It's Confirmed, I Can Only Draw Decently When I'm Pissed Off.

It's confirmed, I can only draw decently when I'm pissed off.

For no reason at all, this is exactly how I wanted to draw this monster and I couldn't draw it for shit until now.

But, if anyone's curious who this is, this is a monster from my story Tales That Were Lived and his name is Jubell.

He's a leaf monster that attacks people who don't play in his pile of leaves. (Maybe I'll have an extra snipit of this guy)

I really like how it came out ☺

Here's the second book's self-made cover!

The Crimson Soul is the start of the group discovering more of the world around them. Finding out things they otherwise would have to de research on.

The exploration in this book is specifically about one rift they encounter after scouring their town for any anomalies.

Here's The Second Book's Self-made Cover!

Here's an excerpt:

As the world around her changed into the Rift world, Cassie found herself still innocently interested in the entire place. In her mind this place looked-

“Like it was raining blood for days!" Her eyes went everywhere they could. "This is the kind of stuff you see in horror films or those dystopias!” She said to no one.

Cassie looked at her phone seeing that only two minutes had passed. She sighed and tried to occupy herself for the remainder of the time. As she was going to, she felt a slight vibration. “Hmm?”

The vibration turned into full on shaking and when she looked up, her eyes were covered by a shadow. She held her hand above her eyes in order to see better and there she saw the figure of a giant staring down at her.

“Well, don’t you look mad?”

This large being made no effort to respond to her comment. As it towered over her, Cassie remained looking up at it.

“Creature. What brings you here? Are you the one who has been here before?”

Cassie nodded. “I’m here for a little… I don't know what it's called." Cassie paused for a while and thought about the right word.

The beast spoke at that time. “So that means you’re the one who came and kept my people from killing that human?”

Cassie didn't speak for a bit and the beast began to get impatient.

“Damn, I can't think of the word, but yeah I did do that." She looked up. “With that commanding tone you have, my guess is you’re Sarkon… right?” Cassie assumed.

“Sekon, you insolent creature!” Cassie smiled a bit. “With your insolence, do you believe you’re going to get out of here alive now?”

“Not really… well, at least I know you think you’re going to kill me, but hear me out.”

“Why should I? What’s stopping me from just crushing you into our fertile crust?”

“Because you’re looking for challengers, right?”

Sekon paused, but eventually spoke. “…that’s correct.”

“Then I’ll fight you!”

“Willingly? You aren’t looking for some kind of bargain to hold over my head?”

“Of course not, I’m honorable.”

Sekon laughed at her. “Besides me taking a liking to your blunt nature. I am bored and am in need of some entertainment.”

“I’m sure you are, but do we have a deal?”

“Yes, we do.”

“Okay, but hopefully you actually wait for a fair fight 'cause right now I’m a bit distracted. It won’t be much fun to crush me if I’m not going all out.”

“You are correct. Whatever it is you’re doing should be finished before tomorrow. You have my word that I won’t attack you before then.”

Cassie pursed her lips. “I know I probably shouldn’t trust you, but eh, whatever. I’ll be back here tomorrow and I’ll even have someone else who might be interested in fighting you as well!” Cassie's voice was chipper as she spoke.

Sekon chuckled. “Use whatever you need. I know you will not beat me.” Cassie smiled up at him "But do understand what you are losing when I win."

Her brows furrowed in confusion. “Okay, not sure what that is, but I’ll be thinking about it I guess.” Cassie was about to go past him, when she realized. “Oh, you mean my life!” Sekon seemed at a loss for words. “Yeah, for sure, I’m worried about my life and losing it or whatever.”

Sekon watched her for a bit, as Cassie seemed to be mumbling to herself as she walked off. Sekon watched her for a while longer as she carried on. He couldn’t help the amused feeling he got from her…

Cassie groaned to herself as she walked the streets. “Why the hell am I so stupid? How’d I not know he was talking about ending my life?” She sighed and tried to move on...

Fun Fact: this whole book takes place in this dimension and I liked making Sekon a lot because of the relationship he has with Cassie. Also, Cassie says his name wrong because of two reasons. 1. because she thinks his name should have been Sarkon, and 2. because I kept forgetting which name I actually picked, so instead of taking it out, I simply added it in the story!

