I began to think that Walter would most likely have been quite introverted in his childhood and insecure with children younger and his own age, hiding everything under a false coolness. Typical bad boy ๐

The recent stream by Vanerchest captivated me Grandma Walter (Wallis?โฆ I do not know) she has sunk into my soul so much that I am going to cry now She looks like she has her hair down))

I have a hard time imagining Walter in sportswear, but I think it would look good on him :D
You know, it happens when you get inspired by something so chic, but sometimes you stumble, firstly because of your drawing skill, and secondly, I donโt know if this is a common phenomenon, but I have low self-esteem as an artist and I understand that the idea is bad or I donโt have the strength to just continue. But in the end, at least the sketch remained of this comic
Ahem, sorry for the long digression. In general, the idea was very simple, what do we associate with aristocracy? Social receptions, right. But, I would like to depict who and how they feel at them. Let's say, Vernal would be uncomfortable in a crowd, as would Pip, who is a mercenary and does not care about it. And Seras? I suppose she would often stick close to Alucard and repeat after him that she is an aristocrat from birth. The same with Integra, but she does not like all this, at least because she will have to change her suit for a dress and smoke less. And Walter, like an impenetrable rock, stands and smiles slyly, probably internally tired of preparing for the reception and also watching over the order and the servants.
The situation is standard and banal, and in anime there is less everyday life, but I often find it interesting to think about who would have reacted or done something in this situation ๐ค
Hi my name is Walter C. Dornez and I have long ebony black hair tied with red string that reaches my back and icy grey eyes like limpid tears. Iโm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. Iโm a goth (in case you couldnโt tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing black leather pants with a matching vest, black dress shirt and tie, black fingerless gloves, and silver chains. I was walking outside Hellsing. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.
whoever said that they only watched hellsing for the plot knows damn well they're LYING โผ๏ธ

when i tell y'all my heart always shatters hearing alu's broken sobs during this scene . . . crispin freeman, you did my baby justice. give this man an oscar.
and the way everyone who is witness to his tears looks on in sadness and disbelief, because tears are the very last thing you would expect from him, especially in the moment of an enemy's defeat. not only does alucard mourn anderson because he always held a significant amount of respect, but anderson's choice of turning his back upon humanity + his death was also a symbol of alucard's dream coming to an end. to be defeated by a human hand. he no longer desired to live an eternal regret, and he saw anderson as one of the main gateways for his curse to finally be put to rest.
alucard versus anderson will always be one of the greatest and most complex rivalries in anime history for me, and this clip alone explains why.

so fucking precious. they were the only two people within that room during this moment and no one else mattered. i loved their bond in this scene, and the way he sighs calmly when her fingers wrap around his face โ almost as if he was saying "finally." he's such a charmer with his words, and so incredibly sweet for still finding the beauty in olden flesh, reassuring elizabeth that she had absolutely nothing to worry about regarding her appearance.
same thing could be said about the moment he returns thirty years later, telling integra that he saw nothing wrong with her when her hair was fading gray and her skin crinkling. he most likely felt passionate about her even greater, especially after witnessing her eyepatch, adoring her ability to withstand a life-changing blemish all the while he was absent. ( i always admired how integra took that bullet from major like it was NOTHING. one of the baddest bitches in anime hands down. ) and the moment when he addresses walter, calling him and his new vampiric body ugly and telling him that he looked much better before he committed his betrayal.
this made me create a headcanon that alu always finds the beauty inside of his significant other's insecurities, no matter they be wrinkles, stretch marks, cellulite, acne, love handles, scars, etc. basically all things that society's standards deem hideous as if they aren't natural or humanly. alucard appreciates humanity and its attributes to an extent, so i don't see him being bothered whatsoever over someone else's physical self-doubts or self-hatreds. i imagine him instead taking the time to remove his glove just to gently trace over and feel his partner's stretch marks and/or scars, telling them, "You worry so much over how you look, but to me, my dear, these are the very features that make you who you are, and you dare be ashamed of it," referring to their individuality and uniqueness. this is quite similiar to what he tells the Queen, right? because that is the kind of person he is deep down. he's so respectful and mature when it comes to matters concerning those he cares about.
this is personally why he's my main comfort character as well, because i have my own insecurities ( we all do ) and the fact that he finds beauty in something that many do not, i feel so much better about not only myself, but loving this man in general lmao. he definitely has his own insecurities, being that he views himself as nothing more than a monster, not only because almost all of the enemies he encounters are literally throwing that into his face 24/7, but that he regrets his past decision on becoming one. this also leads me into creating another headcanon where he adores receiving assurance from his partner. telling him occasionally here and there that he's handsome or beautiful in their eyes, though he may refuse to believe it more often than not, would let him know that not everyone cowers in fear at his mere presence and finds him to be this disgusting, rancid beast. he would feel accepted. welcomed, for once.
and that's another thing; he's just such an appreciative character. for example, in ova 10 when he feels himself disappearing after absorbing schrรถdinger, he begins to reminisce his previous death as he looks on and admires the sun โ the sun is a symbolic piece in this entire series to me, because it represents what he turned his back on during his time as a human, officially declaring him a creature of the night. you would think that he ( a vampire ) no longer cares for the sun, and he even claimed to hate it and its light, but towards his final words, he states, "And each time I think . . . how lovely that sunlight, which I forsook so many centuries ago . . ."ย ย which affirms that he still finds beauty in the earth's nature and in life itself despite what he is and what he's been through. that is another example of his humanity prying through his well-believed "monstrosity."
hirano did an absolutely amazing job in fabricating his ambiguity and behaviors. this version of dracula is unlike most of any version's psychology and morals. i could go on and on all day conversing the depths of alu's mindset and his view on humans in particular, but i'll save them for more future discussions!

