Random thought of the morning: I’ve never liked that when you have to write out a currency amount, you put the dollar sign before the number
No matter how hard I try, I’m never able to read it as anything but “dollars” and then that amount
Like if you texted me “the thing I just bought was $100”
In my head I wouldn’t read it as 100 dollars
I’d read it as “dollars 100”
