I think it's interesting that uncle fester turns up when enid leaves, because fester conceptually represents being alone and being solo (in wednesday 2022 obviously he was different in og adams family) and he is exactly everything wednesday wants to be.

Hes completely free to do anything including stealing cowprint motorbikes and dropping out of trees trying to electrocute people. He's kind of a foil to the loving familial ideals that gomez and morticia represent and i really think it's telling that he shows up when wednesday fights with enid and not tyler or xavier or eugene or her own mother.

The whole episode wednesday is idolising him and looking up to him as a representation of the life she's always wanted.

But then right at the end, he tries to electrocute Thing back to life and gives up two shocks before he comes back to life. This is the first time that being alone and free has been show to endanger others, Wednesday's attitude has very much been that she is a danger to everyone around her up until this point and i don't think the complete change of character afterwards is an accident.

She's kind to enid admits (in a roundabout way) to missing her, she uses the nightshades to help, shares her investigative work and even collaborates with weems.

It's such a perfect moment, her genuine love for thing saves her life in so many ways i fucking love that show man

The Addams Family are so eccentric they scare anyone who visits them. I like that.👻

Uncle Fester knows what's up. He sees what Wednesday is in denial of.

SCP Foundation/Addams Family Headcanons

I might write a story about these eventually, but feel free to use these in your own fics, as well. Just be sure to credit, and share a link if you'd be so kind!

-The Shy Guy (SCP-096): The Addamses actually consider him to be quite handsome (look at that lovely pallor!), which boosts his self-esteem, at least temporarily. He may or may not be Lurch's distant cousin.

-The Plague Doctor (SCP-049): Naturally, the family is immune to his touch of death, and actually consider him to be a good doctor. Grandmama especially enjoys his youth-enhancing brews. Morticia and Gomez keep trying to play matchmaker for him since he's so handsome and so good with the kids, but he isn't interested since it would interfere with his life's work. He has been the Addams’ family physician for centuries. (Bonus: He also knows the Munsters, but Grandpa considers him a quack. They enjoy getting into scientific arguments.)

-The Statue (SCP-173): Peanut enjoys posing for Morticia's paintings (always the same pose, but that doesn't seem to matter). He'll also let the kids draw on him as long as they wash it off. Uncle Fester likes his neck massages.

-Dr. Wondertainment: A long-time friend and business partner of Gomez Addams, who has become a friend to the family. He sends Wednesday and Pugsley a new toy every Halloween.

More SCP Foundation/Addams Family Headcanons

I didn’t expect so many people to like this crossover idea, so here’s some more SCP/Addams goodness. Enjoy!

-The Possessive Mask (SCP-035): He’s Morticia Addams’ old drama teacher. He still comes over on occasion to put on one-man shows for the family. Uncle Fester sometimes wears the mask for his slime’s rejuvenating properties. (No new hair yet, but here’s hoping!) The Mask is quite the flirt, and Grandmama is more than happy to reciprocate.

-With Many Voices (SCP-939): One of these followed Pugsley home from school one day and became a family pet for about two weeks. (The kids especially enjoyed playing Marco Polo with her.) Unfortunately, her “owners” eventually came to reclaim her, and turned down Gomez’s offer of $100,000 dollars for her. But, anyone dressed in all black can’t be that bad, right? Even if they are a little stuffy.

●●|●●●●●|●●|●: He’s actually a distant relative on Cousin Itt’s side of the family. They always send his invitations to family reunions at the last minute as he always comes the moment they’re written. He doesn’t talk much, but loves giving hugs. Cousin Itt is the only one who can completely understand him.

-The Red Pool (SCP-354): The Red Pool used to be one of the family’s favorite wilderness retreats until that research institute took it over. (Probably out to bottle and sell its rejuvenating waters!) Pugsley misses playing with the giant squid, and Wednesday enjoyed riding the elemental tigers. Gomez has reached out to the new owners to see if they’d be interested in selling, but so far no dice. (Morticia: “Darling, aren’t those the same men who came for the talking hound?” Gomez: “No wonder they won’t sell! They have excellent taste.”)

Wednesday and Enid are walking Uncle Fester to his car.

Enid: It was great spending time with you!

Wednesday: Yes. Unlike mother and father, your company is only mildly nauseating.

Fester slides behind the wheel: Same kiddos, same. Now I have one last thing to say before we get mushy.

Wednesday: Oh?

Fester: Remember kids, don't do drugs

Enid: We would never-

Fester: Without me! Heheheehee

Fester zooms off down the road.

Wednesday: The audacity of that man

Enid: I know but it is very on brand for your uncle

Wednesday pulls out her phone: What is Ajax's number?

Enid: Wednesday, NO
