You're all about to find out how much of a fantasy romance loving sap I am. 😆❤️

Thank you @morgana-lefay for tagging me! You inspired me to rewatch Batman Begins and I forgot how great that movie is.

Top 7 Comfort Films

#1- The Lord of the Rings- Fellowship of the Ring

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

The Lord of the Rings series are my favorite films of all time, and I've seen them probably more than almost any other films. I can't pick a favorite but Fellowship is for sure the most comforting. 💚

#2- Tuck Everlasting

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

This is my favorite book of all time, but also one of my favorite movies. It gives me such a bittersweet sense of peace and a longing to be out in nature.

#3- Laputa- Castle in the Sky

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

I'm a sucker for Ghibli movies, and although this is not my #1 fav, this is the most comforting to me. It was one of the first ones I saw as a kid and it still makes me cry every time. A visually stunning masterpiece If you have not seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it.

#4- Howl's Moving Castle

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

Quite possibly one of the most famous Ghibli films but for good reason. It is still my favorite. I've never identified so strongly with both the male and female lead characters. It is very dear to my heart.

#5- Stardust

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

The adventure, the romance, the humor: This movie is genuinely a 10/10. Also the chemistry between these two on screen... It's just 😙🤌✨

#6- Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

I was very much a potter head growing up, and all of the films are comfort films for me. Oddly enough, this isn't even my favorite film from the series (Half Blood Prince) or my favorite book (Order of the Phoenix) but I just find it so charming and adventurous. Very comforting.

#7- Pride & Prejudice (2005)

You're All About To Find Out How Much Of A Fantasy Romance Loving Sap I Am.

Idk if I even need to explain this one. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good 1800s romance between quite possibly the two most awkward people I've ever seen. Also the soundtrack is masterpiece.

~~~~~
Let me know what y'all think if you check any of these out! I pass this off to @onewholecabbage @starlit-graves @myowndesign @teenage-monster @alexsauruss @mjrtaurus if any of you want to play along. 😁💚
Is Your Theatre Friend Okay?
How to Tell if Your Theatre Person is Okay
(based on the musical they’re listening to on repeat)
From Least to Most Concerning:
Tuck Everlasting: Probably fine. Your friend might be yearning, though.
Heathers: Probably just routine ennui or angst, but if they’re only listening to “I Am Damaged,” “Lifeboat,” and/or “Kindergarten Boyfriend,” then they’re going through it.
Beetlejuice: If they’re only listening to “Dead Mom” on repeat, then you might want to worry. This is an “I am misunderstood” musical.
Waitress: Typically a chill one, but might be nostalgic and/or feeling stuck. Worth asking if they want to talk about it.
Dear Evan Hansen: Also in the safe zone, but if you hear too much of “Words Fail,” their self esteem is probably in the gutter.
Into the Woods: They’re either genuinely fine and just enjoying Sondheim, or actively having an existential crisis. Very little in between.
Cabaret: They’re either having a fresh and sexy time listening to Alan Cumming sing “Willkommen,” or you need to ask them if they’re all right.
Fun Home: Is your friend a tortured theatre gay? Because this is a tortured theatre gay musical. Just FYI.
Next to Normal: If Next To Normal is on repeat, like honestly on repeat, you might have cause for concern. This is a very high caliber depression musical.
Les Miserables: Your friend is wallowing. They’re probably crying about Gavroche because it’s easier to cry about French revolutionaries than process whatever they’re actually going through.
Spring Awakening: Please worry if someone you know is listening to any part of Spring Awakening on repeat. This is a peak depression musical.
