Spots On!

YOU GAVE BEOMGYU A LOT OF SHIT, but deep, deep down, you were very grateful the two of you were friends. If it wasn’t for him, you would probably be at home, crying and watching some drama while wondering what Yeonjun was doing at the stupid party. Talking to girls prettier than you? Kissing girls prettier than you? You couldn’t even imagine it.

You were going to talk to him tonight, you really were! Even if you had to force Beomgyu to help you find an opportunity to talk to him, it was going to happen, even if it was the death of you! Which, it probably would be. In past attempts to talk to him, you noticed you always seemed to freeze up, and your mouth would go dry and you wouldn’t be able to get even a word in.

Not this time, though! Things were going to be different! After your brief interaction with him on Twitter, you were growing more and more confident that Yeonjun didn’t hate you and wasn’t going to spit in your face if you spoke to him. Though, you felt a bit silly for ever thinking anything like that was possible in the first place, since for as long as you had known Yeonjun, he had always been one of the nicest people. That was part of the reason you liked him in the first place, wasn’t it?

The party was exciting for more reasons than just Yeonjun being there, though. As a second year college student, and a superhero, you hadn’t had much time to have any kind of fun. You were very much looking forward to a night out with your friends--Yeonjun just so happening to be there was just an added bonus. You just hoped that nobody would get akumatized while you were there, and force you to leave early. That would really suck, right?

About fifteen minutes later than you had been expecting, you heard a loud thud outside your apartment, and peered out the window to see a familiar beat up van parked along the curb. The fender was barely holding on by a thread, the thread being Bulbasaur themed duct tape. With an annoyed groan, you grabbed your jacket and fled your home to go greet your friends.

“I swear to god, Hee, if you don’t start leaving earlier so your dumbass van doesn’t make us late, I’m going to throw a brick at your head.” You grunted as you threw the van door open, hissing when you caught a whiff of the smell inside. It was truly a travesty that you and all your friends were broke college students, otherwise you wouldn’t be stuck with Heeseung’s minivan that had been passed down through his family for over a decade.

“Hey, not too much on Dongshik!” Your friend snapped at you from the driver's seat, while you used your jacket to sweep off old McDonald’s wrappers onto the floor that had been in there for lord knows how long. “If it weren’t for ol’ Dong, you wouldn’t even have a ride to this party, so show some respect!”

“Fine. Sorry, Dongshik.” You rolled your eyes, finally sitting down next to Sieun in the back. “Hey, Sieunnie!” You greeted your friend, giving her a small wave.

“Y/N! You look so cute!” She grinned at you, gesturing to the outfit you had definitely not spent two hours digging through your closet and having a breakdown on your floor to put together.

“Haha, really? It’s just a little something I threw together.” You lied.

“You look like you tripped and fell into a chicken coop.” Beomgyu finally acknowledged you, probably referencing the feathers that lined the hems of your cardigan.

You took back anything nice you had previously said about Beomgyu. You hated him and wanted to watch him burn. “Shut up, Beomgyu. Are we going to pick up Jeongin?” You changed the subject, diverting your attention to Heeseung, who was currently trying to get Dongshik to start up, which was always very difficult after it idled for too long.

“Thankfully, no. He is catching a ride with some of his other friends, so we don’t have to worry about taking another hour to get to the damn party!” He began shouting out of frustration, smacking the steering wheel as if it would make the van go any faster.

You rested your head against the seat’s headrest and turned to look out the window, the reminder that you were actually about to go to a party and see your crush hitting you and setting your nerves ablaze once again. The last time you had seen Yeonjun was when you were eating lunch with your friends and he stopped by, and you--of course--had barely managed to get out a single hi!

This time was going to be different, though! You had all week to prepare yourself for seeing and talking to him, so things were going to go well. You really didn’t have anything to worry about.

Right?

Spots On!

YOU HAD NO IDEA WHO MARK LEE WAS, but he really knew how to throw a party. After what should have been a ten minute drive that turned into a half an hour, you and your friends had finally made it to SMU campus. Due to the size of the party, you had to park about a block away from the house, and Heeseung, of course, had nearly given you whiplash when he pulled up against the curb. You wished he had given you whiplash, so you could have sued him for your medical bills and paid off your student loans.

There were tons of young adults hanging around outside the house, a few were throwing up in the grass and a few were making out with one another, and a few were passed out on the ground. You thought if there was going to be a place where someone got pissed off and got taken advantage of by Hawk Moth, it was going to be here. The thought made your fingers subconsciously jump to your ears, checking that your earrings that gave you your superhero abilities were still there. You were relieved to feel them.

“You okay?” Sieun asked, tilting her head at you as she watched you. Sieun was the only one of your friends who knew about your secret identity, and probably the only one who would ever find out. The thought of Jeongin, Heeseung, or Beomgyu finding out that you were Ladybug was terrifying. Even telling Sieun had been scary enough, but around the time of your freshman year, things had become too difficult for you to keep the burden of your secret to just yourself.

“Hm? I’m fine.” You gave her a small smile, allowing your hands to fall back to your side. “I was just hoping that tonight goes smoothly, and I won’t have anything
You know, superhero-y to worry about.” You lowered your voice, lingering a bit back from Heeseung and Beomgyu so they wouldn’t hear you.

Sieun nodded, averting her gaze over to the house you were about to enter. “Well, worrying about that is just going to create the exact negative energy that would lead to that, right?” She asked you, and you nodded slowly. “So let’s not worry about it! Let’s just try to have fun! You are going to talk to Yeonjun and he is going to immediately fall in love with you and you are going to get married and adopt a cat together, right?”

She nudged you, and you couldn’t fight the grin that crept onto your lips.”You really shouldn’t feed my delusions, you know.”

“Hey! Who said it's a delusion? It could really happen!”

“What could really happen?” A voice asked from behind you, and you nearly leapt out of your skin. You spun around to see it was just Jeongin, and let out a sigh of relief.

“Baby Bread!” You and Sieun exclaimed in unison, and threw your arms around your friend. He groaned under your hug, trying to push you off, but Heeseung and Beomgyu must have heard the commotion and came over to join in on the group hug.

“Help me! I don’t know these people! They’re freaks!” Jeongin yelled, trying to catch the attention of anyone walking by, but was completely ignored.

“Aww, our little Baby Bread. We missed you so much!” Heeseung cooed, reaching up to ruffle his friend’s hair. And, unfortunately his arms were pinned to his side by the hug, and he couldn’t defend himself.

“You were literally at my campus hotboxing in your stupid van yesterday!” Jeongin snapped, and you rolled your eyes. Well, that explained the smell, at least.

Finally, you all stepped away from Jeongin, allowing him a chance to catch his breath since you had all nearly suffocated him. “You know, you can hug me without crushing my ribs.” He huffed.

“Mmm, I don’t think that’s true.” Sieun retorted, earning a very unthreatening glare from Jeongin. You were growing anxious the longer you and your friends hung around outside, your eyes flickering to the door over and over again as you thought of Yeonjun inside. The longer you spent out there, the higher the risk of him making out with some random girl became.

“Hey, I’m thirsty, let’s go in.” You whined.

Beomgyu gave you a deadpan look. “Yeah, thirsty for Yeonjun.” He snorted, and you smacked his arm as hard as you could. “Jesus! What the fuck?! When did you get so fucking strong?” You stuck your tongue out at him, then began to walk towards the house entrance with your friends following close behind.

Inside smelled even worse than the inside of Heeseung’s van. As soon as you stepped in, some guy ran past the front door and nearly spilled a cup of beer all over you, had you not managed to back up just in time. You quickly clung onto Sieun once she was inside of the house, grabbing ahold of her arm and hugging tightly.

You felt silly--a girl who had fought many monsters and horrible supervillains before, petrified by a college party. You were starting to regret even showing up, but then you were reminded of why you had decided to suffer through such a stupid party.

There he was, coming out of what looked like a kitchen, practically glowing under the dimmed lights of the party like some kind of angel. With his long, dark hair tousled, and his white dress shirt opened a few buttons, and his sleeves rolled up, was Choi Yeonjun, in all his glory, and not attached at the lips to some random girl. A wave of relief and affirmation washed over you, and you had half a mind to cry and thank Beomgyu over and over right then and there.

But, then you realized something horrible. He was walking, and he was walking straight over in your direction. You looked over at Sieun with panicked eyes, your heart rate increasing tenfold. Yes, the two things that could stop the Ladybug dead in her tracks: a college party, and Choi Yeonjun.

“Look, Y/N! It’s your boyfriend~!” Heeseung sang in a low voice, and you fought the urge to elbow him in his stupid face.

Before you could come up with some kind of plan to talk to him, he was a foot away from you, and you had no more time. “Hey, YJ, what’s up?” Beomgyu asked him, holding up a hand for him to high five, but Yeonjun ignored him, instead letting out an annoyed groan.

“My stupid dad just called me, he’s like, freaking out.” Yeonjun explained, and just the sound of his voice so close to you caused your cheeks to light ablaze. “He’s demanding I go home right now.”

You were too distracted by his proximity, you barely processed his words. “Dude, what the fuck? Just tell him no! You’re a grown man, you’re allowed to go to a party with your friends!” Beomgyu argued back, but Yeonjun just shook his head.

“I really want to, but he’s already pissed, and I don’t want to make things worse. You know how he gets.” He huffed, reaching up to run a hand through his hair. The sight caused you to suck in a breath, and you abruptly choked on your own saliva and started to cough incessantly.

You wanted to die, as you raised your arm and began to cough loudly, and even worse was the fact that you nearly dying because of your own spit was what caused him to finally notice you standing there. If it wasn’t for your bodily instincts taking over and causing you to cough, you would have rather let yourself choke on your own saliva and died right there.

His eyes met your own, and you really wished it was under different circumstances, because you had literally dreamed about gazing into his eyes. Although he wasn’t looking at you like you were the most precious thing in the world, like he did in most of your dreams. No, he was looking at you like he was concerned you were going to literally hack up a lung or something. Jeongin gave your back a harsh smack, and you finally stopped coughing.

“You really can’t stay for like, ten more minutes? I just got here, dude, I haven’t even gotten to see Party Yeonjun.” Beomgyu pouted, diverting Yeonjun’s attention away from you.

“I’m sorry, man. Maybe next time?” Yeonjun said hopefully, and then it finally hit you that he was leaving. The entire reason you had showed up to this stupid party in the first place was leaving!

“Yeah, whatever. Good luck with your dad.” Beomgyu sighed, clasping his hand together with Yeonjun’s then pulling him close and patting his   back. “See you later.”

“Yeah, see you guys later.” Yeonjun gave a weak smile, glancing over at you one last time.

Oh, no! He was leaving! You had to say something! Anything! You had sworn before showing up that you would talk to him!

Without thinking, just as he was about to push his way through your group of friends and leave the party, you chose to shout--

“Hi, Yeonjun!”

You wanted to die.

He stopped, and turned to glance at you with furrowed eyebrows. Maybe Beomgyu was right. You felt your stomach rumble as his eyes met your own, and for a second you thought you might actually throw up on him. Oh, this was bad, this was so bad, how could you be so stupid?! You regretted every single thing that had led you to this moment, all the way back to the first time Beomgyu had introduced you to Yeonjun.

“Um, hi, Y/N
” He spoke slowly, and you watched in shock as he raised his hand and gave you a small wave. “Bye, Y/N.”

You stood, completely dumbfounded, and watched as he disappeared out of the house. Everyone turned to look at you in silence, and you could practically feel their laughter starting to bubble in their throats. You couldn’t believe yourself. You had finally managed to speak up to him, and you had said something so incredibly, horribly stupid, and he would probably think you were a freak forever.

Beomgyu was the first to speak, his voice wavering as he tried to hold in a laugh. “Y/N, that was
”

“Fucking awful!” Heeseung finished for him, the annoying laughter bursting out of him. You couldn’t even defend yourself as the three guys began to cackle loudly like a pack of hyenas, instead standing there in silence while Sieun rubbed your arm in an attempt to cheer you up.

“He probably just thought you were being funny! It wasn’t that bad!” She tried to assure you, but the tone of her voice wasn’t very convincing.