integra is a woman who will always put needs first before wants. she has also been shown to be the first person of the hellsing bloodline to genuinely care for alucard, so she wouldn't put him through this unless it was absolutely necessary.
choosing to kill his s/o or not kill his s/o, the situation can fit him perfectly either way, but since you happen to love angst, i'm gonna lean more to the side of him killing his partner. plus, it adds onto the fact of alucard's character overall always feeling and being alone in the end, specifically when it comes down to love.
he would want to kill his partner in a fast and painless death, like putting a gun to his partner's head or snapping their neck. while simply drinking and draining his s/o of blood is morbidly beautiful in the morals of a vampire, it seems too slow and sensual for a situation like this.
alucard has disobeyed integra a couple of times if you consider both the original anime and the ova, and in one of them he had no other choice but to. him disobeying her is on very rare occasions, of course, because she would whoop his ass if he did lmao. but with this particular scenario, if he chose to disobey killing his partner, sorrowfully saying something along the lines of "i can't do it. i cannot bring myself to end them." then i can also see integra understanding why he can't. she'd take the matter into her own hands, grabbing a gun and killing them herself, and not angrily either, but while being filled with so much pain from having to take away something beloved from her servant. she would apologize to him as well after a moment of silence to pay respects in regards of their existence, and in regards of what he had to witness.
now, if he chose to obey integra and kill his partner on his own, then i envision him lifting one of his guns to their head with them begging for their life and trying to reason with him through the words "i love you!" over and over. he's rarely ever heard those words in his life and it's killing him on the inside, causing his finger to hesitate on that trigger, but as soon as he hears integra's"now, alucard! that is an order!" then he will look them in the eyes one final time, whispering, "forgive me . . ." right before the gun has been fired. i can also see him dropping to his knees after it hits him what he's done, how he lost what he had, and integra slowly walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder just to give him reassurance that there was someone there. she would give him a break from missions or interactions for a few weeks afterwards in order to let him grieve.
i'm unsure of what the scenario would be to where he would be ordered to kill his love, but if alucard was quick to battle walter without any hesitation when he turned his back on the organization, then it's also safe to say he would follow integra's orders in this situation, too. walter was someone alucard cared for as well, believe it or not. he watched him grow from a child into an old man, and from that, we can only assume that they spent time together and grew close. they probably saw each other as brothers. ( i always used to think they were brothers when i was little lmao )
i think some people really do, at times, underestimate his loyalty to the hellsing organization. his battle with walter, in my opinion, was done to show the audience; it doesn't matter who you are to alucard, whether you be his companion, lover, enemy, etc, if you do anything that puts the organization in turmoil, then he will do anything to put you to rest, especially if it's an order given from integra.

i have two of physical copies out of all of these! i have the 7th one and the one infamously known cover, 12, where alucard is groping integra's breast, which is also my absolute favorite and is also my wallpaper on my desktop lmao.
it's upsetting how rare they are to come across these days. i was lucky enough to find a couple at a local comic shop that was having a closing sale a few years ago! sometimes they show up on japan auctions or on ebay, so if you're quick enough to snag one, congratulations! ๐ฅณ
