Please help me. I am trying to find a Demon Slayer fic on Wattpad. I don't remember the title but it is a reader insert where the reader is the mother to the demon moons who have been reincarnated in the modern day. If anyone knows the name of the fic or the author I would appreciate it if you helped me have a good day.

(sorry for this unprompted showcase and unintentional rant/essay but it's midnight I needed to get this off my chest bc it's been on my mind for a year and I need to have other people know)

Cw: a lot of these songs contain lyrics describing toxic relationships and death/suicide. If these topics trigger you, then please don't listen to them. I'll apply a warning to every song mentioned just in case

So, Gyutaro and Daki are the only characters in care about in Demon Slayer (no joke I skipped season 1 and the first few episodes of season 2 bc I only wanted to see them lol) and I absolutely love their voices oml.

Ryōta Ōsaka is now my favorite voice actor. His rasps and growls hit hard.

So I feel the need to assign playlists to all my favorite characters. And I have this weird thing where I like to imagine the characters singing these songs specifically so I try to find artists who sound similar.

So here are some covers by the YouTuber Chogakusei that I think sound close to Gyutaro (and what I think he'd personally sing in a modern au setting lol).

All of the original songs he is covering are linked in his video descriptions back on YouTube if you ever wanted to check them out.

1. Hindrance

Cw: people being deceitful, people being paranoid of each other(?), general animosity and spite towards others, jealousy against other people, mention of children fighting

I could honestly write an entire essay on how the lyrics coincide with Gyutaro's entire life and backstory. It all fits so well with his spitefulness towards the world and how quick he is to resort to violence.

Especially in the beginning when he's mocking this person for being so "good" and seemingly perfect. It just reminds me about how he mocked Tengen and the samurai that tried to kill Ume by burning her.

And the lyrics "Children turning into fighters in an instant" makes me think of how he was essentially forced to resort to violence back when he was a human bc everyone treated him like shit (also him having to be Ume's bodyguard bc she also had to become a sex worker just so they could get food. "Fighters" doesn't always have to mean a physical brawler. It could also refer to someone who's pushing back against the shit hand life gave them via taking whatever opportunity they can)

And when Chogakusei sings "jealousy let's run" my heart just went agh yep that's Gyutaro

2. Neroism

Cw: mentions of a suicide note, person lamenting on how bad life is, person telling others to go die

I'm pretty sure this song is actually about a girl who decides to commit suicide bc of how much her life sucks. But the way Chogakusei sings it just changes the whole vibe into a man so spiteful and hateful towards the world for making his life so terrible, which just matches Gyutaro perfectly

When he sings "Yes, just be sad and die" I'm again reminded of how Gyutaro treats Tengen for being so handsome and wanting him to go die

The growls are just on point with this song oml

(also at the end when he starts the "ahahaha" I imagine it as his head getting cut off and tumbling to the ground like in the anime if this was an animatic :) just to make you feel as sad as me)

3. Bocca della Verità

Cw: mentions of an abusive/toxic relationship, complete hatred towards another person, original music video/lore alludes to a deal with a devil(?), alludes to the abusive person getting killed(?), lyrics mention the singer being dragged into the abyss/possibly hell(Presumably I think???)

I've got no excuse this is just bc he's an angy man.

The screams and growls just fit him, y'know? So does the very harsh "I HATE YOU" mentality

That being said y'all should check out his channel just bc he's an amazing artist and he deserves all the support in the world for his amazing voice!

Now ik I only picked 3 songs for Gyutaro but pretty much any of the songs Chogakusei sang on his channel can be interpreted as gyutaro singing bc he does the good growl voice in basically all of them. I just picked the ones that had lyrics similar to Gyutaro.

But there's still more to talk about my dear friends bc I want to mention Daki as well (don't worry Gyutaro is involved here too and he'll be back in another song lol)

First of all Daki's voice actor (Miyuki Sawashiro) is my second favorite voice actor now bc do you guys know how hard it must be to sound like you're sobbing and whining like a child? I know I would be absolute shit at it and too embarrassed to even try. She's got mad vocal cords and that deserves praise

But I feel like it's harder to find a match with any one singer. It's not as distinct and unique as Gyutaro's but still feels like no one can really replicate it? Idk man

I have two different options currently but I'm biased towards them bc I don't know a lot of Japanese singers that are women so oops on my part.

This is also all based on my headcanon that Daki would sing with a raspier voice than compared to how she normally talks as a sort of allude to her brother

(also bc a while back my choir teacher taught us that the human vocal cords like to mimic other people's vocal cords when they sing/talk. That's why your throat hurts after listening to screamo/metal music all day. Your vocal cords are vibrating to try and mimic the artist who is straight up screeching into the mic - except their throat is trained to do that and yours isn't. My teacher called it vocal mimicry but when I try looking it up, all google shows is of parrots mimicking human speech so maybe this is all made up crap ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

But anyway I feel like growing up around someone with a raspy voice you'd start picking up on it yourself)

Daki can clearly be high pitched but also can get pretty low. There's also a little squeakiness in her speech, like maybe little hitches/voice cracks but it's not overpowering. What I hear most of tho (correct me if I'm wrong lol, my hearing could be off) is that she has a certain cadence to her voice, like there's a resonance in the back of her throat that makes her almost kinda echoy??? Or at least a layered voice?? Am I making any sense here????

