It didn't matter if he followed every rumor of a vampire, no matter how abstract, or that he felt more comfortable in graveyards than anywhere else despite necrophages and other undead, not even the fact he carried Mandrake and Mandrake Cordial with him no matter what. Maybe he was desperate, he wouldn't be surprised. He knew he had lost something incredibly important.

He wondered what had taken him so long to reach Toussaint, the land of wine and vampires. Maybe it was the memories of his Hansa he missed, he lost. Maybe he feared his vampire was really gone. Yet he ended up being roped into going to Toussaint and into a contract he didn't want. He rarely fought vampires unless they attacked first.

Geralt: I'd let you drink from me

Regis: I don't drink any longer
