Spooky Month 6 prediction: All That's Sweet Is Not Sugar
The episode will open with a seemingly normal night with the spookeez going to the candy club and Kevin getting annoyed as usual. However as he's about to usher them out they notice that a few people on the street are acting a little funny.
A similar situation happens with John, Jack and Rick at Gonuts, presumably with Rick quitting his latest job at some point.
The two groups try to navigate the situation as the "sugared up" townsfolk grow more dangerous along with shorter scenes of other characters dealing with the "outbreak".
One of the starring characters eventually ends up ingesting something sugar-laced and this results in a dedicated horror scene
The Candy Dealer is revealed to be responsible for the sugar-spiking relatively early into the episode, but it isn't until the last act that we see his real face or discover the true nature of the sugar (possibly an experimental chemical being tested by the dealer who's really a mad scientist).
The thugs who held Kevin at gunpoint in Unwanted Guest will act as the Candy Dealer's enforcers/bodyguards.
In the end the Dealer's own victims swarm him in a blind rage (Adding angst potential if Robert or John end up being involved in his death, that is, if he is related to them).
Personally, I don't think the Candy Dealer is directly working with the cult, but like the manufacturers of the happy fella dolls, is being accounted for by them in their plans (calling back to the OST cover that shows the cultists as the chess masters of all the other characters).
To be frank, I don't think we have enough information to speculate on the secret ending.
That's all I've got ,if you read this far you deserve to see this beautiful image I have dubbed "The Candy Derper", that I accidentally caught while trying to get the image at the top of the post.
Okay so I was thinking about your theory/idea thing for SM6, about one of the characters getting "infected" with the sugar high, and I remembered this one doodle Pelo made after TT released
And how Kevin's VA showed a photo of his recordings for Kevin in SM6
Note the bit towards the end where it looks like Kevin goes quiet, only for him to get really loud, like he's screaming a lot; it would fit a horror build-up scene following by him actually losing it
I can absolutely see Kevin being the one of the group to eat the spiked sugar and then attack the others
HOLY SHIT, YOU'RE A GENIUS! I always thought of the doodle as a joke but if Kevin is the one to get "sugared up" it would actually make perfect sense.
Initially I thought maybe John would be the one to get contaminated but that was mostly because of the theory that the Candy Dealer is his brother. Kevin is a way more likely candidate.
Come to think of it, there aren't any giant lollipop props in the candy club, so maybe CD spikes the town by starting his own store, which ends up being where Kevin gets contaminated and where he finds the giant lollipop.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
On a side note, I imagined the characters having some change to their eyes as a visual shorthand for them being "infected" with the "sugar high" but couldn't come up with what it would look like. But now, I think they might turn purple, like CD's eyes (I refuse to believe them looking like that is just shading).
Wait wait wait I think you're onto something??
Like in demonology Moloch is a powerful demon, maybe a demon down in hell went "I haven't seen this bastard in three years where tf did he go" and goes up to find him, possessing Patty in the process
Maybe that's what the seven circles of hell image on the spoiler collage is for???
First off, I never thought about the idea that we might actually see the SM universe version of hell.
And second, the idea i actually had was more like a rival demon who sees Moloch stuck in Dexter's body and goes "Oh, so you do possession, huh?" and then possesses Patty simply because she's the nearest person.
Also! Also! this fits as a parallel to my idea of an angel-obsessed rival for Susie, maybe their even Gregor's grandkid!
Analyzing the SM6 spoiler collage
A bit late to the party with this one, but I have some ideas I haven't seen brought up by anyone else so buckle up and get ready to theorize!
Let's start with the easy stuff:
priest-Gregor
exorcism-Gregor attempts to perform an exorcism but likely gets possessed himself (see the demon priest poster at the movie theatre in Tender Treats)
church-We get a better look at the local church, seeing as the door we see in Tender Treats has a cult diamond shaped window in it, there should be some pretty interesting stuff in there, maybe even the tome from the ARGs
burglars-The thieves
cat lady- Even if you're like me and not a patron you can still tell based on blurred image previews and post titles that one of the new characters is an old woman and there's also a bunch of cats slated to appear in the episode. It's pretty easy to see the connection.