“I think
I think I’m going to go get a drink.” You said with a defeated sigh, which made Sieun frown.

“Are you sure? I thought you weren’t going to drink tonight
You know, keeping your guard up or whatever
” She mumbled the last part, and flicked her eyebrows up. You knew exactly what she was talking about. Normally, you didn’t like to drink at parties, just because you never knew when your Ladybug duties would call and you did not want to be drunk fighting a supervillain.

“Just one.” You assured her, and gave her a weak smile. “If I don’t get at least some alcohol in my system, I might have to die, because that was the worst thing I’ve ever done.” You gave her a thumbs up.

As you began to walk away, you heard Heeseung, Jeongin and Beomgyu continue to howl with laughter, and then you heard their howls turn into those of pain as Sieun started attacking and yelling at them for bullying you. A part of you also wanted to beat them up, but you also couldn’t blame them. If it were any one of them who had done that, you would probably have the same reaction.

You pushed your way into the kitchen you had seen Yeonjun exiting earlier, praying that you would find something to drink in there. Luckily, there were some drinks out for the taking, but unluckily, there was also Yeonjun’s best friend, Choi Soobin.

“Y/N I’m surprised to see you!” He greeted you with a wide smile, the all too familiar dimple appearing in his cheek. “Yeonjun just left. I’m so sorry.”

You rolled your eyes at him, picking out an unopened can of beer and leaning back against the counter. Soobin had caught onto your crush very early, although you weren’t sure how, since you were always so subtle about it. You figured he was just really smart or something. “Don’t worry. I already saw him. And said something stupid.” You replied glumly, snapping back the top of your can and bringing it to your lips.

“Hey, that means you at least talked to him at all, right?” He asked you, nudging your arm with his elbow. “You know, you should try to talk to him more. He thinks you hate him.”

You nearly choked on your drink. Thank god you didn’t, because you did not want to choke for a second time that night. “He thinks I hate him?! Why would he think that?! What did Beomgyu say to him?!”

“Nothing, nothing, he’s just a dumbass who can’t figure out why you avoid him and assumes it’s because you hate him.” He shrugged in response, which made you frown.

He thought you hated him? You didn’t want that! How was he ever supposed to fall in love with you if he thought you hated him?! Soobin was probably right, and you just needed to start talking to him more often, but how were you supposed to do that if you were barely able to breathe around him? It was an impossible situation! Or maybe you were just dramatic.

“Maybe I should just fake my death and leave a letter professing my love. Then, he at least will know I didn’t hate him, but then I don’t have to stay around and see his reaction.” You mumbled, which made Soobin let out a giggle from beside you. Never had you heard Soobin giggle before, though that wasn’t very surprising, since you didn’t see him much outside of your classes. “Dude, are you drunk already?”

“Just a little.” He pinched his fingers together, and now it was your turn to giggle at him.

“Yo-o-o, Soobin!” There was a loud shout, and you turned to see that some blue haired man you had never seen before had entered the kitchen. His eyes quickly found your own, and a grin spread across his face. “You didn’t tell me you brought a girl. Who’s this?”

Soobin quickly shook his head, scooting away from you. “I didn’t bring her. She’s one of Beomgyu’s friends.” He informed the guy, who was still eyeing you with a soft grin. “Y/N, this is Mark. Mark, this is Y/N.”

Ohhhh. So that was Mark. He wasn’t quite what you’d imagined him to look like, then again, you weren’t sure what you had been imagining. He was cute, though, with his icy blue hair and dumb smile that reminded you of a golden retriever. Not as cute as Yeonjun, though!, you thought. Still, you gave him a small wave.

“Nice to meet you Y/N.” He replied, returning your wave. “Yo, that beer is kind of ass, you want me to grab you something better--?”

“Y/N!” For what felt like the one millionth time, your conversation was interrupted, and this time it was by Jeongin flying into the room to duck behind the counter. “You have to help me! I think Sieun is trying to murder me!” He yelped. You glanced back down at him, and then over at Mark, who was watching the exchange with an amused smile.

You gave him an apologetic look, before returning your attention to Jeongin. “Why is she trying to kill you?”

“I, um, may have, um, called her
 Short
” He whispered.

“Damn. That’ll do it.” Soobin spoke up. “Goodbye, Beomgyu’s friend. It was nice knowing you.” He tilted his can at Jeongin, who let out a long whine.

“Y/N, please! You have to help me!” He was practically begging, reaching up to grab ahold of your hands, and giving you those big puppy dog eyes that reminded you of the tapioca pearls you’d find at the bottom of your boba tea. You really didn’t want to deal with your friends and their childish antics, but you also knew Jeongin wasn’t going to let up until you helped him.

“Personally, I think I should let her kill you, because you know not to say that
” You started, and his bottom lip started to tremble. “...but fine. I will help you. Let’s go.”

He jumped up, a cute grin spreading across his face. “Thank you, Y/N! Sorry for laughing at you for embarrassing yourself in front of Yeonjun!”

Your face burned at the reminder, and you chose not to respond, instead shooing him out of the kitchen. “Um, it was nice to meet you, Mark! And I’ll see you next week, Soobin!” You gave them both small nods as a goodbye, and were about to follow Jeongin out into the party before you were stopped.

You glanced over to see that it was Mark who had tapped your shoulder, and was now awkwardly rubbing his neck. “Wait, um, if it’s not too weird, before you go
” He paused, and looked up to meet your eyes.

“Can I get your number?”

Spots On!

THE SECOND YOUR DOOR CLOSED, the same sadness you hadn’t been able to get rid of all day returned and rammed into you like a truck. It was easier when your friends were there with you, to keep you company and distract you from everything, but the moment they were gone, you were left alone to deal with the sick feeling in your stomach.

You knew you sounded ridiculous. Getting this upset over a guy you’d hardly even spoken to in the last few years, over a guy you’d only ever pined over from afar, it was all very crazy sounding. But, that was just looking at your relationship with Yeonjun from a surface level. If you looked at it on a deeper level, your sadness that may have looked childish before might start to make more sense.

It’s funny, really. When you first met Yeonjun, when Beomgyu first introduced you to his older, richer friend, you were not a fan of him. The first day you’d met him, the first thing he said was, “Sorry I’m late, fencing classes ran longer than I thought!”, and that was enough to convince you that Choi Yeonjun was nothing more than a shallow, spoiled daddy’s boy. That was the day you learned not to judge a book by its cover.

You didn’t see him that often, but every time you did, you slowly started to see that there was more to Choi Yeonjun than meets the eye. He was nice, like, really nice. The kind of nice that made you think maybe men weren’t completely doomed. He was also really funny, and one of the only people in your group of friends besides Beomgyu that could make your stomach hurt from laughing. The thing you started to like most about Yeonjun, though, was how much he cared for those around him.

Most people wouldn’t have noticed unless they looked hard enough, but you definitely noticed. In an offhand comment, Beomgyu mentioned how he’d always wanted a Tamagotchi when he was younger, and seven months later, Yeonjun gave him one for his birthday. When Soobin would start rambling on about whatever anime he was watching as of late, Yeonjun would pretend to be annoyed by the subject, but he still listened nonetheless. Yeonjun was, overall, a good guy.

Your crush didn’t start, however, until your senior year of high school.

Graduation was quickly approaching, and as the year was coming to an end, so was your time in band. Playing the flute was a random little thing you had picked up in middle school, and followed through into your high school years. Even though you never had any plans of pursuing it, the fact that it was all coming to an end was very bittersweet.

So, there you were, at your final recital where you would say goodbye to band forever. You, Beomgyu and Jeongin were hiding behind the stage’s curtains and poking your heads out to get a good look at your audience. Sieun and Heeseung were there, which was unsurprising but sweet nonetheless. Beomgyu’s brother had shown up, and a few of Jeongin’s other friends, but none of that was surprising.

What was surprising was the fact that Choi Yeonjun was there. Choi Yeonjun, who had graduated a few years prior, and definitely had a million things going on had made the time to come to your recital. You weren’t sure why your face grew hot when Beomgyu pointed him out in the audience, and even though he was all the way in the back with Soobin, you were still able to make out his face in the darkness.

Once the performance was over, you, Jeongin and Beomgyu practically ran off the stage and into the hallway where you could greet everyone who came to see you. Sieun must have read your mind, racing ahead of all of the rest of the audience and wrapping you into a hug with so much force you nearly fell over onto the hallway floor. Heeseung wasn’t far behind, reluctantly complimenting you and surprisingly he didn’t fight you when you gave him a hug to say thank you.

Your crush on Choi Yeonjun started when you pulled away from the hug and saw him standing a few feet away with a great big bouquet and a warm smile etched into his lips. Once you’d finished catching up with your friends and trying not to melt under the swarm of compliments, it was finally time for you to address the elephant in the room. You found yourself shy around him, waiting patiently for him to approach you, because how embarrassing would it be if you found out the flowers weren’t for you.

“Hi.” He greeted you with a soft smile, appearing in front of you.

Heat erupted in your face. “Hi
” You said slowly.

“Um, here, these are for you.” He held the bouquet out towards you, and you could feel your eyes grow the size of saucers.

“For me? Why?” You asked him, and hesitantly took the flowers from him.

He shrugged. “I just thought, you know
It’s your last performance, and that means you deserve to have some flowers, right?” He gave you that cute, cheesy grin that he always wore, only this time you felt your stomach flip at the sight. “You did really good, by the way.” It was in that moment, when you raised the flowers to your nose to give them a sniff, and your gaze met his own, that you realized you were in trouble.

Of course, the moment was ruined by Beomgyu butting his way in and demanding to know why he didn’t get any flowers, and started to argue with the older boy. But, you clung onto those flowers for the rest of the night, even when you took the picture that sat on your entertainment center now.

The second your door shut, leaving you all alone, you immediately found your gaze snapping to the picture. You had so many regrets. You regretted clamming up after that day, and freaking out whenever he was around. You regretted your disdain you once held for him, because maybe you would have realized your feelings sooner if it weren’t for it. You mostly regretted never telling him how you felt. Even if he didn’t return your feelings, and you just ended up looking like an idiot, at least you could have said he knew.

But, it was too late for that now, wasn’t it? He had a girlfriend. A rich, beautiful girlfriend. Why would he leave a girl like that for a girl like you? Maybe
 Just maybe
This was a sign for you to move on. That was crazy, right? In what world were you ready to move on from the crush that had consumed you for the last several years. You figured you needed a few weeks at least to wallow in your own self pity before you could even think of anyone else.

Or maybe you just needed a distraction.

As if on cue, you felt your phone buzz in your back pocket. With your brows pulled tightly together, you dug into your jeans and raised your phone, and your mouth fell open when you saw the caller ID. For some reason, as though he could read your mind, Mark Lee was calling you. Why on Earth was he calling you?! You had completely forgotten to respond to his message and basically ghosted him, you figured most guys would have given up by now.

But, it turned out Mark Lee was nothing if not persistent.

You were unsure if you should answer, at first, staring at the phone with wide eyes. Did you really want to talk to him right now? You were supposed to be wallowing! But, there was also that overwhelming sense of loneliness that was currently consuming you, and the thought that it might be nice to not be alone had crossed your mind. But, the phone was still ringing, and soon the call would drop, which meant you had to make up your mind. So, without thinking, you swiped your thumb across the screen and held the phone up to your ear.

“...uh, hello?” You answered the phone with uncertainty, crossing your arm across your stomach.

“Oh! You actually answered! Hyuck kept telling me you wouldn’t, but I told him you would! Yo, now he owes me five dollars. Uh, anyway! This really isn't a great way to start a phone call, is it?” He rambled on the other line, and you couldn’t help the small giggle that escaped your throat as you listened to him.

“No, not really. But--”

“I knew it! I’m sorry, let me start over.” He cleared his throat, and you raised your eyebrows in anticipation. “Yo, it’s Mark. What’s up?” He asked in what you assumed was the coolest tone he could muster up.

You bit back your laughter. “Uh, hi, Mark. Not much, my friends just left. So now I’m just standing here.” You answered back, and you heard him sigh on the other line--probably out of relief that you’d chosen not to ridicule him. A part of you had a feeling he got made fun of a lot.

“Cool, cool
Uh, you’re probably wondering why I’m calling, right?”

