I know you’re on a Spooky Month kick and I’m mostly offline due to classes and work, but here are some Hellaverse ideas/headcanons I’ve come up with:

Satan and Mammon are both hoarders, but their reasons, what they hoard, and how they store it differs greatly. Satan’s hoarding tendency is related to how imps (which are associated with him) have a hoarding instinct according to Viv. He typically collects battle trophies and has all of them displayed throughout his personal dwellings, with his favorite trophies being displayed in his man cave/in home gym. Mammon‘s hoarding tendencies are an offshoot of him being the Sin of Greed. He collects pretty much anything that he has even a shred of sentimentality towards, ranging from old performing outfits to drawings a young Charlie gave him to the beta models of Mammon brand products. Mam’s collection is so big he stores it in a series of heavily guarded warehouses.

After Stella divorces Stolas and gets together with Mammon, they refuse to let Asmodeus live down how he unwittingly helped and enabled the prince beforehand. To Ozzy’s credit, he doesn’t offer much of an argument against them.

I’ve sort of always in visioned Mammon and Stolas first interaction going like that meme/video where a guy blows an air horn at a goose and yells “Get fucked!”.

The rare instances Belphagor actually talks instead of using her text-to-speech device, the other’s immediately start listening.

Sort of building off of the idea of Baphomet dressing like a tourist, he has a collection of different hats (primarily fishing, bucket, sun, & straw) that he’ll cycle through. All of them are specifically designed to accommodate his head candle(s).

I had an idea on how to (sort of) power scale the Sins: barring Lucifer who is on a different level by virtue of still having his angelic abilities, the Sins are more or less equal in terms of power, with each possessing specific areas that give them an edge over the others. To elaborate, Satan=physically the most powerful & durable, Leviathan=propaganda (I'm honestly not sure what to put here), Belphagor=smartest on a technical/mechanical level, Asmodeus=smartest on a magical level, Beelzebub=smartest on an emotional level, and Mammon=the single wealthiest demon in the entirety of Hell.

My idea for the Sins ages from old east to youngest: Lucifer, Belphagor, Leviathan, Mammon, Satan, Bee, and Ozzie.

Since we agree Levi is probably based on deep sea life, I really like the idea of him having bioluminescent markings all across his body that he can use to mesmerize weaker demons and possibly even use as a sort of built in light show whenever he performs.

Speaking of performing, I like to think that whenever the Sins get together, Baph doesn’t actually perform with them and is instead placed in charge with organizing and running the events.

I really enjoy the idea of their being a massive gallery in the Morningtars’ castle that contains nothing but the family portraits and pictures that have been collected over the millennia. The twist being that since the Sins, Lilith, and Charlie are some of the oldest beings in existence, these “portraits” range from cave paintings, to ancient mosaics, to intricate tapestries, to antique oil paintings, to monochromatic photographs. Naturally, each depiction has them in (mostly) period appropriate attire.

At the heart of the gallery is a massive painting that is essentially a cursed artificer in and of itself. It looks as surreal as a Hieronymus Bosch painting and has brutal imagery comparable to Francisco Goya’s Jupiter Devouring His Son. Any demon below the Ars Goetia that gazes upon it are stricken with an intense feeling of existential dread, as if they are getting a vision of their truest, final death. The members of the Ars Goetia themselves feel an intense, primal unease that stays with them for months on end just from looking at it. By contrast, the Sins, Lilith, and Charlie look at it as little more than a kitschy family photo that holds a special place in their hearts despite no one else getting the appeal.

I’m just going to say it, Ozzy probably has more than a few kids running around… and I’m not entirely convinced Fizz is aware of the fact.

I think I remember you suggesting that Mammon had a hand in Charlie’s education, and I think that could be built upon by the other Sins similarly aiding in it or otherwise imparting wisdom to her while she was growing up… with mixed results of effectiveness (Bee and Ozzy didn’t do a great job teaching her get what she wants through charisma alone).

