a few things i noticed and want to share about the mercury retrograde™

(im not a professional so these may be incorrect. i will utilize every piece of constructive criticism anyone may make to better myself after i whine about it in my diary)

1) ive observed that people who have many plantes (3+) natally in retrograde don't get too affected by retrogrades when they happen because they're used to that energy, if that makes sense. plus, i can confirm this myself as i have 4 planets in retrograde in my natal chart (for those who are curious, it's not fun)

2) i assume that we've all heard at some point that you shouldn't sign papers during a mercury retrograde and that's actually true. but have you ever wondered why? ive thought about this and ive come to this conclusion;

mercury rules communication in general, right? and writing is also a form of communication as it's.. well.. words. when mercury is in retrograde communication goes 'bleh' and misunderstandings happen. but another thing is you can misread or misinterpret a paper and sign it without actually understanding what it says. this could make a big mess if one's not careful so.. be careful lol

3) this is just an observation so take it with a grain of salt BUT people who were born during a mercury retrograde sometimes say the same things/apologize over and over again but other than that, they are really fun and easy going, at least in my experience

i must say, it's really nice to see people who are seeking to learn more about astrology even though they are skeptical about it.

well, i am from a non English speaking country so almost all the resources i used were in my native language and unless you speak turkish, i won't be able to help you.

but ive heard that many people consider "the stars within you" by juliana mc carthy as a good resource for both beginners and advanced astrologers so you might want to check it out.

other than books, the astrology community on tumblr is generally quite trustworthy and honest so you can read posts about specific things you might be curious about, such as planets or aspects etc.

° people who have pisces and gemini placements (especially in their big 3) may deal with health issues when they're young/still in school

° taurus suns are loved by the most but there are always some people who hate/bully them at some point in their lives

° if you have a planet/angle on 0 degree you probably resonate with it's energy but you might have trouble expressing it just the way you want to

° sagittarius venus/mars with aquarian energy may make someone drawn to "weird" people or outcasts. this is generally because they're curious about them and their story

° people who have capricorn and leo energy in their chart are competitive and driven but they have issues with self esteem and they have a hard time letting people/things go

° sagittarius placements may joke about their emotional/mental issues or make really dark jokes in public to cope with their problems

° people who have challenging uranus-mars or uranus-ascendant aspects might like "experimenting" with their bodies to see their limits. this could also manifest as someone who likes extreme sports

° chiron in capricorn + harsh aspects to the sun may make a person really struggle with figuring out their identity and purpose in their early years but once they take on that challenge they become a really powerful and compassionate person with amazing leadership skills

° 3rd house placements with fire energy in big 3 could make someone really funny and charismatic but oblivious to social cues and/or feelings
