Traitor- NINE: Really Pretty

fuck. thats what you thought, choi yeonjun hasn’t been in your apartment in what? 4 years? hes drunk and heavy, i mean seriously it took at least more than 40 minutes to drag him here. well there’s certainly nothing you can do now, so here he sits in your living room completely wasted. blabbering about something you can’t interpret. “yeonjun are you hungry?”

he shakes his head slowly, “m-m no” sighing you walk over from the kitchen to sit next to him. “yeonjun you have two options” you say putting your index finger in the air. “one, being to eat or-” putting your middle finger up, “two, go throw up all that alcohol in you.” you get up, clapping your hands together, “so what it’d be?”

he lifts his head to look at you, “y/nnnn i really don’t wanna do that”

downturned eyes glistening with the dim living room light and an apparent pout on his lips thats making you giggle. he smiles and rubs his eyes to look at you a bit more clearly. “hey~ why are you laughing?”

he looks really pretty.

“nothing, you have to eat. come on” you help him get up from the couch, leading him to your kitchen and sitting him down on one of the island stools. “now me, a master chef will make you anything you want.” you take a bow but cant stop yourself from laughing, “at your service”

he laughs, “you know, you’re really cool y/n. i messed up a-and i’ve missed you… i-m sorry..” mid apology his voice started shaking and you could see tears forming in his eyes.

you rushed to comfort him, “hey, hey, no don’t cry. i was hurt before yes but im better and im glad we’re together again. i’ve missed you a whole lot too yeonjun”

he looks up with more tears though not of sadness this time. “r-really?”

“of course jun”

you spoke softly with a smile. if only you knew how pretty you looked right now. he always thought that, not only in looks but truly just pretty. if he had to explain this it would probably be it’s your manner and the way you talk so confidently. it’s nothing like four years ago.. you’ve changed, a good change.

“now, what do you want to eat?”

“mmm pizza” yeonjun said with a big cute smile like you could easily just wip up a pizza. letting out a laugh you say, “i know said i was a chef but thats not on the menu, i can order it?” he nods like an excited little kid, “yes please”

twenty minutes pass when the pizza delivery arrives, you tip the delivery man and bring the pizza over to the kitchen. “i know you’re not a fan of pineapple pizza but i got half of that for me” he looks up at you in disgust. ”thats gross” you click your tongue, opening the box to hand him one of his slices “just eat the pizza”

he smiles before taking a bite, “thank you, for taking care of me.”

-

you left to the bathroom for a moment and come back to see yeonjun’s upper body on the marble island and his head resting down on his arms. “you awake?” you ask but no response.

sighing you gently get him up and into your room, plopping him down onto your bed. “you’re lucky you have such a good friend like me” you whisper while fixing the sheets on top of him.

once you’re done tucking him in you smile and wish him goodnight, turning to leave the room- “y/n, stay for a bit please.” he mumbles. your eyes widen at his speech angrily whispering, “you scared me, i thought you were asleep”

he lowly chuckles, “please stay”

you walk back over to sit down on the floor, resting your head down on the bed. “okay, just for a while” yeonjun nods before slowly drifting of to sleep.

never you’d imagined something like this. him in your room and looking at him while he’s peaceful asleep. you’d be lying if you said you weren’t admiring him, looking at his features and reminiscing about old memories you have in this apartment. him helping you move in and hosting the best house warming party. the next day having to drop him off at his dorm because of how drunk he got. always such a lightweight. still, it saddens you to think about how your relationship ended. thinking how stupid it was. if it were to happen now instead of then you wouldn’t have given up on him that easily. you still blame yourself for that. “giving up” though you didn’t really, it feels like you did.

moments pass and you begin getting up from the floor wishing him a goodnight once again as you close the bedroom door, making your way to the couch for the night.

-

morning comes and hungover yeonjun is awakening and- shit he had a massive headache. where was he?

dark green sheets..?

he slowly sits up and begins to recall last nights events and where he currently was.

holy shit y/n. is she awake? do i check?

he gets up fully and slightly opens the bedroom door to see you asleep on the couch.

thank god she’s asleep, do i leave and not come back? fuck, no im not an complete asshole.

yeonjun sits back down on the bed contemplating what he should do in this situation, completely embarrassed of his actions from last night.

oh god… did i really cry? whatever, im starving. OH! i could make breakfast? no im not that great at cooking, ill just go buy something.

she has sticky notes on her desk.. that should work right?

yeonjun quickly gets his things, puts on his shoes and opens the apartment door to leave. shoot can’t forget this before sticking the note to the fridge.

note: i went out to get us breakfast! don’t think i left lol - junnie

-

waking up you go to knock on your bedroom door, “yeonjun you awake?” no reply.. why am i knocking? its my room..? “im going in okay?” you slowly open the door to see messy sheets and yeonjun no where to be found.

what the fuck??? did he leave??

you leave the room and start pacing the living room thinking of possible reasons as to why he left.

what if he thought it was weird and left? or maybe he doesn’t remember anything and thought we… oh my-

turning around you notice yellow square on your fridge, a sticky note? that definitely wasn’t there.. you read the note and you’re smiling, why are you smiling? so he left to get you breakfast..? cute

*ding*

you get your phone from the couch to look at its recent notification, smiling once again seeing it’s from yeonjun.

yeonjun: idk if you’re up but im bringing muffins, ik banana nut is your favorite :)

y/n: ahh you know me well! ill be waiting 🫶🏻

“what do you mean of course you did? it took you 5 tries” you say laughing, covering your mouth. “okay to be fair, the games here are rigged!” he smiles at your laughing face, taking into account jakes words. “do it already” but when is the perfect time to do so?

“okay so wanna go on the ferris wheel next?” you asked but jay paid no heed, too busy in his own thoughts and mindlessly responded, “yeah of course, lets go”

walking together side by side, jay cant help but eye your hand contemplating if he should hold it or not. wondering whether or not acting upon it would be too much since after all in your eyes you’re just friends.

-

after patiently waiting in line jay hands the tickets to go on the wheel giving you a light smile, “lets go” candidly, jay was a bit nervous to get on. he didn’t especially have a fear towards heights it was more of a fear of the ride suddenly stopping at the top. i guess it was perceptible on his face as the ride began since you suddenly asked, “are you okay jay?” he inclined his head, “yeah im fine” for a short time you looked at him with a worrisome expression before reaching your hand out to rest on top of his. “it’s fine if you don’t want to tell me.”

why do you act like this? you make his heart race but your face telling him that it wasn’t a big deal, that he shouldn’t think to much of this, that this is a normal thing for friends.

looking at your hands together he thinks, but isn’t this was he wanted all along?

the rest of the ride was awkward, he couldn’t get out of this thoughts. did you even like him back? what would be the point of sacrificing your friendship? just so he could get relief from his built up feelings?

this continued for the rest of the night, he tried to push it away but it was clear the mood had shifted.

in the end he just couldn’t do it, he was so determined to confess but realized if the possibility of loosing you was in the question then he can deal with his feelings on his own.

just a little tipsy!

Includes: Taehyun calling you to pick up your wasted boyfriend after their videoshoot with Suga!

a/n: pbbbt this sucks but enjoy :P

Just A Little Tipsy!
Just A Little Tipsy!
Just A Little Tipsy!

“Is he really that drunk?”

“Do you not hear him? He can barely stand up.”

“Ok ok I’m on my way.”

Arriving at the place, you could see Taehyun deadpanning as Yeonjun talked in his ear. You laugh at his drunken state, exiting the car. “Finally Jesus Christ he won’t stop whispering in my ear.” Taehyun narrowed his eyes, Yeonjun lighting up at the sight of you.

“Baby! Oh my god I missed you so much.” He goes to walk to you, swaying side to side. You grab his waist, holding him up. Yeonjun shoves your head in his chest, giving you a big hug. Pulling away from you he holds you by your shoulders. “Hi.” He boops your nose with his finger, making you shake your head in amusement. “Hi junnie.” Turning to Taehyun,“You okay to drive?”

“Yup all good, I’m good with liquor unlike some people.” He pokes at Yeonjun, his face forming into a pout. He grumbles at him as you lead him back to the car. When your strapping his seat belt on, Yeonjun stops you, holding you by your cheeks. “I love you~” He pecks your lips, pulling away and tracing them with his thumb. You peck his forehead, “love you too.” Making him blush, and smile drunkly at you, not knowing if it was because of the alcohol or because he was just so in love with you.

