Reading AO3 fics on Kindle
I really love my Kindle, so I was wondering if I could do this. The answer is YES.
If you have a kindle, go to ‘content and devices’ on you amazon account. Then choose the settings tab, and at the bottom there will be an email address for your kindle device. You also need to authorize an email address the kindle can receive emails from.
Now go to AO3, and click the download button on the fic you want. From there select the .mobi format
Download the file, and send it to you kindle email.
Then it will show up on your kindle as a document, but it reads just like any other book! YAY.

I assume that if you are reading an unfinished fic, you might have to delete from the device and then send again when updated.
But honestly, one of my big barriers to reading long fics whether done or stull in progress is just getting the time to get started, and being able to put it on a reading device will sure help.

first, go to the desired ao3 story. on the navigation bar, towards the edge, there is going to be a download button. I select download as EPUB, but I think PDF might also work.
this downloaded file will save to the downloads folder of your device.
2. then, go to amazon.com/sendtokindle and drag the file into the file upload box (you will have to be logged into your amazon account for this).
It may take a few minutes but once it is uploaded, it will be transferred into the kindle device linked to your account.
3. when you open you library in your kindle, you might have to restart your kindle device (turn on and off again) for it to refresh and pull in the new file!

This will probably be funny to no one but me, but I was looking at the information on ATDTFs (yknow? The roomba book with all the cults, the undead, the culty undead, and daddy issued 13 year olds? ) And the authors notes on the series say "An autobiography." And I was so confused so I looked at the authors profile and its a roomba. I'm not sure to be confused or scared

So there’s a read aloud function on my Kindle, so I thought it would be funny to turn it on and hear this in its robotic voice.