touhou plushie in the bottom left-just confirming there will be more Touhou references
Less obvious stuff that I feel really confident in:
the nine circles of Hell-Since were likely to meet a new demon this episode we may also get a glimpse at the SMverse version of Hell
women drinking-Lila goes to Jaune's house and gets drunk with her, this is also where we meet Jaune's husband in person, since he's confirmed to be in the episode
furnace-Dexter's body is cremated, likely by Patty after she's possessed by the new demon to release Moloch, who then possesses Gregor
Ones I'm less sure about:
marionette-Either something to do with the over-arcing cult plot or just a reference to the general idea of possession
angel-Possibly an angelic being who appears later in the episode, or more entertainingly, a character who acts as a rival to Susie, who is obsessed with angelic imagery
water bottles and ice bottles-My best guess is something to do with Kevin and the candy cartel
eyes-While it may be tempting to relate this to Eyes, I think the stark bright eyes against black may represent the Candy Dealer
person waking up-Someone comes to after being un-possessed and feels great and doesn't remember the possession, either that or something with some new character
blood flow-I honestly have no fucking clue on this one, maybe some kind of demonic infection or just saying there will be a lot of blood
So, with there being 10 episodes, I feel this applies to episodes 3-9, since the first two episodes don't really have main villains and the last episode will be a grand finale.
So far we've had Bob-Gluttony, Moloch-Wrath (his main motive in UG was to escape and get revenge on the boys) and Dexter-Lust (bloodlust to be exact).
Given that it seems the villain of episode 6 will be a new demon, possibly Moloch's rival, I feel they will represent Envy. Especially because SM6 was likely originally supposed to be the Candy Dealer episode and that guy's main thing is being jealous of and trying to surpass the Candy Club.
This leaves Pride, Greed and Sloth split between the Roy, Frank and Spider episodes (assuming none of them were the second cut episode).
Okay I'm gonna fixate on the antagonists reflectijg the 7 deadly sins forever now
Theorizing about the SM6 character teaser
So for those who don't know, this post teasing 3 new characters was posted to the SM patreon la while back.
As non-patrons, myself and @crossover-enthusiast have discussed this a bit and I have some ideas on these folks
Character A, the and one the left is described as "the boss of a he-", I can't be sure but I think this is implying that this guy runs either a new or established business, my current leading theory is Gonuts, since we already know that Rick will be working there in the coming episode.
Character B is the one I've seen the least discussion about. Given that Patty and the morgue are both confirmed to be relevant to the main plot and how similar to Patty this character's silhouette is, I'm willing to bet this is another mortician/pathologist. Whether they'll be a major character or only appear briefly, I can't say.
And lastly, Character C is all but confirmed to be a cat lady (see the patreon post showing the designs for a bunch of cats and the spoiler collage). The thing that really stuck out to me though is this:
The cat post mentioned earlier has what's clearly a picture of Dexter in the preview, it appears to be either a framed photo or a picture on a carton of milk. This might be nothing, but the more I think about it, the more likely it seems to me that this woman will eventually be revealed to be Dexter's mother.
I hope my fellow non-patrons enjoyed this and the patrons got a laugh out of how wrong something I said here is.
Spooky Month 6 predictions
So, as a non-patron, my access to sm6 teaser is very limited, but that's exactly what makes me so fascinated by what I can get of them.
After combing through the teaser, I've managed to construct an outline of the episode's plot.
I hope my fellow non patrons will enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
LET'S BEGIN:
The episode begins with a typical spooky month set up with a montage of Skid and Pump running around town.
Some scenes in this segment are: Lila and Jaune are getting drunk together, the Kevin clip we got the other day and a scene with Rick and the cops at Gonuts, this sequence will likely introduce a new character or 2.
Most importantly, they come across the Hatzgang and Robert asks them to take something to his sister at the hospital.
After this, the boys come across Frank, who drops them off in front of the hospital at the same time as Gregor arrives, having been called by Patty to handle the Moloch situation.
At this point, we cut to a corner of hell where a New Demon (hereafter referred to as ND) realizes how long Moloch's been gone and decides to find him.
Back in the human world, the spookies try to follow Gregor into the morgue and briefly succeed, meeting a new mortician character, only for Patty to boot them out.
Afterwards they run into two men, one dressed in a Happy Fella costume and the other being the teased business man character, looking for the room of a severely ill girl who made request with a Make-A-Wish type group to meet Happy Fella, the boys assume the girl in question is Robert's sister, but she isn't and Rob's sister meets Happy Fella at the expense of a far more sick child.