Related to the above point, Mammon is an undisputed mathematic and analytical genius. Like, with a cursory glance at a jar full of jellybeans, he can tell the exact amount in the jar and the jar’s total volume. I also like the idea of Mam’s approach to calculating being pretty old school, with him being able to do the work of a whole team of mathematicians with little else but an abacus and a notepad.

A persisting thought regarding the Sins true demon forms I’ve had is that what we see in canon is only a “game face” the put on when sufficiently pissed off. My idea is that the Sins True Demon forms sees them turning into mind breaking eldritch abominations that cost them the use of their higher mental faculties. My ideas for each one include: Lucifer=a biblically accurate Angel that exudes blinding light, Satan=a dragon made of volcanic rock, Bee=a huge queen be with sparse fox features, Mammon=a massive, electrified spider made of gold that has elements of Moana’s Tamatoa and Yo-Kai Watch 3’s The Goldfather, Asmodeus=a three headed beast wreathed in flames, Leviathan=a titanic, rotting eel/whale fall that can encircle the Pride Ring, Belphagor=takes a page out of Akira’s Tetsuo’s book. Before you ask, yes, I was watching anime when I came up with this headcanon.

On a more lighthearted note, I like to think each Sin has an affectionate nickname for Charlie. The only ones I have in mind are Mammon (Little Dingo), Belphagor (My Favorite Patient), Satan (Pardner), and Bee (Sweetie).

This is a lot more words than I thought it would be, but I hope you like it.

Sorry for the slightly delayed response, I've been all over the places in the last few days

I really like these ideas, but especially their contrast. One has a very personal view on it and is keeping things with a set intention, the other is hoarding from an intuition and with a general sentimental attachment.

Realistically, I think Ozzie would personally take the most offense at Stolas' actions, I definitely spends some time focusing on making sure Stolas is never in a position of authority over someone again. But also, yes, I do feel they would occasionally use it to annoy him.

Accurate

Oooo. Yeah, the idea of Bel suddenly speaking is scary because she either thinks the thing is very important, or, the worse alternative, it's somehow managed to provoke and intense emotional state from her.

Baphomet having multiple candles on his head is a really interesting visual. This gave me the idea of his horns having a similar texture to the candle wax, this might extend to candleheads in general, but it's more pronounced with Baph.

I actually have a completely different take on this topic. Basically, the rings are laid out in the order of the Sins' power levels (which have quite a variance between them) at the time of Hell's formation. Bel got the bottom ring on the grounds she didn't want to participate in the activity that was used to scale them. Since then, the differing values of society lead to different sins proliferating differently. Ozzie is now the weakest, then Levi, Bel, Bee, Mammon, Satan, Luci. I'm still working out the kinks on Levi's whole deal on this front, but that's for another time.

I would consider Satan the second oldest and Bee the youngest, and Mam and Levi switched, but other than that, I agree.

My take on this is Levi's skin being partly translucent, also works with his design being highly metaphorical of a scummy reviewer/publisher, in that one can literally see through him if they squint a little.

I also share the view that Baphomet wasn't a member of the Sins troupe, now that think about it, by our logic, Baph would be one of, if not the first non-sin goetic demon.

I love this. Luci always complain about inaccuracies of human portrayals of his family. Somewhat related to this, Lucifer, Satan and Beelzebub despise being conflated. The other Sins sometimes mess with them by doing exactly that.

Can't remember where I first saw it, but I remember coming across the idea of Ozzie being barren as a sort of ironic punishment upon his fall. As in some contexts, lust is viewed as anything sexual outside the context of procreation....... ..... That or you could do the Quagmire joke of him realizing too late that someone is one of his bastard children.

Again, nothing to add, just an idea I agree with.

YESSS. I live for the idea of Mammon "secretly" being a genius, I put secretly in air quotes because it's common knowledge, it's just a bit hard to take seriously when you're around him, because of his eccentricities, but that exactly what he wants.

