Transphobia, cisnormativity and gender binary: The racism behind the anti-transness, specially nonbinary transness.

If you think for a second, the idea of the cisnormative gender binary are completely eurocentric: Not only because of the many amerindigenous communities who have Two-Spirits as a third gender, because there are many non white/non european ethnic groups who have, not only three, but more than three gender identities. Ethnic groups that existed for centuries, if not for millennias!

This means that gender binary, transphobia and cisnormativity are completely eurocentric. Oh, wait! Even better yet: transphobia, cisnormativity and gender binary are completely racist.

Observe how transphobes commonly mock and demonize trans people. How do you think these mfs would react to cultures and ethnic groups who don't have, nor accept the cisnormative gender binary? It's obvious that they'd react just like their colonizer ancestors; by demonizing and demoralizing these cultures to a whole.

Gender binary and cisnormativity have an important role on treating non white cultures as inferior. Rejecting gender as a social phenomenon = rejecting gender as a cultural phenomenon.

If you think that trans people are mentally ill, delusional or disgusting, you are obviously going to think these cultures are inferior for having more than 2 genders.

That is the reason why being anti-trans and a person of colour at the same time is such a shot on your own feet. You are a descendant of these people, in the end, you are going to get demonized altogether. So don't try to assimilate to think you are accepted.

Long story short: Accepting the gender binary, cisnormativity and/or being a transphobe in general is racism. Because you're not only demonizing random people, you are going to be demonizing cultures also.

I say and repeat: Transphobia is colonialism and gender binarism is racism.

Erm, also, isn't calling transness, specially nonbinariety, a mental illness racist? Because, you know, gender binarism is eurocentric and colonialist? And because many non european cultures had, and have to this day, genders outside of the binary?

Like, don't say they were separate, isolated cases, or this kind of bullshit, because even judaism (the religion many of you evangelical christians, who are also transphobic, appropriate constantly, btw. I know what y'all doing christian zionists.) has 6 genders and a 3th gender was recently discovered in ancient Egypt culture. Are Jews mentally ill? Were the Ancient Egyptians mentally ill? Transphobes probably think that, tbh, since the majority of them are white people and/or conservative.

Anti-transness is racist and colonialist and that is the reason trans people of colour are so even more shoved under the light, but y'all ain't ready for this conversation.

Opinions are opinions. But the fact that simple people in this world don’t understand social construct. To compare genders like Transgender, agender, pangender, and so on, to be mental illnesses is absolutely absurd. I literally was reading Quora this morning and stumbled upon so many damn people believing so.

And those people say they are ‘not transphobes’ and are just ‘stating facts’ and ALSO ‘not living in their fantasy land.’

Well, I have some bad news for those who think they aren’t ’transphobes.’

It’s a social construct. Sorry not sorry. BIOLOGICALLY it’s male, Female, and Intersex. Also known as Hermaphrodite. GENDER PRESENTATION is WOMEN, MEN, AND MORE. You can’t change my mind. Nor will you ever change my mind. Sadly, we can’t change dumb people with simple closed mindsets. 🤷🏾

To those who think it’s a mental illness, simply because we as trans people (me being genderfluid in addition for it being under the trans umbrella) is weird, and transphobic itself. We exist and then POOF! Y’all wanna shoot, beat, and criticize us for being different. I should be questioning those who wanna do these things to different genders and ask if they have a mental problem 💀 cause….???

I felt different. I knew I was going to be different. I’m neurodivergent (more specifically having a communication impairment and problems with learning). I’m genderfluid (identifying genders in every hour, day, week, and so on). I deal with depressed thoughts. I deal with body dysfunction because I hate how I look.
