will he hide himself from the owner of this bakery.
—
“Hey, Ning. How are you all doing?” You asked your worker working on the cashier as you entered the counter.
“We’re doing fine, Y/n. It was a bit of a hassle earlier because there were loads of customers, but it was overall doing alright. I mean, what’s a little hassle when you can earn profit, right?” Ningning said, smiling widely.
You giggled. “Yes, true. Sorry for being late, I wasn’t able to help you here. I just had something to take care of back home.”
“No, Y/n. It’s all good, you’re the boss here after all. You don’t have to worry about a single thing, we got you.” She said reassuringly, smiling softly at you.
“Yeah, Y/n. Besides, we know you’re going through something tough right now. How was everything anyway?” Sunoo, your amazing barista, asked. You sighed deeply before answering the young man.
“It’s not settled yet, our ranch is still a mess.”
“Oh, Y/n. Don’t be down like that, you’re going to get through everything sooner than you think.” You just smiled a Sunoo’s statement.
You needed money to rebuild the barn. You needed to hire new workers to manage the ranch. It could all be solved with money, but the problem is you don’t have much of it.
Ever since your parents died few years ago, your brother took over the management of the estate.
But what can Heeseung do when half of his life was into car racing? Even you don’t know how to run a ranch because your job is making different kinds of delicious bread. Before you and Heeseung could even realize it, the inheritance your parents left you both was slowly falling apart.
And now you and your brother wanted to save the precious land. You would give all the earning from the bakeshop just to make it work, but it was just wasn’t enough. You and Heeseung tried going to the banks, but they turned you down every time you tried. Your brother doesn’t want your house or land as collateral.
You were thankful for the people working for your shop as they wholeheartedly give you their support.
“Thank you for comforting my, guys. Don’t worry, if everything settles down, I’ll definitely throw a party.” They all cheered as you smiled.
You went out to fix the displays in the counter. You didn’t notice someone passing by, making you bump into them.
“I’m sorry,” You apologized, realizing that you bumped into a woman. She quickly brushed off the area you bumped into and gave you a sharp look.
“Next time, watch where you’re going.” She turned to look at the person next to her and whispered.
“Sunghoon, let’s go?”
You felt like you were turned into stone and it looks like Sunghoon felt the same way. It seems like he was frozen in place where he stood, his gaze solely fixed on you.
But it seemed like you’re mistaken because when you looked closely at the man, his face had no expression at all.
He had changed, but not really. He was still the same Sunghoon. Only stronger, leaner, harder, darker, and more attractive. It scared you, he scared you. Yet, you wanted to reach out and talk to him. But to your utter dismay, he just walked past you. And before you knew, he was long gone. Again.

Sunghoon kept telling himself that he was not a stalker, but it had been five days and this was his fifth time your bakeshop. He just couldn’t go inside. So for those five days, he contented himself with parking in front of your shop, and watching from inside his car.
When he saw you again, he had a big idea in mind, and yes, that was the reason why he kept going to your bakeshop. Sadly, he would always go home without seeing you.
He couldn’t help overhearing the conversation between you and your employees. Their table wasn’t that far from the counter so it was inevitable. He was surprised that you didn’t notice him right away. But if Sunghoon were to talk about surprising things, what he heard was even more surprising.
It looked like karma found its way to Lee Heeseung. He should be happy about it and somehow, he was.
Heeseung took something from him, someone important, so Sunghoon should take someone important from him too.
A sister for a sister. An eye for an eye.
He glanced at his watch and told himself that this should be the perfect time. He got out of his car and walked straight towards the bakeshop. It was already past eight o’clock, but the bakeshop was still almost full.
He noticed the two service crew he saw last time, staring at him, but they immediately turned their backs on him. He approached them.
“Told you, the person inside the black car that is always parked in front of the shop isn’t a bad person. Look at him, he’s too handsome to be a bad person.” He heard the girl he assumed the name was Ningning.
“Seriously? Just because someone isn’t physically attractive doesn’t mean they’re a bad person, you know? And not everyone who looks good is automatically good. You’re being too judgmental.” Sunoo rebuked.
“And what thing could he possibly do, huh?” Ningning asked sarcastically.
“Hello? Ever heard of the saying ‘looks can be deceiving’?” Sunghoon tried not to smirk. Because their backs were facing him, they weren’t able to notice him approaching a while ago.
“Excuse me?” He said, gaining attention from the two. Ningning turned around, her eyes slightly widened.
“Yes, Sir? How can we help you?” Despite the surprise, she quickly regained her composure.
Sunghoon gave her a slight smile. “Um, I’m looking for Y/n. Is she here?” He noticed the two exchanged glances as Ningning seemed a bit hesitant before responding.
“May I ask what’s your relation to Miss Y/n, Sir?”
“I’m a friend. I’d like to have a word with her.”
“Miss Y/n is still in her office.” He saw her co-worker elbowed her, but he didn’t pay much attention to it. “If you’d like, you can have a seat while waiting for her.”
“Okay, Thank you.” He said, walking around the shop to find a comfortable seat. And he couldn’t help but to overhear their conversation once again.
“Friend? Then why am I just seeing him now?”
“I don’t know. He seems nice to me even though he looks a bit harsh.”
“Oh well. Good thing Jake is not here or else he might get jealous.”
For some godforsaken reason, he found his heart tightening at the name he just heard. Who was this Jake guy that might get jealous over him? Is it your Suitor? Boyfriend? Fiance? Sunghoon clenched his jaw. Just imagining another man touching a strand of your inky black hair made him feel sick.
He sat on an empty table near the counter and patiently waited there.
“Ningning, Sunoo, I’m leaving. Will you two be alright staying?” Said the enticing voice near the counter. He glanced over and saw you there.
“Call me whenever something happened, alright? I’ll get going.”
“Oh, Y/n! someone is looking for you.” Ningning said before she forgot. Your brows furrowed as you looked Ningning with a puzzled expression.
“Who?”
Sunghoon stood up and spoke. “Me.” He watched your eyes grow wide with shock as he walked towards you. “Can we talk?”
“I… Of course.” You absent-mindedly nodded. You pointed at the room where you came from. “Let’s go to my office.”
The air tensed up the moment you both entered your office. You sat on your chair as Sunghoon took the visitor’s chair. His eyes were trained on your face while you were looking down on your lap. No one dared to speak. It was dead quiet inside the room, a silent standstill.
Sunghoon decided not to make rhings more awkward. “It’s been a while Y/n.” Great, you suck at opening conversations, man. He honestly wanted to smack himself.
You looked up and your eyes met. “Yeah, it has been a while. How are you?” You slightly smiled at him.
“I’m doing great. You? How are you? I heard your having problems at the ranch.” He paused at what he said. It made him wonder if he was rushing the conversation.
“How did you know?” You asked hesitantly. “The town is a small place, Y/n.” She firmly pressed her lips together. For someone sweet and innocent-looking, you could be fiery too.
“Yes, there’s a big problem at the ranch, but it would be solved in no time.”
“Really?” He raised an eyebrow at the intensity he heard in your voice. “According to what I’ve heard, you were having troubles finding the money needed to fix things on your ranch. So, I came here to offer a proposal.” He leaned on the chair and watched your confused face. You were always this transparent, it’s likely that you now think he’s going crazy.
“What proposal?” You asked with confusion written all over your face.
“I will lend the money you need for the ranch, but you have to marry me.” His simple answer seemed like he was just inviting you to go out ang have a picnic. You looked at him with an unreadable expression before you respond.
“I’m going to what?!”
“You heard me.” He knew it was unnecessary because she could always reach him if she wanted to. But Sunghoon still took a business card from his wallet and placed it on the table.
“I want you to think about it. Call me whenever you made up your mind.”
You stood up from your seat and looked at him with hard eyes. “If you’re just playing around like you used to do, just leave, Sunghoon. Don’t waste my time.”
He also stood up to remind you of the significant height difference you both had.
“I’m not fooling around, Y/n. I’m dead serious.”
“Then why? Why would you want to marry me?” You asked, still stunned be his offer.
“For revenge, I guess? I’ll lend your dear brother the money to help with the recovery of your ranch. But after that, you will cut ties with him. You can’t meet him nor even talk to him.” He took a deep breath before letting out the next heavy words.
“He took my sister from me, I will take you away from him. It’s my kind of revenge.”
“You’re crazy.”
“Oh, yeah?” He smirked but once again quickly turned serious. “Whose fault is that?”
“Why would you think would I agree to that?” You tilted you chin up, trying to defy him. Too bad, it was futile. The corner of his mouth went up again. “Because you’ve got no other option.”
“You’re insane.”
“Crazy? Insane? Well, maybe you could come up with something more colorful after this.” He grabbed your nape and captured you sinfully pink lips. The table wasn’t able to hinder him from giving you something that would shake your world.
—
Your heart was pounding as you proceeded to enter your house. You still couldn’t believe what just happened thirty minutes ago. The Sunghoon whom you secretly love, and the friend who suddenly left you and your brother returned to shake up your world once again.
One slap wasn’t enough for what he did to you. And he has the audacity to be the one walking out after his recklessness.
You touched your lips. Until now, you still feel the young man’s kiss and the warmth of his lips brushing against yours. It was a shocking first time and definitely a memorable one. But despite all that, you felt butterflies in your stomach.
You took a deep breath before walking to the kitchen to get something to drink. But on your way, your gaze drifted towards the study room. The room was slightly ajar. You approached and entered.
You saw your brother sitting on the swivel chair with his eyes closed. He looks beat and tired and it pained you. If there’s only something you could do to help solve this problem, you had already done it.
Then it hit you. You could do something to help you dear brother and fix the problem. Only, there was a price to pay.
It has already been ten years since Sunghoon’s sister died. Maybe it’s time for you to do something to make him forgive your brother and move on. Maybe you could at least give him a bit of happiness, maybe you could do something to bring him back to his old self.
You glanced at your brother. Please, trust me on this.
It would be hard, you knew. But you needed to do something to save them all.

“We’re here,” Sunghoon announced. “Nervous?”
You looked out the car window and surveyed the grand mansion that would become your new home. Your heart was racing, and you felt like your heartbeat was at one hundred and seventy bars per minute. You felt nauseous, your hands were badly sweating and you were having a hard time breathing.
No, you weren’t nervous. You were having an anxiety attack.
Sunghoon unbuckled your seatbelt before holding your face with both hands, waiting for to look into his eyes. His eyes were dark and sensual. Nope, it didn’t help you calm down a bit.
“Are you okay? You look pale.” He asked with concern in his voice. He felt your forehead and neck as if checking if you had a fever.
You felt electricity ran through your body because of his touch. Feeling as if you were burning, you pulled away from him and averted your gaze somewhere else.
“I’m fine. It’s just that, this was all so sudden.” You noticed his expression darken from the corner of your eyes.
“Then get used to it because you’re my wife starting today.”
Before you could even respond, he already exited the car and opened the passenger side door for you. He took the duffle bag containing a few pieces of your clothes. He then held your hand as you both walked towards the mansion.
“Don’t be so stiff, Y/n. There’s no way I would hurt you, you know?”
You knew Sunghoon was telling the truth, but it wasn’t enough to calm you down. He wouldn’t hurt you, he said. Still, he had the power to, especially now that you were married.
It all happened so fast. Just last week you were still a Lee, and you still couldn’t believe that you are now Mrs. Park.
After that night, you went to your bakery and called Sunghoon the next morning. And a week later, you were now married. No entourage, reception or whatsoever.
After the civil wedding with the judge that Sunghoon knew, you went straight to the mansion, you didn’t even manage to say goodbye to your brother who was currently not in korea.
At the mansion’s door, you were both greeted by Aunt Chul, the house keeper. Sunghoon and his sister had nannies when they were children, but they remained closest to the woman.
“Dear!” Aunt Chul greeted you as she gave you a warm hug, then gently held your face as she pulled away.
“How are you? It has been so long and you grew beautifully, Dear.”
Despite everything, you were able to put a happy and genuine smile on your face. “Thank you, Auntie. I’m doing great, and you?”
“Oh, I’m not getting any younger, dear! I think I can count the remaining black hairs I have left.” The woman joked, laughing slightly.
“You still look great, Auntie.” You smiled at her, shaking you head slightly.
“You’re still the same old playful one, aren’t you?” she teased. “Now come get inside, I prepared you both something to eat.”
She turned to Sunghoon and looked at him. “Let me take that bag, son.”
“Oh, no. We can handle this, Auntie. Thank you.” He said embracing the elderly person.
“My wife and I are just going to have a talk before we eat.” You froze when you heard him say the word ‘wife’. Yes, there’s no mistaking it. You really are Park Sunghoon’s wife.
When you glanced at the woman, there’s not a trace of surprise marred her serene face, which puzzled you.
“Alright, you know where to go when you two want to eat.” She smiled softly.
Sunghoon guided you upstairs to the room where you’re staying.