I like your ideas, but I have some concepts of my own on the Sin "truest" forms which I'm saving for another occasion.

I love these!!!!!!! I'll add on Asmodeus calling her Char-Char, to go with his fire motif.

Sorry for taking a while to get around to this, but I really wanted to think about your ideas and add some of my own!

First off, I adore Merch and would happily draw so much art of him if I could replicate the style to my satisfaction.

So let's start;

I think Merch would have a pattern similar to the darker pattern in Stella's hair, which could be in his electric hair/mane, also, building of my idea for Mammon having gold claws on his hands and needle-like feet, I think Merch's would be more akin to crystals. Also, I love the general idea of him being a peacock spider, specifically.

Thinking about it, Merch would probably be great at making (and, should the need arise, manipulating) friends, given that both of his parents are extremely extroverted people.

Also, he would have both electric and crystal powers, so he could really make a mess when he feels like it.

I feel Merch would very much be the type of kid to remind a teacher there was homework, he just loves being active, just like his dad.

For his older self, the idea of Merch becoming an imagineer is amazing, but I just want to add the concept of him wearing suits that evoke both glittery 60s and 70s stand up comedians and something to do with electricity, like a simplified circuit pattern.

I'd love to explore the dynamic between Octavia and a slightly older Merch, especially as he would quickly outgrow her. I could imagine they playfully mess with each other quite often. I could see Merch gently resting his arm on Via's head, sarcastically asking where his big sister could be.

You mentioning Charlie made me realize that if Merch eventually found out what the original hotel looked like, he would never let Charlie hear the end of it.

Leviathan would also do everything he could think of in an attempt to be Merch's favorite uncle.

I can't help but think Merch would have a slight soft spot for Andrea, since he might notice how much the time they spend together means to his uncle.

Merch would also take every chance to slip Fizz's hat off in front of others, because he knows how uncomfortable it makes him.

Yeah, I don't think anyone but Stella and Mammon could properly manage the chaos of baby Merch.

When it comes to Stolas, I think Merch would absolutely arrange for some elaborate event as a big front for setting up a humiliating experience for Stolas. Naturally playing dumb about both the prank and the fact he knows what Stolas did the whole time.

So, this brings me to a big idea I haven't mentioned anywhere, I like to think that Mam's palace is on an island just off the coast of Greed's mainland, a part of the island which was previously empty is converted into a bit of an arcade type spot, for Via and Merch to entertain friends at.

Mammon would also make sure Merch knew how to defend himself without using his powers, in case he had to do it in a hidden form, without drawing attention.

In addition to the cent thing, instead of the playing card diamonds, I think Merch would be associated with the more typical 5 pointed from the side view, flat topped diamonds.

Personally, I think Merch would be slightly taller than Stella and Octavia, but still notably shorter than Mammon, mostly as most spiders are a good bit bigger than peacock spiders.

I can't even express how much I LOVE the idea of Merch having a shilling tick, I don't think Octavia would really mind, at this point she'd have long since embraced the "corporate shame" she used to be annoyed by, she can, for lack of a better term, see the appeal.

Merch would also follow his family's tendency towards music, his first instrument would be bongos, again, because peacock spider.

I think Octavia would actually get really invested of taking care of little Merch, because it wasn't until she learned about the egg that she realized she had an internalized wish to have a sibling.

A Golden Goose Idea

After putting some thought into it, I’ve decided to hop back online for a moment and share some ideas I’ve had for a Mammon X Stella fan kid. I probably won’t do much of anything with with the character, but I felt like sharing my vision of a gremlin child for this glorious ship, while also borrowing from some of the ideas posited by @prof-ramses.

Ideas Under The Cut:

While Stella had experience from when Octavia was still an egg and was for the most part pretty reserved during the incubation period, Mammon’s nerves were shot and his dread over something going wrong before the egg hatched led him to act (more) aggressive and impulsive towards those outside his family. During the months leading up to the hatching day, Greed as a whole was walking on pins and needles for fear of provoking its ruler’s fury.

