Rating the chats of streamers I watch

Feel free to add on! Also this is all opinion and for a laugh. (And sorry I don’t watch that many people :/)

1. Technoblade- 8/10

Chat has improved greatly since 2019 era, there’s now lots of in jokes and a less toxicity. Most of this score comes from chat’s skill to sustain a spam- e.g ‘ONE OF US’ which can last for minutes and completely fills up the stream. There’s little trauma dumping, and as I’ve already mentioned, the in jokes work well and have lasted. And So Much Charity! Well done us, and keep it up for the rest of February for the Sarcoma donation. Techno and his viewers have done a lot. Mods are all iconic as well, so much love.

2. Tommy- 2/10

As we’ve all gathered- pretty terrible performance on our part. Spam never goes very well, except for when encouraged, demonstrated by Tommy’s chatbot on his recording server (so much love for Grumbot Jr Jr). Lots of random messages, and we need to send more support when he asks if we wanna hear about Youtube! 

3. Wilbur- 3/10

Works best in sub only- otherwise there’s some trauma dumping, and so much private information spam. In the meantime, Wilbur does a good job of educating people on internet safety, but for goodness sake, stop spamming your birthday and location! You’ll get banned by Twitch!

4. Grian- 6/10

Lots of positivity in MCC especially when it comes to buildmart and he goes god mode. We do pretty well on the donation front too when it comes to Grian’s school building project. I wish he did a Youtube giving thing as well, but I don’t know enough about how it works to know if it would be helpful. The MCC Pride chat really let us down, but it was only a few individuals. Wish he could have banned them, or maybe find some more mods for when he does stream though it’s pretty rare.

5. Illumina- 7/10

I know we all struggle watching his runs when he doesn’t look at chat, especially on his no-mic account haha. Otherwise, there’s lots of people to have proper conversations with on strats, and I learn a lot. Very educational- extra point!

6. Msushi- 10/10

I don’t know a lot of people who watch him (he does Portal speedruns) but chat is lovely and there’s a great community. He’s also very interactive with it, and i end up getting to have great conversations with other chatters, and learn a lot about Portal which I don’t play myself. 

7. Philza- 10/10

Just incredibly well managed, and amazing mods. (Pet the mods!) Some great sustained spam on occasion, but I mostly watch him not the chat haha.

Please add on with whoever you’d like, this could also be a bit of a guide for how to watch/chat. Regardless of their chats, continue to give your streamers support, they do a lot! 

Final note- pay your mods, and appreciate them!

ppl be like "but tommys just a kid!1" to excuse everything but then when you bring up the fact that niki and jack are too suddenly it's not the same.

jack and nikis hatred and trauma is misguided and they're directing it at the wrong person, ill definitely admit that, but they're basically children too!! they've gone through sm without ANYONE giving a shit, and not having ANYONE buy their side. jack was there, fighting along side them for independence and niki had one of her closest friends (wilbur) die and she has no idea that's he's still alive!! complex characters who are fighting for the right cause but going about it the wrong way!! also blowing up tommy is really funny so ill allow it

TLDR; jack and niki are kids too, and have gone through nearly as much shit as tommy, we just might not see it as the audience because tommys always been the 'main character'.

Im trying a new schedule where I try to post every Friday but my possum post blew up last night so I wanted to give that some time. It got way more notes then I've ever gotten and my follower amount increased x8. I want to say thank you to @staff for reblogging me and starting it, thank you to everyone who liked/reblogged, everyone who commented (y'all are funny as hell), and everyone who followed me (I'll try not to disappoint) :)

Writing Progress Log 1

Seeing if maybe documenting my progress will help me keep writing/editing more consistently, even though no one will read this. Won't even try to pretend this is going to be daily or even weekly, LMAO. I've never found journaling appealing. But it's been suggested that I give it a shot.

So, into log 1:

Currently focusing on one particular WIP, which I'm calling "Traveling Bards" (official name TBD). Currently in the first revision round of the third chapter. My goal is to complete a general rough draft by the end of summer (because I will NOT be able to write as much while in school). Bit ambitious, but considering I'm not intending for this to be some massive saga (more like a light novel/novella tbh), I think it's doable.

It certainly won't be great, but it'll be done, which is when I can start focusing on REALLY editing it out. I generally re-read and edit the chapters after I write the first rough draft, but my main aim on those edits are centered more around the actual story; plot points, scene placements, etc. Things that I genuinely can't move forward from without fixing.

It'll likely need more plot revisions after that anyway, but it's easier to edit a story once it's already, y'know, written, than when you've got little more than a single paragraph and a string of concept notes. I've done that for years, it's yet to get me anywhere, so I'll be trying this method instead. I'll adjust accordingly as time goes.

For now, I can low-key feel writer's block already on the horizon; confused already about how to get from point A to point B (or I guess point C?) and I just know I'll be tearing my hair out about that soon. But for now, I'll focus on revising chapter 3 (and 2, because of a detail I added in 3). I can only hope an idea will come to me by then.

The next logs will probably not be nearly this long, lol.