But either way. I needed to find a singer who can growl, go to both high and low pitches and who has a resonance in their voice.

So my wonderful friends that is why I have chosen our first option as...

Ado 🎉

I feel like this is a generic/expected response when finding female singers who can growl but I still think it can work.

I'm also mostly focusing on the songs she sang before her debut (as in before the release of Ussewa)

I'll be staying whether these songs are covers or not under their titles.

And Tokyo Cannibalism is the only Ado song on this list with English captions. The rest don't but you can suck it up and appreciate good music without knowing the words. I know you've done it before.

Like just from listening to the first 1:30 of the song and I can already imagine Daki screaming into the mic. Especially with the voice crack when Ado screams "ah!" at 1:11

This one leans more into that high pitched, whiney sort of voice Daki has. Y'know, when she has a meltdown in front of Tengen and when everyone compares her to a boiling teapot? Yeah that.

Also the song's premise kinda goes along with her being a demon and eating people

Cw: (I genuinely don't know bc I can't figure this song out so I'm looking online for the meaning) life generally sucking for two people and treating them like crap(?), maybe those two people kill themselves in the end (??), maybe those two people are girls and are gay for each other but society is just a bunch of homophobes(???)

Ok so maybe not a perfect song for the siblings lyrical wise, but vocally speaking it still works (at least in my book lol)

She was one of the first Japanese artists I listened to so I'm definitely biased here. But her voice is just so good like she can do so many cool pitches it's crazy.

For here I'll be showing the ones where she has a sort of raspy-growl in her voice.

This is what I imagine Daki's voice would be in a modern au if her profession was ever singing - a slight whisper of something unhinged but still very smooth and alluring.

Most of these picks are focused on the voice aspect, so what the lyrics say aren't really of importance.

refuses to fart in a public space, the thought is absolutely mortifying to him

excuses himself politely and goes into a little corner to do it

occasionally when he can't hold it in he lets it out and blames the smell on Douma

DOUMA

accidentally farts when he's laughing too hard but isn't necessarily ashamed of it

it's very unexpected like one second he's wheezing hard and the next you hear a loud one rip

it surprises him too but he just goes "ah, excuse me ✋🏻✋🏻" and just goes right back to saying whatever he was saying

doesn't really stink, unless he's freshly back from munching on women at his shrine lol

KOKUSHIBO

he doesn't feel the need to hold it in if he senses a discreet one coming on but Kokushibo is like really bad at reading his own farts lol

he suspects a silent one bubbling up in his stomach and just decides to let it out at the upper moon summon while he's sitting like 🧎🏻‍♂️ as usual but turns out he misjudged it and it actually comes out loud as fuck scaring everyone in the vicinity

he knows nobody will dare say anything about it cause he's upper moon one and tbh he doesn't really give a shit, he just goes: 👁 👁 👁 _ 👁 "excuse me." 👁 👁

GYOKKO

like those watery ones that sound like someone blowing into a glass of soda with a straw

this mf sharts, i just know he does

does it at the worst moments too like Muzan be talking about how worthless and useless the upper moons are and he's trying his hardest to hold it in but it just comes out right in between Muzan's speech

turns very red and embarrassed

doesn't stink in the air but woe betide if you catch a whiff of his behind

HANTENGU CLONES:

he has those really high pitched squeaky musical note ones that stink like a septic tank

it happens when he's really scared or anxious and just sinks into the floor when they escape

they come out anywhere and everywhere lol Douma snorts everytime it happens and damn near bites his own tongue

SEKIDO

one loud angry fart that just goes 'BLARP'

mostly happens when he can't hold it in anymore and even tho he's embarrassed as hell he'll be looking at you as if daring you to comment on it like "tf you lookin' at huh 🤬"

KARAKU

this mf farts in the blanket and traps Sekido inside, shoving his head in and holding it in a death grip till he's choking and sputtering

he also lifts his leg to do it onto Sekido sometimes just to annoy him

gets his ass beat each time but to him it's worth it lol

UROGI

man has no shame whatsoever will do it anywhere and everywhere and he has those little continuous ones that rumble and stink like hell

sometimes he lets out a long string of trumpet ones. he mostly likes doing it while he's flying cause he feels free and finds it funny that people could be going on with their lives as usual and suddenly they look up to see an overgrown chicken zooming across the sky while letting out a long engine-like backfiring with each toot varying in pitch and tone

