i really have questions for Matthew Vaughn and the x men first class
if he didn't really intend to make charles and eric lovers, then he has problems with male friendship. because this movie turned out to be more gay than a fucking brokeback mountain

What's my favourite scene in X-Men First Class? Well, easy, it's the scene where Hank shows up as Beast for the first time in the hangar. Why, you may ask?
Because, after the eternally hilarious exchange that is "never looked better man" "dont mock me" and Hank choking the life out of Erik,
After he puts him down and you can see behind them, we reach my favourite part of this scene:
Alex, who had been 2 seconds away from Actually mocking him, realising that after the bullshit he's been putting him through, Hank would have Genuinely Fucking Killed Him

just re-watched first class and feeling insane about how Erik literally made Charles who he is. Erik was the second mutant Charles ever met (after raven). when Charles says βyouβre not aloneβ heβs saying it as much to himself as he is to Erik. and without Erik, Charles would have went to find other mutants with the CIA and would never have taken such a caring protective role with them. Erik showed him the need to build a safe sanctuary for mutants and care for those who felt so alone and unloved.