You nodded, although he couldn’t see it. “Just a little bit.”

“Well, I hope I’m not, like, totally overstepping here, but I saw your Tweet, and you sounded sad, so I thought I’d try to cheer you up.”

Your lips grew into a smile. You couldn’t believe it. You’d basically ghosted him since the party, and yet he still paid enough attention to notice you were upset, and cared about you enough to call you. Maybe Heeseung was an idiot--well, not maybe, you knew he was an idiot--but more importantly maybe he was wrong. Maybe a guy like Mark was exactly what you needed at that moment.

“Oh. Really?” You asked quietly, thankful nobody was in your apartment to see the blush creeping onto your cheeks. “Do you stalk my Twitter or something?” You teased him.

“What? N-No! It just popped up on my timeline! I swear, I don’t stalk you!” He once again began to ramble, and somehow it helped to ease your crazed nerves. You were laughing softly once again, and he froze mid sentence. “Oh. You were joking.”

“I was joking.” You replied matter of factly. “It’s sweet, really. Thank you. I’m glad you called, otherwise I would have probably been at the bottom of a tub of Chunky Monkey by now.” You mumbled, glancing over at your freezer where the ice cream Sieun and Jeongin had brought was waiting for you.

“Damn, that bad, huh?” He asked.

“Yes, that bad.” You echoed. “You know, I--”

There was a knock on your window, and you threw your phone onto the floor with a yelp. The sudden sound had startled you so bad, for a second you thought you’d had a heart attack right then and there. But, after a few moments of heavy breathing with your hand pressed against your chest, you realized you were fine. Especially when you realized there was only one person in the whole world that would be at your window.

A pair of glowing green eyes stared back at you as you slowly bent down to pick up your phone, then delicately held it up against your ear. “--you okay?!” You heard Mark freaking out on the other line, which you assumed meant he heard you scream.

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine. Hey, can I call you back? I have to check on something.” You muttered, keeping your eyes trained on the window.

“Oh, sure. I gotta ask, you’re not going to ghost me again, right?” He asked, but you barely heard him due to how distracted you were.

“Hm? Oh, yeah, definitely not. I’ll call you later, I swear it.” You told him quickly, trying your hardest to end the call smoothly.

“Okay, okay, cool. Talk to you later, Y/N.”

“Yep, bye!” Without giving him a chance to keep you on the line any longer, you ended the call, tossed your phone onto your couch and rushed over to the window. You practically threw your sliding door open. “What the hell are you doing here?!”

“Well hello to you too, kitten.” Chat Noir cooed at you, reaching up to poke your nose. You swatted his hand away.

“Don’t call me that.” You grumbled. “So, what? You’re going to talk to me again?”

He grinned down at you, like he found your anger amusing. “Aww, did you miss me? Sorry, love, I got busy. Are you going to let me in?”

You narrowed your eyes. “You still haven’t told me why you’re here.”

“Oh, right! That!” He laughed nervously. “I thought we could get that last measurement. And--!” You hadn’t noticed before, but he was holding a grocery bag, which he dug into to pull out a small red container. “Look what I found! Kit Kat ice cream! I figured we could share it, and watch a movie, and spill all of our deepest darkest secrets to each other~!”

You blinked at the gift. First, you had Mark Lee fawning over you, and now here was the Chat Noir, fawning over you as well--not Ladybug you, but you you. Still, neither of them were the one you wanted most to give you some attention.

“Hm. I’m down for the measurements and ice cream parts. I’ll pass on the rest.” You smiled at him, taking the container from his hands and turning back to your apartment. He was hot on your heels, gently closing the door behind him.

“Are you sure? You know, lots of people would die for that offer.” He told you matter of factly.

You set the ice cream down on your counter, raising an eyebrow at him. “Oh, really? Would they?”

He nodded, leaning across the counter from you. “Mhm. They would be like, ‘oh, Chat Noir! I thought you would never ask! Now let’s kiss and get married forever!’”

“You should go ask one of them, then.” You responded, opening up a drawer to pull out two spoons.

“But I don't want to watch a movie with them! I want to watch one with you!” He whined, and although it was incredibly childish and off putting, it still caused heat to rise in your cheeks.

“Why?” You asked lowly, avoiding his gaze as you slid a spoon across the counter to him.

He went quiet, watching you as you dipped your own spoon into the ice cream and brought it to your lips. “I don’t know. I just like spending time with you, I guess.” He said, and you noticed his usual playful tone was gone.

“No offense, kitten, but you barely know me.” You laughed, gently nudging the ice cream towards him.

“But that’s the whole point, Y/N! I want to!”

Oh, god. Had Jeongin and Sieun been right all along? Was that the reason he freaked out and left before? What were the odds that you’d rejected him as Ladybug, and he chose Y/N to redirect his feelings to? You should have been really annoyed, you should have hated the idea of him crushing on you once again, but you didn’t.

You let out a soft sigh, drumming your fingers against the countertop as you tried to form some sort of response. You could feel his eyes trained on you, observing you as he patiently waited for you to say something.

“Okay. Fine. Let’s watch a movie.”

sleepy spring mornings featuring choi yeonjun

Sleepy Spring Mornings Featuring Choi Yeonjun
Sleepy Spring Mornings Featuring Choi Yeonjun
Sleepy Spring Mornings Featuring Choi Yeonjun

hot.

was the only thought going through your still half-asleep brain as you struggled to blink open your eyes.

it’s so fucking hot.

once you were kinda awake, with open blinking eyes you regarded what the hell was making you so hot. bright washington sun crept through the curtains, sweeping the tranquil hotel room in a beautiful light.

looking to your right, you found the heat source, the culprit.

choi yeonjun, your boyfriend, sleeping ever so peacefully nuzzled into your side, brown hair messy and tussled with sleep, his arm thrown lazily over your stomach, keeping you close to him and his goddamn furnace of a body, his leg draped and entangled with yours under the sheets.

looking at him, seeing his breath rise and fall softly, the pout that seemed to always be on his lips jutting out, you couldn’t help but smile.

it was rare to see him like this, be with him like this, and instead of running away from his heat you brought him closer, wrapping your arms around him as he nuzzled closer to you, burying his face into your neck, his soft breath tickling you.

you brought your hand up to his messy head, smoothing the brown down and running your fingers through it, scratching his head lightly. he exhaled happily and, still seeming to be asleep, moved a little bit so you could see his face.

you felt like the grinch seeing him like this, your heart growing 3 sizes bigger at the sight of yeonjun.

you watched him breathe in and out, softly tracing his perfectly shaped face with your finger. across his brow bone, down his perfect sloped nose, softly grazing his cute little cupids bow, tapping his perfect pout ever so softly.

maybe it was the early morning making you feel your emotions even more so, but seeing him sleeping peacefully, cuddled up to you, lit up by the morning sun, you felt as if you might cry.

dating yeonjun wasn’t the easiest thing all the time, his schedule insanely demanding, your college classes challenging, and sometimes it was hard to just get a 15 minute facetime call these days. which is why you jumped at the opportunity to go with him on tour, seeing him on stage with his members, in what was his happiest element, made you happy even more so.

you were suddenly brought out of your thoughts with a sigh and a stir, yeonjun seeming to be waking up next to you.

cute.

was the only word that could fit this situation. you’d seen it before, sparingly, but yeonjun waking up was the cutest goddamn thing you think you’ve ever seen in your life. a small frown on his face, hair messy but somehow still perfect, eyes still closed, nose scrunched up, the pout on his lips jutting out even more so that you felt the intense urge to kiss it.

you leaned into him, feeling his breath on yours, and placed the smallest, sweetest ghost of a kiss on his perfectly parted lips.

you pulled back, hand still in his hair, smile on your face. looking at him in this light it was insane how someone so perfect could just be walking around on this earth, even more insane that you got to be with him like this and share these moments with him.

“whyd youstop,” a small, deep mumble fell out of yeonjuns perfect lips and into the room.

you scratched his head lightly again, seeing his eyes were still closed, ignoring the fact that his morning voice was somehow deeper than how he normally sounded and it was driving you crazy.

you giggled at him, his little glare on his face over the fact that you simply didn’t kiss him longer.

“i like when you kiss me,” he mumbled again, you caught sight of his ears turning a little red and he buried himself into your neck again out of embarrassment.

you laughed then, a soft real laugh, pulling him even closer to you, wanting to feel his warmth now.

“oh my god you’re literally the cutest person alive, did you know that?” you gushed over him.

you could feel his face growing hotter with the praise and he shook his head, “nuh uh, it’s you.”

you laughed again, “oh my god you’re such a baby.”

yeonjun, finally seeming fully awake, lifted his head at that, pulling his body weight and resting on one of his arms so he wasn’t on top of you anymore, rather, laying on his side regarding you.

you suddenly felt hot again, not from the temperature. it was still crazy to you how yeonjun could go from being the cutest thing alive to staring at you like he was literally going to eat you.

yeonjun smirked, he always thought it was funny how he still made you nervous.

he decided he was done teasing you and suddenly wrapped his arms around you, rolling onto his back and laying you on top of him.

“did you sleep okay?” he asked, his voice soft with adoration but still octaves deep with sleep.

you nodded, feeling shy under his gaze, which he noticed and made him smile up at you, “the only thing is that you’re a fucking furnace, choi,” you pretended to be mad, “i feel like i’m gonna wake up sweating because you’re so hot.”

he laughed, a gorgeous, loud laugh that made butterflies settle in your stomach, and wiggled his eyebrows, “i know, right.”

you rolled your eyes, “you’re stupid.”

he grinned, his eyes practically disappearing with his giant smile, and whispered, “you love it.”

he moved his head forward and captured your lips with his, you practically melting into the soft kiss.

kissing yeonjun always had your head spinning, his lips always warm against yours, making you feel safe and making the butterflies in your stomach go crazy.

yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun. yeonjun.

he pulled away, admiring that spaced-out look you always got when he kissed you, no matter if it was soft and sweet like this one or rough and full of want.

he pulled you closer to his chest, your head laying on top of his heart, listening to the beating.

you both stayed like that in contentment for who knows how long, yeonjun breaking the silence with a small whisper, “i like having you here, like this, with me.”

you smiled on his chest, listening to the soft thump thumping of his heart, “i like seeing you like this, and being here with you.”

yeonjun pressed a lingering kiss to your forehead, your eyes closing automatically and you hummed in response. the both of you finally sitting up and yeonjun grabbing his horn-rimmed glasses from the side table, placing them just on his nose, making him look somehow even more attractive, which you didn’t even know was possible.

he captured your eye contact, holding your hand, his thumb dancing over your skin, “i love you,” he said softly, a big dumb smile on his face.

a big dumb matching one on yours, “i love you, junnie. even if you feel like lava when you sleep.”

he rolled his eyes at that and released you, getting out of the warmth that was your shared bed and standing in front of you opening his phone.

you took the opportunity to ogle him, as any sane person would.

a shirtless yeonjun was a beautiful one, like yeonjun was all the time, but there was something else about him like this, grey sweatshorts (whore) riding low on his hips, honey-colored skin exposed and kissed by sunlight, making him glow, glasses perched on his nose, brown hair the most perfectly messy thing atop his head.

yeonjun didn’t look up, but felt your stare, smirking, “see something you like?”

you blushed, “no.”

he scoffed, shaking his head, “okay liar.”

you giggled, finally taking the opportunity to stretch when there was a soft knock at the door. both of you knowing it was probably staff (or beomgyu coming to bother).

yeonjun grabbed a navy blue botton up shirt and haphazardly pulled it over him, sadly coving up his golden skin, as he padded softly over to the door.

soft words were exchanged and the door closed and he turned with two starbucks cups, smiling at you,

“oh my god, yes,” you said, making grabby hands towards the cups which made yeonjun smile as he walked back over to you, stopping to grab his ipad from the bedside table.

he gave you your drink, the caffeine comforting you after just one sip as he settled back into the bed next to you.

he opened his ipad and pulled up youtube, looking for something to watch. when he made his pick, he rested it on his legs, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and bringing you close.

you rested your head on yeonjuns shoulder, holding your drink and smiling softly.

you looked up at him again, admiring his perfect side profile, and gave him a small kiss on his cheek, making him turn to face you, smile on his lips.