The whole car ride Yeonjun was blabbering on about how the food they ate was so delicious and he wanted more. “I wish you were there so you could try some. It was the best meat in the world.” You loved when Yeonjun was drunk, he never really had filter but when he was drunk he was so carefree, anything coming to mind would be spoke within the next second.

Arriving home was a little tricky because he did not wanna drink any water. “Jun baby please you need to drink water.” He shook his head no a big pout on his lips. “I want a kiss.” He puckered his lips, pulling you closer by the waist. “If you drink I’ll give you a kiss.” He grunted, snatching the cup of water in your hands and chugging it. Wiping his mouth with the back of his arm, he kissed you.

Yet instead of a long kiss he kept leaving pecks until he eventually deepened it by holding the back of your head. Sighing in content, he traces your bottom lip with his tongue, making you pull away. “Heyyyyy.” He whines, chasing your lips, only to be met with your cheek. “I’m not making out with you junnie. You need sleep.” He dramatically sighs, rolling his eyes. “But I just wanna kiss you.” He rubs your lips again. “I know but you also need to sleep. Come on.”

With protest, he lets you drag him to your shared bedroom. You try to get him changed, pulling his shirt off he gives you a look, making you roll your eyes playfully. He only let you put a pair of shorts on him, flopping onto the bed with you in his arms. “Hold on baby I have to get you a painkiller for the morning.” He smiles dreamily, tracing your cheeks. “I love it when you take care of me, you make me feel so loved.” He’s smiling hard, his eyes flicking between your lips and eyes.

“You’re so pretty baby. Did I ever tell you that?”

“Every day Jun.” You giggle in his embrace, “Mkay good because you’re my pretty girl.” He pecks your lips, then your cheeks and lastly your forehead. Whilst tracing your lips, he lays his head on your chest, listening to your heart beat. With your hands in his hair and the calm beat of your heart, he slowly flutters his eyes close. But before letting the sleep consume him he whispers. “I love you baby.” “I love you too Yeonjun.” He smiles, his breathing turning shallow, you following soon after.

When it’s morning, Yeonjun groans, caressing his head. “Ugh my head.” You stare up at him, tracing shapes on his chest. “You wouldn’t let me grab the pill for you so.” “Im never drinking again.” You both share a look, bursting into laughter right after. He doesn’t say anything, just grabbing you and once again kissing your lips.

Choi Yeonjun had been an autumn breeze.

He, gathering up summer’s glee and joy, had welcomed you with open arms right on the first day of school. There hadn’t been a smile on his face—you don’t remember there ever being one—but there’d been comfort in the way his eyes had shined. You hadn’t questioned his apathetic face or the deep sense of sorrow you had sensed from within him. Instead, you’d let his warm air wrap you up and hoped that his embrace would last.

Your relationship had never felt fleeting (though, you now realise, it was).

The long walks you two would take home from school, talking about anything and everything, weren’t fleeting. Study sessions held in local cafés, which consisted of more laughter and dry jokes—from Yeonjun; everything about him had been so dry and sombre—were anything, but fleeting. Even the brief smiles you’d send him in between classes, though short, felt longer than the classes you were heading into.

For the entirety of your relationship, everything had been fine. Sure, you two weren’t the most spontaneous of friends—loud and bright wherever you went—and you weren’t the type that could communicate with a single glance, but you had each other and that was all you needed.

So, why hadn’t things worked out?

That was the only thought that’d been plaguing you, since the moment you walked into the party and spotted Yeonjun smiling with some people surrounding him.

You thought you were over it. It was November now. The autumn breeze had left and the cold was trickling in, so it’d make sense for you to move on with it. But, his smile—so wide and so toothy (you’d never thought he would have a toothy smile)—dredged up unresolved feelings within you. And you couldn’t help but wonder, when did things start to go wrong?

image

Maybe it’d all started in October.

In September, Yeonjun had had you all to himself. In classes, you two had constantly paired up for projects. During lunch breaks, you two would save seats for each other—Yeonjun even declining to sit with other people for you. Your walks had been yours alone. Even if your parents had warned you not to stay out too late, with Yeonjun, those walks had felt like minutes whizzing by. Nothing could’ve separated you two, not that either of you had wanted that, for that first month.

Then, October had brought around some gradual changes.

First had been the schedule change. A couple of your periods had been flipped around, leaving you with only two shared classes and a lunch break. You two had told yourselves it was fine, and it truly had been. Any time lost had been made up in your walks, and nothing had felt out of place.

But then, there’d been another change. Your parents had encouraged—forced—you to get a job, which cut your walk time in half. Yeonjun had still reassured you that it wouldn’t change anything, that you would find a way around it. And, at first, nothing had changed. He would show up at the little diner you worked at, order a hearty meal, and tip extra. Sometimes, he’d even wait till the end of your shift to walk home with you, as you would rant about the countless times your annoying coworker tried to talk to you.

You had truly thought that, no matter what, your friendship was able to storm through whatever challenges were thrown at it.

(You’d been wrong.)

The end of October had brought around budding crushes, on both your ends. A blue boy, with a wide smile and a big heart, had made butterflies erupt from your chest, and the feeling—though painful—was wonderful. Meanwhile, Yeonjun’s cheeks would occasionally warm out of nowhere, and you’d spot him practising a confession multiple times.

Your feelings had left some distance between you two, as you’d spend some lunch breaks with your crush and switch out some walks for a ride in the blue boy’s car. But, it hadn’t been a canyon between you two. It’s been more like a valley, a barely steep one, that you two could slide into from your hills to rest in each other’s embrace once again.

So, if that wasn’t it, what was it?

image

Maybe it’d been that specific October day, you thought as you swirled around the drink in your hand and chugged it in one go. Eyes still set on Yeonjun, you didn’t flinch when his drifted towards yours. The surprise, then deep sorrow reflected in his eyes confirmed your thoughts.

It’d definitely been that day.

That day had seemed normal like any other (oh, if only you’d known how it would turn out).

Being mid-October, the temperatures had been rising, the days shortening, and you’d been able to see your breath in the cold, morning air. You’d loved the weather, and so had Yeonjun—you’d known because his eyes had been a little lighter than usual, something that’d brought a small smile to your face—but you’d spotted him fidgeting and nervous all day.

“_____,” he’d called out in AP Calc, one of the two subjects you two shared, “I need to tell you something later, ‘kay? Make sure you meet me by our spot after school.”

You hadn’t been nervous. (You hadn’t known there’d been reason to be nervous.) So, you had shrugged simply. “Sure.”

And, your day had gone on. By the time you’d been in your last period, and the smiley, blue boy had asked to drive you home, Yeonjun’s words had almost slipped your mind. Normally, you would’ve declined, put Yeonjun first. But, there’d been a certain curve in his smile, a certain sparkle in his eyes, that you’d found yourself saying yes.

You weren’t sure if you regretted your decision. (Something deep within you told you that you didn’t.)

So, instead of finding you at your shared spot that afternoon, Yeonjun had found a speedily written note. And, when he’d looked all over the parking lot for you, he’d found you in the backseat of the blue boy’s car, hand tangled in his hair and lips locked with his.

That day, Yeonjun had walked home—his secret intact in the depths of his heart.

And, you never knew.

image

Bailing on him, you thought certainly, was it.

Yeonjun’s eyes weren’t on yours anymore. Instead, they were on the arm wrapped around your waist. There were many bodies pressed against you two, and dizzying lights filled the house, but you could still spot the recognition in his eyes.

Wordlessly, you looked away from him, refocusing your eyes on the boy beside you.

A cruel smirk stretched your lips, as you asked, “Wanna go off somewhere quiet?”

He nodded, slightly confused and dazed, and followed you out into the cold. And, as you leaned in, kissing him softly, you realised that you missed the autumn breeze.

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

you’ve been managing yeonjun flawlessly for a few good years now, but there are just some things you can’t keep under control. the obvious solution? a blind date that skews towards the unexpected.

pairing: solo idol!yeonjun x reader rating: T genre: romance warnings: none! like the narrative has a swear word like idk once? word count: 3.5k

author’s notes: yeah it’s not actually valentine’s day but we write for a completely new fandom because we simply have no restraint !! just kidding, i’ve actually been hoping to extend my writing for other groups, but i haven’t yet because i’m extremely slow and a bit fickle. this is my first time writing for anything txt, but i hope to do so a bit more in the future!

if you like it, please consider reblogging to help spread the word!

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

Maybe your mom was right. Maybe the entertainment industry just isn’t for you.

She’d actively warned you against dedicating your time to, well, anything involving the glitz and glam, but you just hadn’t listened. There had been good opportunities, great experiences you’d never get anywhere else. For the most part, your choices had helped that expectation become that reality; you’d met people not just anyone got to meet, and you’d definitely had a substantial amount of unique encounters.

