Irredeamable was pretty lacking when it came to Narkaas wildlife, so for this next game, i wanted to add some beasties to the roster. To fit the fiery aesthetic of the world, the fyrelands are populated by large scaly beasts such as drakes, wyrms, and mighty wyverns. These fearsome beasts pose a much bigger threat than the korugues thanks to their crushing strength and a tough hide that can protect them from a flamebearers flames.
Here we have the bearded drake. Their design takes a bit of inspiration from both bullfrogs and bearded dragons. These stout and hungry beasts serve as an early-game mid-boss. They are by far the least dangerous of their kind, but one should not underestimate them. The weakest drake is still a drake.
Slimes Yokei Godneu
These will be used in yokei godneu: to be a hero, so please keep that in mind
Slimes are a homogeneous, gender-fluid formless alien species in yokei godneu, made of at least 1 slime core, a sphere of magic that acts as their primary organ, and is acidic to the touch, and of course, the slime itself, a semi liquid like substance similar to jello, or jelly, that absorbs any liquids and sugar, and can dry out, but can be controlled by the slime.
Slimes can appear in a variety of appearances, blobs, square cubes, balls, a humanoid appearence, and other werid shapes and appearences, due to their rather versatile body, this makes them very hard to hit with Melee attacks, but magic proves to be a weakness of theirs, especially magic that effects the slime’s temperature.
Alongside that their shape shifting does have limits depending on how much slime they have, the more slime cores a slime has, the more slime that will make up their body, and the more slime that they have, the more freedom they have, and the more stability their form will have, so a slime with only 1 slime core is pretty limited, while a royal slime has a ton of freedom.
Slimes are homogenous, meaning they can breed with any other species regardless of gender, though, the result of a slime breeding with another species will usually be a slime with traits of both parents, or a slime hybrid.

Once, they have a total of three slime cores, thus giving them the ability to see, a slime will start growing up on its own producing slime to make the slime bigger and bigger, and they start getting curious and want to learn.
At a certain point, slimes will choose to take on a humanoid form, it is not sure why they do those, since they do it even on their home planet, but it seems they prefer female or androgynous forms, compared to male forms.
The more slime cores a slime has the smart they are, and when a slime has enough slime colors, their original slime core will transform into a golden slime crown and move to their head, this signifies a slime has matured internally a royal slime.
Royal slimes can be form through slimes fusing together, or a slime getting old enough, but as soon as this happens, they will start producing slimes without the need of a partner, as a result, due to the connotations of this to most sentient species, royal slimes often go by the name, queen or princess slime.

say hello to bapho, the traveling merchant of yokei godneu, and the planet of pheron. A mysterious figure how sells a wide variety of magical items, bapho hides their true appearence form everyone. Suspicious as ever, bapho does make good deals for their items, and they usually work as intended, though often these magical items have to do with transformation. Purely chaotic, bapho doesnt have any sort of allegiance with anyone and anything, it’s not even sure what their gender is, all that is know is that they are not human. Bapho is always accompanied by a pet slime that they use to make their various transformation potions and objects, I can’t show it in this photo, but I promise, you will see them later.