“what was that for?”

you shrugged, “just because.”

he grinned, glasses pushing up on his nose, and kissed your forehead again, all while snuggling you closer against him.

as the sun got brighter in the room, it danced over the white comforter, and lit up yeonjuns hands and coffee cup. it was warm and perfect, just like yeonjun himself.

yea user yawnzzn killed me today so i had to write about it this was not supposed to be this long & it is unedited i just needed to word vomit about him because OH MY GOD!!!

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

you’ve been managing yeonjun flawlessly for a few good years now, but there are just some things you can’t keep under control. the obvious solution? a blind date that skews towards the unexpected.

pairing: solo idol!yeonjun x reader rating: T genre: romance warnings: none! like the narrative has a swear word like idk once? word count: 3.5k

author’s notes: yeah it’s not actually valentine’s day but we write for a completely new fandom because we simply have no restraint !! just kidding, i’ve actually been hoping to extend my writing for other groups, but i haven’t yet because i’m extremely slow and a bit fickle. this is my first time writing for anything txt, but i hope to do so a bit more in the future!

if you like it, please consider reblogging to help spread the word!

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

Maybe your mom was right. Maybe the entertainment industry just isn’t for you.

She’d actively warned you against dedicating your time to, well, anything involving the glitz and glam, but you just hadn’t listened. There had been good opportunities, great experiences you’d never get anywhere else. For the most part, your choices had helped that expectation become that reality; you’d met people not just anyone got to meet, and you’d definitely had a substantial amount of unique encounters.

Still, you were aware that the only reason you’d ever gotten the chance to taste a little bit of the high life was because you had Yeonjun on your side. Choi Yeonjun — the rising star of the idol world, with a better career trajectory than the guy who owned Apple, it seemed. His job was the access pass to everything you enjoyed. Unfortunately, your ticket to all the good things was also the key to your prolonged misery.

As his manager, you have a ton of roles to play — logistics coordinator, scheduler, alarm clock, wardrobe checker, and, on one unfortunate incident, last-minute make-up artist when the original girl had been a no-show. You were supposed to be busy at every turn, but Yeonjun on the job was something of a well-oiled machine, learning how to feed himself while you were on the phone and follow the line-up to the letter as long as he was awake enough to do it. It’s possible you could blame him for all the downtime you got that had led to the bulk of the problem.

Actually, you aren’t sure when it started or even how. Maybe it had happened somewhere in the middle of all his showcases and shows, sandwiched between the constant fever of communication and movement. Maybe it had come up in those hectic car rides where you’d spent a ton of time reminding him of what to do and what to expect. Or maybe it had grown with every time you had to wake him up in one of many lonely hotel rooms, with his head half-buried in the pillow to muffle the sleepy groans he’d use to respond to your soft voice.

Whenever it was, all you could be sure of was that you liked him. A lot. Maybe even with the time you’d come to know him, after all these years, a part of you was ready to say you loved him.

But that was the biggest barrier in the job, wasn’t it? Managers are supposed to stop their idols from dating, not want to do it with them. For the most part, you’ve been successful in holding yourself back from doing something stupid, which is technically the bare minimum for you. These days, though, you aren’t sure what it is; maybe you’re just on edge from all the work in this year’s promotional stint, and that kind of contributes to a weakened mentality, or some kind of wack explanation like that, but you find yourself more often losing your train of thought when you’re with him. Even without detailing the specifics to your friends and co-workers, they’ve noticed something was bothering you. They’d urged you to relieve yourself of your duties a little, maybe hire a co-manager to do all the menial stuff, but you know that’s not really the issue. Only one person — Sunyoung, Yeonjun’s wardrobe stylist — had managed to hit the nail on the head semi-accurately.

“Look, I get it,” she’d said one evening, after she’d shooed Yeonjun out of the dressing room so he could strap on his in-ear piece and prepare for the stage. You were supposed to be running around like a headless chicken, making sure everything was in check, but you were just slumped on the couch in the dressing room playing some dumb shark game your nephew had downloaded onto your phone. “You’re tired. You’re lonely. You can’t even go out for a cup of coffee without worrying about Yeonjun. But he’s fine. You can relax a little.”

“I’m totally relaxed,” you’d mumbled, watching your shark devour a poor surfer on your screen. “I’m fine.”

“Then you should get out more. Leave all of this behind and meet new people. Go on a date. Listen,” she’d covered your phone with her palm, and you heard the telltale music of your game coming to a bitter end. “Do something fun. Go on a date, seriously. I can set you up. It doesn’t even have to be anything serious, ____________! Just do something not work-related for once next week, and get this toxicity or whatever out of your system.”

You didn’t have the heart to say no or the courage to admit that nothing really would happen if that date wasn’t with Yeonjun, considering how far gone you were, so you’d just agreed.

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

Sunyoung had set you up for a Valentine’s Day date. Ironically, while the point was supposedly to get your mind off of Yeonjun on that day, he had a scheduled fan sign in Sinchon that you couldn’t miss out on. You had to pack an extra set of nicer clothes and a make-up bag that Yeonjun had eyed questioningly but silently as you’d entered the van.

“So how long is this fan sign?” He’d asked instead, immediately turning his attention to his phone the moment the van had started moving.

“Until six.”

“Then I don’t have another schedule, right?”

“No.” You don’t really ask why he’s curious; Yeonjun enjoys his personal time, as any celebrity does. “You’re free after. The van can take you home, or wherever else you need to be.”

He’d hummed appreciatively, fixated on his phone, and the rest of the ride is consumed in silence until you’d arrive at the venue.

Yeonjun is whisked immediately into hair and make-up, and Sunyoung emerges from his dressing tent a few moments after he disappears inside, portable clothes steamer in hand. “Hey; did you get my text?”

You shake your head; you’d spent the car ride irresponsibly ignoring your phone, opting to gnaw on one of your nails instead.

“I sent you the details of a reservation slot in this nice Italian place near Dongdaemun. Just drop my name and they’ll lead you to the table.”

“Look, I don’t really know if I want to do this,” you mumble sheepishly. “Blind dating isn’t my speed.”

“Just go. It’ll be fine. If you don’t like him, you don’t like him. Just give it a shot. If all else fails, just enjoy the pasta,” she’d said with finality, bopping the nozzle of the steamer on your shoulder as she walks away.

Yeonjun is out of the dressing room in twenty minutes, and even then, you’re not sure why it takes that long. You’ve consistently held the belief that Yeonjun doesn’t need make-up to look good, and you can hardly tell when he has it on, anyway. Still, it’s nice to see his stylist pushing his hair up into a neat, tiny quiff, and he’s changed from his standard white tee and jeans to something that resembles a casual suit. You guessed they did it for Valentine’s Day — emulating the coveted boyfriend look, and all that.

“How do I look?” He asks you, right before you lead him onstage. His eyes follow your hand as you fix the front of his jacket quickly.

“Great,” you reply. “As usual.”

“So until six, right?” His mouth is lifting into a grin that you can’t really understand.

“Until six,” you confirm, now a little curious. “You got somewhere to be?”

“Not sure,” he looks down at you enigmatically. “It’s my off time, so we’ll see what happens.”

“Don’t do anything stupid,” you warn him, even though there’s no heat in your words. You know he’s not dumb enough to gallivant around doing things that will get him on Dispatch’s radar.

He just laughs, giving you a small wink before he hops onstage, taking two steps at a time. The voices around you are drowned out by the screams that ensue once his fans see him.

From then on, it’s just the same pattern for the next two hours — you, standing on one corner of the stage beside a guy from security, watching hundreds of girls in a line titter and scream and fall to their knees in front of the table where Yeonjun is seated at. They’ve all got albums in their hands, offering them to him reverently for a signature, and he takes them all good-naturedly, scrawling his name and some short, practically unreadable message somewhere around it while chatting with them about food he likes and what movies he’s into these days.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, a ton of girls come with romantic gifts — flowers, chocolates, goodies baskets. One girl even brings a large teddy bear, plopping it down in front of him unceremoniously and scaring Yeonjun into accidentally miswriting his signature. You and the rest of his management team aren’t really strict about prohibiting gifts, but Yeonjun refuses all of them — nicely, of course, but to the disappointment of many fans. Every time he says no, he glances at you, like he’s worried you’re going to tell him off if he says yes. You’d wondered once before if he was just trying to pin the blame on you, but you know he’s not cruel like that. Today doesn’t make a difference; he rejects people with apologetic looks as he gives their albums back, and you can see their dejection as they trod off the stage. The teddy bear girl had left the toy by the stairs in her disappointment.

Yeonjun starts his closing ment at a quarter to six, and you tap the security guy next to you to remind him to bring him straight backstage after he’s finished before dashing off and ducking into the dressing room to change. You hear deafening cheers coupled with Yeonjun’s cute little goodbye! that signal the end of the fan sign, and you’ve just finished combing your hair back when Yeonjun walks in, idly patting his hair to see if everything is still in place.

“You look nice,” he observes casually, shrugging off his jacket. You try to avoid looking at him, even if his shoulders are so impossibly broad that you can’t really ever keep them out of your peripheral vision. “Do you have plans?”

“As a matter of fact, I do,” you admit, unsure as to why you feel so guilty for saying so. You’re not dating, you have to remind yourself. And you’re allowed to go out after work.

“Meeting someone special?”

“I’m not sure. Could be. I don’t know who I’m meeting, if I’m being honest.”

His expression is unreadable; his fingers are twirling his marker in quick, hypnotizing circles.

“Well, have fun,” he finally says, moving to hang his jacket on the back of a chair. “You should take the subway or something. Rush hour, and all that.”

“Thanks for the tip.” His words sound pretty dismissive, but you’re not sure why you don’t just leave right away. Maybe you’re expecting him to say something, although it’s really more about what you wish he would rather than what he reasonably would, and he just continues to stare quietly, still toying with the Sharpie. “If you
need anything, just call. You know?”

“I know,” he replies simply. “But I won’t bother you on a date. That’s just plain rude.”

“I’ll still answer. You know you’re more important than a blind date.”

“Am I?” He looks amused. “Sounds like you take this job too seriously. Don’t worry about me. I’ll probably just go home after all. There’s a wildlife documentary I’m dying to catch.”

You’re pretty sure you hadn’t meant the job, but you don’t correct him considering how that would out you. “Okay. See you bright and early tomorrow. Remember you’ve got a radio interview at nine, so can you please not stop by Starbucks before you go home? Please?”

“Sure, sure,” he waves you and your nagging off, and you bolt out of the door, feeling kind of stupid and a little flushed.

You take Yeonjun’s advice and get on the subway, except the first two trains Dongdaemun-bound are full to the brim and you have to squeeze yourself into the car of the third train by elbowing a couple of annoying teenage boys. The other problem you run into is that the train station exits are a fair way away from your destination, and you aren’t used to running in heels. You clip-clop your way down the sidewalk and hit every red light for the pedestrian crossings, much to your ire. At one point, you stop in the middle of the crossing and consider just storming back to the opposite end of the road and going home, but the subway station is too far away for that choice to make sense at that point anyway.

By the time you get to the restaurant, you’re about fifteen minutes late and have to sit on the chairs for walk-in customers to give your feet a break. The guy at the front of the house has the decency to wait for you to catch your breath and even quietly point out that a lock of hair is stuck to your lip gloss before he asks if you have a reservation.

You nervously pick at your dress and comb the ends of your hair as you follow him. You notice someone is already seated at the table, back to you and looking over the menu. You think about all the things that you want to say — sorry for being late, have you been waiting long?, I totally understand if you want to just leave — but there’s a weird nagging in the back of your mind that grows as you approach the table.

Maybe Sunyoung had known you had a type, so to speak —lean, sharp, nicely dressed. Technically, that wasn’t such a difficult set of characteristics to find, but the fact that they were all rolled up into one package seated at your table, so similar to the guy you’ve pinned as ideal, was just kind of spooky. Even the fact that your blind date was laughing to himself at God knows what, alongside the fact that the way his angular shoulders moved up and down comically the way his would, isjust weird.