The room was definitely Sunghoon, very neat and manly. The walls were painted white, accommodating the rich hue of the big bed and built-in cabinets. Everything was well placed and clean.
“You may find my room dull and boring.” He said as he placed your bag on the side of the dresser. “But you may refurnish it however you like. Have the walls painted, the curtains changed. Just don’t put too much pink.”
You blushed at what he said, you were a girl who has a deep obsession with color pink ever since. And it seems like he still remembers that about you. But as much as you wanted to renovate the room and make it appear more your style, you wouldn’t do so. You liked the room as it was.
You didn’t notice Sunghoon approaching, so you gasped when you felt your husband pulling you by the waist closer to him.
“Let’s talk.”
“Y-yes, of course – Sunghoon!” You let out a small scream as the strong man lifted you up, and you had no choice but to wrap your arms around his shoulders.
“Sunghoon, what the hell are you doing?”
“I was supposed to carry you over the threshold, but I knew that you would snap at me if Aunt Chul sees us.” He answered with a gorgeous grin on his face. For a minute, he looked like the boy you used to know.
The guy you used to love.
But no matter how handsome the young man appeared to you now, you still couldn’t stop the seething the anger in your heart towards him.
“And you think I wouldn’t do that now? I did that once before, I could do it again.”
“Oh, trust me. I’m more prepared this time.” He said with a twinkle in his eyes. He dropped you onto the bed and hovered above you. You gasped for air when you felt his hard body on top of yours. You were sure that when you entered this room, the AC was on, but for some reason the air became thick and hot and filled with desire.
“I t-thought we’re going to talk?” Your voice was shaky and far different from you challenging voice earlier.
“We are. We’ll talk like this.” He lowered his head and nestled into your neck. You had never been intimate with any man. This was new to you. Your heart was beating wildly and you afraid Sunghoon would hear it.
You felt so warm, it was as if your bones were melting. It felt good to be this close to him. And he had been hugging you for a while now. He was the only man who could make you feel extreme emotions.
“I told them about us.” You heard him mumble, his hot breath licking your cold neck.
“You… what?” You asked, disoriented.
“I told everyone in this house about us. Even my dad that’s currently in Japan.” He lifted his head and looked at you as if you as if he wanted to know what you were thinking, if not to absorb your very soul.
“You told them about our agreement?”
“No, I only told them that we were getting married. That I couldn’t wait about Dad’s arrival. That we saw each other again, and instantly fell in love. So make sure to be a loving wife to me, especially in front of them.”
As if he needed to say it. “Of course. But I hope you don’t forget about the other part of the agreement. The money, Sunghoon. I need it.”
“I didn’t forget about that. I’ll give it to your brother as soon as I see him.”
“Glad to hear tha—“
Sunghoon slowly lowered his head, your eyes widened. “Wait, what are you-“
“You’re mine, Y/n. Including your body.” He said with his tempting mouth.
You wanted to stop him and tell him to stop what he was doing, but no words came out of your lips. Instead, a sound coming from your stomach halted your husband’s advances. You didn’t know whether to feel embarrassed or thankful. You were saved, not by the bell, but by your tummy.
God! Sunghoon didn’t need to smile, amusement was in his eyes.
“Maybe we should eat first.” Sunghoon withdrew from being pressed against you, stood up, and extended his hand towards you.
“Come.” You hesitantly took his hand and stood up as well, feeling quite embarrassed.
“Do you still know the way to the dining room?” He asked as you refused to meet his gaze, just nodding in response.
“Do you mind going there alone? I just needed to call someone. I’ll join you in a few minutes.”
You just nodded again and quickly left the room. Usually, after the wedding comes the honeymoon. Or in your case, funnymoon.
—
The moment you—or rather, his wife—stepped outside, Sunghoon finally let go of the smile he had been holding back.
Yes, you had become matured and become tough over the past few years, but in many ways, you still hadn’t really changed. You were still funny, cute, adorable, and his.
His previously bright face was now replaced by a blank expression. Finally, Heeseung would experience what it was like to lose someone important to him. The only difference is that no one would die.
He wouldn’t hurt you, at least, not intentionally ang physically. Never. Heeseung was still lucky that Sunghoon had some semblance of a heart left.
All he wanted was to emotionally torture him. He would make his heart bleed in sorrow, until he would beg him to stop.
And that would start now.
He picked up his phone and dialed a number. On the third ring, the person he was trying to reach answered.
“Yes, hello?”
His grip on the device tightened upon hearing the voice of the man he despises.
“Heeseung.”
He could taste the bitterness in his own voice. The man on the other line wasn’t able to respond immediately, so he continued.
“I heard you’re not in korea right now.”
“No, I’m not. What do you need, Sunghoon?”
He asked directly, without preamble.
Nothing, you’re the one who’s going to need something from me.
“Nothing, really. But if I were you, I’d go back to korea right now.”
He could already see the furrow on his former friend’s face. Soon he would face his range, but instead of being afraid, he would actually be glad to see it.
“What do you mean by that?”
“It’s Y/n. She left your house and she’s with me now. Too bad you weren’t there when she left.”
It was a shame for Sunghoon the he couldn’t see firsthand how the person on the other line is reacting.
He bet it would be priceless.
“You son of a bitch. What did you do to her?!”
He heard the grinding of his interlocutor’s teeth making him chuckle sarcastically.
“You asshole!”
“Yeah, Heeseung. Curse me all you want, but I’ll make sure that you will never get see your sister again. I will make you pay for all the things you did. Prepare yourself because I will take you to the hell you put me through.”
He ended the call. With his hands shaking, he exhaled sharply. He forced himself to calm down before he began to walk out of the room.
Maybe he shouldn’t have gone to the dining room just yet. He’s still feeling the anger coursing through his body, and he didn’t want anyone to see him like that, especially you.
But when he saw your beautiful face with a smile plastered on it while chatting with Aunt Chul, the heavy emotions enveloping him suddenly dissipated.
While looking at you glowing face, he lost the bitterness and pain that he had been feeling. Your bright smile simply made the pain go away. He was certain of what he was feeling. About his fear ang pain going away.
He took a deep breath once again ang approached the two, specifically you. He leaned down and kissed you on the forehead, disregarding the watchful eyes of the elderly person nearby.
“What are you two talking about?” He asked. Aunt Chul smiled at him and seemed to chat with him like a child.
“I never knew Y/n had a bakeshop in town. If I’m not mistaken, one of the helpers bought the bread I liked there. Turns out Y/n was the owner.”
He sat beside you and held your hand, giving it a tight squeeze. “Yeah, her pastries and sweets are indeed famous in town.” He stated, smiling proudly.
“Y/n also told me the she hasn’t had a boyfriend. She had suitors, but didn’t accept any of them.” The woman gossiped.
“Auntie!” You playfully reprimanded the her.
Sunghoon threw a glance at you. “Oh?”
His face lit up, secretly smiling to himself. So it was likely that the guy named Jake whom your employees were referring to was you suitor. He suddenly felt relieved. He glanced at your plate that is still empty.
“You haven’t eaten yet?” He asked you as you shook your head in response.
“Not yet. I was busy chatting with auntie.”
“Tell you what, Sunghoon. Your wife was just really waiting for you to come here.” Aunt Chul remarked.
“Alright, I’ll leave you two love birds alone to enjoy your food.”
Once the two of you were left alone, Sunghoon couldn’t help but let a smile spread across his face.
“So, you were waiting for me, huh?” He said teasingly.
“I wasn’t waiting for you. The conversation with Auntie just really hit the spot.”
“Yeah, sure. Let’s eat.”
They ate in silence. You sat beside him quietly with your head bowed as you eat. You were like some kind of a shy teenager sitting next to her crush.
Sunghoon smiled a little as he remembered their happy memories. You were just like this back then when you two are being teased together. You would blush furiously and he just enjoy the teasing.
“I’ll go upstairs to take a shower ang get changed.” You said after he was done eating.
But before you could fully stand up, he pulled you back into the chair and bestowed a gentle kiss on your lips.
“Please don’t tempt me like that.” Your eye widened and your lips parted in surprise. Your face reddened and he couldn’t stop himself from grinning. You quickly stood up and rushed away from him.
Well, it was useless since no matter what you do, you were already his. Nothing could ever separate you from him, not even your brother.
Sunghoon’s smile faded, and his eyes grew cold.
You would be forever his, and you had no idea of what the future lies ahead of you.

Where are you going?” Sunghoon asked you as he entered your room. He saw your reflection from the mirror in front. There was a knot in his forehead as if knew something that displeased him.
You stopped combing your hair as you sigh. Last night was bad enough. You both were sharing the same room. You didn’t sleep well enough to the fear that he might creep up on you.
“I have a shop to run, Sunghoon. I have something to take care of at work.”
“There’s no need for that. I’ll hire someone to manage your business.”
You turned to look at him. “You don’t expect me to just be here all day.”
“Actually, I do.” He picked up an envelope that was laying on the side table. “You don’t need to work. I could provide you with everything.” You took a deep breath as if drawing upon a thousand reserves of patience.
“I need to bake, Sunghoon. I want to bake.”
“Well, if you miss doing that, just go to the kitchen. You have everything you need there. You could even bake with Aunt Chul’s help.”
“But—“
“It’s still a no, Y/n.” He already left the room before you could even say anything. You were left staring blankly at the closed door.
This can’t be happening! You quickly exited the room and looked for Sunghoon. As you decended the great staircase, you saw him entering the study room. Sitting on his swivel chair while looking so irritatingly handsome.
“Is this part of your revenge, Sunghoon? Taking my love for baking away from me?”
He gave you a deadpan look. “No.” Sunghoon answered then continued scanning the documents he was holding.
You sigh exasperatedly then sat on the chair in front of his table. You forcefully hit the table to get his attention. “Sunghoon, it wasn’t part of our agreement that I wouldn’t be allowed to enter my own shop.”
You explained, your voice filled with restraint. “I love my work. I love baking. I need to be there.”
Your husband leaned back on his chair, feeling your intense gaze piercing through him. “There’s a big chance you brother would come looking for you there. Which I don’t want to happen. So you’re not going anywhere.”
“But—” You were about to say something when your gaze shot to the door as it suddenly opened.
“What the fuck is going on?” Your brother Heeseung’s voice echoed inside Sunghoon’s room.
You quickly stood up from your seat and stared at your brother with wide eyes. You weren’t expecting him to barge in especially since you knew he wasn’t in korea.
“See for yourself, Lee.” Your husband responded with a blank face.
“Shut the fuck up, I’m not talking to you.” Heeseung complained angrily and turned to you. “What is this? Why are you here Y/n? Why are you with him? Damn it!”
“I…” Your lips quivered. “We got married, Hee. Sunghoon and I got married.”
“No. You’ve got to be kidding me.” His brown furrowed. “What were you thinking, Y/n? Why did you marry him?! You didn’t even consult me about it, for Pete’s sake!” He was clearly stressed out.
“I-it was all so sudden. I wasn’t able to tell you because—”
“Did he threaten you? Hurt you?” He approached you and lifted up your chin to scan your face to see if you’re okay. Your brother looked really worried. Scared, even.
You heard Sunghoon chuckled sarcastically. “Hurt her? Oh, I’m not quite sure if I want to hear that from the person who did something more than that.”
Heeseung gave him a dark look. “You son of a—”
“Stop it, Hee!” You restrained him just as he was about to charge at Sunghoon. “Don’t hurt him. I’m married to him now and I love him.”
“Bullshit!” He shouted, causing you to step back at the intensity of his anger in his voice. Your brother looked furious and dangerous, as if he was ready to kill someone.
He grabbed your wrist and draggedyou towards the door. “I’m taking you home with me.”
“I’m afraid that’s not possible.” Sunghoon approached you both and grabbed your waist, forcefully pulling you away from your brother. You could feel his warm and hard body against yours.
“She’s my wife, Lee. And she’s staying here with me whether you like it or not.”
“Damn you.” Heeseung clenched his fist, fighting the urge to punch your husband.
“Please, Hee.” You pleaded. You believed that you were doing the right thing. You were doing this for the two most important people in your life. ‘I’m okay here. Don’t worry about me.”
Your brother pressed his lips firmly. “I promise to get you out of here, Y/n. And I’ll make sure that this bastard pays for this.” He assured you, looking at his childhood friend with a stern look.
“Oh?” Sunghoon smiled, but there was no trace of humor in his expression. “Please, go ahead. Entertain me.”
With heavy strides, her brother left the room ang slammed the door. You tried breaking free from Sunghoon once you were sure that your brother had left. But he refused to let you go. He tilted your chin up and looked straight into your eyes. His cold and dark eyes reminded her of danger, and your knees started to weaken.
“Did you see what happened? It would be a total chaos if you and your brother see each other. Especially since it happened in front of me.” He loosened his grip on you.
