I Just Remembered Something, So Annabeths Ankle Was Still Broken When She Went Into Tartarus Right? Like
I just remembered something, so annabeths ankle was still broken when she went into Tartarus right? Like yes it was healing but it still hurt a lot and Arachne being attached to it + falling into Tartarus definitely didn’t help, and we see in house of hades that she occasionally feels ankle pain even with her ankle healed, so that means the ankle probably didn’t heal completely/properly causing her to still suffer from ankle pain long after leaving Tartarus, idrk how to transition from that into what I was gonna say but basically I was thinking that since she has ankle pain and probably will for a while if not the rest of her life I propose: cane user annabeth, I think it’d be cool to kinda show how the mark of Athena quest + falling into Tartarus affected her in the long run by having her use a cane to alleviate some of the pain in her ankle
Sorry if this is kinda rambly I’m tired

Info: Percy, Grover, and Rachel are the nature trio because canonically, their main ambitions and hobbies revolve around saving/respecting the environment, saving wildlife, saving sealife, saving endangered species and activism.
Edit: option 4 is Percy, Nico and Thalia, I made a typo.
Sometimes I read a book and get more excited about the fanfics than I do about the canon material
headcanon that percy's most reoccurring nightmare about tartarus is the one where he loses annabeth to the pit. the one where he trips over the rogue lace of his left shoe and misses her fingers by centimeters. the one where his hands get clammy due to nerves and she slips out of his grasp. the one where they descend over the cliff together but he isn't strong enough to hold the weight of arachne. the one where she uses her knife to slice his palm and catch him off-guard so she can wiggle free. and the one where she's bleeding from the wound on her head. begging him not to tamper with fate. to let the prophecy play out. and a silent conversation passes between them. an 'i love you' and 'goodbye' in the same breath. and he stares into her eyes for what he knows is the last time and lets go. the one where he has to watch annabeth sacrifice herself to save the world.
If I had a nickel for every time Odysseus's crew experienced a mass casualty event due to killing an animal friend of a being with a powerful Godly father, and that God showing up to teach Odysseus a lesson of some kind before decimating his crew, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but holy shit is it unfortunate for the crew that it happened twice