Still, you were aware that the only reason you’d ever gotten the chance to taste a little bit of the high life was because you had Yeonjun on your side. Choi Yeonjun — the rising star of the idol world, with a better career trajectory than the guy who owned Apple, it seemed. His job was the access pass to everything you enjoyed. Unfortunately, your ticket to all the good things was also the key to your prolonged misery.

As his manager, you have a ton of roles to play — logistics coordinator, scheduler, alarm clock, wardrobe checker, and, on one unfortunate incident, last-minute make-up artist when the original girl had been a no-show. You were supposed to be busy at every turn, but Yeonjun on the job was something of a well-oiled machine, learning how to feed himself while you were on the phone and follow the line-up to the letter as long as he was awake enough to do it. It’s possible you could blame him for all the downtime you got that had led to the bulk of the problem.

Actually, you aren’t sure when it started or even how. Maybe it had happened somewhere in the middle of all his showcases and shows, sandwiched between the constant fever of communication and movement. Maybe it had come up in those hectic car rides where you’d spent a ton of time reminding him of what to do and what to expect. Or maybe it had grown with every time you had to wake him up in one of many lonely hotel rooms, with his head half-buried in the pillow to muffle the sleepy groans he’d use to respond to your soft voice.

Whenever it was, all you could be sure of was that you liked him. A lot. Maybe even with the time you’d come to know him, after all these years, a part of you was ready to say you loved him.

But that was the biggest barrier in the job, wasn’t it? Managers are supposed to stop their idols from dating, not want to do it with them. For the most part, you’ve been successful in holding yourself back from doing something stupid, which is technically the bare minimum for you. These days, though, you aren’t sure what it is; maybe you’re just on edge from all the work in this year’s promotional stint, and that kind of contributes to a weakened mentality, or some kind of wack explanation like that, but you find yourself more often losing your train of thought when you’re with him. Even without detailing the specifics to your friends and co-workers, they’ve noticed something was bothering you. They’d urged you to relieve yourself of your duties a little, maybe hire a co-manager to do all the menial stuff, but you know that’s not really the issue. Only one person — Sunyoung, Yeonjun’s wardrobe stylist — had managed to hit the nail on the head semi-accurately.

“Look, I get it,” she’d said one evening, after she’d shooed Yeonjun out of the dressing room so he could strap on his in-ear piece and prepare for the stage. You were supposed to be running around like a headless chicken, making sure everything was in check, but you were just slumped on the couch in the dressing room playing some dumb shark game your nephew had downloaded onto your phone. “You’re tired. You’re lonely. You can’t even go out for a cup of coffee without worrying about Yeonjun. But he’s fine. You can relax a little.”

“I’m totally relaxed,” you’d mumbled, watching your shark devour a poor surfer on your screen. “I’m fine.”

“Then you should get out more. Leave all of this behind and meet new people. Go on a date. Listen,” she’d covered your phone with her palm, and you heard the telltale music of your game coming to a bitter end. “Do something fun. Go on a date, seriously. I can set you up. It doesn’t even have to be anything serious, ____________! Just do something not work-related for once next week, and get this toxicity or whatever out of your system.”

You didn’t have the heart to say no or the courage to admit that nothing really would happen if that date wasn’t with Yeonjun, considering how far gone you were, so you’d just agreed.

(give Me That) Can't Sleep Love | Cyj

Sunyoung had set you up for a Valentine’s Day date. Ironically, while the point was supposedly to get your mind off of Yeonjun on that day, he had a scheduled fan sign in Sinchon that you couldn’t miss out on. You had to pack an extra set of nicer clothes and a make-up bag that Yeonjun had eyed questioningly but silently as you’d entered the van.

“So how long is this fan sign?” He’d asked instead, immediately turning his attention to his phone the moment the van had started moving.

“Until six.”

“Then I don’t have another schedule, right?”

“No.” You don’t really ask why he’s curious; Yeonjun enjoys his personal time, as any celebrity does. “You’re free after. The van can take you home, or wherever else you need to be.”

He’d hummed appreciatively, fixated on his phone, and the rest of the ride is consumed in silence until you’d arrive at the venue.

Yeonjun is whisked immediately into hair and make-up, and Sunyoung emerges from his dressing tent a few moments after he disappears inside, portable clothes steamer in hand. “Hey; did you get my text?”

You shake your head; you’d spent the car ride irresponsibly ignoring your phone, opting to gnaw on one of your nails instead.

“I sent you the details of a reservation slot in this nice Italian place near Dongdaemun. Just drop my name and they’ll lead you to the table.”

“Look, I don’t really know if I want to do this,” you mumble sheepishly. “Blind dating isn’t my speed.”

“Just go. It’ll be fine. If you don’t like him, you don’t like him. Just give it a shot. If all else fails, just enjoy the pasta,” she’d said with finality, bopping the nozzle of the steamer on your shoulder as she walks away.

Yeonjun is out of the dressing room in twenty minutes, and even then, you’re not sure why it takes that long. You’ve consistently held the belief that Yeonjun doesn’t need make-up to look good, and you can hardly tell when he has it on, anyway. Still, it’s nice to see his stylist pushing his hair up into a neat, tiny quiff, and he’s changed from his standard white tee and jeans to something that resembles a casual suit. You guessed they did it for Valentine’s Day — emulating the coveted boyfriend look, and all that.

“How do I look?” He asks you, right before you lead him onstage. His eyes follow your hand as you fix the front of his jacket quickly.

“Great,” you reply. “As usual.”

“So until six, right?” His mouth is lifting into a grin that you can’t really understand.

“Until six,” you confirm, now a little curious. “You got somewhere to be?”

“Not sure,” he looks down at you enigmatically. “It’s my off time, so we’ll see what happens.”

“Don’t do anything stupid,” you warn him, even though there’s no heat in your words. You know he’s not dumb enough to gallivant around doing things that will get him on Dispatch’s radar.

He just laughs, giving you a small wink before he hops onstage, taking two steps at a time. The voices around you are drowned out by the screams that ensue once his fans see him.

From then on, it’s just the same pattern for the next two hours — you, standing on one corner of the stage beside a guy from security, watching hundreds of girls in a line titter and scream and fall to their knees in front of the table where Yeonjun is seated at. They’ve all got albums in their hands, offering them to him reverently for a signature, and he takes them all good-naturedly, scrawling his name and some short, practically unreadable message somewhere around it while chatting with them about food he likes and what movies he’s into these days.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day, a ton of girls come with romantic gifts — flowers, chocolates, goodies baskets. One girl even brings a large teddy bear, plopping it down in front of him unceremoniously and scaring Yeonjun into accidentally miswriting his signature. You and the rest of his management team aren’t really strict about prohibiting gifts, but Yeonjun refuses all of them — nicely, of course, but to the disappointment of many fans. Every time he says no, he glances at you, like he’s worried you’re going to tell him off if he says yes. You’d wondered once before if he was just trying to pin the blame on you, but you know he’s not cruel like that. Today doesn’t make a difference; he rejects people with apologetic looks as he gives their albums back, and you can see their dejection as they trod off the stage. The teddy bear girl had left the toy by the stairs in her disappointment.

Yeonjun starts his closing ment at a quarter to six, and you tap the security guy next to you to remind him to bring him straight backstage after he’s finished before dashing off and ducking into the dressing room to change. You hear deafening cheers coupled with Yeonjun’s cute little goodbye! that signal the end of the fan sign, and you’ve just finished combing your hair back when Yeonjun walks in, idly patting his hair to see if everything is still in place.

“You look nice,” he observes casually, shrugging off his jacket. You try to avoid looking at him, even if his shoulders are so impossibly broad that you can’t really ever keep them out of your peripheral vision. “Do you have plans?”

“As a matter of fact, I do,” you admit, unsure as to why you feel so guilty for saying so. You’re not dating, you have to remind yourself. And you’re allowed to go out after work.

“Meeting someone special?”

“I’m not sure. Could be. I don’t know who I’m meeting, if I’m being honest.”

His expression is unreadable; his fingers are twirling his marker in quick, hypnotizing circles.

“Well, have fun,” he finally says, moving to hang his jacket on the back of a chair. “You should take the subway or something. Rush hour, and all that.”

“Thanks for the tip.” His words sound pretty dismissive, but you’re not sure why you don’t just leave right away. Maybe you’re expecting him to say something, although it’s really more about what you wish he would rather than what he reasonably would, and he just continues to stare quietly, still toying with the Sharpie. “If you… need anything, just call. You know?”