“So don’t get your hopes up, Y/n, because I assure you that nothing—no one—not even your brother, can separate us.”
If only they were a normal couple, in a way you would take his words a sweet promise.
“You’re stuck with me, forever.” He breathed.
And without any warning, he captured your lips, in a hot and mind-blowing kiss.
—
You’ve been in the bathtub for almost an hour now without having any intentions of getting up. Your mind seems to be drowning in deep thoughts about what happened earlier.
Seeing Sunghoon and you brother at each other’s throats was not a good sight. Hearing their heated conversation didn’t do your heart any good either. It’s like the two of them were about to fight in boxing arena earlier.
You sighed heavily and poked the rubber ducky in the tub. You immersed yourself even more until the water level reached your nose.
You have other concerns right now. The night came and you’re starting to freak out because you’re once again going to sleep in the same bed with ‘husband’.
You remembered him saying,
“You are mine, Y/n. Including your body.”
It’s true that money was the main reason why you two got married. But that doesn’t change the fact that you are legally married and he could do whatever he pleased to do to you.
You agreed to give yourself to him in exchange for the money that he would lend for your estate.
It’s just cliché if you think about it. The handsome and wealthy wanted wanted the woman in exchange for his help in saving their sinking business. But in the end, the man falls in-love with the woman because of her beauty and kindness. You giggled, finding the story a bit funny rather than romantic.
But deep inside, you knew that the story was way far from your story with Sunghoon. The reason why he wanted you was crystal clear.
He wanted revenge.
And you were happened to be the one he chose to get back at your brother. But you couldn’t bring yourself to deny the fact that you still loved him the same way you did back then.
“Y/n?” You flinched when you heard Sunghoon’s voice calling for you. “You’ve been there for over an hour already. Get out or I’ll break this goddamn door.”
Your eyes widened as you quickly stood up from the bathtub. “Wait!” You grabbed the towel and hurriedly dried your body.
Sunghoon started to count. Damn it, when did he get so impatient?
Panicking, you wrapped the towel at your slightly damped body and opened the door, slightly annoyed.
You were greeted by Sunghoon’s tall figure, and you felt yourself melting under the intensity of his gaze upon you.
Despite your height of five seven, you still felt small in comparison to his towering figure. He looked vey godly in his naturally pale skin, dark hair, and strong muscular body. He was staring down at you, his eyes dark and intense with lust.
You tightened your grip on the fabric that is barely covering your still wet body. You could feel the water dripping from your hair, down to your skin. It was quite strange that you didn’t feel any coldness. Sunghoon’s stare was scorching hot.
You absentmindedly licked you lower lip with your tongue. The man’s eyes turned black and desire heated your blood.
He moved closer, grabbing you by your waist and gave you a hot kiss; sucking not only your energy but also your soul. Your hand automatically went to his neck while the other tried to touch his hard chest; taking his warmth, feeling him, loving him.
“Y/n…” His voice was rough and growly. He held your waist and pressed both your bodies even closer together. You gasped when you felt his readiness. The peaks of your breasts instantly hardened and you felt hot liquid pooled in your core.
You tried to deepen the kiss. He suddenly lifted you up without ever breaking the kiss as he carried you towards the bed. He gently laid you down on the bed while you continued to share a passionate and sloppy kiss.
A protest escaped from your mouth when Sunghoon stopped kissing you. You focused your blurry eyes and found him slowly undressing himself in front of the bed.
He was seductively taking his clothes off, obviously teasing you. The desire in his eyes were evident. You felt that he could also see it in your eyes. You glanced down at him and you gulped. Could you even handle that? He was big, hard, and powerful.
You were scared, but you were also eager to have him inside you at the same time.
He joined you in the bed. He hovered above you ang captured your lips once again. Feeling lightheaded from the sensation you felt, you barely noticed as Sunghoon effortlessly removed the towel that was covering your heated body.
You gasped when you felt his big hands moulding your soft yet heavy breasts. His lips travelled down your neck and sucked on your sensitive skin.
“S-sunghoon—I…
” You involuntarily pulled at his hair as he lowered his mouth to your breasts. He took the pinkish tip and sucked on it like a baby. He mercilessly played with your nipple while all you could do was moan helplessly. It felt so good and you wanted more.
His lips went back to your mouth and sucked your tongue while his hands were roaming around your delicate curves. The warmth of his hands made your nerves sizzle. You could feel the blazing desire for each other consuming you, separating you from the real world.
Unable to resist, you also explored his body with your hands. You started touching his chest down to his delicious abs. You heard him hiss when you touched his raging manhood.
“Fuck,” Sunghoon cursed under his breath. He opened his eyes and saw you looking at him with lust in your eyes.
You wanted to pleasure him and make him go crazy, just as he did to you. You started to move your hand up and down his thick and swollen shaft. You could hear his heavy breathing and it encouraged you to continue what you were doing. You have never felt so powerful ang sexy in your whole existence.
“I won’t last long if you keep doing that. I may not be able to satisfy you, baby.” He said as you wrapped your Legs around his waist, forcefully pressing your bodies together. You moaned when you felt his huge manhood pressing on your lower abdomen. “Then, take me now.”
“You’re not ready yet..”
“Oh, but I am. I am all ready for you, Sunghoon.” You shamelessly answered. All you knew was that you wanted him to take you completely and repeatedly.
Sunghoon bit his bottom lip as his eyes blazed with desire for you. He rubbed his thick shaft on your wet and waiting core and you couldn’t help but to quiver at the contact.
“Please...” You whispered pleadingly.
Without a word, Sunghoon spread your thighs, exposing the most intimate part of your body to him. Your cheeks burn and you tried to hide your face into the pillow, but he didn’t allow it.
“Don’t, you’re beautiful.” He said, gently caressing your cheeks.
Sunghoon positioned himself between your legs as you readied yourself for your first intimate union. You looked at him with plead with a gasp leaving your lips in anticipation.
In one heavy thrust, he entered you. Sunghoon kissed you hard to contain your sobs and to help subside the pain. You could feel him throbbing inside you, waiting for you to adjust to his size.
“I’ll go slow,” he whispered on your lips.
You shook your head. You wanted to feel his possessiveness and carnal desire towards you. You wanted him fast and deep inside of you because if not, you would definitely go crazy. You lifted your hips, subtly deepening his conscience.
“Fuck!” He cursed hotly. He firmly gripped your waist, restraining you. “Don’t do that.”
“Please, Sunghoon. I want you.” Your incredibly gorgeous man inhaled sharply then kissed you hard on the mouth. His tongue toyed with yours, seeking for your sweet and wild taste. Your hands roamed around his body, from his perfect six-pack to his sexy ass.
Sunghoon started to move again and you eagerly met his long and deep thrust. You could feel him stretching you the walls of your insides. The pain was now replaced with pleasure. Cries and sobs filled the room. You could hear the sound of his flesh slamming against yours.
“Baby…” He was taking her ruthlessly. Rough and fast. You tried to match his pace and intensity.
You could feel him brutally sliding in and out of you, the pleasure made you shiver and you couldn’t help but to ask for more. You tightly wrapped your legs around his waist to allow him to penetrate deeper inside you. You wanted all of him, wanting to give him all of you in return.
“Sunghoon..” You could feel your release coming. You grabbed his neck and kissed him deeply. “I’m cumming!”
“Me too, baby.” He panted.
“Me too..” You clung into each other as if your lives depended on one another.
Together, you both reached the joy brought by your solitude. You were still experiencing minor shivers pleasure when Sunghoon kissed again, fully taking your breath away. You kissed him back and embraced him tightly.
You wondered if you could ever own him the same way he owned your—heart, body, and soul.

You woke up by the feeling of small kisses prepping against your back. You gasped when you felt Sunghoon suck your neck.
“Good morning,” He whispered into your ear. You turned to greet him back but he was fast to capture your lips. He tasted so good it was hard for you to suppress a moan. But before things could get any further, Sunghoon pulled away. That’s when you noticed that he was already showered, dressed, and he looked like a meal.
You bit your lip, staring at him.
“Good morning.” You blushingly greeted. He reached out and planted one last kiss on your forehead.
Sunghoon, what are we?
“I need to get out, I just have something to take care of. I’ll be back before dinner.” He stood away from the bed.
“See you later.”
Okay. I love you. But you didn’t say that and just nodded in response.
You got out of bed as soon as he left. Your face flashed as soon as you realized that you were naked. You grabbed the bathrobe and wore it, remembering the times you and Sunghoon shared sexual moments in the past night. Your body ached but it was nothing because your lovemaking last night was heavenly.
But before you could completely dwell in the memories, you headed towards the bathroom to soak in warm water.
After taking a bath, you went to the kitchen to see if Aunt Chul was there. And you immediately smiled upon seeing her.
“Oh, dear, you’re here! Looks like you slept well last night, huh?” She said with a hint of teasing. You wrinkled your nose and looked away with an embarrassed face.
“Are you up to something, Auntie?”
“Oh, it’s nothing much. I’m just making a list of groceries to buy. You should to the garden, Dear. Have your breakfast with Mr. Park there. I’ll bring the food for the both of you.”
You paused upon hearing what she said. “M-Mr. Park is here?”
“Yes, he arrived earlier this morning,” She said while inspecting the grocery list.
“He must have been eager to come home as soon as he found out about you and Sunghoon getting married. After all these years, who would’ve known that you two would really end up together, right?” She continued when you weren’t able to respond immediately.
“By the way, I heard from one of the helpers that your brother came here yesterday.” Her eyes settled on you softly. “It’s good that he and Sunghoon have reconciled. Thank you, Dear. You managed to bring them back together.” You smiled wryly.
You couldn’t say that there was a price to pay for your marriage to Sunghoon. That your brother and husband nearly killed each other when they met yesterday. Where were all the people here yesterday? It was impossible that no one heard the constant shouting. Or maybe they were just quiet and only talked amongst themselves when they’re alone.
“Oh, it was nothing.” You added despite the nervousness you felt.
“Then what are you still doing here, Dear? You should go ahead and meet with Mr. Park.” She nudges you.
“Don’t bother bringing the food there, Auntie. I’ll be back here shortly.” You said before turning away.
Your heart pounded faster. It’s natural to feel nervous, especially when facing your father-in-law, right? If Mr. Park’s late wife were still alive, your nervousness might be even more intense.
Like Sunghoon, his father exudes an authoritative aura. Dominant. Yes, you sometimes saw glimpses of him when you were children, but he would only stare at you with his gaze and turn away.
You swallowed hard when you saw him.
“Come here, child. Have a seat.” You moved closer and sat on the chair that is opposite to him. “Good day, Mr. Park.”
“Dad,” he corrected, causing you to blush. “Good day to you too, Dear. How are you?” Something about the old man had changed. He seemed more approachable now. He was easier to talk to and his once sharp eyes was now softer.
“I’m doing great, D-dad. How about you?”
“Well now that my son is married, I feel more at ease now.” He answered, smiling. “I was planning to matchmake Sunghoon with another woman, but it seems it was no longer necessary.”
You stomach knotted at the thought of Sunghoon marrying someone else.
“I’m so glad that he married you. He deserves to be happy after everything that he had been through.”
Your eyes softened at his words.
“Sohyun’s death really hit him hard.” You said with hint of sadness in your voice.
“Yes, but that’s just one part of the story.”
“What do you mean by that?” Confusion took over you.
Mr. Park sighed heavily.
“Are you sure you want to hear it?” You hesitated but still nodded.
“You do know that Sunghoon is my illegitimate, right? It was a shock that he just suddenly appeared in our lives. We didn’t know what to do and what to feel about it. My wife, of course, hated him, and so did my parents. Even I wasn’t been a good father to him. Almost everyone knew that he was my illegitimate child, but you didn’t know that he wasn’t loved and accepted.”
You looked down in shocked, unable to look at you father-in-law in the eyes.
“I remembered, when he was a kid, he would just shut himself inside his room and wouldn’t talk to anybody. The only person who accepted and loved him was his sister, Sohyun. He changed because of her. That’s why losing her caused him so much pain.”
He took a deep breath as if drawing strength from it to continue.
“And when her sister died, he became even colder than before. And I wasn’t able to do anything for him.”
You just looked down. You didn’t know what to say. Now you understand why Sunghoon’s anger to your brother was so intense. Sohyun was Sunghoon’s salvation.
Yes, you know how painful it is to lose someone you love, but you weren’t able to consider how big of a loss his sister's absence would be for him. Especially since Sunghoon thinks that only his sister Sohyun was the only person who loved him.
You’re not denying that your brother had his faults in what happened, but it was all an accident.
You wanted to help Sunghoon. You wanted him to go back to the way he was, but how will you do that?
You can no longer bring back the one person that Sunhoon treasured the most.
Your hopes to bring back the man you love was slowly shattering to pieces. You knew you can’t heal the deep wound he had in his heart. You didn’t have that power. You would never have that power. Him seeing you would always make him remember the pain that he felt back then.