That, or

All thoughts of apologizing fly out the window once you reach the table. All you can do is stare, your ears ringing and your fingers clutching your wallet tightly. Your mind has completely disconnected from reality, and the first thing that tumbles out of your mouth is loud and a little crude.

“Literally, what the hell?”

All the guy at your table can do is laugh harder, clearly because he’s Lee Freaking Yeonjun, and he’s finding this situation sidesplittingly hilarious.

“Yeonjun,” you hiss, your hand flying up and curling into a fist in an attempt to restrain yourself from grabbing him by the collar. “What are you doing here?”

It takes him another half-minute to sober down, and he’s still chuckling a little as he answers. “Waiting for my date, obviously.”

“Explain,” you demand, pointedly ignoring the looks couples from another table are giving you.

“Okay, but you have to sit down first,” he motions to the seat across from him. You pull it back and plop down onto it, gaze unwavering. He pauses, kind of dramatically, before continuing. “So there’s a set course meal, but I know you don’t like shellfish, so I thought—”

“I don’t want an explanation of the menu!” You shut your eyes, trying to block out the scene for a second. This can’t be happening. It makes no sense. “I want to know — wait, is this a prank?”

“What? No, of course not.”

“How are you here?”

“I took the van here,” he says, once again elusive. “I actually thought you’d get here before me, but then I realized you probably had to walk a long way. Sorry.” He has the decency to look sheepish at this point.

“Why are you here?”

“I’m on a date?” He shakes his head. “What’s not clicking, ____________?”

“Don’t sass me. Please. Do me that one courtesy, if nothing else.” He watches you down your water in one go, still looking politely amused. “Did Sunyoung put you up to this?”

“Actually, I asked her to rope you in.”

“Because?”

“Do I have to spell it out for you?” He looks incredulous. “Because I like you. I thought that was kind of obvious from the get-go.”

Nothing is making sense to you. Your head is starting to hurt a little, maybe from the situation, maybe from the cold water you’d drunk too fast. “How was it obvious?” You thought you had been kind of obvious, which was why you had attempted to stay distant and pretty aloof for the past few months.

“I listen to everything you say.”

“You have to,” you point out wearily. “That’s literally supposed to be our professional relationship.”

“Yeah, but I wouldn’t have done it so well and so frequently if it were anyone else who were my manager,” he tries to reason, then continues when you look unconvinced. “And the gifts. I don’t take them.”

“So?”

“So, I don’t have a reason to not take them, technically. I just don’t because I don’t want you to think I’m accepting other people’s affections.”

“That makes no sense. They’re your fans, so that has nothing to do with personal affections. You’re terrible at this.”

“Okay, fine — but so are you!” His voice transitions into something a little accusing. “It’s not like you’ve been good at showing me you like me either.”

He pauses, and for the first time in your life, you see something cross his face — uncertainty, maybe, or anxiety.

“You do like me, don’t you?”

The fire of indignant anger fueled by your initial shock dies down, and you’re left feeling a little embarrassed now. The entire walk here, you’d been torturing yourself with the fantasy that you could be somewhere else with Yeonjun on a date, but now that he’s seated across you in the flesh, you have no clue what to do or how to react properly. You toy with your napkin, but you feel his eyes burning into you.

“Fine. I do, but,” you raise your voice a little at the conjunction; he doesn’t even take you seriously, choosing to look relieved instead. “But I’m not supposed to, Yeonjun. This is bad.”

“Why? We’re at an old people restaurant. No one’s going to recognize us.”

“Because I’m not supposed to go on dates with the idol I’m managing.”

“Be honest,” his bottom lip juts out. “Is that all you think of me?”

Your lips thin out into a tight line; it’s easy to say no if you’re cheeky like him, but you’re pretty sure it’s easier to fire a manager for dating off-bounds than it is to cut off an idol’s career for the same reason.

“Can’t we be, you know,” he points between the two of you. “Just us? Not manager and idol. Just you and me. Just for tonight. And we can see how it goes.”

You hate that you cave so easily. You hate that you know you do because you like him so much. Your hand comes up to your face, trying to rub the ache away from your temples. A small, triumphant grin is growing on Yeonjun, like he already knows what you’re going to say. It occurs to you that after all this time you’ve come to know him well, he may have reached the same level of familiarity with you as well.

“Fine,” you mumble, and he doesn’t even contain his joy, pumping his fist into the air embarrassingly. “Fine. Just for tonight.”

“Just for tonight,” he agrees. “Then we can see how it goes.”

When you finally decide to meet his eye, you can’t help but laugh softly. He’s looking a little smug, and you want to smack him, or maybe just kiss him a little, but you just nudge his foot under the table. It doesn’t do anything to faze that little shit-eating expression on his face.

“Don’t think this gets you off of waking up early,” you warn, but you never do get to threaten him effectively with just how soft your words are. “I’m still hauling you out of bed at seven.”

“As long as it’s you,” he grins. “And no one else.”

“Shut up,” you try to bite back your smile, ducking your head instead to look at the menu when you feel it growing anyway. “Order your food.”

You know he’s not looking at the menu even as you pretend to peruse it. Still, he falls quiet, eerily so, and you think he’s just staring until you feel something soft land on top of your hand.

Your eyes lift again to his face, and he’s still smiling, albeit a little more serenely, without that joking expression he’s practically trademarked. His hand squeezes yours tightly, and even when he loosens his hold, his palm never leaves yours.

“You really do look beautiful tonight,” he says softly. “Happy Valentine’s Day, _______________.”

“I saw the way she looked at you!”

“Y/n you’re being fucking ridiculous, how can I control the way another woman looks at me.” Yeonjun huffs taking off his coat, lazily putting it over a chair at your dinner table. He was done with the argument that erupted on the drive home already and wasn’t trying to feed your anger with more anger.

What was supposed to be a great dinner with Yeonjun’s old college friends, turned to shit once you spotted his ex-girlfriend at the same table.

“Why didn’t you tell me she’d be there?” you turn to face him with sad eyes and angrily furrowed eyebrows.

“I didn’t know.”

“Bullshit.” Your voice cracked when you felt yourself choke up, which made him look at you with pity.

“
Baby don’t look at me like that. Fuck.” Yeonjun walked over to you and softly lifted his hand to caress your cheek but you flinched, avoiding his touch altogether as you took a step back to walk into your shared bedroom.

You left him glued to the floor of your kitchen for a few seconds. He was utterly confused at the fact that you just rejected his loving gesture, and by now anger was slowly starting to boil in the pit of his stomach at your ridiculous behavior.

He scoffed, stepping inside your shared bedroom to see you with your back facing him. You were calmly taking off your jewelry until you spot him in the full body mirror you were looking into.

“Don’t walk away from me like that.” Yeonjun hisses blocking your vision from the mirror by standing in front of you. “Why are you so upset? I left your side to talk to her for two seconds. That’s it! We parted ways as friends so there are no hard feelings. It was a friendly conversation y/n, I promise.”

He looked dumbstruck. His lips were parted just slightly as he stared down at you in what looked like shock. A small laugh caught in his throat as he brushed his hair out of his face, licking his dry lips trying to figure out what you just told him.

“Are you um
you know, are you busy? Is that why?” Yeonjun asked you. He looked down both ends of the aisle just to make sure nobody was around to hear him being rejected. It would ruin his street cred. Maybe he just caught you at a bad time, you were in the library after all and maybe he interrupted your work. Yeah that’s probably it.

“I’m not busy,” you told him as you put a book back into its spot, pushing the cart of books down the aisle, “I just don’t want to.”

“Why? Wait, um, did I do something to you?” He asked, looking like you shot an arrow straight through his ego. You shook your head releasing a small laugh as you kept working while he followed you. His brows scrunched together in confusion as he moved a couple books so you could put another into the space.

“No Yeonjun, you didn’t, I’m just not interested,” you told him, finally looking at him. He looked visibly taken back by the last statement you made and he was at the point of desperation so he needed to stop. He gave you a mere nod as he began to step away. You gave him a charming smile as you went back to work.

“Alright, I get it,” Yeonjun said with a dramatic sigh, “I’ll stop annoying you.”

“Thank you.”

He still can’t believe it.

“Am I ugly?” Yeonjun asked his friends the next day during lunch. They looked at him with expressions that immediately made him regret asking but it was too late to take it back.

“Yeah,” Kai said right away while Soobin just checked him out as if really contemplating how to answer the question. After much debate Soobin said, “Not usually, why?”

“Because Y/n said no,” Yeonjun told them as he checked his appearance with his front camera making sure to fix his hair and everything. The other two looked at each other with confusion before Soobin was the one to ask, “No to what?”

“Going with me to the party tonight, remember I told you guys I was gonna ask her out?” Yeonjun reminded them and the two made a unanimous ‘ahh’ sound. There was a party tonight at a friend’s place but Yeonjun couldn’t even tell you all about it because you were very quick to reject him! And he means quick like flash lightning. He hadn’t even finished his speech before you told him no. Then when he tried going into more detail you just told him you weren’t interested. It had his mind whirring.

“I remember but who cares? You’ll probably find someone else tonight anyways,” Kai said with a shrug as he stuffed his face with whatever lunch he bought at the cafeteria today. Yeonjun was still distraught by your rejection yesterday that he’s not even hungry.

Maybe he’s just being dramatic but he’s never been rejected before, he doesn’t know how to take it. He’s still thinking about the way you just straight up told him you are not interested in him. And okay, to be fair he’s only really been into you for the last few days and he was really seeing another girl just a couple weeks ago but that’s the past. You’re the one he wants right now and yet you rejected him. Him?!?

“But I want Y/n,” he released a loud whine that had him stomping his feet under the table in a mini tantrum. Why did you reject him? He doesn’t get it. He’s a total catch, ask anyone—literally.

He kept thinking about this all day and when he got to the party he was still sulking. Girls were talking to him about anything and everything yet his mind was stuck on you. He’ll admit his feelings aren’t deep for you but you’ve just really hurt his ego and he doesn’t get why. Do you have a partner? Are they even your type? Is he even your type? Do you not have time because of school or work? Are you just not feeling well? Why wouldn’t you want to come out with him tonight? He knows you said you’re not interested but how? He’s a catch. He needs you to know he’s a catch!!

“Guess who’s here,” Kai told Yeonjun practically running into him as the older tried to distract his broken heart with a game of Beer Pong with some girl he didn’t know. Yeonjun couldn’t even bring himself to be excited at what sounded like potential tea being spilled and ignored his friend instead choosing to shoot a ping pong ball straight into a red cup, immediately being cheered on.

Kai had to hit Yeonjun’s arm repeatedly to get the guy to react until finally he snapped and turned to the younger, “Hit me one more time I dar—“

Kai slapped him on the cheek lightly but enough to make Yeonjun’s head turn to the side and that’s where he saw it. Lo and behold, none other than L/n Y/n stood there chatting it up with some friends wearing his favorite colors. How could you do that to him? How could you stand there wearing lavender and powder blue while having drinks with someone else?

“I’ve gotta go pee,” Yeonjun lied as he left them all at the Beer Pong table ignoring their boo’s in order to go find you. He chugged back the rest of his drink giving quick waves to whoever said hi to him.

You were just minding your business trying to have at least one drink before you dipped out on the party and went home but apparently you couldn’t even do that. The universe wanted you to have to suffer and that’s why Yeonjun magically made his way to you and tapped your shoulder like some old lady asking if she could cut in line.

“Funny seeing you here,” Yeonjun said with his usual arrogant yet pretty smile, “I thought you were busy tonight.”

“Um,” your brows furrowed as you turned to look at him, “I'm pretty sure I said I wasn’t busy, I just wasn’t interested.”

Yeonjun’s eyes narrowed in thought ignoring the way your friends Taehyun and Beomgyu made ooo sounds like you gave him a good burn. He shook his head, “No I’m pretty sure I heard you say you’re busy and totally interested in me.”

“Well, I’m pretty sure you have hearing problems then because I never said that,” you responded looking a little annoyed now.

“I do have hearing problems,” Yeonjun said, never once backing down or stuttering over his words, “It’s called Selective Hearing, look it up.”

“I know what Selective Hearing is,” you told him, trying very hard not to smile because he was being so damn ridiculous right now.

“I’m just making sure,” he, on the other hand, had a shit-eating grin knowing that he’s getting to you, “So why don’t you tell me what you’re drinking so I could go get us more.”