When the day finally came, Mammon and Stella welcomed a bouncing baby boy into the world and in that moment both felt like they were at the top of Hell.

They named him Merch.

Physically, Merch takes heavily after his father (same general build and four arms, but his head is more blocky and he has four visible eyes), with some attributes from his uncle Andy (he has some sparse crystalline/icy feathers). Overall, he draws a lot of inspiration from a Peacock Spider (Arachnophobia Warning).

Personality wise, Merch has the innocent, but chaotic energy of Spooky Month’s Skid and Pump mixed with the scheming and quick thinking of Louise Belcher. Merch is also possessing of a boundless sense of curiosity and a complete lack of understanding of boundaries or warnings, often resulting in him leaving chaos in his wake when left unattended.

Has a really close relationship with both of his parents, often helping his mom with her art projects and being overjoyed whenever his dad takes him to any of his various businesses (especially Loo Loo Land).

I like to think Merch eventually grows up to be an architect/engineer/imagineer that specializes in making fair rides and amusement parks as a tribute to both of his parents’ interests.

His relationship with Octavia is a bit distant given the significant gap in their ages, but the two get along pretty well and often turn to one another as someone they can vent to.

When it comes to his extended family, the Sins are (for the most part) overjoyed to have another little one running around they can dote on and guide towards eventually becoming a new superpower in Hell and Charlie just lights up whenever she sees him and he’s always excited to hangout with his cousin.

As for uncle Andrealphus, Merch follows in his dad’s footsteps in stringing him along and subtly insulting him to his face. Mam has definitely taught him to do the same to Ozzie and Fizz under the guise of it being a game.

While Camio and Furfur are overjoyed that Stella and Mam have another kid and they do genuinely care for Merch, after their first (and last) time babysitting him, they prefer to be around him with his parents or sister also being present.

The only person Merch legitimately dislikes is Stolas because, even if Merch doesn’t know all of the details, he knows that Stolas hurt his mom and sister. Stolas is probably the only person Merch actively schemes against in the hopes of making his life more difficult.

While Stella and Mammon are pretty involved and present parents, Merch is pretty much free to wander and explore Greed unattended, the same applying to Octavia, with no fear of either of them being in any real danger. Everyone in the ring knows better than to mess with them because, unlike Ozzie, Mammon would be far more active in ensuring either of his kids’ safety, even if it means cutting a bloody swath through his own territory.

In terms of voice, I can only really picture him as sounding like Pump.

I really like the idea of Merch wearing clothes emblazoned with a cent sign as a nod to Mammon’s design incorporating dollar signs.

I also like the idea of Merch just generally being larger than the rest of his family as an adult, while keeping most of his easy going and cheerfully chaotic personality despite maturing.

Merch has a tendency to say corporate buzzwords and shill Mammon brand products. He doesn’t really understanding what he’s talking about, he just wants to imitate his dad. Mammon and Stella find this habit adorable, while Octavia is left more than a little exasperated by it all.

Merch is every bit as touchy-feely and has the same personal space invading tendencies as his father.

Some ideas for Merch

For the uninitiated, @thatguywhodoesstuff made a Golden Goose fankid named Merch and We've been exchanging some ideas about him recently, so I decided to dump a bunch of my own concepts for him here, or rather, under the cut

Mammon's is immensely excited and nervous about the prospect of having a biological child prior to Merch hatching. During this time the other Sins, mainly Lucifer and Beelzebub, do their best to help him get through his rough patches.

When Merch does hatch, Mam gives Glitz and Glam a 2 year long roadmap of events to attend since he won't be there to directly manage their act with a new baby in the house. He also makes it very clear what will happen to them should they stray from it in an significant way.

As a kid, Merch wears a lot of baggy clothes and often takes Via's old stuff or at least he would if he liked the colors more).

