I’ve just finished re-watching Hawaii Five-0 and as much as I love the show and the characters, there’s something about Danny that was bugging me to the point of screaming, while watching the first seasons of the show and it literally makes me want to strangle him everytime and it is how dismisive he was of Hawaiian culture and he would often mock it and it makes me so incredibly annoyed and it really makes me dislike him, I think in later seasons it doesn’e happen as often as in the later seasons, but the first few seasons I just want to shoot him. that is incredibly annoying and it makes me think of all the tik toks about americans disrespecting different cultures. anyway this is my mini rant, because I realised how much it bugged me
Hey I’ve been watching One Chicago in the order thanks to your list. I was hoping you could do the same treatment for the NCIS series? (I know that universe includes Hawaii Five-O and some other things, which would be great, but I won’t ask too much. Keep up the good work
Hey fellow NCIS fan!! :) Sorry for the late response!
It’s been a while since I came across someone who actually knows about this show! It’s so popular and has so many spin-offs, I never understand how no one seems to have heard about it!
I’ve watched up until the middle of NCIS season 12, started season 9 of NCIS: LA, and just a couple episodes of NCIS: New Orleans before I was ready to rip all my hair off hearing them trying to speak French. I haven’t kept up-to-date in a hot minute though, because I watched all those Bellisario shows on TV cable, which I don’t have anymore. From what I know of, there’s also that NCIS: Red thing I’m not sure actually got released, and JAG and Hawaï Five-O I didn’t watch at all.
So from what I remember, the shows don’t interact that much with each other, maybe one or two times a season, maybe more when a spin-off is announced. Would a list really be useful? I remember feeling really confused when the next episodes didn’t picked up where they left, only to find online it was a crossover and concluded on another show.
Considering the universe includes a lot of shows, I guess it could be a good idea to regroup them so the crossovers are clearly identified. Though, since the shows don’t interact that much, I’m afraid most of the ordering wouldn’t matter and would make it more confusing than anything.
Okay, I realize this is a lot of me ranting, so here’s what I’ve decided: I can build a NCIS list based on airing date and make the crossovers stand out in the list. But I’ve started watching NCIS like fifteen years ago, so I don’t remember much and won’t be able to discuss episode ordering like I currently do with the One Chicago list.
So, if you (or any of you!) are interested in managing the NCIS list with me, send me your Gmail (privately; DM, ask that I won’t post, Twitter) and I’ll add you as Editor on the Google Spreadsheet!
Thanks for the suggestion! Stay safe! :)

MOSBY'S MARAUDERS aka WILLIE AND THE YANK (Dir: Michael O'Herlihy, 1967).
Originally produced for US television, Mosby's Marauders in a fictional historical drama set during the American Civil War.
Young Confederate Willie Prentiss (Kurt Russell) is protected by Union Corporal Henry Jenkins (James MacArthur) after accidentally shooting his commanding officer Lieutenant Mosby (Jack Ging). They strike up an unlikely friendship despite fighting on opposing sides. Jenkins soon develops a romantic interest in Willie's cousin Oralee (Peggy Lipton), further complicating their already compromised friendship and arousing the suspicions of Jenkins superior Sgt Gregg (Nick Adams).
Mosby's Marauders was originally screened in three parts on Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color in January 1967, under its US title Willie and the Yank. Retitled, it was shown in UK cinemas on the second half of a double feature with Monkeys Go Home (Andrew V. McLagan, 1967).
Its appealing cast is headed by 15 year old Kurt Russell, previously seen in Disney's Follow Me, Boys! (Norman Tokar, 1966). Although Disney would later cast him exclusively in light comedy, he acquits himself well here in a dramatic performance. James MacArthur was a Disney regular from a decade earlier. His co-starring role as 'the Yank' was his first for the studio since Swiss Family Robinson (Ken Annakin, 1960). Always underrated as an actor, MacArthur would find greater fame a year later in the role of Danny in TVs Hawaii Five-O (1968-80).
Mosby's Marauders is an unusual Civil War picture, in that it is told from the perspective of the South. Yet this is no Confederate flag waver and is told in a fairly matter of fact manner, sympathetic with the plight of those fighting for both North and South.
Modern audiences, especially children, may be put off by the movie's subject matter and the fairly dry manner in which it is presented. Still, Mosby’s Marauders is a handsome outdoor adventure with none the budgetary restraints one might expect from a TV movie. Not for everyone, perhaps, but a quality product which is well worth a watch.

