Horatio fans got active recently so I'll reblog some posts from my Horatio-simp era

Horatio appeared twice in A Map of Days and Conference of the Birds /don’t remember exactly, this two fused together in my head/and literally starring in last ten chapters of The Desolations of Devil's Acre.
He has more context in his few chapters of presence than anyone else has in six books!
His contradictory feelings for H, the decision to protect the children by prioritizing their lives over his own even though he doesn't have to actually. The consequences are for adults [yeah, Jacob?], so Horatio loses his arm while saving kids. None of other characters were injured equally.
[i remember that Fiona lost her tongue but she still can speak somehow]
Horatio is responsible and has a strong sense of duty. He's also the only person in the damn series who speaks straight without being inappropriately mysterious. Jacob needed it. I needed it.
Horatio is stoic, strong and golden-hearted mentor figure im not sure about father figure i see him more like teacher / mentor

I also like Sharon. And I'm upset that nothing is known about him at the end of tdoda...
Another one thing I want to specify:
Horatio's appearance
We have this picture in book and i like it BUT he was described in the text as blond so—
He looks so young my poor little meow meow;;
— so I immediately associated him with Nanami Kento from Jujutsu Kaisen anime
Nanami-san is sharing same character features [stoic, strong and golden-hearted mentor figure]. He's calm and responsible. ALSO! he’s wearing glasses completely covering his eyes almost all the time.
Stylish... handsome man...
All right, all right, I'll stop simping! Just one more thing! His way of speaking sounds a little mechanical, so the voiceover suits Horatio, too
And lastly, the wise words of a wise man.
You've fased several life-or-death situations. But that does not make you an adult.

Ok so quick question (and I’m just asking myself this because I just read the book well the graphic novel I’m still waiting for the other books to come in the mail )
But did Abe (aka Jacobs grandfather) cheat/had an affair
Since its canon that Abe & Emma use to date but then the war came and Abe had to go in fight in the war then come home to the peculiars and life a happy life but that didn’t happened
And like in the graphic novels it states that they wrote letters to each other but Abe wrote less & less and there was a pic of a little girl being held by a man (witch I supposed it’s Abe holding Jacobs mother) so if that’s true
Witch also means that he’s Jacob’s mom dad and that little girl can be her
(Sooo yeah this can be dumb but I just wanna say it)
Idk why but I just can’t take Ricky’s voice in the audio book that was listening to he just sounds like a south old day

Frank & Susan:Those/the story’s are the reason on why children are fed 
Reminds me of Abe & frank & Susan portman relationship because of the particulars, hollowgasts
And that maybe if frank wants Jacob have a different relationship with him or no relationship at all since Abe was a shit dad to him & Susan since they thought that he was having an affair because of a letter that Emma sensed
And that he maybe just wanted to protect him from all the stuff that Abe put them through when they were kids since he did neglect both of them and that he wanted to protect Jacob from all those story’s that mad
And that fact that he has a gun safe and sleep with a gun or a few guns (I wouldn’t be surprised if he did sleep with more than one gun)
Sorry but am I the only one who wonders what happened in Jacob’s job/work smart aid like
Like what happened in that job to make a teenager do ANYTHING & EVERYTHING just for his manager to fire. him and why isn’t he aloud to quit like I know that it’s a family tradition to work at the company (well in his mother side of the family) I think
And just imagine instead of a few pages of the 1st book is Jacob working we get a WHOLE chapter of him working and being miserable being there and we see
Some drama & tea and maybe we see him having a work friend or just someone he can talk too and that we see him deal with customers

Another thought about Jacob & Ricky and I’m just gonna post about them (especially Ricky) and it’s about them going to Abe’s house or just the car ride

Since Abe wasn’t abuse but he was traumatized by the war since his whole family died by the monsters and he also moved a lot then met miss peregrine
Then after a few years he met his wife and had kids with her then after that he became the abuser since he was a neglectful dad and probably a husband to Frank & Susan mom and probably made her a single mother for the most of their childhoods
And this is just a thought that he also didn’t know how to be a dad at all
And now frank met Maryann and had Jacob and then he didn’t become the abuser but only after his dad died and that impacted Jacob for a few weeks to months
So after that then he probably became the abuser to Jacob since he called him crazy and also dented him to some hospital or somewhere and also had 2 people help them to sent him away(I can’t remember)
Mans this is just an opinion that maybe Jacob going to miss peregrines is just like a person going to the internet and being more happy their then with their own family’s