When Merch starts manifesting his many powers, Mammon devotes extra time to teaching him to control them and even how to strengthen them should the need arise.

When Merch is a tween, he starts being a bit sassy towards his family, which is nothing special, but when he starts learning about Stella's background with her ex husband, he lightens up on it a little, especially towards Stella. There's an unspoken agreement in the rest of the family that they know why he calmed down but none of them point it out.

You might think Merch's fondness of annoying him and Fizz would make Ozzie stop trying to be his favorite uncle, but it's quite the opposite. Asmodeus thinks his nephew is just generally mischievous and thinks that if he plays it off like Merch's pranks don't get to him, he might be seen as the "cool uncle". Merch finds these misguided efforts hilarious.

Merch doesn't see himself as ever seeking out a relationship and considers himself fully content with just the family he has now and his businesses. Mammon sees a lot of his younger self in this behavior and lightly jokes about it with his son.

While it's very rare for Merch to get outright angry, it's not too rare to see him at this scariest, which is actually when he's extremely excited for something, usually the launch or opening of a project. He goes into full cackling super villain mode and takes the moment to relish his own business acumen.

Somewhat adjacent, he has Batman levels of contingency plans for every toy line he owns. In addition to having several episode of a tie-in cartoon made before they even hit stores, he will have paid some desperate artists peanuts to make a pilot for a spinoff series for each main cast member in case they become popular enough to sustain their own line. He convinces them to do this by promising that the animators will also profit from this one character inevitably becoming a fan favorite, he, of course, keeps every team he has working on these "preparations" unaware of the others. And that's all just one example.

When Merch is frustrated, electricity of several colors emanates from his swept back crest/hair, in a way similar to a plasma ball

This last one is more of a premise for something else, but Merch fits very well into it. He sets up a domain in preparation for his attempt to convince uncle Fizz to return to performing, and when he refuses, turns it into a Fizz trolling forum. One frequent patron of the forum seems to take to it oddly well, and this is not lost on Merch.

So yea, I liked the new trailer. Also, I don't think this technically counts as a spoiler, but putting it under a cut just in case

According to some older leaks, I can confidently say that the hotel owner guy is probably not Leviathan in disguise, and just thematic build up, the same way both Robofizz and Crimson built up to Mammon.

Now that I've gotten the shitpost out of my system, I actually want to talk about this image for longer than is healthy.

First off, Mam canonically brings fidget toys to royal meetings and as someone who owns and still frequently uses a fidget spinner, I kin Mammon even more now.

But more importantly, this lowkey confirms 2 headcanons I have about Mammon. He never goes out without a variant of his jester cap for branding purposes. And the second is bone patterns on 2 of his sleeves, because I've believed for a long time that Mammon's skin is a soft exoskeleton and that's why most harlequin demons have a skeletal or bone pattern and/or motif in their design, it all leads back to him.

Stella and Mammon are in his mansion enjoying some alone time together in the living room. Via was off at a sleepover with a friend so that means, one thing. Serenade

Mammon has his guitar in hand and starts to strum along it while clearing his throat he looks towards Stella with his charming smile and begins his song.

Mammon: Oh, what a thrill when I see your beautiful bill, and you're oh so perfect as pie. You take away my breath, you're an angel in Hell-a to me, oh Stella.

Stella blows him a kiss and Mammon gently catches it and puts it to his heart.

Mammon: you’re my queen, it’s like a dream, especially whenever I hear your hypnotic scream! Maybe not for everyone, but your voice is like a songbird to me, oh Stella!

Stella begins to crawl her way over to him and places her head on his soft shoulders nuzzling it with a smile, causing a large love sick grin to appear on Mammons lips.

Mammon: when I hear you talk on the line, oh boy, your laugh is simply divine! My heart skips a beat when I see you reading something sweet. You have a look on your face that just takes me away, oh Stella! Now that this ogre has a princess's love, you’ve made living again fun, for me, la de dee!