“I know,” he replies simply. “But I won’t bother you on a date. That’s just plain rude.”

“I’ll still answer. You know you’re more important than a blind date.”

“Am I?” He looks amused. “Sounds like you take this job too seriously. Don’t worry about me. I’ll probably just go home after all. There’s a wildlife documentary I’m dying to catch.”

You’re pretty sure you hadn’t meant the job, but you don’t correct him considering how that would out you. “Okay. See you bright and early tomorrow. Remember you’ve got a radio interview at nine, so can you please not stop by Starbucks before you go home? Please?”

“Sure, sure,” he waves you and your nagging off, and you bolt out of the door, feeling kind of stupid and a little flushed.

You take Yeonjun’s advice and get on the subway, except the first two trains Dongdaemun-bound are full to the brim and you have to squeeze yourself into the car of the third train by elbowing a couple of annoying teenage boys. The other problem you run into is that the train station exits are a fair way away from your destination, and you aren’t used to running in heels. You clip-clop your way down the sidewalk and hit every red light for the pedestrian crossings, much to your ire. At one point, you stop in the middle of the crossing and consider just storming back to the opposite end of the road and going home, but the subway station is too far away for that choice to make sense at that point anyway.

By the time you get to the restaurant, you’re about fifteen minutes late and have to sit on the chairs for walk-in customers to give your feet a break. The guy at the front of the house has the decency to wait for you to catch your breath and even quietly point out that a lock of hair is stuck to your lip gloss before he asks if you have a reservation.

You nervously pick at your dress and comb the ends of your hair as you follow him. You notice someone is already seated at the table, back to you and looking over the menu. You think about all the things that you want to say — sorry for being late, have you been waiting long?, I totally understand if you want to just leave — but there’s a weird nagging in the back of your mind that grows as you approach the table.

Maybe Sunyoung had known you had a type, so to speak —lean, sharp, nicely dressed. Technically, that wasn’t such a difficult set of characteristics to find, but the fact that they were all rolled up into one package seated at your table, so similar to the guy you’ve pinned as ideal, was just kind of spooky. Even the fact that your blind date was laughing to himself at God knows what, alongside the fact that the way his angular shoulders moved up and down comically the way his would, isjust weird.

That, or…

All thoughts of apologizing fly out the window once you reach the table. All you can do is stare, your ears ringing and your fingers clutching your wallet tightly. Your mind has completely disconnected from reality, and the first thing that tumbles out of your mouth is loud and a little crude.

“Literally, what the hell?”

All the guy at your table can do is laugh harder, clearly because he’s Lee Freaking Yeonjun, and he’s finding this situation sidesplittingly hilarious.

“Yeonjun,” you hiss, your hand flying up and curling into a fist in an attempt to restrain yourself from grabbing him by the collar. “What are you doing here?”

It takes him another half-minute to sober down, and he’s still chuckling a little as he answers. “Waiting for my date, obviously.”

“Explain,” you demand, pointedly ignoring the looks couples from another table are giving you.

“Okay, but you have to sit down first,” he motions to the seat across from him. You pull it back and plop down onto it, gaze unwavering. He pauses, kind of dramatically, before continuing. “So there’s a set course meal, but I know you don’t like shellfish, so I thought—”

“I don’t want an explanation of the menu!” You shut your eyes, trying to block out the scene for a second. This can’t be happening. It makes no sense. “I want to know — wait, is this a prank?”

“What? No, of course not.”

“How are you here?”

“I took the van here,” he says, once again elusive. “I actually thought you’d get here before me, but then I realized you probably had to walk a long way. Sorry.” He has the decency to look sheepish at this point.

“Why are you here?”

“I’m on a date?” He shakes his head. “What’s not clicking, ____________?”

“Don’t sass me. Please. Do me that one courtesy, if nothing else.” He watches you down your water in one go, still looking politely amused. “Did Sunyoung put you up to this?”

“Actually, I asked her to rope you in.”

“Because?”

“Do I have to spell it out for you?” He looks incredulous. “Because I like you. I thought that was kind of obvious from the get-go.”

Nothing is making sense to you. Your head is starting to hurt a little, maybe from the situation, maybe from the cold water you’d drunk too fast. “How was it obvious?” You thought you had been kind of obvious, which was why you had attempted to stay distant and pretty aloof for the past few months.

“I listen to everything you say.”

“You have to,” you point out wearily. “That’s literally supposed to be our professional relationship.”

“Yeah, but I wouldn’t have done it so well and so frequently if it were anyone else who were my manager,” he tries to reason, then continues when you look unconvinced. “And the gifts. I don’t take them.”

“So?”

“So, I don’t have a reason to not take them, technically. I just don’t because I don’t want you to think I’m accepting other people’s affections.”

“That makes no sense. They’re your fans, so that has nothing to do with personal affections. You’re terrible at this.”

“Okay, fine — but so are you!” His voice transitions into something a little accusing. “It’s not like you’ve been good at showing me you like me either.”

He pauses, and for the first time in your life, you see something cross his face — uncertainty, maybe, or anxiety.

“You do like me, don’t you?”

The fire of indignant anger fueled by your initial shock dies down, and you’re left feeling a little embarrassed now. The entire walk here, you’d been torturing yourself with the fantasy that you could be somewhere else with Yeonjun on a date, but now that he’s seated across you in the flesh, you have no clue what to do or how to react properly. You toy with your napkin, but you feel his eyes burning into you.

“Fine. I do, but,” you raise your voice a little at the conjunction; he doesn’t even take you seriously, choosing to look relieved instead. “But I’m not supposed to, Yeonjun. This is bad.”

“Why? We’re at an old people restaurant. No one’s going to recognize us.”

“Because I’m not supposed to go on dates with the idol I’m managing.”

“Be honest,” his bottom lip juts out. “Is that all you think of me?”

Your lips thin out into a tight line; it’s easy to say no if you’re cheeky like him, but you’re pretty sure it’s easier to fire a manager for dating off-bounds than it is to cut off an idol’s career for the same reason.

“Can’t we be, you know,” he points between the two of you. “Just us? Not manager and idol. Just you and me. Just for tonight. And we can see how it goes.”

You hate that you cave so easily. You hate that you know you do because you like him so much. Your hand comes up to your face, trying to rub the ache away from your temples. A small, triumphant grin is growing on Yeonjun, like he already knows what you’re going to say. It occurs to you that after all this time you’ve come to know him well, he may have reached the same level of familiarity with you as well.

“Fine,” you mumble, and he doesn’t even contain his joy, pumping his fist into the air embarrassingly. “Fine. Just for tonight.”

“Just for tonight,” he agrees. “Then we can see how it goes.”

When you finally decide to meet his eye, you can’t help but laugh softly. He’s looking a little smug, and you want to smack him, or maybe just kiss him a little, but you just nudge his foot under the table. It doesn’t do anything to faze that little shit-eating expression on his face.

“Don’t think this gets you off of waking up early,” you warn, but you never do get to threaten him effectively with just how soft your words are. “I’m still hauling you out of bed at seven.”

“As long as it’s you,” he grins. “And no one else.”

“Shut up,” you try to bite back your smile, ducking your head instead to look at the menu when you feel it growing anyway. “Order your food.”

You know he’s not looking at the menu even as you pretend to peruse it. Still, he falls quiet, eerily so, and you think he’s just staring until you feel something soft land on top of your hand.

Your eyes lift again to his face, and he’s still smiling, albeit a little more serenely, without that joking expression he’s practically trademarked. His hand squeezes yours tightly, and even when he loosens his hold, his palm never leaves yours.

“You really do look beautiful tonight,” he says softly. “Happy Valentine’s Day, _______________.”

You always seemed to be missing a piece of stationery in 5th grade. Every time a lost pencil was replaced by your exasperated mother, there went your ruler the following week. It wasn’t until halfway into the term that you realized it was your plushie-loving deskmate, Kai. His speciality was pickpocketing your array of coloured glitter pens. Those were his favourite. It boiled your blood immensely but your teacher refused to change the seating plan, no matter how much you pleaded.

Between this and his penchant for tearing up pieces of paper to bits, you don’t even know how you and Huening Kai became friends.

Fic Type: One Shot As Part Of The Weeknd Series

⚝fic type: one shot as part of the weeknd series

⚝genre/contains: choi yeonjun x gn!reader, angst, fluff ending, heartbreak, yeonjun was a rebound

⚝word count: 4k

⚝synopsis: yeonjun was simply supposed to be a rebound to help you cope with the breakup you'd just gone through. when your relationship with him blossomed into more than that, you abruptly cut him off in a bid to protect yourself from any more possible hurt. you ended up hurting him instead, and as time went on you realized what a huge mistake you'd made by letting yeonjun go. perhaps you'll be able to salvage what you two had at the party tonight...

