After so many years Morgana and Kayle are finally in a cinematic again!!!
This really represents well a late game duo... Morg stunning the enemy Aatrox so the full build Kayle evaporating him.
Morg embracing her full power... You can hear the sheer pain in her scream along with the music- whyyyy Kayle, it's your sister, you have to show you love her before she dies and you hate yourself for the rest of your infinitely long life (the only moment we see Kayle loving Morgana is when she dies)
Loved the small detail of the wind actually embracing Yasuo... Also, it's so bittersweet seeing him not killing those soldiers - like, he's obviously not hitting them, it's not an accidental or anything. Poor thing has been killing for so long.
Also, that giant lurking figure of the Wolf in the woods, and the shining arrow of the Lamb? That's a masterpiece.
Anyway, there's something so incredibly sad about seeing him old- even with the perspective of him living a whole life, the brute remind of the time passing carries so much sorrow... Him accepting the arrows instead of running or blocking them....

Aaand they FINALLY REMEMBERED ABOUT TRYNDA AND ASHE it's so sweet seeing his anger disappear the moment he sees Ashe. I hope they write some histories about these two again.

Anyway, the Kindred are the best, no explanation needed. Trynda fighting off the Wolf (well, technically he's fighting off the other human enemies), the Lamb just watching most of the time- you can feel the anormality, the ethereal, mystical feeling in these images
Since it has been on my mind again, I want to talk about maybe another idea that could have been cool to see Riot Forge try out: a game set in ancient Shurima that focuses on the story of the Ascended versus the Void, or how the Darkin would become the Darkin. Or something that does both?
It could maybe something like the Civilization series of games, or maybe something like what I've seen of Marvel's Midnight Suns. Now that I think about, a smaller version of Midnight Suns would probably be a good idea for a game set around the Ascended versus the Void. I have heard that Midnight Suns is like XCOM, a game I have never played, so maybe whoever it was that Riot Forge could have hypothetically gotten for the game could pull off a 2D version of that gameplay.
Kinda wish I had more to say, but the ideas are not popping in my head all that easily. I do think it would be cool to get more of an idea on the Darkin before they were the Darkin, so who knows, maybe Riot themselves will give the idea a try one day.
So... still thinking of Darksiders/League of Legends crossovers, and one thing that could be cool to see? War fighting Aatrox. Just imagine it! The Red Rider versus The Darkin Blade! A battle for the ages! Some of the biggest and baddest of their universes likely quake in fear once one of them show up!
Could War be the one to not only destroy the Darkin Blade, but finally put Aatrox to rest? Or would Aatrox come out on top with War as a new, powerful vessel for his plan to end the world?
I could potentially see it going either way. I am entirely unsure which would come out on top in more scenarios. Both are functionally immortal, with the power to potentially end worlds when at their strongest.
Hmmm. The brighter side of my mind makes me want War to potentially win this, at least so that the Darkin Blade himself can hopefully finally die. Aatrox only wishes to end the world because he's a broken man who is unkillable, all in the hopes that by ending everything that it would include his own end. Maybe War could give Aatrox that finality he so wishes for?

Ionian yokai festival aatrox x yone au thingy????
yeah so. i was thinking, aside from talking and maybe hunting azakana (assuming that aatrox could see them), how could these two spend their time together. maybe, if there's a spirit blossom festival, maybe there's also some sort of yokai spirits-and-ghosts-only festival. think either tgcf ghost city or spirited away's spirit world. somewhere deep inside ionian forests, there's a field of red lights and invisible stalls, scurrying spirit merchants and strange ghostly foods and clothes from all over the darkest corners of Ionia. and just. the very stupid idea that yone brings aatrox to one of these festivals. they lie about aatrox - that he's some sort of angry bat forest spirit, and they get a pass. i don't think it's in their character to go around looking for attractions, so instead they maybe buy some food or clothes that'll dissapear when the sun rised anyway and sit in lonely places, watching after the liveliness of the undead and unforgotten of the festival, in their comfortable understanding silence. i imagine yone trying to coax aatrox into eating something. Yone can't eat human food, so trying some ghost delicacies was a breath of fresh air, even if some of them were outright weird. aatrox doesn't see the point. but tries it anyway, stupidly enough, he can feel the taste - but he doesn't feel so good afterwards. maybe eating ghost food when you aren't a ghost is a bad idea. and maybe when everything calms down, when there's fewer and fewer spirits left passing them, they share a dance under the red lanterns. aatrox is akward, he hasn't done it in this current form at all, and the black silken robe they bought him is getting in place.Yone is no better - he hadn't had the chance to dance at all before his death, him being the protector and an older sibling, always on guard, and then going after Yasuo after their master's death. so they tumble around. aatrox silently cursing his form again, and yone paying attention to what aatrox tells him a dance should look like. when the festival is over and they find their way to the forest yone currently called home, they think that maybe it wasn't so bad after all. Yone tells Aatrox that he looked handsome in black robes. Aatrox disagrees, unable to take the compliment, but can't supress a smile
Oh and I did some chibi commissions for my boyfriend! I have a link to my Ko-fi where I take these on my carrd and I'll probably make a formal post about these commissions eventually but
I drew my two favourite Darkin as humans based on my interpretation of them in my head that goes on exclusively from Vibes. The noble and kind Aatrox and the playful ruffian rogue Rhaast.
doomed by the narrative but not to death. doomed to survive. doomed to stay alive inside the story. doomed to never escape the narrative, not even through death. you are allowed no exit. there is no way out for you and there never was. you couldn’t die if you wanted to. the narrative has a hold on you and it won’t let go. death is too sweet a doom for you. the story has something much worse in mind. there is no way out.
