Trying to use astrology to predict longetivity and death of someone. This is really controversial and hard to predict. Perhaps someone with gifted intuition can predict something like this but using just astrology is not a good idea. Astrology cannot tell how long someone will live or when they will die. For eg, contrary to popular belief that saturn in 8th house gives very long life, i have seen many natives passing in their middle ages. Similarly, all inner planets in 8th house have reputation of giving long lives but this is not the case. Sigmund Freud with moon in 8th house taurus died at 83 while Steve Jobs with moon in 8th house pisces died at 56. It was truly my mistake to use astrology for such taboo thing and to try to become God. In Vimshottari dasha chart, a lot of times such mahadasha, antardasha align that may generate paranoia that the native may pass away in that time period but no it doesnt work like that in every time period. In hindsight, when the native has already passed, perhaps it is possible to see in which time period they did pass and attribute that to it but it is risk of cognitive bias and there is no mental work involved. So, i think that it is very hard if not impossible to predict death from astrology. Anyway astrology must not be used for such sadistic purposes. Make the most out of each day you have. No person born will go back alive. One famous astrologer in India Bejan Daruwala passed away in corona period when he himself was doing predictions on corona. How ironic! I have seen astrologers predicting that such person will be alive for next 5 years and it is just a bad time period currently, but the native passed away within one month only. This kind of thing breaks my faith in astro and also makes the whole thing rather scary. I promised myself not to do something like this again in my astro studies. I refrain from doing death predictions.

Trying to read zodiac sign predictions to predict what will hapoen in coming month, year. This was when i was new to astro. I was born in June so my zodiac is Gemini. I used to read Gemini predictions for the coming month and year on random astro websites and blindly trusted it too. I remember preparing for exam and reading prediction that coming month will be good for students blah blah.. guess what? I failed that exam. This was rather stupid thing to do and i totally deserved what i got. 12 zodiac signs is not real astrology. Real astrology is the birth chart, time period of planets, perhaps tarot is also linked to it. But pop astrology and predictions are pure gibberish and commercial money making business. If you want to know how your coming week or month or year will be, take out your birth chart, use a reputed website to create vimshottari dasha chart, take out tarot and use your own energy and mind to come up with possible predictions. It also helps to keep a journal of each planetary time period and what happened during that time in your life so that in future you can use that journal to come up with probably future telling for your personal life path. Trying to predict fortune and success from astro alone is again a gamble. You have to trust in your skills and knowledge and practice. Dont repeat the mistake i did of blindly relying on astro to know my exam result.

Zodiac sign compatibility. This is funny but i used to see the birthday of my crush and match his zodiac sign with mine, read random gibberish on websites and thought "nah, we are not compatible, or nah i dont like this zodiac sign, or nah this zodiac sign is too superficial for me.." Couple astrology is only done with birth charts and nothing else. It takes mental effort to match compatibility. On top of that, friendship, values, personalities and willingness to be in relationship are all factors that are not within your control. You can also not tell when someone is being deceptive, lying, faking until you learn people skills and to read personalities. There is just no shortcuts in relationships.

Consuming a lot of youtube content to know astrology. Astrology has basic foundation that you can read in book and some trustworthy websites. There is nothing else to know. Watching random videos for short term gratification and sembalance that i am learning something or being productive is just not it. Astrology is personal tool. Everybody will have different language to say the same thing. Once you have read the basics, have trust in it and do not change your foundation just because someone else said so.

Astrology should not be put on a pedestal. Astrology is valid and gives answers to questions of life but it is just that - a tool, a subject, a field of knowledge. Dont make it your whole life. Dont worship it. Dont make it your whole personality. Dont use it too much that you lose your sanity. Life is meant to live not to figure out. The more you figure out, the more you will see how much is unknown and yet to be explored. You dont have enough years in your life to explore everything that is unconscious.

The only person you need to look up to is yourself. If you cannot tell the answers, i doubt anyone else can. I use to spend a lot of time watching oracle live streams, using random websites of psychics. Use your judgment to discern between money making business and genuine knowledge. Occult world is not devoid of sociopaths who simply want to make money at someone else's expense and being the nature of occult so abstract, it is easy to exploit people in terms of relationship issues, career issues, mental health issues, health issues. We cannot even blame the victim because in that vulnerable time period they are looking at all possible options to fix their problems. We learn from our mistakes only.

