The songs stuck in my head today have been a sandwich of Getaway Car by Taylor Swift for the bread and Piano Man by Billy Joel as the middle.
And the ever lasting toothpick through my music head is When Will my Life Begin from Tangled
This isn’t as good as the Rewrite The Stars edit I did, but it’s still good!
By the logic of the Riordanverse, Taylor Swift is probably a demigod. While Apollo seems the obvious godly parent for her (music), I headcanon she's actually a daughter of Nemesis who also happens to be a musician. I'm not actually much of a swiftie, but my sister is, and going off of the songs I know, she seems big on revenge. Vigilante, Karma, and all the songs about her exes and ex-friends and assorted people she's mad at.
This way, she and Apollo are actually exes. Not sure which song(s) would be about her relationship with Apollo, maybe "I Knew You Were Trouble"? Or maybe he's her only ex she hasn't released a song about - Apollo being the god of music, maybe he could've stopped her somehow, or put some sort of curse on the song?
Anyway yeah, Taylor Swift is the daugher of Nemesis and ex of Apollo.