He could never move on with you around. He would never be happy.
Mr. Park took your hands and you looked at him. His eyes were read, and as if he were to close them, tears would fall from it.
“I don’t know why and how it happened, but I’m thankful that you met again and that my son and your brother finally reconciled. I saw life in his eyes earlier and I got the feeling that he was back once again to his old self. Thank you, Y/n.”
You felt a lump in your throat and you were having a hard time breathing. Your heart ached and your eyes hurt.
You wanted to shake your head and tell your father-in-law that his son still resents your brother. That he shouldn’t be grateful because you can’t help Sunghoon forget the painful past and his resentment towards your brother.
Memories flooded in your mind, memories you’d tried try to forget. Things that only you and your brother knew. Sunghoon is completely mistaken.
“Dear, are you okay?” The worried man tried to gently gain your attention. You swallowed to clear the lump in your throat. Your eyes were stinging but you put on a brave face.
“Oh, I’m fine, Dad. Don’t worry.”
“Are you sure?” He asked, clearly not convinced.
“Yes. If you may excuse me.” He nodded. “Alright, dear. You go eat breakfast.” You smiled and turned away to walk towards the house.
It was a big mistake that you married Sunghoon. You weren’t sure where to begin to make things right.

Heeseung stared at him with narrowed eyes, scrutinizing him. Sunghoon handed him the check for the agreed-upon amount that you had with him.
“I don’t need your charity.” Heeseung said, looking at the check that was in Sunghoon’s hands with disdain. “You should leave before I hurt you.”
Sunghoon placed the check on the table and pushed it towards him.
“I don’t care if you accept this or not. I don’t care if you continue to suffer. But would you let your sister’s sacrifice go to waste just because of your worthless pride?”
“Damn you! I knew it! My sister wouldn’t dare to marry without a significant reason.” Sunghoon clenched his fist at what your brother told him. He hated Heeseung with a passion, but that seemed to intensify upon hearing what he said.
“So, that’s why she married you. You promised to give us money. I don’t need your money, Sunghoon. Give me back my sister!”
“Y/n is already married to me. And I’m not sorry to say this but I’m not returning her back to you.”
Heeseung stood up and went close to Sunghoon angrily.
“You piece of shit! And what are you planning to do? Take her away from me to completely hurt me? Don’t you dare lay a finger on her, she has nothing to do with the problem between us!”
“I know that. But I also know that keeping her away from you will make you suffer.” He laughed sarcastically.
“So what? You want me to die of sadness and guilt? It that what you want? Then let me tell you this, Sunghoon. You are just wasting your time because I already died a decade ago.” Heeseung took a deep breath.
“So please, If you’re just going to hurt my sister—”
“Oh, I’m not going to hurt her physically, Heeseung. I’ll just—you know? Make fer fall for me and make her my own personal slave.”
“You bastard…” Heeseung could barely speak out of anger.
“Ah, Heeseung. I’ve known that for a long time now.” Sunghoon laughed.
“My sister would never fall for someone like you. Your cheap trick won’t work on her. And before you even execute your plan, I’ll make sure that I’ve already taken her back from you.”
“Hmm… We’ll see.”
He turned away to leave. He had no intention of hurting you. He didn't want to make you fall in love with him and lead you on for nothing. But he needed to say those to infuriate your brother.
Sunghoon thought he would feel satisfied after what he’d done, but what he felt was far from satisfaction. This wasn't what he had expected. He felt defeated and sadder than before.
He got into the car and looked at the image of your house from a distance. The image of sweet little Y/n waving at him whenever it was time for him to go home appeared so vividly in his mind.
‘My sister would never fall for someone like you.’
The pain it caused shot straight to his heart. His lips formed into a thin line. Sunghoon felt the intense frustration and anger.
“Fuck!” He slammed his hands on the steering wheel of his car and took a deep breath. He forced himself to calm down before starting the car and speeded away from the place.
—
Sunghoon caught a sight of you in front of the closet, organizing your clothes. You looked troubled that you didn’t even notice his presence. Your eyes were focused on the clothes you were holding but your mind seemed far away. Sunghoon came close to you. He hugged you from behind, seeking your heat and filling his lungs with your addicting scent.
The moment he felt your soft body, the anger inside him vanished. But in his surprise, you quickly broke free from his embrace and moved away. His gaze immediately sought your face, and he saw fear in your eyes. He felt a punch on his gut and heat spread in his body.
“Good evening. Have you eaten?” His voice was low and cold. He restrained himself from reaching out to hug you again.
You avoided his gaze and continues to focus on what you were doing. “Yeah, I already ate. I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to wait for you.”
He didn’t know why he saw fear in your eyes. He also had no idea why his wife was acting like this when they were just doing fine earlier this morning. But there’s on this he was sure of. He was hurt by you actions.
“I’m sorry for coming home late. I had to talk to the workers earlier about harvesting mangoes tomorrow.” He explained
When you met his gaze again, Sunghoon wished you hadn’t done that at all, because your lifeless eyes further convinced him that something is definitely wrong.
“Ah, I see. It’s better if you eat dinner so you can rest early,” you said as you closed the closet after you finished tidying up. You faced him.
“I’ll be at the library for a while.”
“I already gave the money to you brother.” He suddenly said, making you flinch. “We also talked earlier. More like argues and accused each other… But as you can see, I don’t have bruises, so I can say that we didn’t get physical.” He couldn’t focus on anything else as he was focused of trying to figure you out.
“I see,” You replied shortly. “Okay, I’ll leave you alone for now.” You turned away and Sunghoon couldn’t stop himself from grabbing your arm and forcibly turning you to face him.
“What’s wrong, Y/n?” You avoided his eyes and it upset him even more.
“Nothing, I’m just missing the bakery. I’m not comfortable with someone else managing it.” You removed his hand that was holding you. “Clean yourself up before you eat.”
You began to walk out of the room. All he could do was watch your retreating back.
He remembered Heeseung’s words that you could never love someone like him.
After a long time, Sunghoon felt scared. No matter what he says or how hard he tries to hide, the truth will still come for him and slap him hard in the face.
He didn’t just marry you for the sake of revenge. He didn’t simply want you. He needed you like air and sunshine. He loved you.
And the thought that you couldn't love a person like him was like poison, it was slowly killing him.

His sister Sohyun was making a flower necklace and little Sunghoon would just watch her. He was like a rabbit surrounded by colorful butterflies. It was quite fun to watch.
He turned away from his sister and looked around. They were under the biggest and oldest mango tree on the farm. The shade was refreshing. The leaves of the tree underneath were bright grees, and the sun was shining brightly.
He wasn’t used to such places. It’s like he wants to go back in his room and hide. But for some reason, Sunghoon felt safe.
“What are you thinking about, Hoonie?” His sister noticed that his thoughts had gone far once again.
“Are you thinking about locking yourself in your room again?”
He didn’t respond and she continued. “Didn’t I tell you that I’ll protect you from the bad people? You don’t need to be scared and hide away. I’m always here by your side, you know?”
He felt her smile even though he wasn’t looking at her. He acted as if no one was there and that he didn’t hear anything.
His sister chuckled.
“Don’t you know that there are scarier monsters in the dark, like in your room? They eat children who are always alone. So, if I were you, I would always stay outside and be in the light. If you don’t, the monsters will come and eat you alive. Do you want that to happen?”
No. He didn’t want that. He was afraid of monsters and didn’t want them to eat him.
“So, remember this, okay?” Even if I’m not by your side, all you need to do is find the light. And I promise you, you will be okay.”
He’ll be okay? Is it that why he feels safe when he’s here outside? Is it that why he feels relaxed while the fresh wind fills the bottom of the sun?
If that the case, maybe his sister is right. He shouldn’t stay in the dark and hide himself.
A small smile crept onto his lips. He glanced at his sister, but all the remained under the tree was the flowers she had been holding earlier.
Sunghoon woke up and realized that it was all just a dream. It was a scene years ago where he and his sister were still young.
Light. ‘Just find the light and you’ll be okay’.
Y/n….
He reached for the other side of the bed to pull you closer, but his hand found no body. He sprang up from the bed, his heart pounding when he saw that you weren’t there.
Exhausted, he had fallen asleep quickly last night and hadn’t noticed whether you laid beside him or not.
He usually woke early, but today you had beaten him to it. He was no longer accustomed to waking up without seeing your face first thing in the morning.
He hurriedly got up and checked the bathroom. You weren’t there. He went downstairs to see if you were in the living room, but you weren’t there either. You also weren’t in the dining room nor the kitchen when he checked.
‘My sister would never fall for someone like you.’
“Fuck!” He harshly ran his fingers through his hair. His body shook. He felt helpless. You couldn’t have left him.
No, not you. If you left—
“Sunghoon?” He felt disappointed when he heard Aunt Chul’s voice instead of yours. “What happened to you? Are you okay?”
“Have you seen Y/n?” Sunghoon asked, about to lose his mind. Confusion was evident on the older woman’s face.
“She’s at the garden, having coffee with your father.” Aunt Chul explained.
Sunghoon’s rapidly beating hard gradually slowed. His breathing turned to normal. He thanked the elderly woman and then left the kitchen. In less than a minute, he was already in the garden. The sunlight greeted him first before he saw a familiar figure.
You were really there…
You were standing in front of a bed of roses and glowing beautifully under the bright sun. He let out a deep breath before approaching you. He pulled your waist and planted a kiss on your temple, not minding his father who was sitting not far from you.
He gently moved away from you before intently looking at your face. ‘Good morning.”
“Ah… G-good morning.” Perhaps due to surprise, your tongue got all twisted. Your cheeks turned red.
His father cleared his throat. “Well, good morning to you, Sunghoon. You two go ahead and have breakfast; I’ll head up to my room,”
“Aren’t you going to join us for breakfast, Dad?” you asked quickly. The panic in your voice did not escape Sunghoon’s notice.
The old man smiled at you, which surprised Sunghoon. In all the years he had been with his father, it seemed like the first time he smiled like that in front of him. And when did you start calling his father ‘Dad’?
“I’m fine with coffee and the newspaper, Dear. Enjoy your breakfast.” he said before entering the mansion. Before you could follow the old man, Aunt Chul arrived with breakfast. Another helper following her, carrying drinks.
Aunt Chul set the breakfast of the glass table and tidied up Mr. Park’s coffee area. “There’s rice, meat, and some side dishes. There’s also fresh orange juice and hot coffee. Do you need anything else?”
“No, Auntie Chul. Thank you.” Sunghoon nodded to the woman. She smiled and left with the helper.
He returned his attention to you. “Are we just going to stare at each other? Come—” You stepped back, and his hand stopped in mid-air as he tried to hold you. His jaw clenched, and he lowered his hand.
“Let’s eat.”
As you both sat down to eat, you ate quietly. He glanced at you every no and then, you still looked seemingly lost in thought like last night. He wanted to press you to tell him what was bothering you. But he’s afraid you might get scared and would move away completely.
“When did you become so close with Dad?” Sunghoon asked. You stopped eating and looked at him.
“We’re not that close, we just had a chance to talk and chat yesterday.” Sunghoon nodded and drank some orange juice before responding.
“Really? Is my pathetic childhood part of that?” He joked. You didn't know about that part of his life, and it's unlikely that his father would tell you about it.
“Yes.” His eyes quickly focused on you.
“He told me everything. How he regrets not having done anything for you before. That he regretted being an awful father to you. He said he disappointed you because he wasn’t a good father.”
Sunghoon stared at you. “Oh, really?” He tightened his grip on the cutlery that he was holding.
“Yes, really. I know you have a lot of resentment towards your dad, and I don’t blame you for that. But I felt his pain when we talked yesterday. I saw how sorry he was. I think he’s ready to make it up to you.”
“I refuse to talk about this,” He insisted firmly, but you were being stubborn and continued.
“Forgive your father. You shouldn’t live with hatred in your heart, Sunghoon. Free yourself from anger. It wouldn’t help you at all. You’ll only hurt yourself in the end.”
“Are you saying this to make me forgive your brother too?” You looked at him surprised.
“W-what? No!”
“Then stop talking about this!” he snapped.” “My father never loved me. I was nobody to him. I don’t feel anything for him, so I don’t need to forgive him. ”
“But—”
“no more buts, Y/n,” he interrupted. “I still have a lot to do at the farm. Excuse me.” He stood up and walked back to the mansion without looking back.
“Damn it!” You sadly watched him walk away until he disappeared. It hurts you to see him like that.
Maybe you can’t bring him back to how he used to be, the cheerful man you knew when his sister was still alive. Sohyun was Sunghoon’s light and sunshine. You can’t replace the woman in his life.
But perhaps, if you could mend the relationship between the father and son, maybe it could lessen Sunghoon’s bitterness towards the world. That’s all you know how to do right now. There’s no way he could possibly want your love. And even if you gave it to him fully and completely, it wouldn’t be enough to erase what you’ve done.