Fic Type: One Shot As Part Of The Weeknd Series

You chased after him in the sea of swaying bodies, weaving through the partygoers as deftly as you could manage while still keeping his raven coloured hair within your line of sight. It’s a good thing he was tall.

Your struggle in trailing after the sullen boy was eased considerably when you followed him onto a corridor with a thinner crowd. He didn’t look behind him or acknowledge your presence in any way before opening a door to his left and disappearing into its well-lit interior.

“Yeonjun, wait!” you pleaded, planting your palms on the bathroom’s door to keep him from shutting you– and the rest of the party– out. Your voice broke out from the confines of your chest all rushed and high-pitched, as if you feared you’d never be able to say what you needed to if you didn’t act right then. “We need to talk. I need to-”

“There’s nothing to talk about,” Yeonjun mumbled. His voice was gravelly, probably from lack of use. You’d noticed him falling quiet as the night wore on. His tone was firm, defensive, and it was a clear indicator that he wanted you to leave him alone.

“But there is, Yeonjun,” you insisted, just as firm. He sighed and held the door open for you, avoiding any eye contact as you walked past him into the small space. If you had to have this conversation in a bathroom then you would. The bright fluorescent lights left spots in your vision for a few seconds since everywhere else outside this bathroom was dimly lit. Yeonjun closed the door before leaning against it, black bangs falling over his eyes that were trained on the tiled floor as he waited for you to speak.

You and Yeonjun had broken up a few months ago. It really hadn’t been your intention to get into a relationship with him in the first place, heart still sore and mending from what your ex, Heesung, had put you through. But Yeonjun was like a treat that one stowed at the top shelf of their pantry for ‘emergencies’; vowing that they would take ‘just one more bite’ and they’d have had their fill... inevitably losing that war before they even realised it. You kept promising yourself that every date would be the last, and by the sixth one he had officially asked you to be his and you’d selfishly agreed. What you had meant to keep as a reliable contact for Saturday walks in the park had evolved into late night drives with a boy who held stars in his eyes.

You met Yeonjun at a dance studio a friend had been nagging you to check out. The place had a great reputation and you soon learned that Yeonjun spent a lot of his free time there. He was exemplary at dancing, much like anything else he really set his mind to. Like winning you over, for example. Something in his vibe was simply magnetic; he wormed his way into your heart quicker than you’d have thought possible. You knew what drew you to him… his infectious laughter that made his chest heave with the power of it, his attention to detail and how he expressed gratitude for even the tiniest of favours. Yeonjun never took anything for granted. He could also read you like an open book– always a step or two ahead of you in anticipating your needs and wants, and fulfilling them the best he could. Yeonjun was very convincing in his methods of winning you over, and before you knew it he’d reeled you in completely.

You’d let the affair get to far, both emotionally and physically, and when you eventually let him go you could see how heartbroken he was. It was insensitive of you, but the need to protect your recuperating heart had overpowered your empathy– at least at the time. The detachment was somewhat justified and easier to deal with when he’d seemingly moved on before you even had the chance to come to terms with everything. In any case, Yeonjun wasn’t one to dwell on things, especially outwardly. Once you’d ended things, he hadn’t stopped you to ask what had caused you to break him in the way that you did. He simply… moved on. You suppose it was selfish of you to want him to have lurked around for a while after the break-up, brooding over the broken pieces like you had with Heesung.

He didn’t even ask for his stuff back– the hoodies he’d left over at your place or the gifts he’d given you. Yeonjun wasn’t petty, and it sparked a newfound respect within you– because Heesung had been his polar opposite during your break up with the former. But without Yeonjun your days felt so long; without his cute texts to get you through your day the hours dragged on. It made you acutely aware of how Yeonjun had become your emotional support in so many ways. From his random check-ins to the silly memes he sent you… your life felt oddly empty in Yeonjun’s absence. It had taken some time to wean yourself off waiting for the chime of your phone every day at around lunch, which was when he usually spammed your line and reminded you to get something to eat.

The last time you’d seen Yeonjun was weeks ago. You’d ended up in the same restaurant late on a Thursday evening and you tried your best to ignore the forlorn gazes he not-so-subtly shot you every now and then as you directed your attention to the guy sitting across from you. He was a co-worker who’d been courting you for months and although you had no real interest in him, you decided to accept his dinner invitation with the hopes of getting Yeonjun off your mind. However, even while you weathered through the ups and downs of your own life, your nonchalance and indifference towards your breakup with Yeonjun was starting to wear off. Your true feelings within had inexorably begun to show themselves.

The nagging of your ever-persistent subconscious had caused that dam of emotions to break tonight.

He looked well, laughing with his friends and moving to the music as the party kicked up. He’d grown his hair out a little, black strands now brushing low on his neck. He was dressed as casually as everyone else, yet something about Yeonjun’s frame and stance made clothes sit on him elegantly.

When you’d first arrived, you caught sight of him as you and your friends milled through the throng of dancing bodies, stopping every now and then to greet someone you knew. Yeonjun’s smile had dropped once he turned around and saw you, the pain in his eyes evident as he tried to muster a smile back onto his face for the benefit of his own cheerful clique.

Nevertheless, he hadn’t spared you a glance as he breezed past your group of friends with his own gang. You knew this was all your doing, so why did it hurt you so much? Yeonjun was just supposed to be a rebound. A rebound that got out of hand, and you had ended things while you were at his place– in his bed, wearing his t-shirt. You still remember that Saturday as if it was yesterday. You’d had a fight the previous night, but he still convinced you to stay over and bargained that you two would solve your problems in the morning. In any case, it was late, and getting a taxi at that hour would be difficult. When you woke up your fight or flight instinct had kicked in when Yeonjun raised his voice a little as the two of you tried making amends. You were so scared that things would escalate the way they had with your ex, who would get so mad and say things he didn’t mean. He would then shut you out completely and for days it would feel like you weren’t in a relationship at all. That’s why you’d ended things with Yeonjun then and there; running away had always been your defence mechanism– albeit a shitty one.

After everything that happened with Heesung you had shied away from love, running away any time it knocked at your door. Your walls were high but Yeonjun had swooped in and made a hole in your defence, planting a seed of genuine care and affection that– through your haze of mistrust– you could only view as a weed in the carefully cultivated garden of your heart.

You’d uprooted him, and only then in his absence did you realise what you’d just given away.

What you didn’t know was how much Yeonjun was suffering without you; how much he’d cried after your fall-out. He’d taken your break up as a sign that you didn’t find your relationship with him valuable– that there was nothing to fight for between you two. That thought had spiked bitterness in Yeonjun, although it was largely clouded by the love he was starting to have for you that only grew bigger in your time apart. Perhaps absence did make the heart grow fonder. Yeonjun stopped frequenting the places you two would go together, trying to exterminate the sick hope in his heart that you would somehow bump into each other. He hated how cold his nights were without you. When you would come over you’d always offer to make dinner for the both of you as long as he was on dish duty. His apartment felt draughty without the calm and warmth your soft, sleepy laughter brought. The colours of his walls seemed washed out and Yeonjun’s general outlook on life had turned bleak. It had taken him forever to snap out of that mentally and find joy in what he liked to do once more.

His friends chastised him that it was foolish to have been so trusting so quickly, but something about you had drawn him in and taken a hold of him. You were diligent and quick witted, always eager to learn and open-minded in your ways of solving problems. Yeonjun had taken note of how weary you were heading into your relationship with him, how tentative you were in reaching out to him. He’d slowly unravelled the story of what had happened to you in your last relationship and did everything he could to make you more comfortable around him. A few weeks in and he had you smiling more, laughing more and sleeping better. He didn’t want any repayment for it, other than your time and affection… and when you had taken that away he’d been distraught. He’d never expected the excuse you had given him in the flurry of your departure from his life– that all Yeonjun had been to you was a rebound. All that time, all those kisses, all you two had shared was intended to be nothing but a temporary fix to your broken heart.

But he wasn’t going to give up on love as a concept just because of one bad relationship. Yeonjun patched himself up and spent all that love on his friends, his family, and most importantly himself. Seeing you tonight stung, sure, but he wouldn’t give anyone the satisfaction of knowing that.

