Two Weeks Of Whump Day 6: Gunshot Wound

Two Weeks of Whump Day 6: Gunshot Wound

Fandom: Spider-verse

Summary: After a late night villain attack, Jefferson and Miles meets unexpectedly in the building.

Miles looked at the time, 1am. "Why can't villains attack the city at more convenient times?" he muttered to himself. Grabbing his suit he slipped his PJs off. Ganke stirred as Miles opened the window.

"Off to save the city? We have a test tomorrow." He mumbled

"You know it. I'm sure it'll be fine."

    "Good luck."

"Thanks." Miles crawled out the window and attached a web to a nearby building. He pushed his feet against the wall and was off.

The fight against the villain wasn't long. Miles webber her up and got ready to go back to the dorms.

Though it might not have been a long fight it wasn't without property damage. No fight was really a fight without a form of property damage. It was one of the reasons Spider-Man was a controversial person. That and the baby powder.

As he walked towards a window so he could get out of there he heard a familiar voice behind him, "freeze, Spider-Man."

Oh great. "Mr. Morales" Miles replied turning around. He was pointing a gun at him. "Woah" Miles jumped back startled, "isn't that reserved for the bad guys?"

    "You killed an innocent."

"Where did you hear that?" Miles's heart raced. He most certainly did not kill anyone.

"My brother, Aaron Davis. For the past year and a half I can't stop thinking about it. You were there."

"No you must be mistaken. I've never killed anyone. Mr. Davis was a good man-" Miles's fake accent began to slip. It had been so long now and they had been working together for just about the whole time he had been Spider-Man.

    "Put your hands up."

Miles complied. "There's no need for the gun."

"I'm bringing you in for the murder of my brother."

Spider sense. Miles turned his head to see that the villain from earlier had escaped. He turned quickly to take care of her. The quick movement gave Jefferson a reason to shoot.

Miles hadn't thought about it when he moved. When he heard the gun go off he assumed that his dad had shot at the villain. No. He didn't know until he watched the villain leave.

Warm liquid ran down his leg. "What?" He whispered to himself. Looking down he realized what had happened. His father had shot him. The pain hit like the bullet that had just ripped through his side.

Spider-Man collapsed to the ground. He pressed his right hand against the wound while the other pulled his mask off. He used it as a form of cloth to help with the blood. "Did you really think I killed uncle Aaron?! I was there! It was Kingpin!"

Jefferson started at his son, now on the ground. He'd shot him. "oh God." He ran over to him and fell to his knees to help.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Miles screamed.

Jefferson jumped back before speaking, "don't talk to me like that." He realized how stupid it sounded as the words left his mouth.

"You shot me!" The teen tried to move back but couldn't.

"I'm sorry! Miles, just let me help you!"

Miles thought back to everything that had happened in the last month. Everything Miguel had put him though just because he wanted to save his father. For a brief second he wished he hadn't. That thought was quickly replaced by a wave of hatred for his own mind.

"Stay away." Miles voice was weaker this time. He didn't yell. The betrayal that laced every word, every movement made Jefferson feel as if he had been shot himself.

"10-52 Spider-Man has been shot " Jefferson radioed in.

"Stay with me Miles." He reached to hold pressure on the wound and this time Miles accepted the help.

"My identity." Miles tried to move out from where he was.

    "It'll be okay."

    "What's that location Sir?"

Miles listens as Mr. Morales states the information to the operater. He reached for his gizmo. Miguel had given him one once he realized his mistake. Miles took it because he might not like Miguel but he wanted to help and he wanted to see his friends. He and Miguel were getting to a point where they both understood what had happened and why and realized it was better to forgive rather then to hold it against each other.

"Hobie?" He turned the watch on, "i've been shot, where's Spidey Doc?"

Hobie responded quickly. "Let me get in contact with him, where are you?" He asked frantically.

    "Who's that?" Jefferson asked.

"A friend" Miles whispered. He sent his coordinates to Hobie and before he could say anything else Hobie was there.