Yes, what you’ve done.

You’ve been in your private kitchen for an hour now. This is where you experiment with new breads and cakes, and you bake here whenever you have free time. You’ve probably been kneading the bread dough for half an hour now, but because of the deep thoughts that has been bothering you, it made you ignore the tingling sensation in your arms. You were not sure how many days you’ve been like this, but you knew it started the day you talked with Mr. Parks.
You hoped the reconciling your husband and his father will benefit him. It might make him see and feel the love that was taken from him. That might not be a bad idea.
But there’s one thing you thought of that wasn’t good. For you, at least. You planned to distance yourself from Sunghoon once you reconciled him with his father. And from now on, you would make every effort to steer clear of him as much as you could. You would find a way to get your marriage annulled and let him have a happy life.
Even if leaving him would kill you, you needed to accept that you were just not meant to be together. Your lower lip trembled. It would be best to stop baking for now, especially since it’s already late at night. Besides, with how sad you were, the person who might eat the bread would go depressed.
But you didn’t want the prepared dough to go to waste, so you set it aside to let it expand and set the timer for fifteen minutes. You broke free from your train of thoughts when you heard someone knock on the door.
“Come in!”
Who you saw was the last person you expected to see, it was your brother. “Y/n.”
“Hee? What are you doing here?”
“Can we talk?” He looked haggard.
“Of course,” You quickly replied. You washed and wiped your hands, then took off your baking apron. You both exited the kitchen, and as you passed the baker, Uncle Yoo, you instructed him to take care of the bread you left in the kitchen.
“Is there a problem, Hee?” You asked as soon as you entered your small office. You both sat down on the couch near your desk.
“You don’t look well,” He remarked, ignoring your question.
“I can say the same for you.” You replied sharply.
He took a deep breath. “I talked to Sunghoon. I now understand why you got married to him.”
Your hand tightened on the fabric of your skirt. “I did that to help you.” And Sunghoon.
“I know. But because of that, you’ve been put in a difficult situation, and I’ll do my best to get you out of it.” He grasped your hands. “I’ll talk to my friends in the car racing industry. I’ll borrow money from them. We’ll return the check to Sunghoon and get you away from him as soon as possible.”
“Hee, I’m doing fine. You don’t have to do that.” You replied, but he didn’t seem to believe it. “Just use the money from Sunghoon. Besides, that was a payment, not a gift.” You insisted.
He shook his head.
“No, y/n. You don’t understand. When I talked to that bastard, he told me he’ll make you fall and will lead you to nothing.”
He breathed sharply. “I know you won’t give in to him, but I also know that guy won’t just give up so easily. So I want you to be more careful.” He tightened his grip on your hand and stared into your eyes.
“I don’t want you to get hurt.”
You understood that your brother just wants to look out for you, but the warning came way too late. You have already fallen in love with Sunghoon a long time ago.
“Don’t worry about me.” You said. “I’ll be fine.”
He leaned back on the couch. “I can’t believe Sunghoon would do something like that just so he could get back at me.” Me too, I didn’t know he would do that. You thought sadly.
“Here.” Heeseung handed you your phone. “I’ve been coming back to your shop for days, but you weren’t here every time I tried to look for you. I couldn’t contact you since your phone was left at home. I didn’t want to call the mansion’s landline because I was worried it might cause more problems with your husband.” You sighed and took the phone.
“Actually, I just snuck out today. He didn’t allow me to come here because he knew we might see each other and he doesn’t want that.”
He gave a bitter smile. “Sunghoon wasn’t really joking about keeping us apart.” You also gave him a bitter smile. “Anyway, just call me if you need me.”
You nodded. “I will.”
You both sat there and talked for a few minutes before Heeseung said goodbye. You walked him outside to where his car was parked, and once he left, you turned back towards the shop.
But you hadn’t taken three steps when the door of a car opened, and to your surprise, your husband stepped out.
“That was Heeseung,” He said as he approached you, his eyes were hard and dark. You were speechless at the darkness on his expression.
“We’re going home.” He grabbed your arm forcefully.
“But my things—”
“I’ll send someone to collect your things tomorrow,” He snapped. Sunghoon seated you in the passenger seat before walking around to the driver’s side and getting into the car, slamming the door shut.
The drive back home was quiet. You could feel the tension in the air inside the car.
Once you arrived at the mansion, Sunghoon didn’t waste no time and immediately pulled you towards your shared bedroom. With every step closer to the room, you felt your heart beat faster and faster.
He locked the door as you entered the room.
“What did he say to you?” He asked demandingly. Unable to meet your husband’s gaze, you stared at the floor.
“H-he just asked how I was doing.”
“Asked how you were doing? You expect me to believe that?” He sarcastically chuckled. “He’s going to take you away from me, Y/n! He told me that. Now what? Were you two planning on how you’re going to escape me?”
You looked at him with wide eyes. “No!” You firmly denied. “He really just wanted to know how I was—”
“No, Y/n!” He shouted. “I know damn well he plans on taking you away from me…” He was pale and his eyes were wide with… fear? There was no anger plastered on his face. Instead, he looked like a lost child.
“And no! I will not let him! You will not leave me! I will not allow you to do that!”
He took big steps towards you. He was staring at you, as if commanding you not to move an inch. He pulled you close by the waist.
“Sunghoon…”
“I will not let you get away from me, Y/n. You will stay with me forever. Without warning, he leaned down to capture your lips. You closed your eyes, savoring the sweetness of your husband's kiss. You felt his need in the way he claimed your lips. You also felt the tenderness in his touch.
You gasped when you felt his hands cup your behind. And as you parted your lips, Sunghoon kissed you even more passionately. His tongue invaded your mouth, ravaging your sweet taste.
You felt your feet lift off the ground, and soon your back was on the soft mattress. His hard body pushed you down on the bed. Slightly tilting his face, he looked at you passionately. He leaned forward to kiss you again, more gently this time.
“You’re mine,” He whispered against your lips. You kissed him back eagerly. His lips trailed down to your neck, nibbling and licking your now flushed skin. His skilled hands crept inside your skirt.
A sexy moan escaped you mouth when his hand pushed your panties to one side and started to feel your hot and greedy wetness.
“Sunghoon!” You cried out as he pushed one finger deep inside you.
“I know, baby. You need me. I need you, too.” He removed your top and you felt your nippled harden. He took one erect tip into his mouth. You scratched his back in response to his action. You could only close your eyes and lose yourself in his lovemaking.
“Look at me, baby.” He demanded. You forcefully opened your eyes and looked at him. His hands moved faster and harder until you couldn’t take it anymore. “Cum for me.”
You whimpered and exploded into a million pieces. Feeling weak, you closed your eyes but immediately opened them when you felt him moved away from you. Your lips parted as you watched him undress in front of you.
In just a few seconds, he was on top of you again, fully naked. He took your skirt and panties off and threw them somewhere in the room. You remembered your phone was in your skirt, but that didn't matter right now.
His swollen shaft entered you without ceremony. He lifted one of your legs and rested it on his broad shoulders. Rotating his lips, Sunghoon pumped in and out of you almost roughly. You through your hips at him, meeting his every thrust.
“Yes, yes, baby..” He panted. “Cum with me, cum with me.”
You convulsed as you came. He continued burying himself inside of you in deep strokes, groaning as he climaxed. You felt him spill his hot seed inside you.
He collapsed on top of you. He shifted slightly and lay on his side of the bed to avoid completely weighing you with his weight. You heard him utter an oath and it made you clamp around his cock one more time.
Sunghoon’s hand found its way to your breast, softly kneading it as he sought your lips once again.
You both stayed in that position, eyes closed and embracing each other. You could feel your hearts beating as one.
“Tell me you won’t leave me,” Sunghoon spoike softly but firmly. You epened your eyes and saw the evident worry in his.
“I…”
“Say it,” He said demandingly.
“I… I won’t leave you.”
“Good.” He buried his head into your neck and whispered,
“I won’t let you even if you try.”

Sunghoon woke up with the feeling of his wife’s figure laying on his chest. You really looked angelic while sleeping.
He couldn’t help but to stroke your cheek and feel the softness of your lips. He wished to see this sight every morning for the rest of his life. That way, even if it was cloudy outside, he’d always wake up with his own brand of sunshine. He wrapped you in his arms and basked in your warmth. He vowed to never let you slip away from him.
He would do everything to tie you to him forever. And for that to happen, he needed to take action.
He gave you a tender kiss on the forehead before getting up to take a shower and prepare himself for the day. Upon leaving the room, he went straight to the garden where he suspected his father was.
“Dad,” He called. From his newspaper, her father glanced up at him.
“Good morning, son. Sit down. Do you need anything?” Sunghoon sat down in front of him.
“I’m thinking of taking my wife on a belated honeymoon trip.”
His forehead creased. “Where are you planning on going?”
“Japan. I also wanted to visit Grandma and Grandpa.” They had never been close to him, but they knew your family. “I’d be grateful if your secretary could arrange everything for me and my wife.”
He folded the newspaper and placed it on the table. “Why does this seem sudden? What about the farm? I’m getting old, Sunghoon. I can’t manage everything anymore.”
“We have good people here, Dad. They are all hardworking and trustworthy. My manager could take over, so I don’t think you have anything to worry about.” His father fell silent for a moment, deep in thought over what he had just said. “Alright, I understand. When are you going back home?”
Sunghoon shrugged. “I don’t know. As long as possible?” His father’s lips twitched and his eyes filled with profound curiosity.
“Why do I feel like you’re planning to live there? Is there a problem, Sunghoon?”
Yes, there is. Sunghoon laughed. “Nothing, Dad. Anyway, we can’t stay there for long. I just wanted a little vacation with my wife.” He leaned back and looked at his father intently.
“Fine. But make sure to call here often. I’ll get my secretary to arrange everything. I’ll also have him come here to get both your passports.”
“Okay, Dad. Thank you.” He said and stood up after bidding farewell. Sunghoon breathed a sigh of relief. His father agreed. And hopefully, everything would go as smoothly as this.
—
You’ve noticed that your husband has been exceptionally busy these past few days. You already knew he was hard working, workaholic, even. But it’s quite different these days as if he’s constantly chasing after something. Today, he left with his father because they said they had someone to talk to.
You glanced at the oven timer, signaling that the cream cheese garlic bread you made is cooked. Once you checked and saw that they were golden brown, you grabbed the mittens to take the baking tray out.
“Wow, that looks delicious, Y/n.” Aunt Chul said as she just entered the kitchen. You smiled at her.
“I won’t be modest, Auntie. It is really delicious.” You giggled, placing the tray on the table. She chuckled.
“Really? Let me have a taste then.”
“Sure! But let’s wait for it to cool down for a bit,” You said as you removed the mittens and took the tongs to carefully transfer the bread onto the basket lined with wax paper.
“Oh! I’ll make us something to drink, Dear. What would you like?”
“I’ll have some green tea, please.” You requested.
“Sure, just a moment.” She began boiling the water and fetched the cups while you were arranging the bread in the basket, making it look presentable. Shortly after, you and the woman enjoyed the bread and tea together.
“This is so good, Dear!” Aunt Chul happily commented after the first bite. You nodded in agreement.
“Yes, it really is. I wonder who made it?”
The woman chuckled lightly. “No joke, Dear. It really is delicious. The cream cheese garlic bread I’ve had before didn’t taste like this. Sunghoon is really lucky to have someone like you, Dear. I hope you know that.” You were speechless at her words.
“I remember, Sohyun and Sunghoon used to love eating you baked good back then. They were the ones tasting and critiquing your creations.” Your smile faded as you recalled the past.
“I felt that they grew tired of tasting my breads back then. Especially Sunghoon.” You whispered softly.
“Oh, Dear! I doubt that,” The woman said with a chuckle and shook he head. “Didn’t Sunghoon always insist on tasting even the burnt ones?”
Yes, you could vividly remember that. Every batch you baked, whether perfectly made or not, Sunghoon always tasted them. He would praise them if they were delicious and cheer you on to do better next time if they weren’t. He was always there for you, ready to make you smile and feel good. He was your everything backthen. While you couldn’t do anything for him. You sighed.
“Yes, he’s a good guy…” You said softly just above whisper.
“What was that, dear?” The elderly woman asked. You glanced at her and gave a small smile.
“Nothing, Auntie.”
She took another bite of the bread and savored it like a child. “This is really delicious, Dear. I’ll miss this when you’re in Japan.”
You paused mid-bite upon hearing her words. “What? Japan?” You asked, confused.
“Yes, Japan. Didn’t Sunghoon tell you? You’re leaving tomorrow to go to Japan. Your husband has already arranged for your things to be packed,” She explained. Your jaw might have dropped at Aunt Chul’s news. Japan? Leaving? Tomorrow? You had no idea of what she was talking about. You felt your phone vibrating in your pocket.
