Arcane (Netflix): The best show you’ve ever seen… 75% of the time…

Quick appreciation post for Bella Ramsey’s performance as Ellie!
I’ve talked a lot about how much I love their performance, but I’m gonna do it again because there isn’t enough Bella Ramsey appreciation in the world (“But they were nominated for an Emmy!” Shut up, there should be more.)
Bella Ramsey put so much heart into their performance, fantastically showing us Ellie’s humor and big heart and hope, but also showing us her fear, her sadness, her rage. This sharp bite that she needed to develop to survive in the world of TLOU. They played the characters’ highs and lows with this incredible amount of depth, of humanity. They showed us Ellie’s hopes and her trauma. Their performance exhibited this raw edge that left the moments of pain splintered in your mind and the moments of joy that warming your heart. It was truly incredible👏👏👏
Have you ever seen someone dredged out of a lake in a drama series? Yeah, that’s pure motherfucking horror.
Lost to see? You drift down. You become food for the fishes. You die in something so vast it’s near incomprehensible. It’s just a blip.
Swept up by a river current? It spits you out. You die in the rapids, found on the shore. You hit at rock at 70 miles per hour and that’s it. It’s quick. It’s almost… simple…
But lakes… ooooooh boy lakes…
Maybe you drown in a lake. Maybe you go out and fall and hit your head. Maybe they dredge the lake and find you, stiff and blue and gone.
Maybe you got murdered. Maybe a serial killer mutilated you beyond recognition and dumped you in the small town lake. Maybe there’s panic, maybe they search for you deep into the night, flashlights illuminating the woods as they desperately hope to find you… and then the nets pull you up, but there’s a sliver of hope that it’s someone else. Your face is gone. Maybe it was Caroline Reynolds who died in the next town over. Your loved ones feel awful that they hope it was someone else, but they wait and wait and when the forensics come out, the sirens illuminating the world in red and blue, they know that you’re gone…
So anyway that’s why I think lake’s are scary :D
Please reblog, I’m trying to make up a god
Idk who actually reads this blog because of my fanfic rather than my correct opinions or peak humor, but if you do you should know that the last chapter of Skin is taking a while because I… hated it and am completely redoing it…
Anyways it might come out soon or maybe not soon at all :D
Since The Last of Us won best “superhero” series at the Critics Choice Awards, what was your favorite part of The Last of Us (the superhero show)?
My favorite part was when Captain Dad used his superpowers of grief and mental illness to kill Doctor Firefly and begin the origin story of Golf Girl.
Oh hell yeah
Reblog if I can go on your page and write stupid things in your ask box whenever I'd like to.
