Hey! I know this blog is mainly for my fanfiction works, but I also want to share that I'm a book cover artist. I create book cover for writers and also make some premades, it can be fantasy, historical romance, sy-fi, horror, etc. Here is some examples here, but you can find most of them on:

This is a commission I worked on for a little over a month. I was asked to work on a book cover spread. I received this commission a while ago but I was finally able to work on it.
I was also asked to make an ebook cover for this too. It's basically the front cover of the spread.

the dornish plot would've been better if they all survived and myrcella baratheon would become the queen of the seven kingdoms with arys oakheart as commander of the queensguard and arianne as her hand + ruling princess of dorne (with trystane somewhere in the background as prince consort)

HA-MELEKH SCROLL (Ottoman Empire, c.1800)
βThis scroll opens with an elaborate depiction of the Signs of the Zodiac, a recurrent motif in decorated megillot. According to a midrash, when Haman plotted to destroy the Jewish nation, he consulted the zodiac to determine an auspicious time to carry out his scheme. He decided that the month of Adar, which corresponds with the sign of Pisces (fish), would be the best time because Haman would be able to devour and destroy the Jews just as big fish swallow small ones. God, however, was infuriated by Haman and thwarted his plans, stating βFish sometimes swallow their prey, but they too can be swallowedβ (Esther Rabbah 7:11).
In this image of the zodiacal wheel, which turns clockwise around the sun, the artist emphasized the role that Pisces/Adar played in the Purim story. He depicted the fish as larger in scale than the other signs, and placed them outside the circle, next to the signs that precede it, Capricorn and Aquarius. The decorative border above and below this panel ex- tends as continuous bands throughout the megillah, with similar designs framing the sides of each text column
This type of scroll is known as a ha-melekh scroll because most of the columns begin with the word ha-melekh (the king) as a result of a deliberate ar- rangement of the text. In the book of Esther, this appellation refers to King Ahasuerus. Rabbis suggest- ed, however, that emphasis be placed on the word ha-melekh as an allusion to God, the King of Kings, whose name is not mentioned explicitly in the scroll.β

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
I don't have access to desk-top-publishing software - I use Microsoft Word - there are many settings to control placement so images don't impact on the flow of the text!
In a final version I may put an image on the cover page, or on a page before the chapter; or a small image at the beginning of the chapter before the text, or at the end of the chapter after the text; or multiple small images in the outside margin ...Β
That leads to a separate conversation about page layout design ...
