Prompt 71
The other witchers at Kaer Morhen have always grown tired of Geralt's random moodswings and bouts of gloom and grumpiness during the winter. He'd be happy and carefree, safe in his home, and then some dark thought would crest in his mind, and for a few days straight, he'd be in a horrible mood. When one year he brings his bard with him, they realize the moodswings have disappeared completely. That is, until Jaskier starts trying to "bond" with them all and spends less time with Geralt. Then all of a sudden the snarls and snaps from Geralt are back. One day, Lambert gets tired of Geralt's sass, and shoves Jaskier at him, and they're all amazed when Geralt loses his bad mood and instead chooses to carry his bard off to cuddle in front of the fireplace. Nuzzling him and purring the whole time. Thus commences a new rule of Kaer Morhen. If you spot Geralt being pissy, you chuck the bard at him. Jaskier has been taken away from a meal, a game of gwent, his chores, his bed while asleep, and one especially embarrassing time he was taken from a bath. Jaskier is quite alright with the new rule, as it always ends in deligthtful Geralt cuddles, but sometimes he wishes Geralt would just find Jaskier instead of moping when he misses him.
Prompt 90
Jaskier accidentally ingests a love potion, and becomes obsessed with Geralt. He sings him songs, reads him poetry, hugs him and compliments him and blows him kisses. ... Okay so he's acting as he always does. But he desires more touch and affection from Geralt, and who is Geralt to deny his enchanted friend? But Geralt eventually has to leave for a hunt, and Lovepotioned up Jaskier would be in terrible danger if he came with, so Geralt commands he stay back at the inn. He comes back to an absolutely inconsolable bard who keeps asking Geralt what he did wrong, and how he can better for Geralt to love him again. Geralt awkwardly tries to talk his friend through it, before giving up on talking and just giving Jaskier a quick chaste kiss. Jaskier stops blubbering and immediately is overjoyed, enjoying Geralt snuggles the rest of the night. Jaskier sleeps in a bit the next morning, but Geralt wakes him up with a kiss to his forehead and a tender hug. For the rest of the day, Jaskier looks more surprised with every touch or sentence Geralt gives him, which is a tad odd, as the first day of the potion, Jaskier seemed only happy and relieved when Geralt gave him love. Now, Jaskier seems shocked by Geralt's audacity, though still very happy about it. Geralt finally reaches Yennefer, who Jaskier did not know they were on their way to visit. Geralt asks for Yennefer to lift the love potion's curse from Jaskier, only for her to explain it's not there. It was clearly one that wore off in a day. That mean this entire day Jaskier wasn't enchanted but he and Geralt kept acting like it. Jaskier profusely apologizes, already in tears, and confesses he just liked Geralt giving him affection, touch, and praise. Geralt pays Yennefer for her time wasted and scoops up his bard to head back to an inn so they can calm down. Geralt is embarrassed, but not angry, per se. He tells Jaskier this, and gives him a kiss on the forehead. "All you had to do was ask, Bard." "I promise it was real at first!" "I know, Jask." "But you kissed me and held me and-" "I know, Jask." "I'm sorry." "It's forgiven, bard. We don't have to stop." That night, both bard and witcher fell asleep, wrapped around each other, both's lips bruised from kissing.
Prompt 105
Jaskier has come to realize that Geralt sleeps better when touching Jaskier in some way. He supposes Geralt was always more well-rested when they shared beds, but he thought that was from the bed, not the proximity said beds usually forced them into. Jaskier gets hurt during a hunt, and falls asleep curled around Geralt and vice versa. Slowly, over the span of a few days, Geralt goes from full-blown cuddling him, to just resting his hand on top of his, now a foot or so away so it's all that touches. Jaskier was actually starting to quite like all the affection, and he knows Geralt feels better when he knows Jaskier is safe... So Jaskier fibs one night and says he sleeps better when Geralt is right there, protecting him. Well, alright, it's not exactly a lie, he does feel safer and he does sleep better, but the fib is that they'll be doing it for Jaskier's comfort and wellbeing, and not Geralt's. Now whenever he can sense Geralt is twitchy with potions, or when Jaskier had a close call in a fight, he makes a big song and dance over feeling rattled and needing Geralt's touch in order to sleep, when in reality, he's doing it so he can reassure his witcher that he is alive and whole, safe in his arms.