“Heeseung…” You murmured as you saw the registered number. Quickly excusing yourself from Aunt Chul, you hurried upstairs to your room to answer the call.
“Heeseung?”
“What’s this I hear about you and Sunghoon leaving?”
He asked sternly. You paced back and forth in the room, feeling like a cat about to give birth, anxious and unsettled.
“I don’t know! Aunt Chul just mentioned it to me just now. I had no idea. Sunghoon hasn’t said anything about us leaving.”
You stopped in your tracks and pulled at your hair, feeling frustrated. What was he thinking?
“He’s freaking insane! You need to come home now, Y/n. We need to talk about this,”
He insisted.
“But—”
“If you won’t come here, I’ll come there.”
He said sharply. You took a deep breath.
“Okay, I’ll be there in an hour.”
You quickly left the mansion, being careful not to be seen by anyone. You also didn’t ask the driver to take you to avoid anyone from knowing where you were going. Upon arriving at your house, Heeseung form immediately greeted you. His face was serious.
“Let’s talk inside.” He said, leading the way.
—
Sunghoon and his father was greeted by Aunt Chul once they entered the mansion. “Would you like to two like to have snacks or rest first?” She asked.
“I’ll rest for a bit. I’ll come down later for dinner,” Mr. Park replied, heading up to his room.
“And you, son?” The woman turned to him. Sunghoon smiled at her.
“I’ll go rest first, Auntie.”
“Is that so? Y/n baked cream cheese garlic bread,” She added making him chuckle at her obvious teasing.
“I’ll go see her first, Auntie,” He replied.
“Oh, yes. That’s right.” She quickly agreed. “Go on, she’s in your room. She went up there after we ate earlier.” She gently nudged him.
“Hurry up now.” He chuckled at the woman’s gesture. He was near the stairs when she called him.
“I’m glad you hear your laughter again, son.” She said sincerely. He smiled back at her.
“Me too, Auntie.”
He went up to their room. However. It was dark inside, and you weren’t there. The windows were open, and the curtains swayed gently with the breeze. He wondered and checked the bathroom as well, but you weren’t there either. He went downstairs to find Aunt Chul.
“Auntie, have you seen Y/n?” He asked. She furrowed her brow.
“Isn’t she in your room?” He shook his head. “No.”
“Well, I just came from the garden, she wasn’t there either. Did you check the study? Other rooms?”
“Not yet,” He sighed. “Wait, maybe she went to her brother? Your wife had someone calling her from her phone earlier.”
Your phone? He recalled Heeseung visiting the bakery. He felt knot in his stomach. The fear he felt when he woke up and found the woman was not by his side returned.
“I’ll be out for a while,” He said and rushed to his car, got in, and drove away.

“I have talked to a friend who’s willing to lend us the money we need. If you’re still worried about that bastard’s check, I’ll go top the bank tomorrow and—”
“It’s not that simple, Hee,” You whispered. You were both on the sofa in your living room, having a serious conversation. You felt a chill at what your brother wanted to happen.
“What do you mean?” You sighed and looked straight at him. “Do you think Sunghoon would just agree to that?” He wasn’t able to respond. “He wouldn’t, Heeseung.”
Heeseung ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and leaned back on the sofa. “Then I think it would be better if you took some time away from him,” He suggested.
You shook your head. “I think it would only make things worse if I did that.”
“Then what do you think would work?” You couldn’t answer. None of your plans had worked. Reconciling the father and son. Gradually avoiding your husband. None of it happened.
“Look, y/n. I just want you safe. I don’t want you to get hurt, that’s why I’m doing this,” He said, holding your hand. “I’ll face Sunghoon myself. I’m the reason for all of this.”
You gave him a sad smile. “Liar.” He paused. “We both know who’s really at fault for all of this.”
He tightened his grip on your hand.“Y/n, I don’t want you thinking like that.”
You sighed. “Let me handle this, Hee. Let me leaver with Sunghoon to Japan, and there I’ll figure some things out.”
His eyes narrowed and he let go of your hand. “Are you seriously telling me that you’re really going with him?”
You looked down. “Honestly, I’m still hesitant about it. I’ll try to convince him later not to leave. But if he insists, maybe it’s better if I go with him for now.” You pleaded with him to understand. “I just can’t leave him.”
He stood up abruptly, clenching his fists.
“No.” It was a firm command. “You stay out of this. I’ll confront that piece of shit right now, and I’ll resolve this mess with him.”
“I’m here, Heeseung,” You and your brother almost simultaneously turned towards a cold and low voice. You gaped as you saw Sunghoon there.
He looked at you. “We’re going home, Y/n.” He was about to reach out to you but your brother’s large figure blocked his way as he stood up.
“Over my dead body.” You grabbed his arm.
“Hee, don’t start.”
“He was the one who started all of this!” Heeseung exclaimed. “And for what? Revenge? Only children would think of—” You gasped as Sunghoon lunged forward and delivered a punch at your brother’s face.
Heeseung slumped to the floor due to the impact. Your eyes widen as you saw Heeseung’s lip split open. You rushed to him and hurriedly wiped the blood from the corner of his lips. He stood up, his eyes glaring with retaliation for the punch he received from Sunghoon.
“Stop it!” You shouted, trying to intervene to break them up. When they didn’t budge, you raised your voice louder. “Enough!”
That seemed to snap them out of it, reminding them of your presence. Both men were panting heavily, and you could feel the tension thick in the air around them. You faced your brother. “We’re leaving. I’m going with him.”
He grabbed your arm. “No!”
“Please,” Your voice trembled in plea. Reluctantly, he let go and gave Sunghoon a sharp look. You called a helper and instructed them to bring a first aid kit. “Treat your wounds, Hee. Take care.” You hugged him.
You felt your husband tug on you. “Let’s go,” He whispered. He guided you out of the house towards his car. Heeseung didn’t follow, which you were thankful for. Upon reaching the car, Sunghoon spoke.
“Don’t try to run away from me like that.” He looked at you intently. He seemed to claim all the good looks in the world because even in dim light, he still looked godly… whit a bruised lip. You reached for his face.
“You have a bruise. Let’s hurry home so we can treat that,” You said.
He grasped your hand. “Answer me. Tell me you won’t run away from me.” His intense gaze made you feel like you were burning. You nodded slightly in response.
“Say it, damn it!”
“Sunghoon, I...” He held both sides of your face and gently forced you to meet his eyes.
“Is it really that hard? To be tied to me? To stay with me and remain by my side?” Your lips parted as you saw the desperation on Sunghoon’s face, as if his life depended on you staying.
“I promise I won’t hurt you. I won’t. I can’t”
“But you’re hurting my brother. And because of that, you’re also hurting me.” You don’t have the right to complain. You deserved the pain. But your brother?
He let go and sniffed the air. “Okay. You want me to stop hating on your brother? I can do that. I’ll do it for you.” He looked at you with a longing look. “You also said I should forgive my father? Fine, I’ll do that too.” You couldn’t speak. What was he trying to do to you? He reached out and held your palm, then clasped your hands.
“If I do all that, will you stay by my side? Will you promise not to leave me? Will you stay with me forever?”
“I realized that I was blinded by anger. Sohyun wouldn’t want me to blame the man she loved forever.” Joy enveloped your heart. It felt so good to hear your husband’s words. You never expected that he would be willing to do everything just to keep you by his side. That he’s finally ready to set his anger aside. But there’s one thing he didn’t know. And Sunghoon would hate you more if you keep it hidden from him much longer. You should have confessed earlier.
How will he believe you now? Even if you tell him that you love him…
Your eyes stung with tears. You shook your head. “No… You don’t understand.”
Sunghoon lifted your face with a finger, wiping your tear that traced a path down your cheek. “What do I not understand?” He asked, his voice soft yet urgent. “What is it, Y/n?”
You could only shake your head, your tears falling relentlessly. Sunghoon enveloped you in a warm embrace, offering you solace in the cold, dark night.
“Please, Y/n,” He murmured, his voice trembling with emotions. “Just promise me that you won’t run away. That we’ll always be together. That’s all I want to hear. Please.”
You continued to sob into his chest. Truth be told, you wanted the same thing—to be together forever, to be happy in each other’s arms. But that was impossible. It was never going to happen. You sniffled and gathered all your courage. Gently, you pushed him away from you. You shut your eyes tightly before looking straight into his eyes.
“It wasn’t my brother’s fault that Sohyun died. It was mine.” Your throat ached, and the words seemed to resist coming out. “It was only right that I pay for what I did. So it’s not fair that you blamed Heeseung for what happened…”
You saw Sunghoon’s expression change. “What are you talking about, y/n?” This isn’t your fault.”
You stood firm You knew you had to stick to the truth, no matter how painful. “It was all my idea. It was my decision that led to Sohyun’s death. I can’t let Heeseung suffer for something he didn’t do.”
A mixed of shock and confusion crossed Sunghoon’s face. “It wasn’t Heeseung’s fault that your sister is no longer with us. It was my fault. The anniversary surprise, the candle lit dinner—” You gulped, and tears streamed down your cheeks again. “Those were all my idea.” You roughly wiped away the tears, but no matter what you did, they kept falling.
“If I hadn’t suggested all that, Sohyun would still be here. You wouldn’t be left alone. Everything would be okay.” Your chest tightened as you confessed everything to him. “Sunghoon… I… I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”
You could barely breathe from crying, and through it all, Sunghoon just stood there in front of you. This must be it. He must be hating you now and cursing you to death. You wouldn’t be surprised if he suddenly told you to rot in hell. You turned away to head back to your house. You had your answers. You didn’t need to leave because Sunghoon wouldn’t want you anywhere with him anymore.
You calmed yourself and dried the tears to see your way, but a tight hug from behind stopped you in your tracks. The embrace was so firm, you could barely breathe. You cried even harder. Sunghoon turned you around and you buried your face in his chest.
‘I’m so sorry. I never thought it would all end in an accident.”
He comforted you. “Heeseung’s surprise for my sister was your idea. That’s all it was. You and Heeseung didn’t mean her any harm. Both of you just wanted to make her happy.” You pulled away slightly and looked up at him. There wasn’t a trace of hatred on his face.
“Aren’t you going to yell at me? Sohyun died because of me.” At that, you started crying again. He sighed and tried to calm you down.
“Weren’t you listening? To be honest, ever since you came back to in to my life, my anger had gradually disappeared. I think I used what happened as an excuse to keep you by my side. I could never hate you.”
“But—” He silenced you with a kiss.
“I’m sure my sister is happy up there. I know that because I felt like she’s watching over me from there. Sohyun never wanted me to live a miserable life.” He gently stroked your hair.
“She once told me that I should stop shutting myself from the world. And when she died, it felt like my anger was the only thing keeping me alive. Until I saw you again. You were so bright that I wanted to put everything behind me. And I remembered that my sister told me I always needed to stay in the light.” He carefully caressed your cheek. After a very long time, you saw the man you loved once again.
“And you are my light, Y/n. you’re my very own brand of sunshine. The moment I saw you again, I felt alive. You complete the happy days I once had.”
If this was a dream, you wished to be a princess who had slept for a long time. And if possible, you hoped never to wake up. If this was real, why did it seem so unbelievable? You had expected a mad beast with eyes full of hate, not a handsome prince with eyes filled with love.
Oh God. Is this real?
“Yes, Y/n. This is real.” You hadn’t realized that you voiced your question out.
“But, Sunghoon. I know how much Sohyun’s death affected you. I don’t want you to hide that from me just because you promised not to hurt me. Whatever makes you feel better—”
“It’s true that my sister’s death nearly killed me. But you…” He paused, searching for the right words.
“The thought of another person I love frightened the hell out of me. If I lose you, I know I won’t be able survive.”
You embraced him tightly. “I won’t leave you.”
“Do you really accept me as your husband, Y/n? Are you ready to be with me for always? Will you love me too?” He looked deep into your eyes.
You wanted to say yes. You wanted to tell him that you already loved him. That you have loved him for a long time. Your gaze shifted towards your house, where you saw your brother watching the both of you. He nodded, as if giving you the encouragement to do what you truly wanted. Slowly, a smile spread across your face. You looked up to Sunghoon, who was gazing at you with complete love. Tears pooled in your eyes again, but this time, they were tears of joy.
“I love you, Park Sunghoon.” You finally managed to say. “I’ve always loved you. Even when our paths separated, that love never faded. I still love you.” Sunghoon let put a breath, his eyes closing briefly.
He hugged you tight and kissed the top of your head. “Thank you. Thank you for loving me.”
You returned the warm embrace to your husband. “I still feel guilty about Sohyun,” you sighed.
“Stop it,” He scolded you gently. “She loves us, and I know she wants us to be happy. There’s nothing to worry about now, baby.” Right. Sohyun had been a kind and loving sister top Sunghoon. She treated you like a sibling too. She genuinely loved your brother. She wouldn’t want anyone of you to be sad.
