Very Well Said.
Very well said.

It is said: when your way of thinking exceeds your appearance in politeness, your feelings are more fragrant than your perfume, and your manners are more attractive than your looks - only then will you become elegant.

Perfectionism leads to dissappointed always!
an encouragement for my fellow students!
idk who needs this but listen here:
i was an honor student all my life. highest weighted grade, class president, athlete, you name it–i had it all.
until my final two years of high school came and the combined pressure of getting into my dream uni, moving to a new school, making memories and making sure my senior year was as memorable as possible, and the pressure of being perfect finally consumed me. the two years i needed wanted that one thing so bad were the years i didn’t get it.
i graduated with average grades and without honors.
i let it affect me severely. i thought to myself, that’s it. all my years of hard work down the drain. i will never amount to anything ever again. i cried about it for days and let anxiety and fear take over my life.
months have passed since my high school career ended. and you know what? i don’t remember it. my previous classmates don’t remember it. my parents don’t remember it. i got into my dream uni and i promised myself to just be.
be present in your studies. be at peace with yourself. be in touch with your own needs. let yourself be.
you’re tired and need to rest? let yourself be. go and rest. do that thing later.
you’ve failed that one important test? let yourself be. process your emotions. find out where and why you went wrong. try again.
you feel like you’re drowning and just want to shut off and disappear? let yourself be. take some time for yourself so you can regroup. come back later. take responsibility for it.
accept that you’re being, and take it from there. it may feel like the end of the world, but it’s not. you’ve got your whole life ahead of you. it’ll only be the end once your time on earth is up. until then, you’ve got to let yourself be.
God has guaranteed you sustenance (rizq), so don't wear yourself out worrying about your future. You are being taken care of by the best of caretakers. Focus simply on your efforts and strive hard.
The human realm is the realm of effort, and human effort is limited to acquiring of the means. The realm of the ends and outcomes is the realm of Allah. Say insha'Allah and wake up every day with hope in your heart.
If you had a houseplant, you'd look after it. You'd water it every other day, you'd check for discoloration, you'd throw open the windows to make sure it got enough sunshine and air. You'd hum a tune while you admired its leaves and nip in the bud what is bound to disease it. Yet you forget to do the very same things for your heart.
Ibn Abbas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
"O Lord, make me grateful to you, mindful of you, fearful of you, obedient to you, humble to you, turning to you and repenting. O Lord, accept my repentance, wash away my sin, answer my supplication, establish my proof, direct my tongue, guide my heart, and remove the hatred from my chest."
— [Tirmidhi]
What else but these remembrances (adhkār) are medicines of the heart? Gratitude. Repentance. Awe of God. Love of God. Supplication. Good speech and conduct. Guidance. Cleansing of the heart. That's the prescription.
i don’t like how endings in real life come on so suddenly without making sense, without much warning. one minute you’re in the middle of something and the next it’s all a very long time ago and you’re a different person and none of it is ever coming back
“No more apologies for a bleeding heart when the opposite is no heart at all. Danger of losing our humanity must be met with more humanity.”
— The Source of Self-Regard: The War on Error by Toni Morrison