"I'm here" he walked over quickly, "Spidey Doc should be on the way."

Jefferson looked up at Hobie before he was shoved by him. Hobie took his place and put pressure on Miles's side. Stunned he didn't do anything

Everything moved too quickly for Jefferson to keep up. Another portal opened and now there was another spider person in the room?

The hero was dressed in a similar fashion to his son but in light blue and light green. Hobie stood quickly and the hero took his place. Jefferson tried to get to Miles but was stopped by Hobie. "you're his dad right?" He asked.

"Yes and who are you punk!?" Mr. Morales yelled.

"I'm Miles's friend Hobie" he spoke calmly, "that's Spidey Doc, he'll take care of Miles."

"I need to take him back to HQ."

    "Okay."

"Is that okay with you Miles?" The doctor asked.

    Miles nodded.

Before Jefferson could say anything the doctor had picked up his son and started to walk towards a portal. "Wait where are you taking him?!"

Hobie grabbed Jefferson and stopped him from moving forward. "He'll take good care of him."

"Wait! Miles!" Jefferson tried to get away from Hobie.

As the portal closed Hobie released the chef. "What happened?"

    "You don't need to know!"

"Miles is my friend! What happened to him."

When Jefferson didn't answer Hobie knew. "Good job. He'll be fine, just hope you don't lose him after this."

Jefferson just stared at Hobie. "What now?" He asked.

"You hope he forgives you. He probably will, he's very forgiving. After that you hope that you didn't just mess up one of the sweetest kids I know. But above all else you admit what you did was wrong and give him time."

"Okay." And that's what he did. He waited and talked to Miles, apologizing over and over again. Miles could never hate his father. The two's relationship grew stronger, no longer being built on lies.

Whumpril Day 27: Stepped On

Fandom: Star Wars The Clone Wars

Warnings: Violence and major character death

Summary: Cody had a run in with General Grievous.

When Commander Cody saw General Grievous he knew things were about to go down hill and fast. His general hasn't been there and the clones by themselves couldn't really do much against him. He ordered a retreat. What else could he really do?

This didn't spare his men. One by one the small group was killed off. With Cody the last one standing he backed himself into a corner. He shot at the Separatist but of course it couldn't help him.

Grievous grabbed him and forced him to the ground. Helplessly Cody looked up at the cyborg. He stepped on the clone, tightening his foot around his body. Cody couldn't breathe. The metal started penetrating his armor then skin. He felt something breaking. Tears welled in his eyes from the pain.

Obi-wan entered the hallway. His heart felt like it stopped when he saw the scene in front of him. He retched his arm out and stopped the attack with the force.

As gently as he could he pulled Grievous from his commander. He pushed him into a nearby wall and ran to the clones side. "Cody. Hold on, okay?"

The Jedi removed the chest plate from the other tenderly. Then he grabbed his cape and pressed it into the injuries. He grabbed Cody's arms and pressed them against the wounds. "Try to hold that for me dear."

Kenobi stood. He ignited his lightsaber and walked towards Grievous. The two engaged in a duel and before long Grievous would retreat.

Cody struggled to stay awake. He was in pain and still couldn't breathe well. The force from the man felt like it would be the end of him.

After the dual Obi-wan quickly moved back to Cody. He gently picked him up and took him to Wooly. "He needs help." The Jedi's voice was shaky.

Wooly grabbed him. He set him down quickly. He pressed two fingers to the commander's neck. Nothing. That can't be right.

Wooly checked again. Nothing. He felt colder than normal. The clone looked up to his general. He had tears in his eyes. "How is he?"

"Sir. He's gone." Wooly motioned to Cody's body and two soldiers came to move him.

"That can't be right. He's gonna be fine." Obi-wan spoke.

"General, I'm sorry." Wooly knew that the two were close but he didn't expect denial.

"Are they going to help him?" Obi-wan asked when the two soldiers took Cody away.