I love when the Leverage team so obviously gloats but no one believes the baddie when they point it out. So since I have been binging Hawaii five-o like crazy I want a Leverage/H50 crossover where the team brings in the H50 crew for help for a job (maybe the leverage team are in Hawaii and a job finds them and Eliot's like I have an army navy buddy that can help us) and at the end of the job the h50 crew is about to disperse and the leverage crew is like "wait no we have to go gloat" 😂😂 and obviously it sparks an argument between Steve and Danny (cause Steve is always happy to gloat about a job well done no matter how insanely they got it done)
and now thinking about it I want a conversation between Steve and Eliot where they talk about Eliot deciding against using guns 🥺
anyway I want all the leverage/h50 crossovers (and 9-1-1 😝)
They're not as unhinged anymore.
I miss their unhinged vibes
Number of episodes since Danny was last seen: 3 0
He's backkk. And snacking on animal crackers 😂😂
I was watching game changer and-

This is Steve and Danny (except for it's New Jersey and Hawaii) 😂😂
I am a sucker for soldiers returning from duty and surprising their families and everyone cries and hugs and it's so sweet 🥺🥺
So imagine that but for McDanno. Maybe Steve and Danny met when Steve was still on active duty but on leave for like a week or two. (Maybe they meet in Jersey?) And they start a relationship and Steve meets Grace too. (And anytime he has leave he stays with them).
Fast forward to the future and Danny is freaking out because Steve hasn't called and any second now he expects a call with the worst news of his life and how is he going to tell Grace - when someone at HPD (Meka? Duke?) says someone is looking for him and when he asks who they shrug and continue on their way (but secretly follow Danny to record the reaction) and when Danny gets downstairs and sees Steve in his Navy blues and he just stops in his tracks then marches forward and starts hitting Steve on his chest and you asshole I thought you were dead. Come here. And finally kisses Steve. And everyone cheers.
And then they go surprise Grace at school (this time with Danny recording) and she runs into Steve's arms and cries and they all go home.
(They play Danny's reaction at their wedding a few years later 🥰)
Have been obsessed with the song Bed of Roses lately and it gave me the idea for this short thing.
I want to lay you down in a bed of roses
"That sounds comfortable. Are you going to join me on this hypothetical bed, Steven?" Danny says leaning against the doorframe watching a singing Steve. Steve smiles at him and keeps singing.
For tonight I'll sleep on a bed of nails
"Of course you would, you self sacrificing goof"
Steve makes his way towards Danny holding his hand out at the next words and pulls him into a hug, Danny's head against his chest.
Oh I want to be just as close as the Holy Ghost is
And lay you down on a bed of roses
They keep swaying as the song finishes and the last notes ring out.
They stay close a few moments more until Danny takes Steve's hand and pulls him towards their bedroom.
"C'mon let's go to our normal, comfortable bed. No need for roses or nails tonight"
Steve chuckles quietly and just says "Ok. Love you Danno"
"Love you too, you putz"

“actual married couple” mcdanno part 3
Steve: *carrying all the grocery bags in one trip*
Danny: *reaches out to help*
Steve: *switches the bags to one arm so he can hold Danny’s hand*
Danny: that’s not what I- okay
Thoughts on H50 Season 9 so far.
I love H50 to bits (I binged 8 seasons of it and plan to rewatch it from the start) but season 9 has had a couple of rough episodes.
Episode 1 was great with Steve tortured and Danny worried
Episode 3 felt a little bit filler-y but not bad.
Episode 4 was great too with Joons and Jerry heart to heart. it was really moving. and let's not forget Steve and Danny the fishing for feet 😂
Then Episode 5. I was bored most of episode 5. I love Eric and anytime he shows up. He needs to show up more. Also love Noelani. And wow Jerry's friends are dicks. Also very obvious Bo was not the killer. Also also - Jerry is now with five-0 why didnt he go to Steve and Danny and be like "i think there was a murder but no one believes me". He definitely would've been able to use five-o resources. More than he had at least.
Episode 6 was fun. With Danny laughing at Steve getting arrested 😂
So was Episode 7. Time-wimey solving a 90 year old cold case while dreaming. Singer Tani. Get to know a little bit more about Steve's grandad. Great episode.
Then we get to Episode 8. Oh this episode was not good. My least favourite episode of the whole show. Forgiving family just because they're family even when they treat you like shit. Even Lou's wife wasn't on his side 😠(and she's always been on his side. I loved the episode where he thinks his best friend killed his wife and she's like "if you think he did it, prove it") and then it all gets solved in one little scene at the end where Lou's brother does a whole 180 in personality. Sure.... 🙄
Also, was not a huge fan of the Adam story line and that it got resolved in the first five minutes of Episode 9. It was such a big deal for so long with the whole Tani "should I trust him or not" and then we didn't even get the investigation? And then it was the banker dude (Mr. Kimura). Like that doesn't even make sense. Adam and his relationship seemed pretty close. And he had no vested interest in the other yakuza bosses. Make it a member from one of the other yakuza families that aren't getting paid anymore. Have Tani and him finish the investigation.
Then thankfully Episode 9 was back to being good. Vigilantes, superheroes, conspiracies. Good stuff.
I also did like that Steve and Danny let go of the resto. And I like Steve not wanting to get Danny mad and Danny immediately going oh thank god. i want out too ("if you're out, I'm out"). The boys are always in synch <3.