The booming music had felt invigorating at first, considering this was the first party you’d attended in a long while. But now, in the cramped bathroom face-to-face with the boy whose heart you’d broken, the thumping of the bass was steadily giving you a headache. It was turning into the kind of evening where you’d usually crave Yeonjun’s company; his patient care soothed every headache and his attentive ears listened to every rant. If you wanted any hope of having another evening cuddled up on the couch with him then you’d need to right your wrongs in the here and now.

But the expression on Yeonjun’s face foreshadowed a difficult task on your part.

“I know there’s absolutely nothing I could say to ease the pain I caused…” you started off, chancing that his features would morph into a look less judgemental. “And I can’t fix the mistake I made but-”

“Mistake?” Yeonjun asked incredulously. He fought back the hope that was blooming within him; had you really changed your mind? Yeonjun internally scolded himself for being so ready to forgive you. He wouldn’t give into you so easily in case you broke him once more.

His gaze turned icier, emotions frozen beneath the dark gloom of his irises. “C’mon, think of something more original.”

“Well, I just want to tell you that I’m so sorry,” you said, taken aback by his cold retort. You fought the tears springing in your eyes. “I didn’t deserve you from the start, and yet you overlooked that and loved me anyways.”

You were shaking with how much you were restraining yourself from crying. “Yeonjun– I was terrified. And because of that I ruined it.”

Yeonjun just watched you, eyes thawing and softening a fraction with a new emotion you couldn’t quite place. He said your name quietly, patiently– as he always did, drawing out the syllables in a manner you’d always loved.

“What were you so terrified of?” His eyes bore into your own imploringly.

“Of the way you loved me,” you explained, frustrated by your situation and the tears that had started running down your face. “Yeonjun, you– you showed me what love could really feel like. After what I went through with my ex I couldn’t seem to let anyone in and you somehow fought your way through all my inhibitions.”

“You should’ve just communicated from the start.” He huffed exasperatedly, taking his hands out of his pockets to cross them over his torso.

“I know, I’m so sorry,” you mumbled, wiping your watery eyes on the back of your sleeve. “I’m trying to learn… how to not run away.”

He didn’t say anything for a long while, and you resigned yourself to the fact that all this was too little, too late. The silence grew heavy– loud, almost– as you stared at each other. The short distance between you two felt broader when Yeonjun’s eyes became distant for a while in thought. He spoke just as you were looking for something else to say.

“So what are you trying to get at with all this? Do you want me to take you back?” His tone was steady, unlike your shaky one as you stuttered and looked down at the floor. “You caused me so much pain.”

“I know, Yeonjun,” you said, missing the way a few teardrops slipped past Yeonjun’s eyes as you weren’t looking at him anymore. “And I promise I won’t hurt you again.”

Yeonjun let out a mirthless laugh and leaned down slightly so you were at eye level. He still kept his distance. “You’re right, you won’t.”

Your heart sank at his words. The harsh, assertive tone was so uncharacteristic of him. Had he perhaps found someone else? He did deserve someone better, but knowing Yeonjun you didn’t think he’d get into another relationship this quickly.

“Are you… seeing someone?” You choked out, a lump forming in your throat. Yeonjun considered your question for a moment before shifting from his position against the door and lessening the space between you two.

“Nope. I’m not ready for that yet. Wouldn’t want to repeat the cycle of heartbreak just to feel something,” he said quietly. Your mouth fell agape at the dig. His words cut deeper than a knife, tearing right through you and leaving you breathless with how heartless he sounded. Had you really turned him into this?

“I– yes, of course. I understand,” you said as steadily as you could manage, before nodding and excusing yourself. Yeonjun slid down against the door once you had disappeared back into the party, hiding his head in his hands as he sat with his knees pressed to his chest on the floor.

Unbeknownst to you, Yeonjun was simply putting up a front to prevent you from hurting him again. In the time you’d been apart he’d begun to put up his own defences… somehow knowing that a time would come when he’d have to face you again. You couldn’t avoid each other forever. A part of him had been waiting for this moment, replaying its possible pathways in his head while he cooked or showered or took a walk. He wanted you to feel that he’d totally let go of everything you two had, just like you did.

Now that this confrontation had happened, Yeonjun wondered if proving a point had been worth it. Your sorrowful face just now was a stark contrast to your controlled calm on that fateful Saturday. Sometimes hurt, and the fear of it, turned people into who they weren’t– and Yeonjun had just made the same mistake you had months ago. His heart ached with remorse; he’d been too harsh. The way you had followed him and apologized had caught him off guard. He hadn’t been prepared to have that conversation and he’d reacted badly.

Yeonjun cursed at himself and got up on his feet, determined to find you and put an end to this back and forth.

You didn’t bother looking for your friends again after you talked to Yeonjun. Neither did you try find a way to get home on your own. You just moved around the party people watching, more or less on autopilot. Yeonjun’s cold words and expressionless face burned behind your eyelids, haunting you every time you closed your eyes.

A merry group of people were trying to rope you into a game of beer pong when someone suddenly hurtled into you. You weren’t really paying attention to your surroundings, and for that reason you barely had time to react when a boy came crashing into you from your side. You were knocked into the beer pong table before hitting the ground. Your reflexes saved you from landing square on your face, because your arms flew out to catch your fall. The guy who’d crashed into you apologized profusely as he tried helping you up to your feet. His friends who’d been chasing him around watched on guiltily when you winced, quickly adjusting your stance so your left foot was carrying more weight than your right. The stares from everyone around you was starting to get on your nerves, and coupled with the events of the night you were on the verge of crying again.

The boys tried leading you to a nearby couch but you declined their help and limped away from the scene as quickly as you could; you really just wanted to go home now. You had almost made it out when you nearly tripped on a rug near the landing. You’d have tumbled to the floor for the second time that night if someone hadn’t steadied you from behind.

You were going to turn around and thank your good Samaritan, if the close proximity hadn’t let you get a whiff of Yeonjun’s distinctive cologne. You froze in place, the comfort you instinctively drew from that scent had you finally breaking down completely.

Yeonjun wrapped his arms around your middle and drew you close, shushing you. “It’s okay, we’re okay, I’m here…”

“My ankle,” you managed to spit out through your tears. He hummed in acknowledgement before picking you up bridal style and walked outside, towards his car.

“Geez, what happened?” His voice was laced with so much concern as he fumbled with his pockets for his car keys.

“Someone barrelled into me by accident,” you muttered, calming yourself down by tucking your face into the crook of his neck.

“You’ll need some ice on that foot,” Yeonjun said, more to himself than to you. “I could stop somewhere and get some.”

“But Yeonjun,” you started, trying to deflect the attention. Was he actually planning on ditching the people he’d arrived with to take you home? “Your friends…”

“They’ll find their way home, it’s cool.” He set you down in the passenger’s seat before circling round to the driver’s seat. Once he got in fetched you some tissues from the back seat as you explained what happened.

“Do you want to get something to eat?” he asked quietly, reaching over to brush a few hairs away from your face. Your skin warmed up slightly at the places his fingertips brushed against.

You shook your head and laid back against the headrest, exhausted. “I just want to go home, Jjunie.”

“Hey, that’s okay,” he whispered, trying to ignore the flip his stomach did at your use of the nickname. “We’ll get you home and we can order some takeout if you’re still hungry. But first, let me check out that ankle.”

He helped you hoist your leg onto his lap, mindful not to bump it against the gear lever. The delicate way he cradled your foot as he reached for the glove compartment had any animosity you had left in you towards him dissipate. He quietly hummed a tune you didn’t recognise as he grabbed the first aid kit and took out some brand of muscle relief spray, painting your ankle in the cold liquid before temporarily wrapping it with a bandage.

Yeonjun worked in silence as you watched him patch you up. In the quiet peace of his car it felt like nothing between you two had changed– like this was just any other day when you’d have to give each other first aid after over-exerting yourselves during dance practice.

“You’re staring,” he sighed after some time, and you were about to apologise before you caught the soft smirk playing on his lips. “Am I that gorgeous, hmm?”

You laughed at him, groaning at his playful banter. “Please, spare me, Choi Yeonjun.”

He laughed with you, and you could feel the tension leaving your body. Yeonjun looked happier now than he had all night, that light he carried within shining in his eyes once more.

“I missed you,” you admitted.

“Missed you, too, runaway,” he said back with a pout. His eyes turned serious for a moment, regarding you with such profound affection, before he winked and returned his attention to his task.

“Oh no, is that my name now?” you giggled.

“Might be…” he said, earnestly. “If you stick around.”

Yeonjun’s eyes adopted a shimmering quality when he let his vulnerability seep through. It was one of your weaknesses, one of the ways he’d unknowingly won you over. His eyes sparkled with a glittering hope as he waited for your answer.