“I have a full cup,” you said, “Besides I’m here with some friends.”

“What friends?” Yeonjun asked dramatically, looking around you. You rolled your eyes at his joke and turned to where Beomgyu and Taehyun should be. Keyword: should. They’re gone and when you looked around for them you found them playing Beer Pong pointing at you mockingly as they laughed. They knew how much Yeonjun grinds your gears and they left you here with them.

“Looks like you’re stuck with me,” he said with a smirk that you just wanted to wipe off. You shook your head, “Looks like I’m going home actu—“

“Y/n!” He called out to you as you made your way to the door but before you could get to it he cut through the crowd of party goers like a man on a mission and placed a large hand flat against the door, “Why do you hate me?”

Your brows furrowed, “First of all I don’t hate you.”

“Then why won’t you say yes to one date? Hell you won’t even say yes to one drink with me! If that doesn’t seem like hate I don’t know what does,” Yeonjun said honestly. Why do you keep rejecting every single one of his efforts?

“I’m just not interested, Yeonjun, I don’t like wasting my time,” you told him honestly, “And you’re the type of guy to lead someone on, waste their time, and never speak to them again.”

He was so visibly taken back by what you said that he couldn’t even react in time to you moving him back so you could open the door and leave the party.

Listen, you weren’t president of the Choi Yeonjun Hate Club by any means, seriously. It’s just hard to take the guy seriously when all you hear on campus is how much of a player he was. You’ve had a couple classes with him the last two years and yeah you know him but not like you really know him. He’s never shown interest in you before so why is he doing it now? You have no clue.

Also, you’re pretty sure just two weeks ago he was on some girl’s Instagram story with hearts all around it. He’s so clearly a fuckboy and those just aren’t your type. Between school and work you don’t have time to waste on some guy who’ll probably ghost you after getting you in bed. It might sound harsh but it’s probably true. So, like you said, better to not waste your time on a guy like him.

“So what did the Campus Crush want last weekend?” Taehyun asked as he and Beomgyu played some game on the PC while you scrolled through your socials. You were currently all sitting in the library on some lounge chairs wasting time till your next lecture. You released a deep sigh, “He keeps crying about a date.”

“Ooh, does this mean you’re gonna get laid?” Taehyung asked and both you and Beomgyu glared at him. You rolled your eyes, “First of all I said no. Second, why are you talking about getting laid if you’re a virgin.”

“That’s what im sayin,” Beomgyu said, “Yeonjun’s a fuckboy and Taehyun’s virgin ass shouldn’t be telling you to go for it.”

“First of all I’m not a virgin, second, because Y/n’s been in a dry spell for weeks,” Taehyun said, “Sorry I’m the only one looking out for her sanity.”

“You saying you’re not a virgin is exactly what a virgin would s—“

“I’m not a virgin!” Taehyun said a little too loudly and all heads turned in your direction. He released a loud groan as his face began to redden, “Alright whatever, I hate you guys. I hope Y/n stays single until she’s 60 and all shriveled up.”

With that he left, leaving you and Beomgyu to laugh on your own. Beomgyu pointed down at Taehyun’s snack that was sitting on the table, already reaching out to take it only for Taehyun to come back and snatch it. He left the two of you alone and you kept scrolling while Beomgyu played a single’s match now.

Taehyun was a muttering mess as he stomped out of the library, going on and on about how his best friends suck and hate on him because he’s the youngest. The only reason why he put a pause on cursing you both to hell was the tall frame blocking the entrance to the library as they came in. He looked up, an evil smirk on his face, “Hyung.”

“Taehyun,” Yeonjun said, looking around him almost immediately to see if you were around. The younger got the best idea ever and as he left he said, “If you’re looking for Y/n, she’s in the resting area in the back.”

Yeonjun nodded, thanking the guy blissfully unaware that Taehyun will probably get murdered tonight for telling him that. He was actually in here to escape some girl he ghosted who was just outside and the only place he could go was the library. It seems like the universe was on his side though since now he knows you’re here too. He followed Taehyun’s directions and found you right where he said you would be. Your back was to him and Beomgyu saw him coming first and he could see the way the guy told you about his arrival yet you didn’t turn.

He took Taehyun’s old seat with a simple, “Hey.”

“Hey
” Beomgyu said awkwardly as he looked at you, who only glared at Yeonjun. “What are you doing here?”

“Taehyun told me you were back here so
” Yeonjun said making himself comfortable, choosing to ignore the way you cursed at Taehyun who was only here in spirit. Yeonjun looked at Beomgyu expectantly and the guy just sighed, seeming to understand what he wanted and began gathering his things. You released a deep sigh, “Yeonjun.”

“Yes, cutie?” Yeonjun said with a flirty smile that he knew would annoy you but he’s come to realize you’re cute when you’re annoyed with him. You rolled your eyes, “What are you doing?”

He looked down at himself, “Sitting?”

You huffed in annoyance as you sat up to gather your things and try to leave but a sudden hand over yours stopped you. He smiled, “Come on Y/n, just give me one chance.”

“Are you always this desperate?” You asked and although it should be taken as a jab to his character he saw it as an opportunity. “For you? Yea—Wait, wait wait!”

You were both standing now and Yeonjun was in front of you, “Look, I just want one date. If it’s terrible you don’t ever have to speak to me again. If it’s good
 well
 um
 you know.”

“What? If it’s good I’m supposed to sleep with you? Fat chance Yeonjun, I’ve gotta go,” you told him, putting your backpack on and walking away but he was hot on your trail.

“I was gonna say if it’s good we’ll go on another, y’know, get to each other and shit,” Yeonjun said clearly new to this. He’s never had to beg someone to go out with him and please don’t ask why he’s so stuck on you. You sighed clearly wondering the same thing and finally turned to him making him stop abruptly before you bumped into each other.

“I’ll tell you what, give me a month to decide and if you’re still interested by then, then I’ll say yes” you said and it took everything in him not to release the loudest most annoying gasp in disbelief. A month?! If this was a cartoon he would have an arrow shot through his back.

“And well
if you’re with someone else then I guess it wasn’t meant to be, right?” You said with a nice smile now. There goes a second arrow right through his chest and if this was that cartoon then he would be on the floor bleeding out already from being rejected. Sensing his distress you decided to throw him a bone, “You do look good today.”

With that you left like you were never there in the first place.

A month? He can do a month, sure. Yeah. Easy as pie—except he doesn’t know how to make pie nor does he know if it’s easy at all! And he doesn’t get the saying and he doesn’t want to wait and he doesn’t know what to do!

“You okay there bud? You’re looking a little blue,” Soobin said right before Yeonjun crashed into his arms with a loud dramatic cry. Soobin struggled to catch him, nearly dropping the guy as Yeonjun gasped for air.

“A month! Y/n said in a month she’ll tell me if she’ll even consider a date! Who does that? Who puts someone on lay-away? Who would do that to me?” Yeonjun said pushing Soobin away so he could throw himself down on Kai’s couch ignoring the shout of the younger one cursing at him for making him miss a hit in his game. He held a hand up to his forehead like he was in a fainting spell, “Is something wrong with me?”

“Aside from your obnoxious dramatics, screechy laugh or ugly face? Probably no—ow!” Kai was cut off with Yeonjun pulling on a strand of his hair.

It was a Sunday, four days after you basically told him to fuck off for a month and he has no clue how to handle this rejection. Soobin knew this too and that’s why he said, “I’m meeting up with some girls to ‘study’ later, you should come with and forget about Y/n.”

“Can I come?” Kai asked and Soobin just nodded. Yeonjun shook his head no, “I don’t wanna.”

“Oh come on, yes you do,” Soobin said, reaching out to cling to him, “One of them has been begging to meet you. Why don’t you go for someone who likes you?”

“Fine, if you insist,” Yeonjun said, forgetting in that moment why he was so upset and what he was supposed to do for a month.

He joined the others at this little coffee shop later on in the day. He had to show up fashionably late for his own aesthetic and reputation and walked in like he was the coolest guy in the room. Soobin and Kai, of course, rolled their eyes but the girls were loving it.

“You’re late,” Soobin said with narrowed eyes because they had all been hanging out just a couple hours ago. Yeonjun just shrugged, “Can’t rush beauty.”

“Sure I can,” Kai said, kicking Yeonjun’s butt to hurry him along. Yeonjun glared at him but took a seat anyway. He looked at the three girls in front of them and he could immediately tell which one wanted to get to know him. She was practically sending him hearts with her eyes.

“Hyung this is Mina, Jisoo and Yeaun,” Soobin introduced him and he just nodded saying his name before looking down at what they were all doing.

“I thought we were studying,” Yeonjun said knowing damn well he didn’t even bring his backpack. He really just thought it would be funny to call them out on it since that was apparently the whole reason they gathered. He knew it was just an excuse but still. If you were here you wkd have brought your backpack, he’s just saying.

“Oh,” Yeaun laughed nervously, “We forgot our things.”

“It’s fine, Yeonjun is just messing with you guys,” Kai said, waving the older one off. Someone came by to get Yeonjun’s drink and that’s when they all started talking.

“I think I’ve seen you before,” Yeaun told him and he had to look at her closely to see if that was true. She gave him a flirty smile, “Dance class.”

“You’re a dance major?” Yeonjun asked in a questioning tone as he looked her over. She was cute, actually very close to his ideal type but hm

Hm

“Well no but I’m a theater major and I just want to expand my performance level, y’know?” She said trying to have a better conversation with him but he wasn’t all there.

Yeonjun knew he rejected Soobin’s offer to come out for a reason. Okay? At first he wasn’t even sure why he said no and that’s the only reason why he agreed—because it was so out of his character to turn it down, y’know? Like he said, they’re all cute but he just
he’s just not feeling it. That deal you made with him is really stuck in his mind.

You’re acting like he really is fickle. He knows he's dated a lot in the past [past as in a few weeks ago] but do you really have such little faith in him? You just had to say that if he dates someone else in the meantime then it’s not meant to be? What kind of shit is that? You won’t even give him a chance and he’s taking the challenge. He’s decided right now that he’ll show you. You think he’ll get over it in a month? You think he’ll go on to the next girl in line? Yeah alright, he’ll show you.

“Yeonjun,” Soobin called out to him and he snapped out of his own thoughts about you and caught everyone staring at him. “Huh?”

“Oh um, I was just wondering if you could help me with vocals some time, I heard you’re a good singer too,” Yeaun said brushing her fingers through her hair. Yeonjun looked her over, “Uh sure.”

He shook his head thinking of something else as he stood abruptly, “You know what, I’m not feeling good so I think it’s better if I just head home.”

“Oh wait, can I get your number?” Yeaun asked and he looked down at her outstretched hand with her phone in it. He wanted to say no but then he would look like a dick so he silently nodded and typed his number in before leaving without another word.

Once he was out of the cafĂ© he was notified about her contact info. He scrolled through his notifications while he waited for the bus and he couldn’t believe it. No wonder you had no faith in him. He had dozens of people in his DMs like a lot. You think he’s a fuckboy he gets that but damn he really was. He’s embarrassed that he’s shocked. Okay, he’s gonna really have to put in the work this month.

You honestly thought Yeonjun got over it. It’s almost been two weeks since you last ran into him and you’ll admit part of you was happy but the other part felt kind of bored. Like
where’s that annoying bug that wouldn’t leave you alone?

“Watch it,” Beomgyu huffed as he quite literally pushed you aside so he could leave the room first. You glared at him as he laughed, “You’re walking too slow.”

“I’m thinking!” You yelled, “I can’t multitask.”

“It’s walking
” Beomgyu said as he stood straight, “Are you dumb? Anyway, where’s Yeonjun? Shouldn’t he be popping up around the corner somewhere?”

You rolled your eyes, “I don’t know, he’s probably moved on.”

“Awe, that makes you want to cr—ah!” Beomgyu shut up the second you pulled on his hair and began swatting you away, “I’m kidding! Damn, you little demon.”

“Whatever,” you sighed as you began to walk away from him, “I’m gonna go to work.”