Snippit Saturday [3]

From: Tales That Were Lived

Looking out, Cassie saw Tachi making his way through the dancers and over to where she was. No one else was even in this area so it only made sense to assume he must have been coming over to see her.

Quana was raging inside of Cassie at the bullying her human half faced and this feeling was only met with Cassie’s own emotions as she stared Lia in the face.

“You better tell him you’re not interested and that someone else wants to talk to him, okay?”

Cassie kept her mouth shut, but once her arm was let go, Lia and her friends quickly walked off away from the area. Cassie didn’t even sit back down.

“The hell is their problem?”

“Quana… relax, okay?”

“Relax? How do you expect me to do that?”

Tachi made his way over with a smile on his face.

“Because we’re leaving.”

His smile slightly faded. “Oh, you are? Well, can I at least walk you out?”

“Why?” She asked.

“Just because I don’t feel right leaving you. I tried to find you earlier, but I’m okay just walking you out.”

Cassie shook her head. “No, that’s okay.”

“You sure?”

“I’m sure…” Her voice trailed, but she remained looking at Tachi.

Cassie felt her heart beating rapidly again. She wasn't upset she was being bullied, she was upset that the entire night people had been giving her attention for reasons she disliked. One for being dressed up and two because of jealousy.

Was she so irrelevant on her own…? Her only means of respect was on the arm of a boy or in the eyes of suitors. She did have her own strength and Tachi or her clothes weren’t the gauge of what she could and couldn't do.

The girls had awakened something deep within Cassie and she felt as if she needed to prove herself now.

So, her mind was made up.

"Cassie? You're really warm." Quana now had a quiver in her voice.

Cassie didn't respond. She took Tachi’s hand and pulled him over to a more crowded area. The small clearing on the dance floor made them more visible to anyone who happened to be looking their way.

"Hey, what are you-"

Cassie wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down. There was only a split second where Tachi couldn't tell what was happening, but the second he felt her lips on his, the rest moved as suited. He was only shocked for a second, as this didn’t feel like the Cassie he was so used to. As they kissed, it didn’t occur to him that that this was the shy girl who barely made eye contact with him. This felt like any other kiss he had and he was eager for more.

Despite the teachers watching out for this exact thing, they—alongside the others making out—were left to do what they wanted. Being vastly different heights, Tachi was leaning down quite a bit to reach Cassie, her own body stretched to ease the difference; but at some point, Tachi pulled Cassie upward a bit, her delicate flats almost lifting off the ground.

Cassie's own hands moved through his hair, making the intentionally messy look he came with more mangled. Tachi's hands were more experienced and brought her body closer to his, but the moment she felt him against her, she pulled away; leaving him wanting more.

This wasn’t the dream moment her memories would hold onto, no, this was a testament to her ability to do what she knew she always could. When the realization hit her that she was actually kissing, Tachi she started to move away.

“I'm going home,” she said, her lips barely ghosting his.

Tachi’s eyes opened, breaking the moment, but Cassie slipped out of his grasp before he could stop her.

“Hey, wait.” Tachi’s shoulders were grabbed. He was pulled back by a few members of the baseball team.

"Dude, is this your way of saying she's yours?"

"You never do anything like that at school!"

"That shy girl's a freak!"

Despite being clamored, he was able to get out of the group, run out of the room and into the hallway looking for Cassie. Knowing he probably wasn't going to find her, he tried to feel around for Quana and found where they were headed.

With fast steps, he jogged over to the back of the school. He was just able to catch Cassie before she exited through the back entrance.

"Cassie!" He yelled, which made her stop.

Right as he was about to get closer, it was like a wall appeared in front of him and he could no longer move.

Cassie let out a small sigh. "I told you I'm going home, just stay here and have fun."

Tachi couldn’t understand why he couldn’t move, but it was like his body and mind were fighting against one another and he remained standing there while Cassie continued to walk out of the school...

I don't think I've shared this with anyone besides a friend I don't really talk to anymore; and while I feel extremely nervous sharing them, I'll think I'll ease that by expressing the fact that I'm not an artist. I have been self teaching myself how to draw for years, so if this looks kind of bad, that's why.

Anyways, I obviously like it enough to share, so I am very proud of my work regardless.