“I will.” You held out your pinkie finger and he chuckled as he linked it with his own. “This time, I will.”

“No more running away…” he whispered. The two of you had somehow gotten so close mid-conversation and you could now make out the shadow of his eyelashes against his cheeks from the party’s lights seeping through the car windows.

“No more running away, I promise,” you confirmed in a hushed tone. “I want to stay.”

“Good,” he said happily, swooping in to nuzzle his nose into your cheek. You were giggling like little kids at the action, big smiles plastered on both of your faces.

“You know… you have to seal that promise,” he chanced.

“How will I do that?” you asked, laughing at the bashful pink tint on his cheeks. “We already pinkie swore, what’s left?”

Yeonjun didn’t answer you verbally, he merely pouted his lips in your direction, stifling back a laugh as you burst out with one of your own. Nevertheless, you happily obliged once your short fit of giggles had subsided, cupping his face in your palms.

You softly pressed your lips to his, both of you sighing at the feeling you had missed so dearly. Yeonjun’s plush lips pillowed yours oh-so lovingly, his hands sneaking up your sides to wrap across your back. The kiss was slow, neither of you in much of a hurry since you had the rest of the night ahead of you to keep at this deliriously sweet pace. The two of you kept going for what felt like forever, the precious give and take of such a delicate exchange too glorious to give up. You only pulled away because the position you two were in was getting uncomfortable. You both chuckled at how you’d ignored that fact for so long, too caught up in your kiss.

“No more tears, for the both of us.” you said breathlessly.

“Agreed,” Yeonjun whispered against your lips, stealing a final kiss before he pulled away with a grin and started the car.

sweet shopping surprise

pairing: yeonjun x reader

situation: you meet the school’s “bad boy” in the mall

photo: omyeongj on pinterest

image

Yeonjun is notorious in school as the boy your mom warned you about. Living up to this title, he rides a dangerous-looking motorbike and comes to class with cuts on his face.

Even though you share many classes with him, you have always made an effort to stay away.

That is, until today.

You ran into him at the shopping mall — more specifically, at the kiddie’s table in the Lego store.

You were trying to find a gift for your niece’s birthday, and he was completing his castle.

“Yeonjun?”

He knocked down several pieces when he looked up and saw you from behind his pink bangs. His ears turn the same color as his hair.

“Hey, Y/N. Of all places, I didn’t think I’d run into you here.” He tries to mask his flustered voice with a sheepish smile.

“Do you want to, uh, join me?”

It’s only polite to say yes… You thought, pulling the chair out and sitting down in front of him.

He slid the instruction manual across the small table so both of you could look at it together. In response, you picked up the pieces and started adding them to his castle.

At first, it was easy to fixate your eyes on the castle. But as time passed, and the two of you moved closer and closer to work on the core part, you couldn’t help but notice Yeonjun’s pretty profile.

Furrowed eyebrows, parted lips, and a focused gaze. It wasn’t difficult to understand why he’s named the hottest guy in school, year after year.

An hour later, the castle is complete. Yeonjun was super proud, whipping out his phone to take pictures and all that.

You were ready to bid him goodbye and return to searching for your niece’s gift when he shot from his seat and pulled you by the sleeve.

“Since you helped me with my castle, I’ll return the favor.”

“Well, I’m gift-shopping for my niece.”

“Then, let’s get your niece the best gift of his life!”

One store, then another. You two only digressed once to eat Bingsu and listen to a song by this group called TXT that he liked.

Okay, maybe twice.

The second time was when he convinced you to go on the red train that rode through the mall to give people a tour.

His reasoning was that you would know all the stores and wouldn’t accidentally miss one.

When the two of you finally landed the perfect gift, it was dark out.

“Do you want to go eat something?” He asked, standing next to you on the escalator.

“Sure, I’m a bit hungry.” You replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

But deep down, you know the wild feeling in your stomach is something other than hunger.

Yeonjun flashes you a wide grin.

“All that walking… I’m starving!”

After dinner, you agreed to let Yeonjun take you home on his motorbike. He was an absolute gentleman, helping you with your helmet and lifting you to climb onto the seat.

Though he wasn’t that much of a gentleman when he purposefully accidentally sped so you would clasp your arms around his waist.

When you realized and tried to unravel, Yeonjun pulled them back. “Let’s stay like this.” Voice deep and warm, rattling your ears.

Cue: internal combustion.

In the end, he took you home safe and sound, handed you your gift bag, and wished you good night.

You didn’t know it then. But it was the first of many more mall dates with Yeonjun.

TW for a lil bit of possessiveness!

~

This was wrong, it was beyond wrong. You knew it felt wrong to enter your parents' bedroom without permission in the first place, and you knew it felt wrong when you laid on their bed with your boyfriend. It felt wrong when he pulled your body close to his and slipped his hand up your shirt as you made out with tounge, and it felt wrong when you pushed him against the headboard straddled him, and even more wrong when you started grinding on his hardening cock. But now, as you were bouncing on his dick, all those feelings of wrongness had escaped your mind, as there wasn't much you could think about other than how fucking good he was making you feel. There was no way something could feel this good and not be right.

Your relationship with your parents was nothing short of a mess, and after endless nights of hearing you cry over how they've fucked you over, Yeonjun grew to despise them. He knew he took care of you better than they ever could, and it infuriated him when they still claimed you as their baby. Because you weren't. You were his. So when he found out they were out for the night, he just had to get you on their bed to fuck you.

~

Yeonjun's fingers grip onto your waist, holding you upright as you rut yourself on his dick - tomorrow you could examine the little bruises that were going to show on your waist. You'd be sure to take a picture ; maybe even a polaroid, if they're clear enough, because you like to take pretty pictures of the pretty marks that your daddy leaves on your body.

"D-daddy, fuck," you squeak out, your voice shaken by the movement of your body.

"That's right baby, I'm your daddy. Fuck your parents, I'm your daddy. You belong to me."

Yeonjun almost growls as he speaks, but his aggression doesn't threaten you, it just turns you on ; actually, upon hearing his words, you moan even louder. He decides he wants more friction, so he tucks his fingers underneath your thighs to help support your weight, allowing you to bounce faster. The increase in pace brings you closer to your limit, and you feel an incredible hotness burning up from underneath your skin.

Your walls begin pulsing around his dick, causing him to throw his head back and yell your name ; you're both way too loud in bed, shamelessly moaning and whining like sluts. It heightens the atmosphere of desperation, and is half of the reason why it's so enjoyable.

"Please daddy, w-wanna cum-" you beg, but Yeonjun shakes his head.

"Just wait, doll, wanna cum with you. When I say cum, cum."

You nod obediently, straining to hold in your orgasm, your eyes beginning to sting with desire. You dig your nails into his shoulders and he yelps - it was exactly what he needed to be pushed over the edge.

"Now, cum," he utters out, cutting himself off with an obscenely loud moan as he releases inside you. You whine out his name as you release around his cock, almost collapsing into his chest as your face distorts with pleasure. You can feel his cum dripping down your thighs and onto his, and it felt amazing.

"Colour?" he pants, still coming round.

"Green, daddy... want more..."

Yeonjun smirks.

"Then I'll give you more, pretty. Don't you worry."

He brings his arms up to cradle your back, then leans you backwards and hovers over you, drinking in how tiny you look beneath him ; you really are his little baby, his precious little one. So fun to protect, so easy to ruin. Your tight little cunt is all stretched out because of him, your cute cheeks are ridiculously flushed because of how he'd handled you, and your soft lips are all pink and swollen because of his kisses. You still have that dumb, curious glint in your eye that he adores as you stare up at him now. He loves how he's making you a mess - his mess. His sweet little mess that he was dying to breed.

"You ready?"

"Please, daddy."

"Begging for me?" he lets out a chuckle. "That's my good little slut."

Your tummy heats up at the nickname, and the feeling is immediately multiplied by a thousand as he slides into you, inserting his full legnth into you. You let out a long whine, allowing your face to fully distort with pleasure. With all the cum in you, he could easily slide in, but there was still a slight stretch. And it felt beautiful.

Yeonjun was soon lost in the feeling of your pussy, slamming his cock in and out of you, pinning you down by your shoulders. You found yourself overwhelmed with pleasure, saying whatever came to mind without a second thought.

"I'm yours, I'm yours, breed me, fill me up," you babble. It feels like you've been lifted to another planet, and that every last bit of sense in your brain had been pounded out of you. You swing your legs up and wrap them around him, forcefully pulling him closer to you by his waist. He looked taken back, and nearly fell on top of you, but you didn't care. You were just desperate to feel him closer to you.