You said your goodbyes and you left toward the bus stop. Maybe you just jinxed yourself or this was some sort of sign because the only other person waiting for the bus was none other than Choi Yeonjun. He didn’t notice you at first but when he did he looked genuinely surprised to see you.

“Hey,” you said casually as you sat about a foot away from him. He took his AirPods out and put them away, “Hey.”

After some time of awkward silence Yeonjun cracked a smile, “Miss me?”

“What? No,” you told him with a roll of your eyes. You even turned yourself away from him a bit but Yeonjun was quick to bring you back to him, “Kidding.”

“So what are you doing tomorrow?” Yeonjun asked, already getting the annoyed look from you that he really liked, “I’m not asking you out. It’s an invitation.”

“For?”

“Soobin’s having some people over at his place, you and your friends should come,” Yeonjun said casually but he had this smell sense of fear that you might think he’s asking you out. Which, okay, maybe he’s cheating and if he hangs out with you all night then it would be like a date but
no. You stared off in thought and he felt the need to rush out, “Not a date. I swear.”

“Hm
alright,” you said with a shrug. He couldn’t help the curl of his lips with a smirk as he nodded, “Cool.”

Saturday night you were joined by your two besties at Soobin’s place. There were definitely more than a few people but it also wasn’t crazy packed either. There were enough people here that you didn’t really see Yeonjun since he was somewhere off doing whatever he does at parties.

“Can’t believe you got Y/n to come,” Kai said as he watched you play some drinking game with Taehyun. Yeonjun was watching too but his eyes were more focused on one of your opponents who was watching you closely like you interested him. He doesn’t like that. You also seemed to be entertaining the guy, laughing at his jokes or letting him ‘help’ you in the game. Yeonjun knew what he was feeling but he’s not used to it. He’s not used to feeling jealous.

It’s only been two weeks that has been holding himself back from talking to you and he’s quite literally cut everyone else off. He understood that if he wanted you to take him seriously then he would have to change some of his behaviors and he’s been trying. Even tonight when girls have come up to him trying to get him to be with them he’s been very bland. He hasn’t entertained them like he usually would. He’s not giving them flirty smiles or arrogant eyes. He’s just not caring enough for them. Yet here you are talking to any guy who approached you. It was driving him insane.

“She’s here but not for me, clearly,” Yeonjun said bitterly as he took a big swig of his drink, watching you intensely, “Who’s that guy she’s talking to?”

Kai looked over, “No clue, why? Am I sensing some jealousy from the Choi Yeonjun?”

He rolled his eyes at that as he took another drink, “Shut up.”

“He is jealous, everyone! Choi Yeonjun is jea—ow!” Kai whined when Yeonjun smacked his arm and rubbed the irritated area glaring at him in the process. Yeonjun thrusted his drink into Kai’s hands as he left.

“One more Y/n, please!” Taehyun begged as he tried playing one more round but you were tired of the game already. The guy who you were playing against was cool but he was sort of touchy. He kept checking you out in a way that made you feel slightly uncomfortable but you tried your best to be nice to him. You were just over it at this point.

“Yeah Y/n, one more,” the guy winked at you as he appeared right next to you, a hand on your lower back making you inch away from him, “You can be my partner.”

Taehyun’s eyes narrowed but before he could try and save you from this creep, a hard hand landed down on the guy’s shoulder making him turn already looking annoyed by the touch. Yeonjun stood there with a cocky grin, “Sorry man, I think I’m gonna take over from here.”

“What are you talking about?” The guy said glaring at him, “Y/n and I are about to get some drinks.”

Your brows scrunched together in confusion, “I’m not interested.”

“You heard her?” Yeonjun asked, standing between you two now, “She’s not interested so you can run along now.”

“Listen, I don’t know who you think you are to bring your ass over he—“

“I can tell you who I am right now,” Yeonjun was getting more irritated by the second. He already had to watch the guy try and flirt with you from across the room and now he’s annoyed because the guy is right here trying to get you to drink more with him. It’s like he’s going into protection mode at this point and he wants the creep to go away if that’s what you want.

“Yeonjun,” you called out to him but he was too busy staring the guy off as if ready to act whenever the guy did. You had to tug on the side of his shirt to pull him back but he was like a stone, “Yeonjun. Come on, show me where the bathroom is.”

It was just an excuse to get out of there because you can see it right now that he is not happy. Taehyun sensed this too so he tried to help, “Yeah come on, let’s go man.”

You wrapped a hand around Yeonjun’s arm and he was finally able to retreat even though the guy had him pissed off. He was barely able to notice the hand you had on him until he was walking away trying his hardest to ignore the guy’s curses that were geared toward him. Taehyun left the two of you alone and Yeonjun led you down a hall past the guest bathroom toward Soobin’s room for more privacy.

“You okay?” He asked as you opened the door to the master bathroom, leaving it open as you fixed your appearance.

You gave him a nod, “I’m fine, you’re the one who seemed pretty upset back there.”

He leaned against the doorframe watching you, “Was I as pushy as that guy?”

You looked at him through the reflection of the mirror deciding to be honest, a smile even cracked on your face, “You’re pushy but not like him, he’s a creep.”

He chuckled but still looked wary over it. You released a small sigh as you walked up to him, “Thank you though. He was weirding me out the whole game.”

Yeonjun looked surprised by that. This entire time he thought you were responding to the guy's advances and it wasn’t until the end that he realized you didn’t like it. He licked his dry lips as he looked down at you and how close the two of you were now. He kept glancing down at your lips but he knew he shouldn’t even try. But then you were moving closer and he acted before you began to doubt it and he was so close
so close that your lips merely brushed against each other and as he dipped his head down to capture them—the moment was ruined.

“Move! I’m gonna barf!” Soobin yelled, cutting right past you two and practically pushing you out on his own. You stumbled into Yeonjun and he glared at his friend, annoyed that you were pushed and interrupted too. He held you by the waist for longer than he needed to but you didn’t tell him to move. With an annoyed sigh he led you back out of the room scratching the back of his neck nervously, “So
”

“I’m gonna go sto e if the others are ready to go yet, I’m um
pretty tired,” you said making him frown a virgin but he just nodded. He had about two weeks before you took him seriously, right? So was the almost kiss just a fluke or something?

He just let you go as he stood in the hallway all by himself debating what he should do now if you left. He’ll probably just leave too then.

You hated that Yeonjun was really getting to you. You wanted to spend more time with him but you were still hesitant about it. That’s why you left to find your friends but neither one wanted to leave yet. You were over this party so you just wanted to go and when you found Yeonjun about to leave too, you rushed.

“Wanna get a cab together?” You asked him, catching him off guard but when he saw it was you behind him he was quickly agreeing. So the two of you headed downstairs while Yeonjun made the call and you waited silently. You got in the car together once it arrived and gave both of your addresses, which weren’t far from each other.

“You know it feels weird not having you ask me out every five seconds,” you joked and Yeonjun attempted a smile.

“You said a month, didn’t you?” He said looking over at you, “And it sounds like you did miss me after all.”

“Maybe a little,” you laughed softly as you brushed your hair out of your face.

When the car arrived at your place first it was very clear neither one of you wanted to part ways. So you decided to bite the bullet and say, “Wanna come up? Hang out a little more.”

That’s all he needed to be rushing out the car behind you, tapping his phone on the screen to pay the driver before you could. You laughed at the way he hit his head against the top of the car but he just smiled along with you. The two of you went up to your place and he felt nervous for some strange reason. It’s not like he’s never been to a girl’s house before but this felt different.

He could see your personality all over the place and he took his time remembering some of things you had like your backpack and laptop which sat on the small sofa. Your mail at the entrance table, blinds drawn, one cup in the sink. You chuckled, “Are you looking at my sink?”

“Maybe,” he smirked, “I’ve got to remember everything in here in case you never invite me back.”

“You’re so weird,” you said as you sat down on your couch after turning the lights on. When Yeonjun was done looking at everything he joined you.

“So
”

“So
” you repeated what he said and the both of you broke out in smiles. He licked his lips in thought. Would he have been reading it wrong if he leaned in for a kiss again? Was that just some sort of
 fluke?

“Are you going to kiss me yet or do I have to go fo—“

That was all Yeonjun needed to cup your face in his hands and press his lips against yours. You were taken back by his eagerness but you did your best to match it.

It was messy, a little too eager for a first kiss between you two. In his eyes, and maybe yours too, it had been anticipated, even if you rejected him a lot he knew there was tension there between you.

You swung a leg over his lap until you were straddling him and dragged his lips back to yours. Finally. You could feel the slightest hint of excitement throughout when you ground your hips down on his lap making him release a low groan and dig his nails into your hips, guiding you. Using his gasp to your advantage you let your tongue poke inside exploring the warmth of his mouth. His eyes fell shut deepening the kiss with his tongue and yours relishing in your make out.

Your hair fell to one side as you kissed along the corners of his mouth, a hand flat on his shirt while you trailed down toward his jaw. He licked his dry lips when he felt the tender affections on the angle of his jaw as the hand over his t-shirt ran over his chest. He let his head fall back trying to catch his breath when you playfully nipped at skin, kissing away any pain and sucking lightly. He readjusted you on his lap feeling a slight sense of uncomfortableness and let his hands fall back down to your waist keeping you in place.

"Fuck," he sighed out when your hand began to touch the end of his shirt sliding underneath to run over the ridges of abs. He'd gotten so muscular it was hard to not want to touch him all the time.

He always knew you were a great kisser and eager too. It had him wanting to forget everything and just live in the moment but he couldn’t. You made a deal.

One month. That’s how long you were going to make him wait for your answer and at this point he’s determined to wait that long even if he has you sitting pretty on his lap. The whole point was about him moving onto the next before you even gave him a chance so he has to prove he’s willing to wait for you to see he’s serious. When did he become so serious over getting one date? He doesn’t know.

“Wait,” he couldn’t help but release a small gasp when you kissed his neck but he had to stop, “Baby
” It slipped. He swears.

You pulled back immediately looking down at him with furrowed brows. He cleared his throat trying to sit up straighter without getting you off his lap, going as far as wrapping an arm around your waist for you to know he wants you there. He licked his lips, “Um
 I don’t know what we’re doing but if it’s y’know
uh, I think we should stop.”

You looked visibly offended and he winced at your glare as you began to slide off him despite his attempt to keep you in place, “What?”

“It’s just, you told me a month, right? That in a month you’ll tell me if you want to go on a date and it’s only been two weeks so I know you probably haven’t decided yet and I don’t want you to think I want to sleep with you,” Yeonjun said watching your face contort to disbelief, “I mean, I do! But I’ve got to show you I’m serious about that date, right? Well I can’t really show you I’ve changed if I give in the second you let me come close.”

“So you don’t want to
tonight?” You asked shyly now as he moved to stand up.

“I do, I want to so fucking bad Y/n, but I want to prove to you that I’m serious even more,” Yeonjun told you honestly, “So I think it’s better we just call it a night before I do something that’s going to push you away all over again.”

“Okay
” you said as he looked down at you, “So you’re leaving?”

“I’ve got to, or else you’ll tempt me too much,” he said but he still leaned down so he was hovering over you and kissed you once again.

It was short and sweet and he just had to do it a couple more times before he called it a night.

“Mmh, this is so hard,” he groaned against your lips, “But I should go, right?”

“Yeah
”

He smiled as you stood up with him to lead him out. He left with a promise to text you once he’s home and you were left alone to wonder what the hell just happened?

You honestly did not expect to catch feelings for Yeonjun. Like first of all, the guy’s a fuckboy so obvious when he first approached you, you did not take him seriously at all. That’s why you kept rejecting him over and over again but the last few weeks he’s seemed to change. You don’t know if you fully trust it yet but it’s been a month.

Now you’re here at some VR studio yelling loudly because you’re both scared of the horror game you’re currently playing. He’s practically clinging to you and then yelling when you touch him. He nearly walked you in the face with the controller.

“Wait!” You yelled trying to get away from his flying hands until it actually did hit you, “Ow.”

Yeonjun has never taken off a headset so fast as he looked over at you with a huge pout. He grabbed you and pulled you into him immediately, “I’m sorry, fuck, I’m so sorry, let me see. Where did I get you? Are you okay? Are you bleeding? Oh my god did I cut you?”