That aside, I wanted to detail this story before sharing everything I did for it (I guess this'll be a short series about everything I drew for it).

A Fourth Dimension Reality is a series of books I'm writing about two inter-dimensional kids trying to find out what dimension they're actually apart of. Along the way, they meet other people who are integral to their goal. Each of these characters will be introduced as I go along.

Now, as for the real world logic, I wrote this story after me and that friend were talking about how some shows that are suppose to be comedy/satire lost that along the way.

So, I was determined to make a story where that stays intact even in the finale. Essentially, this is a long shit post that needs to be stopped, but it's still going well into five books with a unfinished total of 100k and seven books officially planned.

Each book ranges from 23k-30k and no book is any longer... yet

So, anyways, here's the actual cover of the first book (I have two more made).

I Don't Think I've Shared This With Anyone Besides A Friend I Don't Really Talk To Anymore; And While

Later on though I ended up drawing something goofy where all the characters find a dimension that does space tours. That was my excuse as to why they don't have shoes (because you don't want to get the dimension dirty do you?)

I Don't Think I've Shared This With Anyone Besides A Friend I Don't Really Talk To Anymore; And While

But this is everyone and presents their personalities pretty well. I'll showcase them separately over the next few days.

For now, this is perfect showcase of this story:

“So this means no one can hear me scream!” Cassie used all of her breath in that howl. Larson groaned and went to hit her, but she moved out of the way and spun slowly in the air. “I can dodge you better out here.” She mocked.

With a growl, Larson said, “this isn’t some kind of joke. We need to do what Jax said.”

“Yeah, yeah whatever.” She dismissed his comment. “We’ll get there eventually, let’s just have a little fun!”

Larson just stared at Cassie as she continued to spin around happily.

He was brought back to reality when he felt his phone vibrate. “Oh, I forgot,” he answered it swiftly, “you can hear me right?”

Back on Earth, Jax could clearly hear them through the phone. “I’m surprised that it even works! I really didn't think it would.” He said with amazement present in his voice.

“Yeah, doubt me, why don’t you.” Jax laughed at Larson’s remark. “But I’ll try a video call now.”

“Alright.”

Larson was about to press the button when he saw Cassie still spinning around in front of him; he sighed and turned on the video call. Once it came up, he saw a smile grow to Jax’s face.

“So it does work, great.” Jax paused. “Cassie!” He called out.

“Yeah?” She said while turning to look in their direction.

“The video call works.” Jax announced.

“Okay!” She began to slow her spinning down.

Cassie took out her own phone and called Jax once more. She put it on the video call and stuffed the phone inside of her bag. She zipped it closed and turned to Larson.

“Okay, I can see him, so that means we’re good! I’m screen recording so you guys can do whatever you have to.”

“You don’t have to tell me that,” Larson said.

Cassie huffed. “Stop being so mean. Anyways, we will Jax!” Cassie confirmed.

“Good luck you two!”

With their method of documentation set, they started putting their plan into action. Larson slowly moved over to Cassie.

“Stop acting like a kid and let’s get to work.” He snapped at her.

“You’re so boring. We’re in space dude! We can breathe without astronaut helmets, why not live a little, Lars?”

“Maybe on our next trip.” Larson went ahead and turned back once he was a small distance away from her.

From his jacket pocket, he pulled out the rope he brought. Needing to be as air resistant as possible, he couldn’t carry a bag with him, instead he just already tied the rope around himself and stuffed the other end into his jacket pocket. He pulled out the other end and threw it to Cassie for her to grab. Cassie caught it and was now being pulled by Larson.

Once she was in front of him, Cassie pulled him. Their motions created a way for them to move about in space with the most amount of ease. After a few minutes of their maneuvering, Cassie let out a sigh.

“See, this is all business,” Cassie said with a pout.

“Yeah, yeah. Looking like a bitch doesn’t help you.”

“At least you used the right word, but I wasn’t trying to give you puppy dog eyes.”

They remained pulling each other in a still silence. This was maintained until they could finally see Pluto. Cassie giggled as she stared at it.

“Oh it’s so cute!” She paused. “Do you really think anyone will be there?”

“I don’t know, but if we do find someone it would be better to stick together.”

“I wonder if it’s like a superman thing.” Cassie started to talk about something else. “Like we’re stronger because we were on Earth for so long.”