AIZETSU

has those silent and deadly ones when he gets overtly anxious or sad

it's bad enough to make the other three gag and cough and he just turns red and starts stuttering out apologies

will probably never look you in the eye again

ZOHAKUTEN

look i don't' know how to describe it but it's as if he's been holding it in for fucking centuries????

like he's deadass gonna stand there with his arms crossed and his face all (ㆆ_ㆆ) while he lets it rip and oh lord it's going to be one of those that just keeps on going and going and going

worst part is he'll probably stare you right in the eye while doing it and woe betide you if you dare laugh at him

GYUTARO

is neutral about it i think

he feels its a regular bodily function so he ain't necessarily ashamed of it

in short he doesn't really give a shit and doesn't even excuse himself when he lets one out lol

they're usually pretty plain and straightforward smell like the normal level of stink

only excuses himself if he does it in front of Daki

KAIGAKU

this mf squats lol

has those loud ass ones that start out low and rumbly and go higher and higher by the second and finally end when they've reached the maximum pitch

he doesn't give a shit and just sniggers at whoever is on the receiving end of this monstrosity

stinks like hell, he really needs to fix his diet

ENMU

he has those little tiny toots that come out unexpectedly and randomly like he could be walking and suddenly you'd hear a little squeak come out from behind him

Tanjiro doesn't become a demon slayer, he doesn't care if his sister has to eat humans to live (whether or not she does is up to you) he run away with her and protects her from demon slayers, he still learns how to use a sword maybe he can still use sun breathing, he does his best to protect his little sister who is slowly getting stronger and she does her best to protect him in return.

Whether or not they still meet Giyu is up to you.

Maybe muzan and the uppermoons caught wind of this human, who uses breathing techniques, protecting a powerful demon or maybe they see it themselves. Same thing with the hashiras.

What am I doing? Well I'm manipulating this girls vision.

Demon Slayer OC : Kibutsuji Fumiko

What if Muzan has a big sister whom he adores very much?

Here is my OC, Fumiko, who is a human instead. I planned to make her sacrificing herself to cure human Muzan who was still sick and when she was dying, she found herself in another world -- the future. So she was reborn in the future with past life memory. One day she somehow got back to the past but instead, she went to Taisho Era when Muzan has become a demon.

Muzan is very happy to have his sister back and keeps his demon identity away from her but Fumiko manages to figured it out someday. She's upset that Muzan has to kill and eat humans to live, but because she's blinded with her love for him, she blamed the doctor who gave Muzan the medicine that turned him into a monster instead. Fumiko eventually gets used to Muzan being a demon and even get the chance to meet the Upper Moons.

Idk if I will ship her with any of the Upper Demons, but she loves them all and often confuses them with her modern knowledge of memes and tiktok things just so she could amuse herself with their confusion.

Facts about Kibutsuji Fumiko

When Muzan was still sick and ill, she was the only one who takes care of him.

She practically raised him herself.

She got into an abusive marriage that lead to her first child to be killed and she to be murdered as well

Got reborn in the modern world

She still remembers her previous life

Became a herbalist because she always regret not knowing medical herbs that would have helped Muzan with his illness

Friends with a zoologist and a doctor, so she knows a lot of their work fields

Got hit by the usual truck-kun and go to the Taisho Era

Is very shook to see her weak brother now is the strongest demon

Not a really good person nor a bad person

she just do what she wants

like Muzan, but without violence

She knows what her brother is doing his wrong,

but all her life she wanted him to live healthily and does what he wants

so she let him be because she loves him

Got spoiled by her brother ever since she reunited with him

Fumiko likes hanging out with the Uppermoons

Douma and Daki gossiped that Fumiko might have a crush on Kokushibou because she hangs out with him the most

Fumiko flinched every time someone near her raises their hands to do something else ( scratching their head, etc )

Muzan recognised this to be the trauma from her abusive marriage and forbid the demons to do any violence in front of Fumiko

Been meaning to draw him for a while ✨ I'm obsessed with drawing characters as if they were on a poster hhh

Muzan possesses such a high level of emotional intelligence that enables him to read people deeply, manipulate them to his advantage, and exploit their weaknesses. He knows how to agitate them to get what he wants and how to break them down by amplifying their worst traits. His top three Upper Moons reflect his own faults such as apathy, immaturity, arrogance, greed, and an endless quest for more power.

Muzan treats each of them differently to serve his purposes. He humiliates and belittles Akaza at every opportunity because he knows that he craves guidance and praise. By doing the opposite, he inflicts emotional pain. He continues this harsh treatment until Akaza's final moments, pushing him to persist in a meaningless existence.

With Douma, Muzan exacerbates his emotional stuntedness by being emotionally distant and allowing Douma to stay in toxic environment he grew up in, preventing any personal growth or change.

And lastly, Muzan manipulates Kokushibo's jealousy and greed by tempting him with what he desires most, rather than what he truly needs. This leads Kokushibo down a path of betraying everything that once mattered to him.