Under the moonlight, you promised to love the man you promised to be with for a lifetime with all your heart. You would give him the light he needed and all the love you could offer. You would be together for an eternity. And it would start now.
“I love you so much. Y/n.” You heard him whisper. You tightened your hug on Sunghoon even more.
“I love you.”

It was supposed to be rainy afternoon according to the weather report last night. But the weather seemed to be cooperating with them because not a single dark cloud marred the sky. You wondered how it would feel to live in a world where there was no sadness and pain; where only the warmth of love and happiness enveloped you.
Then you realized that in this world, one need all those sufferings to appreciate the beauty of life. You should face your fears and endure trials to become a better person. You smiled as you looked back and saw your husband leaning against the tree where you were taking shelter.
Sunghoon is a great example of someone consumed by darkness, yet learning to return to the colorful world. Well, all of you went through some tough times, but you believed it was Sunghoon who suffered the most. You approached him, locking eyes. You sucked in your breath. He still looked dark and powerful, but that was just because of his striking physical appearance. The dark aura that used to surround him was gone.
“We need to get going, you know?” You reminded with a smile.
He held your waist and pulled you closer to him. “I know, baby. I was just doing some reminiscing.”
“Like when you tripped here while we were chasing after Sohyun and Heeseung?” you teased him. The corners of his lips lifted in to a smile.
“Very funny.” You grinned and planted a quick kiss on his lips.
“So… Shall we go to Sohyun’s grave?” Before, his expression darkened whenever he remembered his sister, not it didn’t. He maintained a light demeanor. It was Sohyun’s death anniversary, and you planned to visit with your brother, Heeseung. The feud between the two men had been resolved.
“Yeah, I think we should go now. I want to catch Heeseung being dramatic.”
You wrinkled your nose. “How mean.” Sunghoon just grinned and kissed you quickly on the lips. You both started walking towards his car.
“You know what? My visits to my sister will be different now,” He said.
“What do you mean?”
“Before, whenever I would visit her, I always said I would seek revenge on those responsible for her loss.” He tightened his grip on your hand. “But today would be different because you’re with me, and Heeseung and I are okay. I used to visit her with a heavy heart, but this time, I would face her with a smile.”
“And she must be smiling back at you,” You said happily.
“I know.” Sunghoon stopped walking and looked at you with lovingly.
“Thank you. Thank you for being my light, y/n.” You were momentarily taken aback but quickly returned the smile to your lips.
“I always got you. I love you.”
“I love you, too.”

You were sprawled on your bed, textbooks and notes scattered around like a battlefield.
You were powering through your study session, knowing full well you'd ace your exams. This was more about keeping the edge sharp than actual worry.
Your phone buzzed with a text from Wonyoung
Wony🐰: big night for jay’s celebration. clubbing’s on us. come on, you deserve a break!
You smirked, your focus momentarily shifting from the textbooks. Before you could reply, Winter’s call came through.
“Y/N, you coming to Jay’s party? It’s gonna be epic. You need to let loose for a bit."
“Yeah, I’ll be there. Just finishing up some stuff first.”
You answered with a casual tone.
Winter chuckled.
“Thought you might say that. See you soon.”
You ended the call and tossed your phone aside, gathered your things with a practiced efficiency, and slipped into your clubbing gear—something that combined effortless style with a hint of rebellion.
The exams were no sweat, but tonight was about embracing the energy and leaving the stress behind.
As you headed out, you knew you’d hit the ground running again tomorrow, but for now, it was time to reclaim the night.

The lights flicker in a chaotic dance with the bass, casting shadows that meld with the crowd's movement. You were nestled in a dimly lit corner, nursing a drink that’s losing its chill. Your friends are lost in the pulsating rhythm on the dance floor, but you're craving something different—something with an edge.
As you watched the swarming sea of bodies, you catch snippets of conversations and laughter. The usual group of guys has wandered over, but their small talk falls flat. They offer nothing but predictable flattery and lackluster charm.
Your gaze sweeps through the crowd until it landed on the DJ.
He was almost surreal, his features striking and chiseled as if crafted by divine hands. The way he commands the decks, lost in the rhythm, makes him look effortlessly magnetic. Every movement is fluid and intense, and there’s an undeniable allure about him that keeps your eyes locked on him.
But despite your fascination, you held back from approaching. You’ve always been the one to stay aloof, letting others make the first move.
Tonight, you were determined to stick to that principle.
If he’s interested, he’ll have to find a way to chase you—because that's how things have always worked for you.
You spent the night there, stealing glances at him from time to time. You knew right then and there that you wanted him.
—
Over the past few weeks, you've returned to this exact club every night, disregarding your exams because you knew you'd ace them anyway.
The club was throbbing with energy as usual, and you were nestled in your favorite corner, watching the DJ work his magic at the booth. The music feels particularly electrifying, and your focus remains unwaveringly on him. A mix of curiosity and desire simmers beneath your cool exterior.
As the night wears on, a sober friend of a friend, someone you’ve seen around but never spoken to, strikes up a conversation with you. He was a regular and seems to know everything about the club’s inner workings.
After a few exchanged pleasantries and a bit of small talk, he leans in conspiratorially, as if sharing a well-kept secret.
“You know,” he says with a smirk, nodding toward the DJ booth, “that guy up there? His name is Park Sunghoon. He’s not just some random DJ. He’s actually loaded. His family’s got more money than they know what to do with.”
You raise an eyebrow, intrigued. “Really?”
“Yeah,” he continues, “He’s got this whole other life. Runs a bunch of businesses and everything. But he’s here every night, spinning records because he genuinely loves it. He’s quite famous around here; definitely one of the best assets of this club. And despite the fact that girls are practically falling over themselves for him, he couldn’t care less. It’s like he’s got this whole detached cool thing going on. Makes him even more interesting, don’t you think?”
You were taken aback, sensing that he’s aware of your interest. “So, why does he stick around here if he’s got all that?”
The informant’s smirk widens, as if he’s been waiting for you to ask.
“Well, it’s obvious you’ve been keeping an eye on him. I figured you’d want to know. He sticks around because this is his sanctuary. No one bothers him about business or family here.”
You nod, feeling a mix of surprise and satisfaction at his perceptiveness. “Sounds like he’s got a lot more going on.”
“Exactly,” he replies, his eyes twinkling with knowing. “And he’s not one for easy connections. If you want to get to know him, you’ll have to bring something real to the table. He’s not impressed by the usual attempts.”
The revelation hits you with a jolt of excitement. The fact that Sunghoon is both wealthy and dedicated to his craft, combined with his indifference to the attention he gets, only deepens the intrigue you feel.
You thanked your informant with a nod, and he headed off, leaving you to process this new layer of mystery surrounding Sunghoon.
As the night progressed, you watched him with renewed interest. His effortless charisma and the way he immerses himself in his music take on a new significance. There’s a sense of challenge now, a question of whether you can penetrate the cool facade and discover what lies beneath.

The Next Night
You were at the club again, drink in hand, the familiar beat of the music pulsing through the air. The night is set for its usual course: you’re in your favorite corner, eyes fixed on Sunghoon at the DJ booth. It’s become a bit of a routine for you—an exercise in patience and subtlety.
Tonight, you were ready for what you have expected. To be just another night of silently sending your unspoken message: “Fuck me.”
You figured if you stared hard enough, he might have somehow pick up on it. It’s a game you’ve gotten used to, even if it seemed a little ridiculous. You were so focused on him until a guy approached you.
The guy was tall and confident, his smile effortlessly charming. "Hey there. Care for a dance?"
Normally, you’d turn a man down without a second thought, but tonight, you were feeling a bit adventurous. You considered the offer, a spark of curiosity piqued by the idea of doing something different. With a playful smile, you sat your drink down and nodded.
“Sure,” you said, rising from your seat. “Let’s see what you’ve got.”
As you headed towards the dance floor, you stole one last glance at Sunghoon, who was focused on his turntables but would glance at your way occasionally.
You wondered if he noticed your change in routine. The night just might turned out to be more interesting than you’d anticipated.
The music is pulsating, and the crowd is moving in sync with the beats. As you start dancing, you make sure to catch Sunghoon’s eye, knowing he was watching.
You danced seductively, grinding and moving in intimate ways with the guy, all the while keeping Sunghoon in your peripheral vision. The guy seems to enjoy the attention but notices your focus elsewhere.
As you were dancing, you felt a presence behind you. The guy you were dancing with seemed to have sensed it too and steps aside, giving way to the new arrival.
And there he was. The famous Park Sunghoon emerges from the crowd, his gaze locked on you with a smirk.
He approached with purpose, his confidence radiating.
"Mind if I cut in?" Sunghoon’s voice was deep and smooth, and you can hear the hint of a challenge in it.
You turned to face him, your heart racing. "Not at all," you replied, flashing him a flirtatious smile.
Sunghoon took the guy’s place, his hands finding your waist as he pulled you close. The intensity between you two is palpable, and you can feel the heat of his body against yours.
"You’ve been coming here a lot," Sunghoon murmurs, his breath warm against your ear.
You looked up at him, eyes sparkling with mischief. "Hmm, I have my reasons."
"Really? And what might that reason be?" Sunghoon asks, his voice low and intrigued.
You teased, "You'll have to find out."
Sunghoon's smile widens, and he pulled you even closer. The music faded into the background as you focused solely on each other. His hands were firm but gentle on your body, guiding you as you moved to the beat. The chemistry between you was undeniable, and you can feel the passion building.
"So, what made you decide to come back here night after night?" Sunghoon asked, his lips brushing against your ear.
You shivered at his touch, your voice barely a whisper. "I’m seeing someone."
"Someone like me?" he probed, his tone both teasing and serious.
"Maybe," you replied with a playful smile. "Or maybe someone who makes me feel this way."
Sunghoon's eyes darkened with desire as he looked at you. "And what is that feeling?"
You met his gaze, your voice steady but filled with longing. "Excited. Alive. Wet. Like I can’t get enough."
Sunghoon’s fingers traced a path down your side, sending shivers through you. "You’re making it hard for me to keep my distance."
You leaned closer, your lips almost touching his ear. "Then don’t."
The dance floor seems to blur around you as you lose yourself in the moment. Sunghoon's touch is electrifying, and you can feel the heat between you growing stronger. The music was pulsing around you, creating a perfect backdrop for the connection you're building.
After a few more songs, Sunghoon took your hand and guided you through the crowd, out of the club and into the cool night air. The contrast between the stifling heat of the club and the crispness of the night is refreshing.
You walked in silence for a moment, the adrenaline from the dance still coursing through your veins.
Sunghoon led you to a quieter, darker alleyway behind the club, away from prying eyes. The city's sounds faded as you stepped into the shadows, and he turned to face you. The intensity in his eyes was palpable, and you felt the electric charge between you.
He pressed you against the wall, his lips crashing onto yours in a fiery kiss. The urgency and passion of his touch took your breath away, and you responded eagerly, your hands exploring his body as his hands finds their way to your curves. Every touch, every kiss is a whirlwind of sensation, and you lost yourself in the moment.
Sunghoon’s hands slid under your dress, and you gasped as he found the sensitive spots that made you shiver. Your moans were muffled by his mouth as he kissed you deeply, his touch sending waves of pleasure through you.
His touch was both rough and tender, igniting a fire within you. You can feel his desire growing, and it heightens your own.
He lifted you slightly, your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist. The alleyway’s cold walls press against your back, but the warmth of his body and the intensity of his touch creates a cocoon of heat around you. The world outside seems distant and irrelevant; it's just the two of you and the throbbing beat of your hearts.
He pulled back slightly, making you slightly groan at the lack of closeness, his breath mingling with yours. His gaze is full of raw emotion, and you saw the hunger in his eyes.
“You drive me crazy,” he murmurs, his voice rough with desire.
You smiled, your voice a soft purr. “That’s the idea.”
With renewed passion, Sunghoon's hands grew bolder as they roamed over your body, starting from your legs and moving up to your ass, giving it a firm squeeze.
The touch elicited a soft whimper from you, a sound that made his eyes darken with desire. Taking advantage of the moment, he plunged his tongue into your mouth, exploring it thoroughly and claiming it as his own.
He lifted on of your legs off the ground, securing your waist in a possessive grip as he pressed your body tightly against his.
Your fingers traced a slow, tantalizing path from his neck down to his broad chest, feeling the hard planes of his muscles under your fingertips. They continued their journey to his defined abs, each touch sending shivers of excitement through you.
Just as you were about to reach for his clothed cock, his hand shot out to stop you, and with a swift, controlled movement, he pinned both your hands above your head, holding them there firmly.
“Fuck… Not so fast, baby.” He whispered in your mouth as you looked up at him, your breath coming in quick, shallow gasps. His eyes were dark and filled with desire.
“S-sunghoon.. please—“ He smirked at the sight of your neediness.