“Relax, I was exaggerating,” you chuckled and despite smiling at that he still squeezed you in his arms.

“Poor baby, let me kiss it better.”

“You don’t even know where you hit me,” you joked but he still held your face in his hands and pressed his lips against yours. You resisted the urge to roll your eyes at his excuses and kissed back. The screen flashed red signaling your deaths in the game. You sighed when he pulled away, “Now we died.”

“Rest in peace, let’s go,” Yeonjun said, helping you take off the headset fully and set it down next to his. He took you by the hand and led you out.

“What’s the plan now?” You asked as you left the studio. Yeonjun shrugged as he began to swing your laced hands, “Ice cream
and then a movie at your place?”

“Alright.”

It was supposed to just be a movie at your place in your bedroom but here you were kissing now. There was a hint of a smile into the kiss as he deepened it, dipping his head low. You straightened your back hoping to get closer to him, your hands going to his thighs for support as you sat criss crossed across from each other.

Just as you were moving closer to his groin area he reached for one of your wrists. Not stopping the kiss he pulled your hand away leading you to lay back. You followed his movements laying down on your bed as he hovered over you. He kissed down your neck, sucking softly on a spot he felt you twitch at. Your hands tugged on his shirt and though it was a quick pace he sat up pulling the shirt up.

He yanked it off feeling your hands fly to his belt loop but he stopped you again. He was slightly out of breath as he spoke, "Y/n..."

"What?" You asked self consciously, bringing your hands away. Leaning over you again, trapping you under him Yeonjun looked down. He tugged at your shirt, inching it off and you lifted your head to help remove it. He threw it on the ground moving to lightly kiss your neck again, "Let's take it slow, alright?"

Nodding feeling a little flustered you agreed, licking your lips as his hand trailed your side running over your bra. His mouth left wet kisses down to your collarbone and between your breasts. You let out a soft sigh feeling his gentle touch. You moved to unclip your bra, sliding it off. He left a gentle kiss on your right breast.

His hand cupped your chest kissing on the sides, "Just taking it slow..." He was telling himself that more than you.

His voice was airy as he let his tongue poke at your nipple. His thumb swiped over it feeling it begin to harden and let his other hand cup your other breast too. He repeated the action a couple times letting his hair tickle your neck before his lips circled around the hardened bud.

"Yeonj—ngh," you whined, wriggling around a little for more. He looked up at your face, tongue flicking your nipple as his other hand groped the flesh of your left breast. He didn't say anything but didn't move quicker. You wanted to rub your thighs together but with him laying between them it was hard to. Instead you ended up just trying to rut up against him.

When he pulled back a small string of saliva connected his bottom lip to your boob and before you could say anything he moved on to the other. You felt strange, getting so turned on with foreplay. You touched along his back wanting to feel more of him pushing your breasts in his face. He eagerly sucked on your nipples, coating them in spit that made you feel dirty in a good way. Once your nipples were as stiff as they could get he moved along down your stomach. He never once pulled his lips off your skin, not even when he tugged at the fabric of your shorts. He yanked them off, sitting back again looking down at your wriggling body.

Below him you looked so pretty.

Hair splayed across your bed sheets. Expression full of lust with darkened eyes. Exposed breasts moving with every pant of breath you took. Your frilly underwear that left little to imagination and with a smile he leaned forward to capture your lips with his again.

After a short kiss he pressed his face against yours. He licked the shell of your ear as a hand trailed down to the hem of your underwear.

He grunted shortly, finally removing your underwear as he went back to your breasts hungrily latching onto a nipple again. He slid your right leg up until it was bent close to your stomach, exposing more of your wet pussy. Silky strings of arousal coated his fingers as he ran them between your folds and over your clit. At the hint of some stimulation you began to meet the efforts of his hands with a roll of your hips. Unable to keep himself from a taste he dropped to be faced with your count.

With a groan, he pushed his nose into your wet pussy and inhaled deeply. Some slick nipped at the tip of his nose. Yeonjun just wanted to please you and make you feel good. His mouth closed over the stiffened clit suddenly and he began to lick and suck you, feeling the outline of your slit get his chin wet. He was lost in his own world, hips rutting against the bed as his tongue worked to taste your raw essence.

You were the sweetest thing to ever grace his tongue. His thick tongue lapped at your juices, running through your slit and pushing into your warm hole. He was quite literally tongue fucking you with a hand to your chest groping your tits again. If he could suck on them while feasting on your pussy he'd be in heaven.

You were in ecstasy with his mouth slobbering all over your cunt making you fuck up into his face. Yeonjun swirled over your sensitive bud using his other hand to spread out your soft folds. His tongue fucked into your pussy as far as he could go before feeling your walls clench around him. It only made the hand on your tits rougher groping more into his hand holding your hips anchored down to the bed as you began to shake.

"Yeon—" you moaned softly, hands in his soft dark hair keeping him in place. He didn't say anything, only heightening his movements and with a final call of his name you slowly unfolded before him. He eased you through your orgasm with a hand stretched across your body letting your hips guide him in a rhythmic motion through your high. Yeonjun pulled back for a moment, swiping his tongue on his lip, licking a small drop off as you caught your breath.

With an effort to lean up and kiss along your neck, you caught him off balance making him land on the bed instead. Quickly before he could try and stop you you were yanking his button open and tugging at the zipper. He hissed at the sudden friction of losing the thick layer of denim from his member. He let you slide them off, muscles tensing when he tried to lean up to kiss you.

You met him halfway, a messy tongue kiss mixed with the taste of your arousal and spit. Distracting him enough with the kiss you let your hand go over his bulge from his briefs.

Yeonjun’s breath caught in his throat at the first feel of your palm over his cock. His eyes glazed over as you smiled seductively at him kissing the tip of his nose before letting your hand slide past the briefs and touching him directly. You start with a couple experimental strokes, his mouth drawn open in a silent moan, "Should I stop? I can’t hear you.”

His brows are knitted together, a hand over your hair and the other fisted up to his forehead. He shook his head licking his lips, "Don't," his voice was hoarse, feeling you bring your face closer to his tip, licking it gently, tasting the bead of precum on your taste buds.

You flatten your tongue on the underside of his cock, a teasing long kitten lick from his base to his tip. You stopped at the head letting spit pool in your mouth and onto his cock keeping your eyes on his. Then, his eyes meet yours slowly and you swallow more of his length into your mouth. His eyes scrunched closed in pleasure, biting the back of his hand to stifle the loudest moan he's ever felt bubble up in his throat. It was something in the way you teased and looked him in the eyes while doing it.

Holding the base of his cock with one hand, you begin to bob your head setting a good pace, with your other hand on his thigh keeping yourself from losing balance.

Your eyes lock on the obvious muscles flexing under your touch. Your hand helps jerk the rest of him, your other hand coming up to massage his balls.

Yeonjun watches the way his cock disappears into your mouth, the feeling of your mouth, your hands working other areas. It took everything in him to not let out everything and instead released shaky breaths and soft groans. He was close.

You press into him, hand on his thigh once more as your nose pressed into his pubic bone. You took steady breaths through your nose doing your best to relax your throat and flatten your tongue. You stayed still for a second, letting yourself get used to his cock so deep in your throat, jagged breaths in and out. Yeonjun panted lightly, feeling the throb of his cock as his tip hit the back of your throat. He can’t believe you made him wait so long to have you like this. And he can’t believe it really was worth the wait.

You roughly swallow around him, suppressing a gag as you resume to deep throat him.

"Fucking hell," he groaned tossing his head back in bliss. Moans were pouring out of his mouth, his groan muffled into his hand, "I'm so—close."

His pants come quicker, more jagged and out of breath. His mouth hung open, hips almost locking from how hard his muscles flexed. With his cock twitching in your mouth Yeonjun slowly comes down from his high, hand petting your hair. His eyes were hazy and his mouth dry. It felt like he couldn't move a muscle and yet he was yanking you off his cock and smashing your lips onto his. He could taste himself on you and with your aftertaste on his he wished to kiss more. He was still hard, probably in anticipation when rummaging was heard.

Yeonjun pulled back to catch his breath letting you search for a condom tearing into it immediately.

He hissed in discomfort as he dragged his body into a sitting position, back pressed against your headboard. He let you slide the condom on his member watching it come back to life. His eyes locked on the spread of your legs moving to sit on his lap. Yeonjun kept a hand at his base and the other on your waist while yours gripped his shoulders.

He watched closely as you lined yourself up watching the head enter. He quickly looked at you as your mouth drew open, sinking down on his length. He didn't push to move even if he really wanted to and instead let you adjust. He wanted this to be pleasurable to you too. He whispered softly, "I want to make you feel so good.”

Your smile turned into a soft moan at the first expert roll of his hips digging his cock a little further into your walls. You ground your hips letting your head fall forward when he took a boob into his mouth fucking up into you.

He nipped at the bud playing with it as he looked up at you to the best of his ability. Your pouty lips moaning softly has him pulling away to kiss you again, "Am I making you feel good?"

He groped at your ass, spreading the soft cheeks apart and rammed into you when you threw your head back in a moan, "So fucking good."

You returned to him feeling lightheaded holding his face in your arms forcing him to look at you as he bounced you on his cock. A hand on your ass and another on your tit letting you pull his face into you. Your already erect buds tightening as he pinched and pulled at them. He left wet, sloppy kisses over your throat, moving his hands to grip your waist harshly. Yeonjun’s nail dug into your soft flesh as he lifted your hips up and down on his cock.

"Just like that," he bit into his lip, staring down at the way your hips gained a more determined rhythm to get him off. You pulled on his hair making him look at you, "I'm gonna cum."

"That's okay baby," he talked you through it, eyes locked on yours as he felt your warm walls begin to tighten around him. A familiar ring of nerves clenching around his member as it sucked him into your folds. He wasn't going to last much longer either.

He hasn't slept with someone and felt this good in a long time.

His voice was soft as he caressed the side of your face, "You're making me feel so good Y/n."

When you didn't respond and he felt himself at his peak he added, "Please, won't you let go for me?"

He let you snuggle your face into his neck, a hand still on your jaw as his forehead rested on your shoulder.

It was like a wave washed over you, the final words to put you over the edge. Just like that you were releasing, biting back a euphoric moan as Yeonjun hugged your sides talking you through it. In all your past hookups not once did they treat you so softly while tossing you around too. It made you want to show him other sides to you too.

When yours had calmed enough, the last squeeze of the ring was enough for him to let go into the condom. He grunted softly into your ear guiding your hips up and letting himself slip out. Your thighs shook as you crawled over to the side of the bed taking a moment to catch your breath.

Not caring much for the mess, Yeonjun took you by surprise when he laid down next to you. The condom long gone tossed off somewhere and he let his legs tangle with yours. As the sex haze wore off you began to question this, not because you regret it but because you don’t know where this leaves you two.

And the way Yeonjun was pulling you into his arms snuggling up against you as he let sleep began to take over his body, you debated if there was anything worth questioning.

By morning Yeonjun had processed last night through dreams. He rolled over to pull you to him once more and hit an empty bed. The blanket loosely covered over his lower half as he looked around the vacant bedroom.

With furrowed brows he looked on the floor sliding jeans on not caring for the briefs thrown on the floor and made his way out the door. He looked visibly taken back at the sight of you sitting on the couch working on your laptop. You hadn't even bothered to wake him up.

"Hey," you said blandly, going back to your work. Yeonjun picked up on your tone and no, he wasn't going to let you brush last night off.

"Why aren't you in bed?" He asked to check the time seeing it wasn't even seven yet. You shrugged. With a sigh he shuffled over to you, "Y/n."

You didn’t answer him right away, not until he took a seat next to you and pulled you into him, “Come on, let’s get back in bed. Or better yet, let’s get breakfast.”

“Yeonjun I don’t know
”

He rolled his eyes playfully, “That you like me? I know you do. I like you too and I thought last night was enough proof of that. So why don’t you put this away and please just have pancakes with your boyfriend?”

You matched the roll of his eyes as you cracked a smile, “Boyfriend? Since when?”

“Oh I’ve been your boyfriend for a while now but you’ve been pushing me away for over a month so I had to hide it.”

“You’re crazy.”

“For you? Yeah, I am,” he laughed.