"Yeah, they will help him." Should Wooly have lied, no. But they needed their general. It wasn't ideal but if Wooly kept on pushing then he would crush the jedi. Huh ironic.

Whumpril Day 24: Secret/"What Have You Done?"

Fandom: Star Wars The Clone Wars

Warning: Violence

Note: I started this before finishing the Umbara arc. I was like half way though and thought of this. Also a patella is your kneecap.

Summary: Kix has some feelings about Obi-wan after Umbara.

Obi-wan stood in the hall. He was waiting for Anakin to join him. The two were going to talk about what had happened on Umbra. They needed to know how to better help their men deal with what they had done. He saw Kix and waved friendly.

Kix walked quickly. He walked up to the general and grabbed him by the neck. "It's your fault." Then he just started hitting him. Obi-wan refused to hit him back. He pulled at the hand around his throat. With his other arm he tried to stop the clone from injuring him further. "How did you not know? Couldn't you sense it?" He yelled.

Obi-wan tried to talk to Kix. He tried to apologize and to explain how he wished he could have and how he never thought something like that was possible; at least not from a jedi.

Kix didn't stop. He knew all the spots to hit someone to leave them helpless. He kicked Obi-wan's knee in the right spot with the right amount of pressure and broke his Patella. He yelled and was pushed to the ground.

Then the clone kicked Kenobi in the head. It started bleeding. He was bleeding and in pain and scared and betrayed but he couldn't find it in himself to be angry. The man was beating him, with what seemed to be no attempt to stop, but at this point there wasn't much he could do to stop him.

With one more hit, he stopped. Kix took a few steps back and stared at the Jedi. Hate laced the clones eyes still; as if he wanted to continue. The hallway was silent.

After a few seconds; that felt like minutes, a set of footsteps could be heard. Fives turned the corner then ran to meet the two. For a moment he didn't realize what had happened. Then he saw his brother's hands. "Kix, what have you done?" He half yelled his question.

"I gave him what he deserved. He was there, he should have known."

"Kix, your job is to heal people not break them!" Fives sighed, "your just looking for someone to blaim. He couldn't have known and you know that."

Kix looked down at his work. The anger faded as he realized what he'd done. "Oh god."

    "There it is."

"We need to get him to the med bay." Kix came to his senses.

"You know you're done, right? After this you're locked up for quite some time."

    Kix looked at Fives.

"You should have thought about that before you beat the shit out of the general."

Obi-wan started trying to get up. Fives kneeled down to him, "general, rest."

He gave a small nod and laid on the floor. "Fives" Kenobi stuttered.

    "Yeah?"

"Lie. I understand." Pain filled his voice but a jedi's compassion always prevails.

    "What?" Kix asked.

    "It wasn't you" Obi-wan strained.

"But who? We can't just frame someone." Fives grabbed the general and picked him up.

"I don't" he hissed at the pain, "remember."

"I think I understand what you're saying." Fives said. He explained his plan to Kix on the way.

Half way there the Jedi went limp in Fives arms. He noticed but there wasn't much he could do. When the two arrived at the medical center they explained their story. "We found him outside. He said he couldn't remember what happened. He had tried to get back to the temple, said it was the closest medical center."

The two were asked questions and despite the 501st being terrible liars they got by. Fives explained the story to Obi-wan before they asked him for his story and he matched the it perfectly.

When he was released from the medical ward Kix approached him. "Why?"

    "What?" He asked.

"Why did you lie? Why didn't you tell them? Why?"

"Anger" Obi-wan sighed, "clouds your judgment. It takes control. You're not violent and you got pushed over the edge. Don't do anything like this again and we should be fine. It'll be our secret."

    "Yes Sir." Kix saluted him.

Obi-wan pulled his arm down and gave the soldier a hug, "it's going to be okay Kix."

Kix returned the hug. It felt nice. Now he just had to hope the secret of what he had happened didn't become too much. Obi-wan was a nice man who didn't deserve what he'd done. He didn't deserve the general's forgiveness. He understood that the jedi would have to suffer on silents.