“Shh, let me handle this.” He lowered his head, trailing kisses down your neck, leaving a blazing trail of heat in his wake. You arched your back, pressing your body closer to his, craving more of his touch.
His other hand roamed over your body, exploring every curve and inch of your exposed skin that he could, making you even needier and wetter than you already were.
“Sunghoon… Please. I need you.” He chuckled softly, the sound vibrating against your skin.
“Patience, baby. Good things come from those who wait.”
His lips captured yours once again, and this time the kiss was sloppy and even more intense, filled with a hunger that leaves you breathless. He releases your hands, and you immediately tangle your fingers in his hair, pulling him closer.
“I can’t wait anymore.”
“I know, baby.” He whispered against your lips.
With that, he lifts you up, your legs wrapping around his waist. He carries you to a more secluded area of the club, where the lights are dim and the music is just a distant thrum. He sets you down on a couch, his body pressing against yours.
“Are you sure about this?” He asked genuinely, you locked your eyes with his as you nodded.
“I have never been more sure,”
Sunghoon groaned at your response as his hands roam over your body again, this time more urgent, more demanding.
He slips his hand under your dress, fingers teasing the edge of your panties.
“God, you’re so beautiful.” He stared in to your eyes, his hand slipping inside your panties, fingers finding your most sensitive spot. You moan into his mouth, your body arching into his touch.
He continued to rub circles on your clit, thoroughly enjoying the expression you were giving him. You moved your hand to his, pushing his fingers deeper, indicating that you wanted him to give you more.
“So, so needy,” he murmured, his voice dripping with a mix of amusement and desire. He leaned in, licking your earlobes before slipping two fingers inside you.
The sudden intrusion made you moan out loud, arching your back as waves of pleasure coursed through your body.
“Fuck,” you breathed into his ear, your voice trembling with need. You began to grind your hips, matching the rhythm of his fingers. Each thrust of his hand sent shivers down your spine, making you crave more.
“Fuck me now, please. I want your cock inside me. Fuck me hard.”
He smirked against your neck, his fingers pumping in and out of you faster, curling just right to hit that perfect spot inside you.
“You want it that badly, huh?” he teased, his voice a low, seductive growl.
You could only nod frantically, your body desperate for more. “Yes, Sunghoon. Please,” you begged, your hips bucking against his hand. “I need you. Make me yours.”
His eyes darkened with lust as he withdrew his fingers, leaving you feeling empty and yearning. He quickly undid his pants, freeing his hard length. You glanced down, your eyes widening at the sight of him.
Without another word, he positioned himself at your entrance, teasing you a bit by rubbing his tip against your wet folds. The sensation made you whimper, your hands clutching his broad shoulders.
“Tell me how much you want it,” he demanded, his eyes locking onto yours.
“I want you so fucking,” you gasped, your voice almost a plea. “I want you to fuck me hard, fuck me until I go dumb.”
With a groan, he thrust into you inch by inch, slowly filling you completely. The fullness made you cry out in pleasure, your nails digging into his skin.
Without letting you savor the moment of his cock deep inside you, he started to move in a rough, fast pace, each thrust sending waves of ecstasy through your body, making you roll your eyes.
You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, your moans and his grunts blending with the pounding music in the background.
“God, you feel so good,” he panted, his lips crashing onto yours in a heated kiss. “So tight, so perfectly made for my cock.”
You could only moan in response, the pleasure overwhelming your senses. You matched his rhythm, meeting each of his powerful thrusts with equal fervor. The pressure built up inside you, threatening to explode.
“Sunghoon, I’m gonna—” you managed to gasp out, your body trembling on the edge of release.
“Cum for me, baby,” he urged, his voice rough with need. “Cum all over my cock.”
With one more thrust, you shattered, your orgasm ripping through you. Your walls clenched around him in intense pleasure, making him moan.
Sunghoon continued thrusting into you, riding out his own high. Still sensitive from your release, the overwhelming pleasure made you moan on the top of your lungs and cling to him tightly.
"I'm cumming, baby," he groaned. With one final, powerful thrust, he poured his hot release into your tight, convulsing heat, filling you completely.
He collapsed on top of you, both of you panting and spent. After a moment, he lifted his head, looking down at you with a satisfied smirk.
“You were amazing,” He murmured, pressing a gentle kiss on your lips.
"That was... incredible," you say, your voice still shaky with emotion.
Sunghoon chuckles softly, pulling you close again. "It really was. We should do this more often, and maybe you might consider going on a date with me.”
You smile, feeling a new connection with him. "A date? With that Park Sunghoon? I’d like that."

letting out an exaggerated huff after your dad had closed the door to your room, you threw yourself backwards into the bed. you hated balls. and eve more, you hated it because he would be there. deciding not to waste any time whining over a stupid prince, you stood up and made your way to your cupboard. ‘ what to wear..’ you thought to yourself, biting down on the inside of your cheek while your eyes skimmed over the large amount of options. lazily reaching your hand over to a deep blue and silky dress, you tugged it out and away from the huge variety of other dresses. since it was formal, you wanted something modest. something that wouldn’t catch park sunghoon eyes.
sighing as you held the dress out in front of you, you contemplated whether it was nice enough. surely all of the other girls that had the pleasure of being invited would be wearing something much more formal than what you were planning to wear. sighing as you brought your hand up to run through your hair, you glanced at the dress one more time before surely draping it down on your bed, turning to look at it once more. nodding to yourself after detangling your hand from your hair, you turned around and made your way over to your counter top. sucking in a deep breath, you chose out the type of make-up you liked instead of calling in the lady who usually helps you to get ready and put on your make-up, once again, not choosing anything too extra. of course, you wanted to look pretty tonight but you didn’t want it to be overdone like it usually is for all the other parties. after around an hour or trial and error, you had finished your makeup. now all was left was.. your dress.
spinning around in your spot to look at it, you tilted your head to the side, still deciding whether you should wear it or not. with a quiet hum, you made your way back to your cupboard to take a final look. everything was so.. fancy. groaning, you rubbed at your forehead before taking your original dress off the clothes hanger and slipping off your clothes.
pulling the dress up with a small grunt, you looked into the large mirror that covered one side of your bedroom wall. it was definitely a tight fit.. pulling your eyes away from the figure that stared back at you through the mirror. you couldn't deny you looked good. the way the dress hugged your upper figure was perfect and how it expanded around your hips looked so majestic. one you had finished, you lifted your phone up to glance at the time. “ shit!” you cursed to yourself before rushing over to where you kept your shoes, throwing on a pretty air of heels to match with your dress. taking a final look in the mirror, you clutched onto a small handbag before rushing out of your room and down the large spiralling stairs. “ mom, dad?? have you left?” you called out, almost tripping over yourself.
stopping at the font door, your parents stood there, waiting. “ we told you to be quick y/n” they said, clearly not impressed. giving them a small apologetic smile, you followed after them as they walked out and to the limo that waited for us. pouting as you looked down, you waddled over to the limo before slipping into the back seat after your parents. you fixed your dress out against the seats, trying to make sure it wouldn't wrinkle into an awkward position. the car ride was silent apart from the small notification noises that rang out from your phone. “y/n. turn that off.” your dad says, shooting you a glare from further up the limo, earning a small huff from you.
once you ha finally arrived at the huge castle, you slipped out of the car and looked u at the castle, twinkling lights shining from almost every room that was visible from the front. “ remember why you’re here y/n, we need to marry you off. and that sunghoon guy, he seems lovely.” your mom explains, softly nudging you out of the way so they could exit the limo as you were too busy gawking at the castle in front of you. her small comment earned a scoff from you, lucky enough for you that it went unnoticed. you slowly made your way up to the castle behind your parents, the castle only growing in size as your approached it. a group of giddy girls made their way past you giggling as they walked into the mansion-like castle, your eyes following after them as they disappeared into what seemed like the ball room.
you and your parents followed them, hoping that where the girls were going was the correct room as all three of you had ever been there before. your eyes lit up as you saw the fancy decoration and huge chandelier, walking closer before getting stopped by an arm in front of you. your eyes traced up their arm, stopping on your moms face. ‘ y/n, top manners yes? and be lady-like.” she says, giving you a nod of her head before moving her arm that was blocking the glorious path in front of you. you simply nodded back at her, making your way into the huge hall. people were laughing, talking and eating all around the place. it was packed. taking a deep breath, you walked down the staircase to a large platform everybody was sprawled out on. biting down on your bottom lip nervously, you glanced back to where your mom had previously been standing, only to be met with the one and only. park sunghoon.
your eyes widened and you quickly made your way down the stairs, trying to avoid him. “ y/n, is it?” he called out making your face scrunch up, your eyebrows furrowing. stopping in your tracks, you spun around on your heel to face him. “ yes. is it” you respond bluntly, thinking about what your mother had reminded you. “ that's me, and you must be park sunghoon?” you quickly correct, masking a smile before making your way back up the stairs since you were practically yelling over the distance of the stairs. you kept your head down while walking up, only stopping when you saw his hand extended out to you. pushing your tongue against your cheek, you lifted your head as your eyes instantly connected with him. he was so much more handsome up close.. shaking the idea from your head, you maintained a sweet smile. sunghoon pulled his eyes away from yours, starting to get awkward. “ um.. may i?” he asked, wobbling his hand that was still extended, earning a small laugh from you. “ very prince like” you say, raising your eyebrows for a brief moment before taking his warm hand in yours.
as you both walked down the stairs together, you lowered your head in embarrassment from the stares you were getting from a few other girls. “ head up princess” he says quietly, keeping his head up and turning only his eyes to look at you. you could instantly feel your cheeks start to flare up from the sudden name, not going unnoticed by the man whose hand was in yours. he let out a quiet chuckle as his tongue grazed over his lips. after what seemed like an eternity, you reached the bottom of the stairs as he turned to look at you. “y/n, did you come here with anybody?” he asks you as he slipped his hand out of yours. simply shaking your head, you looked around at the people surrounding the both of you, thankful that they had all found something to busy themselves on.
“ great, your with me tonight” he spoke out, swallowing as he tried his best to maintain his charm. your head almost snapped back into place when you heard those words. “ uh, no, im not” you respond quickly, looking up at him with knitted eyebrows. “ you said you weren't here with somebody. so you’re with me now” he explains softly, a scoff leaving your lips. ‘no- look, im with him” you say, grabbing onto the closest male, spinning him around. a small ‘ew’ left his lips as he tugged your hand off his arm and turned back to whatever he was doing. your eyebrows furrowed as your turned your attention back to sunghoon who was silently giggling. “ he doesn't seem very nice” sunghoon joked, nudging your arm. “ tch.. “ you pursed your lips, avoiding eye contact with him. “ so, your with me tonight since your date doesn't fancy you” he teased, still giggling. you rolled your eye, fixing some loose strands of hair.
‘ yay, exciting.” you said in a monotone voice, chuckling and joking along with him. “ you’re unusual y/n” he spoke calmly, extending his hand out to you once again. this time, you held it without hesitance. which one again, didn't go unnoticed by sunghoon. “ see, you’re getting the hang of this” he mumbled softly, nodding as he deliberately swayed into you while walking. “ why are you doing that” you asked, eyebrows furrowing once again as you looked at him while beginning sot walk. into the same man you grabbed you went. you instantly let go of sunghoons hand, bowing to the man as your cheeks lit up in a bright red hue. he rolled his eyes, nodding as he turned around and started to walk away to somebody else. “ smoooth..” sunghoon laughed, almost instantly slipping his hand back into yours while pulling you away from the crowd. unsure of where you were going, you just followed along as you already felt some sort of bond and trust with him. he had tugged you outside onto a more quiet balcony. “ come, sit here” he said, gesturing to two seats that sat next to each other, facing the railings.
not letting go of your hand the whole time, he say down on the chair next to the one you had chosen. “ do your parents like me?” he asked quietly, staring off at the slowly fading sunset which was turning to night. “ like is an underrating... why?” you said softly, turning to look at him, admiring his side profile. “ because if i was to ask to get closer to you, then they would have to approve. but i guess that's not a problem now.” he trailed off, sighing as he turned to look at you, smiling. “ right?” he asked, a hint of unsureness in his voice. you simply nodded, returning the smile he gave you, only making him smile wider as his little fangs poked out. “ good.” he plainly responded with a small chuckle, slightly inching closer you.
you noticed, fiddling with the shoulder strap of your dress as you started to feel nervous. “ hey, your okay with this right?” he asked, ever so slightly tilting his head to the side. without any hesitation you nodded, and also started to lean forward. starting to get impatient at how painfully he was taking to get closer, you reached your hand up and placed it on sunghoons jaw, pulling him closer. your lips collided together in a slow kiss that seemed to last for so long but realistically, only lasted for a few seconds. pulling away from the kiss after you felt your cheeks become pink again, you lowered your gaze to your lap.
“ so can i call you princess”