Stella slightly frowns at hearing him comparing himself to such a beast but puts a calming palm on his cheek slightly. He leans into it and with the same loving expression they finish the song together

Mammon/Stella: Of all the demons in Hell, it’s for you that I fell, oh Stella/Mammon

Mammon and Stella close their eyes as they close the gap between them. They stayed like that for a long time, just lucky to be with the person that they love with all their hearts. And luckily, they had no pesky imps to interrupt their moment.

What thoughts are you expecting exactly?

I still ship Golden Goose and always will, also this might just be my general ignorance of pride flags, but as far as I understand, the flag he's wearing is just ace, not strictly aroace, I may not know everything on this subject but I know it's possible to be one without the other.

So if you're worried that my Golden Goose content is going away don't worry. On the other hand, if you were hoping this would mean the end of me shipping it, tough luck.

I will say though that it's a really fun art piece and gets the characters well.

Also, apologies if this came off harsh, I've just had bad experiences regarding ship policing and things like this set me off a little.

I’ve been in creative dry spell when it comes to Golden Goose and starving to see more of it, so I was wondering if you had any new ideas regarding the pairing. I really hope I don’t sound demanding in this ask, I just thought I’d see if you had any ideas you felt like sharing.

So, with all the stuff we've been taking about recently and that recent community post, I think I finally have enough to say to actually answer this.

Not all of this will be strictly Golden Goose, but most of it will be.

Early into his friendship with Stella, when Mammon first started having deeper feelings for her, he was extremely anxious because he wasn't sure if how deep they were, whether they were just a brief sensation or something more. What helped him embrace these feelings is spending more time around Stella, but also those around her, Camio, Furfur and Octavia especially.

Meanwhile, Stella is also hesitant because she knows that rebounds are a thing and Andre's drilling into her that she has no real experience with forming a romantic relationship.

They're both cutely awkward in this phase and I think there's a lot of potential for some lighter minor conflicts here, including Octavia's fear of clowns.

I think that once they were all in the Greed ring, Via started being a bit more outgoing at social events and actually started making some friends, despite what you might expect, Mam wasn't overprotective of her at this time, mainly because by then he knew her well enough to know she could handle herself. Despite this, Stella often stresses to her that she can openly tell them about any problems and Via takes it as a forgone conclusion that her mother knows how to pick up some subtle things she herself might miss.

Another idea I've been pondering is something happening to Fizz and Mammon dropping his teasing to support Ozzie, and Ozzie himself is taken aback by it. But despite the open dislike that Ozzie has for him, Mam still sees him as his little brother and knows when Asmodeus needs him.

Knowing that Mammon isn't that interested in sex himself yet fully "rationally understands" it's appeal, masterfully using other people's sexual drives against themselves and profiting from it, makes his character even more likeable and complex to me. Like, you go king, capitalize on those cunts.

I think what’s awesome about Mammon is that he’s shown to have so many more powers than the other sins we’ve seen so far. He can teleport without the use of portals, he can generate electricity, he has an actual form change that isn’t just Get Big like Bee and Asmodeus. It really points to him being pretty powerful! (And he would totally win in a fight against Oz XP )

I also like the variety in Mammon's powerset. A big part of why I love his character is that he's very distinct from other antagonists and characters in general, from his design to his writing and his wide array of abilities.

I love this so much, it contrasts their personalities and social circles in a way that also makes sense as to why they're so good together!!!

Stella: Mammon kissed me!

Camio: Oh my stars! Oh my stars! Oh my stars!

Stella: It was unbelievable!

Furfur: Okay, we want to hear everything. Camio, get the wine and unplug the phone. Stella, does this end well or do we need tissues?

Stella: Oh, it ended very well~

Camio: (Walks back into the room, crude oil in hand) Don’t start without me! Do not start without me!

Furfur: Okay, alright let’s hear about the kiss. Was it a soft brush against your lips or was it like a, you know, “I have you now” kind of thing.

