Martyn and Ren: *Demon roleplaying a dinner with False offering sacrifices of the other hermits + Skizz*
A pair of demons on a nice fire-lit dinner. They're eating said fire (and bones) Their waitress is getting them more bones).
"Decked Out was quiet, almost too quiet. The only thing that I could hear was my own breathing. I don’t like this. I don’t like being here, alone."

Ah, finally, the drawing of Decked Out itself. Despite the snow originating from here, the blizzard itself is surprisingly... calm.
This drawing took a long time to do. But still, I'm glad that I finished it.
Now I can start drawing the hermits themselves and other things. Perhaps even focus on other ideas and oc stuff.
I have been rewatching secret life and once again I refuse to be normal about the fact that when the task had warden wrangling in it, TANGO WAS OUT THAT WEEK.
Secret life happened in the middle of decked out 2 being playable and there is something to me about that coincidence that just is so wild.
(I know that irl tango was on vacation and then sick but IN UNIVERSE)
Just I love the idea if Secretkeeper writing the hard tasks down, knowing they will get to Grian and Etho and idea of like one of the watcheres or Grian himself reading it and responding "well at least they have Tango, and he may roll the butler task" and Secretkeeper realising that shit, they indeed have Tango, who already had a success with bringing a warden up to the surface in a life series, and also has been working with wardens for months at this point and probably knows the most obscure things about them and how to best detain them and they have to do something about Tango, because they can't have him there.
So in a panic they last second replace a very confused Tango with Ren, but Etho is the one who gets to bring up the warden, and well, let's just say that he knows the creatures of the dungeon almost as well as the creator of it himself.
I just love the idea of conversation between secretkeeper and watchere going something like:
'what about Tango?'
'what about him?'
'he has his own game, full of those things, done without having to ascend'
and Secretkeeper afterwards just very quickly swapping Ren and Tango, last minute in a panic.
So my idea for The guide Jimmy is that all the one that summons him has to do is tell him where they need to go or what they need to find and then he will enter a trance and slowly make his way straight towards it and he will not stop
That is the hard part they have to not lose track of him and keep any mobs or traps from getting to him because he won’t be able to move out of the way and they have to be patient with him because he moves at an agonizingly slow pace even if something is chasing them and they can’t wake him because if they disturb him to much he’ll snap out of the trance and he’s only able to do it once per summoner
Also if anyone gets frustrated enough and starts yelling at Jimmy to move faster or insults him they get a penalty it’s not a game over but it’s a warning
It’s an annoying escort mission for the summoner but to us its something else entirely
Idk if you do art requests at all or whatever this is but what do you think Jimmy would wear if he lived in the Citadel? (Or whatever Tangos mega(?) Base was called)
Perhaps, sometimes, you can find a special card that summons the Dungeon Guide, who makes navigating a bit easier and more pleasant. Just don't let him die or your clank will max out and all doors will close.

someone actually has to explain to me what was going on in the decked out streams..
I just watched like one hour of Joel's live before my device died and now I'm extremely confused..... since when is treebark back....
Theory Time!
Okay! Just to preference this theory, I don't actually think it's true. It would just be rrrreeeeaaally funny if it were.
So you know the trend where future hermits are kind of invited in by existing hermits before making their debut in the next season? Like how Tango helped Mumbo with an iron farm in season 2 or Pearl helped Grian with his mansion in season 7. Lil sneak peaks for the audience, if you will.
Well, what recent event occured where several minecrafters were invited onto the server? What dungeon crawling card collecting game do we know of that didn't just bring the server together, but brought several YouTubers outside of HermitCraft in on the fun as well?
See what I'm getting at?
"But wait!" You say. "That included six players! And the poster only showed us two shadow figures. That math just doesn't add up."
And okay, yes. I'm bad at math, I can admit that (no need to point it out so blatantly, sheesh). But what if those six players were competing for more than just frost emeralds and crowns? What if they were competing for.... The whitelist!
Eh? Eh?
This is where my theory gets funny, and ridiculous too. Imagine a HermitCraft meeting. Xisuma asks if anyone has some ideas of who should join next season. And everyone chimes in. They all have a suggestion. All 24 of them (Xisuma as head of HermitCraft acts as judge so he's supposed to be neutral, and TFC did also vote, but no one can see ghosts through discord).
"This is great and all," Xisuma says. "I'm really proud you've all made so many friends, but that's just too many to add to one season. Let's trim it down, shall we?"
And they do. To six mcyters. But it's still too much. And now everyone is at a stalemate. Thus the Great HermitCraft Meeting Debate of 2023 begins.
The debaters go round and round. Great points are made, passionate speeches, a comprehensive presentation with bars and graphs and statistics. Even some advertisements with the popular icon Scar advocating for several candidates all in separate videos. But it remains a stalemate.
Finally, when all hope is lost, a suggestion is made. Why not make them compete? Everyone loves Decked Out 2, it's been all most of them can think of for the past few months (years of we're talking about the dungeon master himself). What if all six candidates play the game and whoever wins joins HermitCraft next season. The Hermits all love this idea. Tango agrees to rent out his dungeon, on the stipulation that non of the candidates know what they are competing for. After all, Decked Out is supposed to be fun and he'd hate for his friends experience of his game to be overshadowed by real world stakes and stress.
Several more rules are added to keep things fair (though Doc grumbles that it doesn't matter how many rules you put down when certain tricksters excell at finding loop holes so is this really fair? Yes yes it is, Grian and Scar say at the same time) and a betting pool is placed before things are set in motion and this the great Decked Out 2 Special Event began.
This is all definitely real and not made up fun for the funsies so definitely take this with your utmost serious serious face. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

Gang, this was a mistake, any sense of focus I had on these attacks is gone, it's just me, Etho, and half a billion Wardens.
This game is legitimately soooo well done. Wishing I had gotten into it ages ago, and grateful that I didn't find it prior to my final exams.
Is it a Genie luring the Minotaur back into the Maze?
Or is it just a Ghost, disguised as a Dungeon Maser, trying to bribe his friend into playing the bad guy in his dungeon?
Either way, it's Minotaur Impulse and Ghost Tango (or Tanghost) for the Hermit fanon swap!