Bapho like her name suggests is actually a powerful baphomet, the demon species of sloth, how actually is doing something, equipped with a powerful scythe in her true form, bapho is rather powerful for a Demon. However, despite this, bapho is a peaceful baphomet, just preferring to sell stuff, than fight, unless she has to, and bapho isn’t even her real name, she just uses it to respect the leader of the baphomets, though I haven’t come up with it.
Passive Monsterization Yokei Godneu
This goes over the passive type of well monsterization, or natural monsterization, the process of something that isn’t a yokai of slime becoming one of those species, I will post about the types of monsterization later.
Monsterization is a strange process in Yokei Godneu: To Be A Hero, and is the result of objects and animals absorbing excess magic produced by the emotions of sentient beings.
Magic is primary the source of all sentient life in yokei godneu, without magic, nothing can’t be sentient, as such, all beings how are sentient can use magic.
Emotions, primarily the emotion of love, also produce small traces of magic, and can power magic up. This is how monsterization primarily works.
Monsterization is the process of an object or non sentient organism turning into a yokai, due to them absorbing residual magic around the area, transforming them into a yokai, or tsukumogami.
For objects, enough emotions towards the object will trigger the monsterization process, with them gaining the ability to move on their own, slowly and steadily gaining a soul, and becoming a tsukmogami.
Tsukumogami are artifical yokai that are born through the object passive monsterization process, mostly the result of an object going under either type of monsterization, leading to a wide variety of their appearance for the tsukumogami class of yokai
For animals, it’s a little different, animals already have a soul, so the magic is more of a steady process, they will start walking on two legs, and gain the ability to speak, slowly and steadily turning more humanoid over time, soon turning into the yokai corresponding to their species.
Plants and mushrooms combine the two methods, gaining a soul like the tsukumogami, and turning more humanoid over time, the process completing with them, fully turning into the yokai of their species.
As explained previously in slimes: yokei Godneu monsterization also turns liquids into slimes made of their liquid, despite them not being yokai, probably because slimes can be made of any sort of liquid, and can speed up by using magic.
This mainly explores the regular old passive monsterization of yokei godneu: to be a hero, basically things that aren’t sentient becoming sentient species, there is another type of monsterization, but I’ll explain that later.
Yokai Hybirds yokei Godneu
This is of course canons for yokei godneu
Yokai despite their different looks and origins, can all breed with each other, of course, breeding with a species of yokai outside their own, does result in a lot of various hybrid yokai, a rise showing up after the dark ages.
The most common yokai species to perform hybridization with other yokai is the harpy and tengu species, leading to the griffon, griffox (harpy+kitsune), Quetzalcoatl, owlbear, hippogriff, siren (harpy + mermaid), and many others.
Mermaids are also prone to hybridization, creating the siren, sea-bear, sea-goat, merocto (scylla+mermaid.), minocampus (mermaid + Minotaur.) hippocampus, and more.
If more than 2 yokai are mixed, they usually are called chimeras, due to how many yokai are mixed in, but some do have actual names after the 2 yokai hybirds, like the Sphinx, and manticore.
Mimics in yokei godneu
Mimics are an invasive alien species to pheron and various other planets in the joyous nexus, unlike slimes, how are peaceful and are actually helpful for the enivornment, mimics are destructive and harmful towards it.
They were 1st discovered on pheron by a young gofurias rainudomn, how found them when a meteorite carrying a small colony of them crashed onto pheron, and learned a lot about them.
Mimics are primarily carnivorous, they can eat anything up to twice as big as them, using their long tongues and stretchy bodies to eat anything they so please, primarily being adventurers.
While primarily carnivorous, they love any type of mineral, metals, gems, crystals, you name it, they have an love for the wealthy and any materials, which is why they target adventurers, and is the only reason gofurias had managed to tame a whole colony.
Mimics can be tamed by giving them a ton of minerals, ores, gems, metals, and Crystals, but they are very difficult to tame, so it’s wonder how gofurias managed to tame a whole colony of mimics.
Mimics are born with an item disguise, which they keep throughout their entire life, and can’t change, but they can also change their own body on a dime, however, mimics don’t have full transformative powers, and will keep parts of their item disguise no matter what form they take, and are limited.
Mimics unlike slimes how are mostly genderless, mimics on the other hand are primarily female, as throughout their evolution, it has been proven that mimics being primarily female helps them trick people easier and get more prey, leading male mimics to be rare to come by.
Most mimics are the solitary kind, meaning they don’t like interacting with other mimics, and have their own territory, often eating other mimics, how get too close, or ignore them, only interacting with other mimics rarely.
a few, like the ones gofurias found, form a colony, at the top of the colony is the oddly named “king mimic”, how is the strongest female mimic of the colony, how the other female mimics work under, while the few male mimics are at the bottom.

Boss battle idea: yokei godneu.
you see, my family use to have a pool at our old house, and had one of those cylindrical foam water guns, it kinda reminded me of an oni’s kanabo when extended, so that’s where the idea started forming.
So a swimming oni boss was formed, this boss would be fought inside a pool, or reservoir of water, in the boss battle, the oni would use the specially modified kanabo and the water around them to their advantage.
They would guard when not attacking, any attack they would take would push them back but do scratch damage, but eventually, after enough attacks, since pools get deeper the more you move away form the stairs, they would lose their footing, and become vulnerable.
However as damage is dealt, the oni boss will become bigger at specfic points in their healthbar, decreasing the damage you do, requiring more attacks to get them vulnerable, and also changing their attacks, to be more dangerous and powerful.
Kitsunes in yokei godneu, this is part of my headcanons for yokei godneu to be a hero
A species of fox yokei, known commonly by locals as multi tailed foxes, their most common known appearance is a strange colored fox with nine tails, with females being more common than the males of the species, but often take on a humanoid form
Females tend to take on a more humanoid appearance than the males, which are more like anthro foxes are, and are also smarter than the males too, who are stronger but dumber than the females.
They gain a tail every 125 years until they have 9 at 1000 years old, which is when they are fully grown and can’t die form old age, they are very strong in all types of magic, and physical combat, but can gain more than nine, though it is rare.
Kitsunes are some of the yokai with rather varying power levels, they can be rather decent to close to god like, and tend to be rather competive and haughty as they get more and more tails.
They often serve under the god/goddess inari no okami, but kitsunes have been found outside of their control, and have even become leaders of yokai kind at some pionts.
They have a bad rivalry with vampires due to the blood of a nine tailed kitsune being on par with the blood of a divine, the two species hate each other, as vampires tend to be more villainous than the kitsune
It's confirmed, I can only draw decently when I'm pissed off.
For no reason at all, this is exactly how I wanted to draw this monster and I couldn't draw it for shit until now.

He's a leaf monster that attacks people who don't play in his pile of leaves. (Maybe I'll have an extra snipit of this guy)

The snowfield before them held a quiet they had never heard before. This silence stilled the air around them, seeming as though the land ran on it's own time. If they were unaware of this land's essence, they'd easily assume this to be a world of its own.
This quiet was broken when the mounds of snow beside them started to collapse to their sides. Each falling one by one until the field was viable in its entirety. Not so far in front of them, they saw the ground moving and before they had time to react they all flinched when the land erupted, with snow that covered it flying into the air.
"Is that it?" Lazarus said trying to clear his snowcapped vision.
As the snow fell, they saw into the clear blue sky and spotted a pair of fangs cutting into the sun. A coiling beast circled until the sun beamed behind it and there they saw drips of crystal blue leaking from the creature's underbelly.
"It has to be, but is that a wound of survival or freedom?" Cassie said.
"Or maybe that's the pain of losing itself." Tachi spoke softly.
As they watched the sky, they waited for the scales of judgement to answer their fears....
