Let's talk about Spacetoons Mineta...
Spacetoons is an arabic channel that semi-recently dubbed MHA. Some may call it "Arabic 4kids," but as someone who watched a substantial amount of shows in a 4Kids dub. (namely SonicX), that's not a fair comparison. The only 4 kids dub I actually enjoyed was that of "Kirby: Right back at ya"
Anyway, the BokuNometaAcademia sub brought to my attention the way that Mineta is written here. I have always hated how Hori used Mineta to live out his weird fantasies. The inclusion of Mineta's "comedy" turned a lot of people, me included off and honestly, why wouldn't it.
Spacetoons is more child-tuned so they did a lot of censorship, for example, look what they did to Momo
(They also greatly improved her character)
You may be asking, "What did they do with Mineta?" Valid question considering 70% of his character is horny jokes. Well, the completely removed the perv aspect and made him a loveable kid who wants to fight his insecurities and be great hero.....
I have always said it, Mineta holds some great potential. His moment during the USJ arc was a great stepping stone for some great character growth. The idea of a coward pushing to become a true hero is so different from the norm, but as we know, when it comes to MHA, potential don' get used.
From what I hear from spacetooneta, he is actually really likeable. He is so different from Canoneta that people mistaken him for a girl. The scenes where he is being pervy are either edited out completely or altered convincingly.
They changed the scene from season 3's filler episode so that the context is as follows:
Kaminari and Mineta want to goof off at the pool
Mineta has overheard that the girls have booked the pool too
They convince Izuku to come w/them so that they can get there before the girls
Izuku invites Tenya and the others and Tenya makes them train instead of goofing off
The girls are here, goofing off while they have to train
The most nuts part is that viewers of that dub absolutely LOVE HIM. He suprassed Bakugou in popularity even. This shows that Hori could have made one of the most loveable characters in Shounen. Think about it, his design is already cute, just slap a cute personality on and everyone would love him. But no, he had to be a creepy perv.
Canon Mineta sucks man
I love how before his official hero costume is revealed, everyone knew that Shinsou’s costume is gonna be black and purple (with a hint of white from the scarf).

Before we begin, I have a words to say, especially if you're a beginner artist reading this. There is nothing wrong with your art style. Art styles evolve and change, they can be inconsistent and wonky, all of this is normal. We're all hypercritical of our art and its artstyle, however if you're genuinely unhappy with it, there are things you can do! Study your favorite artists and look at how they draw, watch speedpaintings and find what's best for you. The internet is full of resources, if you need help finding anything, you can DM me or send me an ask to give you recommendations!
That being said, let's begin!
How to draw in the Naruto art style, aka like Kishimoto
The artstyle of Naruto changes a lot throughout the series, I'm gonna show some characteristics of the mid to early shippuden style we know and love.
Stylization, like many things, exists on a spectrum. Most anime are between the second and the third image, however there's a broad variety of anime styles. With the Naruto art style, there's this phenomena of the faces being rather realistic, and the hair being very stylized.
The eyes
The eyes of most Naruto characters have the edge sitting higher than where the hypothetical tear duct is. Pupils, if present, are part of the lineart and therefore, pitch black. The irises are very round, almost circular. The eyes themselves do not have many details, as the eyelashes can often be counted on one finger. Compared to the other parts of the face, line weight also plays an important role in how the end results looks. I suggest playing around with your pen pressure settings and/or getting a brush ink pen. (I'm not getting paid) this is the one I use.
The nose
Minimalism is the best way to describe the way noses are drawn in Naruto. If they're drawn from the front view, it's just nostrils. The diversity of nose shapes in Naruto is not very high, unfortunately. Same goes for
The lips
When drawing the lips, you do not need to add many details. Unless the character is wearing lipstick, only the lower lip is drawn, and lips in Naruto all have pretty much the same shape and fullness.
The hair
The hair in Naruto is all heavily styled. Individual strands of hair are combined into thicker "hair bundles". If the hair is short, it can also be drawn in a spiky shape.
The headshape
The general headshape of Naruto characters is almost always the same, across ages and genders. It's characterized by a round forehead and pointy chin, followed by a slender neck.
The eyebrows
(The eye you can see there is in my own drawing style) Naruto eyebrows are thin and very straight. When the character is wearing a headband, more than half of it is covered.
General things
Reference is key. Always use references, even when drawing an OC, until you have built a large mental library of how to draw your character. Find a character from Naruto that has a similar eye shape to your character, and use that. Useful for that are screenshots from the series or reference sheets.

Am I the only one liked the fillers on Naruto? Like, I don’t care that they interrupt the story. At least they gave some underused characters more depth (COUGH TENTEN KURENAI SHINO AND KIBA COUGH). Plus, it gives us more time to like breathe from twists and important events left and right.

Like when we see Naruto in its first chapters Sakura is not very likeable. I can hear the anti sakura fans saying "ah but Sakura said mean things about orphans"
Which yes she said this. Yes that is uncalled for but the difference here is....how her words come from a place of ignorance than malice.
Please! Not excusing here. Just explaining.
Sakura had 12 years old and sees Naruto- who does everything to gain attention- free as a bird and think that is the good side of being an orphan.
Again. It was all from ignorance. But one thing the scene paints and no one talks about is how...Sakura doesnt know anything about Sasuke....who is also an orphan.
🤨 if you crush on someone ...and dont know thay said crush is orphan...what that tells you?
And I want to point out how she did changed after that. "Ah. But she still doesnt want to date naruto" " ah but she did all that for sasuke"
1) she is not obligated to date him.
2) Naruto did pass as Sasuke using a jutso and gain a kiss from Sakura....so that is ok?
3) Sakura does treat him better but she is not obligated to date him and he always asks her out even when she makes clear she likes sasuke.
4) she never again said or did anything like that.
You can say Sakura has flaws. You can say her love for Sasuke is not great but you can't say she is like Bakugou.
She is willingly to work with others. Doesnt care about winning or be the strongest. Has flaws, has strenghts and is a good character.
Now.....Bakugou.
It doesn't matter if you read a fic where Bakugou donate a liver for Izuku to live. In canon, Bakugou is a horrible character.
Remember when I mentioned how Sakura made that orphan comment? It wasnt nice but it was out of ignorance ....
Bakugou suicide bait Izuku with 100% malice and intention. And shows no remorse (unlike Sakura who did show remorse) and contonies to be awful to Izuku.
And he doesn't changes through those 300 chapters.
Bakugou has no remorse. Bakugou makes an half assed apology trying to save his face...he shows no remorse ...and has tried to kill Izuku 2 times (maybe 3 if we count those little scenes. I rememeber one where Baku throws a snowball at Izuku...with glue or smth...TOO HURT and its implied he would do again...AND IZUKU WAS BLEEDING)
And if any bk stan is seeing this and think sakura is worse bc "huh she beat naruto for being a perv"
It is comedy. One I dont like but here the think...Naruto on the next scene is 100% fine. Izuku is not.
So I can say Bakugou is much worse.