Life lessons I have learned so far:

You are not supposed to connect with everyone. You are not supposed to befriend everyone. You dont like everyone, not everyone will like you.

Build strong sense of self. Be mentally and emotionally strong. I personally use Stoicism for the tools to manage my life. If you are a water dominant native, dont exist without emotional shield.

Humans work on a pattern. Identify the pattern, predict the reaction, it is easy to read people once you know how people think and feel.

You do need a little bit of external validation, external approval, narcissism. I isolate myself out of fear that I will be hurt emotionally, but i cannot live in isolation. I have to put myswlf out there. This is important for my spiritual growth.

Toxic people are everywhere. Accept this and move on with your life, albeit you become toxic yourself. If you always gossip about toxic people, whats the difference between you and them?

Have courage to assert boundaries. Have self confidence. Toxic people run a mile from you when they see they cannot influence you, you are not gullible, you wont buy their bullshit. It is as simple as that.

Do not be doormat. If you have trauma, take your time to heal it. Unhealed trauma is invitation letter to emotional predators. They can sniff it from your energy and vibes that you are vulnerable.

Forgiveness is powerful. It cuts the cords between you and your abuser. It is not my task to punish or teach lessons to bad people. It is God's work. Dont take system in your hands.

For all my trauma survivors, put a plug into your trauma wounds. Dont leave your wounds in open. If you do, predators will leech off you and you wont even realize. I picture a traumatized person like someone with nails buried in their chest. Healing means to take out each nail, let the blood and pus flow out, feel the pain and shame it brings, start healing those wounds and finally put some wax on those remaining holes. Do not expose your wounds otherwise more bad people will spot them and use them to hurt you.

Finally, create a life for yourself. I ruminated a lot on how bad people work. I delved into victim mentality until it got boring. It was much more fun to build a new life for myself and my loved ones. Build a new way of life. Build a new identity. This is the gift of venus in 8th house. To create a new lifestyle. To settle after storm.

Venus in 8th house & relationship trauma

There is a lot of intense energy looking for an outlet. If not romance, she will direct this energy in spirituality. But before she will know her spiritual gifts, she will go through relationship trauma.

It can be seen that the most traumatizing lovers were similar to each other. I met the first one at age 13 and next one at 21. Both were similar in appearance & life identity. The first one ruined my teenage years. The last one gave me mental breakdown. Both these "lovers" were the most traumatizing points in my life. I was OBSESSED with both of them. Both were "secretive" and I met them in dark ways suddenly without warning. Both were predatory and manipulative. I idolized them both and put them on a pedestal. I did a lot of ego massage & codependent wife like treatment.

In my mom's bloodline, there is history of mental issues and emotional chaos. When I was 13, I hardly knew anything about life. But when I was 21, my life had evolved and I had a career, family life, hobbies. But I was infantile in the sense that I was impulsive and irrational. I could not stand being single and was OBSESSED with romantic relationships. This trauma was an opportunity to heal my generational trauma & psychological inheritance.

I unlearned all the default things I learned growing up. It was a complete rebirth in the sense of 8th house transformation. The source of my romance obsession was a deep need for self actualization and spirituality. It was a need for looking within and understanding "myself". I talk about "high value woman" but I automatically became a high value woman once I started self actualizing. I was more confident, more assertive, more stable, in control of my emotions, took time to read books, rationalized my feelings rather than be impulsive, analyzed my values, beliefs, character, flaws, failures, weaknesses. I know my insecurities and know how to handle them. It was a journey from a fucked up person to somewhat rational person. I still have my days of chaos but it gets managed.

This is what I suppose 8th house venus looks like. Self destruction and self development. However, is this the last time we go through this.......

Some thoughts on the 7th house placements:

i am reminded of something Barbara Bush (scorpio rising, sun and mercury in 7th house, venus and mars in 8th house, moon and jupiter in second house) once said. Barbara Bush said of the war in Iraq, 'Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?'