Larson scoffed. “If anything, being on earth made us weaker.”

“See, I don’t think like that,” Cassie began, “I really feel like we’re stronger because we’ve been exposed to different mindsets and then we’re going to learn this one. So by default, we’ll be smarter!”

“Always on the bright side huh?”

Cassie giggled.

Also, fun fact: I'm so bad at spelling I kept writing Dimension as Dimention and I still don't really know if I'm spelling it right😃

They kept pulling each other until they were caught into the gravitational pull of Pluto and were able to land...

Next up is

Jax Barmen!

Previous Post

He's a super cute cutie and aside from his role in the story being related to the researcher who initially discovered 4th Dimensional beings (no, that's not a big deal in the story). Jax serves as the groups researcher.

He's extremely intelligent and enjoys theoretical research. Being a senior in high school, he has plans to go off to college and become a theoretical scientist.

Jax is also the pretty/popular boy of the school. Everyone loves him because he's personable and friendly. Jax is my sweet boy who tries his best to make sure the girls and women around him are taken care of and comfortable, and anyone else is met with nothing but kindness. I don't even think it's possible for him to even have bad thoughts.

Jax is also kind of the dad of the group being able to settle everyone down when they're feeling stressed or anxious about something. Outside of that, Jax often is the reasonable one of the group being able to make rational decisions and account for what they should or shouldn't be doing.

I actually just made this drawing randomly and it's not based on the excerpt. Here, Jax and Cassie are essentially having a sleep over where Jax is going to teach her something she's interested in. They're so cute too, they're suppose to he wearing matching PJs ☺

Also, his hair is different because I'm very bad at drawing 😄

Here's a snipit of him!

It was now silent in the car, Jax got to a stop light and spoke to the pair.

“You guys are arguing about this? Have either of you thought about the actual situation?”

Larson looked at Jax. “You must want to die.” Larson threatened. “I am thinking about the situation.”

“No, you’re only thinking about disagreeing with Cassie because you believe she’s wasting our time. You have yet to say any kind of idea you have.”

Larson looked off and let out an audible sigh.

Cassie smiled. “Yeah, at least I’m trying to come up with something!”

Jax looked back at Cassie. “And you are deciding things without concern about consequence.”

Cassie shrunk under his voice. “But I-”

“I know, Cassie, you think this will be good. So I have to ask you, why is it good?”

Cassie sat back. “Because… we’ll get to have allies if we help them?”

“That’s a good reason, but here you miss a major point—we could also find out more about rifts. If they know things we don’t then it’ll only benefit us, but at what cost?”

Cassie was going to say something, but remained quiet.

So Jax continued. “We don’t know if they’re stronger than you guys and they very well might be. So maybe next time just say you have a good idea and we can go from there…” Cassie pressed her lips together. “And Lars, maybe don’t doubt Cassie for every little thing she does. Have some faith in her gut choices and listen to her suggestions, but I agree with your concern. This might be a huge waste of time, but I believe we’ll get something out of it and that’s worth the risk.”

The silence continued after he finished talking. The frustrated pair sat with his words without a single retort. Eventually, when the light turned green, Jax started to drive again.

Larson let out a sigh and spoke. “Besides sounding like a parent who’s scolding his children, you…have a point,” Larson began, “but what are we even going to get from this?”

“As I said, we may be able to learn more about rifts. As well as other species that might exist within them.” Jax stated calmly.

Larson sighed. “Fine, we’ll consider taking this guy down…”

“Alright, we’ll go from there.” With that Jax ended the conversation...

Next post

Fun fact: his design still isn't what I want, but it's close enough that I'm willing to settle for this. Jax also does his own hair and at one point, I added a scene where Cassie doesn't know how to give herself cornrows and Jax helps her 😊

Now, it's time to introduce the characters!

First up, is my main main character

Larson "has a last name but doesn't want to share it"

Previous Post

Larson is a young man who regularly hates people. At first he thought these were just his normal feelings, but he finds out it's actually because he's not even a human, so of course he hates humans!

Well, Larson hates everyone but humans have a special place at the top. His high school career has him spending most his time trying to find any information about his real species.

When his work is left stagnant, that's when he meets someone he didn't expect to.

