Didn’t he find the sword when he was like 12.
TBH this wouldn’t even surprise me. Link is ALWAYS sleeping in late. He would probably wake up like *oh crap* and roll all the way to the sword ceremony, then Fi is like. Hmmm. Yes. This is truly the one. He’s always late to the party!
So…I gotta ask.
HOW IN THE FLYING HELL DID LINK GET THE MASTER SWORD IN BREATH OF THE WILD, BEFORE THE CALAMITY?????
All we know is that he is worthy enough to wield it before the Calamity happens. We see it in the memory cutscenes.
But like yo…just how did they know “Yeah, Link. That fucker is the one that can wield the sword. Have him go to Korok Forest and pull that shit from the pedestal.”
Or did the King of Hyrule just have like this yearly “pull the sword from the pedestal once you are seventeen” celebration? Like every person in Hyrule seventeen and older has the chance to pull it from the pedestal but at the risk of EITHER GETTING LOST IN THE LOST WOODS FOREVER OR DROPPING DEAD FROM ATTEMPTING TO PULL IT OUT?!?! However, mister tall-ass Great Deku is the overseer, just to make sure that nobody actually dies from the event so I guess they COULD live.
Like is that the legit reason Link found out? Slept in late for his own celebration, hauled ass to the forest, then pulled out the sword like nothing? GOTTA KNOW!