"Breed me Junnie, fuck!"

"Gonna breed you, princess," he grunts, staring down at your dripping cunt as he fucks his cum back into it. There was so much of it at this point that your pussy is coated with sticky white liquid, and it feels amazingly gross.

"You're mommy and I'm daddy, hm? That's right, isn't it?"

Your mouth is gaping from the force of his hips and the feeling of his cum being pushed back into your hole - you can't even manage out a simple 'yes', so you just nod, as enthusiastically as you can in your state. Yeonjun just smirks, slowing the pace of his thrusts to tease you. You groan in response, your hands wandering around his body to find their way to his hips.

"You're a mess, mommy. Such a slut for daddy. You've let me fuck you dumb, I'm turning you into my own personal slut."

You nodded again, your eyes almost rolling to the back of your head. You could feel yourself about to cum again, and you couldn't even manage to ask for permission. You just let it flow out, your walls squeezing and pushing against Yeonjun's cock, accidentally pushing some of his cum out of you as you came.

"That's right, mommy. Cum for daddy." he whispers, tracing his hand up and down your trembling thigh. "All for me, you're mine."

Tears begin spilling from your eyes, and your loud, whiney moans settle into small groans and whimpers. Yeonjun wipes the tears from your cheeks, his libido melting into feelings of softness as he watches you weep in pleasure.

"Dad-daddy..."

He pulls out and finishes himself off with his hand, deciding not to cum inside you when you're this dazed and unaware.

"Good, baby, that's right." he moans out, squeezing your thigh lightly. "You always take me so well, so good, fuck, "

He cums on his own fist, gripping your thigh as he does so, whining with sheer pleasure. He was beginning to get overstimulated too, so he decided it would be best to call it a night ; he's more than satisfied, and by the look on your face, he's sure you are too.

When he's sure you've come around from your final orgasm, and he's finished too, he drags a finger through your folds, collecting a mix of his and your cum on his fingers. He holds it out to you, looking at you expectantly.

"Taste it, doll."

You stare up at him through glassy eyes as you wrap your lips around them, and he stares down at you in adoration. The way your tounge flexes around his thick fingers is soothing to you, but not as soothing as the feeling of your boyfriends hot cum dripping off his fingers inside your mouth and trickling down your throat.

"That's my baby."

You can smell it, and it smells sour, but it taste like the perfect mix of salty and sweet. He slides his fingers out of your mouth and caresses your thumb with his cheek, staring down at you with pride and adoration.

"I didn't go too hard on you did I, baby?" he cups your face. "You know I'd never wanna hurt you, you're too precious to me..."

And there he was.

Your sweet daddy, always protecting you and having your best interests at heart. He makes you feel so cared for, unlike anyone ever has before. Especially your parents.

He assists you in slipping his hoodie - which you absolutely drown in since it's even oversized for him - over your head, then wiggles back into his own underwear. He hooks his arms under your knees and your back, lifting you up to carry your tired body from your parents' bedroom back to yours.

"I'll get you back into your bed, princess, and I'll clean this up later. You don't have to lift a finger, my sweet baby. You know I'll always look after you."

Your heart swells at his sweet words, enjoying how you felt so small and protected in his arms, and grateful that he helped you out ; even though the walk to your parents bedroom is only around 15 seconds, you felt wrecked, so you're not so sure if you could make it very far. Not without at least limping, anyways.

You feel satisfied with the mess you had made on your parents bed, and you couldn't stop thinking about if they somehow came home and caught you. Maybe next time.

"You're the best daddy ever...." you mumble, an absent minded smile occupying your face as he sets you down. He just chuckles before climbing in your bed with you, desperate for cuddles, as you both always were.

How they comfort you when you are upset

TxT x Reader

A/n: Lol I don't have much friends or someone to comfort me and I'd really love to have someone. Idk if you can classify this as angst but this might make some people sad.

Yeonjun

"Y/n-ah!" You heard you Yeonjun's voice "Where are you?" He whined as he walked through the semi dark appartment switching on the lights. "There you are" he said in relief as he found you face red, eyes bloodshot red due to crying, features still trembling.

"J-jun" you said in a soft voice, looking at him with eyes and it physically hurt him to see you this way. You were generally the chirpy one who always partnered with him on his chaotic deeds so seeing you like that, sitting on the bathroom floor, crying for hours, broke him. He rushed to hug you, and you hugged him back almost clinging to him for dear life. He'd hug you tighter "lets get you up and to the bed okay?" He'd say before pulling away and pulling you up by your arms and taking you to the bed where he'd wrap you up and hold you close, feeding you chocolates and ice cream, talking about how what happened could have happened to anyone and it was specifically your fault. He'd look into your eyes and say "It's okay, you tried you best, it wasn't enough so you try again and this time you will overdo yourself from last time and succeed"

"I believe in you" he'd say and hug you as you'd shed silent tears and he'd simply let you cry it out.

Soobin

Shutting people out, that's a habit of yours, when you are upset, your mind keeps telling you 'Noone will understand you'. Soobin knows that and he's been there, waiting for you to come to him but that was in the past. That is why here the tall guy is sitting at the edge of your bed as you sob out on his shoulder.

He knows what it's like to be alone and he also knows you'd do the same for him. So, he would just be there ready to listen when you talk. He would wait patiently unless you've cried yourself out or spoken to him "It's okay to cry, do not bottle your feelings" he'd say and he'd just run his big hands, on your arms in a soothing manner and to make you feel that no matter what happens, no matter who come he, would always be there for you. "I will not let you shut me out and cry alone, you're stuck with me" he would assure you.

He'd try to act cute to get a reaction from you, smiling to himself like an idiot when you give in. He'd go as far as to force you out of bed and sober you up to take you for a stroll, or for a run of your favourite dessert/food. He'd sing for you as you both would be sitting alone at your favourite roof top feeling the cold night breeze against your face.

Beomgyu

This guy is a comedy himself, but the moment he'll see your face or watch you rush out of the room, he'd follow you. He'd probably find you in a secluded area, breathing heavily, trying your best not to break down. But one "Y/n" from him and all your controls would break and he'd rush to hug you.

He is not the best with words so he'll let his actions speak louder. He'll stay quiet, scared that he might make things worse by saying the something wrong. He'd simply draw comforting patterns on your back as you bowled out your eyes, probably getting his t-shirt wet, but he wouldn't care, you are the most important. He'd wait untill you would be ready to speak.

He'd try his best to recall some stupid jokes that you liked and tell them to you and you'd surely end up laughing leading to Beomgyu smiling at you like an idiot. Then telling him what happened, while he listens closely.

Taehyun

"What's up, loser" he'd say taking a seat beside your curled up body. No he doesn't mean ut, it's just his way of kinda the testing the waters. Only to make you sob a but harder and his eyes would go wide. You know Taehyun isn't much of a person for physical love, so even you'd be a bit shocked when he'd hug you, but you'd shift into his embrace none the less.

"It's fine, trust me, we'll fix it together" he assure you as he'd rub soothing circles on your back. "What if it can't be fixed?" You'd ask looking at him with big teary eyes. "Then we'll do it all over again" he'd say looking damn into your eyes with a reassuring smile. He would stay beside you the whole time, be it hours even.

He would have finally ordered your favourite food and force you to eat it. Then finally he'd talk to you in deep with what happened. The two of you would walk through every detail and steps and he'd help you figure iut exactly what things might have gone wrong and where are the weak points. He'd help you figure out exactly where the points of improvement are.

Heuning-Kai

He has always been your comfort person, the person you can go to when your upset or anything really. He'll always be there for you to support you, to cheer you up and to help you get back on your feet. Hence, when he'd get to know from a common friend that they saw you upset he'd rush to call you dropping everything else.

"Y/n! Y/n! Are you okay?" He'd ask searching your eyes, and he'd almost feel his own heart break seeing you so down. Being the affectionate person he is, he'd spread his arms wide for you to confide into him as you cry even harder. He'd hold you tighter as he'd feel your body shake from the amount of hurt you've endured. No, he won't ask you what's wrong, he'll just let you cry it all out, silently he won't even utter a single word and just hold you and run his fingers through your hair in a calming manner. He won't ask you because he knew you'd tell him yourself when you're ready.

And finally whe you do, he'd still hold you as you speak your mind out, he'd let you be vulnerable and catch you and would want to keep you safe. He would assure you that it will all be fine, that all this will ultimately lead to a greater good. When you'd be unsecure he'd tell you how well you've done in other things before and how he knows you'll get through this as well and he'd be right beside you to cheer you on.
