Hii! Something that’s been haunting me for a while now is how would an analysis of Mammon would go down in relation with Tom Cardys song “your love is not enough” (if you’ve listened to it) and I’d love to get some other viewpoints on this :}

I haven't listened to the song but have seen at least two people say it fits Mammon, so I might check it out.

One song that I personally associate with Mam is Kick It Up A Notch, it nails the vibe him manipulating Fizz to work for him. The fact it's sung by a giant scorpion also helps. (I know scorpions aren't actually that close to spiders, but the general mood is there)

Also, I don't care what anyone says, this is the anthem of the Greed ring.

I need him to call me a bloody legend and I need it right fucking NOW!

I'm fucking astonished, not by all this being the case, but by the crew publicly confirming it all with smiles on their faces and not a shred of self awareness anywhere to be found. Un-fucking-believable.

Just saw that during a panel the crew says

“Bryce messed up the plot by being too adorable”

Guys. Bryce is stolas’ voice actor, they’re all admitting the story of toxic power dynamics and classes was railroaded to yaoi woobification, BLATANTLY romanticising Quid Pro Quo, sexual abuse, and racist allegories, with many fans alienated by its new melodramatic direction, just for this one characters sake because he was cute? What the fuck is next in this creative verse Valentino tragic backstory???

This is why they should have kept the sinister voice from the pilot. It’s the voice of an abuser. Which stolas undeniably is. And btw Bryce says in his stolas voice “I did it for you Blitzy”

My genuine reaction:

The theory that all critics have been saying, that the Stolas writing alone is completely changing the direction of the show, destroying it, and retconning him to be the victim is fucking confirmed. I am disgusted by these people this is such a sick message to put out

Analyzing the SM6 spoiler collage

A bit late to the party with this one, but I have some ideas I haven't seen brought up by anyone else so buckle up and get ready to theorize!

Let's start with the easy stuff:

priest-Gregor

exorcism-Gregor attempts to perform an exorcism but likely gets possessed himself (see the demon priest poster at the movie theatre in Tender Treats)

church-We get a better look at the local church, seeing as the door we see in Tender Treats has a cult diamond shaped window in it, there should be some pretty interesting stuff in there, maybe even the tome from the ARGs

burglars-The thieves

cat lady- Even if you're like me and not a patron you can still tell based on blurred image previews and post titles that one of the new characters is an old woman and there's also a bunch of cats slated to appear in the episode. It's pretty easy to see the connection.

touhou plushie in the bottom left-just confirming there will be more Touhou references

Less obvious stuff that I feel really confident in:

the nine circles of Hell-Since were likely to meet a new demon this episode we may also get a glimpse at the SMverse version of Hell

women drinking-Lila goes to Jaune's house and gets drunk with her, this is also where we meet Jaune's husband in person, since he's confirmed to be in the episode

furnace-Dexter's body is cremated, likely by Patty after she's possessed by the new demon to release Moloch, who then possesses Gregor

Ones I'm less sure about:

marionette-Either something to do with the over-arcing cult plot or just a reference to the general idea of possession

angel-Possibly an angelic being who appears later in the episode, or more entertainingly, a character who acts as a rival to Susie, who is obsessed with angelic imagery

water bottles and ice bottles-My best guess is something to do with Kevin and the candy cartel

eyes-While it may be tempting to relate this to Eyes, I think the stark bright eyes against black may represent the Candy Dealer

person waking up-Someone comes to after being un-possessed and feels great and doesn't remember the possession, either that or something with some new character

blood flow-I honestly have no fucking clue on this one, maybe some kind of demonic infection or just saying there will be a lot of blood

Time for some Mammon HCs! (No, not the ones with the backstory I teased in my analysis)

Mammon genuinely gets a jolt of pure joy when a new venture takes off, just the feeling of a plan working out and getting something done is extremely precious to him. When it comes to business he enjoys the thrill of the chase just as much, if not more, than the actual money that comes from it.

Building off the last one, that mindset reflects in his personal interests too. He is absolutely into speedruns and watches them in his free time.

His guitar isn't just for show, he's actually a great player and frequently wrote and performed songs early in his career. However, he slowly started losing the love of performing music and now mostly just plays it in private to unwind from work or general stress. He will actually play it publicly at celebrations of large milestones or anniversaries, though.

Mam finds it frustrating that no one wants a heavier Fizzie after he went through the effort to have Ozzie give them a size changing ability, like we see in the ad. A lot of people mistake this for insecurity about his own weight, which couldn't be further from the truth, he has great confidence about his appearance and frequently scares some sense into anyone he hears dissing heavy-set people in general.

Even in his regular form he has spider like needle feet, both the curls and heels of his shoes are completely padded. This also means he has great balance.

Sometimes, instead of sleeping under actual covers, Mammon just makes a really big and dense web that he drapes over himself.

On the topic of his webs, they're slightly electric. While your touching one you'd feel slight electric static tickle. Mam himself, loves this feeling and that's why prefers sitting in his webs as opposed to regular chairs, or at least putting a web over a chair.
