Digital illustration referencing Americana style Folk Art. It depicts a brown mouse with a scarf standing against two windows, one window shows the countryside where you can see the river, a cow, a windmill, a truck and trees. The other window shows the city, where you can see a car, a house, a train, and various tall and small buildings.
Digital illustration referencing Fernand Léger (cubism). Two mice, a brown one and a grey one, are sitting on top of two muffins, in the background you can see different foods. On the brown mouse side you can see corn, flour, tomatoes and eggs. On the grey mouse side you can see pizza, candy and baked goods.
Digital illustration referencing Kandinsky. On the foreground you can see the top of the heads of 2 mice, peeking. The background is light yellow, on one side you can see the city, simplified as just lines and circles, a couple buildings, a zebra crossing, a semaphore. On the other side you can see a hill a tree and the night sky, clouds, the moon and colorful round stars

so an acquaintance of mine wrote a short story about 2 mice talking about the differences between the city and the countryside and I made these, 100% used it as an excuse to make studies of a couple art styles

A digital drawing of a slightly floppy sheep plushie with black hooves and a smaller, pink, long-limbed rabbit plushie with droopy ears. The two plushies are smiling and holding each other. The sheep is named Snowflake and the rabbit is named Bitsy.

Hi! I’m in the early stages of making a picture book based on two of my stuffed animals growing up, and I’m experimenting with the art style I want to use. Any thoughts on this test drawing of the two characters? I’m struggling a little with the line values… but this is just a first pass, the idea is to learn what I want for the book and determine how I can achieve that : )

If it makes a difference, I want the book to explore childhood OCD via Bitsy. The tone is light and gentle, kind of like Winnie the Pooh.

their art is actually very pretty. It’s a shame that people have to even worry about their life, it’s bad that people have to ask for money online to survive. This genocide shouldn’t be happening. (It is considered a genocide, yes?)

I hope people in danger get the help they need. I’m sorry I don’t know much about this topic and that I’m not able to contribute much. I try to reblog donation posts to make sure more people see the posts, I hope everything goes well very soon.

Stay safe.

Also I would like to add; I like how the illustrations convey messages yet they seem lighthearted and colorful at first glance before you look harder and see the message. I’m not trying to be rude by saying that, I just thought that was very impressive and that was what stuck out to me. The person who made these illustrations are very talented, I’m not meaning to be offensive I am just very interested in art and I wanted to say the thoughts that came to me from this. I don’t know how to properly communicate my thoughts in a delicate manner during a serious situation, I hope I didn’t accidentally say something wrong it isn’t my intention.

Please stay safe.

"what use is it to be an illustrator of children's books when the world has sentenced the children of your country to the death penalty, to vanish, to genocide?"

this is an illustration for youssef, whose mother is remembered running desperately into the hospital asking if anyone had seen a "small white boy with beautiful curly hair, his name is youssef," a description which was remembered by millions when she finally identified his body:

"we want a new year that doesn't kill us or our children, we want it a year without blood, without screaming, without pain, we want a new attempt to get our lives back, or something that resembled our life, even if life is a lie we still cling to it, return life to us—a new year's card unlike any other year:"