Barbara with seventh house sun was a true housewife. She is known for her marriage to Mr president. She was called the first lady and first mother. She had a long and successful marriage, albeit her husband's secret affair that made her very depressed. I recall reading an interview once where she said "i was so depressed that once while driving i thought i would lose control... i still wonder why didn't George leave me?" We hear that her husband never confirmed the affair and after many years of turmoil, they got back to their married life. This is what we see in media, news and gossip articles. But we being astro students can tell a lot more about behind the scenes and between the lines from reading their birth chart. I myself have scorpio rising and sun, mercury in 7th house so I was quite fascinated by Barbara Bush's story and life path.

7th house is the house of other people. It is not just the house of relationship but also the house of your shadow self. Everything you see in others but do not recognize in yourself. Others are a mirror to you because they show you things that you cannot see in yourself. If you are aware of the human psyche, you would know that how we perceive others is subjective. We project our own traits on others. This is how anima and animus projection works in men and women respectively when they think that their partner is all that exists in themselves. If your animus is undeveloped, you would be attracted to men who you think have the same personality as your animus regardless of the reality. Your undeveloped animus will also show itself as self esteem issues, not being able to accept those parts of yourself and not having a relationship with your own animus. This can be remedied with shadow work, active imagination, journaling, dream interpretation, psychoanalysis, constant self introspection. Carl Jung is an authority on these subject matter.

While 1st house placements show a definite impact of the planet in the personality of the person, 7th house placements show the same personality traits hidden in the shadow of the native. For eg, sun in 1st house is bold, confident, ego centric, self promoting, me first, self proclaimed king type who finds it hard to dim his own sunlight to see and introspect themselves because they are strongly identified with their ego and wonder why do other people not see them as the king they are? On the other hand, sun in 7th house gives all these personality traits in the shadow self. Ego, confidence, self assertiveness, boldness, me-first attitude, life of the party attitude is hidden in the shadow self. It is hidden from the physical eyes.

If you understand what i said above, i will come to the next point. Sometimes back in an astro observation, i said that "7th house sun are their own worst enemy because they sabotage themselves so much". Sun is vitality, it is the energy that gives us light and life, it is the yellow light of liveliness. In astro, it is father, ego, confidence, arrogance, boldness. It is the power that makes a rockstar who say "yes i am the best.." or a politician say "yes i am the best leader for this country.." It takes that ego to say that "I am the GOAT, i am the best.." That is Sun. You must have met many such people in your life who will proudly beat their own drums "I know i am the best. i know i am smart and confident and successful.." While Sun in 7th house is the exact opposite of it. Since their confidence and ego are repressed in their shadow self, what remains in front is the insecurities. Ego and insecurities go hand in hand. Someone with 1st house sun will have a big ego and insecurities in shadow. While someone with 7th house sun will have insecurities in front and ego in the shadow. I hope it is making sense. Since sun in 7th house gives a repressed ego, these natives are completely aware of their insecurities. They internalize the insecurities of other people as their own. They flinch when they see their insecurities in other people. They internalize the projection of insecurities in themselves. Since 7th house sun gives a shadowy ego, they dont know who they are unless they are surrounded by other people who work like their mirror. 7th house sun finds himself through other people, especially their identity, ego and confidence. They are also very attracted to confident, bold, dominating, arrogant people because they fulfill their own scarcity of ego. This is why they can be massive people pleasers because they are a sucker for confident people and lacking their own confidence, they are eager to please others to fulfill their need for self identity.

But this is not the case if they have 1st house placements as well. Barack Obama has 7th house sun but also has 1st house placements so he does not have an egomaniac personality but also has the triats of 1st house plcements. He appears quite "humble". Steve Jobs had 7th house sun with empty 1st house and he had a hidden ego. He must have been very damn aware of each of his insecurities. I see this in Jobs movie that he was very self critical (7th house sun) and visionary (8th house moon). Jobs also went to psychic healers to cure his cancer which is such an 8th house moon thing to do. BUT you guys should not follow in his footsteps. Serious disease like cancer needs mental intervention. Jobs did regret not going for surgery earlier because his cancer was curable but by the time he realized it, it was very late. He distributed "autobiography of a yogi" to his people before death so that sounds like something to think about.