Somewhere around this point we get a side plot involving the thieves looking for something hidden in the church, but their search leads them to the house of an old cat lady, this acting as the episode's major subplot. The item in question likely being cult related.
Back to the boys, we see that Robert's sister has many Happy Fella dolls, one possibly being possessed by Dexter, Skid and Pump naturally start destroying them.
Afterwards, they return to the morgue where Dexter's body has been cremated, releasing Moloch and letting him possess Gregor or Patty, either way, whoever he doesn't possess gets possessed by ND, who arrives at the perfect time start a demon fight! (which ends up being 2 bodies ragdolling in midair and occasionally smacking against each other)
Pump suggests they call Lila, but Skid says she told him she'll be busy, this is then contrasted with a scene of Lila and Jaune in full pisshead mode, when Jaune's husband calls to check up on them.
Then we get the climax of the boys (possibly with the presence of an angelic being) performing a double exorcism.
Annnd, that's it!
Special shout out to @crossover-enthusiast for helping my iron out some of these ideas.
Analyzing the SM6 cast line up teaser
More fun for the non-patrons as a height chart of episode 6's characters dropped and I have *thoughts*
Before we delve into the analysis, be advised that this will reference my SM6 prediction post, which can be found here.
And out last bit of preface
These three new characters teased in an earlier update are hereafter referred to as the businessman, the new mortician and the cat lady.
Bear that in mind.
So here's the 2 lined height chart, so let's start putting names to these blobs!
Line 1: The Thieves, Lila, Skid and Pump, Susie (she's pretty hard to see, but you can mostly notice her shirt and hair), Mr. Wonder, Jaune, Jaune's Husband (who was shown in full in an earlier update).
The next figure at first appears to be another shadow, but upon closer inspection seems to be Father Gregor, after that we have;
The Cat Lady, Dexter (likely in another missing ad or for his body being unpossessed, if for a moment), Patty, John and Jack, then we have the first totally new character, a massive person (taller than Frank, making them the new tallest human in the series) who brings me to my first new theory:
This character, whose proportions are highly evocative of a cartoon vampire, will be either yet another new mortician, or in charge of the hospital's blood bank. Funnily enough, this actually matches weirdly well to a half-joking conversation me and @crossover-enthusiast had the other day.
Line 2: Skid and Pump again (for reference), Ross, Robert and Roy, Kevin, Radford (in his teased casual outfit), the actor in the Happy Fella suit, Mayor Evermore, The New Mortician and then... Roy's Uncle??!?!
This might be my biggest validation yet, as I've had a thought for some time of us first seeing the New Demon in hell, torturing the Uncle, if this ends up being true, I am officially the king of the SM fandom!... Where were we?
Oh yeah, we then have; Ignacio, The Businessman, Frank and yet another totally new character, a portly person I have no solid theories on.
Before I leave, I'd like to mention some characters who are missing here (other than Moloch and any other supernatural characters who might appear). Those being; Lucky, the Actor and Actress and Rick.
Rick is the only notable outlier, as he's a relatively major character, so where is he?
Well, I think Rick's absence is quite simple to explain. While not outright confirmed, Rick is heavily implied to be working at Gonuts in episode 6, meaning he's wearing a new uniform. I think Pelo just didn't want to spoil this, and so left Rick and his new outfit out of the line up.
And that's all I've got! One last note before we're done here, I'm pretty sure next week's update will be the episode 6 trailer, so there's that.
Hollow Sorrows Trailer Breakdown LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO
Obviously, if you don't want spoilers, scroll away. If you've already seen the trailer, LET'S GO!!!
So when we first see possessed Patty, she looks mostly normal, you can't even see her demon teeth through the mask yet. John and Jack probably only came in since they heard a scream and/or struggle coming from the morgue.
So we get a shot of the boys being too chaotic, something Gregor points out and what will likely cause the "bad character development" Pelo ahs mentioned.
Also, since it's 100% what Pelo would do, Costume Bob is the guy in the HF suit. Mark my words.
The scene with the hatz is really interesting to me, since Skid and Pump just annoys Roy for a moment and leave. I think this might be all we get of the hatzgang this time, similar to how Frank only had a brief Appearance in Tender Treats. If my theory that episode 7 will focus on Roy is true, this little scene will be very interesting to dissect when the full episode drops.
