We used to pay less for generic foods and products to "save money". But in this instance, the top ranking food and product merchants have become so greedy, that not only do they keep raising their prices, but also decrease plentiness by reducing volumes, sizes and quantities: So that "we pay less to get less", and no longer save on the dollars. And the government(s) turn their eyes to another way, taking no notes on what's happening regardless of their denials.

What started as me attempting to draw Kirin and Bazelgeuse on one page became me sketching most of the OFF cast on the next. I didn't want to draw neatly because I'm tired (midnight once again y'all), so I decided to try something with the style that I don't normally do: something original and not copying the style. (I didn't include Dedan because I hate trying to draw that guy, he always ends up looking like a decayed rat, and that's what I wanted Bad Batter to look like here, so... :/)

say hello to bapho, the traveling merchant of yokei godneu, and the planet of pheron. A mysterious figure how sells a wide variety of magical items, bapho hides their true appearence form everyone. Suspicious as ever, bapho does make good deals for their items, and they usually work as intended, though often these magical items have to do with transformation. Purely chaotic, bapho doesnt have any sort of allegiance with anyone and anything, it’s not even sure what their gender is, all that is know is that they are not human. Bapho is always accompanied by a pet slime that they use to make their various transformation potions and objects, I can’t show it in this photo, but I promise, you will see them later.

Bapho like her name suggests is actually a powerful baphomet, the demon species of sloth, how actually is doing something, equipped with a powerful scythe in her true form, bapho is rather powerful for a Demon. However, despite this, bapho is a peaceful baphomet, just preferring to sell stuff, than fight, unless she has to, and bapho isn’t even her real name, she just uses it to respect the leader of the baphomets, though I haven’t come up with it.
Magic Shop: The Ascendant Apothecary
“New lofty location: Same low prices!”
Setup: While exploring a town in the highlands, the players come across a rather obvious crater at the edge of the settlement, obviously unnatural in origin. Asking around, they discover that the damage was caused when the town’s alchemist decided to pack up shop and leave town after one too many of his clients complained of unsatisfactory side effects in his creations. Though most thought him nothing more than a feckless swindler, the Alchemist Jashik Meuller, apparently managed enough magic to rip his shop and its surrounding anchorage free of the earth and have it float up into the mountains. Though the anger that nearly had Meuller chased out of town by a mob has long faded, his neighbors remember him with little fondness, instead spinning tall tales about al the mischief his creations caused.
Adventure Hooks:
Before he was a village apothecary, Meuller spent years as a traveling huckster attempting to use his middling magical power to charm the powerful into giving him patronage. Invariably one of his slapdash spells causes trouble, and the party are hired to seek him out in the hopes of putting right the chaos he inadvertently caused. Following rumors of his antics, the party eventually finds themselves at the edge of the crater left behind by his sudden departure: and the dangerous, chilly mountain they’ll have to climb if they want to finally track the man down.
While traveling in the mountains, the party runs across a young woman gathering herbs and other small ingredients in the foothills. This is Jashik’s daughter Lisbyth, who’s spent the last ten out of her sixteen years following her father about from one scheme to the next. Unbothered by a life of constant change and frequent “misunderstandings”, she’s delighted to have someone new to talk to as she completes her chores. When it looks like a sudden storm may force the party to find shelter for the evening, Lisbyth suggests that they might shelter in her father’s shop and warm themselves by their hearth.
The Strangely coloured clouds that’ve started drifting down from the mountain are getting a very mixed reception: No one minded the spiraling clouds which rained beautiful hues of light, and the glinting ones that drizzled pennies across the trade river was quite an event, but the pokadotted ones that hail needles, or the mottled sort that rain mice are ill received by the populace. These clouds are caused by the oblivious Jashik “evaporating” the remnants of his failed experiments with a newly built machine, and someone needs to go up the mountain and inform him before he starts a truly disastrous period of trial and error.

So in canon he doesn't have pet sheep, but I gave him one because he reminded me of something and his normal blue coat in canon, also lamb have two heads because he is merchant who is collecting weird stuff all around, I made him into humanoid void because he would fall in that moster type in my lore, also the reason he is omnipresent is that he have pocket dimension he can travel around, don't know about limitations, this is just for fun, he was inspired by minecraft wandering trader
Also have small backstory, he is simple character, but I gave a bit depth because why not
the shepherd wanted to slaughter Punkin and Apple, but Merchant came at the right time, he beat shepherd up, stole his coat and the lamb

so if majority of d12 is white then why even mention a difference in physical characteristics between Seam and Merchant class? no way every single merchant kid has blonde hair or blue eyes or both. and no way seam kids are physically incapable of having blonde hair without merchant blood if they all have the same ancestry. I’m so confused at the logic. I understand that people can be of the same race with different financial/social classes and that is a message you could be sending through your story, but if that was the point then why would Suzanne Collin’s constantly mention a “seam look” throughout the books? wouldn’t it be a “we look the same but our backgrounds divide us” type of thing? Idk man maybe white ppl hair color caste system is just that significant LMAO