Two Weeks of Whump Day 3: Alcohol

Fandom: Across the Spider-verse

Summary: After a difficult day as Spiderman, Miles gets a hold of alcohol. Not knowing how to cope he drinks some and ends up drunk.

Jefferson Morales thought that this Thursday night would be the same as any other. Boy was he wrong. As he walked back to his police car, ready to get back to the station so he could home to his wife and son, he noticed Spider-Man jumping from one building to another.

Trouble always seemed to follow Spider-Man wherever he went. He sighed and shook his head. As he started to turn back to his car the superhero stumbled and fell into an alley. Jefferson ran towards the alley to check on the hero.

It was dark, light falling in the alley from the moon and street lights. A figure raised from the ground and chuckled. "Spiderman, are you okay?"

"Oh!" Mile's head jerked to face the officer, "hiiii" he laughed.

'Okay?', Jefferson thought. He walked closer to Spider-Man. The smell of... alcohol? on him. "Are you alright? You took quite a fall."

"Ohhh yeah, I'm fineeeee. Don't worry about it." Miles slurred his speech and stumbled as he walked towards the building had jumped off of and tried to climb the wall.

"Are you drunk?" Mr. Morales asked concerned. For the first time he realized just how small and vulnerable he was. He also noticed that his voice sounded eerily similar to his sons.

"Pfft nooo" he sounded both unsure and strangely confident. "What gave you that idea?"

"Are you, over 21?" Now Jefferson started to question the hero in front of him. He always assumed that Spider-Man had to be of drinking age or at least an adult but something about the kid in front of him told him otherwise.

"Haha yeah" Miles stared at his father for a moment. He looked concerned and confused.

    "Are you sure?"

He looked at his father and felt tears gather in his eyes. Maybe he should tell him the truth. No one knew who he was underneath the mask what harm to come from telling someone he trusted his problems. His father was stern but kind and a safe person.

"Sir" Miles voice broke, "I'm underaged. I'm a teenager."

Jefferson's heart broke. Something about the child in front of him told him this wasn't a dumb mistake with friends but an attempt to erase pain.

"It's just that being Spider-Man is hard and quite frankly traumatizing" he chuckled then it turned into a sob, "I've been so alone since my friends left. There's no one I can talk to and I thought for just a minute maybe it would help. Maybe I could forget everything, wash it down my throat and be a teenager for a minute. My parents are going to kill me if they find out."

    "Oh."

"I'm scared, I can't balance school, my family, and saving the city without letting someone down and I'm pretty sure my parents think I'm just flaky or irresponsible. I don't want to disappoint them and I don't want to disappoint the city. I don't know what I'm doing and I got Peter Parker killed."

    "Hey, it's okay. Breathe."

Miles slowly sat on the ground. Jefferson kneeled down beside him. "I know one thing, you're not disappointing the city."

"Good to know. Are you proud of me?"

The question took Jefferson off guard. Why would Spider-Man care if he was proud of him. "Of course."

This made Miles cry harder. Hearing his father say that he was proud was what he needed. He grabbed the man in his arms around him, scrunching the other shirt in his fist, and just cried.

After a while he let go and apologized. "It's okay. Next time don't go out drinking. I'll let this slide just this once. Go home, drink some water, and go to bed. Let us worry about the city for the night."

"Okay." Miles stood and walked towards the wall again.

"Spider-Man, maybe you should just walk."

"Your probably right." Miles walked into the sidewalk and started to walk home.

Jefferson walked back to his car. He radioed in that he was on his way back. On his way he thought about Spider-Man. He never thought he would see him like that. He was just a scared and alone little kid who didn't know how else to deal with the trauma of trying to protect an entire city. Not only that he was a student and a son.

He worried about his own son. Have they been too hard on him? Did he feel loved and appreciated? Did he think that they were disappointed or thought he was irresponsible?

Miles crawled into his bedroom and changed from his spider suit to some comfortable pajamas. He walked to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of water. He got just not too and then walked back to his room.