Stella: Well, at first it was really intense, you know? And then, oh fuck, and then we just sort of sunk into it.

Camio: Ohh… So, okay, was he holding you? Or was his hands on your back?

Stella: (Smiles fondly) First they were on my waist and then they slid up and then they were in my feathers.

Camio & Furfur: Ohhh.

Mammon: And, uh, then I kissed her

Lucifer: (Thinks on it) Tongue?

Mammon: Yeah.

Bee: Cool.

Alright, since the spooky month is upon us, I wanted to share a Mammon thought.

Now, it goes without saying that Mammon’s whole animal motif is a spider, which is evident in his full demon form (which admittedly also has scant earwig features) and the heavy usage of webs throughout his theater. Well, recently I saw a post (which I unfortunately can’t find) which posited an alternative animal motif for the King of Greed: a tick.

Now, as much as I love Mammon being a clown-spider, that idea struck a cord with me and I think him being a tick is also rather fitting thematically:

Mammon has an insatiable desire to accrue more wealth like how ticks greedily engorge themselves on blood until they’re fit to burst.

Mammon finds up and coming stars to cling on to and profit off of much like how ticks search for hosts to live on, both of which comes at the brand’s face/host’s expense and wellbeing.

I honestly feel like you could draw parallels to the design of Mammon’s full demon form and what an engorged tick looks like. Large lower body, eight sharp legs, and a disproportionately small head (this is more pronounced on ticks, all things considered).

Ticks are a type of arachnid, so even if Mammon isn’t one you can draw a sort of connection.

All of this said, given he’s an ancient demonic being, it’s just as possibly he id a chimeric list of different arthropods, which would line up pretty well with Bee being a demonic fox/bee and Ozzie having the heads of a r and a bull on top of his obvious rooster traits.

Now, none of this is meant as a condemnation of Mammon, if anything I’m just running with a random idea that I just think adds some interesting layers to his design and how it fits thematically with the sin he embodies.

I guess what I’m trying to say is this:

Vampire Mammon

Yeah, I think that, all things considered, Mammon isn't any one thing, he very intentionally has elements of spider, tick, and earwig.

As for him being a vampire, I raise you this: You know that idea you mentioned that Mammon has the ability of tearing out souls and manifesting them as physical coins? What if he uses his teeth to drain to soul and then it trickles out of his fangs and congeals into a coin?

Another idea is that he has vampiric powers to do with electricity, since it's his element. He can sink his teeth into anything with a charge and drain it into himself.

I think I actually like the second idea more, but I'll leave both of them here, just cause.

It seems to me that Fizz was surprised not so much that Mammon, despite all his blindness (which he demonstrated during the message song), really knew about the seriousness of their relationship, but that he was going to use this information to continue to keep Fizz by his side. On the one hand, he could really leave it as a trump card for a rainy day, and on the other... Mammon could also have used this blackmail earlier, it's just that Fizz forgot about this trump card because of all this stressful situation, and only after voicing this threat again, he remembered what exactly he was threatened with leaving. So, 50/50.

Although... Most likely, Mammon did threaten him, but not by revealing their relationship, but by saying that if Fizz wasn't the best, then Ozzy would leave him...

Sad thought but do you think Mammon ever used Fizz's relationship with Ozzie as a way to control him?

If there was ever a moment Fizz was being resistant or even a hint that Fizz could potentially leave Mammon's business, I can imagine Mammon just playing up how unfortunate it would be if word got out that Fizz was dating a Deadly Sin.

"Fizzie, my boy, if ya leave, don't ya think everyone will realize that you're cozying up to Ozzie? I've read the papers and it don't look good for ya. Oh, you know I don't have a problem with it. But the rest of Hell isn't as understanding as I am. And poor Ozzie, he'll be scorned and be made a mockery. And there'd be nothing I could do to stop it. So....you'll be here 8 o'clock sharp tomorrow, yeah? And keep up that smile, Fizzie. Everyone loves a smile!"