We actually get out first proper glimpse at a new character and I think this old man is the very last character in the line up teaser
And there's also a pretty good chance he Roy's grandfather and given the way he reacts to the boys antics here, I can definitely see him being a another reasons Roy's the way he is.
If he actually is Roy's grandpa, then @crossover-enthusiast and I's Roy discussions are going to get really fun pretty soon.
Here, Skid is clearly holding a framed photo, meaning this will almost certainly be the first time his father is brought up directly.
Also, yeah, with Pump's line about "hangover spooky month", it seems my theory about Lila in this episode was at least half right.
Yet more proof that the boys' absent parents will be more of a focus. The trailer as a whole gives me some ideas regarding the Wonder parents, but I feel they're best saved for another time.
The boys get into trouble with the cops and I have 2 theories regarding when, either Gregor tries to get them sent home before going to the hospital, but they talk their way out of it, or they actually do get sent home at the end of the episode.
John's expression here immediately makes we think that something Skid or Pump said reminded him of his daughter. Another plot thread that has yet to be directly acknowledged.
Ignacio watches Gregor lead the boys away, maybe he lives down the street from Skid and Lila to keep an eye on them for the cult?
Either way, I'm surprised his appearance won't take place in the hospital as I previously predicted.
"I will be your guide. And I know your parents would be proud of you."
There's something undeniably sinister about this line, but how sinister hinges on whether Gregor is a cultist or ex-cultist. Whatever the case may be, he definitely knows more about or sees more in the boys than he lets on.
A great title card, and thought the blood everywhere is definitely concerning, I don't think there's anything to really say here, just wanted to get a screenshot of it.
And it would appear the character I've referred to as the cat lady will have the unenviable role of a hapless victim to the episode's villain. But honestly, I'm more surprised by her being at the hospital in the first place and why that never occurred to me before.
The actual progression of Patty's possession confirms to she's possessed by something other than Moloch. And what seals it for me is, fittingly, the eyes. The white of her eyes becomes a more vivid yellow, yet her pupil snot only don't form Moloch's typical spirals, but they're a more vivid shade of baby blue, a color that has never had any significance in the series before. Moloch will mostly be trapped in Dexter before eventually possessing Gregor, I will die on this hill.
AND THE FUGGIN' RELEASE DATE!!!
Alright, that's all, only a month now. We're so back!
I saw someone else point out tie-guy as being Richard's dad and like- yeah I can absolutely see it now, but tbh that makes it even funnier bc it implies Roy's uncle got shit luck in the hair department lmao
But also!!
This is also just straight up the dude from the Tender Treats photo
Which makes me wonder why he's even here, if he's supposed to be Richard's dad? Were Richard and maybe even his brother at that barbecue too, just offscreen? Or was he there for something else?
Also looking at it, I think he's the middle guy in that character sneak peak Pelo posted
(note the build and the hair swoop)
Which means the only one of the three we haven't seen yet is the guy on the left
Yeah, don't know how I didn't pick up on him being the man in the photo, but I think you're overlooking the big implications from that.
First off, someone asked if the man next to Bob is someone he knows, Pelo said the only person Bob knew was his "friend" how took the photo. Someone else asked if we knew 'him' and Pelo said yes. Now we know he was referring to the person taking the photo, who I am CERTAIN is Mr. Clown.
Also, given the grandpa's definitely aged since the photo was taken, he isn't/wasn't a cultist, which makes me think Roy's family only became involved with the cult when someone (Bob if it happened earlier, Evermore if it happened later) inducted Richard's brother.
And yeah, I think you're right, he probably is that guy, and not the last person in the lineup.
See the thing is, when the Tender Treats premier was set up, it also had a trailer that focused on making the episode seem as dark and tense as possible.
I think that Hollow Sorrows will have the typical split between light and dark elements, but when it gets dark, it'll be darker.
Also, Lila is obviously hungover, just the dialogue in the trailer tells you she told Skid it's "hangover spooky month" and then he told Pump.
do y’all think the new spooky month episode could be more serious and dark like I know the other past episodes are pretty dark but mostly more funny and goofy but with deadly smiles and tender treats having pump and skid almost having near death experiences and Lila looking more worried and stressed in the trailer it definitely feels like we getting closer to the serious episodes
DUDE DUDE PELO POSTED THIS
It's only PART of the poster according to him, but holy shitttt
Extrapolating from what we see just a bit, I think this is the new demon dropping all pretenses and bursting out of Patty like an undersize shirt.