I am reminded of an Indian astrologer P V Narasimha Rao (sun in 7th house, virgo rising, mercury, venus, mars, saturn in 8th house) who writes on his website the following. You can clearly see he has a fascination with sun since his own sun is in the 7th house which must give him a weakened ego.

Next i would like to talk about mercury in the 7th house. Contrary to popular belief that 7th house mercury are good speakers, charmer, socially intelligent, it is rather quite the opposite. Whatever goes into 7th house loses its properties into the shadow. Remember this rule. If mercury goes into 7th house, the personality traits of mercury go into the shadow. He is an awkward speaker and is painfully aware of how he eats a lot of his words in the shadow. He also internalizes the words of other people and risks becoming gullible and manipulable. Since his own street smartness and communication akills are hidden in the shadow self, he is attracted to people who are good with words with a sharp tongue to activate his own dormant traits. 7th house mercury is rather talkative and talks a lot with other people because it makes him aware of his own hidden intelligence, how else would he know who he is? Carl Jung had mercury in the 7th house and he is known to be a psychiatrist who was involved with many people.

More interestingly, Adolf Hitler had Sun Mercury Mars and Venus in 7th house in Aries sign. This is homework for you to think about his personality, motivations and what he did in his life.

Astrology Observations

I know when astrologers discuss manipulation, Scorpio is the first to come up. But Cancer Mars can easily take the spot of the most manipulative sign placement. If poorly aspected, cancer mars can possibly use their sweet nature to gaslight you (without even realizing it a lot of the time). I am a Libra mars and I got into a fight with a cancer mars a while back and... I do pride myself for being diplomatic especially when disagreeing with friends and they were being so mean to a mutual friend. So I was “hey you really need to stop like that’s not cool you’re making them upset.” and THEY STARTED BALLING their literal eyes out and made it about them… I was like??? I set a boundary with you?? They also had significant Aries placements and I never got to look deeper into their chart so I’m not sure why that was for them. This is an extreme example ofc, so this isn’t always the case for this placement. Cancer mars can just get really emotional when angry which I understand because I’m a cancer AC and I can cry when I get mad, not out of manipulation just like my feelings get too overwhelming or I might quite literally feel ashamed and be really hard on myself. Cancer mars is also really protective over the people they care about like Mama Bear level. They are a water sign though so they can just be moody and hold resentments/not fully express their feelings. Cancers in general are just like so cute though it’s hard to stay mad at them.

Maybe I’m biased, but I love water sign ACs. Like Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces AC are just look so dreamy. Especially Scorpio and Pisces like they just look like heart breakers in the best way. And a lot of times they are really nice! People are always so shocked by Scorpio AC too because they can seem really intimidating but then usually they want to talk about deep stuff with you and like really care about what you have to say. Of course this all depends on what is aspecting the AC, but I’ve had pretty good associations with water ACs.

A lot of people are super afraid of the 12H because of the potential problems that it can cause in the chart but the 12H is so cool! The 12H is ruled by Pisces, so I thought it fitting to talk about! This is the house of endings, but that’s not always a bad thing! Endings mean that you can make room for what better serves you. This house is also super helpful for finding out everything that could be hiding from you or eluding you. This means you can find your potential hidden enemies and having personal placements in the 12H can point to you being extremely intuitive or psychic. Just like Scorpio needs to master how to best control their passion which will unlock their power, Pisces/12H dominants just need to master their intuition so they can unlock their power of defeating deception.

Scorpio Moons get too much shit. It’s really time to stop perpetuating that narrative. Scorpio is just as weak in the Moon placement as Libra is in Mars. Everyone has challenges in their chart ppl! I’m sorry if you were ever slighted by a manipulative scorpio moon, I really am. But scorpio moons that have put in the work are so powerful, confident, and extremely accommodating and loyal to those that they give their love to. And I swear some of you will hate on scorpio moons while you have an 8th house moon or a poorly aspected moon yourself…