Jefferson opened the door and placed his keys on the counter. He took off his shoes and walked to the kitchen. The cabinet was open. He sighed and closed it after grabbing a cup for water. He warmed up some leftovers and ate them at the table.

Before Mr. Morales went to bed, he opened the door of his son's room. "Miles?" He wasn't supposed to be there but in his dorm at school. Something seemed off.

Miles didn't move and thought maybe he could just explain in the morning that he was having a rough night and had come home. That way he wouldn't notice the smell of alcohol when he spoke to his father. It worked.

Jefferson just smiled and sighed. He would just have to ask in the morning. "Sleep tight Miles, I love you."

Miles smiled. And as the door closed he started to fall asleep. He knew he'd have a horrible headache in the morning and wouldn't want to get up and part of him just wanted to lie and ask to stay home. Washing his feelings down didn't work. It wasn't worth it in the end. Instead his father had to see him at one of his lowest points.

He fell asleep and wasn't woken up in the morning. Instead he got to sleep in and Jefferson decided to take him out for the day. He wasn't sure what was going on with Spider-Man but he could make sure that his son didn't feel that way and he was bound and determined to do so. Maybe one day he can figure out how to help the hero who helped the city so much.

Codywan Week Day 2: Totioone Husbands

Summary: A day in the life of Codywan.

Notes: The Mando'a used: Ret' (see you/bye) and Cyare (beloved/loved)

Cody awoke to the sound of clinking cups and a plate being set on a wooden table. This was an everyday thing, and just like everyday he pretended to still be asleep.

Obi-wan walked over to the bed and gently shook Cody awake. He smiled and got up, "good morning cyare" he said. He placed a hand on the others face and kissed him.

"Good morning" Obi-wan repeated. He smiled softly, "I made breakfast."

"You always do" Cody chuckled. He stood up and walked over to the table they built with some wood they had found from an old carrier that had crashed in the sand.

Milk and eggs with some kind of bread were on the table. Obi-wan pulled the chair Cody would be sitting in, out and pushed it back in after he sat down.

They talked very little as they are but it was a conferable silence. Afterwards Obi-wan got ready for work and Cody prepared to go into town to meet with his employer for his next bounty. Neither were fond of Cody's job but he was good at it and they needed the credits.

"Ret' cyare" Obi-wan spoke. It always made Cody smile when he spoke Mando'a. It was a nice gesture, wanting to understand and use his language.

"See you when I get back." They kissed and went their separate ways for the day.

Cody would be back before Obi-wan. The mission he would be taking was set for the next morning. He didn't like being away for his Jedi for very long but he needed to be. It was nice to get off Tatooine sometimes.

However he did grab something from the market for Obi-wan. New boots. He hadn't gotten any sense the fall of the Republic eight years ago. His old ones were falling apart, being held together by some sticky stuff Owen had given him.

They were brown just like Obi-wan's old ones. The boots had a mid calf cut, real Jedi like. He grabbed the few sets of robes Obi-wan owned and sewed them up.

Obi-wan got home as Cody was cleaning his gun. He smiled and treated his 'husband'. "How was work?"

"It was okay. How was your day?" Obi-wan sat down at the table as Cody went to grab something to start dinner.

"It was alright. I got something for you." Cody pulled the boots from behind the bed. "I figured you'd like them. Try them on." He brought them over to the table.

Obi-wan smiled. "Thank you Cody." He put them on. "They fit well." He stood up and walked around a little. "That feels so much better." Hugging Cody tight he started to tickle him a little.

The clones laugh was so nice. Obi-wan barely ever heard it. They laughed as they fell onto the bed and laughed even harder when Obi-wan fell on to the floor.

Once their laughing fit was over Obi-wan gave Cody a long kiss and walked to the kitchen to start something for dinner.

The clone followed the other to the kitchen and stayed with him as he made dinner. The sunset brought brilliant colors into the room. Maybe this wasn't the worst way to live.
