Something That Really Sucks About Being Disabled Is Places Say That Theyre Accessible But They Arent.
Something that really sucks about being disabled is places say that they’re accessible but they aren’t.
I’ve been to places that claim to be accessible where
the ramp’s too steep
there are steps they didn’t mention because “it’s only two or three”
the doorways are too small
there aren’t any elevators to the top floor
the floor is too rough to easily push on
exhibits are displayed in ways that are impossible to see from a wheelchair
the doors don’t have a push button
tables/exhibits are put way too close together
the surrounding paths have no curbs
Without those things, it isn’t accessible. You can’t put a sloped piece of metal on your doorway and call that wheelchair friendly.

I know violence doesn’t solve problems but a little stabbing couldn’t hurt right?
Just a tiny bit?
A slightly aggressive poke?
Why is it that when you have a chronic illness everyone insists on making it about them and the inconvenience it causes them and not about the fact you have a lifelong disability?
I’ve been reading a lot of fix it fics and I just want to say that the first thing Aziraphale and Crowley would do after making up wouldn’t be to kiss. It would be to hug and cling to each other like a lifeline, inhaling each other’s scent and trying to meld their bodies together as a way of saying “I’m here I’m not leaving”.
Then they would ease themselves into kissing.
So you have chronic pain?
Yep
So are you in pain now?
Yep
So were you in pain yesterday?
Yes
And the day before?
Yes
And the day-
Okay let’s go over the definition of chronic again
People with abandonment issues either apologise for everything or will never apologise again as long as they shall live
There is no in between.
