I need people to see the beauty that is a friendship between Maxwell and WX-78. They're both so chaotic and funny, and some of the only nice dialogue Maxwell has about the other survivors comes from their interactions, even going as far as to say he actually liked them and sees them as a friend (though in his own Maxwell-y way. The exact quote is from when WX dies. "A shame about your death, %. You were the only one I half-liked.")

But also, none of WX's dialogue is exactly hostile towards him, either. It all reads to me as vauge teasing. Say what you want, but they definitely are friends.

This also makes sense if you notice that WX wasn't brought to the constant by Maxwell, they were pushed through the portal by Wagstaff! They don't have a connection to Maxwell that's inherently bad, if anything, it's neutral ground. There's no genuine animosity between the two of them, so their teasing and bickering towards eachother seems very lighthearted!

Also, due to Wagstaff looking so much younger in the short than as we know him, it's safe to assume that they're set further into the past than Wilson and the others, instead of the 1920's, it'd probably be around the 1900's, when Maxwell was still William, or at least, newly received the codex. I feel like William and Woodrow would be good friends.

Ahhh im a fan of the gang (Maya, Larry, Gumshoe, Miles etc) going to Phoenix’s place like every other weekend and the intent is always to eat some food and hang but Trucy always convinces them to play some game and at first they’re like ‘uhhh love idk abt this’ but 5 minutes in everyone is super into it. If you think about the things that happened to the babies I'm surprised they are so happy in AGU. I would traumatized if I got lost in the woods, my dad being married to a woman that doesn't like your or slowly losing oxygen in a submarine never to see my parents again.

Watching everyone somehow enjoy the ending while you sulk in the corner, cause you read the last chapter 2 years ago and have been hating it ever since:

i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?

Yushoku refers to non-white dogs in the Kishu Ken. Originally white dogs only made up about 30% of the breed, but due to the popularity of a particular line of white dogs, as well as the ease of covering up imperfect markings with a white coat, white became much more popular. And since white is recessive, once the genes for pigmented coats are gone, you have to have another yushoku to bring them back into the lines. This made it very easy to breed only white dogs, and many people actually believe that white is the “preferred” color, although the NIPPO standard specifies no preference.

Yushoku Kishu are rare these days, mostly popping up in hunting lines in Japan if I’m not mistaken. However, efforts are being made by the breeders here in the states to preserve these dogs. Cosmia was the first yushoku Kishu born outside of Japan-- her whole litter of four was yushoku, actually, but she was puppy #1. :) The only other yushoku Kishu here before that were her dam, and her sire’s dam. And now there’s a whole new litter of six born! @crispbean is also importing a yushoku male sometime in the next month or so, I believe? So we’re slowly upping our numbers.

This page is a really good resource if you want to learn more about what colors Kishu can come in, as well as the genetics behind it. Yushoku itself isn’t a specific color, and most yushoku (Cosmia included) would be considered “sesame,” although the variance within the sesame coloration is much greater than it should be. Since the genes for a white coat are essentially just “covering up” another color, a lot of yushoku Kishu end up with “undesirable” traits that had been hiding in white lines, such as masks or uneven pigmentation.

Cosmia’s dam, Shizuka, had six healthy puppies last night. And they’re all yushoku! That more than doubles the number of yushoku Kishu here in the states. Very cool!