Gregor's expression is great and the general presentation is tops.
Analyzing the Hollow Sorrows thumbnail for last minute predictions
The first thing I want to say is I didn't look at the cast list, so I don't know if there really is a new demon, but I'm operating under the assumption there is.
The eye in the background is Moloch's, being paralyzed, he's reduced to a watching ghostly presence and a looming threat if New Demon succeeds at freeing him.
The big thing is that Skid is looking at Gregor while Pump is looking at Patty, possessed by New Demon. I think this is symbolic of the role this episode will play in the boys' arcs. Pump is drawn to the more chaotic and unpredictable supernatural events happening in town. Pump is also the one who seems to be more affected by Eyes
On the other hand, Skid is drawn to Gregor, who is heavily implied to be a cultist in this image:
So him manipulating Skid into replacing his father is a distinct possibility. All this supports my idea that the finale episode will see a clash of Skid and the cult against Pump and Eyes.
Also, the fact that Gregor is shadowed in the same way as the villains serves as yet more evidence that his intentions aren't pure.
The Tree Banshee theory
This is a theory predicting the role of Spooky Month's most enigmatic monster, one many fans might not even know about yet, so sit back and enjoy!
Watching HS for a second time, Gregor's pose here stuck out to me, so I went back to check my hunch...
Yep, he's in the same pose as the figure on the left wing of the gate. But what about the tree like figure on the right wing?
Well, for that, we turn to the movie theatre, many fans know about the demon priest poster that foreshadowed HS back in TT, well we see a very interesting poster for a second in episode 6
"The Forest Sight", huh?
Now for the clencher, we turn to an image from the arg
The same eye patterns, and a ghoulish being I've come to call the Tree Banshee, you might remember it for it's scream in TT or for an illustration of it in the book from the TT arg.
I believe this entity also somehow benefits from sacrifices made to Eyes and that it will be a/the major monster of a future episode, which lines up well with my idea of Roy's episode being about him chasing Skid and Pump into the woods, where they get lost.
The thing from episode 3 is definitely the tree banshee, and it's a stand in for the unused witch idea he had for UG
Patreon post time:
Okay
SM 7 in October 2025 (probably)
How y'all feeling about that?
I'm personally 100% fine with it, apparently I have unnaturally good patience when it comes to this show so waiting 1.5 years really doesn't seem bad to me, that's almost the time we waited for SM 6 after all
Also with the fact that the people working on it definitely need a while to rest after creating that half-hour beast, and apparently Pelo's wanted to make this really bad since SM3, I'm happy with however long it takes to make the next episode as good as it can possibly be, it'd be horrible for anyone to be overworked
I'll be fine with the current food we've got for that long, I'm like the Beldam from Coraline, I can wait
And who knows, we might get another Spooky Short between now and October 2025!
This is a very real SM theory
What I've stumbled across this time is, I'll admit, completely batshit on the face of it. BUT, if you follow my flow of logic, I think you'll actually be more convinced than you'd expect
So, what is it that set my theorist mind off? Well, the character we knew we were meeting this episode, Aaron (which is apparently the name of Ross's dad in that model sheet)
We only see him twice (and no, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you, his tattoo changes what arm it's on between scenes) and in those scenes, he's mostly silent and is notably not paying attention to Jaune, despite her talking with their obviously distressed shared friend in the first scene and is separated from Jaune by the cinematography in the second scene.
From what we've seen of Aaron, both in this episode and the TT photos, he isn't very expressive, but he still shows his feelings through movement, or rather, a position in the photos, something absent in his present self.
So, what, if anything, lead to this seeming slight rift between Aaron and Jaune?
Well, we could assume it was something after Ross's birth, but could we narrow it down further? Yes, yes we can, mainly due to the first bomb I'm about to drop on you.
Jaune is a cult spy
Yes, I'm dead fucking serious. Let's look over the way the cult operates, shall we? They carefully monitor anything related to their plans while other members are on stand by, should something go wrong. How does this tie to Jaune?
Simple, she's the one keeping tabs on Lila, Ignacio does live closer, but is so abrasive, he could never get close enough to someone for intimate spying. Jaune on the other hand, as Lila's best friend, could theoretically keep tabs on certain aspects of Lila's life.