Here's a scene to showcase his wonderful personality

At the moment, they were at lunch ready to discuss their ideas. Cassie was sitting at the lunch table with her plate full of foods that weren’t good for anyone, including herself. She wiped her hands clean of the bright orange grease from the pizza she finished and now, she was currently eating a sandwich from her lunch bag.

She munched on this food while Larson told her their best odds.

“I don’t know if you can hear me over all that noise you’re making, but if this is screwed up, I won’t think to leave you in a heartbeat.”

Cassie swallowed what she was eating and spoke. “You must really think I’m not in this the same way you are. Look, just because I’m not frowning and getting my big girl pants on doesn’t mean I’m not serious.”

“Could have fooled the hell out of me.” Cassie ignored that and moved her tray over to him. “Why?” Was all he said.

“I’m offering you some. You don’t eat at all, at least whenever I see you, you’re not.”

“Because we don’t get hungry often.”

“I know, but we still have to eat so why not just eat anyways?”

“I eat when I have to. Nothing more.” Larson stated.

Cassie snickered. “You must eat like a salad and some water huh?” Larson grabbed her wrist right before she was about to eat something causing Cassie to drop it. Her other hand grabbed it before she complained to him. “I must be right if you thought to do that.”

He let her hand go and rested his head in his hand. “You’re so fucking annoying.”

“Thank you!” Cassie returned to eating, but stopped suddenly and looked behind Larson.

He turned his head—curious by what she was looking at—and he saw a girl smiling at them both.

Larson groaned. “What do you want?” He turned back to face Cassie.

Cassie looked at the girl and offered her an apologetic smile.

“Uh, well, I wanted to invite you two to a party I’m throwing…” she trailed, “it’s kind of far from here so if you don’t have a ride-”

“We’re good,” Larson said cutting her off.

“B-but, you can bring each other if you want!” The girl pleaded.

Larson opened his eyes and looked at Cassie. Cassie just kept eating without saying a word. He then sighed and got up facing the girl.

“I know what kind of angle you’re trying to pull here, but I’m not interested in spilling my seed in some worthless being. Not even her,” he said pointing behind him at Cassie.

“Ew.” Cassie mumbled.

The girl's eyes widened. “I-I wasn’t asking you to-”

“Really?” The girl pressed her lips together to Larson's comment. “I mean besides the fact that you always stare at me, you’ve slept with pretty much half the school. So I must be next on the list, huh?”

The girl’s mouth opened and she just took off to the door of the cafeteria. Larson scoffed and sat back down.

Cassie stared at him for a while and eventually Larson let out a groan. “I’ll gouge your eyes out if you keep staring at me like that.”

Cassie clicked her tongue. “See? Like that.”

“What are you talking about now?” He was exhausted.

“You could have declined her in a more… human way.”

Larson watched as Cassie reached for more food. He sighed and spoke while putting his elbow up to rest on the table. “If I did that, then I’d be leading her on and I don’t have the slightest intention of doing that.”

“You wouldn’t be leading her on if you just said you’re not interested.”

“Yes I would. Humans always think there’s a chance for them to get one in just as long as you’re not taken.”

Cassie just shook her head, “speaking of which; not that I want that, but why aren’t I ‘worthy’ of your seed?” She then laughed at herself after saying that, Larson just stared at her. “Okay, I’m sorry, but I still want an answer.”

Larson sighed. “It’s pointless either way. So I told myself I’d never reproduce.” He simply stated.

“Why?”

“I just said why!” He grew agitated.

“Okay, maybe it’s pointless, but wouldn’t you want to see what a little you would look like?” She spoke happily at the idea.

“Yeah, my parents have baby pictures.”

“Boo, you’re no fun.”

Next Post

Not so fun fact: That friend of mine told me Cassie was annoying and I should change it, someone else did as well and it made me sad (though I never told them that) but then I thought about other characters like this and realized they only thought she was annoying because she was a girl. Prime evidence: Spongebob from season 1-4 was "annoying" but we liked him for that. Also, they didn't find Larson in need for a change despite my intent to make him unbearably mean sooooo idk I think their bias was showing.

Fun fact: Larson gets some scars on his face at the end of the 1st book, so if I ever draw more, he's suppose to have scars, but I forgor sometimes.