The next obvious question is why. Why would Jaune spy on Lila for a cult? Well, she wouldn't. She would, however, keep a close eye on her friend if someone else close to said friend, like say, said friend's husband, expressed concern for her emotional well being.
I know I'm probably losing some of you now, but this is where we get to another insanely counter intuitive yet convincing claim.
Jaune isn't spying on Lila because Lila's husband asked her, she's spying on Lila because she doesn't want Lila to know that-
Jaune had an affair with Lila's husband
I KNOW, I KNOW, I sound like Dale from King of the Hill right now, but I swear to you, this will all click together by the end.
Picture this, Jaune, a heavy drinker, is over at her friend's house one night when Lila's husband starts coming onto her and you know what happens, this goes from a one off event, to a semi-regular ritual for the pair. Some time later, he tells Jaune that he's worried Lila might catch on, and encourages her to carefully pay attention to any sudden mood shifts and.... share them wit ha trusted associate of his.
So, now that I've established the logic of this happening and that it will likely come into focus at some point, but what does this have to do with Aaron's detachment and how could it come into play?
It's not just that Aaron knows Jaune cheated and will reveal it to Lila, no, it's so much worse.
But first, I have to dispel some fanon for a moment, despite how popular the concept is, we have no in or out of series proof that Ross dyes his hair, the only photo of him we see is him and Aaron with Ross looking just as he does at present.
Why do I bring this up, oh my poor unsuspecting friends, it should be clear. If Ross has naturally black hair, that would mean-
Ross matches the genetic profile of Jaune and Skidad's biological child
And there you have it, the dark underbelly at back of the newest instalment in our beloved Halloween series.
And, if by some chance, you still don't believe this theory of Ross and Skid being half-brothers to be at the very least valid, well then, I have something that will blow your fucking mind.......
.........
And I'm not telling you cause it's 'Pril Fools Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More proof of the Tree Banshee theory
So, we know that the cult influenced the appearance for the church, with the diamond shaped window on the front door, so there's good odds they were responsible for this
A stained glass window depicting what appears to be a crucifixion as a person being turned into a tree, which further fits my idea of the banshee acting as a warden of sacrificed souls.
To be fair, I was strictly referring to these teen designs, keep in mind, the in universe gap between TT and HS is less than a month.
Skid is apparently 11 and Pump is 10, so Skid being relatively taller from here on out is understandable.
I think there's a good chance the rest of the series will take place over the course of 2014. We've had an episode in every season but spring, so it makes sense to do that with episode 7, which is all but confirmed to take place in the woods.
I'm glad they're talking about Pelo's VAing in SM 6 in the Spookycon (around 2 hours in) because I noticed immediately when watching how different Skid's voice sounded right at the end how it was lower and much more serious and emotional and apparently Pelo was crying himself during saying those lines and-
I KNOW WHAT THE NEXT SPOOKY SHORT IS GOING TO BE ABOUT
Okay, I know this is a bit of a clickbait-y title, but I'm writing this in a stroke of inspiration (courtesy of @crossover-enthusiast) and really think I'm onto something.
A while back, Pelo used this image to announce he was working on a second Spooky Short, one about Kevin's greatest fear/enemy, in his own words.
Since then, we've had a few hints on it's further contents and it's from those contents I believe I've cracked it's general plot.
This tiny image show's Kevin at work, nothing noteworthy there, if it wasn't for one of the updates on the short:
It's pretty obvious that Kevin is in casual attire. The best explanation for this, at least in my eyes, is that the short will open with Kevin finishing work and going home. The focus of the short will be on Kevin's personal life. But we can get even more specific in our prediction.
In this video (shoutout to @spooky-month-archive) we hear that Skid and Pump want to go trick or treating, and given when it's being recorded, it has to be for the short.
So now, with all this in hand, let's move onto THE PREDICTION
Kevin gets off work at the Candy Club and goes home (likely a small dingy apartment). He tries to relax, but Skid and Pump turn up at his door trick or treating, he initially tries to get rid off them, but then encounters the enemy alluded to earlier, who I'm guessing is either Kevin's landlord/lady or an ornery neighbor. Whoever they are, Kevin's enemy has a go at him, which provokes the spookees, who stand up for their "friend". The whole idea of the shot being that Kevin is more openly accepting of the spookees by the end.
We only have about 2 months before the short comes out, so we won't have to wait long to put this theory to the test
